Hello!  Welcome to probably my best FAQ/Walkthrough posted as of May 2003.  It
is for the classic Game Boy game, Kirby's Dream Land.  I have a bland Normal
Mode Walkthrough, but an extremely in-depth Extra Mode Walkthrough.  I hope
this guide will help you with your problems.  Good luck!!!

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
-=-   WHAT’S NEW  -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Version 2.1 - I added the FAQ section (June 7, 2003).

Version 2.0 - I changed some of the layout in the Appendices.  I added
difficulties for each level, mid-boss, and boss (May 21, 2003).

Version 1.8 - Finished the Extra Mode Walkthrough, Extra Mode Mid-Boss
section, and the Extra Mode Boss section (April 18, 2003).

Version 1.7 - Added the Extra Mode Walkthrough for Stages 3 and 4.
Added a Mid-Boss and Boss FAQ for the mid-bosses and
bosses of Stage 3 and Stage 4 on Extra Mode.  So, in
other words, I have everything in Extra Mode completed
up to Stage 5: Mt. Dedede.  That will be finished in the
next update.  Which I hope is very soon. (April 13, 2003)

Version 1.6 - Added Extra Mode walkthrough for Stage 2.  Added a Mid-
Boss and Boss FAQ for Stage 2 on Extra Mode.  Now up to
Stage 2 is completed on the Extra Mode walkthrough.  The
rest will soon be finished.  (Jan. 18, 2003)

Version 1.5 - Added the Extra Mode walkthrough for Stage 1.  The rest of
the Extra Mode walkthrough should be finished soon.  Added
a Mid-Boss and Boss FAQ section for Extra Mode.  I have it
completed up to Stage 1.  Will finish the rest soon.  Also
updated the Normal Mid-Boss and Boss FAQs sections.  Last
but not least, I added the ASCII art at the top of this
             document. (Jan. 7, 2003)

Version 1.1 - Updated contact information (Oct. 28, 2002)

Version 1.0 - First version (Aug. 12, 2002)

On a tiny star somewhere far, far away from earth, there is a very special
place known as Dream Land.  The Dream Landers are very happy people who use
their magical sparkling stars to play and work among the heavens.  That is
until on night when the gluttonous King Dedede and his rotten band of thieves
swooped down from neighboring Mt. Dedede for a midnight snack in Dream Land.
Not only did they steal all their food, but they stole the Dream Landers’
treasured Sparkling Stars as well.

Because the Dream Landers didn’t have the Sparkling Stars to gather food
anymore, they began to get very hungry.  Suddenly a spry little boy named
Kirby happened to come along and said "Don’t worry, I’ll get your food and
your Sparkling Stars back!"  With these words, Kirby set off on his quest
toward the dreaded Mt. Dedede.  We wish him luck!

and spit the enemy back at him.  When he swoops down at you
just get in one of the corners of the room and most of the
          time he won’t hit you.

After you defeat him, fall down and go left to get the leaf.  Then, go right.
When you reach a huge pile of blocks, spit through a row and go through.  When
you get through the blocks, float up to the top and go right.  Go down and
destroy the three enemies.  Then, go left and down.  Next, right and down.
Watch out, because there are spikes at the bottom.  Float right.  When you
can't go any further, float up.  When you can't float up any further, go
right.  Go in the door.  Go right, then up the steps.  Continue right.  Spit
through the row of blocks.  There is two holes that you have to jump over
while you do this.  When you get through go down to the door below and go in.
Then, float up until you reach another door and go in here.  Now you are at
the boss of stage 4.  It is a new and improved Kracko, but just as easy to
beat.

Kracko:           Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Normal
                 Stage 4 Boss

This is a new and improved Kracko.  He will still spit
Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos at you, but he will also
throw some fire in the middle of the screen.  So to
defeat Kracko, inhale a Waddle Dee or a Waddle Doo
when he throws them out.  Then, spit it back at him.

people of Dream Land are counting on you!
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

When you get to the big room, just float to one of the bosses faces. This is
just defeating the bosses all over again.  Defeat the four bosses.  Once you
defeat the four bosses, you can face King DeDeDe.  Float up to the middle
picture, with the face of King DeDeDe on it.

King DeDeDe:      Vitality Bars: ********** (10)

King DeDeDe will run around trying to hit you with his
mallet.  He will also try to inhale you and jump on
                 you.
When he jumps up and lands inhale the stars that comes
out and spit it at him.  Another way, is when he
runs at you with his mallet and tries to hit you, move
out of the way right before he slams the mallet.
Then, inhale the star that comes out and spit it back
                 at King Dedede.

