Update - Version: 0720 - July 20, 2010

I had an incomplete version of this guide posted and was completely unhappy
with it, so I decided to an entire overhaul.  I played through the game twice
to 100% to insure accuracy.  What I didn't take into account was my lousy
computer losing my file once and formatting completely wrong a second time
causing me to retype everything.  Hopefully it's all good now and this guide
can help you with finding all your collectibles and achieving 100%

Please Note: As of this time ONLY GameFAQs.com is allowed to publish this
guide.  I exclusively use GameFAQS.com for my assistance in playing video
games and will not tolerate any other cheat/guide suites taking my information
and posting it for their benefit.  If anyone sees this guide listed elsewhere;
please contact me at the email address at the top of this guide.

**************************************************

Here is the part where I do my lengthy and wordy disclaimer; giving you a
little inside to me and my approach to this guide as well as other
miscellaneous thoughts.

This is the very first guide I have ever written for public consumption.  I
tried to be as detailed as possible for the information I wanted to give, but
at the same time, this is NOT a regular walkthrough as I think the Lego games
are easy enough that they don't need a hand-holding to get through it.  This
is just a checklist of all the collectibles and trophies you need as well as
the locations you will find them.  Later on I will update this guide with a
suggested "mini-walkthrough"; a guide basically saying which order to go where
and when but will still be sparse on the specific details like the guide is
at now.

If you see any spelling errors or have any corrections or suggestions you'd
like to make, by all means feel free to email me at the address at the top of
this guide.  I am happy to get any feedback you wish to share, but please
note that my primary language is English (and to some extent "Broken English")
so if you send in another language, I will sadly not be able to understand
you.  Furthermore, you know if you send me rude or mean emails, all I'm going
to do is laugh at it before deleting it.  There's common decency folks.  I am
doing this guide to help all of you; so the least I would expect is respect
in return.  Feedback will certainly be taken since I do plan on updating this
guide at least once more and if the response is good, I might be encouraged
to do more guides in the future.

At this time, I don't have a "Questions/FAQs" section, so if you do have any
questions on how to do a specific task, feel free to ask and I'll be more
than happy to assist you via e-mail.  If I am asked the same question a few
times, I will most likely add it to a future update.  However, I think this
game is easy enough that there might be just a handful of puzzles that might
confuse some players if at all.

GLITCH WARNING! - From the time the game was released to the time I have
submitted this version of the guide, the online boards have been riddled with
complaints from many players about the glitches in this game.  Two of the
most common ones involve the "Basement of Doom" and "Tom Riddle's Diary" not
to mention the constant freezing or how certain trophies haven't been
accepted.  I have one easy suggestion and that is to CREATE BACK UP FILES.  I
have 3 user accounts on my PS3 since I'm not the only one who uses it, so I
have found it quite helpful to go into my save data and copy it to the other
accounts.  This is an excellent way to insure that if you do run into an
unforgivable curse; um, I mean glitch, then you have a back up file to still
get you to the goal of 100%/Platinum.  I would recommend doing a back up file
after every 10% complete or so; as it's easy to go back and redo a small
portion of the game rather than having to start the entire thing over.

One of the awesome things about the Lego games is the multiple ways you can
tackle this in a runthrough.  You can do all of the Story Modes, then do all
of the Free Play, then tackle the hubs.  You can mix-and-match.  You can get
a new magic then systematically clean out everything repeating the same tasks
until you have gotten what you can, then move on.  You can play conservatively
and not smash anything up until you get all the multipliers.  Unlike other
games which are more linear in nature; it makes creating a walkthrough for
this one all the more difficult.  There is no one "correct" way to play this,
and that is why there is no detailed step-by-step instruction of how to get
100%; rather just what you need in the first place.  In a future update, I
will probably include a couple of various methods; making suggestions of what
to tackle and in what order.  However, if you use my detailed checklists of
collectibles, I think most people can achieve the 100% without any more
assistance.

This guide you see has two major sections.  The first one is a checklist
of all collectibles and trophies needed for 100% completion/Platinum; ones
which you can print out and use to cross off as you come across them.  The
second section is a detailed listing of all story chapters and all hub
sections and a cross-referenced checklist of what collectibles are found in
each of those locations as well as having details on what you need to do to
get said collectibles.  Again, I will be doing an update on this guide in the
near future so I will include suggested paths to take as well as cleaning up
what is here now on the guide for more consistency and accuracy.

At the time I submitted this guide, I had already completed this game twice to
100% so I am completely confident that the checklists are complete and
accurate, and will use my own guide to create my update as well as clean up
any lack-of-continuity I might have presented.

So fire up the "New Game" option and let the fun start!

Part of playing a new game for the first time can be exciting; trying to find
all the little hidden things, the secrets, the wonders, etc.  However, let's
face it.  Lego games are getting more complicated (which of course is a good
thing) throwing in more things to find, more places to explore and getting
very creative in their challenges making getting 100% sometimes not as easy
as one would think.

That is the whole purpose of this guide.  It is NOT your typical cookie-cutter
walkthrough where I hold your hand and take you through absolutely everything
step by step.  This is still a Lego game and the general nature of gameplay is
quite easy.  What this guide does is basically list all of the collectibles
you will need to get that elusive 100% as well as the trophies you need to get
the platinum.

Of course, this guide is full of spoilers... technically.  I think it's safe
to assume that most people who are playing the game have either read the books
and/or have seen the movies and therefore there is really nothing TO spoil.
However, if you're new to the "Harry Potter" universe, then I am really not
spoiling plot, since the game skips over most of it; but rather what the guide
spoils is locations and character names.  So really, I guess it isn't that
"spoiler-ish", huh?

This first section is your checklist of all the major collectibles found
throughout the game.  In each sub-section, I will give further information so
this will be helpful.

**************************************************
*               167 CHARACTER TOKENS             *
**************************************************

Here is the list of all 167 Character Token you will unlock throughout the
entire game.  You will find some of the Tokens in the story chapters and some
throughout the hubs.  Once you have found the Token, you still need to go to
Madam Malkin's Robes to purchase them.  Once you have purchased them, you can
then choose this character when you are starting a chapter in Free Play, or
you can choose this character when using the Polyjuice Potion in the hubs.

GLITCH WARNING!!! - It has happened repeatedly where if you wander around the
hub as a different character (after using the Polyjuice Potion), the game
will freeze on you.  Nothing game breaking, just requires you to shut the
system down and reload.  There is an easy way around that.  While you are
wandering around the hub, if you need to change into a different character
(and you will need to do it often), change Ron and/or Hermione.  There are
Polyjuice Potions scattered throughout the hubs, so once you know the type
of character you need, switch the other characters as seen fit.  Just make
sure you control Harry when crossing into other areas.  Once you are in the
correct section and need a different character, then just switch members.  It
is inconvenient I won't deny, but it'll save you from screaming at your
console constantly.

I have decided to list the Character Tokens in the order that they are
presented at Madam Malkin's Robes.  I have found that a majority of people
online when looking for a character will say "Who is between X and Y".  Of
course this (and all the other collectible lists) will not be in the actual
order you find and/or buy them; but at least if you are at the shop buying
and you think you missed something, this list will help you figure out exactly
which Character Token you are missing.

Each Character Token is followed by one of two location descriptions.  Any
Token that is followed by a "Year/Chapter", then it will be found inside of
one of the story chapters; and looking at the second section of this guide
will pinpoint the location in details.  The ones followed by "Section" are
located in the hubs and the details of locating them will also be found in the
appropriate location later in the guide.

*                 200 GOLD BRICKS                *
**************************************************

There are so many Gold Bricks to find in this game; but fortunately a huge
chunk of them are associated with other tasks so it isn't as daunting as you
would initially suspect.  The one downside, however, is unlike the Character
Tokens, there isn't one set location you can look and see which Brick you
are missing.  You'll know your total count, but that doesn't mean anything if
you're not sure which one you skipped over.

Adding injury to insult is another "GLITCH".  There is at least one known case
(I have seen it myself), where the Gold Brick indicator will point to a
location (in this case the Main Library) despite the fact that you have
already picked up the brick.  Even worst is the fact that you get a free Gold
Brick for every Student In Peril you save.  There is NO Student In Peril
indicator and the Gold Brick indicator does NOT work with these; so you could
be missing a Gold Brick with a Student but fortunately you can see in your
own screen numbers if you are missing one of them.

Each Brick on this checklist is followed by a "task"; the task is what you
need to do to earn the Brick.  Below is a list of the tasks and the general
explanation.

01. Ability: There are various times in the game where the characters learn an
ability, and the Brick is given to you for passing the class.
02. Bonus Level: There are 10 bonus levels in Gringotts Bank; each one rewards
you with a Brick.
03. Cauldron: Like "Ability", you earn one once you've mastered the recipe for
a potion.
04. For Sale: There are 12 Bricks that you can flat out buy (for a hefty sum
I might add).
05. House Crest: Within each story chapter; are 4 individual House Crests.
You have to locate all 4 of them (you will definitely need Free Play to
complete this); and once you have you get the automatic Brick at the end of
the level.
06. Level Complete: You will automatically get these Bricks once you have
completed a chapter in Story Mode.
07. Minikit: Once you have gotten all 24 Gold Bricks from any Year, you can
build an item in the Leaky Cauldron basement for an additional brick.
08. Miscellaneous: These are the fun bricks; some are just hidden, while
others require little puzzles to solve.
09. Spell: Same as "Ability" and "Cauldron"; once you have learned a new
magic spell, you are given the Brick as a reward.
10. Student In Peril: When you're not busy saving the world from Voldemort,
you are helping this poor fool over and over again.  Each time you save him,
a Brick is yours.
11. True Wizard: Each story chapter requires a predetermined amount of studs;
once you have done that, you earn the brick. (Most can be done in Story Mode,
but you can achieve them in Free Play if you don't)

*                  24 RED BRICKS                 *
**************************************************

I imagine a large portion of people who are reading this guide have played at
least one Lego game before.  If so, you know that the Red Bricks are probably
the most coveted collectible as it makes the gameplay more fun as it gives
the player certain advantages.  In fact this is my seventh Lego games (didn't
realize I had that many until I just counted), and I think the overall ratio
of USEFUL Red Bricks in this game is the best.

There are a total of 24 Red Bricks in the game; even though you are only
required to find 20 since 4 of them are waiting for you in the shop to buy.
Once you find a Red Brick in the Hogwarts Hub you will need to pick up the
Brick and deliver it to Hedwig who will be sitting on his perch in that
section (which makes it easier to know WHERE there is a Brick in the first
place).  Hedwig will fly off with the Brick and it will be added to your
items for sale at Eeylops Owl Emporium.  Only after you go there and purchase
the Brick will you be able to use the ability it comes with.  (Of course you
have to make sure you turn the ability ON in the pause menu).

Of the 24 Bricks, I personally think 5 of them are useless including the 4 you
are given at the start of the game (labeled with the letters).  The other 19
can be quite useful depending on when you get them.  In a future update, when
I offer a suggested path to take; you won't need to use some of the indicators
and in fact you really don't need to use them now if you follow the guide
(except for "The Black Lake" chapter which is just a nightmare in my opinion).
What is even better in my opinion, is the fact that the multipliers are MUCH
cheaper in this game then they have been in any previous Lego game; allowing
you to be able to afford them when you get them (nothing more frustrating
than unlocking the "Score x10" and not having the studs to buy it) and truly
raking in the dough.  Of course, the multipliers won't be gotten until later
in the game, but you CAN get the "Collect Ghost Studs" Brick very early in
the game.  Trust me, studs are never going to be an issue as long as you don't
waste them buying the Gold Bricks or Red Magics in the shops right away.

Below is the list of Red Bricks in the game along with the location you can
find them at (see the detailed section later on in the guide for more
information on how to get them) and a description of what the abilities for
each Brick are.

**********

AA. Silhouettes (Section 4) - All characters will turn into silhouettes; it's
cool to look at, but difficult to tell the characters apart sometimes.

BB. Ice Rink (Section 4) - The ground will be "icy" causing you to have some
difficulty walking, running or sometimes even standing still.

CC. Disguise (Section 4) - Typical staple of the Lego games; all of your
characters will have those mustache-glasses.  Cute; but still useless.

DD. Carrot Wands (Section 4) - Nothing screams "intimidating" then turning
your wands into food.  That'll scare Voldemort, huh?

01. Singing Mandrake (Section 63) - Instead of the Mandrakes screaming, they
will sing instead (VERY helpful for people like me with sensitive hearing).

02. Character Token Detector (Section 36) - Points to the location of where
the Tokens are; you still sometimes have to solve a puzzle first though.

