GENERAL TIPS
Prize Fighting Techniques
* Always throw jabs to keep your opponent at a
distance
* Always bob to the left or right to dodge your
opponent
* Play in training mode to learn the four boxers
techniques
* After your opponent misses with a hook, follow up
with a left or right hook
Option Screen
On the opponent screen, press the C button to go to the
option screen. On the option screen you can save your
game and also change your button configuration. Hold any
button on the configuration screen to see what punch that
button and the D-pad are able to do together.
JAB THROUGH
Training Mode:
Training mode shows you when and where to hit your
opponent by using arrows. The arrows appear on the side
and bottom of the boxing screen. If the arrow is:
High= Hook
Middle= Jab
Low= Body blow
Bottom= Uppercut
After playing in this mode you'll begin to learn the four
boxers patterns and when you can hit them.
Note: Traing mode is in Round 1 only. So try to knock
everyone out in the 1st round.
Your opponents:
Start off by changing your power points distribution on
the option screen (press the C button on opponents
picture screen to get options). You should have 144
points on the left hand, 127 on stamina, and 50 on the
right hand. This distribution will get you through the
first opponent with no problem.
Honeyboy: "You better be ready for me PUNK"
Honeyboy is a wimp. Follow the arrows in training mode
to learn his movements and when he's open for a shot.
Fight Honeyboy at least 4 times before moving up.
Mega Joe: "You want to stay pretty like me kid, don't
get in the ring"
Learn this opponent with the training mode. He throws
really wild shots so counter them with a left or right
hook. Fight Mega Joe at least 3 times.
T Rex: "I'm gonna stick a fork in ya kid, your done,
done, I'm telling you, done."
Throw lots of jabs and body blows. He fights very
aggressive so practice your blocking first. Fight T-Rex
or any other fighter until you gain at least 1400 power
points in total before fighting the champion.
Nuke the Duke: "Welcome to the big league Kid"
Left jabs are his weakness. So power up your left hand.
Prize Fighter is very difficult at first but after you
gain power points it becomes a fairly simple game.
