1. Cinematic One
================
Ray Stantz "Are you troubled by strange noises in the night?"
Egon shines a flashlight under his chin like he's telling a
scary campfire tale.
Egon Spengler "Do you experience feelings of dread in your
basement or attic?"
Peter Venkman "Have you or your family actually seen a
spook, spectre or ghost?"
All three are in frame.
Ray Stantz "If the answer is yes, then don't wait another minute!"
The point of view pans out to reveal a security guard watching
television. A Ghostbusters commercial is playing.
Peter Venkman "Just pick up the phone and call the professionals!"
Egon Spengler "Call the..."
All "Ghostbusters!"
Egon Spengler "Serving all your supernatural elimination needs
24 hours a day."
All "Ghostbusters! We're ready to believe you!"
Peter Venkman "Franchises available soon! Call for details."
Suddenly something zooms on one of the camera feeds and
then all the feeds go to static
Security Guard "Woah! Russell! Hey, man... you near
the east wing?"
Russell (on radio) "Yeah."
Security Guard "B-b-by the new Gozer exhibit?"
Russell (on radio) "Yeah. Why?"
Security Guard "There's something headed your way!"
Russell "If you're dressed as Atilla the Hun again, I'm going
to smack you. Wait. I hear something. I'm gonna take a look."
Security Guard (on radio) "Wanna hear something really creepy?
I was reading about Shandor, you know the guy who donated most
of the Gozer stuff? He was into the occult...you know, the
supernatural. Weird dude."
Russell looks around near the Gozer Exhibit. He shines his
light on the Tyrannosaurus Rex exhibit and is startled.
Russell "Ah! Uhhh...Why don't we talk about it some other
time? Any other time."
A woman's screams can be heard. A woman with books
bolts past Russell.
Russell "Aaaarragghhh! Hey! You can't be in here! Stop!"
Ghostbusters theme starts playing as something closes in
on Russell. Russell holds his hand out.
Russell "Aaaarragghhh!"
The Firehouse. Ecto-1 is parked in the garage area.
Janine answers a call.
Janine Melnitz "Ghostbusters. Is your haunting an
apparition, poltergeist, phantasm, wraith, banshee,
demon, specter, tortured soul or...What? No, we do
not summon dead family members then catch them so
you can ask the combination to the safe..."
Slimer is held captive in a containment tank made
of telephone booths.
Janine Melnitz "Yeah, well, same to you, pal.
Another exciting night, huh?"
Janine is now talking to the Rookie.
Janine Melnitz "Oh, and you get refrigerator privileges,
but listen: if you didn't put it in there, you don't want
to eat it. Especially if it looks like cottage cheese. Ick."
Rookie heads upstairs to the Ghostbusters' lab and research
area to report to Ray. As the Rookie scales the stairs,
Egon can be heard from inside.
Egon Spengler "This might be a little dangerous."
Ray Stantz "Great. Danger is our life."
Egon fits a helmet on Ray.
Egon Spengler "We'll start at fifty-percent capacity.
That should keep any burning or tissue damage to a minimum."
Peter Venkman "Hey. If you're gonna burn any tissues, do it
to the new kid. You can't use Ray. Our mortgage is in his name."
Ray Stantz "I guess he's right. What's your name again, kid?"
Peter Venkman "No names, Ray. I don't want to get too attached
to this kid. You know just in case. Remember what happened to
the last guy? Hey, how come this mump gets all the new stuff?"
Egon Spengler "He's our new Experimental Equipment Technician."
Peter Venkman "He gets cool title, too?"
Ray Stantz "It means he gets to carry around a bunch of
untested, extremely dangerous hardware that if not handled
correctly could blow him somewhere into New Jersey."
Peter Venkman "Oh, this knucklehead lugs around our very
dangerous prototype hardware that could potentially blow
us into New Jersey? Thanks! Keep the title, Kid. It'll
work hard for you."
The Firehouse rumbles.
Egon Spengler "Was that us?"
Ray Stantz "Had to be some sort of Psi energy pulse.
Substantial! A significant collected and centralized
necromantic convulsion level seven or more."
Janine walks into the lab.
Janine Melnitz "I know the answer, but I'm gonna ask
anyway...is a level seven, uh, whatever...bad? Or very bad?"
Egon Spengler "On a scale of 1 to ten. I would say..."
Peter Venkman "Let me guess. It's a seven."
Ray Stantz "Let's just say we're about to get real busy."
Peter Venkman "And that is not the fun kind of getting
busy - is it, Ray?"
Everyone walks down to Janine's desk downstairs.
Rookie takes the pole down. Slimer busts loose.
Ray Stantz "Look out. Slimer's escaped again!"
Slimer laughs ,waves goodbye, and leaves the Firehouse.
Peter Venkman "No, wait. Come back."
Egon Spengler "Where to Ray?"
Ray Stantz "The Sedgewick Hotel. It's the first
place that little spud will go."
Egon, Ray, Peter, and Rookie board Ecto-1 and take off.
2. Level 1 On The Job Training Dialogue
=======================================
Peter Venkman "Nothing to worry about, folks. There's
absolutely no reason to panic. We are highly paid,
trained professionals. Alright, stand behind me.
Try to look highly trained."
Hotel Manager "That disgusting green blob is up on the
12th floor again, wreaking havoc! I demand a
refund right now!"
Peter Venkman "Sir, if you check the fine
print on our invoice,"
Ray Stantz "Invoices."
Peter Venkman "Right, invoices...you'll see that your
warranty on re-haunting expired some time ago. You
should've taken the extended service agreement."
Egon Spengler "I'm getting some interesting P.K.E.
spikes here. Disturbances don't seem to be exclusive
to the 12th floor. I'd like the chance to look around
the building a little more."
Ray Stantz "Good. Dig up what you can. That little
greenie shouldn't cause us too much trouble."
Egon goes to the elevators. Rookie follows Ray
and Peter through the lobby.
Peter Venkman "Part of our new contract with the city,
Proton Packs remain off in heavily populated public areas."
Ray Stantz "And in close quarters. It minimizes the city's
liabilities and satisfies the restraining order the maid
here had put on us."
Peter Venkman "The world we live in today. You shoot a
Proton Stream of highly charged particles at someone...they
get a sue happy! We didn't even burn her! I mean, there was
redness! There was some redness!"
Rookie calls the elevator. A door opens up revealing
the woman from the museum.
Peter Venkman "Well, hello. You're perfectly safe
now, Miss. The Ghostbusters are here."
Ilyssa "Never gonna happen."
The trio files into the elevator.
Ilyssa "Cab please. To Times Square."
Ray Stantz "Alright ace, get ready."
The elevator door opens.
Peter Venkman "Dr. Stantz, if you'd do the honors?"
Ray Stantz "Proud to, Dr. Venkman."
They see Slimer in a hallway eating off a cart.
Ray Stantz "Alright...showtime. We wear him out, then we
capture him. That's what your proton stream is for."
They open fire on Slimer.
Ray Stantz "Full release! Now, Cadet!
You've got him on the run! C'mon, let's go! Peter!"
Peter Venkman "Nah. I've seen this one already. Know how it
ends. You two have fun though. I'll cover the elevators and
escort any ladies safely to their rooms."
Ray Stantz "I've got a solid signal! Get over here and look
at your P.K.E. Meter!
Alright. Dig it. Your P.K.E. Meter is the cornerstone of
any supernatural investigation. Works like a divining rod,
point it at psychokinetic energy, it measures electromagnetic
fluctuations and heats up. Point it away, it goes cold. Hot
is better. Just follow the signal to your target.
And this signal looks just like your elusive
little targeted entity."
Rookie and Ray run into Peter.
Peter Venkman "Stop staring at me! You're creepier than
that ghost. Go down with Ray!"
Rookie enters a room, Slimer slimes him and flies outside.
Rookie and Ray follow him into another room. Slimer hides
in a table. Rookie blasts it and Slimer leaves again.
Ray Stantz "Phew! Whoa! He's definitely been here.
Looks like he cleaned out all the snacks."
Peter Venkman (on radio) "Ray! I don't feel good!"
Ray Stantz "He's been slimed! Again! Hustle over here
and help him up, will ya?
Uh-oh. Man down! We've got a man down! Go, go, go!"
Peter Venkman "That mutant stromboli snuck up on me.
Gah...functified again."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "You guys need to get down here
immediately. Our live-in science experiment is tearing
apart the lobby, and he's not alone."
Ray Stantz "More ghosts? We gave this hotel a clean
bill of health five years ago."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "New people die everyday."
Ray Stantz "Call the elevator, Junior."
Slimer messes with the elevator.
Ray Stantz "Alright, Slimer! You've had your fun!
The elevator's off-limits!"
Slimer chases people around in the lobby.
Peter Venkman "Can we please call Winston and tell
him his night off has officially ended?"
Ray Stantz "Way ahead of you, Peter.
Janine is paging him now."
Hotel Manager "Who's going to pay for all this?!"
Ray Stantz "No need to worry, sir. As you know, the
Mayor rode to office on a strictly pro-Ghostbusters
platform and we now invoice the city directly for
all captures and eliminations. An unhaunted New
York is a tourist friendly New York."
Egon Spengler "Did Ray show you how to use the P.K.E.
Meter? Using the signals for tracking is helpful but
you can also perform a full target ident-scan on a
variety of paranormal entities. Try it on any one
of those ghosts.
Just line up your target, hold the scanning button,
and wait for confirmation.
Right. You lost the scan signal. Remember, it's an
advanced and sensitive instrument but you're going
to have to meet it halfway. Make sure you keep the
P.K.E. sweep trained on your subject until the scan
is complete.
Nice work. A completed scan initiates a cross-referenced
query to all digitally available material and instantly
updates the entry in your onboard Tobin's Spirit Guide.
This provides an active and useful data search."
Peter Venkman "Ohh! Am I glad I stayed home that year.
Alright, enough already with the education. The only
one being paid to learn on the job is this
poor sap cadet."
They open fire on the ghosts.
Ray Stantz "They've split up!"
Egon Spengler "Ray, follow me! The others are floating
back upstairs. Venkman, you two pull our friend Slimer
into a trap as fast as you can. There's a massive bulge
in these spikes indicating this isn't just some routine
clearing job."
Peter Venkman "He gets so bossy when he
hasn't had is nap.
Hey now...is that honey-glazed ham...and prime rib?
There. The Alhambra Ballroom. No way he
could pass that up."
Hotel Manager "Absolutely not! You can't go in, the
Rodriguez Bar Mitzvah is set to start in half an hour!"
Peter Venkman "I bet the beef brisket is today's special."
Hotel Manager "...and you've done quite enough already.
I'm sure the...thing...will just go away..."
A crash is heard inside.
Hotel Manager "I...I'm...willing to risk it"
Peter steps forward.
Hotel Manager "You're not going in there!"
Peter Venkman "That's all we needed to hear. Alright,
we're out! Coffee time, everyone! Service has been
declined beyond this point."
They walk away.
Peter Venkman "You bring your apron? We're gonna
take a little shortcut through the kitchen."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Be careful, Peter.
Remember the Ellis island incident."
Peter and Rookie sneak off to the kitchen entrance.
Peter Venkman "The Alhambra should be
right through...here."
Peter kicks the door open.
Peter Venkman "Okay, champion. You lead
for awhile."
Peter and Rookie enter the kitchen and
it is full of green slime.
Peter Venkman "This is why I eat out of a can."
The stoves go on by themselves.
Peter Venkman "Nothing to worry about.
Most kitchens have self starting pilot lights.
Just a little air in the line."
Slimer appears out of a vent and
animates some pans.
Ray Stantz (on radio) "Run a full scan."
After the Kitchen Wisps are dispatched,
they head to the ballroom.
Peter Venkman "Okay. Killed some utensils.
Blow up some pots and pans. I'm feeling
pretty good. How 'bout you?
You know. I thought that guy said
Rodriguez Bar Mitzvah."
They sight Slimer eating and drinking at tables.
Peter Venkman "Would it kill him to mix in a green
salad once in awhile? I'm gonna take backup. Blast
him until he's dazed and then throw your capture
stream on him.
Good, good. That's it, Buddy. You've got the
little monster breathing hard (Pants).
Okay, see! He's right where you want him!
Release your stream.
Got him! Now try to hold him still - you
gotta wear him down.
You can wear him out even faster if you
wanna bang him around the room little bit!
There! Doesn't that make you feel better?
Makes me feel better. I know that."
Rookie traps Slimer.
Peter Venkman "Yeah! Perfect! See? That's a
big wow. That'll teach that pitiful goop-sack
to slime Peter Venkman. And, by extension...you."
Hotel Manager "The Alhambra Ballroom! The Bar
Mitzvah! What have you done? The guests are
arriving in fifteen minutes!"
Peter Venkman "What seems to be your problem?
Thanks to me and my new exclusively assigned
rookie here, the festivities can now proceed
in an entirely ghost-free environment so you're
welcome. Eh? And to the Rodriguezes: LaChaim
from the Ghostbusters!"
Peter walks out to be greeted by Ray.
Ray Stantz "Nice of you guys to join us.
You grab the little spud?"