03. Fall Rescue (Section 17) - This prevents you from falling to your death.
You are magically teleported back to safety and do not lose any studs.
04. Character Studs (Section 28) - Non boss enemies in story chapters now
spit out studs when they die (perfect for the "Follow The Spiders" chapter).
***WARNING*** - This will also work inside the Hubs if you use the Killing
Curse.  However, once you kill these NPC's, they will NEVER come back!
05. Score x2 (Section 55) - Multiplies the amount of studs by 2.  All of the
multipliers stack; so with all 5 unlocked, you can have studs x3840!
06. Score x4 (Section 15) - Multiplies the amount of studs by 4.  All of the
multipliers stack; so with all 5 unlocked, you can have studs x3840!
07. Score x6 (Section 11) - Multiplies the amount of studs by 6.  All of the
multipliers stack; so with all 5 unlocked, you can have studs x3840!
08. Score x8 (Section 30) - Multiplies the amount of studs by 8.  All of the
multipliers stack; so with all 5 unlocked, you can have studs x3840!
09. Score x10 (Section 42) - Multiplies the amount of studs by 10.  All of the
multipliers stack; so with all 5 unlocked, you can have studs x3840!

10. Stud Magnet (Section 51) - Attracts studs from a distance; perfect for the
studs that fly away when you smash things up.
***WARNING*** - Having the Stud Magnet equipped does NOT work in the bars or
clubs as you have to use your own charisma to pick up the studs. :p
11. Regenerate Hearts (Section 39) - Your health will slowly regenerate, so
even during a Boss Battle, you should be able to survive without dying.

12. Extra Hearts (Section 34) - Instead of having a 4-hearts health bar, you
now have 6.  Or for you RPG fans; you now have 6HP instead of 4HP... cool!

13. Invincibility (Section 10) - Here, you will never take damage or die in
battle; you can still fall to your death but that's where "Fall Rescue" helps.
14. Red Brick Detector (Section 26) - Locates the Red Bricks, but if you see
Hedwig, you already know it's there (some puzzle solving might be required).
15. Hogwarts Crest Detector (Section 22) - Locates the Crest pieces in the
chapters; will sometimes point to multiple locations if a puzzle is required.
***WARNING*** - This can be VERY overwhelming in chapters where multiple
things need to be smashed as there will be arrows pointing everywhere.
16. Gold Brick Detector (Section 58) - Again it points to where the Gold
Bricks will be; some puzzle solving will be required.
***WARNING*** - Again, it will NOT detect the Bricks associated with the
Students In Peril; but only for the ones I listed as "miscellaneous" above.

17. Christmas (Section 20) - Of the 20, this is the least helpful, giving
everyone a Santa hat.  What... no Yamulkas? (sorry, that's the Jew in me).

18. Collect Ghost Studs (Section 54) - You can get this early in the game
allowing you to earn 1,000 per stud Nick poops out when following him.

19. Fast Magic (Section 37) - Allows you to use your magic must faster.

20. Fast Dig (Section 50) - Allows you to dig up spots much faster.

**************************************************
*               50 STUDENTS IN PERIL             *
**************************************************

If I had to choose, I would say this is my absolute favorite thing in the
entire game.  Throughout both the Story Chapters and the Hogwarts Hub are 50
different Students In Peril (although it's actually ONE student repeatedly
getting himself in trouble) and it's your job to rescue him from the various
pratfalls.

Some of the scenarios are rather hysterical; although I am disappointed that
some of them are repeated more than once (for example, how many times does he
get caught in Devil's Snare?).

The one hard part about this is that there is NO "Students In Peril Indicator"
in this game, so there isn't any cheat to help you find them.  Furthermore,
while you do get a Gold Brick for each one you rescue, the "Gold Brick
Indicator" does NOT work with these; hence you are truly on your own to find
and save them (him).

That's where I come in.  Here's the checklist in order of how I have them
listed in the guide; look for the Story Chapter or Hub section indicated for
more details on what you need to do to find and help him.

*                 37 TROPHIES LIST               *
**************************************************

I'm on the fence about Trophies in general.  Yes it can make for a challenge
at times (similar to the skill points found in the early Spyro games), but
at the same time I think some games ask the impossible especially when it
requires you to play multiplayer online.  I will NEVER get all the trophies
for the Grand Theft Auto series because some of the players are flat out
insane and do nothing but hinder your playing and makes it the opposite of
fun.

One of the reasons I am planning an update on this guide is to further work
on this section.  I had gotten all the trophies before starting this guide
and therefore am not 100% sure when the best time to achieve certain ones are.
Throughout the detailed section are recommended places for some of them, but
at the end are the rest of them which I haven't allocated to a specific
chapter or section of the hub.  So unfortunately I do not have any cross-
references in this particular section at this time.

WARNING!!! - There have been reports of some people not getting Platinum
despite having 100% because some trophies have been apparently not accepted.
This is another good reason to do back up files as suggested earlier.  If
you are absolutely sure you met all the requirements for a trophy and it
didn't click in; reload and try again.  Fortunately, trophies are something
you can do in multiple runs so even if you complete the game and missed a
couple; you can always get the others the next time you play as the replay
value for this game is extraordinarily high in my opinion.

Here's a list of the trophies and the requirements you need to unlock them:

01. Animagus - Unlock all of the Animagi characters
02. Arachnophobic - Defeat 20 spiders using Ron
03. Back In Time - Use the Time-Turner

*          STORY MODE/FREE PLAY - CHAPTER AND COLLECTIBLES GUIDE             *
*                                                                            *
******************************************************************************

Now it's time to actually fire up the game.  You've seen the lists of
collectibles; now it's time to actually get them.

This section is devoted to the 24 story related chapters of the game.  Each
Year is split up into 6 chapters and the game covers the first 4 Years of the
adventures of Harry Potter and his friends.

I have split up each story chapter into smaller areas.  These areas are there
strictly to help you pinpoint the location of the collectibles.  For some of
the levels (see Year 1/Chapter 1), these areas are quite obvious because each
area is in a completely different location.  For other levels (see Year 1/
Chapter 3), it is one very large location.  With those locations, I have done
my best to find obvious "checkpoints" and split up the level using my own
homemade areas so that you can indeed pinpoint the collectibles.  For those
levels (notably the Quidditch and Forest ones), I will list the areas as
"X > Y" meaning from Point X to Point Y.

Most levels and most areas will allow you to backtrack (with the notable
exceptions of the Boss Battles); so if you do indeed miss something, more
than likely you can backtrack.  However, the entire purpose of this guide is
to keep track of what is in each area; so if you are using this guide for
that purpose, before continuing on, make sure you have everything I have
pointed out.

Granted, not everything CAN be achieved in a single runthrough.  I have given
notations to what can be gotten in Story Mode (SM) and in Free Play (FP).
If you are running through for the first time in Story Mode, just look for
the (SM) to make sure you've gotten it.  If you see (FP), then you know you
CAN'T get it and it's safe to resume your quest.  Please note that items
marked as (FP) will always require stronger magic or a different character.

At the end of each chapter I have supplied a checklist of everything you can
ultimately receive from it whether it be in Story Mode or Free Play.  You
can use this to cross-reference with the checklists earlier in this guide.
Fortunately for the collectibles in the story chapters, when you are at the
bulletin board in The Leaky Cauldron, by hovering your controller over the
chapter icon, you will get all of the icons on the screen showing you what
you have or haven't gotten.

After the first through fifth chapter, you will be given the option to
continue the story or return to Hogwarts.  I would suggest you ALWAYS go back
to Hogwarts as there will be times where Nick will lead you to classrooms
where you can upgrade your magic.  Never fear, you can't get lost as long
as you follow his Ghost Studs and he will lead you back to the Story Mode.
After the sixth/final chapter, you will only be given the option to Finish
the Story (cute cutscenes); in which you will be brought back to The Leaky
Cauldron, therefore allowing you to choose your next path.

There are some things that I like to point out in specific chapters.  If there
is an important thing I want you to take note of, I will put ***NOTE*** after
the specific area so you are made aware of something (i.e. go here before
there so you don't miss out on something).  It might look a little sloppy,
but I wanted to bring up important things in the specific area rather than at
the top of the section.

Some of the collectibles require you to smash up multiple objects and those
objects carry over from one area to another.  So for example I might say
"Crest: Part 4a" and "Crest: Part 4b".  To earn that crest, you will need
to smash up the listed amount of things in each of those areas.  As long
as you keep track of my count before moving on, once you have hit the total
necessary, you will earn the collectible.

Also, once in awhile this game gives you a red herring.  Sometimes you are
getting a count ("1 of 8", "2 of 8") and logically you think you'll be
earning a collectible.  Nope.  You will just earn studs instead.  Sometimes
blue (1,000), and sometimes a nice healthy purple (10,000).  These can make
the difference for the "True Wizard" achievement so if there are specific
cases, I will highlight them as "Studs" even though it is no way a
collectible.  This is also brought up so if you do reach "8 of 8" you're
not looking for a collectible if there isn't one to begin with.

One more point before continuing on.  I can't emphasize enough that this
guide is NOT a thorough walkthrough! - I will give details on how to get
the collectibles; but that isn't everything in the game.  If you look right
below at the first area (The Leaky Cauldron), all I do is give details on
how to get one of the Crest parts.  I do NOT give details on how to proceed
to the next section; as that is not something that ties into getting a
collectible.  All this guide does is help you know what to look for before
moving on.  The moving on part is for you to have fun with and discover :)

**************************************************
*      YEAR 1/CHAPTER 1 - "THE MAGIC BEGINS"     *
**************************************************

AREA 1: THE LEAKY CAULDRON
-- Crest: Part 1 - Destroy the 2 tables and turn the broken pieces into
pictures; the second one will spit out the Crest. (SM)

AREA 2: DIAGON ALLEY
-- Crest: Part 2 - In the southwest corner, wave at the owner of the "Sugar
Plums" store and she will give you the Crest. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 3 - At the very end of this area you will create 5 puddles
of green goo.  Near the entrance of this area is a barrel.  Empty the barrel
and use the pieces to make a street sweeper which you can then use to clean
up the good and earn the Crest. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Halfway up the alley on the right hand side, you will
have your first encounter with the infamous Student In Peril.  Or as I so
lovingly call him: "Fool" (or "Moron" or "Idiot" or... well you get the idea).
Have Harry stand on the table and have Hagrid levitate him up so you can
help him down to Earth. (SM)
-- Trophy: Solid Snape - To earn this trophy, you have to hide inside of any
barrel in the game using Snape.  You've already encountered your first barrel
so make sure to return her in Free Play once you've unlocked Snape. (FP)

AREA 3: GRINGOTTS BANK
-- Character Token 1: Mr. Ollivander - After using Griphook's key, you will
find this Token on the far left locked inside a chest. (FP)
-- Character Token 2: Tom The Innkeeper - After using Griphook's key, you will
find this Token on the far right locked inside a chest. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Behind Griphook's desk is a gate breakable by dark magic;
use the chain to subdue the dragon and you will find the final Crest. (FP)
-- Studs - Lighting up the 8 darkened desk lamps throughout the bank lobby
rewards you with studs per lamp and a purple stud after the eighth one. (SM)
-- True Wizard - There are no enemies in this chapter, so achieving True
Wizard is quite easy.  Smash everything.  Attack, Attack, Attack.  Just as
long as you don't start attacking everything at once and letting the studs
fly all about, you should be fine. (So attack within close proximity of where
you are actually standing).

