What's New:
Thursday, 25 October 2001.
-I added in a Ratings Of The Turtles section, another way to beat the pink
blocking foot soldiers, changed Lead Head to Leatherhead like it should be,
plus another tip on how to beat him, and added some more information on
Shredder's attacks. Thanks to Tortilla Godzilla for pointing this out. If you
see an asterix occasionally in this FAQ, it means that it was sent in by
Tortilla Godzilla.

1. Introduction:

Greetings fellow TMNT fan! My name is Wild Gunman, and I will try and help you
with any problems you might have with this game. When I was 6, I absolutely
LOVED the Ninja Turtles. I watched every episode, had every single action
figure, from Leonardo to Shredder, had T-Shirts, posters, hats, everything! I
also had this game, which I loved alot, it is like Streets Of Rage and Final
Fight, where you walk around beating up the bad guys. Great show, great game,
go and get it!

Now, on to the guide!

2. The Guide

I. Big Apple, 3.AM

You are at a construction site. This is a good place to learn some of the
moves. If you press both Y and B together, you will do a special attack. Use it
when necessary. Anyhoo, go around beating up the foot clan. Watch out for the
wrecking ball, it will squash you if you get under it  so avoid. Make sure you
get all the pizza you can. Krang will appear at one point and shoot out lasers
from its eyes which will electrocute you if you get too close. Do not go
anywhere near it.  When you get to a dead end, Baxter will come and want to
terminate you!

BOSS FIGHT: Baxter

Baxter likes to fly around shooting you. When he is on the ground, walk up to
him and hit him with everything you got. When he flys, shoot and attack him. At
the moment, Baxter is only firing  machine gun bullets but if you do enough
damage to him, Baxter will switch weapons and shoot out  this huge sticky hand.
Avoid it and keep on hitting him until his health runs out.

II. Alleycat Blues

There is not much to follow here, just bash the bad guys. You can hit the fire
extinguisher to hit the enemies. At one point, these small robots appear which
like to grab and shock you, make sure to get rid of them. You'll be introduced
to the bomb pizza here, this will turn you into a tornado, making you
invincible for a short time. Use it! Get to the end and Metal Head will jump
out.

BOSS FIGHT: Metal Head.

For a hunk of metal, Metal Head sure is agile. He likes to jump around
extending his arms and legs to hurt you. Just walk up to him and pound away.
Sometimes, he will go to the side of the screen and shoot continuous ray beams
at you, jump to avoid them. Keep on hitting him and he'll explode, leaving
behind a pile of nuts and bolts.

III. Sewer Surfin'

In this level you are on a surf board, riding in the sewer. The foot soldiers
on the boards only need one hit and they will die. The most dangerous soldiers
are the blue ones with the swords. At  one point, there are huge spikes which
move up and down. To avoid them, move to the bottom of the screen. You should
get the pizza boxes to get extra health and points. After that, these huge
yellow monsters jump in the air trying to claw you, jump and attack them. Your
points will be tallied up at the end. Shortly after, The Rat King will appear
out of no where with his machine.

BOSS FIGHT: The Rat King.

Where it says "Break Point" is where you can hit him, so hit! Watch out though,
Rat King likes to shoot out spiky balls which will send you to a toe doctor if
they hit you, so move away when this  happens. Keep on hitting him until he
goes away.

Now you will be shown a cut scene of the turtles jumping in the Technodrome.
Let's kick shell!

IV. Technodrome.

Bash the enemies, but watch out for those mousers who like to chomp on you arm!
Keep on bashing them and getting pizza until you reach the end. Rahzar and
Tokka will show up.

BOSS FIGHT: Rahzar and Tokka.

This guys are tough nuts! Rahzar and Tokka both have deadly attacks. Tokka
likes to freeze you, and Rahzar likes to burn you to a crisp! Just attack,
using your regular and special attacks. Go in between them, and when they try
to bump into you, move down! They'll bump into each other! They're strong, but
they're aren't too smart. After you finish them, Tokka will turn back into a
tortoise and Rahzar will turn back into a dog. It ain't over yet though. Go
through the door.

Now you are in an elevator. Each time you reach a floor, you will face foot
soldiers. This isn't difficult until you reach the pink soldiers. They will
always block your attacks so when it comes  to fighting them, use your special
attack by pressing Y and B together, remember? Another way is to run and press
B to ram into them.*

When you make it to the top, Shredder will be waiting for you in a spider like
machine.

BOSS FIGHT: Shredder.