Peter Venkman "Mashed potatoes now.
Your cadet had to straighten him out.
Ray, we need to have a heart-to-blob talk with
this one or we are gonna have discipline issues
when he's a teenager."
Ray Stantz "Oh-oh! Heads up! Your initiation
is over! Now give us a hand! We've got a
couple of really persistent troublesome spirits here!"
Two Bellhop ghosts manifest.
Ray, Peter, and Rookie trap them.
Ray Stantz "See? That wasn't such
a chore now was it?"
Another ghost appears.
Peter Venkman "Hey, dollface. You see the sign
on the door? Do not disturb! No moleste! Got it?"
Guys trap it.
Ray Stantz "Nice streaming. You're getting
the hang of it. Good trap work."
Peter Venkman "Take a tip, punk: don't
mess with the men in beige!"
The Chef ghost appears, cackling.
Ray Stantz "Watch out. Hostile FRV!
Hurling projectiles!"
The ghost flies off.
Peter Venkman "Huh. That guy looked lost.
Ray, let's go check the fridge.
Let them go after the cook."
Ray Stantz "Cadet, go with Dr. Spengler.
Check out that angry chef."
Egon Spengler "This way. Looks l
ike he's drifting upstairs."
Rookie follows Egon to the stairwell.
Egon pulls out his P.K.E. Meter.
Egon Spengler "Be careful. The psychonic
vibrations seem to be amplifying their
energy! Their manifestations are becoming
more powerful and dangerous by the second!
But don't be afraid. Because...uhh...no,
go ahead and be afraid"
The room trembles, glass breaks, the chef
ghost laughs, and passes through a wall.
The stairwell is heavily damaged. Egon is
unscathed by the debris but trapped down
below. Rookie proceeds to the second floor alone.
Ray Stantz (on radio) "Scan it for the guide now!"
The Rookie pursues a cook ghost but it slimes
two objects and blocks the doorway it goes into.
Using the capture mode, the Rookie clears the
way and enters the room. He takes on the cook
ghost. After trapping it, the Ghostbusters arrive.
Egon Spengler "Good work. Are you alright?"
Ray Stantz "Nice going! You might really be
the right person for this job."
Peter Venkman "Yes, you have destroyed a
significant section of a five-star New
York hotel in just under three hours. Your
mother and I are so proud. Aren't we, Egon?"
Egon Spengler "He's got something!
Let's track it down!"
They enter the kitchen and see a glowing cake.
Egon Spengler "You need to remember that the
apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it
comes to poltergeists. They usually manifest
as what they were in their physical life.
A mailman will be a mailman, and in this case
a chef will be a chef. Granted, an evil chef,
but still a chef. So we need to figure out what
will make this guy mad and draw him out,
culinarily speaking of course."
Rookie captures the cake and tosses it into
the fire. The Chef ghost appears.
Peter Venkman "Hey, you think he'd
make us some pancakes?"
Egon Spengler "No, Peter. I think it's
trying to make us into pancakes!"
Peter Venkman "Whoa! Nice breath control."
Ray Stantz "Nobody likes a burnt cake,
especially a chef, well done, literally.
I bet that made him angry enough to fight
to the death.
He's shielding himself inside the oven, he
will probably wait until he regains some
strength before coming back out, this could
turn out to be a long battle
He did it again! This coward just runs and
hides when the times get a little tough.
We have to figure out something."
They trap the ghost.
Ray Stantz "Anybody hear from Zeddemore?"
A rumble is felt.
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "Uh, guys?
I'm right outside. And so is something else."
Peter Venkman "Well, we had to make due
with, uh, this new specimen here."
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "I've been trying
to get here for over four hours, Peter!
Traffic is a little right now!"
Ray Stantz "Wait...I know that thud..."
Egon Spengler "Winston, what do
you see out there?"
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "It's big, it's
clean and soft and white. And you all aren't
gonna like it (And it goes well with graham
crackers and melted chocolate)."
3. Level 2 Welcome To Slime Square Dialogue
===========================================
The Ghostbusters meet Winston outside
by Ecto-1.
Ray Stantz "Wasn't me this time.
I swear it."
Winston Zeddemore "Is it a
re-manifestation of Gozer?"
Egon Spengler "A PKE signature of Gozer's
magnitude is present, but the flux is
weak...for the moment."
Ray Stantz "So, it could
actually be a revisitation..."
Peter Venkman "Pull it together,
Ray. What do we have that can
stop that cheap confection?"
Winston Zeddemore "Ray, weren't
you gonna finish up the install
of the super slammer today?"
Peter Venkman "The Super Slammer?
Sounds untested, tacky, and
exciting. I'm in. But will it work?"
Egon Spengler "Against the minions
of a god? That was never the intent,
but in theory I suppose it could.
But a muon trap of this capacity
has never been used or even tried before."
Peter Venkman "Uh-huh and why
would that stop guys that don't
know any better?"
Ecto-1 takes off
onto W 42nd Street.
Winston Zeddemore "Check this!
Looks like something large and
sugary took this corner too quick."
Egon Spengler "Well, we're not
getting through that way now!"
Winston Zeddemore "Damn! We were
starting to make good time, too!"
Ray Stantz "And I thought it
couldn't become any harder to
get around Manhattan. Any ideas?
Winston Zeddemore "Uh hey guys.
The big Puft is getting fidgety
over there."
Egon Spengler "Is he looking
for something or someone?"
Ray Stantz "We need to get
from here to there...make
sure the big boy doesn't find
whatever he's looking for!"
Egon Spengler "Good strategy.
It's dangerous, though...
that's a lot of open ground
to cover."
Ray Stantz "We certainly
can't just waltz down
the middle, we'd be
sitting ducks."
Egon Spengler "That's right,
Ray. Ducks flock together in
formation which is bad. My
plan was to split up and take
two different directions. You
know, mind over mallard."
Ray Stantz "All right, sport.
Looks like it's me and you.
Let's go across Times Square
and get into the building
Stay Puft is so interested
in. You guys keep him off
us if you think you can!"
The trio passes a storefront
addressed 301. Ray signals
Rookie and Peter.
Ray Stantz "Try to pick up
a signal, see what's here."
Another rumble.
Ray Stantz "Yikes!"
Batteries fly out of a
nearby generator, stranding
Rookie and Ray inside.
Ray Stantz "Did you see
that! Man we need camera
attachment on these packs!"
Rookie puts the battery back
in and proceeds through the
doorway. A ghost appears.
Ray Stantz "There!
This is great! Giant blobs of
Stay Puft. I bet they still
have a paranormal or kinetic
connection to bubbly butt.
I think we should proceed
armed with Boson Darts."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "I
wanted to test these first,
but since we're waiving that
safety step today anyway,
you should be aware that I
modified the Nutrona Wand
which normally releases
the particle stream."
Winston Zeddemore (on radio)
"Wow! It's like Christmas
came early!"
Ray Stantz "Earlier than
what? They started Christmas
before Halloween this year!
Santa came to my house
dressed as Dracula!"
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Boson
Darts. Super de-polarized bursts
of boson particles. Extremely
volatile. They're very effective,
but can easily overheat your pack
..so use them sparingly. Oh and
any accidental blockage could
vaporize everything for 3 square
miles...but don't worry."
A trio of Construction Worker
ghosts place Spirit Locks on
the exit. After trapping them,
Rookie enters and finds a
Stay Puft Mini.
Ray Stantz "Lordy help us!
Stay Puft is somehow hatching
these...mini minions from
himself. Well, there's
paranormal physiology for ya.
Always something to make
your stomach turn."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Oh,
I've got to see this! I know
I should have gone with you!
Ray! Send me a scan!"
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "Calm
down Ray, he is still out there
pulling apart a building that is
built by the lowest bidder, how
long you think it's gonna last?"
Rookie hits the nest with
a Boson Dart, revealing a door way.
Ray Stantz "Whoa. I mean you read
about this stuff happening but to
actually see an entity take energy
directly from batteries,
it's incredible."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "I wish
I was there to see it. Get a scan.
That will be a very big learning
tool as we build new equipment."
Ray Stantz "You are doing great
kid, now once the battery is back
in the generator we can move on
and face the next thing or object
or ghost that wants to kill us."
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "Super,
but let's not forget there is an
angry sailor out there tearing this
building apart, it goes... we go!"
Ray Stantz "Okay, okay. I got it,
we need to find a way to restore
the power to the generator. Got
an idea, let's try and use that
battery to steal the energy back
from "sparky" over there."
Rookie inserts the battery into
the generator and the elevator
comes online again. Ray and
Rookie enter.
They step off and
the elevator plummets.
Ray Stantz "Ooh, close one!"
Stay Puft marches
past them outside.
Ray Stantz "Uh-oh! He didn't
find what he was looking for
on the bottom floors. Come on."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Is he
looking for something or someone?"
Ray Stantz "Try and avoid that
flowing marshmallow it sticks
like glue and affects your
movement. Is there any object
around here that can stop that
flow from coming in?
Technokinetic manifestation right
here, right now. This is at a
level that we have not seen.
I want to play!"
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Very
cool Ray. Paranormal 101.
Please calm down and get a scan."
Ray Stantz "How come when you
pay a quarter they last like
a minute but when they are
really trying to kill you
they keep coming and coming.
I think maybe destroying the
arcade machines is the way.
Good work, that would close
the door for these sprites
to escape or spawn as
gamers say."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "I
think they just want to do
their jobs. Try and avoid
any contact with them and
see if they return the favor."
Mini minions crash
through the windows.
Ray Stantz "Now he's throwing
them at us? Remember how easy
it was just to fight gods?"
Egon Spengler (on radio) "You
guys alright? If you are, then
please collect a sample from
the minions. Ooh! And a
temperature reading!"
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "That
news copter is gonna get swatted
down like a mosquito, and you know
who Peck is going to blame...us."
Rookie and Ray go after
a lone Construction Ghost.
Ray Stantz "There he goes
all yours. Remember they
can't hide from the P.K.E."
Rookie sweeps around
with the P.K.E. Meter.
Ray Stantz "Give
it the juice!
Well isn't this king of fun.
It's like a little
scavenger hunt.
Wring him out!
Go get 'em kid, take out
that P.K.E. and track him down.
Keep after him, great job,
keep moving until we
can capture him.
I think you are wearing
him down, keep it up,
almost there!
Great job! He is weak,
you got him right where
you want him now!
There he is! He's worn
down enough to fight
now, great job!
We've got to get
to the top floors!"
The exits are
free to enter now.
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Guys,
be careful. Stay Puft is
up to something..."
Ray Stantz "Yikes!
We are okay, but our
little friend has
just taken our
rivalry to another level."
Egon Spengler (on radio) "He
seems to be getting very angry!"
Winston Zeddemore (on radio) "Not
sure what was your first clue,
maybe the tossing of cars or
just the mass dest...
AH RAY, LOOK OUT!"
Ray Stantz "AHHH!"
Egon Spengler (on radio) "Ray!
Come in Ray! Are you okay?"
Ray Stantz "Gonna have to
get back to you guys
on that one!"
Ray and Rookie enter
a room where
Marshmallow Minions spawn.
Ray Stantz "Gross! The piles
are spawning minions! I wish
that giant tub of goo would
just let it go.
Something tells me this isn't
your typical office party."
Rookie powers up the generator
with missing batteries from
nearby rooms. A door
gate lifts up.
Ray Stantz "Egon and I were
talking about creating minions
to get more work done in the
lab. Maybe they could be
domesticated. Like Slimer."
Ilyssa "Aaaaah!
No! Somebody help me!"
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
has a woman cornered.
Ray Stantz "Venkman, come in
please. It's pandemonium up
here - chunks of the building
missing everywhere. You are
required at this site now!"
Peter Venkman on radio "I'm
so happy to be in demand but
these sugarballs have got
me nailed down. I
can't get past 'em.
They're disgusting!
And they're unhealthy"
Peter drinks coffee
in a stairwell.
Ray Stantz "Uh, did I
mention there's a
spectacularly beautiful
lady in distress?"
Peter Venkman on radio "I'll
be right there."
Ray Stantz "Easy now, Miss.
Just relax. No sudden movements.
You're perfectly safe now.
Sudden movements!
Sudden movements!"
Ray and the Rookie
fend off the Stay
Puft Marshmallow Man.
Ray Stantz "Boson Darts!
Boson will loosen him up.
Boson Darts should
do the trick."
They run into Peter.
Peter Venkman "It's okay.
Dr. Venkman has you.
You're fine now."
Ilyssa "W...was that a
manifestation of Gozer?"
Peter Venkman "Uh. Yeah,
probably. It just may be.
Could be. Would you like
to take the most direct
route outta here or the
scenic route, too?
It's lady's choice."
Ilyssa "There's a
stairwell over there.
Let's go!"
Peter Venkman "Whew!
Yeah, grace under
pressure. I appreciate
that in a lady."
Ray Stantz "You didn't
spill your coffee,
did you Peter?"
Peter Venkman "Ray, I
got coffee for all of
us. But the little
monster spilled it.
And what's the
story with those
things anyway?"
Egon Spengler on radio "We've
got the engine running...and
I've almost fixed the trap.