Mid-Boss:           Poppy Bros. Sr.
Boss:               Whispy Woods

PREVIEW:
A great place to start your journey, this natural setting is full of rolling
hills, fleecy clouds, and bushy trees.  But don’t let the scenery distract you
because while the animals may look cute and friendly, they can be very
troublesome and dangerous.
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

Once you take control, go right.  Watch out for two Waddle Dees.  After you
finish them off, continue right.  You will soon meet up with two more Waddle
Dees.  But they aren’t alone.  There are two Tookeys with them.  Keep going
right.  Soon you will see another Waddle Dee and a Koozer.  After you destroy
them, go right. You will soon reach a wall you can’t jump over.  So push up
and float over it.  When you reach the other side you will notice a Blooper.
Inhale some air and spit the air at Blooper.
Continue going right.  Soon you will reach two more Bloopers and two Koozers.
They will be near a door with IN over top of it.  You can go through this door
to get two Pep Brews.  After you destroy the Bloopers and the Koozers, go
right.

Go up the stairs and jump over the gap.  Watch out on the other side because
there is a Tookey.  Go down the other stairs and kill the Koozer.  There
should be a Waddle Dee and a Poppy Bro. Jr. to the right of the Koozer.
Dismantle those and continue right.  Soon you will encounter another Waddle
Dee along with a Blooper and a Tookey.  As soon as you annihilate those
enemies go right.  Now, go up the stairs and kill the Tookey and Koozer that
is waiting for you.  Next, jump on the star.  This will take you to the mid-
boss, Poppy Bro. Sr.

Poppy Bro. Sr.: Vitality Bars: *** (3)
               Difficulty:  Normal
               Stage 1 Mid-Boss

The only difference between the Extra Mode and Normal
Mode.  Bomb Kid is that he throws more bombs at you and
               he throws them faster.
To defeat him, when he throws a bomb at you, you inhale
it and spit it out him.

Once he is defeated, go right.  There will be a Poppy Bro. on an apple which
you should kill.  Keep going right.  Soon you will encounter a Koozer and a
Blooper.  After you get past them, jump on the wall to your right.  There will
be a Waddle Dee and a Koozer awaiting your arrival.  Abolish the Waddle Dee
and Koozer and go right.  Soon you will collide with two Koozers, a Grizzo,
and a Waddle Dee.  Exterminate them and continue right.  You shall met up with
a Poppy Bro. Jr. and two Tookeys.  Kill them and keep going right.  You will
notice two more Koozers along with a Blooper.  Kill them and jump on the
raised portion of land.  Move the blocks that are on there by inhaling them.
Watch out because there will be a Koozer that flies down from one of the
trees.  After you go right some more, you will see a Poppy Bro. Jr. riding a
Grizzo.  I would advise you to dismantle them and then continue right.

Kirby will then meet up with Koozer, a Tookey, and a Blooper.  Kill them and
go right a little bit more.  You will see another Koozer and a Blooper.
Abolish them and keep going right.  Soon you will reach a door with IN above
it.  Beside this door is a Grizzo riding a Poppy Bro. Jr.  Go in the door.
Once Kirby is in, you should notice an enemy to your left.  Inhale it and spit
it back out.  After that, go right and jump on the platforms.  Once you jump
on the second platform, kill the Grizzo to your left, then go left.  Once you
can’t go left any farther, inhale some air and float up to the next platform.
Kill the Grizzo on this platform and go right, toward the middle of the
platform.  After your near the middle, inhale air to float up to the above
platform.  Extinguish the enemy and take a left.  Then float up to the
platform over Kirby.  Be careful not to run into the Tookey that is up there.
After that, kill the two enemies that are too Kirby’s right.

Then float up to the platform on the left.  Here you can get a Maxim Tomato by
inhaling the blocks.  Next, float up.  Once you float up, you will encounter
two Waddle Dees and a Tookey.  Kill them, then float up and go through the
door.  Go right and fall through the gap in the platform.  Then go left and do
the same thing.  After you reach the ground, you will see a tree to your
right.  This is the boss of Stage 1: Green Greens.  The boss is called Whispy
Woods.

Whispy Woods:     Vitality Bars: ****** (6)

This time Whispy Woods just doesn’t spit and drop
apples at you, but he will also drop Gordos on you.
He also spits more and faster.
To defeat him, inhale an apple when it falls from
above and spit it at him.

