Hello! Welcome to Xereth, Shorty's, and Xenon's Guide to Mario Super Sluggers
Nintendo Wii. This guide is designed to help the least experienced in Mario
Super Slugger to the most experienced gamer looking for just a quick bit of
information. Looking for a specific item or needing to try and find the one
character your needing to fill that roster to beat down Bowser Jr. and his
goons. This guide will cover the ins and outs of Mario Super Sluggers to the
best of myself and Shorty's knowledge about the game. So let's jump in grab
our bats, gloves, and running spikes, and play some ball.
The legal stuff. Unfortunally I have to cover this because some people might
just think they can borrow and do what they want with anyones work and it
does not work that way. So everyone covers this when they create a piece of
work. This document is intended for private use within your home only.
The document is copyright of Joshua A. and Rachel T. Fenton. Please do not
copy and past as your work. Its not nice and I wouldnt do that to anyone
else.

you for your help in this matter.
Mario Super Sluggers offers 3 ways of controlling your characters while in
play on the field and while in challenge mode. So depending on the way you
want to play the game experience will just be a little diffrent. Not by much
but a little. I will explain as best can the 3 diffrent control types you can
use.
Using the Wii Remote upright in play.
A Button: is used while throwing pitches for a changeup, and also while in the
outfield can be used for a jump to catch a ball in mid air. And to use a
special move which will be covered later
B Button: is used for an error item while batting. (error item will be covered
later) And attacking while coming on to a base and having a close call which
will have you chose B or A. Must have the timing right to win an attack to get
on base or at home plate. Can be used while being the team batting or the team
pitching.
A+B Button: Star swing or a Star Pitch. The only way to use a Star swing or a
Star Pictch is to have your Star gauge full. The only way to fill your star
gauge is to have good and nice moves while either pitching or being the batter
at the time.
1 or 2 Button: These buttons are only used while being the batter to perform
a bunt.
- Button: The minus button is not used while using the Wii Remote in an
upright position.
+ Button: is used to call time if you need to do something or to look at the
menu.
Home Button: By now if you havent played a Wii or Wii game before this is a no
brainer for anyone. Home pulls up the screen to let you know about battery
status or to quit the game and go back home or to return to the game you are
currently playing.
Wii Remote while using the Nunchuk. This is by far in my opinion the best set
of controls you can use while playing Mario Super Sluggers. It can be a
challenge at times using this method of controls but I find the game play to
be far more fun for the challenge.
Wii Remote Button Selection
A Button: While batting you can advance the runner to the next plate and even
steal the base you are on. While pitching you can through a changeup, jump
while in the outfield. Also while using the nunchuk do a diving catch and a
special move with another character.(Characters have a good afinity with
another character will have a musical note. This allows for a special move
on the outfield.)
B Button: is used to return to base while the batting side if the other team
has the ball and you cant continue to the following base so you do not end up
out. Also while using the nunchuk you can attack character in a close play or
sending an item while batting.
A+B Button: Star swing or a Star Pitch. The only way to use a Star swing or a
Star Pictch is to have your Star gauge full. The only way to fill your star
gauge is to have good and nice moves while either pitching or being the batter
at the time.
1 and 2 Buttons: These buttons are not used in this configuration of Wii
remote and nunchuk.
- button: is not used in these controls like the upright controls do not use
the minus button either.
+ button:is used to call time if you need to do something or to look at the
menu.
Home Button: By now if you havent played a Wii or Wii game before this is a no
brainer for anyone. Home pulls up the screen to let you know about battery
status or to quit the game and go back home or to return to the game you are
currently playing. Covered this in the upright controls but figured if someone
jumped to this point I should cover just in case you werent paying any
attention before.
Nunchuk Controls
C button: is used to reset the batter/pitcher in the original starting postion
after you may have moved and do not like where you are at while pitching or
hitting.
Z Button: is used to send and error item on the field while you are batting
and also before using an attack item while you are the batter it is used to
bunt the ball. While the pitching team you can pickoff a throw, relay a throw
to another character, and switch fielder if need be.
Control stick if looking from above is used while playing a baseball game
helps you move runners to bases.
Second Base
/\
Third Base < ( ) > First Base
\/
Home Base
As You can See if you are looking at the control stick this is how the bases
and lined out for you so if you have a runner on second and third and you
make a base hit you can go ahead and move third if you want and second by
moving the stick in that direction.
Challenge Mode
The control stick on the nunchuk is also used like you would be playing
Super Mario Galaxy. Same as this game just you can jump you can move around
the areas while at the diffrent ball fields.
Using the Wii Remote sideways is by far the most confusing way to play Mario
Super Sluggers. And the most confusing and hard way to play. Why Nintendo
came up with the controls this way I have no Idea. But since they did I will
try and make it less confusing for you the player as we muddle through the
controls.
When using the control sideways in challenge mode you will move with the
control pad and hit the 2 button to examine something while exploring the
diffrent areas.
Batting Controls
Using the control pad side to side will move the character at bat. To perform
a normal swing you will press 2. For a charge swing you will hold down the 2
button and then release for a swing. You can do a scatter hit while using the
control pad if you want. But I havent found it to work very well so its really
a waste of time. You will also for a star Swing press 1+2 together to perform
while the ball is being thrown at you. For a Bunt you will hold down the 1
button to perform. Using an error item after hitting the ball you can use the
control pad to determine where you want the item to go and than press 1.
Base Running Controls
Press 1 to advance to the next base. Press 2 to retreat back to the previous
base you were just on. For a dash tap 1 repeatedly while advancing to the next
base. And press 2 repeatedly while retreating back to the previous base. For
stealing a base you will want to use the control pad for First, Second, Third,
and Home like the control on the Nunchuk. (See diagram above in the previous
section for the base system which will be the same for the control pad here
using the Wii Remote sideways.) You will press 1 and select base for the
runner to move to the following base. For halting a runner Tap 2 for advance
and Tap 1 while retreating back to the base you were just on.
Pitching Controls
Control Pad is just like you would be as the batter moving from left to right.
A normal pitch is button 2. For a charged pitch hold down the 2 button than
release for the throw. When throwing a normal or charged pitch, once thrown
pushing the left or right side of the control pad can give you a curve ball.
For a changeup throw hold the up on the control pad. For a Star Pitch hold
down 1+2 once your Star Gauge is full. For a pick off throw like if someone is
stealing base hit the A button.
Fielding Controls
Once a batter has hit the ball you will gain control of a character you will
use the control pad to move that character toward the ball. For a dash you
will tap the 1 button repeatedly. For throwing the ball once caught you will
use the control pad and press 2 to throw to the next character. For switching
players press A. When needing to jump to catch a fly ball hit the 2 button to
catch the ball. To perform an attack you will hit 1+2 buttons together to
perform that attack. Each character has a special ability and to perform that
ability you will press the 2 button.
As I said before this is the hardest set of controls and the most confusing
if you are just attempting. After a while I was using these controls I got the
hang if it, but I prefer to use the Nunchuk. And really that was the point of
the Wii to use the controls to move around with. Not sitting stationary.

4. Getting Started
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you finally get started and you begin the game, my advice learn the
basics of playing Mario Super Sluggers. Go to practice and go though the
basics of playing baseball in the Mario World. I am not going to cover
practice because the game is very self explanatory in the basics of baseball
and what to do in the game. I am going to cover the Challenge of the game
where you create a roster that is able to beat Bowser Jr. and Bowser and get
all the characters you need to make the best team ever. Along the way will
cover all the diffrent fields on the Island. So lets jump in and cover
Characters and there Baseball stats so you know what they can do and what you
want in your teams roster.