We're minutes away."
Ilyssa "Get them
away from me!"
Ray Stantz "We've stirred up
a hornet's nest, kid."
Ilyssa "Oh no!"
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
makes it to the top of the building.
Egon Spengler on radio "Good
news. We've got the Super
Slammer back on pulse and
Ecto-1 is rolling. We're
repositioning now. Can you
hold Stay Puft there
for a few minutes?"
Ray Stantz "If by 'few' you mean
less than one, then sure,
we can do that.
My cyclotron is screaming
for mercy, kid. Put your
two cents in here, will ya?!
Soften him up with
your Boson Darts!"
Ilyssa "What are you
waiting for?! Get him!
Aren't you the Ghostbusters?!"
The Stay Puft Marshmallow
Man falls over.
Peter Venkman "There he goes.
The big evil sailor all the way
to the street ...nope, not quite.
Hey Ray, say three guys the size
of your fingers knocked you almost
all the way to the bottom of a
thirty story building and you had
to climb all the way back up. How
mad would you be at those guys?"
Ilyssa "That giant blue and
white toy... man...thing...or
whatever...is still coming!
It's climbing the building!"
Ray Stantz "No sweat, kid!
We've got you!"
Peter Venkman "He appears to
be after something specific."
Ray Stantz "Or someone."
Ilyssa "Why are you looking at me?"
Peter Venkman "Well, you look a
lot better than the others really.
Kid, kick your throwers to
maxi-stream and roast him!
Please. We're right behind
you. Literally."
Ray Stantz "Nice Boson, that
really dinged him! Great job!
Now see if he wants...S'more...
get it? I'm funny too ya know.
Ha ha! Bet that hurt. I like
when they help us out like that!
Look! Inbound! You're going to
want to avoid those! Or take
care of them!"
Egon Spengler on radio "He's
right, rookie. Your health
insurance doesn't begin for
another 89 days.
Well technically speaking, it
is still the safest method of
travel. See? They got attacked
by a possessed marshmallow
and survived."
Ray Stantz "Ya know something?
You're a real sport volunteering
to step up on this one.
Thanks Cadet.
How's your grip holding
up, Dr. Venkman?"
Peter Venkman "Well I don't have
time for a high-five, Dr. Stantz
but I'm alright."
Ray Stantz "Yeah, fine for now.
But all that rising heat is
producing sweat in your palms.
And sweat, in turn leads
to slickness...
You're cutting this
pretty close, rookie!
You've got him on the ropes,
whapster! Land the last one
so we can go home!"
The Stay Puft Marshmallow
Man falls to the streets.
Winston Zeddemore "Ugh! What
a mess down here!"
Egon Spengler "Ray. Peter.
We're in position, the trap
is set. We are prepared to
capture Stay Puft. Where is he?"
Ray Stantz on radio "He's that
white puddle you're driving
through. Timings off by just a
hair, Egon. But we're glad the
trap is working again."
4. Cinematic Two (Between Level 2 and Level 3)
==============================================
Ray Stantz "How do you feel?"
Ilyssa "Pretty good, all extremely
weird things considered."
Peter Venkman "Hey, you know. I never
forget a...face. And we met earlier
tonight...at the Sedgewick Hotel.
You gave me the sideshow chickendrop."
Ilyssa "My name is Ilyssa. Dr.
Ilyssa Selwyn. And..."
Egon Spengler "Have you ever
been involved in this type of
quantum temporal rift event before?"
Ilyssa "A quantum what?"
Ray Stantz "It's called 'arcing':
a large pulse of psychic energy."
Ilyssa "Actually, yes. I was at
the museum... a pulse of blue
light surged through the building...
and then I was standing outside a
room on the thirteenth floor
of an old hotel"
Egon Spengler "We'd like you to
come to our lab so we can run
some brief tests and ask you
more questions."
Peter Venkman "The first of
which is should we go for
Thai or Mexican tonight? We
usually don't let clients
make those kinds of calls,
but in your case, we're
gonna make an exception."
Ilyssa "Wow, Dr. Venkman.
That time you almost went
45 seconds without saying
something abrasive. Wanna
try for a whole minute
next time?"
Egon, Ray, and Ilyssa go
up the stairs. Rookie follows.
Ray Stantz "Cadet!
Here's something new that
Egon and I have been developing.
The Shockblast expels a conical
pattern of stripped dark matter
particles that diffuse quickly
in the atmosphere. It's very
powerful at close range, but
less accurate and less potent
the further you are from your
target. We expect it will work
well on inbound ghost and vapor
swarms or near proximity entities."
Egon fires by mistake.
Egon Spengler "And please be
careful, it's a prototype. We're
trusting you with it."
Peter Venkman "heh...he's
talking about you."
Ray Stantz "Not just to
the Cadet, Venkman."
Winston Zeddemore "So, you know
so much about Gozer because...?"
Ilyssa "Because I'm a specialist
in ancient Mesopotamian cultures
and architecture. Sumerian, primarily.
Gozerian, more specifically. I'm
here as the guest curator for
the Gozerian exhibit that's opening
tomorrow at the Natural History Museum."
Ray Stantz "Gozer was a bush-leaguer
before he met us. A strictly farm-team
deity! We put him on the map!"
Peter Venkman "But our getting
stiffed on invites to opening
night...just an oversight, right?"
Ilyssa "I didn't have
anything to do with that."
Walter Peck "That, gentlemen, was
all me! And I can assure you, it
was not an oversight!"
Janine Melnitz "Oh, by the way,
you have visitors."
Peter Venkman "Thanks, Janine.
You're a first class lookout."
Mayor "Ha, ha, ha! Funny guy,
Venkman! You've always been my
favorite. Apologies, uh, Dr. Selwyn.
Are you alright?"
Ilyssa "I think so, but...I'm
worried about the exhibit.
Are you kidding?! You can't buy
publicity like this! The guest
curator of the Gozer Exhibit...
the expert Peck recommended...is
attacked the night before the
opening by Gozer himself?!
Please...tell me that was Gozer!"
Peter Venkman "Come on, Jock, what's
the idea bringing ...(coughs)...preck
around here? Oh, have I coughed at
the wrong time?"
Mayor "Listen. Here's the deal.
You and Peck and all you guys
are going to work together."
Peter Venkman "What?!"
Mayor "Look. This city has given
you at least a dozen contracts
for the jails, courthouses and
wharves. You guys want to grow
your business. Get some county
and state work too. I'm all for
it. You've been big supporters
and great for my campaign."
Winston Zeddemore "Some people
say our support got you elected."
Mayor "But not out loud. Anyway,
after all the damage you've been
causing lately, the city council
wants you under close supervision
for a period of no less than six
months! Well, that's where your
old friend Peck comes in. He's
annoying, a stickler for the
rules. In other words, the
perfect "Peck" for the Job.
He's out new head of PEACOCK!"
Ray Stantz "PEACOCK?"
Walter Peck "P-C-O-C. Paranormal
Contracts Oversight Commission.
And my first official act is
going to be suspending you
clown's operating license."
Mayor "Lighten up, Peck. Launch
your investigation if you have to
but for now, just keep them under
control and my office in the loop.
But remember, if the Ghostbusters
cease to exist, so does your job.
So you need each other. Beautiful,
in an ironic symmetrical kind of way,
isn't it? Okay, big night tomorrow,
Ilyssa! Get some rest!"
Ray Stantz "So! Now that we're
all friends, can we get invites
to the Museum opening?"
Walter Peck "Not likely. But I'll
be seeing you soon. You can count
on that."
Peter Venkman "Doesn't Peck look
exactly like the kind of guy who
would "accidentally" walk into
the stream of a BOSON Collider!"
Everyone stares at Peter.
Peter Venkman "I'm just saying...
it could happen."
Rookie heads downstairs
to Janine's desk.
Egon Spengler "Ray and I
have been talking..."
Ray Stantz "...and we think we
should have a look at the museum.
Whatever happened tonight, it
started there."
Peter Venkman "Okay, I'll take
one for the team and stay with
Ilyssa. You guys go with Winston
and the Recruit. I'll be her
personal protection."
Janine Melnitz "Hey Guys, you
need to make a detour. Something
big is going down. It's on 1010
WINS (um on the radio thingie
right) now."
Radio "...and another ghostly
sighting has staff at the Public
Library scrambling for answers."
Egon Spengler "The Gray lady."
Ray Stantz "Let's get her for
real this time ...go!"
Winston Zeddemore "Well, what
about the Museum?"
Janine Melnitz "Oh, and another
thing. Peck called and says that
I'm required to tell where you
are and what you are up to."
Egon Spengler "Tell him he can
meet us at the Museum. We'll
be there... eventually."
Ecto-1 departs the Firehouse.
5. Level 3 Checking Out The Library Dialogue
============================================
Ray Stantz "Captain McMahon from the
12th says there was a massive
disturbance. Real fireworks show."
Winston Zeddemore "Not much
going on now.
Even the spirits are acting
strange. How's that for a bad sign?"
Egon Spengler "Bad enough for
me. Pack's on."
Ray Stantz "Check for valences."
Guys walk around and take readings.
Ray Stantz "Wow! Big spikes!
Hey, Cadet. You need to see this."
Egon Spengler "Stand back!"
Winston Zeddemore "Look out!
There they go!"
Ray Stantz "C'mon! After them!"
Winston Zeddemore "You heard
Stantz! Let's move."
Ray Stantz "Couple of Class-two
Animators. Never seen them in
tandem like that! They're
really agitated!"
Egon Spengler "That one's a
beast, Ray. Let's chase him
down. Winston, check that
next doorway. See if he
has any friends."
Winston Zeddemore "Leave a
haunted room? I got no
problem with that."
Ray Stantz "Hey, Hoss. You
think you can handle that
little fella yourself?
We'll meet you back here."
Rookie engages the Animator.
Ray Stantz on radio "Stay
alert. Keep your P.K.E.
meter up. Animators can
hide in anything."
Egon Spengler on radio
"Something very strong
and very angry is here."
Ray Stantz "Kid! Up here!"
Egon Spengler "Strong
emanations. No direct
source, though."
Ray Stantz "We followed
our guy in here and it
gave us the slip."
Egon Spengler "I think
we found it!"
Rookie takes on an
Animator in the reading room.
Ray Stantz "Look!
Did you see that?"
Egon Spengler "It's
the Gray Lady!
Nice catch, Cadet. Tell
Venkman to send the bill to Peck."
Ray Stantz "How easy was that?"
Egon Spengler "Wait. Not
so fast. I'm getting some
big fluxes here."
Ray Stantz "I think it's
her. Yes...yes, it is her!
Eleanor Twitty. The Librarian!"
Egon Spengler "Look! There
she is! Meet us at the
stairway door!"
The Librarian shushes them.
Ray Stantz "She shushed
us again. That witch!
She went down that way!"
Egon Spengler "Winston,
check upstairs to see if
the other Phantom doubled back."
Winston Zeddemore
on radio "Roger."
Egon Spengler "P.K.E.'s out.
And try to be quiet."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Guys.
I'm in the periodical archives
looking at a stack of old
newspaper clippings...
All about some nut named
Edmund Hoover, AKA,
"The Collector.""
Ray Stantz "Oh, wow! A
full stabilizing levitation.
I'd say we're close to something."
Egon Spengler "Ray..."
Ray Stantz "You got something?"
Egon Spengler "I've got
something. Right...here."
Ray Stantz "Kid,
check that out."
Rookie scans the Librarian
but she flies off.
Egon Spengler "Yaahhh!"
Ray Stantz "That's her! The
Gray Lady! She's the first
ghost we ever hunted. Man,
I wish Venkman was here."
Egon Spengler "I'm pretty
sure Venkman doesn't."
Ray Stantz "Wow! Now listen.
This place is reading like a
psychic pressure cooker. Prime
your thrower. Everybody stick
close together.
What was that?"
Egon Spengler "Here!
This way! Quick!"
Ray Stantz on radio "Okay,
so much for 'stick together'
- new plan is 'fan out.'"
Egon Spengler on radio
"Flexible approach, Ray."
Ray Stantz on radio "There
are two hostile spirits
roaming around in here."
Egon Spengler on radio
"Two that we know about."
Ray Stantz on radio "Now I
got ya. What?! Oh no! Kid!
Look out! It's coming your way!"
Egon Spengler on radio
"Temperature's dropping.
Event imminent! Brace yourselves!"
Winston Zeddemore on radio
"Okay, guys, it's dead up
here. The good kind. I mean.
You all cool?"
Egon Spengler on radio
"We may need to get back
to you on that."
Winston Zeddemore on radio
"Says here that his Collector
used the Gray Lady to get to
the rare books in her care -
specifically a book called,
get this, the Gozerian Codex."
Ray Stantz on radio "Great!"
Winston Zeddemore on radio
"Yeah. And when she found out
what he was up to, she dumped him."
Egon Spengler on radio
"Smart lady."
Winston Zeddemore on radio
"Not really. Evidently he
murdered her for it."
Ray Stantz on radio "Uh-oh."
Rookie chases after an
Animator into a hallway
and enters a large room.