Once you have conquered Whispy Woods, jump up and grab the star.

/ Stage 2: Castle LoLoLo \______________________________________________

Level Difficulty:   Normal
Mid-Boss:           Lololo
Boss:               Lololo & Lalala

PREVIEW:
One step inside this spooky castle and you’ll know that something weird is
going on!  You’ll have to be careful here because some of the nasties that
float around here can’t be beat by inhaling them.  The not so famous twins
Lololo and Lalala rule this castle of gloom.
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

Once you have control of Kirby, a Broom Hatter will dive at you.  After that
go right and through the door.  Once you get in, there will be a Koozer,
Waddle Doo, and two Waddle Dees.  There will also be a Mike for you to get.
Get it and destroy all the enemies with it.  After all the enemies are dead,
go to the door in the upper right corner and go through it.

After you get in, there will be a Flipper and a Gaspar.  Go right.  You will
encounter another Flipper and Gaspar, along with a Broom Hatter.  Continue
right.  Once you go so far, you will see a door.  Go through it.  You should
then see a Mr. P. Umpkin to your right.  Go down the stairs and go right.  You
will attacked by Chuckies coming out of the "?" boxes.  Once you get to the
bottom, you will see another Mr. P. Umpkin.  Go to the right.  Soon you will
come to a door.  Upon reaching the door, go through it.

As soon as you get in the next room, you will notice two Glunks and two
Gordos.  Jump to the platform on the right.  Watch out for the Koozer that is
flying around.  Jump across to the next platform and then go down toward the
right.  Go between the three Glunks.  Once at the bottom, go to the left.
Beware of the Gordo going up and down.  After you get past it, jump up on the
platform and go through the door.

Once through the door, go to the left and float up.  Watch out for the Glunk
in the bottom right corner.  Float up and get the Candy that is to the right.
With the Candy kill the two Koozers that are floating up and down.  Once that
is accomplished, float up again.  There will be a Blatzy that will shoot
cannon balls at you.  Get past him a float on up to the top.  Once at the top,
you will see a Broom Hatter and a door.  Annihilate the Broom Hatter and go
through the door.  After you go through the door go right.  You will encounter
around four Gaspars and around four Skullers.  Soon you should come to a
Sparkling Star.  Jump on that to be taken to the Mid-Boss, Lololo.

Lololo:         Vitality Bars: *** (3)
               Difficulty:  Normal
               Stage 2 Mid-Boss

Lololo will come out of one of the doors.  He will kick
a block at you just like in Normal Mode.  But this time
Lololo will also kick a Gordo at you.
To defeat him, inhale one of his blocks he kicks at you.
When he kicks the Gordo at you, slightly press the jump
button so you don’t jump on the next platform.  When
Lololo tries to retreat, spit the block back at him.

After Lololo is defeated, go right and jump to the top of the stairs.  (If you
float to the door above you, you can get a Pep Brew and a Spicy Food.)  Go
down the other side of the stairs and go through the door.  Go up the steps.
You shall encounter four Broom Hatters and two Flippers.  Go up the stairs
until you get to the door.  Once you reach it, go through it.

Float up the platforms.  Go through the door at the very top.  But be careful
on your way to the door, because there are Flippers and Gordos that will try
to stop you.  Once through the door, you will see a Gaspar, two Waddle Dees,
and two Flippers.  Get rid of them and go up the stairs.  You will see a Broom
Hatter when you reach the top.  Kill it and go through the door.  This door
will take you to the Boss, Lololo & Lalala.

Lololo & Lalala:  Vitality Bars: ****** (6)

Lololo and Lalala will run at you with blocks.  In
Extra Mode, they are a whole lot faster, so becareful.
To defeat them, inhale one of their blocks and spit it
back at them.  I found it easier to stay on the second
platform and wait for Lololo or Lalala to come to that
platform.  Then I would inhale the block and get one
of the two parts that you could jump to the next
platform.  Once I got there, I would wait until the
got to me and then I would slightly tap the jump
button to jump over them, but not jump on the next
platform.  Once I landed, I would spit the block at
                 it.

Once you defeat them, jump on the Sparkling Star.