AREA 4: BANK VAULT
***NOTE*** - Make sure you enter the right vault first; as the left vault will
continue to the next section making you miss out on studs and a collectible.
-- Character Token 3: Griphook - Inside the right vault's locked chest. (FP)

AREA 5: DIAGON ALLEY (Passing Through Only)

AREA 6: OLLIVANDER'S WAND SHOP (Cutscene Only)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 124: Griphook
-- Character Token 130: Mr. Ollivander
-- Character Token 131: Tom The Innkeeper
-- Gold Brick 001: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 002: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 003: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 004: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 01
-- Trophy 26: Solid Snape

**************************************************
*     YEAR 1/CHAPTER 2 - "OUT OF THE DUNGEON"    *
**************************************************

AREA 1: HALLWAY
-- Character Token 1: Ron (Girl Disguise) - Found inside of the Rune
Cabinet. (FP)
-- Character Token 2: Harry (Hogwarts) - Found inside the locked desk at the
end of the area. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Put the 3 fish into the fountain's water. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Attack the metal and put the pieces together to turn the
fountain on. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Attack the 9 flowerpots to make the flowers bloom. (SM)</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
-- Crest: Part 4a - Light 4 of the 7 wall lamps in the area. (SM)

AREA 2: BATHROOM (BOSS BATTLE: TROLL)
-- Character Token 3: Madam Malkin - In the southwest of the bathroom, there
is a cabinet you can break into; the token will appear on top of it. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4b - Light 3 of the 7 wall lamps in the area. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Why do I call him a fool you ask?  You will find that
in EVERY level where there is a bathroom involved; he's there needing to be
rescued.  And it's almost always the girl's bathroom.  Last I checked, he IS a
boy.  Fortunately, you don't have to do anything to save this guy, because
during the Boss Battle, the Troll will smash up all the toilet stalls freeing
him so he can run away in fear. (SM)
-- Trophy: Defeating The Object - To earn this trophy, you have to defeat the
Troll using the Professor Quirrell Character Token.  Once you have unlocked
and purchased him, enter Free Play with that character and beat the troll
using ONLY him (don't let the second character attack if you're playing in
2-player mode).
-- True Wizard - Despite being a Boss Battle; you really don't take any
injury from him.  He takes three hits to be defeated; the third one requires
you to lift the mace up and hit him.  Don't do it.  After he's down to his
last heart health; attack the bathroom.  The sinks can be hit multiple times,
and the toilet seats can also be destroyed if that hasn't already been done.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 003: Harry (Hogwarts)
-- Character Token 023: Ron (Girl Disguise)

**************************************************
*       YEAR 1/CHAPTER 3 - "A JINXED BROOM"      *
**************************************************

AREA 1: STARTING POINT > BROOMSTICK FLYING
-- Crest: Part 1a - Open up 2 of the 7 Quidditch flags. (SM)

AREA 2: BROOMSTICK FLYING > RUNE CABINET
-- Character Token 1: Fred (Quidditch) - To the left of the pipes, the Token
is inside a locked chest. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1b - Open up 3 of the 7 Quidditch flags. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2a - As soon as you were thrown off your broom, you saw a
Crest part hanging in the air - IGNORE IT FOR NOW - there are 2 ways to get
it, and I'll give you the easier way later on in this chapter. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Inside the chest that the Pixies are carrying. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Well he's gone and done it this time; he's trapped
behind the Rune cabinet and only a Year 4 student can free him since you
need to be able to blast through that metal barrier first. (FP)

AREA 3: RUNE CABINET > LADDER GOING UP
-- Character Token 2: Harry (Girl Disguise) - Near the end of this area are
some small wooden stairs to your right.  Switch to Ron and release Scabbers
to reach this token underneath. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 1c - Open up 2 of the 7 Quidditch flags. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2b - Now we're going for that Crest you saw earlier.  Instead
of going up the ladder, go left instead.  At that barrier, jump forward and
immediately cock the controller back so you jump around.  Now keep going left
until the very end of the plank.  Once you see the Crest, do NOT jump, just
fall straight down and you will pass right through it.  This is much easier
than trying to manipulate those Lego pieces into a staircase in the other
direction to reach it. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - While going for Crest 2, you will find this one inside a
barrel that can be destroyed with dark magic. (FP)
-- True Wizard - As long as you don't keep falling off the front of the
screen and don't let the studs fly about, there is plenty of stuff to smash
about and earn this easily. (SM)

AREA 4: LADDER GOING UP > END OF LEVEL
-- Character Token 3: Marcus Flint - Inside a dark-magic cabinet near the
end of the level. (FP)
-- Trophy: Quick Quidditch - I hope you enjoyed this level because you will be
doing it again.  You have to complete a Quidditch level in under 5 minutes to
win this trophy; and from what I understand it can be ANY Quidditch level, but
this one is the shortest.  I would suggest coming back in Free Play to first
get the items you are missing and try to learn the area then reenter the level
again using Professor McGonagall (ability to use the Rune cabinets, can turn
into a cat for the pipes and has stronger magic in general).

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 008: Harry (Girl Disguise)
-- Character Token 050: Fred (Quidditch)
-- Character Token 078: Marcus Flint
-- Gold Brick 009: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 010: True Wizard

**************************************************
*   YEAR 1/CHAPTER 4 - "THE RESTRICTED SECTION"  *
**************************************************

AREA 1: LIBRARY
-- Character Token 1: Harry (Pyjamas) - Inside a metal cabinet in the lower
right side of the room. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1a - Attack 4 of the 6 flower pots to get them to bloom. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Inside of the Rune cabinet. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Dark magic the spider web on the upper right side where
you find the final Cauldron ingredient. (FP)

AREA 2: THE RESTRICTED SECTION
***NOTE*** - There are 2 books here that will eat you.  Put on your
Invisibility Cloak and approach these 2 books.  You will be triggered to
use the triangle button which will kill it.  You can then safely explore the
rest of the area.
-- Character Token 2: Filch - Inside of Griphook's Safe (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1b - Attack 2 of the 6 flower pots to get them to bloom. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - This is definitely one of his more unique situations.
In the left aisle you will find a birdcage. Destroy that so you can magically
build a cuckoo clock.  Guess who's hiding inside of it?  Attack the clock
to free this birdbrain. (FP)

AREA 3: BALCONY
-- Character Token 3: Neville (Pyjamas) - Destroy the conveniently located
dark-magic cabinet. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Murder the 3 innocent spiders sitting on their webs. (SM)
-- True Wizard - This is one of the only 2 chapters in the entire game I was
NOT able to get True Wizard on.  If you're able to do it in Story Mode, please
let me know how close you were to getting it, because I've tried.  Thankfully,
you can still do this in Free Play. (FP)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 010: Harry (Pyjamas)
-- Character Token 053: Neville (Pyjamas)
-- Character Token 132: Filch
-- Gold Brick 013: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 014: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 015: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 016: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 04

**************************************************
*    YEAR 1/CHAPTER 5 - "THE FORBIDDEN FOREST"   *
**************************************************

AREA 1: STARTING POINT > IMP-CREATED LADDER
***NOTE*** - I will correct this in my next update; but I forgot to write
down how many of the dark-magic rocks are in each area; so try to keep an
eye out for them in Free Play as I also believe you can backtrack the entire
level if necessary.
-- Character Token 1: Fang - In the southeast corner, have Fang dig himself
up out of the ground. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 1a - Destroy 1 of the 3 yellow flowers. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2a - Destroy ? of the 10 dark magic rocks. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - If there is one thing you will be able to rely on in
this game, is that this Student will constantly get himself in trouble with
the wildlife.  In this case, he is trapped in some Devil's Snare near the
start of the level.  If he's lucky, maybe you'll set him free. (SM)

AREA 2: IMP-CREATED LADDER > 1st HOLE IN THE GROUND
-- Crest: Part 1b - Destroy 2 of the 3 yellow flowers. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2b - Destroy ? of the 10 dark magic rocks. (FP)

AREA 3: 1st HOLE IN THE GROUND > 2nd HOLE IN THE GROUND
-- Crest: Part 2c - Destroy ? of the 10 dark magic rocks. (FP)

AREA 4: 2nd HOLE IN THE GROUND > END OF LEVEL
-- Character Token 2: Hagrid - Inside of a locked chest right before you
reach the lake. (FP)
-- Character Token 3: Draco (Hogwarts) - Inside a dark magic ball above the
lake. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 2d - Destroy ? of the 10 dark magic rocks. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - After draining the lake, return the 6 fish back into the
water. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Found inside a locked chest in the southeast after draining
the lake. (FP)
-- True Wizard - With all forest levels, there are always a ton of studs to
be found, so as long as you attack the items near you and don't let them fly
away, you should achieve this without a problem. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 029: Hagrid
-- Character Token 073: Draco (Hogwarts)
-- Character Token 122: Fang
-- Gold Brick 017: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 018: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 019: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 020: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 05

**************************************************
*      YEAR 1/CHAPTER 6 - "FACE OF THE ENEMY"    *
**************************************************

AREA 1: FLUFFY'S ROOM

AREA 2: UNDERGROUND PIT
-- Crest: Part 1 - Inside a metal chest as soon as you enter the area. (FP)
-- Trophy: Lumos Solem - You have to destroy 50 Devil's Snares in the entire
game.  Unfortunately there aren't enough in normal Story Mode or in the hubs,
so you need to replay a level repeatedly until you accumulate 50.  I just
recommend this level because it's non-forest, and frankly I think this level
is pretty easy to rip through.  You find 5 Devil's Snares in this first part,
and after about 4 runs through this level the trophy should kick in if you
have already completed all Story chapters. (FP)

AREA 3: KEY ROOM
-- Character Token 1: Harry (Slytherin Disguise) - Inside a locked chest in
the corner of the room. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Destroy the 10 metal keys flying around. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Being caught in the Devil's Snare in the last chapter
wasn't enough, this time the poor fool is being held hostage by the giant
"Spider Legs" (as I call them throughout this guide).  Fly up and land on that
little ledge to free him. (SM)
-- True Wizard - This one is pretty easy to achieve; behind the Student In
Peril (once you free him) is a nice healthy purple stud, while there are at
least two blues floating in the air out of sight behind the central pillar.
As long as you just fly around at different heights, you'll get this. (SM)

AREA 4: CHESS ROOM
-- Character Token 2: Professor Quirrell (Voldemort) - Destroy the dark magic
object to the west of the chessboard. (FP)
-- Character Token 3: Ron (Cardigan) - Destroy the dark magic object to the
east of the chessboard. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Destroy the metal case to the northwest and hop on the
horse who will buck you into the air catching the out-of-vision Crest. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Destroy the dark magic garbage on the south side of the
chessboard. (FP)

AREA 5: BOSS BATTLE - PROFESSOR QUIRRELL (VOLDEMORT)
-- Trophy: Quirrell Quandary - To earn this trophy, you have to beat the boss
playing as Lord Voldemort himself; which can only be accomplished after you
reach 100%, so this will be one of the very last things you do when playing
this game. (FP)

FINISH STORY: CUTSCENES
-- Trophy: Crest Collector - You will receive this once you have collected all
24 House Crests throughout Year 1; if collected in order through Free Play,
you will get the trophy now. (FP)
-- Trophy: Junior - You will automatically receive this trophy once you have
completed all of Year 1's Story Mode chapters; probably after the very last
scene here. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 009: Harry (Slytherin Disguise)
-- Character Token 025: Ron (Cardigan)
-- Character Token 109: Professor Quirrell (Voldemort)
-- Gold Brick 021: Level Complete

**************************************************
*         YEAR 2/CHAPTER 1 - "FLOO POWDER!"      *
**************************************************

AREA 1: OUTSIDE THE WEASLEY HOME
-- Character Token 1: George Weasley - Buried underneath one of the pet
digging spots. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Lift and then spin the 6 garden gnomes into their
respective targets. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - With either vehicle you can make, run over the 7 carrots
and then shoot them off into space. (SM)

AREA 2: INSIDE THE WEASLEY HOME

AREA 3: INSIDE BORGIN AND BERKES (or is that "Diagonally"? ha ha)
-- Character Token 2: Arthur Weasley - Inside the dark magic cabinet in the
northeast corner of the store. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Inside a locked chest in the southwest corner. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Looks like this helpless student couldn't control
himself and wandered into the wrong store.  He's locked inside a chest in
the southwest corner of the store. (FP)

AREA 4: KNOCKTURN ALLEY
-- Character Token 3: Harry (Sweater) - Inside the chest near the northern
exit. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - It's on the overpath halfway up the alleyway. (FP)
-- Trophy: Stud Magnet - You get this for achieving True Wizard on all 24
levels.  Depending on how you play the game; or what order you do things, you
can very well achieve this at a different time.  At the very end of this
guide, I will give a very simple generic path that I took to get 100% and
this was the last chapter I had gotten True Wizard on. (FP)
-- True Wizard - I for some reason couldn't get True Wizard in Story Mode
for this chapter due to that evil chest in the southwest of the store.  You
might be able to get it; if so, let me know that it's possible.  Otherwise
just come back and try again in Free Play with your multipliers. (FP)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 002: Harry (Sweater)
-- Character Token 054: George Weasley
-- Character Token 102: Arthur Weasley
-- Gold Brick 025: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 026: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 027: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 028: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 07
-- Trophy 28: Stud Magnet

**************************************************
*         YEAR 2/CHAPTER 2 - "DOBBY'S PLAN"      *
**************************************************

AREA 1: STARTING POINT > DOBBY 5/4
***NOTE*** - (#/#) represents the hearts before and after each encounter
with Dobby throughout this level.  In other words, each time you attack Dobby
and take 1 health away from him, it becomes the next Area in this guide.
-- Crest: Part 1a - Destroy 2 of the 4 mini orange flags. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2a - Open up 2 of the 4 Quidditch flags. (SM)

AREA 2: DOBBY 5/4 > DOBBY 4/3

AREA 3: DOBBY 4/3 > DOBBY 3/2
-- Character Token 1: Draco (Quidditch) - Inside a dark cabinet underneath
the stairs. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1b - Destroy 2 of the 4 mini orange flags. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2b - Open up 2 of the 4 Quidditch flags. (SM)

AREA 4: DOBBY 3/2 > DOBBY 2/1

AREA 5: DOBBY 2/1 > DOBBY 1/0
-- Crest: Part 3 - Wave at the 2 paintings on either side of the Pixie
bridge. (I'm sorry but I forget which House this represents). (FP)
-- Student In Peril - He must really be afraid of Dobby because you will find
him hiding inside a locked chest to the right of that Pixie bridge. (FP)