This sections covers the Stadiums on the Island that Princess Peach made for
all her friends. These stadiums are built for each captain in mind you will
meet and join you to help beat Bowser and Bowser Jr. Below you will find a
description of each stadium and what you will find there.
Stadiums
A. Mario Stadium
This Stadium looks just like a regular baseball field we are all use to. The
stadium is found in the bottom left hand corner of the screen next to the
beach. This is where you will want to most likely start your game if you
follow this guide. That is up to you the gamer how you chose to start your
game, but if follow this guide you will come out just right when you are
ready to take on Bowser Jr. There is a shop toward right hand side if you
walk south toward the beach. The shop is ran by Blue Pianta and will open
once you save him after you get the key from Bowser Jr.
B. Peach Ice Garden
Peach Ice Garden is not as cold as it sounds. Just the playing field is one
big hockey rink that looks like a baseball field with Ice Sickles skating
across the outfield. Dont truly know what Peach was thinking about with ice
on here field. But thats another story. For the most part its a nice looking
garden. Here you will find a beautiful statue of peach with flowing water, a
little maze garden shapped like a mushroom from the classic Mario Bros.
games. And as with all the stadiums you will find a shop to sell you items.
This shop belongs to Toadsworth and will open once he joins your roster.
C. Yoshi Park
Yoshi Park is an Amusement park built for all the Yoshi's to have alot of
fun while visiting the island. Yoshi Park is found on the bottom right hand
of the screen. Yoshi park is made up of a bunch of fun rides and is also
home to another shop. The only thing is till you help the Yoshi find his
brush he will not open up shop for you. Will cover this in challenge mode on
what to do.
D. Wario City
Wario City is a hustle and bustle city just for Wario to enjoy. You find
Wario City smack between Yoshi Park and DK Jungle first covered in Fog in
your first visit looking for Wario. Goomba is running shop here, and the
stadium is built right on the street. So you can imagine how the outfield
is with switching lanes. So welcome to the big city players.
E. DK Jungle
DK Jungle is something right out of a Donkey Kong Country game at its best.
Granted its a small area but its a good feel if Nintendo ever decides to
make a new Donkey Kong game. Lots of lush jungle here and some vine
climbing for all. And King K. Rool is waiting for you to find him as well.
So get ready for some fun filled times in the Jungle. The stadium is built
for barrels to run the outfielders over and flowers to put them to sleep. So
its a fun time.
F. Toy Field
Toyfield is very misleading if you thing there was going to be a bunch of
toys laying around the field. This field has many light up boards in the
floor to either score some coin points or spell out homerun. This is more or
less a minigame field to score some coins in challenge mode or play with
some friends when there over to play.
G. Bowser Castle
Its Bowser's Castle what can you say. Its hell on a ball field. There are
many things to affect your outfielders in the worst way. And getting a
homerun is harder than it looks here as well with the high walls. So dont
be suprised how hard of a field this is when you play in challenge or even
exibition mode.
H. Bowser Jr. Playroom
Bowser Jr. Playroom looks like a kids playroom with toys on the fence and
bedding for the ground. And crazy looking flowers that put you to sleep for
couple of seconds when get near them. Its a fun stadium to play in
challenge mode or playing in exibition mode for fun. Homeruns are easy hits
here to get off and is great if you have a lot of heavy hitters in your
team.
I. Daisy Cruiser
Daisy Cruiser is a ship. Now who wouldnt want to play on a cruise ship. You
can only play minigames here in challenge mode. Now in exibition mode you
play on the deck of the ship which is really cool. The only thing that would
have made this fun would be to have had the ship sailing and the little bit
of challenge of the wind if the ship was moving. Oh well cant have it all.
J. Luigi's Mansion
Luigi's Mansion can only be played at night and its a minigame. Why they
didnt let you play on a ballfield I have no idea. Anyway you can play here
in exibition mode at night to. So its okay just could have better. Thats my
take on the stadiums here in Mario Super Sluggers.
This section will cover all the Characters you will find through the Challenge
mode and what there stats, if they are a captain, and special abilites. And
will cover which Characters have chemistry between them to make up good
matches out on the field. A Sample of what to look for on this guide is just
below so you know what to look for on each character so you can determine what
is best for you.
Character Name: Luigi
Where to find: Starts at the beginning of the Game with Mario.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 60%
Swings: 60%
Fielding: 75%
Running: 75%
Special Abilities
Pitch: Tornado Ball Requires at least 1 Gauge full of Star Power
Swing: Tornado Swing Requires at least 1 Gauge full of Star Power
Field: Super Jump this happens if another character near by has good
Chemistry which will be shown with a Musical Note in bold Purple or a
regular note in black which can be less effective.
As you see above this is what you will see as you look through the characters
section of this guide. So as you can see by the sample above what you will be
looking for and how to gauge the characters you have and what you will be
looking for in a team. So good luck creating the best team roster for your
game against Bowser and Bowser Jr.
1. Mario
Where to Find: Since it is a Mario game he is your First Character.
Captain: Yes
Range of Ability
Pitches: 60%
Swings: 75%
Fielding: 60%
Running: 75%
Special Abilities
Pitch: Fire Ball Requires at least 1 Gauge full of Star Power
Swing: Fire Swing Requires at least 1 Gauge full of Star Power
Running: Enlarge
Mario is a really Balanced Character to have in your team roster and being
a beginning character is really good to have on your team right of the bat
of the game. Now later you might find a better Captain than Mario but in
the challenge he is on of your main characters you will use through out the
game.
2. Luigi
Luigi is also a good starting character in your team roster because he is
also very balanced out. He is not a Captain in Challenge mode though so for
all you Luigi fans that may be out there sorry not this time. Maybe in the
next Haunted Mansion. (Hope not but who knows what Nintendo may do.)
3. Princess Peach
Where to find: As in all Mario games you must save Princess Peach from
Bowser Jr. at Princess Peach's Ice Park. You have to play a game against
Bowser Jr. and win to obtain Princess Peach to your roster.
Captain: Yes
Range of Ability
Pitches: 90%
Swings: 40%
Fielding: 75%
Running: 50%
Special Abilities
Pitch: Heart Ball at least one Gauge full of Star Power
Swing: Heart Swing at least one Gauge full of Star Power
Fielding: Quick Throw
Princess Peach is probably one of the best outfielders you could have in
your arsenal because of her quick throws and she has one of the best
pitches you can have. Her Heart Ball is really hard to nail because its
very difficult to swing at. She is a captain because of her ability in
challenge mode to find special items and characters as well. If you follow
the guide below you can get Princess Peach fairly fast.
4. Princess Daisy
Where to find: The way to get Daisy is that you will have to move the
statue of her because Bowser Jr. changed her into one, you will have to
move her statue to raise to water vent up so you can get by Peach Fountain
and after defeating Bowser Jr. and having Princess Peach go back to where
you placed the Statue of Daisy. You will than talk to Daisy and she jumps
off the block the water refills up at the fountain and you cant go by again
now it is full. So Daisy jumps back up and ask you to find another statue
to put in place of her. (Seriously how can she weigh that much after not
being a statue to keep that water vent up. Mario is bigger than her. Oh
well at least you cant really say that to Daisy because she would probably
deck Mario for that.) Any way change captains from Mario to Daisy go down
to where the Toad Statue was. Wait its gone. Talk to the Blue Toad and he
tells you he hid that Statue of Toad in a Hedge. Go over to where the
statue of Daisy use to be and go to the top right hedge with Princess Peach
press A and there you go you found the Statue of Toad. Go back to Princess
Daisy and go to the item screen and place the Statue of Toad in the place
of Daisy and thats how you get Daisy.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 60%
Swings: 55%
Fielding: 75%
Running: 50%
Special Abilities
Pitch: Flower Ball at least one Gauge full of Star Power
Swing: Flower Sing at least one Gauge full of Star Power
Fielding: Super Dive
Princess Daisy is alright at the beginning when you get her in your team
roster. But once along in to the game you will find another character that
works well for you. Princess Daisy really works will in the outfield and
if you have to use her on the mound. Her Flower Ball is like Princess
Peach's Heart Ball its hard to see that ball coming to connect with a swing
I found even with a Star Swing ability is a little better but can be a
waste. Just depends on how good you are on your swings.