/ Stage 3: Float Islands \______________________________________________

Level Difficulty:   Hard
Mid-Boss:           None
Boss:               Kablooa

PREVIEW:
This may look like an island paradise lined with palm trees, but don’t expect
to have a relaxing time here!  You’ll have to watch your step as you island
hop here or you could end up falling in to the ocean.  Kaboola will have you
scrambling to dodge her constant attack of cannon balls.
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

Once gaining control of Kirby, go right.  You will come upon two Koozers and a
Flotzo.  Keep going right.  You will see another Flotzo and a Peezer.  Soon
you will come to a bomb.  Inhale the bomb and spit it out to kill the two
Waddle Dees and the Koozer.  Soon the land will come to an end.  You will have
to jump to the right unto an island.  There will be Blippers jumping out of
the water for the next little bit.  So, becareful.  To the right you will
notice another island.  On this small piece of land will be a Waddle Doo.  Get
rid of it, and jump onto the land.

Now, float across the next patch of water.  On the way to finding land, you
will meet some Blippers, a Blatzy, and a Koozer.  When you see the ground,
land on it.  There will be a Coner that sprints toward you.  Keep going right.
Watch out for a Koozer and a Flotzo.  You shall approach more water.  Float
across it, but watch out for Flotzoes and a Blatzy on the way.

After reaching the next part of island, inhale the Mike that is there and spit
it back out.  This should kill the Koozer, Waddle Dee, and Waddle Doo that
would have attempted to attack you.  Continue right (like always).  Soon, you
should notice a few coconuts hanging from four trees.  Be aware, because the
coconuts will fall from the branches and hit you.  After you walk past this
part, you will see three (3) Coners.  After eliminating them, keep going
right.  Keep going until you reach a door.  Once you reach the door, go in it.

A Kabu will come after you when you get inside the door.  Kill it however you
would like to.  After that, fall down the hole.  At the bottom, there will be
another Kabu.  Go toward the right.  When you cannot go right any further,
float up.  While floating up, stay to the left side because there will be a
coconut that falls on the right.  When you can't go up any more, go to the
patch of land on the right.  There will be a Kabu awaiting your arrival.
After he is taken care of, float downward.

When you reach the bottom, there should be a Gordo.  Go past it and continue
to float, over the spikes, to the right.  Land on the piece of land that you
will soon come to.  You won't be able to go any further for a few moments.
The reason being is there are two Gordos floating up and down, and there is a
wall blocking your way to continue right.  Inhale air and spit it at the
blocks until they are all gone except for the one at the bottom, which is kind
of hard to get.  Float in between the two Gordos and land on the area of
ground that you see.  Inhale some air to destroy the blocks that are, again,
blocking your path.  You will see a Peezer that needs to be killed for you to
safely continue right.  Dismantle it and bust the blocks that are to the right
of the Peezer.  Once that task is completed, fall of the edge of ground and go
down.  After reaching the bottom, you will notice a lot of blocks blocking the
way to the door on the left.  Inhale air and spit it at the blocks to take
them out.  Then, go in the door.

Once through, go right.  When you run out of land, float over until you reach
another strip of land.  Upon landing, you will see a "Spicy Food".  I would
advise you to take this item.  Watch out for the Flotzo and Blatzy that is on
the right.  Keep going right.  On your trip, you will go past two Floatzos, a
Blipper, two Koozers, and another Blatzy.  Those enemies will appear in that
order.  On the otherside of the Blatzy, lyou will encounter another Koozer,
two more Flotzos, and a Kabu.  Float over the wall that is beside the Kabu.

On the other end, there is a Blatzy.  Beside the Blatzy will be a Coner.  Keep
going right until you reach a door.  Be careful because beside the door is a
Blatzy that is spitting bombs in every direction.  Go through the door.

When you appear on the next side of the door, you will see a Warp Star.  Walk
over and jump on it.  This will take you up.  After you reach the clouds and
gain control of Kirby again, go right.  On the first cloud you see, there will
be a Kabu.  Below the Kabu, is a Coner.  After getting rid of those enemies,
stay right.  The second cloud you see will have another Kabu on it.  This is
the last enemy you will see on Stage 3 until you reach the boss, Kablooa.

Keep going right.  You will soon see a Mint Leaf.  Grab the Mint Leaf.  Now
Kirby will be pushed forwards, and Kablooa, the Stage 3 boss, will appear.

Kablooa:          Vitality Bars: ******** (8)
                 Difficulty:  Very Hard
                 Stage 3 Boss

Kablooa will nearly continuously spit bombs at you.
Sometimes, Kablooa will charge toward you and hit you with
its own body.  One of the only methods to defeat Kablooa
is to attempt to dodge its attacks and constantly spit air
at it.  This will eventually destroy Kablooa.  It may take a
few tries to defeat Kablooa, but don't get frustrated if you
don't succeed at beating him on your first try.