AREA 6: HOSPITAL WARD (TWO ROOMS CONCURRENT)
-- Character Token 2: Dobby - Hop on the 2nd most bottom left bed to reach
the Token in the air. (SM)
-- Character Token 3: Madam Pomfrey - Destroy what looks to be like an ice
cream machine in the secondary room. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Inside Griphook's Safe in the secondary room. (FP)
-- True Wizard - This is the first of several chapters where I would suggest
switching to the "adult" character (in this case Madam Pomfrey), because they
come with better magics allowing you to destroy things you otherwise couldn't
and get more studs easily achieving your True Wizard status. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 038: Madam Pomfrey
-- Character Token 071: Draco (Quidditch)
-- Character Token 123: Dobby
-- Gold Brick 029: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 030: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 031: Student In Peril

**************************************************
*       YEAR 2/CHAPTER 3 - "CRABBE AND GOYLE"    *
**************************************************

AREA 1: BATHROOM
-- Character Token 1: Vincent Crabbe - On the east side of the bathroom past
the metal barriers. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Pull the strength bar to get a mop and mop up the 6
puddles of good on the floor. (FP)

AREA 2: HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN DUNGEON
-- Crest: Part 2 - Again?  Would you kindly put those 3 fish back into the
water for me please? (SM)

AREA 3: HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN COMMON ROOM (2 ROOMS - LEFT/RIGHT)
-- Character Token 2: Gregory Goyle - Dark magic the cabinet near the
fireplace in the left room. (FP)
-- Character Token 3: Ron (Slytherin Disguise) - Locked inside the back desk
inside the right room. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Dark magic the giant ball near the (left) entrance. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Light up all 6 wall lamps in both rooms. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Obviously if you are caught in the House of Slytherin
and don't belong there, they do something mean to you, like put a hex on you
causing you to dance on a pile of glasses.  If you sweep out the fireplace and
then wave at the picture, you can save him from hurting himself. (SM)
-- True Wizard - And I thought all the studs were in Gringotts Bank! - Smash
up everything and you'll get this no problem. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 022: Ron (Slytherin Disguise)
-- Character Token 074: Vincent Crabbe
-- Character Token 076: Gregory Goyle
-- Gold Brick 033: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 034: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 035: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 036: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 09

**************************************************
*      YEAR 2/CHAPTER 4 - "TOM RIDDLE'S DIARY"   *
**************************************************

AREA 1: BATHROOM
-- Character Token 1: Moaning Myrtle - Dark magic the cabinet found in the
east. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - In the NW locked chest you can find a mop; hop on and mop
up the 5 puddles of water on the floor. (FP)

AREA 2: FIRST HALLWAY
-- Crest: Part 2 - Murder the 6 adorably innocent Suits Of Armor, Jr. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Apparently Ginny and Harry aren't the only ones who
read the diary; as this poor guy got sucked in too.  Use the Rune cabinet then
use the key to open another cabinet further to your left. (FP)

AREA 3: SECOND HALLWAY
***NOTE*** - At the end of the level, you have to use the Leviosa spell twice
on an archway.  Before you do it, continue further to your right to clean up
the rest of the level.
-- Character Token 2: Vocalist - Inside Griphook's Safe at the beginning of
the area. (FP)
-- Character Token 3: Professor Vector - Inside Griphook's Safe at the end of
the area. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Using Tom, you can blow up the chest that you pass in the
southwest corner. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Turn on all 3 radios (am I the only one who truly loves
this kitschy little tune?). (SM)
-- True Wizard - You can easily get this if you use Tom's stronger magic; just
be careful not to let too many studs fly away. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 044: Professor Vector
-- Character Token 120: Moaning Myrtle
-- Character Token 142: Vocalist
-- Gold Brick 037: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 038: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 039: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 040: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 10

**************************************************
*      YEAR 2/CHAPTER 5 - "FOLLOW THE SPIDERS"   *
**************************************************

AREA 1: STARTING PPOINT > THE LAKE
-- Crest: Part 1 - Blow up the metal grate you see on the northern side of the
lake and race one of the frogs through 4 posts. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 2a - Destroy 5 of the 10 metal pipes. (SM)

AREA 2: THE LAKE > HOLE IN THE GROUND
-- Character Token 1: Professor Sinistra - Inside the dark cabinet right past
the lake. (FP)
-- Character Token 2: Ron (Sweater) - Once you climb the ladder, head left and
go to the left-most jumpy thing to reach the Token. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2b - Destroy 5 of the 10 metal pipes. (SM)

AREA 3: BOSS BATTLE - ARAGOG
***NOTE*** - During this Boss Battle, you can prolong it indefinitely by NOT
tackling the black spiders.  As long as you leave the black spiders alone,
the brown ones come in an infinite quantity.  This is ideal for not only some
trophies (see below), but if you really feel like watching the studs fly,
come back in Free Play with all 5 multipliers turned on as well as the
"Character Studs".  You can get a ton of studs from killing the never-ending
flow of brown spiders.
-- Character Token 3: Lucius Malfoy - Inside a locked chest inside of this
"arena" (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Destroy the large dark magic ball. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Apparently you're not the first "Friend of Hagrid"
Aragog has dealt with because you will find your friend cocooned in the
southeast section (maybe he was trying to help you?).  (SM)
-- Trophy: Arachnophobic - You have to destroy 20 spiders using Ron.  This
Boss Battle is perfect for this trophy as well as the next two; again, as long
as you leave the black spiders alone. (SM)
-- Trophy: Good Dog - You have to defeat 20 enemies using Fang.  Well since
Aragog is attacking the "Friends of Hagrid", it's only fair that Fang defend
his friends, right? (FP)
-- Trophy: Muggle Trouble - You have to defeat 10 enemies using a Muggle.
Personally, I choose Vernon.  By this time, studs aren't an issue, so I let
Vernon die repeatedly because he's such a bad bad BAD man.  And this is his
punishment; being forced to fight his way to survival! (FP)

AREA 4: CAR CHASE (oddly enough, the only one unlike previous Lego games)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Destroy the 5 outhouses. (SM)
The first two are on the left side of the screen BEFORE the first cutscene.
The next two are on the right side of the screen.
You will then hop over a small cliff then a larger one.
The final one is immediately behind you after that larger cliff; turn around
and get it in the northwest section next to some great studs.
-- True Wizard - Even if you die a lot in the Boss Battle, you should still
make enough in this area to achieve True Wizard status especially if you
go after the 4th Crest. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 020: Ron (Sweater)
-- Character Token 043: Professor Sinistra
-- Character Token 110: Lucius Malfoy
-- Gold Brick 041: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 042: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 043: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 044: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 11
-- Trophy 02: Arachnophobic
-- Trophy 12: Good Dog
-- Trophy 16: Muggle Trouble

**************************************************
*         YEAR 2/CHAPTER 6 - "THE BASILISK"      *
**************************************************

AREA 1: BATHROOM
-- Student In Peril - Yup, I think this guy is having a gender identity
crisis.  He's in the wrong bathroom again.  And this time the Spider Legs
are holding him hostage as punishment.  Fortunately, you will free him
naturally during Story Mode. (SM)

AREA 2: UNDERGROUND
-- Character Token 1: Gilderoy Lockhart - Inside one of the two dark magic
chests covered in spider legs in the far west of the area. (FP)
-- Character Token 2: Wizard (Green) - Inside one of the two dark magic chests
covered in spider legs in the far west of the area. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Erect 4 skeletons throughout the area and then watch them
kill themselves. (One of the skeletons is very hard to find in Story Mode,
so if you miss it, just get it in Free Play.) (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Choose an animal and dig up the 4 digging spots. (FP)

AREA 3: BOSS BATTLE - BASILISK
***NOTE 1*** - I would suggest holding off on getting the collectibles until
the Basilisk is down to 1 heart.  After attacking him, Tom will move from
his location by the tube in the northwest.  You are now free to roam about
and get all the collectibles without being in imminent danger.
-- Character Token 3: Tom Riddle - Inside Griphook's Safe in the northeast
section. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Blow up the metal box in the southwest and erect a cuckoo
clock. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - From the debris caused by attacking the Basilisk (see
"Note 1" above), you can build 3 musical instruments. (SM)
-- True Wizard - If you used Professor Lockhart in the first two areas; you
were very close to achieving this before starting the battle.  Collect the
loose studs and you'll get it so you can focus on the fight itself. (SM)

FINISH STORY: CUTSCENES
-- Trophy: Crest Fanatic - You will receive this once you have collected all
24 House Crests throughout Year 2; if collected in order through Free Play,
you will get the trophy now. (FP)
-- Trophy: Senior - You will automatically receive this trophy once you have
completed all of Year 2's Story Mode chapters; probably after the very last
scene here. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 037: Gilderoy Lockhart
-- Character Token 111: Tom Riddle
-- Character Token 146: Wizard (Green)
-- Gold Brick 045: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 046: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 047: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 048: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 12
-- Trophy 08: Crest Fanatic
-- Trophy 25: Senior

**************************************************
*      YEAR 3/CHAPTER 1 - "NEWS FROM AZKABAN"    *
**************************************************

AREA 1: BOSS BATTLE - THE MONSTER BOOK OF MONSTERS

AREA 2: TRAIN STATION
-- Character Token 1: Stan Shunpike - Inside of a locked chest. (FP)
-- Character Token 2: Ernie Prang - Inside of a dark magic cabinet. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Destroy the 5 red suitcases lying around the ground. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Dig up the digging spot on top of the train. (SM)

AREA 3: TRAIN CAR 1 (WITHOUT LUPIN)
-- Character Token 3: Trolley Witch - Inside the dark magic protected
bathroom. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - What is this boy's obsession with bathrooms?  He's
trapped inside the same bathroom with the Trolley Witch.  I guess maybe he
is in peril after all. (FP)

AREA 4: TRAIN CAR 1 (WITH LUPIN)

AREA 5: TRAIN CAR 2 (WITH LUPIN)
-- Crest: Part 3a - Destroy 3 of the 5 humongous suitcases. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Climb the books moved to access the pipes. (SM)
-- True Wizard - One key to getting this early is to not rush through the
level.  In Area 3, do NOT use the key on Lupin's room until exploring all the
way to the right.  In Area 4, don't go straight ahead; backtrack to the left.
If you tackle each room individually, you will have plenty of studs by now.

AREA 6: TRAIN CAR 3 (WITH LUPIN)
-- Crest: Part 3b - Destroy 2 of the 5 humongous suitcases; just make sure
you do them before killing the 3 Dementors which ends the level. (SM)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 135: Stan Shunpike
-- Character Token 138: Ernie Prang
-- Character Token 149: Trolley Witch
-- Gold Brick 049: Level Complete
-- Gold Brick 050: True Wizard
-- Gold Brick 051: Student In Peril
-- Gold Brick 052: House Crest
-- Student In Peril 13

**************************************************
*          YEAR 3/CHAPTER 2 - "HOGSMEADE"        *
**************************************************

AREA 1: UNDERGROUND
-- Character Token 1: Crabbe (Sweater) - Destroy the large dark magic ball
you come across. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 1 - Destroy the 10 spiderwebs.  Two of them are very difficult
to find.  After moving the two plates and crossing over to the skinny
platform, turn around to see it.  After lowering the bridge with the weight,
look to the extreme southeast to see the other one. (SM)

AREA 2: CANDY SHOPPE
-- Character Token 2: Goyle (Sweater) - Why is there a fish tank in a candy
shoppe?  Destroy it. (FP)

AREA 3: HILL
-- Crest: Part 2 - Attack the 3 owls and then the snowman you can create. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 3 - Dig up the digging spot and ride the snow-bowling ball
down the hill and knock down the pins. (FP)

AREA 4: BOSS BATTLE - DRACO MALFOY

AREA 5: TOWN SQUARE
-- Character Token 3: Draco (Sweater) - In the southwest you will find a man
bouncing around with a token; keep attacking him and keep following him.
He will end up in the northeast where you can open up the basket and have
the snake scare him into dropping it. (FP)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Once the giant snowball rolls down to the southeast
corner, pull the strength bar to shoot Draco and company into space. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Apparently hide-n-seek is "perilous" in Hogsmeade.  He
is hiding behind a snowman in the southwest corner. (SM)
-- True Wizard - At the bottom of this guide, I am going to put a very crude
path that I took to 100% (contradicting what I wrote earlier in this guide).
You will get a multiplier before tackling this level, so True Wizard is no
longer an issue.

use dark magic on it. (FP)

end this part of the level; so do the other two first. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Clearly he hasn't gotten the memo, because animals are
NOT our friends.  At least not HIS friends since he's being terrorized by
the large wasps in the southwest corner. (SM)
-- True Wizard - If you're using your multiplier, you should get this. (SM)

AREA 3: FROZEN LAKE
-- Character Token 2: Cornelius Fudge - In the southeast section; break

-- Crest: Part 1 - Light and attack the 5 lanterns (for the last 4 you
have to melt the ice off of them first). (SM)
-- Student In Peril - It's a pity that only Harry knows the Expecto Patronum

unfairly tortured by this "neutral" bad guy. (FP)
-- True Wizard - If you're using your multiplier, you should get this. (SM)