Ray Stantz on radio "Hey, Kid.
What's your 20? I'm in some
kind of dark tunnel, moving
fast...toward a bright light."
Ray enters the room
from a conveyor belt.
Ray Stantz "Oof! Class I
Swarmers! Pesky but combustible!
How's your shockblast
treatin' ya?!
Now where's that Class-Five
Animator? I tracked the slug
here!
There's the Big Fish! See what
he did?! Give him a new home -
in our containment facility!"
Rookie and Ray zap and
trap the Animator.
Ray Stantz "Phew. Good work.
That took some doin'.
Guys, we nabbed the other animator.
It's cooling its heels in the box."
Egon Spengler on radio "Congratulations,
Ray, uh...but I'm near Special Collections.
Someone you've been wanting to meet
again is here."
Ray Stantz "We're on our way!"
Rookie and Ray double back.
Ray Stantz "Keep an eye on the
twitchy ones, they'll really
crease ya if you aren't careful."
A trio of entities
attacks Rookie and Ray.
Ray Stantz "Looks like the
Gray Lady makes her
own reinforcements.
Keep your eyes open, team.
She's upping the ante."
Winston Zeddemore on radio
"Thanks for the warning, Ray.
But I have no idea of what
you're talking about."
Egon Spengler on radio
"You may wanna just take
our word for it."
Ray Stantz "There she is...
quiet, now...let's get
a solid scan..."
The Gray Lady flies away again.
Rookie and Ray find themselves
in Juvenile Curriculum when
Library Phantasms manifest
and lock the exit. They catch
up to the Gray Lady but she
animates a Book Golem.
Ray Stantz "Man. How much PK
energy must it take to collect
and animate an entity like that?"
Rookie and Ray meet up with
Egon in Special Collections room.
Ray Stantz "Okay, she's in
here with Egon. No noise!"
Egon Spengler "Shh...almost..."
Ray Stantz "Oh, boy."
The Gray Lady departs
the room. Rookie, Ray,
and Egon search.
Ray Stantz "Now where'd she go?"
Egon Spengler "Valences up.
She definitely left a trace somewhere...
Big spike! Riiiiiiiight...here!"
Ray Stantz "Yeah! Check
this out! I feel a breeze."
Rookie blasts the spot and
a secret passage is revealed.
Ray Stantz "Oh, cool!
Secret passages! These
are great!
I didn't even
know this area existed!"
Egon Spengler "Looks like
the janitors didn't, either.
For the last eighty years, anyway."
They find the Gozerian Codex.
Ray Stantz "Wow. Dig THAT!"
Egon Spengler "Ray, I'm not
entirely convinced this is
the best course of action."
Ray Stantz "Wait! You mean
this might be a trap?"
The Codex flies off and
red Library Phantasms attack.
Ray Stantz "Uh-oh!
They've got friends!"
The phantasms are trapped
and the trio descends
another set of stairs.
Ray Stantz "Ungh...
kind of damp."
Egon Spengler "Wonderful. Hope
you don't have any open cuts.
I'm thinking of flesh eating
bacteria."
Ray Stantz "Whatcha find there,
Youngblood? Good work! Spengler,
the kid found the exit."
Egon Spengler "So we're going
even deeper. Exactly how far
down is the ninth circle of Hell?"
Ray Stantz "Eerie place. I
wonder if this is where the
Collector killed The Librarian?"
Egon Spengler "I think that
would be a safe assumption.
That book she's reading is
emitting massive energy."
Ray Stantz "Ah, that's your
cue, Killer. Go get 'em."
Rookie grabs the codex.
The Gray Lady vanishes.
Egon Spengler "She took
that pretty well, better
than I expected."
Ray Stantz "It makes perfect
sense if her residual spirit
energy is tied to the book.
The Gozerian Codex, right? Now
that we have it, her echo must
have been released. She's gone.
I think we helped her cross over."
Egon Spengler "And she
just crossed right back.
Get behind something!"
Ray Stantz "Oh, no.
I'm pretty sure those codices
is how she is shielding herself,
destroy those first!
Buddy, the podiums -
soak em! Soak em!"
Egon Spengler "The book
stands are generating her shield.
That's it! She can't </pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
regenerate the cage!
Keep hitting the book stands!"
Ray Stantz "That does it!
Now let's attack the Librarian
straight on!"
The Gray Lady is trapped.
Ray Stantz "Weird. That
wasn't as tough as it
should have been."
Egon Spengler "I was just
thinking of the same thing."
Ray Stantz "It was almost
too easy...like she wants
us to have the Codex..."
Egon Spengler "Yes, like
she wanted us to blast
this room apart."
Ray Stantz "But why?"
Egon Spengler "All the energy
from our proton packs and traps
have weakened the membrane between
this world and..."
Ray Stantz "Cross-dimensional portal.
From the fifth to the fourth. A whole
world of ghosts. Something I've dreamt
about since College. It's all in the
Monarchia Daemonum. Fantastic! Ghostworld."
Egon Spengler "I wouldn't get
too excited, Ray. I have a feeling
she did so we could meet an old
friend of hers."
Ray Stantz "Well, we've
talked about it, anyway."
They go through the portal.
Egon Spengler "Hm. So this is
what the Public Library looks
like on the far side of a
cross-dimensional portal."
Ray Stantz "It's one of infinite
potential configurations. You know
..theoretically."
Egon Spengler "Yes, well this
looks like the Gozerian configuration."
They go through another portal.
Egon Spengler "Ray, it occurs
to me that these events are
interrelated."
Ray Stantz "The Gozerian Exhibit,
the huge energy pulse, the Sedgewick
Hotel, the return of Stay Puft...
yeah..."
Egon Spengler "Yes, even this.
All pointing back to a single
point of origin."
Ray Stantz "Ilyssa?"
They go through a portal.
Ray Stantz "You think she's
a factor in this?"
Egon Spengler "Maybe not
intentionally, but almost
definitely."
They go through another portal and
descend a set of steps, past two
Gozerian statues into another
portal. They arrive in what
looks like the reading room
of the library.
Ray Stantz "I do like what
they've done with the place
here - but I hoped that portal
would have taken us back to
the Library."
Egon Spengler "Actually, we
are back in the Public Library.
The dimensional membrane must
be extremely thin here."
Ray Stantz "Someone's holding
us here. The Collector."
Egon Spengler "Yes, Azetlor
wants to add to his collection.
And he's probably not too happy
about us taking the Gozerian
Codex with us."
Ray Stantz "Oh yeah? What
can a twisted little bookworm
do to scare us?
Hey, Collector! We're taking
your book! Whaddya think about
THAT!
Uh, he's right behind
me, isn't he?"
Egon Spengler "Yes, I think
you got his attention, Ray."
Ray Stantz "Ho boy."
Egon Spengler "Yeah."
Ray Stantz "I have to say I feel
a little overwhelmed. I mean we have
faced some pretty powerful things,
some conjured up by me, but to
actually be facing The Collector
himself. Well the honor is all mine.
Okay, this is a powerful bugger.
How these usually work is he will
shift his power around to fight,
that leaves very unique and short
lived weaknesses, use your P.K.E.
goggle to see if you can spot the
best way to approach this.
Try wrangling those book balls he's
throwing our way and toss them back
his way, just like Stay puft they
have enough residue to do some damage.
One down kid, super job. That was
the key, destroy the rest!
It's a whole bunch of them!
Ewwww, great work, that
was the ticket alright!
It's off! Great work!"
Winston looks around the reading
room. A portal opens behind him
and the guys fall out of it.
Winston Zeddemore "Where the
hell were you guys?! I've been
runnin' all over this library,
calling you, looking for you
..nothing!"
Egon Spengler "We passed through
a cross-dimensional portal into
an alternate version of the
Public Library, and fought a forty
foot monster to steal an ancient
magical book."
Winston Zeddemore "Oh...well...
that would explain it, then.
Next time leave a note."
Egon Spengler "Ray, does this
mean anything to you?"
They look up at a glyph
up on the wall.
Winston Zeddemore "What is it?"
Egon Spengler "Not entirely
sure. But whatever it is,
I think we just turned it off."
Ray Stantz "You thinking
what I'm thinking?"
Winston Zeddemore "Thin crust,
New York style with no visible
anchovies?"
The Rookie falls through a
portal behind Ray, Egon, and Winston.
Ray Stantz "Maybe later.
Right now I need to go back
to the lab and take a look
at this Codex."
Winston Zeddemore "Slice to
go on the way? Rookie's treat?"
Ray Stantz "And we need
to know what this is."
Winston Zeddemore "I'll call
for a delivery. Again."
6. Cinematic Three (Between Level 3 and Level 4)
================================================
Janine Melnitz "Egon, our
new boss called again..."
Egon Spengler "Please don't call
him that. Just 'Peck.'
That's bad enough."
Janine Melnitz "Peck called again.
He's not happy. He says that if
you guys fire just one more
unauthorized proton stream,
he'll shut us down for good."
Rookie goes up
to the front desk.
Egon Spengler "I added
something new to the pack."
Egon motions Peter
to turn around.
Egon Spengler "This is the PDS:
Plasm Distribution System.
Basically, it's a slime blower,
Mark II, heavily modified from
the earlier version.
Your plasm banks are now
integrated into the Proton
pack. It uses a base culture
of ectoplasm developed from
materials we discovered under
the City a few years ago.
The proto-culture is
cross-strained with
the original material
and samples from
various other ectoplasmic
entities we've collected."
Well, this lends optimal
properties to the final
product: a self-regenerating
strain of ectoplasm that can
impair entities, cause caustic
Black Slime to go inert, and
reveal otherwise invisible
ethereal structures that
reside on this plane.
You may wanna take notes.
You will be tested."
Everyone meets
upstairs in the lab.
Ilyssa "I know that symbol.
It shows up sometimes
in Sumerian ritual
magic. There's a statue
on loan at the museum
that features it."
Ray Stantz "What does
it represent?"
Ilyssa "Just a symbol,
signifies a path to
obtain great power.
Most of my colleagues
assume it's an old
constellation."
Ray Stantz "Get this.
The Codex does indicate
there is some kind of
feeder system required
to channel energy to
a Destructor Form."
Winston Zeddemore "A
Destructor Form...like
Stay Puft?"
Egon Spengler "It's entirely
possible that system and this
pattern are connected..."
Ray Stantz "It's possible."
Egon Spengler "Wait. You said
the Gozerian statuary at the
Museum is on loan. From whom?"
Ilyssa "Ivo Shandor, the
architect. Well, the Shandor
Foundation. They control
Shandor's remaining estate
and holdings. Ivo was a big
collector of Gozerian artifacts."
Winston Zeddemore "By "Ivo
Shandor the Architect," you
mean "Ivo Shandor the
Genocidal Maniac." Right?"
Ilyssa "That's what I was
researching when Gozer
attacked me. Shandor's
architecture firm was
involved in a number of
projects around town in
the late 18, early 1900s."
Egon Spengler "Including
Dana Barrett's old building
on Central Park West."
Winston Zeddemore "Let me
guess. He did some
renovations on the Public
Library building on Fifth."
Ilyssa "Riiiight. And...
The Natural History Museum."
Egon Spengler "They're all
connected to Shandor...and
this pattern. You should
get a closer look at the
Museum."
Ilyssa "Well, the Mayor's
gonna be at the Museum for
the exhibition opening gala
tonight. It's where I need
to be, too."
Ray Stantz "Okay, Egon'll
stay here and finish
analyzing the data from the
library. The rest of us will
go in by the service entrance
at the museum and lay low.
Peter can attend the party
as Ilyssa's guest and stay
in plain sight of Peck."
Winston Zeddemore "And that
frees us up to check out the
rest of the building."
Peter Venkman "Ill, I'm
gonna bring you a corsage."
(Ilyssa takes a deep breath.)
Rookie heads to Ecto-1
and it departs for the museum.
7. Level 4 Museum of (Super)Natural History Dialogue
====================================================
The guys wait around
by the service entrance.
Ray Stantz "No sign of the
curator Ilyssa told me he'd
meet us right here."
Winston walks around
taking P.K.E. readings.
Winston Zeddemore "It's crackling.
There must be something really bad
about this place."
Ray Stantz "Good idea. We should
probably have a look around."
Ectoplasmic residue is spotted.
Winston Zeddemore "Guess that
means we're not alone here."
Ray Stantz "Yep."
Winston Zeddemore "Something
wanted out of this box in a
big way."
Ray Stantz "These are
unusual flux patterns."
Rookie follows the trail of
slime and activates a switch
to open up a gate.
Ray Stantz "Whoa, wait!
Don't touch that!
That's what I thought.
Black slime."
Winston Zeddemore "Oh, man!
Do we hate black slime!"
Ray Stantz "Black slime is a
hazardous form of ectoplasmic
residue. Toxic to both body
and soul. Very dangerous.
Egon and I haven't developed
clothes and boots sufficient
enough to insulate against
the negative psychokinetic
effects of this stuff yet,
so be careful."
Winston Zeddemore "In other
words, the stains don't ever
come out."
Ray Stantz "However, after
some painstaking research
by Dr. Spengler and myself,
we have devised a solution."