5. Baby Mario
Where to find: You find Baby Mario after you defeat Bowser Jr. in a game
that you are down 0-1 and have to make a come back and score 2 points.
Once you win the game Baby Mario joins your roster. This all takes place at
Mario Ballpark.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 50%
Swings: 25%
Fielding: 40%
Running: 80%
Special Abilities
Running: Enlarge
Baby Mario is all about how fast he runs on the field and base to base. THe
only reason I would want to use Baby Mario is if you really just have a
fondness for the little guy. And if you want and all baby roster you can do
that to. But for the beginning of the game Baby Mario isnt to bad to have
just not what your looking for in the end for your best roster.
6.Baby Luigi
Where to find: You will find the crying Baby Luigi on the other side of a
drawn up bridge crying for help. You have to lower the bridge after you
defeat a Magikoopa in a game. The controls for the drawbridge thus follows
right, left, left, right, left. Once the bridge is down you will talk to
Baby Luigi and he will join your roster.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 50%
Swings: 10%
Fielding: 50%
Running: 75%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Super Jump
Baby Luigi is not built for swinging a bat at all. Baby Luigi is more suited
for an outfield position. How Baby Luigi can have a Super Jump like he does
I have no Idea. For the beginning of the game like his brother Baby Mario he
is not to bad to have. FOr later though not really. Just depends on what is
best for you and your roster.
7.Baby Peach
Where to find: You can find Baby Peach in Peach's Ice Garden where the
Daisy's Statue once was sitting. Baby Peach will be hiding in one of the
bushes there in that area. NOTE you must be Princess Peach the captain to
find Baby Peach.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 80%
Swings: 15%
Fielding: 50%
Running: 60%
Special Abilities
Fielding Quick Throw
Baby Peach is a great outfielder for throwing and pitching. As for using
Baby Peach in your roster in the beginning isnt so bad like the rest of
the baby characters you will have in your roster its a choice if you want
to use her at all. So if you like using the baby characters thats up to
your prefrence.
8. Baby Daisy
Where to find: You find Baby Daisy crying because she lost her rattle
near the foutain in Peach Ice Garden. You need to have Wario who can
retrieve the rattle out of the water, and Yoshi so you can reach Baby
Daisy through the man hole cover. Once you get the rattle back for Baby
Daisy she joins the team.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 55%
Swings: 40 %
Fielding: 50%
Running: 50%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Super Dive
Baby Daisy is just so cute, why wouldnt you put her on your team. She is
well balanced in the middle for the most part as you can see. So using
her isnt to bad, just a personal decision that I use on my team.
9. Yoshi and Company
A. Yoshi
Where to find: You find Yoshi being kept under a man hole cover by a
Magikoopa. Once you defeat the Magikoopa and Yoshi pops out and thank
you for your help and joins the team.
Captain: Yes
Range of Ability
Pitches: 40%
Swings: 40%
Fielding: 55%
Running: 90%
Special Abilities
Pitches: Rainbow Ball requires at least 1 Star Gauge
Swings: Egg Swing requires at least 1 Star Gauge
Fielding: Tounge Catch
The reason I am going ahead a writing about Yoshi is because he is not
generic like the other Yoshi's. Yoshi makes up a good runner after
being at bat. So for the most part Yoshi is good there and not to bad
in the outfield with hit tounge catch when you can use it.
B. Red Yoshi
Where to find: You find Red Yoshi at his shop asking if you will find
the brush he borrowed the Parakoopa in Wario City. So once you find the
brush Red Yoshi will join the party and opens his shop to you.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 25%
Swings: 40%
Fielding: 40%
Running: 80%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Tounge Catch
C. Blue Yoshi
Where to find: Blue Yoshi is guarding the man hole cover to reach the
other side where the stadium is at. Once you have Yoshi in your team
Blue Yoshi will join up with the team.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 40%
Swings: 15%
Fielding: 55%
Running: 75%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Tounge Catch
D. Yellow Yoshi
Where to find: Across from the shop there is a tree in which Yoshi can
do a ground pound, Yellow Yoshi will jump out of. Yellow Yoshi will give
you a scouting mission before he will join the team.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 25%
Swings: 40%
Fielding: 55%
Running: 70%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Tounge Catch
E. Light Blue Yoshi
Where to find: You find Light Blue Yoshi at the answer machine when you
are trying to get the track moved so you can calm down Wiggler. Once
you do so Light Blue Yoshi will join the team.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 25%
Swings: 25%
Fielding: 55%
Running: 75%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Tounge Catch
F. Pink Yoshi
Where to find: If anyone knows where you get Pink Yoshi please let me
know because I do not remember this. Thanks.
Captain: No
Range of Ability
Pitches: 10%
Swings: 25%
Fielding: 55%
Running: 90%
Special Abilities
Fielding: Tounge Catch
The Yoshi generic crew is more or less just a running group who is stuck
in the outfield. There tounge catch is just like Yoshi and they could
have done something else for this. But the only Yoshi I can see is a
good pick is Pink Yoshi for her running is just as good as Yoshi himself.
10. Toadette
Where to find: You find Toadette in Peach's Ice Garden looking for help

ball games that she plays. I am not so big on her but thats me.

The Magikoopas are all outfielding or pitching and slow as heck when
they hit the ball. Other than for that there Magical Catch sucks when
you are on the other end of it when they catch those ball just barely
going by they manage to catch them. So as long as they are on your team
all is good.
The End finally. All 71 characters listed above and where you find them was
a challenge but a fun one. Thanks for checking the section out for the help
you need. Bowser and his crew after beating them the second time and join
will have a star by them when they join and who ever you use against him and
win will as well have a star. I have read in reviews and on the blogs of
gamefaqs how much characters are better with having a star status. But I
really cant tell any diffrence. But that is for another day and time. Thanks
as always and if any questions send an email.

Exibition mode is where you will be able to chose from 12 diffrent captains
and play at any stadium of your choice. Either at night or play during the
day. Against your friends or against a CPU. So lets dive in a get started
with the level you can play at. The captains and there teams names.
Any Stadium will have the four choices of level you want to play against
when it is the CPU you are playing those levels are:
Rookie Class-for beginners who are just starting out.
Veteran Class-those looking for more out of a game but still not wanting to
lose.
Pro Class-Where did they come from and how are they kicking my butt so bad.
I thought I was better than this. If you are saying these words welcome you
are now experiencing baseball for what it was meant for in a Mario World.
All Star Class-HA steroids are for losers, Star Power is where its at. If
you are getting your butt handed to you in this class, you are not alone I
have only won here once and yeah it was all luck there. So your going to
need all the luck you can muster here. (Ask Red Mage to wip up some stats in
luck if you can get him to, needs to be about 150% to win here. Just
something for the online comic strip for those who read it. Im a devout
follower.) ANyway I am here to listen to your horror stories when you lose.

Once you pick a captain you choose anyone you have found in challenge mode
to play and they will retain there stars if they have on from playing in
challenge mode and have beaten Bowser. Have fun!!
Challenge Mode is where the gameplay of this game comes into. Princess Peach
made the Island for all her friends to enjoy the game of Baseball. And as
always Bowser and Bowser Jr. arent going to stand by and let this take place.