AREA 2: INSIDE OF THE TOWER
-- Character Token 2: Lily Potter (Ghost) - Inside a locked chest at the

that little section, do NOT use the magic on the tent where the final
Weasley is hiding; go for the fire and the great studs first. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2 - Dark magic the tent door in the northeast. (FP)
-- Student In Peril - Yup, he's obsessed with bathrooms alright.  One guess
where he's hiding.  Inside the locked outhouse at the start of the level. (FP)

painting which only a House of Ravenclaw member can wave at. (FP)

AREA 3: DEATH EATERS and INDIANA JONES' FAVORITE "PETS"

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 059: Ginny (Hooded Top)

True Wizard happens almost instantaneously from here on out. (SM)

as you go inside. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 4 - Very visible in a northwest corner; as soon as you see it,
immediately grab it. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - Directly southeast of the 4th Crest is a cabinet which
is the hiding place of our very "heroic" friend.  Make sure as soon as you
get the Crest; free him before the dragon attacks you and places you further
ahead. (SM)
-- Trophy: Multiplier - You get this trophy the first time you hit 10 million
studs in one level.  If you follow my crude path at the end of this guide,
this will be the level you make that achievement first. (SM)

**************************************************
*       YEAR 4/CHAPTER 5 - "THE BLACK LAKE"      *
**************************************************

Yuck! - I absolutely HATE this level.  There are a few things I want to point
out here, so it's best to make a paragraph at the start.  The areas I used for
this guide are separated by those tubes; the ones which allow you to shift
"lanes".  The lanes will be noted as "front" or "back" if necessary.  If you
have any indicators, USE THEM! - The seashells you have to attack can be hard
to see, and this will assist you in finding them before progressing further.
Finally, when I talk about worm-eating squids, you first have to attack 2
worms and then attack the squids that eat them.  Note, that you will have to
shift lanes and go backwards (i.e. going forward in the back lane, then going
backwards in the front lane) to achieve some of these items.

AREA 1: STARTING POINT > TUBE SET #1
-- Character Token 1: Harry (Lake Task) - In the southwest corner of the front
lane hiding behind something. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 1a - Destroy 3 of the 9 seashells. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2a - Attack 2 of the 6 worm-eating squids. (SM)
-- True Wizard - With ALL multipliers; you'll get this instantaneously. (SM)

AREA 2: TUBE SET #1 > TUBE SET #2
-- Crest: Part 1b - Destroy 3 of the 9 seashells. (SM)
-- Student In Peril - So who does he belong to?  Fleur?  Viktor?  You see the
man on the boat?  Give him his oars and then magic him away so that your
friend can come out from underneath it. (SM)

AREA 3: TUBE SET #2 > TUBE SET #3
-- Crest: Part 1c - Destroy 2 of the 9 seashells. (SM)

AREA 4: TUBE SET #3 > BUILD THE FISH
-- Crest: Part 1d - Destroy 1 of the 9 seashells. (SM)
-- Crest: Part 2b - Attack 2 of the 6 worm-eating squids. (SM)

AREA 5: SPLIT LEVEL
-- Character Token 2: Guitarist - In a chest in the southwest immediately
upon entering this area. (SM)

diagonals to clean away the ink. (SM)

AREA 6: RESCUE THE FRIENDS
-- Character Token 3 - Krum Shark - In the back lane inside a chest near
the tube. (SM)

this BEFORE rescuing the 3rd and final friend. (SM)

AREA 4: BOSS BATTLE - LORD VOLDEMORT
-- Crest: Part 4 - Raise 3 skeletons in the graveyard. (Make sure you do this
BEFORE defeating what's-his-face). (SM)
-- Trophy: Role Reversal - To earn this trophy, you have to successfully kill
Harry as Lord Voldemort.  Apparently you can do this anywhere on this level;
but why not do it in the graveyard.  Enter Free Play once you have 100% and

Killing Curse away - voila - the trophy is yours. (FP)

*          DIAGON/HOGWARTS HUBS - CHAPTER AND COLLECTIBLES GUIDE             *
*                                                                            *
******************************************************************************

While creating this guide, I have noticed many people complaining online about
a lack of a good map.  Well keep griping, because I don't have one.  To me,
the Hubs in this Lego game are phenomenal; but ridiculously huge and quite
easy to get lost.  I have done my absolute best to list every single section
of the Hubs in a way that would be obvious if you were just wandering around
on your own.

I have taken the Hubs and broken it down to seven larger main areas.  Each
area will then list every single path and sub-path from there possible; and
will be labeled as a section.  Each section will be as unique as possible;</pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
so that no two areas can be mistaken for each other.  Furthermore, as in the
Story chapter section above; there will be a checklist of everything that can
be found within each section.

I already suggested that whenever you are done with a chapter of the story and
are given the option to return to the Hogwarts Hub, do so.  You will have the
opportunity to learn all your magics which are necessary in playing the game.
As long as you are still in Story Mode and have not defeated Lord Voldemort
in the "Goblet Of Fire" graveyard, Nearly Headless Nick will ALWAYS lead you
to where you are going to continue the story and you never have to worry about
getting lost.

At the very end of this guide, I have given a crude "path" that I had taken
to achieve 100% (contrary to what I said at the start of this guide).  There
are plenty of collectibles throughout Hogwarts; some of which can be obtained
easily; while others aren't possible until certain conditions are met.  In
this suggested "path" I will only emphasize certain stops.  The Red Bricks are
the most important things to find for most people, so in this "path", I will
suggest when the best time to get it is.  Actually, I keep talking about this
"path" but haven't written it yet, so I should probably stop saying "I won't"
or "I will" and wait 'til the end and see what I actually do... huh?

OK... let the map begin.  If anyone has a better suggestion for presenting
this in a neater way; by all means, I'm open for suggestions.  For now, I
think this is as good as can be done in a text-only context.

SECTION 05: WISEACRE'S WIZARDING SUPPLIES

1st Floor - This is where you can buy up to 18 various "fun" magic spells.  I
would recommend not buying them until you have at least 20 million studs.
2nd Floor - For the lazy players, here is where you enter the cheat codes.  No
they do not affect trophies, but I am not going to supply them to you! Ha!

CHECKLIST:
-- Trophy 06: Chilled Out - You need to freeze 20 characters using the
Glacius spell (one of the magics you buy at Wiseacre's).  I would recommend
not buying ANY of the spells (or the Gold Bricks at Eeylops) until you have
at least 20 million studs because the total cost of everything is quite high.
Once you do decide to go shopping, buy the Glacius spell first and get the
trophy BEFORE you buy the rest of the spells.  The more spells you purchase,
the more spells that rotate on your magic hub which means it takes longer
for the Glacius spell to kick in.  Once you have the spell, start attacking
everyone in Diagon Alley or even return to Hogwarts Hub if you want.  Once
you have frozen enough, you will get the trophy and then it will be safer to
purchase the rest of the magics here.

SECTION 06: GRINGOTTS BANK VAULTS
Vaults - This is the only place you can go during Free Roam.  There are 10
vaults; easiest to hardest from left to right.  I would recommend not
doing these Bonus levels until you have unlocked at least one member of
each House of Hogwarts (or Professor Dumbledore).

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 114 - Complete Bonus Level 1
-- Gold Brick 115 - Complete Bonus Level 2
-- Gold Brick 116 - Complete Bonus Level 3
-- Gold Brick 117 - Complete Bonus Level 4
-- Gold Brick 118 - Complete Bonus Level 5
-- Gold Brick 119 - Complete Bonus Level 6
-- Gold Brick 120 - Complete Bonus Level 7
-- Gold Brick 121 - Complete Bonus Level 8
-- Gold Brick 122 - Complete Bonus Level 9
-- Gold Brick 123 - Complete Bonus Level 10
-- Trophy 05: Building Blocks - You earn this trophy for completing all 4
Lego Builder Tutorial Levels.  You will find these in the 2nd through 5th
Bonus Levels you find.  I would recommend NOT doing these until AFTER you
have completed all 10 Bonus Levels first; as your cheats get turned off and
you will want the cheats ON when you do those levels.  Fortunately these
Tutorials are very easy and you aren't required to actually do more than the
tutorials for trophies unlike Lego: Indiana Jones 2.

SECTION 07: KNOCKTURN ALLEY

Northern Exit - This leads you back to Diagon Alley.
Southwestern Exit - This leads you to Borgin And Burkes.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 113: Igor Karkaroff - Located on the overpath that you
walk underneath.
-- Character Token 116: The Bloody Baron - South of the overpath is a cart;
get on the cart and have the second character attack it to fly you up.
-- Character Token 148: Shift Wizard - In the southwest is a table; get on
that and have the second character attack it to fly you up.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 08: BORGIN AND BURKES

1st Floor - Once all 200 Gold Bricks are found; build the entrance to the
"Ultimate Final Level".

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 108: Lord Voldemort - After you have build this Final
Level, enter it and once you've completed it, you will unlock this very bad
man (don't forget to purchase it, since you'll need it for trophies).
-- Gold Brick 124 - Hiding behind a table in the northeast corner.

**************************************************
*            AREA 2 - MOVING STAIRWELL           *
**************************************************

Depending on from where you enter the Hogwarts Hub, you can start from very
different locations.  If entering the Hub directly from the end of a Story
Chapter, you will ALWAYS start from the entrance (or exit) of that Story's
location in the hub.  If you enter the Hub from The Leaky Cauldron (because
you went to Diagon Alley to make a purchase), you might not return to the
place where you last left; but usually will return to where the last major
auto-save was.  Usually.  I kid you not, this is one of the more "bad
programming writing" I have seen in this game.  All it means is that you might
have to journey a little further once you return to the hub that's all.

With each Area, just like the Diagon Alley one, I will list each exit as a
separate section.  There ARE some exits throughout the Hub that is NEVER
accessible and are used strictly for entrances to chapters within the game.
Those exits will be marked as (SM: #/#), meaning Story Mode, Year and
Chapter numbers.

If you see the word (PAST), then that means you must use the Time-Turner to
go back in time.  There are different collectibles in some locations; so you
must look in the present (not indicated since it's presumed you are in the
present) AND in the past.  I think I have noted all collectibles in the past;
if not, I will correct them in my next update.

SECTION 09: MOVING STAIRWELL

Top Exit (Statue) - This leads you to Professor Dumbledore's Office.
2nd Top Exit (Blue Door) - This leads you to the Muggles Artifacts Room.
Middle Exit (Brown Door) - This leads you to Fluffy's Room. (SM: 1/6)
2nd Lowest Exit (Hallway) - This leads you to AREA 3: COMMON ROOM HALLWAY.
Lowest Exit (Hallway) - This leads you to AREA 4: MAIN LOBBY.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 042: Professor Binns - In front of Dumbledore's office is
two candles; use one to light the other.
-- Character Token 048: Percy (Sweater) - In front of the Muggle Artifacts
door are two hard-to-see flowerpots.  Attack them to make the flowers bloom
and then attack the flowers to shoot them off into space.
-- Gold Brick 125: You have to play "Catch The Quaffle" with the paintings.
Once you find the painting with the Quidditch player holding the Quaffle, you
have to attack it.  Find the next painting with it and rinse and repeat.
Painting 1 - Between the Main Lobby and the Common Room Hallway.
Painting 2 - Between Dumbledore's Office and the Muggles Artifacts Room.
Painting 3 - Between the Muggles Artifacts Room and Fluffy's Room.
Painting 4 - At the very top of the stairs; attack the picture with the dog.
-- Gold Brick 126: Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 25 - Obviously Professor Dumbledore is tired of this crazy
fool getting himself into all heaps of trouble and personally cocooned him
at the top of the stairs.  Quick, free him before Dumbledore catches you.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 10: PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE'S OFFICE (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 026: Professor Dumbledore - In his office in the back of
the room; destroy the dark magic object.
-- Character Token 027: Professor Dumbledore (Grey) - Upstairs in the back
is a strength chain.  Pulling that releases a large solar system.  Destroy
the planets to free the Sorting Hat.  Attack the poor defenseless hat.
-- Character Token 119: Nearly Headless Nick - You will find a coatrack in
the southeast of the office.  Destroy the 3 bottles on top of it and wait a
few seconds.  I *think* this is all you need to do.
-- Gold Brick 127 - Inside of the locked chest.
-- Red Brick 13: Invincibility - You are about to do the single most cruelest
thing in the entire game.  Walk under Fawkes the Phoenix.  Yup, he just
exploded into a giant ball of flame.  Oh My God, you killed Fawkes... you
bastard! (But don't worry, he will rise again from the ashes thank goodness).
After murdering Dumbledore's pet, you will be rewarded with the Red Brick.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 11 - MUGGLES ARTIFACTS ROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 164: Dudley Dursley - Keep attacking the computer.
-- Character Token 166: Mrs. Mason - Attack the vacuum cleaner until it
flies out the window.
-- Character Token 167: Mr. Mason - Keep attacking the head(s) you see on
the front right table.
-- Gold Brick 128 - Find and capture the 3 rabbits until they end up inside
their spinning cages; the Weasley car will fly away releasing the Brick.
-- Red Brick 07: Score x6 - Keep attacking the printer and it will print out
the Red Brick.