Winston Zeddemore "Whoah!
Re-modified Slime Blowers!"
Ray Stantz "Yep. Switch out
the nozzles and hose down
the goo. The positively
charged slime from your
pack reacts with black slime,
negating its emanations.
Give it a try."
They proceed down the hall
neutralizing more Black Slime
and encounter a Wayward Possessor.
Winston Zeddemore
"Everybody, hold up!"
Ray Stantz "Get a
scan on her."
Winston Zeddemore "Damn!
She got away!"
Ray Stantz "I'm more worried
that she'll stir things up
around here. I expect we'll
see her again sooner
than we want to."
Winston Zeddemore
"Was that a Possessor?"
Ray Stantz "Maybe. Looked
like a Level 7 or above too."
Winston Zeddemore "Didn't we
used to fight class twos and
threes every now and then?
What happened to them?
They were easy."
Ray Stantz "Ahh, the
good old days."
Winston Zeddemore "Keep on
the lookout for objects that
can be covered in Green Slime
and then wrangled... it may
come in handy."
Rookie wrangles some boxes out
of the way and finds a doorway.
They go down a hall and blast
through another boarded up
doorway. They hear muffled
screams coming from a crate
covered in Black Slime.
Ray Stantz "There's
someone in there!
Hello? Who's in there?"
Winston Zeddemore "Somebody
that wants out, is who."
Ray Stantz "Hey Cadet! Get
in here and clear this
off please."
Winston Zeddemore "Be ready
for anything. Possessors are
tricky and powerful."
Rookie slimes the crate then
blasts it. A man was inside.
Ray Stantz "Oh, Dr. Rutherford.
Uh, Z, meet the Assistant Curator
of the Museum."
Dr. Rutherford "Is that
horrible, terrible thing gone?"
Winston Zeddemore "Yeah,
she's gone. You good?"
Dr. Rutherford "I...yes. I
suppose so. Dr. Shepard asked
me to conduct a 'secret' tour
of the facilities for you. I'm
a big fan! I even had you over
for my daughter's birthday a
couple years ago."
Ray and Winston look at each other.
Ray Stantz "Is that so? Well I
think we can get you a sticker
or button or mug or T-shirt or
something when we're done here."
Dr. Rutherford "Oh, that would
be wonderful. Follow me...we'll
go through the restoration department."
Rookie gets activity and
blasts a file cabinet -
a Snot Hag is inside.
Winston Zeddemore "Damn these
things are n-a-s-t-y. Giant
blobs of boogers and snot..what
if I catch the flu?"
Ray, Winston, and
Rookie capture the hag.
Winston Zeddemore "Think that
does it, great job. Now let's
get out of here before we catch
something else."
They continue down
into another room.
Dr. Rutherford "There it
is again! Don't let it
get me!"
Ray and Winston
look at each other.
Ray Stantz "Don't you worry.
She'll have to go through
me first."
The Possessor possesses Ray.
Ray Stantz/Possessor "Mwa
ta natch calla worn ormon!!"
Winston Zeddemore "Okay, Ray
went and got his dumb heroic
self possessed."
Dr. Rutherford "Can
you help him!"
Winston Zeddemore "Yeah, let
me teach the youngblood something.
So, when somebody gets possessed,
you gotta knock the possessor out.
To do that hose down the possessee
with slime. Be my guest."
Rookie slimes Ray.
Ray Stantz "Ugh. Thanks. I think.
Alright, let's show this plasmbag
who's boss."
Winston Zeddemore
"Bring it down!"
They trap the possessor then
head to the service elevator.
They find Ilyssa, Peter, and Peck.
Walter Peck "No. No. NO!
I want the Ghostbusters
ejected from this facility
immediately."
Peter Venkman "Where's his
honor, Pecker? We've got
news for him...and a
photo-op."
Ilyssa starts
to act oddly.
Walter Peck "The Mayor is
indisposed right now.
Anything you need to tell
him goes through me."
Peter and Peck keep
talking unaware of
Ilyssa levitating
off the ground.
Ray and Winston notice.
Peter Venkman "Not
happening Peck-a-bee.
This is for Jock alone.
We'll wait for him to
get redisposal.
Why do the good ones
always play hard to get?"
Ray Stantz "Oh, wow!
It's a Thermian Possession
event! I haven't ever seen
one of these. It's beautiful!"
Peter Venkman "Kinda like
the 4th of July in hell."
Winston Zeddemore "More
possessor ghosts! Kid,
you know what to do!"
The Ghostbusters engage
the Wayward Possessors.
Winston Zeddemore
"They got Peck!"
Walter Peck/Possessor
"Bahm bahmth...blith-o-wootz!"
Winston Zeddemore
"The kid sprang Peck!"
They trap the Possessor.
Several Floaters appear
from the obelisk.
Winston Zeddemore "Let's get
a move on kid, we ain't paid
by the hour."
Rookie takes advantage of
the Plasmic Resonance on
a gate and lifts it up
with the Capture Stream.
Winston Zeddemore "That is
nice work, my man, truly
impressive, of course I
saved the world on my
first day... you opened
a gate so let's not get
too excited.
Hey, you hang around Egon
long enough you pick up
a thing or two."
Ilyssa/Possessor "Campa
astrache noto burm
fui gorfin."
Winston Zeddemore "Wow.
Peter sure can pick'em.
I have heard of being
possessive but he's
batting a thousand.
These fellas are all
black slime. I think
you can handle them.
Man, once again we
get the ugly girl
at the bar. That
Black slime is
protecting them.
My inner Egon tells
me that the Slime
will work on these
guys. Let's give
it a try."
Ray Stantz on radio "We've
reached the security office
- somebody gave it a real
going over. Black slime
everywhere. Its going to
take some time to clean
this up."
Winston Zeddemore "Hey fellas,
if you have a moment can you
open gate 3487. It would be
a big help."
Ray Stantz on radio "Three
four eight seven three four
eight seven? Aright. I think
we've got it."
Winston Zeddemore "There ya
go, great job!"
Ray Stantz on radio "Whoa!
We're under attack! We'll
get back to you!"
Winston Zeddemore "Thanks, Ray.
Remember to stay calm and alert,
we don't need a repeat of
the "Vigo" incident.
Hey uh, Ray? We seem to be
stuck in a room with no doors?
What ya got?"
Ray Stantz on radio "Well, I'm
looking right at the blueprints,
and uh..."
Winston Zeddemore "Hang on,
we got a signal."
Ray Stantz on radio "What you're
seeing is a fold in reality.
The ghosts removed the door
from this plane of existence."
Winston Zeddemore "That's great
Ray, how does that help the living?"
Ray Stantz on radio "Well, this
is an educated guess, but since
they're gone, the ghosts' influence
should fade and the door will
return to its rightful place."
Winston Zeddemore "Just
slime the damn thing!"
Peter Venkman on radio
"Yeah, that'll work."
Winston Zeddemore "And
she floats by, definitely
Peter's type.
I can honestly say I never
thought I would be blocked
by snot, yep that is a new
one to me.
..and of course the suit
come alive. What else
would it do?
I know the sign out front
says History Comes Alive,
but come on.
Everytime I see this room that
damn song pops into my head...
"Walk like a...something...
something." (mumbles singing it)
Why can't some dead things
STAY dead, flying skulls...
gee thank you."
Rookie and Winston are
trapped in a room. Floaters
attack them.
Winston Zeddemore "Thanks, half
a disk is halfway towards our
goal but since I am always a
glass is half full guy I am
gonna suggest that there is
another half somewhere
around here."
Rookie covers the wells.
Winston Zeddemore "Good news
is you covered the well,
bad news is we gotta fight snot."
A Snot Hag attacks them.
Winston Zeddemore "Good job!
But let's not send out the
invitations to the party just
yet. We got one more to take
care of.
A little short, pop on your
goggles and see if anything
else is around.
Wow, Mayan section, some
say their calendar ending
in 2012 is the end of the
world. I just call it laziness.
If the museum put on a show
like this they would be packed
all the time."
Mannequins and Possessors
attack Rookie and Winston.
Winston Zeddemore "That's a wrap,
make sure you mentally remember
how many you got, Louis will need
that for the invoice."
Rookie and Winston get
locked in another room.
Winston Zeddemore "Ya see, not
bad, we get a little fireworks
show for all our hard work.
Alright that is all of those
we need, now we need to find
the booger ball and get the key.
You got'em both, great job.
I would love to see these
two inside the containment
grid. Let's move out.
I would have to say that of
any part of the museum to
walk into, this would not
be on the top of the list.
I would say he was Gone with
the Wind! Great job, let's
go capture the North.
That wasn't easy, good job.
Ray, we have yet another
gate in our way."
Ray Stantz on radio "Sorry.
No can do. We've left the
security office."
Winston Zeddemore "Then why
don't you go back to the
security office and be a
team player."
Ray Stantz on radio "Can you
find another way around?"
Winston Zeddemore "No I can't
Ray! (mumbling) I have a lot
of things on my plate not to
mention the Rookie. (No longer
mumbling) and I have a bad back,
remember the the HR meeting...
now RAISE the DARN..."
The gate rises up.
Winston Zeddemore "...gate."
They run into Ray and Peter.
A piece of the obelisk tumbles
into the hallway.
Winston Zeddemore "More black
slime? I think they are runnin'
this place.
There is Ilyssa, down there
and not floating around...
that is better news."
Floaters and Hound Demons
attack the Ghostbusters.
Ilyssa "Ugh... What a nightmare."
Peter Venkman "You talking to me?
Not the words a rescuing hero wants
to hear from his damsel in distress.
May I say your eyes are much prettier
when they're not glowing like hot coals."
Egon Spengler "Ray! Peter!
I've made an extraordinarily
frightening discovery. All my
data indicate that the Ghostworld
is beginning to push through
multiple cross portals from
their dimension into ours."
Peter Venkman "Well, more overtime."
Ray Stantz "Egon, we must get
Ilyssa back to the Firehouse
for tests."
Winston Zeddemore "Guys! Look!
That symbol! The nodes are glowing."
Egon Spengler "Just like the
other one. Those nodes might
indicate the locations of all
the cross portals to the
Ghostworld."
Ray Stantz "...and that one's
dark because we shut it down
at the library."
Peter Venkman "Okay...so...
we shut down the rest. It's
a poodle-walk, right?"
Egon Spengler "Yeah, simple.
Now all we have to do is
find them."
Winston Zeddemore "Uh, men?
There's only one light out
there. So if this place is
depicted on that symbol too..."
Egon Spengler "Then the
museum is still active."
A Black Slime Elemental
emerges from the Mandala.
The T-Rex skeleton assembles.
Ray Stantz "When I was a kid
I dreamed of fighting a T-Red,
of course it has skin and bones
and was alive and I only had a
club, but with lemons we make
lemonade."
Winston Zeddemore "This is
where we earn the paycheck...
..and this is where we
realize we ain't paid enough."
Ray Stantz "Whoah good
little doggy, nice little doggy."
Winston Zeddemore "Ray, I don't
think we can have this one as a
pet. Slimer is one thing, but a
twenty foot tall t-rex made up
from demonic bones? No way!"
Ray Stantz "He's covered in
black slime, use the Slime
Blower to neutralize him!
He's too powerful like this."
Winston Zeddemore "That black slime
is gonna block anything we got but
our Slimer Blower...now let's send
this guy back to the stone age.
Now we got him. Wrangle that node
on his head and slam that sucker
to the ground before he breaks loose!"
Rookie slams the head off
but the head rises up and attacks.
Winston Zeddemore "Man, you
can't tell me these went
quietly during extinction...
you just don't see this kind
of fight anymore."
Ray Stantz "Why couldn't the
black slime makes its way to
a pillow factory, it always
has to be something that has
huge dangerous inanimate
objects in it.
The skull is losing some
black slime floating around,
use the Slime Blower on it
to make it vulnerable to attack!
You did it, now switch to
the Proton Pack and blast
the sucker, try the Shock
Blast too!
It's regenerated enough
black slime to make it
powerful again. Slime
Blow it back to its
vulnerable state!"
Winston Zeddemore "Our own
little Jurassic Playground!"
Walter Peck "That's the last
straw! I should've shuttered
you fraudulent gangsters
forever when I had the chance!
You know what? I'm going to put
an end to the madness now!
Right now! I'm shutting down your
containment grid for good! You
can kiss off a permanent license,
not to mention any chance for
more government contracts! You
did this to me, and you're going
to pay! Am I clear?!"
Peter Venkman "What? But that
shuts you down, too. You have
no job."
Walter Peck "Well, so be it! I
have bigger fish to fry. I don't
have to debase myself to you.
And get him off me!"
Egon Spengler "I think we need
to keep an eye on him."
Peter Venkman "Ya think?"
Egon Spengler "No. I mean, we
really need to keep an eye on him."
Another node on the Mandala goes dark.
8. Cinematic Four (Between Level 4 and Level 5)
===============================================
Ilyssa "You're real heroes."
Ray Stantz "We're fired heroes.
Peck's gonna pull our license."
Peter Venkman "Get real, Ray.