So Bowser Jr. brings his own castle to add to the island Bowser Jr.'s
playroom. So this guide is here to help you find your way through all the
stadiums and take on Bowser and his son and reclaim the Island for
Princess Peach. So lets get started
Mario and Luigi plan to enjoy some Baseball but Bowser Jr. has shown up to
ruin all your fun. Your guide is Lakuta and he is here to help you through
your journey getting the best team together and beat Bowser Jr. and send him
back where he came from. So leaving the entrance you will start out and go
Mario Stadium and began the journey.
Mario Stadium
You will begin by looking around for new characters to join your teams
roster. You see Red Noki on top of the shell in the middle of the area
dancing about. When you talk to her she says the only way she will join
your team if you have other Noki's joined with you. So begin looking around
on the beach for other Noki's.
Blue Noki will be at the bottom near of the beach next to a beach umbrella
kinda stuck in the sand. Go up to her with Mario and talk to her. She says
she will join you only if you can beat her at a scouting mission. NOTE!!!
I am not going to cover the scouting missions because it is up to you how
your going to play inside the game. So once you beat Blue Noki in the
scouting mission she will join your roster.
After Blue Noki has joined you start looking for green Noki on the beach as
well. You will notice some writing in the sand you should check this out on
the way to looking for Green Noki. The scribbling in the sand is a clue you
will need later. It is right, left, left, right, left. You will need to
remember this for later. Also heading toward the other beach umbrella you
see a sleeping Pianta. Right now there is no way of waking him up from his
sandy sleep so will come back later when we can wake him up. Once you reach
the beach umbrella you find Green Noki here hiding from Bowser Jr. and his
minions. Talk to Green Noki and she tells you the there is a baby crying on
the other side of where the bridge is raised. Green Noki see's that you have
Blue Noki in your group and says she will join you if you can win at the
scouting mission set for you. Beat Green Noki and she joins your roster.
Time to look for the next Noki.
If you remember right Red Noki as jumping on top of the shell in the middle
of the area paths. Walk up to Red Noki and talk to her she see's that Green
Noki and Blue NOki has joined you she decides to help you take on Bowser Jr.
Red Noki also gives you 10 coins when the shell opens up so you can walk to
the lever to lower the bridge to save Baby Luigi. Once you start walking
to the lever Magikoopa apears to stop you from lowering the bridge. You
have to beat Magikoopa in the challenge to use the lever and lower the
bridge. Once you have beaten Magikoopa you now use the lever. Do you
remember what to do to lower the bridge? If not no problem here again is the
way to move the lever in the right way. It is right, left, left, right, left
and there you go.
Now head over to Baby Luigi and talk to him. Baby Luigi and baby goo tells
you Baby Mario is in the stadium and is in trouble and in need of some
saving by Mario. You can do one or two things here. Go ahead and take on
Bowser Jr. over at the stadium or go in the pipe. I will cover going to the
pipe first than taking on the Bowser Jr. challenge.
Go through the pipe takes you to a small island on the other side of the
stadium. Once poping out the pipe Dry Bones stops you and challenges you to
a challenge game. Once you beat Dry Bones you have a chest there you can
check out. The only thing is you need Wario a captain to check out the chest
and get whats inside. Will cover Wario and come back once we have him and
get whats in the chest. So return through the warp pipe and go to the
stadium.
Once you get to the stadium Bowser Jr. is there waiting for you to take you
on in a challenge. Your down 1-0 in the last inning you have to come back
and score 2 to win. Once you beat Bowser Jr. you have saved Baby Mario and
Bowser Jr. while fleeing drops a key. Baby Mario joins you once saved and
take the key to the locked door at the shop. Go to the shop and talk to the
door someone is on the other side needing the door unlocked and saved.
Select the key put it in the slot and turn. The doors open and Blue Pianta
comes out thanking you for saving him. In return for saving Blue Pianta
he joins your roster and opens his shop for you to buy things. Thus ends
Mario Stadium for now. Leave the stadium and you will head to the entrance.
Once getting to the entrance save your progress for now and get ready to
head to the next stadium in our journey.
Were on to save Princess Peach like Mario knows best because thats what
Mario does just this time in baseball. Once you arrive at Peach's not so
Ice Garden. (Just the baseball field is made of ice) Head right along the
path till you come to a Toad looking at a statue of Daisy. The Toad tells
you Bowser Jr. and his goons are here and turned Daisy into a statue and the
Toad says he will stand guard here and to look for Toadette.
Head back the way you came from. You can go up but there is no point
because the water has flooded the paths around the fountain. So go left till
you run into Toadette. Toadette is glad to see you and in need of your help
because one of Bowser Jr. goons has mest up the maze path made to look like
a mushroom. So follow the diagram up above to put the mushroom the right way
that it needs to be. Once you have the mushroom right paths appear for you
to follow. Taking the left path will take you to another Toad who is trying
to hide next to a Toad statue. There is nothing to do there so head back and
walk north toward a wide open area with bushes and a pot plant with no
flowers and a path to the right to head toward the fountain. And another
path leading north still some more. We no the fountain is flooded so will
head north. Once trying to go that way another Dry Bones stops you in your
path. This Dry Bones challenges you to a baseball match and the only way to
continue on your path is to win. Once you win the Dry Bones runs off and
your path is clear to continue. Walk along till you come across a shop with
Toadsworth standing out front. Toadsworth tells you that you can lower the
water by putting something heavy here so you can get by the fountain area
to the stadiums entrance. Well we know of two heavy objects we have come
across so far, a Toad statue, and Princess Daisy Statue.
Head back the way you have came and ignore going to the Toad Statue because
this will not work because the Toad there is guarding it and wont let you
use this statue. Go on toward the Daisy Statue and speak to the Toad next
to it and talk with him. The Toad understands the situation and to be
careful not to drop Princess Daisy. (You cannot break the Princess Daisy
statue) After recieving the statue go back to Toadsworth and select from
the items list the Princess Daisy Statue and put in place on the pedestal.
Once doing so the water drains from the fountain returning to normal so you
can get by to the entrance of the stadium.
Leaving Toadsworth heading right from the pot plant. (Note I know that
saying pot plant and in todays minds think of pot, but I am refering only
to what is there and it is a pot plant with no flowers. So this is only
stating fact. So please dont be upset.) Head for the fountain go north to
the stadium. And look who we find Princess Peach and Bowser Jr. trying to
take over this stadium. So you need to defeat Bowser Jr. in another
challenge like you did at Mario Stadium this time just diffrent. Once you
beat Bowser Jr. Princess Peach thanks you for saving her and her area of the
island. Princess Peach joins Mario as another captain for you team and you
can now select her to change places with Mario and use her to scout out new
team members. And guess what Princess Daisy is no longer a statue. So leave
where your at and go back the way you came and speak to Princess Daisy.
Princess Daisy is glad not to be a Statue anymore. She jumps down and the
water raises again at the fountain. So Princess Daisy says she will stay
here till you can find a replacment for her. If you remember the Toad statue
from earlier you are on the right track. Head south toward the little maze
to find the statue and speak to the Toad guarding it.
Once getting there you realize the statue is gone and the Toad is stilling
standing there and now in the statues place is a man hole cover. Talk to the
Toad and he tells you he hid the statue in one of the bushes in the area
where the Princess Daisy Statue once sat. So leave from there walk to the
area and begin searching each bush for the statue. You will find the statue
on the right top hand side. Go back to Princess Daisy chose the Toad statue
from your items list and place it there after Daisy jumps down. Princess
Daisy has now joined your teams roster. Also Toadsworth has now opened his
shop and joined your team as well.
