Well, I was playing To Heart PSE one day and I really, really got stuck
trying to end the game with Akari as Hiroyuki's girlfriend, so I decided to
go online to look for some information, and I found very few FAQs after
sifting through lots of links, and since there are none for the PlayStation or
PSE version for the PC, I decided to make my own. Please note that this FAQ
contains hiragana, katakana and kanji, and was done in FixedSys (Japanese),
so you need a text-viewer which supports the SJIS set of characters.
Internet Explorer willwork fine.

1.3 ABOUT TO HEART PSE
************************
To Heart is a both a visual novel and a text adventure. You play the part of
Fujita Hiroyuki (though you can make up a different name if you like), who
happens to be a high school student in Japan. As a visual novel, the purpose
of the game is to tell a story about your character as well as the other
characters in the game, using both text and CG. As a text adventure, you are
given the ability to choose from certain sets of dialogue and/or actions to
alter the flow of the story. Ultimately, you may end the game happily with a
girlfriend from one of the many girls in the game... or you may end up with
your buddy being single still.
To Heart originally had elements of hentai, in which you will get to see CGs
of sex between you and your chosen girlfriend. To Heart was made into a
13-episode anime with no elements of hentai, no doubt due to its popularity
among Japanese gamers for their entertaining portrayal of high school life and
romance.
To Heart was also ported to the PlayStation, and in process of porting, was
altered somewhat. Firstly, all hentai scenes were removed. Since I have no
idea as to the ending scenes in the first version of To Heart, I have no idea
as to the exact differences in terms of scenes available, but I guess that
some scenes were added to the PlayStation version to make up for the reduced
CG.
Secondly, there have been some changes to dialogue options, as well as
requirements for getting some of the girls. Some options have been switched
around in terms of position (as in response A swapped with C, for example)
while others have changed in terms of kana/kanji used. Some have been changed
completely as well. Thus, the walkthroughs employed for the earlier PC
version are not totally reusable for PlayStation version.
To Heart PSE (PlayStation Edition) is a port of the PlayStation version of To
Heart to the PC, with yet a few more changes in terms of dialogue. A quick
search for To Heart PSE on Google yielded very few walkthroughs, one in
Chinese and two in Japanese. One of the Japanese FAQs was for the original
version of To Heart, and thus, mostly useless to me. The other one had
plenty of useful information, but it didn't offer an exact step-by-step
walkthrough. The Chinese one did, but even though the site claimed that it
was viewable in Chinese Big5, I saw plenty of unicode crud on the page
(guessing that NJStar would be required for viewing, which I didn't have
and didn't want to install anyway).
Thus, with the absence of any useful FAQs on GameFAQs, I decided to make
my own, using the other three sites as references. And thus, here we are,
with my 98% FAQ.

% 2. GAMEPLAY %

With this being a visual novel and devoid of any hentai elements, there isn't
much reason for anyone without a decent knowledge of Japanese (the language)
to pick this up, unless you're a huge fan of the series, and even then,
there's only so much you can glean from the voice-acting if you can't
understand most of it, or if you can't read what's going on. Not that I know
much Japanese myself, but that's a different story...
Anyway, with this being a text adventure and visual novel, the controls and
menus are easy enough to figure out even without knowledge of Japanese, so
I'll leave you to figure that out for yourself.

of Akari. To jump to their walkthrough, just do a search in the document with

The walkthrough is just a simple table of which choice to make at what
location on which date. Occasionally, certain choices are presented which
are not mentioned in the walkthrough. These are of no real importance from
what I see and you may simply pick any response.

2.2 NOTES ABOUT THE GAME
************************
1) Ctrl allows you to skip only dialogue that you've been through before.
2) This guide doesn't provide 100% CG. Two pieces are missing from the album,
one is a CG of you petting Multi on the head in her school uniform and the
other of you petting Serio. Both of these are undated (all CGs are usually
dated by date as to when the event takes place). Perhaps you need 100% path
completion (as in all possible dialogue choices done, since you are not
allowed to skip dialogue you've never read before). Do note that one of the
CGs requires you to not end up with any girl (you get a large picture of
Masashi... assuming you care anyway ;p)
3) There are some very mild differences between the PS1 version of this and
the PSE version for the PC in terms of response selection, and somewhat
significant ones between the PSE edition and the old PC version. This guide
should work fine for the PS1 version as well, though you will need to go by
actual response instead of following the guide blindly.
4) Once all endings have been obtained, a Sound Test option is available
under the minigames suboption in the options menu. This is more of a jukebox
where you can play all the BGM in the game, as well as the few available
vocal tracks.

% 3. WALKTHROUGHS %

Well, here we are at the "main course", step-by-step walkthroughs which
guarantee an ending with the girl of your choice. Just a few things to note
though...
While the suggested solutions here will guarantee you an ending with the girl
of your choice, there are a few occasions where you can pick different
dialogue options and still win. I took the easy way out for the most part.
For most of the girls, what I did was to meet them whenever possible and
avoid everyone else. The notable exception to this rule is Akari, since for
her case, you'll have to interact with many of the other girls to get to her
ending.
Rio is unlocked after getting a proper ending with one girl apparently, in my
game, I got her after Akari (not sure if winning with someone else will
unlock her.) After that, you'll always get an option on the 6th of March
during school hours, so in the FAQ, there is usually an option marked as

for non-Rio walkthroughs. For your first game, this won't be available, so
this option will not be available.
In a similar way, Ayaka will only be unlocked either after you win with
enough girls, or more likely Aoi (since I noticed Ayaka seemed to appear
after I won with Aoi. Not too sure of this...), and thus, for any case where
you need to go home on the 11th of April and not hang around with Ayaka, it
is marked as

According to one of the Japanese FAQs, they've made it much harder to win
with Akari, compared to the original PC version. For her case, you'll need
to be close with Remmy, Kotone, Tomoko AND Aoi. Thus, the basic idea is to
go along with Akari whenever possible, and if there are no pro-Akari choices
to pick, you'll need to pick one of the other girls. I'd provide key points,
but meh, you already have this FAQ so I don't see a point to doing that.

As you will notice for Aoi's walkthrough, there are occasions where I have
locations listed as 「クラブに行く」 instead of just クラブに行く. During my
first game, for some reason, I just kept going there even when Aoi wasn't around
and it resulted in an event on the 23rd of April. Skipping 「クラブに行く」and
picking 帰り道 immediately resulted in that event being omitted, though it
doesn't affect your chances of getting the ending, as I successfully got the
ending on a replay without picking my 「クラブに行く」.
Aoi appears on the 10th of April for the first time, so it is possible that the
results of your interactions with other characters prior to that date is of
little importance. Just to play safe though, I've stuck to ignoring the other
characters for the most part. Feel free to try for yourself to see whether my
theory is correct, I might do so personally some other day. This probably holds
true for Multi and Kotone as well, though Ayaka is a different story...

Well, while writing the FAQ wasn't exactly the most fun of things to do, it
was very educational and I learned more Japanese from doing so. As for To
Heart PSE? Loved it, even with my extremely limited knowledge of Japanese,
and I look forward to replaying this someday with a better knowledge of
Japanese to be able to appreciate it better. As it is, this FAQ will allow
you access to all of the endings and characters, so all that remains is to
unlock the last 2 CGs I'm missing, but that will have to wait for another
day...
