1. Introduction
---------------
Ahh, memories. I remember when my brother got the Turbo Grafix 16, and he
picked up Keith Courage and a few others. Sure, this is not the most
graphically greatest game, or greatest gameplay, but who doesn't like henshin.
Also, this game is apparently based on a anime.
--------
2. Story
--------
I got the story off a comic strip that advertised the game. In the year 2004,
planet Earth is hit by a meteorite, which a group of aliens called BAD,
{Beastly Alien Dudes}, has traveled on. BAD begins taking over and burrows
underground, creating seven levels of elemental zones, called the Alpha Zones.
To counter attack BAD, NICE, {Nations for International Citizens of Earth}, is
formed. You are Keith Courage, and your father is a scientist, who creates the
Nova Suit, a suit that will allow him to enter the Alpha Zones and struck back.
During his attack he is killed and before he dies, he gives you the Nova Suit.
Now with you Nova Suit and your friends right behind to aid you, you set out
into the Alpha Zones.
----------------
3. Controls/Tips
----------------
D-Pad - Move Keith
Run Button - Pause
Select Button - /
II Button - Attack
I Button - Jump
- Enter hut by pressing Up on the D-Pad.
- Press Down on the D-Pad to crouch.
- If you die, you can continue from the beginning of the zone, but with half
the money and only three Life Points.
- If you want to make some quick money, look for a monster spawning area. This
is the place where the monster first pops into the screen. When you find it,
just let the enemy come to you and kill it, and another enemy will appear
shortly after.
- When you jump forward and press back on the D-Pad, you will pause and drop
straight down. This is a good technique for moving platforms.
--------
4. Items
--------
Here is the list of items you will come across in the game. Also listed is the
price for each level.
Bolt Bombs - Small , blue energy spheres that are shot through the sword. You
can purchase a set of thirty Bolt Bombs or more from the Wise
Wizard. You can only use Bolt Bombs with your Nova Suit.
- Rock Zone - 100 Gold
- Reverse Zone - 200 Gold
- Fire Zone - NA
- Toxic Zone - 200 Gold
- Glacier Zone - 200 Gold
- Magic Zone - 200 Gold
- Robo Zone - 200 Gold
Bolt Increaser - A large blue sphere with a number on it. Increases amount of
Bolt Bombs shot and direction. This also increases the amount
the Bolt Bombs used. Getting a lower number decreases you Bolt
Bomb Level.
- Level 1-Single Bolt Bomb shot vertically.
- Level 2-Single Bolt Bomb shot vertically.
- Level 3-Two Bolt Bombs. One shot vertically, the second short
45* up.
- Level 4-Six Bolts. Three shot forward in a spread shot
pattern. The other three fired backwards in a spread
shot pattern.
- Level 5-Five Bolts. Five fired in a horizontal arc.
Gold - A small, golden coin. The currency of the game and gives you fifty for
each coin. Drop by enemies from the Overworld.
Heart - A small red heart. Restores one Life Point. Also, you occasionally get
a Heart that restores all Life Points and also increase you maximum
Life Points by one.
Nova Suit - Allows you to enter the second area of the zone. Found at the end
of the first zones. Press Up at the small hut and the rainbow beam
will transport you and equip you with the suit. The suit will
increase your speed, and also gives you an energy sword. The suit
also allows you to fire Bolt Bombs.
Ruby - A small red coin. Worth 200 Gold pieces and only dropped by Golden Cats.
Sword: Gold: Location: Description:
Nova Sword NA Rock Zone Your first and basic energy sword. Blue
in color and has the shortest range of
the swords.
Brave Sword 300 Reverse Zone A red and slightly stronger version of
the Nova Sword.
Thunder Sword 600 Fire Zone Blue again, but stronger and twice as
long as the first two swords.
Laser Sword 1200 Toxic Zone Once again red, but stronger and just
as long as the Thunder Sword.
Jewel Sword 2400 Glacier Zone Blue once again, but stronger and 3x as
long as the first two swords.
Alpha Sword 4800 Magic Zone The final sword in the game. For the
9600 Robo Zone last time red. The strongest sword in
the game and is just as long as the
Jewel Sword.

5. Characters
-------------
Here is the list of Characters that you will meet during your quest, and how
they will help you. I tried to find the character's real names, {if any}, but
it was unsuccessful.
Nurse Nancy
The young lady will cure you for a price. She will sometimes offer information.