Switch captains from Mario to Princess Peach. You will want to go visit the
empty flower pot in the middle of the area before the maze. Take Princess
Peach and have her take a look. She adds her love to make something grow.
Its Petey Pirahna plant thats taking residence in the flower pot. Petey
Pirahna says he will join you only if you can win at his scouting mission.
So play the scouting mission and you now have Petey Pirahna in your party.
Once done with Petey Pirahna walk back to the area the Toad statue once sat
at. The man hole cover you cant access at this time with out Captain Yoshi
joining you. So will leave this be till later once we have Yoshi joined up
in our team. Head over to the area the Daisy statue was once at and check
out the bush on the top left side. Baby Peach jumps out crying. She is glad
that Bowser Jr. isnt around now and will be glad to join up. You now have
Baby Peach in your team roster. Its now time to leave Peach's Ice Garden
for now. Will come back later with some new captains. Once you leave be
sure to save your work so far. Next stadium we are going to visit is
Yoshi Park. You can either at this point continue to use Princess Peach as
the captain or go back to Mario. My suggestion is to go back to Mario till
we get through some of Yoshi Park.
Before we head to Yoshi Park we should pick up two more team members before
going on with this journey.
Switch to Captain Princess Peach and walk down to the beach. Remember the
outline that looked like a Pianta. Well its not use Princess Peach's ability
to find people and Monty Mole pops up complaining about his nap being
interupted. You tell him about Bowser Jr. and whats taking place. So Monty
Mole gives you a scouting mission. You need a fast pitches to beat Monty
Mole. Either Princess Peach or Baby Peach will work. Get three fast throws
in a row and you win. Monty Mole joins the team roster.
Walk from there to the dock. Dont go to the warp pipe. Go to the top edge of
the dock with Princess Peach and do the same thing before like you did with
Monty Mole. Blooper jumps out of the water. You have another scouting
mission for before Blooper will join up. Real easy get two outs in with one
hit from the batter. Blooper hits toward second base you get the runner out
and throw to first and get Blooper out. Winning this scouting mission
Blooper joins the team roster. Time to leave Mario Stadium and head for
Yoshi Park.
Yoshi Park is an amusment park built to have loads of un while on the island
playing baseball. But you can tell Bowser Jr. has been here as well lookin
to take over this stadium and park as well. You first find the Shy Guy's
having a problem with the Ferris Wheel. This is your first minigame in
challenge mode. Pirahna's have taken over the Ferris Wheel and the Shy Guy's
need your help by throwing baseballs at the Pirahna plants. Beware that if
you give the Pirahna plants enough time to throw a ball at you its game over
and you will have to replay the minigame again. There are three stages to
this. At first it starts at slow. Once you get rid of some of the plant of
the Ferris Wheel the speed picks up for the second round. Keep doing the
same thing you have been doing. And make sure to keep reloading your balls
when you get a chance here. After you get through the second round and more
of the plant is gone it gets much faster. Keep doing the same thing and make
sure to keep reloading and you will be done fairly quick. The plant is gone
for good, the Shy Guy's thank you for your help getting the Ferris Wheel
going again. Shy Guy will join your team to beat Bowser Jr. now. Its time
to begin your search for Yoshi.
You will see a blue Yoshi standing on another man hole cover. Walk up to the
Blue Yoshi and speak to him. He tells you Yoshi has went off to take on
Bowser Jr. for trying to take the park and stadium for himself. Go look for
the Warp Pipe to take you to another area of the park to look for Yoshi. The
Warp Pipe is up in the right hand corner of the screen. Taking the Warp Pipe
to the other side finds you next to the shop in Yoshi Park. The only problem
is its not open for business. The Yoshi there is looking for his brush that
was taken from him. So for now will continue the look for Yoshi.
Walk south from there till you come across Magikoopa standing on a man hole
cover. Magikoopa isnt about to let you continue on. So its time for another
challenge from Magikoopa. This is a fairly easy challenge to win at. So beat
Magikoopa and he runs off away from you leaving the man hole cover open to
you. Than Yoshi pops out glad that you finally got rid of Magikoopa because
he couldnt get out to do anything. Yoshi decides to help Mario and Princess
Peach by beating Bowser Jr. You now have Yoshi a captain in your roster who
can go through man hole covers to reach another area. So switch captains
from Mario to Yoshi to continue on.
Head to the man hole cover that you found Yoshi coming from and take that to
the other side here you find Blue Yoshi in need of help. Wiggler is on a mad
rampage through the park on the roller coaster. The only way to get Wiggler
to calm down is to move the track section and get Wiggler back to his flower
ASAP. So your going to go up to the Calculator device and answer questions by
putting in a number for the right answer. If you get it wrong you can start
over again. But I will give you the following questions and the right
answers that you go with. These questions are what I have come across
through playing through up to Yoshi park three times. I had to go back and
well you when you start over it sucks. So anyway here are the questions and
answers.
How Many Stars fill the Star Gauge? 5
If you have a Koopa, Paratrooa, Paragoomba, and Boo how many wings do you
have? 4
How many tentacles does Blooper have? 10
How many Gondolas are on the Ferris Wheel? 6
Whats the point diffrence in a Mercy baseball game? 10
Lakitu has..... 3. Glasses
If there are 3 batters on base and the batter hits a homerun how many runs
are scored? 4
How many younger brothers does Mario have? 1
Whats the total number of baseball players on both teams? 18
What is on Wigglers head? 2. A Flower
As I said before this is the questions that I have come across through my
play throughs up to this point. If anyone happens to have another set of
questions please email me so I can update this and put them in. Thank you.
Anyway after completing this the track will move and Wiggler comes down and
stops on his flower calming down. Blue Yoshi also wants to join up with you
so you have a new team member on the roster. Now go up to Wiggler and speak
with him. He gets mad at first thinking you are helping Bowser Jr. but with
little explanation on your part Wiggler offers up his help only if you can
beat him at a scouting match. So as in all scouting matches you must win
before Wiggler will join. Win the match and Wiggler is now part of your team
roster. Go ahead and stay as Captain Yoshi because you are going to end up
still going through a couple of man hole covers. Instead of having to go
back the way you came. Since the track has moved you can now go back to the
main area of the park.
But before we do that lets go back and get Yellow Yoshi out of the tree near
the shop before we go on with this journey. Go back through the man hole
cover near Wiggler was just at walk up to the tree right across by the shop
and Yoshi will do a ground pound like he would if he was going through a man
hole cover. Yellow Yoshi will come bounding out of the tree. You will have
to do a scouting mission and win before Yellow Yoshi joins up. Win and
Yellow Yoshi is now in your roster. Once done here head back to the man hole
cover go through and go through were the track was blocking to the main area
of Yoshi Park. Remember the Yoshi blocking the man hole cover that sent you
to find Yoshi. Go up to him and speak with him.
The Yoshi will join your team roster and let you by to use the man hole
cover to reach the next area. Go through to go to Yoshi Park's stadium. You
find Birdo stuck on the ledge because Bowser Jr. has lowered the rainbow
crossing. You find Bowser Jr. over next to a warp pipe with a Pirahna
sticking out of it. Time to take on Bowser Jr. and save Birdo. (Really why
would you want to save Birdo. You dont even really know if its a boy or a
girl. And for those questioning this is because if you have been around the
Mario scene long enough you know this already about Birdo.) Anyway time for
another Bowser Jr. challenge. Beat down Bowser Jr. so he runs off saying he
didn't want this park anyway. The crossing will come up for Birdo and you
have saved the day. Birdo is grateful and shows it by joining the team
roster. You can also change back to Captain Mario now for a quick visit
through the warp pipe while were here. Going through the warp pipe brings
you to a Yellow Shy Guy guarding a chest. Its the brush you are looking for
and Yellow Shy Guy isnt going to let you have it. Time to take the Yellow
Shy Guy on a scouting mission and win. Once you win Yellow Shy Guy joins the
team roster. The only problem like before you need Captain Wario before you
can open the chest. So back through the warp pipe. Change back to Captain
Yoshi and return back to the main area of the park. You can either change
back to Mario or stay Yoshi. I changed back to Mario, but it is whatever you
would like to do at this time. Once back at the entrance, save your progress
at this time. Time to visit Wario City.
