1.00 Introduction & Plot
===============================================================================
This is walkthrough for Janggun-ui Adeul (English: The General's Son) for the
Sega Master System which was developed and published by Daou.
This is an exclusive Korean title.
The box art and rom show it is copyrighted 1992, so it was likely produced and\
or released in 1992-1993. However, a release sticker also shows 1995, so an
exact release date may only be known by a select few in Korea...
There is also an unofficial online release of the game for Game Gear under the
name Street Hero marked with company Innovation Tech 1993
The game is based on the Korean Gangster film Janggunui adeul.
IMDB entry for this movie can be found at
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099240/
I don't speak Korean, so am not going to attempt to give a description.

3.00 Walkthrough
===============================================================================
This is a beat 'em up, at the top of the screen you can see your character icon
your health bar, time limit, enemy health bar and enemy profile picture. Below
these you have your score and round number.
Unlike other beat 'em ups, the timer applies to the current phase of fighters,
NOT the entire round itself. For example you may get 30 seconds to finish a
pair of fighters, the timer will reset to 40 when you reach the next pair. If
the timer runs out, you die. You also get 3 credits, and no lives. But if you
die on a boss, you would restart at the boss after using a credit.
I highly recommend you practice the controls and test them on Round 1, or you
will get trashed by the enemy.
-ROUND 1-----------------------------------------------------------------3.10.
The round only has pairs of brown over coat gangsters, they die in 2 hits. Or
one whirl wind kick. They will come in waves of pairs.
As this is the first round, they are extremely clumsy enemies that do very
little damage. But you should try and conserve your energy for the boss.
After beating the several pairs of them, keep heading right to face the boss.
BOSS:
This guy is extremely difficult if you don't know the correct technique.
Make sure you are standing opposite him, do not be behind or in front of him.
As he approaches you, when he's in kicking range hit 2 + Down. Leave it too
late and he will attack you, leave it too early and he will also attack you.
After 5 whirl wind strikes, he should be dead.
You will die if you get hit by him up to 3 times, so not much room for error
here!
-ROUND 2-----------------------------------------------------------------3.20.
In this round the green overcoat enemies are much more aggressive than the last
round. I recommend holding your position and doing a whirl wind kick when they
are in range for a one hit kill. Just like the first round, their attacks do
very little damage.
BOSS:
Just hold down continuously at the bottom of the screen, then hit 2 when he's
in range. After five whirl wind kicks he's dead.
-ROUND 3-----------------------------------------------------------------3.30.
Now things are starting to step up a level. On this level there are soldiers
firing rifles at you. To stop them firing at you, DO NOT stand still, keep
moving up and down and they won't shoot. So while you are fighting one, you
don't get shot in the back.
If they are running away, you have to do 1 + 2 + forward to do a flying kick,
otherwise you can't catch them and they'll just shoot you. It may be better
to always use this on this guys as they have a long range stab attack.
If you jump as they shoot, most of the time the bullet will miss.
After beating this pair by the river, you'll be on a bridge with two brown
overcoats, they are from the first round, and you'll get a few waves.
On the next screen you get a pair of soldiers again, then another pair of the
same. Use the same techniques as described before
BOSS:
This fat sumo looks hard but he's not. Just hold down continously at the bottom
of the screen, then hit 2 when he's in range. After five whirl wind kicks he's
dead. Easy.
-ROUND 4-----------------------------------------------------------------3.40.
We're now out of the streets and inside the gangsters night club or bar.
You'll start with a few easy brown overcoats. You'll then get some green
overcoats. Then a pair of soldiers. Use the same strategies as in the previous
rounds to take them out.
A neat trick to make it easier, when you see the first soldier appear on the
right, STOP and let him come to you. This will let you 1 on 1 him, if you keep
going right, the other soldier will also spawn.
When you reach the bright pink floor, the boss will spawn.
BOSS:
This sword boss is far faster than previous bosses. But he can easily be
outsmarted like previous bosses. Just hold down continuously at the bottom of
the screen, then hit 2 when he's in range. After seven whirl wind kicks he's
dead. Easy.
-ROUND 5-----------------------------------------------------------------3.50.
Well this is boring, you get to 1 on 1 all of the bosses from the previous
levels. If you're not an expert at taking out these bosses, you'd better learn
quick!
Be warned, after beating the boss from level three and moving forward, you'll
be dumped right in front of the level one boss again. So I recommend holding
Left + Down during the screen transition, then tap right and prepare to whirl
wind kick him six times.
The next screen is the round 4 boss again. I recommend bashing 1 + 2 + his
direction. He will die after about 10 strikes.
Then you fight the sumo boss again, he dies in six strikes. Yawn. Then a few
more bosses.
After which you'll do the first phase again outside. ZZzz..
FINAL BOSS:
Then you'll be in front of a large wooden gate to face the real final boss,
finally.
You can't walk on the path at the background, so you are limited for room.
He's really cheap, takes a ton of hits to die (at least 10).
One tip, after being killed by him and restarting, you get a bunch of free hits
whilst he is standing there on the far right.
He also has a special move where he teleports off the top of the screen and
then lands on top of you. (Maybe he's related to Goro\Kintaro\Shiva??) When he
is off screen using 1 + 2 + Right should avoid him.
The only easy way I know to kill him is staying in the bottom corner of the
screen and whirl wind kicking him as he gets near.
After he dies, you'll get an animation of you booting his face in, and then you
get to see how happy the towns folk are!
Then you get the credits of all the nine Korean people who made the game,
including their mspaint style images.