It's the holidays! Nobody in
this town is gonna be around
to pull our license till
Monday. We got the whole
weekend to stop this calamity
and probably half a dozen others,
save the city. We got a four
day weekend! We have time left
for ourselves."
Ray Stantz "What does
this symbol mean?"
Winston Zeddemore "Uh, guys...
Perfect fit."
Winston places the
mandala over the city map.
Ray Stantz "It's not a
constellation. It's a mandala."
Peter Venkman "Ok, for one
minute pretend someone here
doesn't know what a Mandala is."
Ilyssa "A mandala is
like a prayer labyrinth."
Ray Stantz "And this one looks
like a spiraling system that
feeds into each successive node
along the line until it reaches
a culmination point. Before he
died, Shandor must have set
some mechanism in place similar
to the antenna in Dana's building."
Peter Venkman "You know, I think
you helped to make that clearer.
So this was the gizmo that's
supposed to feed energy to
the destructor form?"
Ray Stantz "That's...that's
right, Peter!"
Ilyssa "Well! Dr. Venkman!"
Peter Venkman "Well I had to
get one right eventually.
Didn't I? I mean, it's
just math."
Ilyssa "But what does
this have to do with me?
What did I do?"
Ray Stantz "You were at
the museum and the Sedgewick."
Egon Spengler "Maybe you were
some sort of catalyst...
accidentally setting things
in motion."
Ray Stantz "Ilyssa, do you
remember where you were
going when you were at
the Sedgewick?"
Ilyssa "I was standing outside
a room... 1221. Something was
compelling me to go in, but
I woke up just before the door
opened. I ran out of there as
fast as I could. And then some
jerk tried to pick me up on
the elevator."
Peter Venkman "I'm gonna have
you drop me off near Peck's
office. Something tells me
he's not quite what he seems."
Ray Stantz "Good idea. Meet us
at the hotel when you're done."
Egon Spengler "Wait, before you
we go, I want you to have this.
This is the Dark Matter Generator
(Stasis Stream). It emits a high
capacity stream of order reversed
particles that hypo-bond to
ectoplasmic matter."
Winston Zeddemore "Cool!
A freeze ray!"
Ray Stantz "A stasis stream.
This has nothing to do with cold.
But the effect is similar."
Winston Zeddemore "When do you
have the time to work on all
this stuff, Egon?"
Egon Spengler "I've been
conducting a self-experiment
in which I sleep an average
fourteen minutes a day.
Leaves a lot of time to work."
9. Level 5 Return to the Sedgewick Dialogue
===========================================
Winston Zeddemore "Whoa. If this place
were any more dead, we'd need a coroner."
Ray Stantz "Egon used
to be a licensed coroner."
Winston Zeddemore "No kidding?"
Egon Spengler "It's
just a hobby now."
Winston Zeddemore "Closed
until further notice by the
Paranormal Contracts Oversight
Commission. Entrance into this
establishment is strictly
forbidden and is punishable by
fine and imprisonment."
Egon Spengler "What
now? Hmm."
Ray Stantz "This notice is
for the general public.
It doesn't apply to us.
We're bonded contractors
for the city!"
Winston Zeddemore "Especially
the Ghostbusters."
Rookie takes care of a
barrier with a Stasis
and Proton Stream.
Winston Zeddemore "It's an
ambush! Get 'em hot!"
Ray Stantz "Wait a minute...
wait! I don't think they're
a threat. They may only be
residual hauntings."
Egon Spengler "I think Ray's
right. They haven't crossed
entirely into this dimension.
They're just psycho-kinetic
echoes. Ghosts of ghosts.
Completely harmless."
Winston Zeddemore "Great. I
was hoping to meet a friendly
ghost some day, but I'll
settle for harmless right now."
Ray Stantz "Ilyssa said she
was called to the 12th floor.
Let's start there."
Winston Zeddemore "Nothing."
Ray Stantz "They'd have
shut down the power when
they closed.
Did you hear something?"
Winston Zeddemore "Over
there! C'mon!"
Ray Stantz "This is just
how a Level Five Anchored
Ambusher lures you in!"
Hotel Manager "Go...ghosts...
Mmm...monsters...everywhere!"
Ray Stantz "The Manager?
What are you doing here?"
Hotel Manager "I came back
last night to retrieve some
payroll records, but the
hotel won't let me out!
The doors shut on me!
And the phones are down too."
Winston Zeddemore "That means
we're trapped now too. And we
have to hope that Peter figures
out we're missing? There goes
the weekend."
Egon Spengler "Not necessarily.
The 12th floor is apparently
the core of this node. If we
can get the power back on, we
can take the elevators."
Winston Zeddemore "If the
elevators don't eat us."
Egon Spengler "Yes, if the
elevators don't eat us."
Ray Stantz "More of them!"
Malevolent Echoes march
towards the Ghostbusters.
Winston Zeddemore "They're gone."
Hotel Manager "There's a backup
generator in the utility room
off the kitchen. It's for
emergency blackouts."
Ray Stantz "Perfect. Let's
give it a try. To the kitchen!"
Two echoes appear. The
Manager is startled.
Winston Zeddemore "Someone you know?"
Hotel Manager "I...don't know.
Most of the old staff knows the
story of the Spider Witch, a
professional widow who did
unimaginable things in a room
on the 12th floor back in
the 1920's."
Ray Stantz "Amazing! How
often does she manifest
inside the hotel? Has she
ever made physical contact?
I can't believe I've never
heard of her before!"
Winston Zeddemore "Don't mind
him. He's passionate about
his work."
Egon Spengler "Ray, I have a
feeling we're about to have
as much contact with her as
we'd ever want. The fluxes
around her were at max. She
may very well be the focal
point for all this activity."
Ray Stantz "Watch out!"
Winston Zeddemore "Right! Now,
let's find that back-up generator."
Ray Stantz "Looks like the
way into the kitchen is blocked.
Can't get in through here."
Egon Spengler "There's an
entrance from the ballroom.
C'mon! Keep moving!"
Malevolent Echoes and
Hotel Phantasms manifest
and attack as the Ghostbusters
head to the ballroom. Once all
the Phantasms are trapped, the
door to the ballroom is unlocked.
Hotel Manager "The Ruby Ballroom!
It's ruined!"
Ray Stantz "Naw-naw. A little
spackle and paint...she'll be
good as new."
Winston Zeddemore "Yeah, we
could have our Christmas
party here."
Ray Stantz "Before we put
down the deposit, let's see
if there's going to be a Christmas."
Egon Spengler "Or a 'here.'"
Hotel Phantasms
manifest and attack.
Ray Stantz "The kitchen.
Is it through here?"
Egon Spengler "Yes, just
down the hall."
Ray Stantz "Let's move!"
Egon Spengler "I think
it's just down here.
Hello? Anyone there?"
Ray Stantz "Alright guys,
spread out. The utility
room should be around
here somewhere."
Winston Zeddemore "In some
dark, scary corner."
Egon Spengler "I know I've
said this before, but be
careful. I don't think
we're alone."
Ray Stantz "Look! Cadet
found the emergency generator!"
Rookie moves three charged
batteries back to the generator.
Ray Stantz "Ah! Sweet music!"
Egon Spengler "The elevators
should be working. Unless
something...nevermind. Let's
get back to the lobby."
Ray Stantz "We gotta find a
way out of here. Which way?"
They head to the elevator
when more Malevolent Echoes
manifest.
Winston Zeddemore "Again?!"
Egon Spengler "I suspect
they'll continue to manifest
as long as this node is active."
The Ghostbusters and
Hotel Manager call
down the elevator.
Egon Spengler "Okay, it
looks like the psycho-mass
has come to rest about 190
feet above our heads."
Ray Stantz "The 13th Floor."
Hotel Manager "This hotel has
no 13th floor! None of the
grand old hotels do!"
Ray Stantz "We'll split the
difference. Egon, you and
the Tenderfoot go to the
12th floor. Winston and I
will check out the 14th.
Sir, if you'll please
come with us."
Ray, Winston, and
the Manager arrive on the 14th.
Winston Zeddemore "Egon, what
were you saying earlier about
the mandala node?"
Egon Spengler "Okay. Think
of the mandala as a city
bus line. At the bus station,
ghosts, or waiting passengers,
are drawn into the system here
and trapped. This concentrates
their PK energy which is then
eventually forced through to
the next node, or "station,"
and so on, until it all ends
at a final terminus. At each
successive bus station, the
station manager absorbs some
of the energy. This makes the
station manager, or Node
Guardian, stronger, so that it
can keep the ghosts in line and
destroy anyone who comes to the
station to interfere with the
flow. These nodes or bus stations
gather the power used to feed a
central point thus creating a
much bigger threat to our world.
Does that make more sense now?"
Winston Zeddemore "Remind me
not to take the bus in Egon's
neighborhood."
Ray Stantz "Yeah, you were
going strong right up until
the passengers for trapped
inside the bus station."
The Spider Witch and her
victim's echoes manifest
in front of Egon and the
Rookie in the elevator.
Victim "I say, young lady,
you are full of surprises!
After you my dear!"
Egon Spengler "Well. That
was terrifying."
They arrive on
the 12th floor.
Egon Spengler "Be extremely
careful. This is likely to
be a point of dangerous
concentration.
Odd. It's coming from
everywhere and nowhere.
Impossible to get a
significant fix.
Ray, come in. Are
you there?"
Ray Stantz on radio "Egon.
What happened? We lost you
for a minute there."
Egon Spengler "We had
a close contact."
Ray Stantz on radio "I've got
some more information on the
Spider Witch ghost. Manager
says authorities never found
her but...
He says the victims were
found in a pretty bad state.
She seems to have
vandalized the room
badly too."
Egon Spengler "Ray! Come in!"
Ray Stantz on radio
"Yeah, what's up?"
Egon Spengler "What was
the Spider Witch's room number?"
Hotel Manager on radio "1221.
After her spree, it was locked
up. Until about five years ago
when we remodeled."
Ray Stantz on radio "Hear that?
Room 1221. I think that...Hey!...
The man and woman from the
elevator appear in the hallway.
She is once again whispering
in his ear."
Egon Spengler "You've
got a signal!
Stay focused! We've got
to find the source of
that signal."
Echoes appear again.
Victim "Who...what
are you?! No..! Help!
No! Please...AAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
The Spider Witch drags the
victim off and the hall is
partially transmogrified.
Egon Spengler "It's the
Ghostworld crossing through!
Happening sooner than we expected!
It looks like this is where the
node is focused! We could use
some help! Ray, are you there?!
Come in Ray!
Looks like it's up to us...
let's find 1221 and finish this."
The hall continues to transform
and a door is barred by four
spirit locks. Egon and Rookie
search around for the four
Hotel Phantasms and trap them.
Egon Spengler "Your skills
are improving! Let's find 1221!
1220... 1222. No 1221.
Where is it? 1221 has to be here."
Rookie slimes the phantom
architecture and reveals 1221.
Egon Spengler "Good thinking!
It was here all along."
Spider Scuttlers pour out of
the room. They head in and
find the Mandala node.
Egon Spengler "Mmm. Nice remodel.
You've got something."
Spider Witch is drawn
into the node and the
wall explodes. A secret
stairwell is revealed.
Egon Spengler
"Well, that's horrifying.
Follow her!
Through there!
Apparently, the Sedgewick
does have a thirteenth floor
and we just found it."
They go through and
a white light envelops
the room.
Egon Spengler "Looks like
we've crossed over! We're
back in the ghostworld!"
Egon and Rookie run
into a strange hallway.
Egon Spengler "Well,
this looks inviting.
She's toying with us.
Watch your step."
Rookie and Egon make
their way through the
13th floor until the
come upon an even more
bizarre looking room.
Egon Spengler "I don't like
the look of this, but we've
run out of options."
They make their way across
the floating platforms and
continue on.
Egon Spengler "Oh, perfect.
Another elevator."
They arrive in the lair
of the Spider Witch.
Egon Spengler "I have seen slime,
goo, gods and demons, but I really
really hate spiders...and THAT is
a big spider.
This entity is way too large and
powerful for a straight on attack.
We are gonna have to get creative!
Shooting at it directly isn't
working. We'll have to improvise!
Bugs. Lots and lots of bugs.
We have seen some strange
stuff in our time, but
spawning little demons from
your own demonic body
is about the top of the
food chain, don't you think?!
That's the ticket, she
did not like that!
Keep it up!
Keep it up! Her physical
manifestation's stability
is definitely weakening
from the falls!"
They wrangle the Spider Witch
and trap her. They return to
the Ruby Ballroom and spot
the Mandala node on the floor.
Egon Spengler "Look...the Mandala Map!
Ray, Winston, come in.
You there?"
Ray Stantz on radio "Egon!
What happened? You alright?"
Egon Spengler "The Recruit
found the 13th Floor and we
shut it down. P.K.E. levels
are back to acceptable
parameters. This node of the
mandala is fully neutronized."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Alright!"
Egon Spengler "Looks like we're
back in the Ruby Ballroom.
We'll meet you at Ecto-1."
Back in the lobby...
Egon Spengler "Alright, I'm
just speculating but it's
possible Ghosts are trapped
in the system, funneled from
node to node, and they get
stronger and stronger, until
they reach the end, and then
they..."