After beating Kablooa, grab the Warp Star that he releases.  Now you will be
taken to Stage 4: Bubble Clouds.

Level Difficulty:   Very Hard
Mid-Boss:           Kracko
Boss:               Kracko

PREVIEW:
You won’t find a clear path through these soft billowy clouds!  By hiding in
the clouds, King Dedede’s bullies will find a way to surprise you when you
least expect it.  The boss Kracko is lightning fast.  You’ll have to keep
moving and keep a clear head in order to beat him!
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

Upon gaining control of Kirby, go right.  A Waddle Doo will come after you.
When you reach an open spot, jump over.  Between the gap is a Benny and Gordo.
Keep going right, hoping over the break ups in the clouds.  Go past the
Blatzy.  Watch out for the Koozer that tries to attack you.  On the cloud
beside Blatzy is a Waddle Dee.

Jump past that Waddle Dee onto the tall, skinny cloud.  A Koozer will come
after you.  Jump across again.  there will be another Waddle Dee.  Kill it and
keep going right.  You will come to three Scarfies.  Inhale air by press the
"UP" button the D-Pad.  Spit the air at the Scarfies.  Do this until all three
are gone.

Then jump across the hole where the Scarfies were.  You will come to two more
Scarfies.  Kill them the same way as before.  To the right of the, you will
see a tall cloud that you have to float over.  At the top is a Whiskers
awaiting your arrival.  Once on top, you will see a large gap with a platform
on the right.  There are also two Whiskers swarming around.  Kill them and
float over.

Go right on this platform.  You will go past five Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos
floating down using umbrellas.  Watch out for the umbrellas because they will
shoot toward Kirby.  Keep going right.  Kirby will soon reach a Koozer and a
Blatzy.

Go by the Blatzy.  You will encounter two Bennyies and three Koozers.  They
are blocking your way to a door.  Destroy them and go inside the door.

When you get inside, a Boomer will come after you.  Go right.  On the first
platform you see will be a Boomer.  Below it is yet another Boomer.  The
second platform you come to will have a Waddle Doo on it.  A little to the
right of that playform will be another Waddle Doo.  Beside that Waddle Doo is
a lot of spikes that you will need to float over.

On the other side of the spikes is a Bommer.  Keep going right.  You will soon
meet up with two Cawcuns and three Koozers.  Beside them is a Waddle Dee and
two Scarfies.  Across from the Scarfies is another Waddle Dee.

Keep going right.  You will meet a Waddle Dee and two Koozers.  When you meet
the Koozers, you will notice that the platform has disappeared.  Float over to
the right until you reach some more clouds.  There will be a Boomer on the
cloud.  Kill it and go to the dor you see.  Go inside it.

Once through, you wills e a Waddle Dee walking around.  Go right.  When you
can't go right any further, float up.  Watch out for the two Whiskers.  Go
left when you reach the top of the cloud.  you will encounter a Benny.

When you are unable to go left any further, float up.  Go right.  You will
meet a Waddle Dee where you are walking at, which should be in a small space
between two clouds.  When lyou get out of the tight clouds, float upwards.
Watch out for the Whiskers that will try to attack you  Float up and right.
You will encounter a Gordo.  pay attentino to its pattern and get by him when
you think you have figured out his pattern.

After getting by the Gordo, you will see a Benny and Scarfy.  Inhale the Benny
and spit it at the Scarfy.  Above and to the right of where the Scarfy was, is
a Boomer.  Kill it and keep going right.  When you get to the door, go through
it.  This will take you to the mid-boss, Kracko.

Kracko:         Vitality Bars: *** (3)
               Difficulty:  Hard
               Stage 4 Mid-Boss

Kracko will swoop down toward you and drop a set of four
bombs that do not explode.  Then he will swoop down again and
drop four more bombs, but these explode.  This is his only way
of attacking, except for the swoop he does while dropping the
bombs.  To keep from getting hit by Kracko's swooping attack,
get as far in a corner as possible and duck down.
To defeat Kracko, you will have to inhale one of the exploding
bombs that he drops.  Kirby will have to inhale it before it
touches the ground and explodes.  Once inhaled, spit it back
               out toward Kracko.