Shredder fills up half of the screen. DO NOT GO NEAR THE TARGET ZONE!! A
special strategy must be developed to defeat him. There are foot soldiers
roaming around where you fight. You must throw them towards the screen. To do
that, attack them once, then press right (or left, depending on which side you
are on) and B together and you will throw them in Shredder's path, giving him
damage. Continue this, and Shredder's machine will break down.

But Shredder will escape, and send you back in time!

First stop, the dinosaur ages...

V. 2500000000000 B.C-Prehistoric Turtlesauras.

Your first stop in time will be back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Watch
out when you start the level, pterodactyls will drop rocks on you.
Unfortunately, the foot soldiers made it back in time too!
Continue your pattern of bashing and moving. When you reach the cave,
stalactites fall from the ceiling, do not stand below them. In this level, the
Rock Soldiers make their first appearance. These Rock Soldiers can take a lot
of damage and some of them carry guns. They aren't impossible to defeat, so
just attack them. When you leave the cave, T-Rexes will start to run around,
don't go in their path or you'll be stomped on. Continue until you reach a
statue that looks like Shredder. Slash will jump out.

BOSS FIGHT: Slash.

When you get close to him, he will slash away at you, clawing your face. Plus
when you try to attack he will block you with his dagger. When he jumps, jump
and attack. Then, when he lands on the ground, you can attack him. He has a lot
of health. Continue this until he starts to flash. Usually when the boss's
health is low he will start to flash. Continue this pattern until his health is
gone.

Next stop, the pirate ages...

VI.1530 A.D-Skull and Crossbones.

You are now on a pirate ship. Continue the usual pattern of bashing and
moving. If you step on some parts of the ship, the plank will come up and hit
you in the face. It won't hurt you, but it will slow you down and make you an
easy target for enemies. There are green foot soldiers who like to fire arrows,
avoid them. When you make it to a point where there are stairs, Bebop and
Rocksteady appear.

BOSS FIGHT: Bebop and Rocksteady.

This is the second boss pair, but it is real easy. Just keep on attacking them.
Use the same technique like you did with Rahzar and Tokka, go in between them
and when they try to bump you, move! Simple.

Next stop, the Old West...

VII.1885 A.D-Bury my shell at wounded knee.

This level reminds me so much of Back To The Future Part III. The date, the
fact we're on a train, everything! Anyway, continue on bashing and moving. Foot
soldiers will ride up on horses and jump on the train, plus some foot soldiers
now use a chain attack which is similar to Scorpian's snake attack in Mortal
Kombat. The people in the hats and sarongs are really foot soldiers. The Rock
Soldiers carry metal planks which can cut off half of you health. Be careful!
Lead Head is waiting for you at the end.

BOSS FIGHT: Leatherhead.*

Leatherhead has a ton of attacks. Walk up to him and attack. After 4 hits,
Leatherhead will drop on all four feet. Jump!! He will move, biting  and
snapping. Continue this. L.Head also likes to throw knifes at you, jump over
them, plus he likes to throw lobsters (?). The lobsters can be repeled at him
to stun him if you time your attack right.* Continue the above  pattern and
he'll fall off the train.

Next stop, the future...

VIII.2020 A.D-Neon Night Riders.

Now this is a fun level! You are riding on a hover board, and it is in a first
person perspective. It is a lot like F-Zero. Bad guys will come  flying towards
you, just attack them, as well as those mousers who tried to chomp onto your
arms in the previous levels! Occasionally, a foot soldier in a helicopter will
appear and try to shoot you. Jump and attack. Be sure to get the ? orbs,
they'll give you more health. After a while, the screen will turn back into
it's side scrolling mode. Now Super Krang will appear!

BOSS FIGHT: Super Krang.

Super Krang is sometimes easy, sometimes hard. Keep on attacking him when he is
on the screen because afterwards he will disappear and bombs  will start
falling. Avoid them. Once the bombs are gone, he will be back. Just continue to
attack.

After you've done enough damage, Super Krang will explode but Krang himself
will appear and threaten you. Then he'll disappear.

Next stop, space, the final frontier...

IX. 2100 A.D-Starbase.

Now you will be transported into space! Contiune to fight, there are new round
critters who will shoot ray beams at you. Avoid the lasers coming down at you.
When you step on the platforms, the blue ones will freeze you if you step on
them, avoid! There is also a huge bowling ball, make sure to avoid that too!
After a while, you'll have to fight Krang again, with Shredder in the
background shaking his fists!

BOSS FIGHT: Krang.

This time Krang is in a flying saucer, moving around in the air, so you  should
jump and attack him. He will leave behind those round critters which can get
annoying. When his health gets low, he will just start to drop on you which
will take off half of your life. After all his health is gone, he will explode.

Then after that has happened, a portal will open. Step inside it.