Ray Stantz "Look! The first
portal...the library. The
second...the museum. And the
third...the Sedgewick."
Egon Spengler "And that means
the fourth portal must be...
right...here."
Winston Zeddemore "The middle
of the Hudson River?"
Ray Stantz "Well, according
to the mandala, yes."
Egon Spengler "It may need
a little tweaking."
Winston Zeddemore "I don't know, there's
plenty of bodies dumped in that river
to become ghosts."
Egon Spengler "It's the final node.
Close it and we seal the Mandala,
trapping the ghosts inside."
They head to Ecto-1.
10. Level 6 Lost Island Rising Dialogue
=======================================
Ray Stantz "It hardly took any
work at all to get it to stay
on TOP of the water again. I
told you guys Marine-Ecto-8
would come in handy!"
Peter Venkman "Egon remind me.
Why are we driving around
aimlessly in the fog?"
Egon Spengler "It's the final
node. Close it and we seal the
Mandala, trapping the ghosts inside."
Winston Zeddemore "And that
would be the node in the
middle of the East River?"
Peter Venkman "Your exact words.
Sorry to break it to you, Egon.
But I just don't see a Mandala,
ghosts, ghoulish structures, or
any of the usual accoutrements
of another world impinging upon
our own. I wish I did but..."
Marine-Ecto-8
crashes into something.
Peter Venkman "Please don't
be an iceberg, please don't
be an iceberg."
Egon Spengler "You were saying?"
Ray Stantz "Shandor's Island...
it's here!
I'm going to have to drop
you guys and circle. It's
too unstable. If Ecto-8 sinks,
we're sunk, too."
Peter Venkman "Ray, since
you're the most excited
about going to ghost island,
why don't I just take
the boat?"
Ray stares at Peter.
Peter Venkman "You want
me to come along? Well,
I thought I was trying
to make a nice gesture,
and you're giving me
the suspicious look.
Drop it instantly. Let's
get going, because nobody
enjoys rushing headlong
towards their death more
than this fellow."
Winston Zeddemore "What's
the story behind this
place, Egon?"
Egon Spengler "The Shandors
owned this island for
generations. The castle was
built in the 1860s. Ivo Shandor
used it as a refuge, a lab,
and a temple for he and other
cult members to worship Gozer."
Winston Zeddemore "Okay, that's
all well and good. But can
someone explain to me how
an entire island sinks?"
Egon Spengler "The night the
last Shandor died, there was a
huge tidal surge and the River
just swallowed the island whole.
Shandor consecrated the island
to Gozer, and the Ghostworld
reclaimed it."
Winston Zeddemore "City's lucky
it's in the middle of the river
instead of midtown (Rockefeller Center)."
Egon Spengler "We're lucky now.
But soon the Ghostworld will
continue to assert itself into
ours, and the damage will be
incalculable."
Winston Zeddemore "Oh, now I see
what they mean by early demonic."
Egon Spengler "Shandor's public
architectural style ranged from
Federal to Art Deco. His personal
tastes, however, obviously leaned
toward the Gozerian."
Winston Zeddemore "This place looks
like it was built on a Friday, you
sure it ain't gonna fall down on
top of us?"
Egon Spengler "The supports are
waterlogged, the mortar is decrepit,
and the foundation is shattered. In
physical terms, there's no way all
this can still be standing."
Winston Zeddemore "Why do I even
ask you these things man?"
Egon Spengler "It's beautiful,
in a horrific way."
Winston Zeddemore "Hey, listen,
do you hear something?"
Egon Spengler "Posthumous Black Mass."
Winston Zeddemore "What? People
still worshiping? Even after
they're dead? That's a powerful
church, man."
Egon Spengler "That might explain
how these structures are still standing!"
Winston Zeddemore "You mean they're
praying for it to remain standing?
Count me in too.
It's always quiet, right before
the screaming and murder starts.
Heads up!"
Cultists ghosts fly around them.
Peter Venkman "Hey. Where'd the
caddy go? Hey! Cool-breeze!
Come on out!"
Egon Spengler "Peter! Behind you!"
Peter looks down a
very deep hole.
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Venkman!
They got Venkman! I'm going after him!"
Egon Spengler on radio "No!
There's too many of them!"
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Stock options!
I definitely need more options! NOOOOO!!!"
Ray Stantz on radio "Hey there rook,
are you okay? Are you okay?
All appendages seem intact, you
seem okay, head out and try and
find the others."
Egon Spengler on radio "Yeeouch,
what happened? What did I miss?"
Ray Stantz on radio "Good to hear
your voice, Egon, seems the experts
are all incapacitated and the
newbie is not. What's your twenty?"
Egon Spengler on radio "I can't see
much. Looks like I'm in some kind of
container, inside what appears to be
some sort of laboratory."
Ray Stantz on radio "Well hello
doctor Winston, glad you are okay,
has anyone heard from Peter? He's
not the outdoorsy type. Hey kid try
and pick up the pace, we need to
figure out what is going on."
Rookie is temporarily trapped in
a room with a Black Slime Elemental
and Cultist Ghost. Rookie traps the
ghost and disintegrates the elemental.
He finds a dial and affixes it to the
nearest machine, draining the trenches
of slime. He follows the path to a
stairwell but several Cultist Ghosts
try to defend the entrance. He enters
the Slime Labs and encounters another
Cultist Ghost.
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Ahh, the
sweet science of a Proton Beam destroying
everything in its path (soothing)."
Rookie traps Cultist Ghosts and frees
Peter. They head up the stairs.
Winston Zeddemore on radio "I think
you're getting closer to me, the
sounds are getting louder.
You know, I always did like you
more than the others did.
Stop goofing around and
spring me outta here!"
Rookie and Peter trap a Cultist
Ghost, freeing Winston.
Winston Zeddemore "How about some
more lifestyle benefits?"
They are surrounded by Black Slime
Scuttlers and a Cultist Ghost.
Winston Zeddemore "Man, what are
these spooks up to in here? I get
the whole Mandala-as-immortality-
and-power thing, but what's all this
slime science have to do with it?
This must be where all the mood
slime came from. Look! They must've
pumped it straight into the sewers
from here.
Wish you were here with us Egon,
maybe you could have explained
the rainbow colors of slime we passed."
Ray Stantz on radio "Multiple colors
of slime? That is incredible. It is
unlike the regional rainbow plasma
incident of Mexico City in 1970. I
wonder what their purpose is, what
they would react to? Happiness, sadness,
anger, sunlight, moonlight, orbital
convergence, shooting stars, prayer,
screaming, candles, spotlights, diet
or regular... the possibilities are endless!"
Peter Venkman "Smells like the
Fulton fish market when they've
got fish."
Winston Zeddemore "I hate places
like this... I can't tell you
how underpaid I am."
Peter Venkman "Wait, I know
that dumpster."
Winston Zeddemore "(Whistles in amazement)
I would say whatever broke out of that
would consider us just an appetizer."
Egon Spengler on radio "I think I hear
you guys. Yes, that sounds like my
equipment. You are getting close."
Winston Zeddemore "Egon, hang on
we are almost to you!"
Egon Spengler "I may be in
some trouble here!
Get me out of this thing. I don't
want to be eaten by black slime."
Winston Zeddemore "So much of this
soul-sucking goo in one place... I
get the heebie-jeebies just being
nearby when it's lathered all
over like this."
They encounter
the Scuttler Queen.
Egon Spengler "She's using the
black slime to protect her! Use
your slime blower or Slime mines
to get rid of it!"
Peter Venkman "This is the part
where we do what we do! Blow it
back to the cradle."
Winston Zeddemore "Ah ha, we never
lose the touch, we may be down
sometimes, but never out! Consider
this a royal flush!"
Ray Stantz on radio "Way to go! I
feel a momentum swing here in our
favor, get out there and find the
mandala node and shut it down.
That should really piss someone off."
Egon Spengler "You know, I have to
take my hat off to Shandor. This lab
was built how many years ago? It's
truly impressive. It's likely Shandor
was THE expert on paraphysiology of
his time."
Ray Stantz on radio "You can't
deny the pure genius of Shandor,
it's a pity that it was all used
for evil. If he would have just
channeled some of it for good,
the things he could have done."
Winston Zeddemore "Well he didn't
Ray. SHOCKER. Instead of peace on
earth and cures for diseases we get
Booger Snot ghosts, marshmallow ghouls,
spider witches, the comeback of the
civil war, King Tut and new property
in the Hudson River that I can't afford."
The guys arrive in the newly
opened room and locked in. A
Slime Lab Elemental and Cultists
ghosts manifest.
Egon Spengler "That elemental
is actually throwing black slime
at the cultist! That is amazing!"
The guys enter an office room
with a painting that resembles Ilyssa.
Winston Zeddemore "Ilyssa.
I see her."
Peter Venkman "You and me both.
She's wearing just a simple </pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
terrycloth robe. And she's
brought me coffee."
Winston Zeddemore "That's her,
all right. Spitting image.
Wait. What? Ilyssa
is a Shandor?"
Peter Venkman "She doesn't
know it. When I did her profile,
she told me she was adopted."
Winston Zeddemore "Some
coincidence, huh?"
Peter Venkman "You don't really
believe this happened by accident?"
Winston Zeddemore "No. Someone
must have known and set this up.
Once a Peck, always a Peck."
They enter an Orrery chamber.
Egon Spengler "I wish I had a
camera! This place is incredible!
Shandor was tracking everything,
planets, dimensions, portals, the
living, and the dead!"
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Here
we go, enter one Orrery, enter
them all. You go ahead and work
your way deeper, Peter and I on
the other hand will be babysitting
Egon and trying to keep him from
taking, eating, and playing with
anything that can hurt us, which
is everything in here.
Egon, you gotta be going nuts here,
this is like a toy store to you.
Do you wants us to stop so you can
play a little? Just remove your shoes
first and when it's time go, it's
time to go."
Egon Spengler on radio "Attempting
to map the relationships between
dimensions... tracking their shifts
and movements... I wonder what
purpose this all serves?"
Ray Stantz on radio "I bet that
Orrery is some extra dimensional
portal that draws energy forms in
and out, filtering out what they
don't want, think of it like an
evil strainer that just lets evil
in and shield out the good forcing
back. I would love to try it, study
it, taste it, and feel it."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "How come
people smart enough to use science
always try to take over the Universe?
Huh? Egon? Ray? Anyone? ...didn't
think so."
Rookie goes off to restore power to
the generator in the office. Cultists
Ghosts emerge from the Mandala node
on the wall. Rookie starts up the generator.
Winston Zeddemore on radio "This
place is becoming very active kid,
get back to the main chamber, we
will meet you there. Egon, you got
to put down the tissue samples, we
will stop on the way out. I promise,
let's go!"
Egon Spengler on radio "Be careful.
I'm reading massive P.K.E. fluctuations."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Um, if you
are looking for either Peter, Egon or
myself we are currently stuck up on
the second floor where the main chamber
and exits have closed. Thank you!
I would really really like to get of
here please.
I can only base the Rookie's
performance on my first week
on the job. I was able to stop
ghosts and Stay Puft and save
the day... lookin' good. He has
us up here and locked in the
Orrery. I'd say not a good start."
Peter Venkman on radio "Another
one that is not beautiful on
the inside."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Is that
thing eye ballin' us, man that thing
is freaky. I expect something to try
and eat me on a daily basis but that
many mouths and tentacles, c'mon!"
Ray Stantz on radio "With that much
black slime, the Slime Blower can't
cut it. Slime Mines are the way to go.
Use your P.K.E. Goggles to find a
weakpoint and blow it away!"
Peter Venkman on radio "Great.
Bulimic to boot."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Now
that is more like it. I can see
your career advance now. Keep
attacking that mouth and that
should disable it.
This is the kind of stuff that
really shows well on your review
I think you are really turning
some heads back at headquarters.
You are just above "meets expectations"
that is good, keep it up and we can
Great job, keep it up and I will
share the credit with you on this.
Very nice. Very nice indeed. I
like the work load for me on that
one. Will show strong at review
time, let's not start the high
fives yet though, there are two
more for you.
You are looking good. I see
management training in your
future, you want to go for
the gold watch? Get that
last one.
THAT IS HOW WE DO THAT.
Perfect. That's right Mr.
Black Slime, we took the
game to you and won...
on your court!"
Peter Venkman "And that
is all she wrote."
Egon Spengler "All the nodes
are closed. The ghosts are
trapped in the Mandala."
Winston Zeddemore "Right where
they belong! Our boy Ivo Shandor
didn't factor in that he was
messin' with the Ghostbusters!
Ha ha HA!"
Egon does not high five
Winston. Winston turns to Peter.
Peter Venkman "Yeah. Peck made
the same mistake. We're gonna
have a long talk with him."
Egon Spengler "Don't forget
that Peter's girlfriend is
a Shandor."
Peter Venkman "I'm gonna
have a...a very long talk
with her."
Ray Stantz on radio "You guys
need to get down to the shore,
and fast! I don't know how much
longer I can hold her - the
whole island's sinking!"
