UP- Jump
DOWN- Duck
BACK- Guard, walk backwards
FORWARD- Walk Forward
A - Weak Punch
B - Weak Kick
C - Fierce Punch
D - Fierce Kick
CD- Hard Hit Attack
AB on hitting ground- Quick Wakeup
AB While Guarding- Guard Cancel Roll (Uses 1 Power Meter)
CD While Guarding- Guard Cancel Hard Hit (Uses 1 Power Meter)
Start- Taunt (Does not decrease opponent's power meter)
---Extra Mode (95' Mode)---
AB - Dodge
ABC- Power up
Forward x 2- Hop forward
Back x 2- Hop backward
Tap Up- High Jump
Pros:
Can dodge moves.
Can Power up.
Can do DMs when life is Low & Red.
Back-hop is invincible.
Cons:
Cannot escape from throws.
Can only do normal jump or high jump.
Must have low life to do Super DM.
Tips:
Useful mode for defensive players. Since the gameplay is basically the same
from KoF 95', players who liked the old system will enjoy this mode. To do
the Special DMs the player must be fully powered up and low lifed. When
playing against Advanced Mode opponents, there usually won't be many chances
to power up the meter. For those who have to fight against Extra Mode
opponents, try to use throw characters because they cannot escape throws with
the AB dodge.
---Advanced Mode (96' Mode)---
AB- Roll
AB when thrown- Escape Throw
ABC- Execute POW
Forward x 2 -Dash forward
Back x 2 -Dash Backward
Tap Up- Low Jump
Tap Down, then Up -High Jump
Pros:
Can stock up to 3 power meter bars.
Can do SDMs without low life.
Can dash forward instead of hop.
Has 4 levels of jump.
Can escape from throws.
Cons:
Cannot Power up by pressing ABC.
Cannot dodge.
Cannot do DMs because of low life.
Needs 2 Power bars to do SDM.
Tips:
Useful mode for aggressive players. The gameplay is basically the same as 96'
but the power meter system is different.
To do the Super DMs, stock up two Power meters, use one (ABC) and while the
meter is running, execute the DM. Fight aggresively because the only way to
power up the meter is by doing special moves. Do not fear being thrown because
they are escapable as long as they are normal throws.