Your first time to Wario city will be covered in fog and Wario stuck on top
of a building and can't get down because there is no power to the city and
the elevator also is down with out power. So you Mario are going to have to
help get Wario down from the building. (Seriously who would have thought
Mario would have to help Wario. Now I have seen everything.) Anyway make
your way from the entrance over to the Wario City's shop where you find
Goomba outside looking distressed over something. Goomba is needing help
getting his shops lights working again.
Goomba's Neon Light Minigame
I am calling this a minigame because well if you played Mario Party 8 before
this you know of what I am speaking about. Take the paint brush and follow
the light with no breaks fill the line in and once finished the light works.
NOTE: If you have a break and let go of the brush and fail you can redo this
again.
You have three lights you have to fill in with the paint brush and you get
the lights working again. With the lights working part of the fog disapates
so you can visit another part of the city south of the shop. Goomba decides
to join the team because he like baseball so much. Now Goomba's City Shop is
now open for your business.
Head south from there, the first two palm trees have coins when you use
Yoshi doing a ground pound. The last palm tree has Paragoomba hiding from
Bowser Jr. Paragoomba is upset at first for finding him, but changes his
tune with a scouting mission.
Scouting Mission with Paragoomba
This mission is using a Ball Dash
Any character will do here.
After you beat Paragoomba he joins your team. For now just leave the
Koopatrooper alone at the blank billboard because you need the brush from
Yoshi Park and the Yoshi there that is looking for the brush. So walk on to
the lighthouse after talking to Red Paratrooper telling you that if you get
the lighthouse working you will get rid of more of the fog in the city. So
make your way to the entrance of the lighthouse. Yellow Magikoopa decides to
stop you before you can turn that lighthouse back on.
Battle Mission Yellow Magikoopa
This mission requires you to hit the sweetspot with the bat.
Any character with good swing will do in this mission. NOTE This battle
mission is very hard. And very picky about where you are hitting the sweet
spot. So this make take a couple of tries. I know it took myself and Luke
three times worth to get it right. And alot of luck involved, so we feel
your frustration here.
After you beat Yellow Magikoopa Red Paratrooper turns the Lighthouse on for
you. More of the city is now able to be walked through now. Red Paratrooper
now joins your team after this. Head up from the lighthouse toward the
building that has Wario stuck on. As you can see you dont have a Captain who
can climb vines so will have to leave Wario City for now and go to DK's
Jungle for our next captain.
Leave there to the entrance. SAVE. I cant say this enough that you need to
save your work. I dont want to see anyone lose hard work that they have put
into a game. From the entrance go to DK Jungle.
Once you get to DK Jungle you find out very quickly that Bowser Jr. has
showed up and is trying to take this park as well. You want to begin by
going up to DK who is very distressed. Examine the crate first, DK takes a
look and realize there is something inside the crate. DK breaks the crate
to find a barrel cannon. NOTE for those looking around before following DK
across the creek to the other side. THE SHOP IS CLOSED. So you might as well
move on and keep up with DK. Dark Bones is waiting on you because Dixie is
trying to keep Dark Bones from going on. Time for another Battle Mission.
Battle Mission Dark Bones
Steal a homerun with a Buddy Jump.
Anyone with good outfielding will work here for this mission. You will be
paired up with someone you are compatiable with out on the field. So chose
anyone.
Once you defeat Dark Bones DK leaves about the Stone Tablet that Dixie says
has been broken by Bowser Jr. and is hid throughout the area. Dixie says
there is a piece of tablet behind the exit sigh before you leave the area
she thinks. Head back to the beginning across the creek and take a look
around the exit sign. You found the 1st piece out of three of the tablet.
Dixie decides to join up with you to help find the tablet and beat Bowser
Jr. Head back to Dixie, she decides to join you now that you found the first
piece of tablet. Two more pieces to go. DK comes back down the vine to find
that Dixie has joined you. DK decides to give you a scouting mission before
he joins up with you.
Scouting Mission with DK
Get and OUt.
This is a real easy mission. Use princess Peach because she has the best
swing that there is.
Once you get DK out he decides to join the team. New captain, DK can break
barrels and crates, and also climb vines. Since we are already here at DK
Jungle will go ahead and finish this park first before we make our way back
to Wario City and save Wario off the top of the building. NOTE any flower
you come across with Mario as captain will have just coins. Just thought you
should be aware.
Switch to DK and climb up the vine to find Diddy Kong going on about the
tablet being broken and missing. So Diddy Kong sends you on your way to find
the other two missing pieces. So go south of there and climb on down the
vine to find Fire Bro harassing Funky Kong about a tablet piece. Funky Kong
runs off through the tunnel with Fire Bro taking chase. Head on down and
follow them through the tunnel to the other side. Fire Bro isnt happy about
you sticking your nose into whats taking place and challenges you to a
battle mission.
Battle Mission with Fire Bro
Out with a Charge Pitch
You should go ahead and stick with Princess Peach as your pitcher for this
mission.
Once beating Fire Bro and send him packing back to Bowser Jr. DK has a talk
with Funky Kong about what is taking place. Funky Kong decides to join up
and help the team out. Funky Kong's Funky Shop is now open for business in
DK Jungle. Walk up to the statue and you have now found the second piece of
tablet. Two tablet pieces found, one left to go. Go back the way you came
with DK as captain still, going from Diddy Kong go down the vine you started
with DK and south near the creek from the barrel cannon is another vine to
go down on. Kritter is blocking the path at the pond.
Mission with Ktitter
Clammer to get the ball.
You should use Dixie Kong for this mission because she has the best stats
compared to the other Kong's in your group so far. NOTE Make sure to hold
A when you are next to the wall so Dixie can climb to catch the ball.
NOTE after defeating Kritter he does not join up with the team. Kritter
vanishes for now allowing you to cross the pond. Once you cross the pond
have DK break the barrel to find a Blue Kritter thats going to stop you.
Mission with Blue Kritter
Hit a sacrifice fly to score a run.
You can use anyone with a good swing to complete this mission.
After defeating Blue Kritter, (which does not join also just runs off) a
statue rises out of the water in the pond. Looks like a Kritter head. Oh
well head back across the pond over to the closed up tunnel with DK and have
him break the boards so you can go through the tunnel. Make your way to the
other side and head down the vine. Switch to Yoshi and do a ground pound at
the tree to reveal Baby DK with a scouting mission to join the team.
Scouting Mission with Baby DK
Get an out with a Buddy Move
Any good outfielder will do for this mission.
After winning the mission Baby DK joins the team. Switch from Yoshi back to
DK and head up the vine, through the tunnel and up the next vine. Switch
from DK to Mario and check out the flower that just bloomed in the middle of
the area. You have now found the last tablet. Now that you have all three
tablet pieces, switch back to DK and make your way up to Diddy Kong to put
the tablet pieces back where they belong so the stone bridge will raise so
that you can cross. Once you have the tablet pieces in place and the stone
bridge has risen up, you once again find yourself confronting Bowser Jr.
trying to take the stadium and kidnap Tiny Kong. Time for Mario to play hero
again. Diddy Kong joins the team to save Tiny Kong. You can either do one of
two things here. Take on Bowser Jr. or go ahead and get another character
that I found to really help out in the Battle Mission against Bowser Jr.