The cost of curing varies from level to level. In the first Zone, it costs 200
Gold to cure you, but after that, it cost 400 Gold. Also, she says she can
increase your Life Points, but I have not seen this happen.
The Prophet
This elderly man will warn you of dangers and give you other information during
your quest.
The Weapon Master
This middle-aged man will sell you new swords for your Nova Suit, during your
quest. He will sometimes offer other information. The strength and length of
the swords increase for each level, as does the price.
The Wise Wizard
This elderly man will sell you Bolt Bombs for your Nova Suit, during your
quest. He will sometimes offer other information. The amount of Bolt Bombs he
gives you increase for each level. The price of Bolt Bombs starts out as 100
Gold in the first Zone, then 200 Gold from Zone two to four, and from Zone five
to seven, 400 Gold.
----------
6. Enemies
----------
Here is the list of enemies you will face across the Alpha Zones. I can't
remember some of the enemy's names from the book, so of course I had to make
some up. Also, all enemies change color when in a different zone, and they are
also stronger then the last zone. Note, the HP may change depending on which
sword you have. The enemy list is arranged by appearance.
Overworld Enemies
Pygmy
HP - 1
Strange, little creatures with a round body and two little eyes. Your basic
enemy, so they only move in one direction, until they fall off the ledge or get
turned around by a wall. Also, they occasionally float down from an angle.
Cheetah
HP - 1
These felines start out as curled up and falling from the sky. They land with a
bounce then dash across the screen in your direction. For Cheetahs, they are
not really fast and can easily be killed while they are falling.
Mole
HP - 1
Small, upright walking moles with a suit and hardhat. Like the Pygmy, they move
in one direction, until they hit a wall and reverse direction. They however
don't fall off ledges.
Bell Bouncers
HP - 1
Strange, little creatures that resemble a bell, {hence the name}. They move by
bouncing across the screen and they don't stop. They bounce at head level, so
you can crouch to avoid them. Other then that, there quite easy to kill, but
just avoid edges, because they can easily push you off.
Lucky Cat
HP - 1
These cats are part of the Chinese culture. These little cats hold a gold coin
in one paw and hold the other paw up. They fly from either left or right,
{depending on where you face}, and when they reach your position, they drop
right down. They usually have more then one Gold piece. Other then that, they
are fairly easy to kill. If you kill a lot of them, a Golden Cat will appear.
Golden Cat
HP - 1
These cats only appear if you kill a certain amount of Lucky Cats, in some
areas. Like the name implies, these are golden versions of Lucky Cats. They use
the same tactics as the Lucky Cats, but once defeated, they drop a Ruby.
Underworld Enemies
Skull
HP - 1
Flying, purple skulls that chatter away as they attack. The start flying from
the top right of the screen to the left side of the screen. The turn around and
pause for about two or three seconds. Then they move down to your elevation and
move from left to right. Fairly easy and usually come in pairs. Just attack
when it gets close to you. If you feel you need to dodge them, jump over them
at the right time.
Spider Crab
HP - 1
Strange looking creatures with spider/crab like legs and object on top of their
heads. It is rather a horn, or it's actual head. Whatever it is, it looks like
a bird's head. They move back and forth in a small area, until you get close.
Then they dash right through you and off the screen. Their quite quick so time
you attacks or jumps.
Revolver
HP - 4
Large, robotic humanoid creatures with a six-shooter revolver that extends
around the back, on the shoulders and replaces the location of the head. A
large face is placed on the chest of this creature. The move in one direction,
turn around when they hit a wall and they do fall off edges. As they do this,
they pause frequently to fire off a large bullet from their barrel. Luckily,
you can just crouch to dodge the attack. So crouch, wait for them to come to
you and attack.
Head Hopper
HP - 1
A large, horned skull attached to two legs. Like the name suggest, the hop
about in one direction. They will of course change direction if they hit a wall
and they do jump off ledges. They also jump at two different lengths. For
instance they can jump really high, but only travel short distance, and they
can make a short but lengthy jump. Other then that, there is not much to it to
killing them.
Dr. Syringe
HP - 3
A robotic doctor, complete with a large syringe attached to it's back,
stereotypical headgear and syringes as weapons. They fly from right to left in
a square pattern, {Up, Left, Down, Right}, and while they are above you, they
bombard you with up to several syringes. You can however, destroy the syringes.
The best way to attack is to wait for it to descend and move right. Then attack
as soon as it gets close.