Peter Venkman "Well won't
the shore sink first?"
Egon Spengler "Not a
bad first day."
11. Cinematic Five (Between Level 6 and Level 7)
================================================
Egon Spengler "Well, that
could've been worse."
Ray Stantz "We need to call
the Mayor. Tell him to call
off the evacuation.
What's going on, Janine?
Where's Ilyssa?"
Janine Melnitz "She's gone!
They took her! One minute
everything was fine, the
next it was chaos! Ghosts
flying everywhere!"
Egon Spengler "Janine, slow
down! Start from the beginning."
Janine Melnitz "Okay, okay.
Somebody jumped me from behind.
And before I passed out, I head
Ilyssa struggling and yelling,
"No!" And the last thing I
remember was the screams of the
dead and damned echoing in my brain!"
Peter Venkman "So either there
was a mass escape from Rikers..."
Egon Spengler "...or someone
shut down our containment grid.
Again."
Winston Zeddemore "Just like
Peck threatened to do."
Peter Venkman "It's funny. I always
knew that Peck was a pencil-necked,
bureaucratic prick. But I never
pegged him as an evil occultist."
Ray Stantz "But where did he take her?"
Winston Zeddemore "And where
are all the ghosts? Cause, no
offense, but if all the ghosts
we've ever caught just escaped,
I'm clocking out."
Radio announcer "This just in,
as authorities continue to
supervise the Thanksgiving
evacuation of Manhattan
increasingly powerful tremors
are rocking Central Park.
The The question is,
where are the Ghostbusters?"
Peter Venkman "Tell you what,
it's kind of an nice day. Why
don't we go down to Central Park?
We could round up some ghosts,
save the girl...and get back in
time for a nap?"
Ray Stantz "Okay! The
Ghostbusters ride again!"
12. Level 7 Central Park Cemetery Dialogue
==========================================
The guys are locked out.
Ray Stantz "Any ideas?"
Winston Zeddemore "I bet we can pull
these gates down, too. Hey, Ray.
Have we got a chain or winch for
this thing?"
Ray Stantz "I didn't plan for a
fun-filled day of offroading
with Ecto-1. So no.
Junior's pretty spry, even
with that hundred pounds of
Proton Accelerator."
Egon Spengler "Make your way
around to the other side and
open this gate for us."
Ray Stantz on radio "Hoss, you
alright? How's that gate coming?
The energy of the escaped ghosts
from our grid might be enough to
produce a cross-dimensional event
in itself."
Egon Spengler on radio "Yes, and
with Ilyssa here, I'm sure her
Shandor ancestors aren't far behind."
Ray Stantz on radio "Speed
it up there, Tiger."
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Yeah,
we don't want to stand here all day."
Rookie gets the gates open.
Ray Stantz "Nice work!"
Winston Zeddemore "Way to
go, green horn!"
Ray Stantz "Solid signal,
better take a look.
How did that happen?
I'll go with the intern.
Nobody should wander around
alone in this place.
We'll meet you
guys a little further on."
Egon Spengler "Good idea!"
Winston Zeddemore "Let's move."
Egon Spengler "I'm not sure going
underground now is a good idea."
Ray Stantz "Come on, Spengs.
Getting there is the fun part."
Ray and Rookie go underground
and run into nests of Grave
Scuttlers.
Ray Stantz "Wow! Look at the
storm system building above
that tower!"
Egon Spengler "Remember the
last time we saw that kind
of atmospheric disturbance?"
Winston Zeddemore "That's right.
At Dana Barrett's building, the
night she turned into a dog."
Gargoyle statues come to
life and attack Rookie and Ray.
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Earthquakes
..great. Could pestilence and plague
be far behind?"
Ray Stantz "I'd bet on it.
Flying skulls! Flying skulls!
Lookout!!!
They're coming out
of the ground!"
Rookie and Ray trap the three
Gravedigger Ghosts and return
to the sealed gate. The Grave
Guardian manifests.
Ray Stantz "That's
a bit ominous...
Uh-oh...run!
Here he comes!
He summoned his shield,
our weapons will be blocked!
We have to get rid of it,
try and wrangle it and smash it!
That's solid rock! Your Proton
Beam and Shock Blast won't even
tickle that thing. You should
try Boson Darts.
Kid, nothing we have will get
past that shield, you have to
wrangle it and destroy it,
then fire away!
Remember that is solid stone.
You gotta use Boson Darts to
have any effect!
Timber!!!"
Winston Zeddemore on radio "Ray!
You guys alright? Man, there ain't
nothing dead in this graveyard."
Egon Spengler on radio "They're
throwing everything they have at
us to stop us from getting to
that mausoleum."
Rookie dislodges the
Non-Anthropomorphic
Conglomerate. Stone
Cherubs and Imp Demons
attack.
Ray Stantz "Air strike!
Take those flyers out!"
Rookie and Ray are reunited
with the other Ghostbusters.
Ray Stantz "Thanks for
joining the party."
Egon Spengler "I think
we're getting close."
Ray Stantz "This way, gentlemen."
Winston Zeddemore "I don't get it.
We shut down the mandala. How can
all this still be happening?"
Ray Stantz "In the Gozerian Codex
it's written that a blood sacrifice
and a tremendous amount of spiritual
energy are needed to generate the
Supreme Destructor Form."
Winston Zeddemore "A Destructor
Form, again?"
Egon Spengler "Peck probably couldn't
draw sufficient energy from the
mandala before we shut it down. He found
an alternate source in our Containment Unit.
Hmm, strong signal."
The Ghostbusters encounter Grave
Golems and Gargoyles. Rookie takes
a piece back to the mausoleum door
and it is drawn to it.
Ray Stantz "Guys, the cadet
may be on to something!"
Egon Spengler "Ray, readings here are
extremely unstable. Energy from the
mandala and the escaped ghosts is
building up to a flash point. We don't
have much time."
Winston Zeddemore "Oh we got it Egon
but let's try and focus here. It's
that kind of monologueing that let's
the bad guys in."
Rookie brings back
a second piece.
Winston Zeddemore "Way to go!"
They look for the third and
get trapped in an area.
Ray Stantz "Dead guys incoming!"
Rookie brings back a third piece.
Egon Spengler "Spectacular!"
Rookie puts the last piece in.
Ray Stantz "Great! Those fellas
turned out to be pretty helpful!"
The Ghostbusters go inside.
Peter Venkman "Wait. It's Ilyssa.
This is gravy. Cut the girl loose,
close this dump up, head back
downtown for sushi."
Egon Spengler "It's Peck."
Peter Venkman "Let's blast him!
Really hard!"
Ray Stantz "But the
guy's tied up!"
Egon Spengler "Villains don't
generally do that to themselves."
Peter Venkman "Let's blast him
anyway! Just once. Really hard!
Nobody would ever know."
Egon Spengler "Can't do it, Peter.
Everything points to Peck being used."
Mayor Mulligan/Ivo Shandor "I couldn't
have said it better myself."
Ray Stantz "It's the Mayor."
Peter Venkman "No, Ray...it's not.
It's Ivo Shandor. Right?"
Winston Zeddemore "Ahhh...Shandor
possessed the Mayor, turned Peck on
us to slow us down. And when we shut
down his mandala before he could get
fully juiced, he hijacked out ghosts
out of the Containment Unit as an
alternate energy source."
Peter Venkman "What's the girl
have to do with it?"
Mayor Mulligan/Ivo Shandor "Taking
her was necessary. To assume my own
Destructor Form. I require blood.
My blood. Which is hard to come by
when you've been a ghost for
seventy years."
Ray Stantz "What about Gozer?
I thought you built this all for him?"
Mayor Mulligan/Ivo Shandor "I did,
but he failed me. Twice. How he
earned the title "The Destroyer"
is beyond me. Gozer "The Bonehead"
is more like it. Anyway, I thought
to myself... why worship a god when
you can actually become one?"
Peter Venkman "Slime him."
Rookie slimes the Mayor
and forces Ivo Shandor out.
Egon Spengler "Try the Stasis Stream!"
Ray Stantz "He is too powerful when
he is split up, we can't attack him!"
Winston Zeddemore "Use the
Stasis Stream! Make it quick!"
Ray Stantz "Beat him down! Then
get a capture stream on him!"
Egon Spengler "He's too powerful!
It'll take all of our streams!"
Ray Stantz "Remember
your Stasis Stream!"
Winston Zeddemore "We can't hurt
him when he is in that state!"
A portal opens in the center of
the room. Peter throws out a Trap.
Peter Venkman "Trap is in!"
Egon Spengler "Forget it, Venkman.
He's absorbed too much power to
contain in the portable unit!"
Winston Zeddemore "Dang it, he's
protecting himself... wait for
another opening."
Peter Venkman "Okay...I'm
drawing a blank here, Egon."
Ray Stantz "The open portal!
Wrangle him into the portal!"
They force Shandor
through the portal.
Ray Stantz "He's through! Now
de-activate your pulse and
we'll cross the streams with
the blast function!"
Egon Spengler "I can't
shut down mine, Ray!"
Peter Venkman "Me too!
Me neither, I mean!"
Winston Zeddemore "Who's idea was it
to attach these things to our bodies?!
Yaaaahhhh!"
The Ghostbusters get pulled into
the portal. They arrive in the
Ghostworld and race up the stairs.
Shandor, in a new form, creates a
throne. Peter pauses then proceeds
to heckle Shandor.
Peter Venkman "Hey, Shandor!
Where's your Destructor Form
now? Leave it in your other suit?"
Ivo Shandor "I have chosen!
I am the Destructor. I am
the Architect!"
Ray Stantz "Oh, no."
Egon Spengler "That's very bad."
Peter Venkman "The Architect?
Haha...that's not so scary.
The Contractor. That's who
kills you!"
Ray Stantz "Peter...you
don't understand. He's
the Architect, and he
controls Ghostworld!"
Egon Spengler "And he can
come into our world. And
what do architects do?"
Peter Venkman "Well, they dream
and they have mechanical pencils
and they forget to put in linen
closets."
Ray Stantz "And build
OVER things!!"
Ivo Shandor "I will pave
over your fields to start anew!
I will fill your seas
with concrete and stone!"
Peter Venkman "Woah take
a break! Do you ever shut up?"
Ivo Shandor "I will pierce your
world with girders of steel
and panes of glass!"
Ray Stantz "Yeah...No! Listen!"
Ivo Shandor "I will crush your
world under the weight of my cities!"
Winston Zeddemore "That's just
mean super villain threats, Ray.
All those guys talk like that."
Ivo Shandor "I will smother
your creation under my own!"
Winston Zeddemore "He's using
the mask to protect himself,
wrangle it and smash it to pieces!
Here comes big daddy, watch out!"
Ivo Shandor falls to the ground
and tries to rush the guys. They
wrangle him in Capture Streams.
Egon Spengler "It's time!
Cross the streams!"
Ray gestures Rookie to join in.
All five Proton Streams are crossed.
Ivo Shandor "Noooooooo!!!!"
Ivo Shandor is destroyed.
The screen fills with white light.
Ilyssa comes to. Peter
picks her up from the altar.
Peter Venkman "I've got you."
Ilyssa "I'm fine! Really."
Peter Venkman "Make a path.
Coming through."
Ilyssa "This is either the
worst, or the best, pick-up
line of all time."
Peter Venkman "By the way,
you're a descendant of Shandor."
Ilyssa "Yeah...I kinda got that."
Ray and Winston help
the Mayor up to his feet.
Mayor Mulligan "Ha, ha! The
Ghostbusters! Hey, fellas!
What are you doing here?
(then looking around confused)
Oh...what am I doing here?
Uh... where is here?"
Ray Stantz "You were the
victim of a trans-dimensional
possession, your Honor."
Winston Zeddemore "An evil
ghost was walking around
in your body for a few months."
Mayor Mulligan "Oh. Did
anyone notice? How's my
approval rating?"
Egon Spengler "Well,
you were re-elected."
The mausoleum rumbles.
Winston Zeddemore "That's
our cue. It is officially
time for us to go."
Peck is still
bound to the wall.
Walter Peck "I'm
asking you to get me down!"
Egon Spengler "You hear something?"
Peter Venkman "Nope. Nada.
Not a thing."
Mayor Mulligan "You can't
leave him there...can you?"
The energy holding up Peck
disperses and he falls to the ground.
13. Cinematic Six (After Level 7)
=================================
Ray Stantz "Looks like things
are gonna be a little slow
around here for a while."
Winston Zeddemore "Which means
we might be heavy one too many
Ghostbusters in New York."
Ilyssa "Wait. You're not going
to fire him after everything
he's done!"
Peter Venkman "No. Of course
not. Louis has been scouting
locations. And I think we're
prepared to offer a potentially
lucrative Ghostbusters franchise
in either Chicago, Los Angeles,
or Cincinnati. I'll pick."
Egon Spengler "So...are you
ready to expand the Ghostbusters
family on a semi-equitable basis
and be your own boss?"
Peter Venkman "And wear
a very cool uniform."
Ray Stantz "So Cadet, whaddya say?"
Slimer interrupts and flies
around. Rookie tries to recapture Slimer.