After you defeat Kracko, jump into the Warp Star.  You will come down a
waterfall before regaining control of Kirby.  Go left and get the Mint Leaf.
Then go right.  When you come to a block wall, spit out the bottom row.  Get
the Maxim Tomato on the otherside of the wall, then float up.  When you can
go right, go right.  Go down into the area with the three Waddle Dees.
Terminate them some how, it doesn't matter how.  Go left after you have gotten
rid of the Waddle Dees.  Then fall down and go right.  At the next opening,
you will have to float down.  The reason being is becaue there is a spike pit
below.  Float right.  When you are unable to go right any further, float up.
You will come to a door and a Scarfy.  Kill the Scarfy and go through the
door.

Once through, continue right, get the Spicy Food, and destroy all of the
blocks that are in your way.  Try not to get hit by any falling stars, because
they will take away a portion of you health.  When you get through all of the
blocks, enter the door that you see.

After going through the door, advance upwards.  While floating up, you will
encounter (they will come in this order) a Boomer, two Waddle Dees with
umbrellas, a Koozer, two Waddle Doos with umbrellas, and another Waddle Dee
with an umbrella.  Be careful of the umbrellas because they will come after
you.  When you reach the top, enter the door.  This door will take you to the
boss of Stage 4, Kracko.  Yes, I said Kracko.  This time, he is improved.  Do
not expect this fight to be as easy as the mid-boss fight you had with him.

Kracko:           Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Hard
                 Stage 4 Boss

Before I get to anything else, the best strategy I have
discovered in beating Kracko is to stay in a corner.
Kracko has three different attacks.  Kracko will swoop
down towards you.  He will shoot two beams, which he causes
to go in a circular motion.  Finally, he will drop a set of
three bombs.  To keep from being hit by Kracko's beam
attack, sprint to a corner when he starts to do it.  To
avoid Kracko's swooping attack, wait unil he has almost run
into you.  Before he hits you, jump straight up.  <NOTE>  On
that part, I was assuming you were already in a corner.
</note>  If you timed it right, he will miss you when you
                 fall back down.
To defeat Kracko, inhale one of his bombs when he drops it.
Then, spit it back towards him.

When you have beaten Kracko, jump into the Warp Star that appears.  This will
take you to Mt. Dedede.

PREVIEW:
King Dedede and his crew are waiting on this Mystical Mountain.
King Dedede heard you were coming and he has called for all the stage bosses
to return to Mt. Dedede to protect him.  This is going to be your toughest
battle yet, but if you’ve come this far, you mustn't give up.  Remeber, the
people of Dream Land are counting on you!
~ Taken from the Kirby’s Dream Land instruction manual.

Once Kirby gets inside Mt. DeDeDe, you will see five pictures hanging on the
walls.  There are pictures of Whispy Woods (top-left), Lololo & Lalala (bottom-
left), Kabloaa (top-right), Kracko (bottom-right), and King DeDeDe (middle).

When you float into a picture, you will be taken to a short level that you
must complete.  You cannot access King DeDeDe's picture until you have beaten
the other four levels.  Once you beat the four pictures, you can go to the
King DeDeDe picture and fight him.  Here is a walkthrough for each picture.

------------
Whispy Woods
------------

When you get control of Kirby, go right.  You will meet a Blooper.  Beside the
Blooper is something similiar to stairs.  On the second "step" Kirby will
encounter a Grizzo.  When you reach the end of the land, you should notice a
Tookey floating up and down.  Kill it some how.  Then, float under the column
that was beside the Tooker.  Once Kirby is out from under the column, float
up.

Kirby will come to more land again.  At the edge of the land is a Poppy Bro
Jr. marching back and forth.  Beside it, Kirby will encounter the creature
that is inside of Bloopers.

Continue going right.  You will soon see a door with "In" inscribed above it.
There is a Gordo blocking the door, though.  To get the Gordo out of the way,
get the clone Kirby that is walking around to the right of where the door and
Gordo is.  Go through the door.  You will be taken to Whispy Woods and Kirby
will have to defeat him again.

---------------
Lololo & Lalala
---------------

Upon gaining control of Kirby, float upwards, or you can jump back and forth
from platform to platform.  When you reach the top, go right on the small
strip of platform that is up there.  Mr. P. Umpkin will attempt to attack you</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
after you move.  About mid ways across the platform is a Broom Hatter.

Go right until the platform runs out.  Once this happens, float across.  While
floating, you will encounter a Glunk, Gaspar, and a Flipper.  Soon, Kirby
should come upone another Kirby.  Get this Kirby and it will destroy the Gordo
that is above and to the right of you.  Float up and go through the door that
is in the top-right corner of the screen.  This door will take you to fight
Lololo & Lalala.