Red Skull
HP - 1
These skulls look like the aliens from the "Alien" series. They move up and
down in a wave pattern and there elevation level can be different. Other then
that, either avoid them or kill them.
Munition Clone
HP - 6
Different colored of course, and has one more Hit Point then the original
brothers. Other then that, the same tactics as the originals
Frankenclaw Clone
HP - 4, 6
More boss enemies, goody. Weaker, and a different color. Same tactics apply
from the original, but it should take you less time to kill.
Magician Clone
HP - 8
Another boss clone. Two Hit Points weaker, and a different color scheme. Other
then that, same tactics as the original.
---------
7. Bosses
---------
Here is the list of bosses, straight from the walkthrough. I could not remember
or find their real names, so off course I made them up, {except for the last
boss}.
Munition Brothers
Rock Zone
HP - 5, 5
These two robotic bosses look somewhat like a red and yellow version of the
Nova Suit. With rockets boots, they fly back and forth, in a N shaped, {or arc}
pattern. When they near your elevation level, they pause, turn and fire their
cannon. The bullets look like red minesweepers, and they can fire up to several
at a time. This battle can be quite easy, but can get annoying. Begin by moving
slowly to the right and pause every few steps for about three seconds. You will
see one of the brother's fly towards you and you can begin your attack. One
strategy is to wait for one of the brothers to get near you and then attack.
When it flies back, run the opposite direction, the brother goes off screen and
it's bullets can't reach you. Then go back to where you were and repeat. As you
are doing this, you will probably see the other brother get near you, so it
will probably easier for you if you attack it as well. Another strategy is to
keep attack as it moves back and forth. Also, when you attack them, you cancel
their attack and push them back a bit. Other then that, this should not take
long.
Frankenclaw
Reverse Zone
HP - 8
A large head that resembles Frankenstein's Monster's head, with two robotic
claw arms and legs attached. It moves a few steps at a time and then unleashes
it's weapon. It fires off it's claw, which is attached to a chain, and then
retracts it. It has good medium range. You either attack it once then jump to
dodge it's attack and repeat. Or you can just keep hitting it while taking the
punishment. Either way, this battle won't take long.
Magician
Fire Zone
HP - 10
A flying robot, with a large mustache and top hat, {and very pink too}. It
disappears and reappears in the air. When it reappears, it throws a card at
you, then disappears again. Two of it's cards can take one Life Point away. You
can however, destroy the cards it throws. Not much to this boss, so just jump
and attack when it appears, then run away before it throws it's card. Or if
your good, attack it just as it throws it's card, so you not only destroy it's
projectile but hurt it as well. When you do this though, it tends to throw
another card. Other then that, fairly easy.
Enforcer
Toxic Zone
HP - 15
Now this is a big and hard boss, {actually more annoying then hard}. The big
robot swoops back and forth in a U shaped pattern. Before it does, it fires a
large, energy sphere from it's horns that takes one Life Point away and cannot
be destroyed. The elevation of it's swoop changes as well. Also, you can get
hit by it's body when it swoops down, which also takes one Life Point away. So
what's the best strategy to defeat this blue colossus. The best way to kill it
is to let it follow you, the turn around and jump attack it twice, then quickly
crouch. Stay stationary when you jump attack, because jumping forward will only
get you into trouble hurt. Other then that, repeat the tactic.
Frankenclaw & Magician
Glacier Zone
HP - 8, 10
Different colors, same bosses. Use the same tactics as before
Tyrant
Magic Zone
HP - 24
This boss seems to be a fusion of a demon and a robot. With a lower torso of a
robot, and the upper torso of a demon, this multi-headed creature can be a
handful. It has two projectiles attacks. One is a large fireball, {which is
either shot from the eyes, mouth, or mace}, that aims for you. The second is a
lionhead hand, which fires copies of itself and spins in circles around you,
kind of like Dr. Syringe. It doesn't move much, just back and forth in a small
area, while firing it's projectiles. The only strategy you can really use is a
hit and run tactic. Or you can jump up and down while attacking, to dodge it's
attacks. Other then that, this battle may take a while.