**************************************************
*          AREA 3 - COMMON ROOM HALLWAY          *
**************************************************

This is where things get a little more complicated as the exits from the
main area have sub-exits within them.  I will try my best to make this as
clear as possible.  Please note that in order to fully access any of the
given Houses, you will need a student of such House (or Professor Dumbledore).

*************************
*************************

SECTION 12: COMMON ROOM HALLWAY

Left Exit - This leads to the House Of Slytherin.
2nd Left Exit - This leads to AREA 2: MOVING STAIRWELL.

House Of Gryffindor has 2; the others have 1 each).

*************************
*************************

SECTION 13: THE HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN DUNGEON

Upstairs Exit - This leads you to AREA 3: COMMON ROOM HALLWAY
Downstairs Exit - This leads you to the Common Room (House Of Slytherin
  Member required).

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 136: Rita Skeeter - Pull the 2 strength chains on either
side of the Common Room entrance to turn the fountain on.  Ride the stream
into the air.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 14: THE HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN COMMON ROOM

Left Exit - This leads you back to the Dungeon.
North/Central Exit - This leads you to the Bedroom.

-- Character Token 081: Slytherin Boy - Attack the painting you see as soon
as you enter the area and then attack the suitcase it spits out.
-- Character Token 082: Slytherin Girl - Light all 5 table lamps throughout
the area.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 15: THE HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN BEDROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 130 - I'm still unsure of what you have to do here.  You either
have to attack the northwest bed OR you have to attack the radio on the
northeast bed.  I do think, however, that the Gold Brick only appears once
you get three semi-naked boys to dance in the pool.  Can I become a member
of the House Of Slytherin?  It looks like fun He He.
-- Gold Brick 131 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 06: Score x4 - This Red Brick is right out in the open in the
southeast corner.
-- Student In Peril 26 - Well now we know why Harry didn't want to be in this
House.  Look what they do for fun in the bedroom.  Poor guy is trapped behind
the bookcase.  How rude.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 16: THE HOUSE OF GRYFFINDOR COMMON ROOM

From AREA 3 - COMMON ROOM HALLWAY - you will see a painting and must enter
as a member of the House Of Gryffindor first.

Northeast Exit - This leads you back to AREA 3 - COMMON ROOM HALLWAY.
Southwest Exit - This leads you to the Bedroom.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 068: Gryffindor Boy - Behind the couch with the sleeping
student is the token in half-sight.
-- Gold Brick 132 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 27 - Would you mind hitting the couch to wake that student
up?  Oh no, did the couch eat him?  Did the couch then spit him out all
broken?  How about you hit him while he's down; that should fix him.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 17: THE HOUSE OF GRYFFINDOR BEDROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 018: Ron (Hogwarts) -  Attack the chest in the southeast
corner of the room.
-- Character Token 046: Seamus Finnigan - (PAST) - Inside the locked suitcase
in the northeast corner.
-- Character Token 064: Dean Thomas - (PAST) - Inside the suitcase in the
west side of the room.
-- Gold Brick 133 - Destroy the tops of all 4 beds and hop on the one in the
northwest to reach it.
-- Gold Brick 134 - (PAST) - Found inside a chest in the northwest corner.
-- Red Brick 03: Fall Rescue - Remove the plant off the suitcase in the west
and find it hiding inside.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 18: THE HOUSE OF HUFFLEPUFF WAITING ROOM

Northwest Exit - This leads you to AREA 3 - COMMON ROOM HALLWAY.
Northeast Exit - This leads you to the Common Room (Hufflepuff Member
  required).

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 052: Neville Longbottom - Destroy the 3 Mandrake cases.
-- Gold Brick 135 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 28 - I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that sooner
or later we'd have to rescue him from a simple Mandrake.  Once you put the
Mandrake inside the basket, he'll be free.  To get into more trouble.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 19: THE HOUSE OF HUFFLEPUFF COMMON ROOM

East Exit - This leads you back to the Waiting Room.
West Exit - This leads you to the Bedroom.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 117: The Fat Friar - In the northwest corner, attack the
painting and it will spit out a cake.  Destroy the cake to find the surprise.
-- Gold Brick 136 - In the southeast corner, blast the lock and then serve
the cake to the painting above. (What is with Hufflepuff and cake?)
-- Gold Brick 137 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 29 - I'm still a little unsure as to what you need to do
to get the Student free.  He is inside of the fireplace (making sure it's
clean for Santa no less), and I know you have to destroy the plant inside
the fireplace; but I think you also have to attack the items on top of it too.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 20: THE HOUSE OF HUFFLEPUFF BEDROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 101: Hufflepuff Girl - Destroy the metal chest and build
the radio (Dancing along not required but always recommended for fun).
-- Red Brick 17: Christmas - Attack the plant in the middle of the room and
then destroy all of the breakable flowers to achieve a silly Red Brick.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 21: THE HOUSE OF RAVENCLAW OUTER WALKWAY

Northwest Exit - This leads you to AREA 3: COMMON ROOM HALLWAY
Northeast Exit - This leads you to the Common Room (Ravenclaw Member
  required).

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 086: Penelope Clearwater - Destroy the gate all the way on
the left near the entrance and build the telescope from the pieces.  (If you
walk into that hidden hallway, there's nothing to find there so don't worry).

*************************
*************************

SECTION 22: THE HOUSE OF RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM

Upstairs Northeast Exit - This leads you to the Outer Walkway.
Downstairs Northern Exit - This exit leads you to the Bedroom.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 160: Gabrielle Delacour - Attack the locked chest in the
upstairs middle section and wait for the Quaffle to stop flying around.
-- N/A - Before proceeding to Section 23; make sure you attack 3 yellow books
(of a total of 5) and get the onscreen count.
-- Red Brick 15: Hogwarts Crest Detector - As you smash up the room, you will
slowly accumulate pieces to build a giant black bird (presumably a Ravenclaw).
Assemble it and let it fly away.  It will poop out this Red Brick.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 23: THE HOUSE OF RAVENCLAW BEDROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 084: Padma (Ballgown) - Release the top of the leftmost
bed and then jump on it like a good student (or Death Eater if you choose).
-- Gold Brick 138 - Attack 2 yellow books which will be the final two needed
from the previous room.
-- Gold Brick 139 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 30 - What on Earth is that noise?  Why it's the delightful
sound of a red book burping.  On my goodness gracious me... the book is
burping.  Beat it up.  Show it some serious hurt and make the Student idolize
you for the rest of your stay at Hogwarts.

**************************************************
*               AREA 4 - MAIN LOBBY              *
**************************************************

Things are just getting even more fun mapping out the Hogwarts Hub as each
exit leads you to more sub-exits... but alas as the writer of this guide I
will do my best to help you navigate this place.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 24: MAIN LOBBY

Left Exit - This leads you to AREA 5: CLASSROOM LOBBY
Upstairs Left Exit - This leads you to Library Entrance.
Downstairs North Exit - This leads you to the Great Hall Lobby.
Upstairs Right Exit - This leads you to AREA 6: ENCLOSED PATHWAY
Right Exit - This leads you to AREA 2: MOVING STAIRWELL

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 140 - Attack 6 of the hovering candles; 5 are unlit and the
final one (above the Left Exit) is lit.
-- Gold Brick 141 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- N/A - There are 9 wall torches you need to light; but sadly this room only
has 6.  Make sure you get the "6 of 9" count on screen before moving on.
-- Student In Peril 31 - Remember the song "You Keep Me Hangin' On"?  I think
this Student is taking things too literally as he is seen hanging on alright.
To a bookcase in the southwest corner.  Attack the books and build a makeshift
staircase so you can reach him and help him down.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 25: LIBRARY ENTRANCE

Northwest Exit - This leads you back to AREA 4: MAIN LOBBY.
Southeast Exit - This leads you to the Main Library.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 089: Ravenclaw Girl - Attack the grate on the right side
of the room and build/attack the radio to get a semi-private show from 4
very talented skeletons.
-- Character Token 096: Susan Bones - Light the 3 torches on the eastern wall
and then attack them to set fire to the northeast painting which in turn will
react to the painting in the southwest.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 26: MAIN LIBRARY (dead-end)

Northern Exit - This leads to the Restricted Section (SM: 1/4) hence why I
am classifying this room as a dead-end.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 067: Alicia Spinnet - Hop on top of the book cart you
make in the northeast corner and ride it to collect the 5 pink books.
-- Character Token 128: Wizard (Red) - On the upper left section you have to
dark magic the shelf and then defeat 3 various Boggarts.
-- Gold Brick 142 - Attack the 3 wizard hats throughout the room.  Note that
once you have earned this Gold Brick, the Gold Brick indicator will STILL
point to the back left bookcase.  That's a programming error.
-- Gold Brick 143 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 14: Red Brick Indicator - In the northeast corner, put the 3
books in their proper place in the bookcase to earn this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 32 - Obviously this Student is a Year 1 pupil and hasn't
taken the Mandrake Handling class.  We should help him out but make sure
you put on some earmuffs (or an arrow in the head sometimes ha ha) and place
it inside the appropriate basket.
-- Trophy 22: Quiet Please! - At any time you are in this room, hit pause and
go into your Options menu.  Turn the music and the sound down to zero and
accept the changes.  Once the trophy kicks in, restore the volume back since
it's (in my opinion) a little more fun to play when you can hear the game.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 27: GREAT HALL LOBBY

Left Exit (Moving Statue) - This leads you to Hogsmeade. (SM: 3/2)
Northern Exit - This leads you to the Great Hall.
Right Exit - This leads you to the Bathrooms Hallway.
Southern Exit - This leads you back to AREA 4: MAIN LOBBY.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 001: Harry (Blue Shirt) - Hidden under the spiral staircase
leading up to the Bathrooms Hallway.  In Story Mode, if you return to
Hogwarts after each chapter you will get the Polyjuice Potion and turn into
Justin.  Stay that way as Nick will lead you hear and you can use him to
access this part of the Great Hall Lobby.
-- Character Token 128: Witch (White) - Dark magic the large object near the
Left Exit.
-- Gold Brick 144 - Attack the 4 House banners.  2 of them are at the top
of the stairwell at the southern exit.  The other 2 are flanking the Great
Hall entrance high up in the air (target your wand up to find them).
-- Gold Brick 145 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 33 - The House Of Slytherin students are really mean and
rotten (when they're not dancing semi-naked in the pool in the bedroom).  They
have hazed a freshman and hidden the Student inside the House banner which
you will get when going for Gold Brick 144 listed above.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 28: THE GREAT HALL (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 061: Colin Creevey - Destroy the metal container on the
teachers' table in the northeast.
-- Character Token 103: Molly Weasley - Destroy the metal container hidden
in the northwest corner.
-- Gold Brick 146 - There are 6 pairs of goblets sitting on all the tables
throughout the Great Hall.  Once you have attacked all 6, you need to build
a staircase using the metal plates on the northern end of the 3 right-most
tables so you can find this Brick in the air.
-- Gold Brick 147 - Given to you for learning the spell Expelliarmus.
-- Gold Brick 148 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 04: Character Studs - In the northwest corner near the metal
object hiding Super-Mom Molly Weasley is a turkey.  Attack it and follow the
trail of studs which then leads you to this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 34 - I wouldn't mind the fact that this Student keeps
getting himself in trouble with the spiders (he is cocooned on the upper
left wall), but inside the Great Hall where the students eat?  Isn't this
the responsibility of Filch to keep this place clean?  It's bad enough they
left owls fly in left and right as I would be afraid of eating dinner and
potentially getting Owl Poo as a condiment (don't get me started on the
completely NASTY looks of the Owlery).

*************************
*************************

SECTON 29: BATHROOMS HALLWAY

Downstairs Left Exit - This leads you back to the Great Hall Lobby.
Downstairs Left Bathroom - This leads you to the Girls' Bathroom. (SM: 2/3,
2/4, 2/6)
Downstairs Right Bathroom - This leads you to the Boys' Bathroom.
Upstairs Bathroom - This leads you to the Prefects' Bathroom. (SM: 4/4)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 16: Hermione (Cat) - Use the Rune cabinet and put together
the new pieces to build something just to attack that.
-- Gold Brick 149 - Near the Prefects' Bathroom is a giant wall maze.  Solve
the puzzle and a giant snail will pop up and slither away leaving you a
golden piece of poo (Yes, I like the "Animals Poo" cheat in Lego: Star Wars).