So I am going to cover getting this character than the Battle Mission.
Go ahead and go down the vine with DK and than switch to Mario and go under
the bridge since it is now raised. You now find yourself with Red Kritter
stopping you from using the warp pipe to continue.
Mission Red Kritter
Double Play
Use can use Princess Peach or Baby Peach for this mission. I went with
Princess Peach because her stat was just a bit better.
Once you win take Mario through the warp pipe in front of Brown Kritter in
front of a chest. Another mission is about to take place.
Mission Brown Kritter
Don't let them score.
Use Princess Peach for this mission because she has the best swing.
Once you win Brown Kritter runs off, another statue rises out of the water
and the waterfall ends revealing King K. Rool. (Now you see why I went
ahead and finished getting the characters for DK Jungle before taking on

Bowser Jr.) Go back through the warp pipe and switch to DK to go down the
vine to go to the pond where King K. Rool is waiting to challenge you to a
scouting mission.
Scouting Mission with King K. Rool
Hit a Homerun
Your best bet is to either use DK or Petey Pirahna since they have the
highest stats in swing and more likely to get a homerun off.
Once you win the scouting mission you are now joined by,
King K. Rool
Kritter
Blue Kritter
Red Kritter
Brown Kritter
Now that you done getting these characters its time to put Bowser Jr. in his
place for trying to take the stadium and park of DK Jungle. So make your
way back to the bridge and cross to play Bowser Jr.
Battle Mission with Bowser Jr.
Win the Game.
Win the game, HA! Easier said the done. This is no easy match like before
with Bowser Jr. at the other parks. Bowser Jr. gives you 1 inning to win in,
a 1 run lead on his side, and starts with being the batting team. So this
can take you a couple of times to win in. Good luck. If you really need help
with the team to win with, Email me and I will give you the list of
characters that will get you that win. And email me with the team that works
best and you won with. Im always open to putting a section in the guide with
fellow gamers with there best team.
Anyway after beating Bowser Jr. Tiny Kong will join the team and the
stadium is now open for play and a minigame is now open as well. You now
have found everyone in this park. And the shop in now 50% off all items at
Funky Kong's Funky Shop. Now its time to leave and go back to the entrance
to save our progress and ahead back to Wario City to save Wario.
Now that DK has joined up with you will go back over to the building with
the vines and climb up and save Wario. Wario isnt thrilled to be saved but
grateful all the same for you doing it. Wario joins you as the last captain
in your team. Head back down the vine as DK and begin breaking the brown
crates among the blue metal crates. Switch to Wario so that he can move the
metal crates with his magnet. Break the brown crate in the middle as DK. You
found Boo hiding.
Scouting Mission with Boo
Throw to home with a Lazer Beam.
You can use Blue Pianta for this mission.
Once you win the scouting mission Boo joins up with the team. Switch back to
Wario and finish moving the blue metal crates to form a walking path so that
here in a bit you can change to Yoshi to go through the man hole cover.
First though lets go over to the electric generator where the Boomerang Bro
is keeping Red Koopa from trying to fix the electic panel. So sticking your
nose into the situation ends up causing a battle mission.
Battle Mission with Boomerang Bro
Get and out with a Buddy Move.
Anyone you want to use for this battle mission will work just fine to win
the match.
Once you beat Boomerang Bro Red Koopa ask if Wario can use his magnet to fix
the electic panel and get the rest of the city's power running again. So
once the power is running again after Wario fixes it, the rest of this fog
vanishes away and reveals the stadium right in the middle of the road way,
and with Bowser Jr. waiting for you to take him on. Red Koopa has now joined
the team. Before we go ahead and play Bowser Jr. remember that man hole
cover before you can now reach with the path you made. Time to switch to
Yoshi and go on through. You bounce on up the other side on top of a
building. Switch to Wario and you find Waluigi (I refer to him and Waluigitz
because Nintendo cant create a good Luigi counter part like they did with
Mario to Wario, that wasnt to bad. I just think that Nintendo could really
do a better job than what they did. But I am not of the creative mind at
Nintendo.) Anyway Wario confronts Waluigi about try to take his chest from
him. So Waluigi decides to give you a scouting mission.
Scouting Mission with Waluigi
Hit a homerun to win.
Anyone with high swing rating will do, but for a sure fire win I would use
DK, King K. Rool, or Petey Pirahna. Just what I recommend.
Anyway after you win the scouting mission Waluigi joins the team. Check out
the chest for the item. You now have an error item Fireball. Switch back to
Yoshi make your way back around toward Goomba's city shop. Check out the
wanted poster just before you take on Bowser Jr. Switch to Princess Peach
and check the poster again. OUt jumps koopa complaining about you finding
his hiding space.
Scouting Mission with Koopa
Quick Throw
You can only use Princess Peach or Baby Peach for this mission.
Once you win Koopa joins the team. Go ahead now and talk to Bowser Jr. He
complains that your ruined his fog and the takeover of Wario City.
Battle Mission Bowser Jr.
Win the Game.
Like the time before at DK Jungle you are now down two runs with only one
inning and Bowser Jr. is the batting team. Just do what you did before in
DK Jungle to win that game just you need three runs to win this game. As
before chose the best team you think will win the match. If you need any
help here, like before shoot me an email and I will send you one back with
the best team that worked for me, and what items to put on what character.
So after you win the game Bowser Jr. runs off. Now that you have saved all
the parks from Bowser Jr. its now time for you to save and get ready to find
the rest of the hiding characters at the other stadium before you go to
Bowser Jr.'s playroom. So lets leave the city and go to Yoshi Park. Also you
should save your progress at this point.
Once you return to Yoshi Park make your way over to the stadium as Yoshi and
than turn into Peach and checkout the cut down stumps where Shy Guys keep
poping there heads up. Use Princess Peach's ability to have the first Shy
Guy which is Green out and he will face you in a scouting mission.
Scouting Mission with Green Shy GUy
Tag Up and Go
You will have to use Princess Peach for this mission.
Once completed and has joined the team, you will use Princess Peach's
ability again for Gray Shy Guy to pop out with another scouting mission for
you.
Scouting Mission with Gray Shy Guy
Steal a homerun with a Buddy Jump
Anyone will do for this mission. The game will put someone near by that will
work with the character you choose.
Once you are done there change into Mario and take the warp pipe over to
where you have a chest. Switch to Wario to open the chest. You now have the
brush Red Yoshi is looking for. Switch back to Mario back the way you came.
Back to Yoshi and go to the shop where you talk to Red Yoshi. He is glad
you found the brush and joins the team and if you can give the brush back
to the Paratroopa in Wario City.
You have now found everyone in Yoshi Park. Everything in now 50% off in the
store. Yoshi Park is now complete. Time to go back to Mario Stadium once
again for the last time.
Go ahead and switch from Yoshi to DK and take out the first moving crate
that should bring out Red Pianta. Red Pianta will give you a scouting
mission before he joins the team
Scouting Mission with Red Pianta
Throw a laser beam
Just use Wario for this mission or another Pianta will work. Just easier to
use Wario just as well.
After you win the mission and Red Pianta joins the team. switch to Yoshi to
do a ground pound at the palm tree for Yellow Pianta to calm poping down.
Than you will be given another scouting mission I cant remember off the top
of my head but an easy one to win at. Once you have Yellow Pianta in the
team you now have everyone from Mario Stadium. Everything is now 50% off at
the shop. Time to leave and save and visit Peach Ice Garden once again.