Titan
Robo Zone
HP - 20
This boss has two parts to it. It has it upper torso, which is a gold version
of the Enforcer, and it has it's lower torso, which has legs and a dinosaur
like head. Both parts fire the same large, energy sphere. The upper torso first
fires off an energy sphere, then detaches and flies in a U shaped pattern. The
lower torso then dashes through you and turns around to fire while the upper
torso does then same. Then the upper torso flies to the lower torso and
attaches itself to repeat the tactic. This is a difficult battle, and there is
very little you can do. The best strategy I found was to dodge his first energy
sphere, then jump over the lower torso and then dodge the two attacks. Then
when the upper torso moves to attach to the lower torso, start jump attack with
your sword and your Bolt Bombs. Then repeat the tactic. There is however an
easy but cheap way of killing it. You know the left side of the pit I written
earlier? Well jump onto the left piece of land and jump forward into the pit,
so that you keep falling at an angle. You will soon see the boss, but don't
press back on the D-Pad, you want to hit Titan. When you do, a glitch will
execute and Titan will be frozen in place and you can kill it without harm.
--------------
8. Walkthrough
--------------
Each Zone has an Overworld and Underworld. You quest to avenge your father and
save the Earth begins in the Rock Zone.
Rock Zone 1-1
Enemies - Pygmy
Cheetah
Mole
Begin moving right and as you near the house, you will encounter the weak
Pygmy. Kill it and enter the first door. The Prophet will introduce himself and
tell you that this is the Rock Zone. Continue right and before you reach the
nest door, a Cheetah will fall from the sky. Kill it before it hits the ground
and enter the next door. The Weapon Master will introduce himself and sell you
weapons later on in the game. Continue right and a Pygmy will be coming from
behind. Kill it and enter the next door. Nurse Nancy will introduce herself and
cure you if you need it. She will also tell you how to obtain Nova Force.
Before you continue, you may want to go back and forth picking up Gold from
enemies. Also, check Controls/Tips for any get-rich-quick scheme. Continue up
the hill and take out the Mole. Now you will be treated to a little jumping
course. The first course is two platforms moving horizontally, which is
technically the hardest of the two. Then the second is three platforms moving
vertically, which is easy. Under these moving platforms, are glowing, jagged
spikes, which will kill you instantly. Once your across, slowly move down the
hill, because a cheetah will fall. Afterwards, take out the Mole and Pygmy on
ground level. Enter the hut and the Wise Wizard will introduce himself and sell
you Bolt Bombs. You might want to buy at least one set, {which is thirty}.
Continue right and take out a Cheetah. Do a little jumping from platform to
platform and you will reach a small hut. Press Up, and the rainbow beam will
transport and equip you with the Nova Suit.
Rock Zone 1-2
Enemies - Skull
Spider Crab
Revolver
Begin moving right, and Skulls will periodically fly from the right. After the
fourth ruined pillar in the background, you will encounter the first Spider
Crab. Watch it with these guys, they can be fast. Continue on and after another
Spider Crab, a Revolver will make an appearance soon. Remember to crouch attack
these guys to avoid the bullets they fire. Continue right, after a few more
Skulls and a Spider Crab, you will descend and now you have to move left. Note,
watch out for the gray, rock platforms, because they will break under you.
Continue left and you will face a Revolver, Spider Crab twice in a row.
Be careful of the Spider Crabs on this floor, because some are on higher
elevation then you and will easily fall on you. After a third Spider Crab, you
will descend again, and you will be moving right. Continue right, and after
about two Spider Crabs, you will have to jump over some spikes, {which will
instantly kill you}, and land on a platform with an enemy. The first two are
Revolvers, and the last is the a Spider Crab. Afterwards you will descend again
and start moving left. This floor is exactly like the second floor, only now
there is more Spider Crabs and Revolvers. When you reach the end, you will
descend into the boss fight.
Munition Brothers
HP - 5, 5
These two robotic bosses look somewhat like a red and yellow version of the
Nova Suit. With rockets boots, they fly back and forth, in a U shaped pattern.
When they near your elevation level, they pause, turn and fire their cannon.
The bullets look like red minesweepers, and they can fire up to several at
a time.
Other then that, this should not take
long.
Reverse Zone 2-1
Enemies - Pygmy
Bell Bouncers
A small note, the enemies on this zone can hurt you. Begin moving forward and
after a Pygmy, you will see a hut. Just before you reach the door, a Pygmy and
a Bell Bouncer will spawn. Afterwards, you can enter the hut if you need curing
from Nurse Nancy. She will also tell you this is the Reverse Zone, so be
be careful. Continue right and you will see why they call it the Reverse Zone.