Next stop, the present...

X. Shredder-The Final Shell Shocker.

Shredder is back!! The Statue Of Liberty is in the background. You will see him
turn into Super Shredder! The battle begins!

BOSS FIGHT: Super Shredder.

As you have expected, it's not going to be easy at all. Shredder has loads of
health, and three VERY POWERFUL attacks. Whenever he is using an attack, he
will glow. Do not touch him when he is in that state or you will lose health.

Shredder's first attack is when he is glowing blue, shooting blue arrows in the
sky. He does this if you jump in the air. Don't do it!*

Shredder's next attack is when he glows red, he will shoot fire trails. Do not
stand in his way.

And Shredder's most powerful attack is when he glows green. He will shoot a
green blast which will make you lose a life no matter how much health you have!
Avoid at all costs!

When he isn't attacking, you should just walk up to him and attack. Remember
that after 4 hits he  will start attacking. Just keep this all up until he
finally loses all of his health. He will fall off! You can get extra points if
you beat him without being hit.*

You did it!! You completed the game!

3. Characters

I. The Good

Leonardo-This is the leader of the Turtles. Leo has good hearing and sight,
which is what makes him the leader. His weapons are samurai swords.

Donatello-The Brain of the turtles. Has made some useful inventions that have
helped the turtles out a lot. The best character out of the lot. His weapon is
his Bo Staff.

Raphael- The Wit of the turtles. Whenever he says something, it's usually
sarcastic and witty, but he happens to be a good fighter. His weapons are
Sai's.

Michaelangelo-The Party animal of the turtles. He loves pizza, and likes to
party a lot. His weapons are Nunchaku.

Splinter-Formerly known as Hamato Yoshi, former leader of the Foot Clan, the
most notorious gang in Japan which Shredder now owns. Hamato was disgraced and
escaped to the sewers, accidently falling into some retromutagen ooze and so
did a rat, and so he became half-man, half-rat. Splinter is wise and gives out
always helpful advice to the Turtles.

April-A TV News reporter for Channel 6. She is a friend of the turtles and
appears when you don't  do anything and impatiently yells "FIGHT!!"

II. The Bad

Foot Soldiers-The Foot Clan, now owned by Shredder. Foot Soldiers are strong,
and attack with a variety of weapons.

Rock Soldiers-These guys are rock-solid, and will take you a few hits to finish
them off. Some of  them even carry steel planks and rocket launchers!

Baxter Stockman-A mad scientist who is half-man, half-fly. Shredder convinced
him that the Turtles are his enemy. Continues to fly around and annoy the
Turtles.

Metalhead-a robotic replica of a Ninja Turtle, programmed by Krang to terminate
the turtles.

Rat King-A mysterious person who lives in the sewer with rats. Not much is
known about him.

Tokka- Featured in the second Ninja Turtles movie: The Secret Of The Ooze,
Tokka is mixed with ooze and a tortoise. Incredibly strong and hungry!

Rahzar-Also featured in the second movie, he is mixed with ooze and a dog.

Slash-Believe it or not, there were actually five turtles, not four. Slash
mutated like the rest, but he turned out to be a freak. Slash escaped the sewer
in a rage, and now works for Shredder. He is the most powerful turtle ever.

Bebop and Rocksteady- Shredder's two bumbling, moronic apprentices. Mixed with
two punk teenagers and a rhino and warthog from the local zoo. Bebop and
Rocksteady are strong, but they aren't smart.

Leatherhead-Mixed with an outback thug and a crocodile, Leatherhead is real
dangerous, hating the turtles a lot. He likes throwing knifes!

Krang/Super Krang-Krang is Shredder's boss and the ruler of Dimension X.
Krang's lair is the Technodrome, a huge mechanical contraption that can only
stay in Dimension X. Krang is a pink brain and is always in a huge mechanical
body where he moves around and fights in. He's beyond ruthless.

Shredder/Super Shredder-The turtles Arch-Nemesis! Shredder was originally Oroku
Saki, who trained  in the Foot Clan. Oroku wanted to get revenge againest
Hamato (now Splinter) for killing his brother. Shredder eventually became head
of the Foot Clan and disgraced Hamato. But he didn't stop there. He was also
very intelligent, and made loads of machines and made contact with Krang in
Dimension X. He is responsible for the mutation of the Turtles. He just ain't a
nice guy.

4. Ratings of the turtles.*

These are what I think of the turtles overall:

Raph-Very fast, but takes the most damage out of the turtles.

Mike-The strongest, but a little slow.

Don-A well rounded character. Definitely one for beginners.

Leo-Slow, but takes the least damage out of the turtles.