*************************
*************************

SECTION 30: BOYS' BATHROOM (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 035: Madam Hooch - In the southeast corner take the spray
paint and use it to paint a picture of Harry on the wall.
-- Gold Brick 150: Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 08: Score x8 - Assemble the 4 shower heads and turn them on to
earn this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 35 - Oh look.  Another bathroom, another saving of the
Student.  At least he's in the right bathroom this time.  Unfortunately after
you free him from the left toilet bowl in the northeast corner, he will just
wander around the bathroom.  I guess he'll go back to finishing his business
after you leave perhaps?

**************************************************
*            AREA 5 - CLASSROOM LOBBY            *
**************************************************

Probably the worst area in the entire game to map due to having seven
distinct exits.  I solemnly swear to be as accurate as possible.  By the way,
the abbreviations "D.A.D.A." will refer to the Defense Against The Dark Arts.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 31: CLASSROOM LOBBY
Exit 1 (Southwest) - This leads to the Charms Classroom Hallway.
Exit 2 (Directly North of Exit 1) - This leads to AREA 4: MAIN LOBBY.
Exit 3 (Upstairs and Above Exit 2) - This leads to the D.A.D.A. Classroom #1.
Exit 4 (Top of the left stairwell) - This leads to the D.A.D.A. Classroom #2
Exit 5 (North) - This leads to the Potions Classroom.
Exit 6 (Top of the right stairwell) - This leads to the Transfiguration
  Classroom.
Exit 7 (Southeast) - This exit leads to the Divination Classroom Courtyard.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 066: Lee Jordan - Attack the 3 yellow statues in the
upper right section.
-- Character Token 069: Gryffindor Girl - In the southwest you will find a
bouncing boy holding the Token.  Keep attacking him and following him until
he is near the northern exit.  Attack the basket with the snake and scare him.
-- Character Token 079: Millicent Bulstrode - Use dark magic to destroy the
giant object between the two D.A.D.A. classroom exits.
-- Character Token 097: Ernie Macmillan - Destroy the 6 Mandrake cases which
can all be found along the left and up towards the D.A.D.A. classrooms.
-- Character Token 098: Hannah Abbott - Light up the 8 wall torches
throughout this section (can't all be done upon initial entry to this area).
-- Gold Brick 151 - Near Exit 3 (D.A.D.A. #2) is a giant "H" on the wall (is
it "Harry" or "Hogwarts"?).  Destroy the metal part and complete the pipe.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 32: CHARMS CLASSROOM HALLWAY

Left Doorway - This leads you to the Left Charms Classroom.
Right Doorway - This leads you to the Right Charms Classroom.
Right Exit - This exit leads you back to AREA 5: CLASSROOM LOBBY.

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 152 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 36 - I don't know why, but this is probably the saddest
situation of all of them.  His apple is on a shelf and he can't reach it.
No sarcastic remarks; no witty comments.  Help him out will you because I
think an apple a day keeps the Dementors away.  I just couldn't do it huh?

*************************
*************************

SECTION 33: LEFT CHARMS CLASSROOM

Northern Exit - This leads you back to the Charms Classroom Hallway.
Western "Hole" - This leads you to the infamous "Dungeon Of Doom".

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 140: Boy - On the upper level; rearrange the books in
the middle bookcase four times.
-- Gold Brick 153 - Given to you for learning the spell Wingardium Leviosa.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 34: LEFT CHARMS CLASSROOM DUNGEON (dead-end)

At the time of this guide there have been too many accounts of players getting
stuck down here due to a nasty glitch in the programming.  There are several
methods to get out; but I have found a method that causes the glitch NEVER
to happen.  Follow these directions closely.

1. Make sure you save your game and make at least one BACK UP FILE on your
game system (I have 3 users on my PS3, so I make sure each user has a copy
of the save in case something goes wrong).
2. In AREA 5: CLASSROOM LOBBY - use the Cauldron with the Polyjuice Potion and
turn Ron into a dark magic user (I prefer Barty Crouch Junior).  That still
leaves you Harry and Hermione.
3. Head towards the dungeon controlling Harry and once in the classroom, use
Harry's Reducto spell to access the dungeon.
4. Once in the dungeon do NOT do anything but head halfway down to your right
and destroy the two giant balls.
5. You will then take the pieces and construct the dragon's head and arm.
6. The Token for Mad-Eye Moody will pop up behind you.  Do NOT take it.  (Make
sure when you build the dragon together you are as close to the back as
possible).
7. Make sure there is NO floating Harry head in the lower left corner (the
icon for auto-save).
8. Jump on the dragon's head and you should be thrown out into the classroom
above (and earn a Gold Brick).

If you have followed all 8 steps the way I state them and you are one Gold
Brick heavier and are back in the classroom above... it is now safe for you
to go back down to the basement.  You will need the other two characters to
complete everything.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 032: Mad-Eye Moody - Right in the open as soon as you
correctly assemble the dragon.
-- Gold Brick 154 - You automatically receive this Brick once the dragon has
successfully thrown you to the classroom above.
-- Gold Brick 155 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- N/A - There's a Rune cabinet down here (hence why I had you switch Ron
instead of Hermione).  Just some studs to be found.
-- Red Brick 12: Extra hearts - Dark magic the giant ball at the far right
end to receive the Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 37 - Clearly he got stuck with the "Basement Of Doom"
glitch and has been down here for so long that he died and was cocooned.
Fortunately this IS Hogwarts so once you free him, he will be given an
invisible bottle of elixir and be born anew... hooray!

you make it to the end of the area.
-- Character Token 070: Draco Malfoy - Given to you once you destroy and

*************************

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 031: Professor Snape - Inside a chest on the far left
side of the upper ledge area.
-- Gold Brick 169 - This is located on the upper ledge area behind an ageing
line.  There are two ways to get this.  The "proper" way is to have a
character drink the Ageing Potion in the previous room and run to the Gold
Brick. (Actually once you drink the Potion, switch to the other character and
run to the next room to shave off a few seconds).  Or.  If you have already
unlocked Professor Dumbledore (or any other "old" character), just use the
Cauldron with the Polyjuice Potion in this room and take your time.
-- Red Brick 09: Score x10 - Rearrange the Lego pieces to form stairs going
upwards to the right to reach the very best of the Red Bricks.

*************************
*************************

northeast corner of the room.
-- Gold Brick 172 - Given to you for learning the ability "Divination" (but
you never actually use this in the game so it's just cool to see the room).

**************************************************
*            AREA 6 - ENCLOSED PATHWAY           *
**************************************************

This area is actually one of the easiest ones to describe as it's point A to
point B to point C.  Don't worry we're nowhere near the end of this section
yet ha ha ha.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 47: ENCLOSED PATHWAY

Left Exit - This leads you to AREA 7: CLOCK TOWER COURTYARD.
2nd Left Exit - This leads you to AREA 4: MAIN LOBBY.

Right Exit - This leads you to the Mini-Courtyard.

-- Character Token 039: Madam Pince - There are 3 wall plaques that you need
to flip around.
-- Character Token 127: Doris Crockford.  Back in SECTION 24, you were
instructed to light 6 out of 9 wall torches.  The other 3 are here.  The
one nearest the right exit will probably be the last torch you will light.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 48: MINI-COURTYARD

Left Exit - This leads you to AREA 6 - ENCLOSED PATHWAY.
Right Exit - This leads you to the Bridge.

*************************

Northeast Exit - This leads you to Hagrid's Hut. (SM: 1/5, 2/5, 3/4, 4/2)

Southeast Exit - This leads you to the Lake.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 047: Percy Weasley - Remove the 4 carrots from the ground.
-- Character Token 060: Ginny (Cardigan) - More pixies?  Kill them please.
They are protecting a rocket and a flying pumpkin.  Shoot the rocket and fly
the pumpkin.
-- Character Token 093: Cedric (Lake Task) - Another rocket to shoot up into
space; this time protected by white metal.
-- Character Token 156: Viktor Krum - Yet another rocket, this time it
requires dark magic to shoot it up.
-- Gold Brick 173 - In the southwest section are 3 metal statues; the goal is
to have them all standing tall and to clean up the dust off of each of them.
-- Gold Brick 174 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 20: Fast Dig - On the path towards the Quidditch Field is a pile
of clouds; make them and use your magic to create 4 flower patches.  Destroy
those flower patches to earn this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 40 - Oh look... he's stuck in Devil's Snare yet again
(near Hagrid's Garden).  I say, screw it and just leave him.  Oh wait, you
need the Gold Brick.  Dang it.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 51: QUIDDITCH FIELD (dead-end)

Northern Exit - This leads you to the actual Quidditch Field. (SM: ??, ??)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 045: Katie Bell - Open up the 5 red-colored flags.
-- Character Token 055: George (Quidditch) - (PAST) - Near the concession
stand, dig up the clouds and destroy the flower patches they create.
-- Character Token 083: Padma Patil - Open up the 4 green-colored flags.
-- Character Token 088: Ravenclaw Boy - Dig up the 4 flowers near the
concession stand.  As soon as you dig up the last one, immediately go to the
front of the line because the stand will spit out a LOT of studs!
-- Gold Brick 175 - (PAST) - Conduct the instruments inside the gazebo.
-- Gold Brick 176 - Release the Quaffle on the top of the tent.
-- Gold Brick 177 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Gold Brick 178 - (PAST) - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 10: Stud Magnet - (PAST) - In the northeast corner you will find
a large block of ice; chisel it away to reveal the Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 41 - He really wanted a great view of the Gryffindor
Quidditch team, so he climbed up to the billboard on the left.  Pity he can't
come down until you open up the trampoline and help him down.
-- Student In Peril 42 - (PAST) - OK how far are we in the past, because it
seems like this Student has been getting himself in sticky situations for a
very long time.  He's trapped inside the metal chest near the tent.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 52: HAGRID'S GARDEN (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 021: Ron (Brown Jacket) - Destroy the 3 sets of pipes.
-- Character Token 036: Gilderoy Lockhart (Green Jacket) - (PAST) - On the
west side of the garden, manipulate the axe to cup up the tree stump.
-- Character Token 125: Amos Diggory - Defeat the Boggart chest.
-- Character Token 163: Petunia Dursley - (PAST) - Underneath the northeast
digging spot.
-- Gold Brick 179 - Given to you for learning the ability Buckbeak Handling.
-- Gold Brick 180 - (PAST) - Smash everything up until you hatch a dragon's
egg (I guess I was too lazy to write down the exact how-to-do-it sorry)
-- Gold Brick 181 - You have to build (I think) a giant salt shaker to stop
Ron from throwing up slugs; once you've done that, the Gold Brick will be
above (I think) the cooking pot.
-- Gold Brick 182 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Gold Brick 183 - (PAST) - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 43 - This one's a kicker.  You can find him inside the
picnic basket.  Near the cooking pot after stuff has been smashed up is a
silver pumpkin.  Attack the pumpkin and it will grab the basket and fly it
off into space.  This helps him, how?
-- Student In Peril 44 - (PAST) - So the Student apparently getting tired of
being attacked by plants and wildlife decided to take a stroll in Hagrid's
Garden.  That was the last anyone ever saw of him.  Oh wait, there he is...
in the southeast corner.  There is a pumpkin sitting on him.  Just what
exactly did he do this time?  Oh I'm sure I don't want to know.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 53: THE LAKE (dead-end)

Northeast Exit - This leads you to The Black Lake. (SM: 4/5)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 024: Ron (Tuxedo) - Find this at the end of the dock.
-- Character Token 144: Bassist - Magical "Whack-A-Mole".  Find him and defeat
him.  Rinse and repeat 3 more times until the Token shows up.
-- Gold Brick 184 - Some things are a guarantee.  If you see a bathroom, the
Student In Peril is there.  If you see water, you will be racing a frog.  This
time you have to race one through 7 goals.
-- Gold Brick 185 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 45 - Oh now what?  Oh, magic the dock together so he can
run free.  And get stuck somewhere else no doubt (since we still have a
whole other section of the school to cover)!