Parts of the zone is upside down, even the enemies. You have to cross small,
rock platforms to cross the areas. This is actually easier, because you will
only have to worry about your jumping and the Bell Bouncers. When you reach the
end, you will reach another hut with the Wise Wizard. If you need Bolt Bombs,
their 200 Gold. He also tells you to look for the Brave Sword on this zone.
Continue up the hill and after a Pygmy, enter the hut and buy he Brave Sword.
If you don't have the money, go back down the hill, then back up and stop at
the edge. Here is the spawning point of that Pygmy earlier. Continue right and
you will enter another reversed area. There is only one Pygmy in the middle of
the area that you have to worry a bit about. Other then that, the Nova Suit hut
is at the end.
Reverse Zone 2-2
Enemies - Skull
Head Hopper
Dr. Syringe
Before you begin to move, be careful of the small cracks between the platforms,
because you can easily fall through and kill yourself on red spikes. Begin
moving right. You will see a Skull flying from the right and soon you will
encounter the Head Hopper. Continue up the hill, but don't jump to the next
platform, because chances are that multiple Skulls will block your way and
there is a Head Hopper on that platform. So kill the Skulls as you jump and
attack the Head Hopper quickly. Soon after you will face Dr. Syringe. Watch for
his bombardment and be ready to kill it when it gets close. Continue right and
after a few more Skulls, you will descend and have to move left. You should be
able to get a Heart that increases you Life Points by one of next Dr. Syringes.
Continue left and another Dr. Syringe will attack. Take it out and continue
left. You will have to jump over some red spikes, and there will be a bunch of
Head Hoppers around. Continue left and after another Dr. Syringe, you will
descend again and move right. Continue right and after another Dr. Syringe,
their will a few jumps to make over some red spikes and a few Head Hoppers to
get in your way. When you reach some breakable platforms, be careful not only
to jump off them, but also jump on them. Afterwards is Dr. Syringe, another
small jump and then you will have to ascend. The problem is their is rocks
falling down as you try to jump up. Also, there is disappearing and reappearing
rock platforms. You can jump through them, but it's hard to not to hit your
head against another platform. There is no easy way to do this another
practice. When you reach the top, you will soon descend through a lengthy hole
to the boss.
Frankenclaw
Fire Zone 3-1
Enemies - Mole
Lucky Cat
Golden Cat
Before moving forward, you should be wary of the red rocks flying about this
level, so be careful. Enter the first hut you see, and the Weapons Master will
welcome you to the Fire Zone and tell you to watch for the Golden Cat. Exit and
take out the Mole. Continue forward and before you reach the next door, you
will encounter the Lucky Cat, a Mole. Remember, if you kill sixteen Lucky Cats,
a Golden Cat will reveal itself. Enter the next hut and the Prophet will tell
you to venture forth when you feel strong enough and tell you to beware of Fire
Zone's hazards. Continue right and you will see the hazards. You will have to
pass mini volcanoes, {which erupts three times then pauses for three seconds},
and cross an area of lava. I suggest jumping across. When you reach the end,
continue right and enter the next door. Nurse Nancy will greet you and cure you
for 400 Gold, and also tell you to look for the Thunder Sword in this zone.
Continue right, and more Lucky Cats will drop and another pool of lava awaits
you. When you passed the lava, go up the steps, kill the Mole and enter the
hut. The Weapons Master will sell you the Thunder Sword for 600 Gold. If you
don't have the money, go left and you will not only reach the a spawning ground
for Lucky Cats, but also be at the same elevation that their on, making it
easier to kill them. Afterwards, continue right and there will be another mini
volcano and large pool of lava. When you cross it, there will be a small land
mass with a hut. Enter the hut for some curing if you need it and Nurse Nancy
will tell that the Nova Force is close by. Continue right and after two more
lava pools, the Nova Suit hut will be at the end.
Fire Zone 3-2
Enemies - Red Skulls
Revolver
Dr. Syringe
Skulls
Before you begin, you should know that there are fire geysers that spew out
flame once in a while and they cannot be seen until they do. Also, this level
continually moves from left to right and you only descend to the boss battle.
Begin moving forward and you will encounter Red Skulls. Don't worry about them
too much and continue. You will encounter a Revolver soon after. Kill it and
continue forward. Be careful now, because the fire geysers will start popping
up. You will encounter another Revolver and Dr. Syringe. You should be able to
get a Life Points increaser from one of the Dr. Syringes. Continue right, and
you will have to descend into a small area, and you will have to jump out again
at the other side. Be careful where you jump, because there are red spikes
around. Continue right and up, and you will meet a Revolver. Watch for the fire
geysers, there is four of them. The next pit you fall in is a little tricky.