Well you are back again to get Baby Daisy her rattle which has fallen into
the fountains water. You will need to use Wario to get the rattle out of the
water. From there switch to Yoshi and head over to the man hole cover and
speak to Baby Daisy. She is so happy that you found her rattle. Baby Daisy
joins the team. Also why you are here get the error item out of the chest
before leaving. You have found everyone in the park. Everything is now 50%
off at the shop. Will leave here save and leave for Wario City.
Once you return here head south from Goomba's shop and you will see
Paratroopa looking at a blank billboard. Speak to him. He see's that you
have his brush. Paratroopa ask you to paint something on the billboard with
the paint brush. Paint whatever you want for the first time. Once done
Paratroopa likes it and joins the team. And you can now paint anything you
want anytime you want. NOTE what you paint will now be on the file choice.
You now have found everyone in Wario City. Everything in the shop is now 50%
in the store. Time to leave here and make your way to face Bowser Jr.
Time for the big ball game between your team and Bowser Jr. team. There will
be 3 innings against Bowser Jr. This game is far more in your favor than it
was at DK Jungle and Wario City when he had a run or 2 run advantage. So you
are more able to get the scores up and win far more easier. Other than what
I told you there isnt much strategy here other than what I can offer up if
you have trouble just shoot me an email to any three of us if there is a
specific question related to the final games here. Thanks
Once beating Bowser Jr. its time for dear old Dad to make an entrance.
Bowser is only playable at night time. If you have bought Luigi's flashlight
at Mario Stadium there is now a minigame to play at Luigi's Mansion to make
some coin if you need it. Also there is now a secret shop. SSSHHHH its a
secret. But I will share it is found at Daisy Cruiser only at night time.
If you see the item/shop section above you will know the items and cost.
There is a minigame now at Mario Stadium and also at Peach Ice Garden. So
if you need some items or feeling like a minigame before Bowser go ahead.
NOTE click on the moon to switch to day or night now. Bowser Castle is next.
Like before in Bowser Jr.'s Playroom Bowser Castle is a tricky place to play
for anyone. The outfield is a crazy area to play in. And Bowser is no push
over for anyone. You have 5 innings to play and you always start out at bat
first. The game is very hard but can be pulled off if you play things out
right like you did against Bowser Jr. NOTE Bowser rarely ever not throws a
fast pitch. So be prepared. And Bowser likes to throw curves with that. And
if he gets a few Star Gauge up to three or more, be prepared to feel a
special pitch back to back. Other than for this good luck.
You won the game. Congrats. Well sorta, Bowser wasnt really trying very hard
and wants you to comeback and get some more. The team you chose will now
have a star associated with them in the roster. This is is suppose to
improve your stats out on the field. Time for the real match with Bowser.
Well you thought it was harder before. Think again it just got harder to
beat Bowser this time. And that Star Power that is suppose to help, well I
couldnt tell a darn thing in this baseball match let alone any I played at
the other stadiums. Anyway try to do as much the same as you did last time
you played Bowser. Just expect it to be harder this time. You will of course
start as the batting team like before. Good Luck to you in this game. If in
need of advice email us were sure to help.
Yes you did it you beat Bowser again. And this time you get the real ending
that you were hoping for the first time. Its a funny ending to watch and
you now have star power if used any diffrent character that you didnt in the
first match. Bowser, Bowser Jr, and there team joins your roster you can now
use in challenge mode at the diffrent stadiums. Congrats on beating the game
and now you can have fun playing minigames and playing with friends.
You can now also view the ending movie when you want anytime. And also you
can play against the teams of the other stadiums when you want. NOTE to you
the player when you do face off against the team of that stadium you will
lose those characters and have to use others. More or less this is to play
for coins and at harder levels. I think they could have done more here as
well but oh well. Anyway congrats on beating the game again. Hope to see you
in another game soon.
If you are here about minigames if you have been playing the game for any
amount of time you have realized there isnt very many minigames to play in
Mario Super Sluggers. More or less there are about 10 minigames and you can
play them with friends from the main menu or play for coins when in
challenge mode. So Im not going to go all out in this section because for
the most part I have covered them in the challenge mode. Nothing will have
changed other than you can choose who you want to play with if they are
CPU characters or when you are playing against friends if you are choosing
the minigame section from the main menu. So if there is something specific
you need check the challenge mode section out. Thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. Toy Field
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toyfield can be played for fun to win the most coins in a set number of
rounds that you chose. You can play by yourself against three other CPU's or
play against your friends whenever you want.
This isnt a bad minigame to play by itself if you are looking for something
diffrent. I really havent played to much other than in challenge mode to
make some money. So other than for that its alright. Could be better or not
even be stand alone to chose other than in challenge mode or shoudl have
been put with the minigames section you chose from the main menu. So other
than that cant say much else for it.

12. Training
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know I had put this down here. But truly most people that are going to
this guide arent going to hop down to training unless they havent played
this game and want to get an idea before the rent or buy this game if it is
going to be easy and fun. Training teaches you how to play the game with
the three diffrent control types that I shared above in controls section.
It really is a helpful place to learn the game mechanics and teach you how
to play with diffrent plays and all the moves you need to know in the
baseball game. So for the most part if any questions here email us with your
question will be glad to help.
This section is for the people who made this possible and helped me along
the way writing this guide. First my wife Rachel (shorty) for putting up
with me and taking the time to help me write this guide and help playing
the game with me. Myself I guess for all the work put into this guide for
those looking for help in the game. And not last Luke (Xenon) for putting
his input where needed that I missed while writing this guide. He has been
writing guides and reviews far longer than I have. And for playing with me
and putting in a couple of late nights this past week. And trying to meet
my deadlines. And also a quick thanks to those who have emailed me with
questions, and those websites wanting to post my work. It really means alot
to me to have my work appreciated and read by alot of readers. If you are
looking or wondering the next game guide will be my plans are for Lego
Batman when it comes out. So see you than. Thanks.

14.Version History
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 0.01
08/30/2008
Just started with writing this guide and adding all the starting information
in place so I can begin writing sections of the guide. And began writing
controls and some character information.
Added more characters. Put in the rest of the sections for a rough look and
add contact, credit, and version history. Also added stadiums and put in
description of the few stadiums I have visited. Started on initial guide for
challenge mode of Mario Super Sluggers.
Worked on challenge mode of Mario Super Sluggers with Mario Stadium Section
and Peach's Ice Garden section as well. Also began Yoshi Park section this
evening.
Worked on challenge mode of Yoshi Park. Also added two new characters of
Monty Mole and Blooper from Mario Stadium. Also updated items, shop items,
and the cost at the shops from stadium to stadium.

began Wario City. Worked on items and the cost of items. And updated
stadium information with Wario City.
Worked on Wario city part in challenge mode. Also did the complete section
of DK Jungle. Also added shops for Yoshi Park, Wario City, and DK Jungle.

15. Contact Information
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For questions, comments, concerns, or possibly a better approach to a
section of the guide. Or the need to fix spelling. With so much being wrote
and this not being on Microsoft word its easy to have a misspelled word here
or there. And hate mail because you know some people just cant get over
something can direct it to these people and there email address. Thank You.

If possible try the first two emails before attempting the third. Not that
he doesnt answer his email most likely either myself or shorty will answer
you more quickly with any questions or concerns first. Thank You again.
I hope that this guide helps you the reader enjoy Mario Super Sluggers just
as much as I enjoyed playing the game and writing this guide. I cant say
as to what my future guide will be next since my last guide writing involved
Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball a few years ago. My wife is the one
who thought I should pick up the NotePad and start guide writing again. So
hopefully this guide was helpful and easy to read. Look foward to seeing you
the reader in my next guide. Thank You and God Bless.