**************************************************
*         AREA 7 - CLOCK TOWER COURTYARD         *
**************************************************

Finally! The last Area of the Hogwarts Hub.  Please note that the exits are
in mirror-order of each other so for each exit on one side, there will be
an exact opposite one on the other side.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 54: CLOCK TOWER COURTYARD

East Exit - This leads you to AREA 6: ENCLOSED PATHWAY.
Northeast Exit (NOT in visible sight) - This exit leads you to the
  Divination Classroom Courtyard.</pre><pre id="faqspan-4">
Central Northeast Exit (in plain sight) - This leads you to the Clock Tower.
North Exit - This leads you to the Owlery Courtyard.
Central Northwest Exit - This leads you to the Hospital Ward. (SM: 3/5)
Northwest Exit - This exit is NEVER USED in the game... ever.
West Exit - This exit leads you to the Herbology Courtyard.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 087: Ravenclaw Prefect - Destroy the metal in the fountain
and ride the plunger through 5 puddles of goo.  (The metal only appears after
getting the Red Brick in this section).
-- Character Token 100: Hufflepuff Boy - Destroy the 5 Mandrake cases.
-- Gold Brick 186 - Next to Hedwig's perch is a dark magic statue.  Destroying
that will place a diamond foundation of studs in the air (a purple surrounded
by 4 blue ones I believe).  Fly through that to make another one appear.  You
need to fly through all 10 to make the Brick appear.
-- Gold Brick 187 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 18: Collect Ghost Studs - This will be the first Red Brick you
get allowing you to stock up studs pretty early in the game before you reach
any multipliers.  Destroy the 4 gargoyles surrounding the fountain to earn
you this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 46 - I know I've been giving this poor Student a hard time
but it really has been in all good fun; but now I'm getting pissed off.  And
not at him.  There are 3 mean bullies beating up on him and that's not right.
Kick their sorry butts and rescue the Student... there's a nice shiny Gold
Brick in it for you if you do!
-- Trophy 35: Watch Out! - To earn this trophy you have to run over 10
characters with a rideable object.  You'll get a plunger while earning the
aforementioned Red Brick.  Take a ride and start running people over (just
not the Student In Peril, OK... he's been through enough).  After 10 people
have been bamboozled, the trophy is yours.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 55: CLOCK TOWER
-- Character Token 134: Madam Rosmerta - (PAST) - Inside the Rune cabinet.
-- Character Token 162: Vernon Dursley - After earning the Gold Brick for
doing the snake puzzle; you will see a snake tail in the northwest wall.
Destroy the tail to find Vernon hiding in a mousetrap like the worm he is.
-- Character Token 165: Milkman - (PAST) - Right out in the open.
-- Gold Brick 188 - (PAST) - After smashing up the room; build the two giant
clock hands and manipulate them to match the colors on the outer perimeter.
A scene will play out with a cat and mouse with the Brick being the cheese.
-- Gold Brick 189 - Parseltongue the snake to watch a series of events which
will earn you the Brick.
-- Gold Brick 190 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 05: Score x2 - Place the 4 mini-clocks on the appropriate stands
to earn this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 47 - Just when we stood up for him, and his rights to be
left alone in peace, he goes and gets his crazy butt cocooned again.  Really,
couldn't he have a different problem like being stuck on the clock?  Or the
Pixies holding on to him by his collar? (See, TT? I just came up with two
unique ideas you didn't - I should write the sequel!)

*************************
*************************

SECTION 56: OWLERY COURTYARD

East Exit - This leads you back to AREA 7: CLOCK TOWER COURTYARD.
North Exit - This leads you to the Owlery Pathway which then leads you
directly to the Owlery (there is nothing to be done on the pathway so
keep passing through as I don't have it listed separately).

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 065: Angelina Johnson - Attack the 10 pre-lit torches that
flank the perimeter of the courtyard.
-- Character Token 080: Slytherin Prefect - Dark magic the object in the
northeast and use the water can to make the flower grow; jump up.
-- Character Token 099: Hufflepuff Prefect - There are Pixies left alive?
Murder them! After that, reward yourself by building the Lego pieces into
a staircase so you can reach this Token.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 57: OWLERY DOWNSTAIRS

West Exit - This leads you back to the Owlery Pathway (which there is nothing
to do there except stare at the painting (see Owlery Upstairs)) which in
turn leads to the Owlery Courtyard.
North Exit - This leads you to Owlery Upstairs.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 015: Hermione (Grey Hooded Top) - You will make a ramp on
the eastern wall; climb on up and jump to reach the Token.
-- Character Token 126: Barty Crouch Senior - (PAST) - Use the horse plunger
and mop up the 5 puddles of... um... Owl Poo. (Yes, this place is NASTY!)
-- Gold Brick 191 - (PAST) - Place the 3 mailboxes in their correct
cubbyholes in the northeastern wall.
-- Gold Brick 192 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Gold Brick 193 - (PAST) - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Student In Peril 48 - If I were a Student In Peril and I was afraid of
getting Owl Poo in my hair, where would I hide?  Ah yes of course.  On the
north side are two owls holding a scroll; attack them to find our mystery boy.
-- Student In Peril 49 - (PAST) - Is the Owlery notorious for playing hide-n-
seek I wonder cause if so, he's not doing a good job.  You can clearly find
him hiding inside the bird bath.  Or rather stuck in it.  Yeah you better help
him out before his head gets covered in... must I say it again... Owl Poo!

*************************
*************************

SECTION 58: OWLERY UPSTAIRS (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 012: Hermione (Hogwarts) - (PAST) - Assemble the record
player.
-- Character Token 085: Cho Chang - Play the 3 records on the record player.
I have personally seen this game get funky trying this.  I would recommend
getting the record out of the right most dresser drawers FIRST.  Once you
are able to do that and play it, THEN go for the other 2 records.
-- Gold Brick 194 - Can be found in the middle chest on the back wall after...
I honestly don't remember but I'm sure it has something to do with making
the painting sneeze and fall down (which is the only thing you'll see in the
Owlery Pathway which becomes a red herring afterwards).  I will have to do an
update to this guide, but I believe it is in the present.
-- Red Brick 16: Gold Brick Detector - (PAST) -  Assemble the movie projector
and then pull the Red Brick right off the screen.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 59: HERBOLOGY COURTYARD

East Exit - This leads you back to AREA 7: CLOCK TOWER COURTYARD.
West Exit - This leads you to the Flying Classroom.
North Exit - This leads you to the Herbology Classroom.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 60: FLYING CLASSROOM (dead-end)

-- Character Token 007: Harry (Quidditch) - Dig up the 5 animal digging spots.
-- Character Token 157: Viktor (Dragon Task) - Break the chest in the middle
of the field and fly through all the rings.
-- Gold Brick 195 - Given to you for learning the ability Broomstick Flying.
-- Gold Brick 196 - You earn this at the same time as the Viktor (Dragon Task)
Token - fly through the rings to make both items appear.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 61: HERBOLOGY CLASSROOM

East Exit - This leads you back to the Herbology Courtyard.
Northwest Exit - This leads you to the Herbology Pathway.

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 197 - Given to you for learning the ability Mandrake Handling.
-- Gold Brick 198 - During the Mandrake Handling class, this Brick is hovering
in the air.  Hop on the wardrobe and jump off to the left to reach it.
-- Gold Brick 199 - Given to you for learning the spell Lumos Solem.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 62: HERBOLOGY PATHWAY

Southwest Exit - This leads you back to the Herbology Classroom.
East Exit - This leads you to the Herbology Classroom #2.
North Exit - This leads you to the Herbology Classroom #3.

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 151: Fleur Delacour - Inside a locked chest on the left
side of the pathway.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 63: HERBOLOGY CLASSROOM #2 (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Gold Brick 200 - Given to you for saving the Student In Peril.
-- Red Brick 01: Singing Mandrake - Return all 3 Mandrakes back to their
baskets to earn this Red Brick.
-- Student In Peril 50 - And the very last time you'll save this Student is...
drum roll please... he's trapped inside of a cage in the lower level with a
Mandrake.  If you came in here with a strong character (i.e. Viktor), then
there is no need to make the Strength Potion; just cut to the chase and put
him AND US out of misery.

*************************
*************************

SECTION 64: HERBOLOGY CLASSROOM #3 (dead-end)

CHECKLIST:
-- Character Token 040: Professor Sprout - Destroy the 5 Mandrake cases.
-- Character Token 145: Drummer - Destroy the Boggart chest.

Due to the fact that I am not giving a fully-detailed guide as to how and when
to achieve everything, there are some trophies that are left over.  In my
next update I will be offering one way to get everything, and when I do, I
will place the rest of the trophies into their appropriate location in the
sections above.  Some of the trophies have more detailed notes than the ones
I gave at the top of this guide; more as a reminder to myself to see exactly
what needs to be done.

-- Trophy 01: Animagus - You have to unlock all the Animagi (and possibly
purchase them?) - Professor McGonagall, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black and Rita
Skeeter (and maybe Professor Lupin).
-- Trophy 03: Back In Time - You could earn this trophy in various places,
you'll get it the first time you use the Time-Turner.
-- Trophy 04: Boo! - Once you have purchased any of the Ghost characters, go
to the Hogwarts hub and scare 20 children.  Again, this could then be given
in any location in the Hub.
-- Trophy 09: Dark Wizards - You have to unlock all 3 versions of the Dark
Lord himself (Professor Quirrell/Voldemort - Tom Riddle - Lord Voldemort) - I
guess I can move this up to Borgin and Burkes or Madam Malkin's (depending
on whether you get it when unlocked or when purchased).
-- Trophy 11: Ghostly Treasure - Collect 500 ghost studs, but I'm not sure
if it counts BEFORE you get the Red Brick or not; so I'd have to play again
to see when it actually kicks in.
-- Trophy 18: Power Up! - You have to collect all 20 red bricks (but not sure
if you have to buy them too and/or whether or not the other 4 red bricks that
are there to begin with count at all).
-- Trophy 21: Quidditch Team - Buy all of the year 1 Gryffindor Quiddich
members.  This should be Harry (Quidditch) / Fred (Quidditch) / George
(Quidditch) / Oliver Wood / Alicia Spinnet / Angelina Johnson / Katie Bell.
-- Trophy 29: Student Rescue - Once you save all 50 of the Student(s) In
Peril, you get it - but since you could do them in ANY order, it's impossible
to pinpoint where you'd receive it.
-- Trophy 30: Teacher's Pet - I'm pretty sure you get this for completing all
the story-related lessons (therefore getting it after the Reducto class), but
not sure if the "extra" classes count (i.e. Divination, Transfiguration).  I
will have to test this out.
-- Trophy 31: The Bonus Level Is Yours - With all collectibles, you could get
the last one anywhere and therefore impossible for me to pinpoint a location.
-- Trophy 33: True Wizard (Platinum) - Get everything else and this is a piece
of cake.  Getting everything else... well that's half the fun!
-- Trophy 36: Wonderful Weasleys - Another one I have to test out - I believe
you have to only purchase the ORIGINAL versions of the Weasleys and not the
Tokens with alternative clothing - that would be Arthur / Molly / Ron / Fred /
George / Ginny / Percy
-- Trophy 37: You're The Best - Complete the game to 100% - I guess this
should be place under Borgin and Burkes since winning the Voldemort token
should be what gets you there unless you missed a Red Brick or a Student...
so scratch that thought actually.

*              SUGGESTED PATH TO OBTAINING 100% / PLATINUM                   *
*                                                                            *
******************************************************************************

At the beginning of this guide, I had decided not to include a "path" that I
had taken.  Most of that was due to a combination of laziness (I have redone
this Guide several times) and my sloppy notes.  However, there were times in
my Story Chapter section where I realized that I was basing things on Red
Bricks and therefore decided to include a very crude path of how I had gotten
100%.  Clearly you can do things in whichever order you like, and I do NOT
include everything in this path (i.e. - non important magics) - but only
include the Story Chapters and what you will normally receive between them
AND what I would recommend getting if Nick doesn't lead you that way on his
own.

This path will have the Story/Chapter listed.  Any thing listed directly
underneath will be done automatically or through lessons done while following
Nick.  If I want you to take a side path, it will be noted as such; just use
the detailed section above to pinpoint where to go.  In a future update, I
will be more specific in a path as I am thinking about doing this game at
least two more times with two other goals in mind.

1/1

(HERMIONE) ABILITY - RUNE CABINET (She starts with this)

(ALL) ABILITY - MANDRAKE HANDLING

3/2, 3/3

3/4, 3/5
(HERMIONE) ABILITY - TIME-TURNER (She gets this after 3/5)
RED BRICK - GOLD BRICK DETECTOR (Side path; get this now if you choose to)

3/6, 4/1
(ALL) CAULDRON BLUE - AGEING POTION
RED BRICK - STUD MAGNET (Side path; get this now if you choose to)

4/2
(ALL) YELLOW - REDUCTO

*** NOTE *** - With the Reducto spell under your belt, the entire game just
opened up to you.  Here is what I would recommend doing:

FREE PLAY - 1/1 - GOAL: GRIPHOOK (SAFE)
FREE PLAY - 4/1 - GOAL: BARTY CROUCH JR. (DARK MAGIC, AVADA KEDAVRA)
YOUR CHOICE - ? - STRONG CHARACTER (FANG DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK) - HAGRID/VIKTOR
RED BRICK - SCORE X10
RED BRICK - SCORE X8
RED BRICK - SCORE X6
RED BRICK - SCORE X4

You want to get Griphook for access to all the safes throughout the game.  You
WILL need a character with dark magic and I just recommend getting Barty since
he's easy to get.  You will also need a Strength Character.  Fang works but
NOT always (i.e. entering the House Of Slytherin from the Dungeon) - there is
an easy Viktor to get in the Flying Classroom for example.  Grab all 4
multipliers (obviously buy them and turn them on for a Score x3840!!!)

After that - you can just systematically go down the list in this guide or
play however you like

Don't forget to finish 4/3, 4/4, 4/5 and 4/6!!!