You have to jump on the far right pillar, then jump to a breakable rock
platform to the left and jump to the main land to the right. The problem you
may encounter is that you may bump your head against the main land and fall to
your doom, so be careful. When you reach the top you will go through a
gauntlet of Skulls, Revolvers and Red Skulls. Once through, you will descend
into another pit. Continue right and more Red Skulls will attack along the way.
You will also encounter Revolvers and two Dr. Syringes. After the second Dr.
Syringe, you will reach a small gap where you have to jump over some fire wisps
to get to the some rock platforms. When you reach the top, jump at the right
edge of the platform, into a boss battle.
Magician
Toxic Zone 4-1
Enemies - Lucky Cat
Pygmy
Bell Bouncer
Begin moving forward, and Lucky Cats, Pygmies and Bell Bouncers will all attack
in that order. When you reach the first house, enter it and the Prophet will
tell you to look for the Laser Sword. Continue forward, and when you find a
flying Pygmy, you will see smoke coming out of pillars. Like the name of the
Zone, this smoke is toxic. Like the mini volcanoes in the Fire Zone, the spew
puffs of smoke 3x every few seconds. Continue forward, and enter the next house
you see. Buy some Bolt Bombs, because you will get fifty for 200 Gold. He will
also tell you of the toxic chimney smoke. Continue forward and you will reach a
large pit of red spikes. You have to do a little jumping course on some moving
platforms. Afterward, continue down the hill, {and watch out for falling
Pygmies} and the next house you enter is Nurse Nancy. Get cured if you need to,
and she will also tell you that the Nova Suit is near by. Continue on, and
after being bombarded by Pygmies and Bell Bouncers, you will reach the Weapons
Master hut. Buy the Laser Sword, and continue to the Nova Suit hut.
Toxic Zone 4-2
Enemies - Spider Crab
Munition Clone
Revolver
Red Skull
Begin moving forward, and watch out for the returning Spider Crabs. You will
soon descend and go left. Watch out for the red spikes, and you will descend
again and go right. After a Spider Crab, you will encounter a Munition Clone,
so beware. You should be able to get a Life Point increaser from one of them.
Continue right, and after a Revolver, you will have to jump on the pillars and
go up. It shouldn't be to hard, just time your jumps with the
disappearing/reappearing rock platforms and watch out for the red spikes. When
you reach the top, Red Skulls will begin to appear. Continue right, and you
will go through a Red Skulls, a Munition Clone, and a Revolver. When you reach
the end, you will see a disappearing/reappearing rock platform. Jump on it and
jump onto the next platform. Jump at the edge of the platform all the way to
the right, and you should land on a pillar. Wait for the rock platform to
appear and climb up. Continue right through another gauntlet of all the enemies
on this Zone. You will then descend and move left. Move left and take out any
enemy in your way, {you will encounter Spider Crabs and a Revolver}. You will
descend again, and move right. Continue right through Spider Crabs, Revolvers,
{and Munition Clones if you go back and forth}, and fall into the next pit you
see. You will then face the boss.
Enforcer
Glacier Zone 5-1
Enemies - Lucky Cat
Mole
Bell Bouncer
This level is little bit longer then the first few. Begin moving forward, and
after a few Moles and Lucky Cats, enter the first house you see. The Prophet
will tell you this is the Glacier Zone and to require a lot of Gold for the
Jewel Sword. Then continue right and you will see an ice area, which is one of
many. Of course you will be slipping about a bit, but it's not turn hard to get
used to. Continue right and a Bell Bouncer will attack. After the ice area,
watch out for a bunch of enemies at the end. Continue forward and up the next
ice area. The second jump is blocked by a Mole on the next platform you have to
jump. Wait for it to go left, before you jump forward, because then it will
reverse course and give you room to land. Continue right, and after another ice
area, enter the next door you see. Get cured if you need to and Nurse Nancy
will tell you the Nova Force is nearby, {but you really have about half a level
to go}. The next door is the Weapons Master, but he will only tell you to look
for him later for the Jewel Sword. The Jewel Sword costs whopping 2400 Gold, so
I suggest you start collecting soon, if you don't have that kind of money.
Continue right, and another hut will appear. Buy some Bolt Bombs if you need
them and then continue forward. Another couple of ice areas will appear. When
you reach the second ice area, remember what you did before with the Mole.