-------
Kablooa
-------

When Kirby appears on the screen, a Blipper will jump out at Kirby.  After
annoyance is away, go right.  You will see a Flotzo.  If you go right far
enough, you will see a Peezer that is trying to hide under a small island.
Jump or float over the little island that the Peezer is under.  Fall down the
other side of the island.  When Kirby reaches the bottom, a Coner and a
Grumbles will be left of him.  Kill them some way and go left.  You will soon
see two sets of spikes.  Kirby must float in between the spikes.

After you get through the spikes, you should see a Gordo in front of a door.
Also, you should see a Kirby to the left of the Gordo.  Float over the Gordo
and land on the Kirby.  This will destroy the Gordo and gives Kirby a free way
to the door.  Go through the door.

After you reach the clouds and gain control of Kirby again, go right.  On the
first cloud you see, there will be a Kabu.  Below the Kabu, is a Coner.  After
getting rid of those enemies, stay right.  The second cloud you see will have
another Kabu on it. Keep going right.  You will soon see a Mint Leaf.  Grab
the Mint Leaf.  Now Kirby will be pushed forwards, and Kablooa will appear.

------
Kracko
------

When you get control of Kirby, fall off of the side.  While falling you will
encounter some enemies.  The enemies will appear in this order:  Cawcun,
Kookler, Scarfy, Boomer, and a Benny.  At the bottom is a Waddle Dee and a
Waddle Doo.  Each is carrying a dangerous umbrella.

Get the inflated Kirby that is at the bottom.  This should knock the Gordo out
from in front of the door.  Once that has happened, go over to the door and go
through it.

Now you will be taken to Kracko.

-----------
King DeDeDe
-----------

After you have defeated the other four places, float to the middle of the room
so you are covering the picture of King DeDeDe.  Now you will be taken to
fight King DeDeDe.

King DeDeDe:      Vitality Bars: ********** (10)
                 Difficulty:  Extremely Hard
                 Final Boss

There are five different attacks that King DeDeDe do.
                 1.  He will run toward Kirby, stop, and inhale Kirby.
                 2.  He will run toward Kirby and dive at him.
                 3.  He will run at Kirby and hit Kirby with his mallet.
                 4.  King DeDeDe will try to jump on Kirby.
                 5.  King DeDeDe will jump up and, while in the air, swing
                     his mallet.
To injure King DeDeDe, you will have to inhale stars and
spit them at King DeDeDe.  He will release stars on two
of his attacks.  The attacks are when he tries to jump on
Kirby, or when he runs at Kirby attempting to hit Kirby with
                 his mallet.

After you defeat King DeDeDe, you will see an overview of his castle.  Then,
the castle will start to shake.  And before you know it, Kirby has come out
from the top and is carrying the castle around.  Food starts to fall all over
Dreamland.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You have just beaten Kirby's Dream Land on the Extra Mode.

Kracko:    Vitality Bars: *** (3)

Kracko will spit Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos at you.  Keep an

Poppy Bro. Sr.: Vitality Bars: *** (3)
               Difficulty:  Normal
               Stage 1 Mid-Boss

The only difference between the Extra Mode and Normal
Mode.  Bomb Kid is that he throws more bombs at you and
               he throws them faster.
To defeat him, when he throws a bomb at you, you inhale
it and spit it out him.

Kracko:         Vitality Bars: *** (3)
               Difficulty:  Hard
               Stage 4 Mid-Boss

Kracko will swoop down toward you and drop a set of four
bombs that do not explode.  Then he will swoop down again and
drop four more bombs, but these explode.  This is his only way
of attacking, except for the swoop he does while dropping the
bombs.  To keep from getting hit by Kracko's swooping attack,
get as far in a corner as possible and duck down.
To defeat Kracko, you will have to inhale one of the exploding
bombs that he drops.  Kirby will have to inhale it before it
touches the ground and explodes.  Once inhaled, spit it back
               out toward Kracko.

Whispy Woods:     Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Easy
                 Stage 1 Boss

Whispy Woods will spit at you so watch out for that.
It will also drops apples at you.
To defeat him, inhale an apple when it falls from
above and spit it at him.

LoLoLo & LaLaLa:  Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Normal
                 Stage 2 Boss

LoLoLo & LaLaLa will come out of one of the doors and
kick a block towards you.  You can keep from being hit
by the blocks by going to an above or below platform.
To defeat this duo, inhale a block when one of them
kick it at you and then spit it back at them.