After the fourth ice area, you will see two more doors. The first one is the
Weapons Master, who will sell you the Jewel Sword. The second is Nurse Nancy,
so if you need curing, get it and she will also tell you that the Nova Force
is nearby, {and this time, she ant lying}. Continue right, and after the final
ice area, you will reach the Nova Suit hut.
Glacier Zone 5-2
Enemies - Skull
Dr. Syringe
Red Skull
Munition Clone
Head Hopper
Even this area has some slippery blue floors. Now you can either take the long
way, which has all the enemies in the list, or the a short way, which is to
fall down the first pit you see and you won't have to face a bunch of enemies.
I suggest the short cut, and you will descend one floor, then descend another
floor and move right. You will encounter some Red Skulls and a Dr. Syringe,
which should have a Life Point increaser. At the end, you will descend to
another floor and continue moving right. On the way, you can just pass the
Munition Brothers, and only take out the Head Hoppers, Red Skulls, and Dr.
Syringe if they get in your way. At the end, you have to climb some rock
platforms, {which of course break and reform}, back up one floor. Continue
left and after two Dr. Syringes and some Head Hoppers, continue up three
annoying rock platforms to another floor. Continue right and after a Dr.
Syringe, more rock platforms to another floor. Watch out for two Munition
Clones, one on either side of the exit. Continue right, descend, go left,
descend, and go right and descend for the last time into a double boss battle.
Of course you will encounter enemies along the way.
Frankenclaw & Magician
HP - 8, 10
Different colors, same bosses. Use the same tactics as before
Magic Zone 6-1
Enemies - Lucky Cat
Pygmy
Bell Bouncer
Mole
Begin moving forward, and you will encounter Lucky Cats, Pygmies and Bell
Bouncers. I suggest you pick up some Gold around here, until you have 4800 Gold
pieces, because that is what the Alpha Sword is going to cost. Enter the first
house you see and Nurse Nancy will tell you this is the Magic Zone and she is
going to try some magic. Continue forward, and you will see two more doors. The
first one is the Prophet and he will tell you in order to save the Earth, you
will need the Alpha Sword, {I'm not sure if this is technically true}. The
second is Nurse Nancy again and she will tell you of a failed attempt at magic.
Continue on, and the next door you enter is the Weapons Master. He will ask you
to give magic lessons to Nurse Nancy. Continue forward, and you will cross your
first multi-layered temple, {or castle}. Afterwards, enter the next house you
see another two doors. The first has the Prophet again and he will tell you
that you are brave and to keep going. The next door is Nurse Nancy, who will
cure you and tell you that the Nova Force is nearby, {why must she lie}.
Continue forward, and the next house you see is the Wise Wizard. He will of
course sell you Bolt Bombs and tell you to be careful. Continue forward, and
once you passed temple-like ground, another hut. The Weapons Master will tell
you that there may be lower price weapons on other Zones, {whatever that
means}. Continue forward into the next hut, and the Wise Wizard will tell you
that the Magic Zone is reducing his powers. Climb up the moving platforms and
you will have a small jumping course to go through, {only three moving
platforms}. You will reach another two doors. The first is Nurse Nancy, who
will tell you to leave, because she is practicing magic. The next is the
Prophet, who will encourage you to keep going. Continue forward and the next
hut is Nurse Nancy, who will cure you and tell you that the Nova Force is
nearby, {LIAR!}. Cross some more moving platforms to another two doors. The
first is the Weapons Master, who will tell you that his weapons are good for
other Zones, {what useful information}. The next is the Wise Wizard, who will
sell you Bolt Bombs. Continue on again, and after a dark temple and moving
platforms, another door. This is the last time to get cured and Nurse Nancy
will truthfully tell you that Nova Force is nearby. Continue forward and the
last door has the Weapons Master, who will sell you the final sword, the Alpha
Sword. Continue to the Nova Suit hut.
Magic Zone 6-2
Enemies - Revolver
Frankenclaw Clone
Dr. Syringe
Begin moving right, and watch out for Revolvers from in front of you and
behind. Continuing on and you will face a Frankenclaw Clone. Finish it off and
continue to a Dr. Syringe. You should get a Life Point increaser from one of
those enemies. Afterwards, jump into the hole and go left. You will encounter
another Frankenclaw Clone, and some Revolvers before you reach the next hole to
descend. Continue right, and after the Frankenclaw Clone, there will be another
large spiked pit to jump over. The tricky part is that you have to jump on a
rock platform. The next part is a little tricky, because you are presented with
multiple holes to go down. Do not go into the first hole you see, go in the
second one and go left. You should reach another hole, where you will have to
move right, after descending. Then continue right, and you will reach the last
hole to go in. As you move from the first hole you descend, you will be attack
by Frankenclaw Clones and Dr. Syringes.
Tyrant
Robo Zone 7-1
Enemies - Pygmy
Mole
Bell Bouncer
Lucky Cat
The last Zone has a lot of conveyer belts and strange, buildings, {they look
like they are made of pipes}. Also, watch out for flying boulders. Begin moving
forward, and a Pygmy and Mole will attack. Enter the house, and the Prophet
will tell you that this is the Robo Zone and to kill the last boss, you have to
attack it's head. Continue forward, and after a boulder, you will see your
first conveyer belt. Be careful with these, because your jumps can get tricky.
Afterwards, climb the strange building and be careful of Bell Bouncers.
Continue forward, and after a long conveyer belt, you will see a double door
hut. The first door is the Weapons Master, who will tell you to listen to the
Prophet, because he has seen the last boss. The second door is the Wise Wizard,
so buy Bolt Bombs if you think you need them. Continue on to the lone hut to
see Nurse Nancy, who will basically talk about the conveyer belts. Continue
forward and after a long conveyer belt, you will climb a strange building and
have jump onto some moving platforms. Afterwards, continue on to another lone
hut and the Weapons Master will tell you that this Zone is the most dangerous
of them all. Continue forward, and after another strange building and long
conveyer belt, you will soon see another two-door hut. The first door is Nurse
Nancy, who will cure you and tell you that the Nova Force is near by, {which is
true}. The second is the Weapons Master, who will sell you the Alpha Sword for
9600 Gold! Hope you bout it in the Magic Zone. Continue past a small conveyer
belt to the Nova Suit hut.
Robo Zone 7-2
Enemies - Red Skull
Revolver
Magician Clone
Frankenclaw Clone
Spider Crab
This is it, the final area. Begin moving forward and after a few Red Skulls, a
Revolver will pop up. Soon after you will see some conveyer belts, and be
careful of the last one, because it's fast. Afterwards, continue forward and a
Magician Clone will pop up. You may want to take this one out, so it doesn't
follow you everywhere. Continue on, and after another fast conveyer belt, you
will see a pit to jump in and a stronger Frankenclaw Clone at the right edge of
the pit. Continue left and after a Revolver, you will see your first of a few
tricky jump courses that you will have to do in this Zone. You have to jump
over some spikes and land on a small platform in-between spikes. Sounds like
fun? No. Especially when there are enemies around you. Afterwards, continue
left and after a fast conveyer belt, you will see another Frankenclaw Clone and
a Magician Clone soon after. Continue left, and you will see another pit,
guarded by a Frankenclaw Clone on the left edge. Continue right and after
another fast conveyer belt, another pit and another Frankenclaw Clone. Continue
right and if you want to avoid the Frankenclaw Clone, use the pillars.
Afterwards, another jumping course. Continue right and you will see two rock
platforms, with a fast conveyer belt in-between and a Magician Clone around it.
Take out the Magician Clone first, then climb out of the hole. Continue right
and you will face the last Frankenclaw Clone and Magician Clone, who guard
the final boss. Continue right and fall done the pit and slowly go left. When
you see another piece of land on the left, stop and read the boss strategy
first, before you face the Titan
Titan
Ending

9.Review
--------
Graphics = 3
Sound/Music = 3
Gameplay = 3.5
Overall = 3
Sure, it's not the best game ever, but it certainly isn't the worst.
Graphically, it's OK. It has nice big and colorful graphics, but nothing ground
breaking. The graphics get slightly better when you are in the Underworld
Zones. Sound/Music is OK. There is only one track for the Overworld and there
are a few tracks for the Underworld. The Music however, does fit the game quite
well. It could of had more Sound FX as well. Gameplay is good, but not great.
The Overworld is quite slow and not too exciting, but the Underworld is a lot
more challenging and fast pace. I wish there were more game mechanics though,
like more abilities with the Nova Suit, and etc. I also wished that there is a
password system, but at least they give you infinite continues. Overall, a
decent game for a game that originally came with the Turbo Grafix and I asked
that you at least try and beat once.