Kablooa:          Vitality Bars: ******** (8)
                 Difficulty:  Hard
                 Stage 3 Boss

Kablooa will spit bombs at you continuously.  Often
Kablooa will spit three bombs at a time to form a
triangle.  This is the hardest part to dodge.
To defeat him, spit at him, but watch out for the
                 bombs that he shoots.

Kracko:           Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Normal
                 Stage 4 Boss

This is a new and improved Kracko.  He will still spit
Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos at you, but he will also
throw some fire in the middle of the screen.  So to
defeat Kracko, inhale a Waddle Dee or a Waddle Doo
when he throws them out.  Then, spit it back at him.

King DeDeDe:      Vitality Bars: ********** (10)
                 Difficutly:  Hard
                 Final Boss

King DeDeDe will run around trying to hit you with his
mallet.  He will also try to inhale you and jump on
                 you.
When he jumps up and lands inhale the stars that comes
out and spit it at him.  Another way, is when he
runs at you with his mallet and tries to hit you, move
out of the way right before he slams the mallet.
Then, inhale the star that comes out and spit it back
                 at King Dedede.

Whispy Woods:     Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Normal
                 Stage 1 Boss

This time Whispy Woods just doesn’t spit and drop
apples at you, but he will also drop Gordos on you.
He also spits more and faster.
To defeat him, inhale an apple when it falls from
above and spit it at him.

Lololo & Lalala:  Vitality Bars: ****** (6)
                 Difficulty:  Hard
                 Stage 2 Boss

Lololo and Lalala will run at you with blocks.  In
Extra Mode, they are a whole lot faster, so becareful.
To defeat them, inhale one of their blocks and spit it
back at them.  I found it easier to stay on the second
platform and wait for Lololo or Lalala to come to that
platform.  Then I would inhale the block and get one
of the two parts that you could jump to the next
platform.  Once I got there, I would wait until the
got to me and then I would slightly tap the jump
button to jump over them, but not jump on the next
platform.  Once I landed, I would spit the block at
                 it.

Kablooa:          Vitality Bars: ******** (8)
                 Difficulty:  Very Hard
                 Stage 3 Boss

Kablooa will nearly continuously spit bombs at you.
Sometimes, Kablooa will charge toward you and hit you with
its own body.  One of the only methods to defeat Kablooa
is to attempt to dodge its attacks and constantly spit air
at it.  This will eventually destroy Kablooa.  It may take a
few tries to defeat Kablooa, but don't get frustrated if you
don't succeed at beating him on your first try.

King DeDeDe:      Vitality Bars: ********** (10)
                 Difficulty:  Extremely Hard
                 Final Boss

There are five different attacks that King DeDeDe do.
                 1.  He will run toward Kirby, stop, and inhale Kirby.
                 2.  He will run toward Kirby and dive at him.
                 3.  He will run at Kirby and hit Kirby with his mallet.
                 4.  King DeDeDe will try to jump on Kirby.
                 5.  King DeDeDe will jump up and, while in the air, swing
                     his mallet.
To injure King DeDeDe, you will have to inhale stars and
spit them at King DeDeDe.  He will release stars on two
of his attacks.  The attacks are when he tries to jump on
Kirby, or when he runs at Kirby attempting to hit Kirby with
                 his mallet.

There are two codes that Meowthnum1 warned me about, because they DO NOT work.
We have seem them on the internet but they do not work.  The codes are an
Invincibility code and a code where you can view the bosses names.  I repeat,
those two codes DO NOT work.

Q:   Did Kirby's Dream Land come out before or after Kirby's Adventure on NES?
A:   Kirby's Dream Land came out about a year before Kirby's Adventure was
    released.

Question 2

Q:   Why is this game still so popular even after being out for over 10 years?
A:   The only answer I can think of is because it is fun to play.  That is the
only reason I still like to play it.  KDL never seems to get boring.

Question 3

Q:   How many different enemies are there in Normal Mode?
A:   There are 28 enemies excluding the Bosses and Mid-Bosses.  If you include
the Bosses and Mid-Bosses, then there are 37 different enemies for Normal
    Mode.

Question 4

Q:   Why is your Extra Mode walkthrough more in-depth then your Normal Mode
walkthrough? A:   My Extra Mode walkthrough is more in-depth because I assumed more people
would need help on the Extra Mode than Normal Mode, since Normal Mode is
a WHOLE lot easier than Extra Mode.
