1) Revision History

My first time through it, non-complete boss stats, most items that bosses drop,
items that you can steal, and strategies for defeating the bosses, among
other things.

******************************************************************************
2) Purpose of this guide
This guide is purely for helping those who need assistance against the bosses
of Breath of Fire III.

******************************************************************************

******************************************************************************
3) Format of the guide
The guide itself will be composed in this format:

Number: What number that boss is
Boss Name: Name of the boss you're fighting
Location: Where the boss is located
Party: Who to use against the boss
Level: The level you should try to be at before tackling the boss
Difficulty: How hard the boss is
HP: How much health, approximately, that the boss has
Exp: The amount of Experience Points the boss gives; when I give the amount,
that will be the amount each character receives, not the total number of
points that it gives you
Zenny: The amount of Zenny, or money, the boss gives you
Attacks: The special, out-of-the-ordinary attacks the boss might use on you
Dragon Gene: The Dragon Gene(s) that might help with the battle
Form: The form (i.e., Attack, Defense, Chain, etc.) that you should be in
before beginning the battle
Strategy: How to beat the boss, essentially
Items: What you can steal from the boss; or what the boss drops

4) Childhood Bosses

Number: I
Boss Name: Nue (1st time)
Location: Mt. Glaus
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 5, Rei 7, Teepo 6
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~140
Exp: 0
Zenny: 0
Attacks: Nue Stomp: Extra-powerful attack on one character
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Attack, with Rei in the lead
Stategy: Have Rei attack continuously, Teepo use Flare, and Ryu healing, or,
when healing isn't neccessary, have him attack as well. Just keep attacking,
as the only powerful thing the Nue can do is the Nue Stomp, so be wary of
that at the end. After he's hurt badly, the Nue runs off.
Items: Steal a Power Food from him with Rei

Number: II
Boss Name: Nue (2nd time)
Location: Caverns
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 6, Rei 7, Teepo 7
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~275
Exp: 36
Zenny: 50
Attacks: Nue Stomp: Extra-poweful attack on one character
Jolt: Minor lightning attack on all (it can only use it once)
Reprisal: Every time you phyisically attack the Nue, it will counter
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: Use the same strategy as before, but it is more difficult here. As the
Nue will Reprisal all your attacks, use Rei to attack, seeing as he has the most
HP. Have Rei attack normally, Teepo use Flare or Simoon (if he has it), and Ryu
heal with Healing Herbs and attack when healing isn't necessary. The Nue will
use Jolt, its most powerful attack, once, when it's at half HP. After this attack,
heal your entire party, because this attack hurts. After the Jolt attack, the rest
of the battle is easy, just keep attacking and healing.
Items: Steal a Power Food from him with Rei

Number: III
Boss Name: Pooch
Location: Outside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 6, Rei 8, Teepo 7
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~250
Exp: 28
Zenny: 10
Attacks: Snap: Lowers defense; attacks
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: Pooch is really easy, as all he does is attack and use Snap. If you want,
Examine him and try to learn Snap. Whoever he uses Snap on, have Ryu heal, because
one or two more attacks more could kill that person. Unless someone is badly hurt,
have everyone attack only; don't use Teepo's attack magic, as you'll need that
later. If need be, use Ryu to heal.
Items: Steal a Vitamin from him with Rei

Number: IV
Boss Name: Rocky
Location: In the henhouse outside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 6, Rei 8, Teepo 7
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~270
Exp: 29
Zenny: 0
Attacks: Jump: Does random amount of damage
Ovum: Turns a party member into an egg
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: Rocky uses Jump as him main attack, so try to have at least Ryu learn
it as an ability by Examining Rocky. After Ryu learns it, have him use it,
Teepo attack, and Rei attack. If he uses Ovum, it has a *small* chance of
turning you into an egg. If it does, just wait a couple of rounds, and you will
come out of it, with your HP and AP fully restored.
Items: Steal a Life Shard from him with Rei

Number: V
Boss Name: Torast McNeil
Location: Inside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Teepo
Level: Ryu 7, Teepo 7
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~120
Exp: 16
Zenny: 8
8:56 PM 7/5/03Attacks: Sleep: Puts one party member to sleep
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Stategy: Torast, like all the other McNeil ghosts, is pretty simple. His only
attacks are Sleep and a normal attack. If he uses Sleep, just keep attacking
with the other person. If he attacks the sleeping character he'll wake him.
Just keep on the offense, seeing as how you won't even need to cure.
Items: None

Number: VI
Boss Name: Kassen McNeil
Location: Inside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Teepo
Level: Ryu 7, Teepo 7
Difficulty: Very easy
HP: ~55
Exp: 19
Zenny: 20
Attacks: Leech Power: Takes a small portion of a party member's HP and converts
into energy for himself
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Stategy: All he does is attacks and uses Leech Power, which takes away about
4-5 HP away if you're at the suggested levels. Have Teepo attack and Ryu use
Jump. Again, curing will probably not be an option for this battle, as he is
very weak.
Items: None

Number: VII
Boss Name: Goltel McNeil
Location: Inside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Teepo
Level: Ryu 8, Teepo 8
Difficulty: Extremely easy
HP: ~150
Exp: 18
Zenny: 4
Attack: Weaken: Lowers Defense of one party member
Blunt: Lowers Attack Power of one party member
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: Goltel doesn't even attacks you, all he does is use Weaken and Blunt.
It's pretty much useless to use those, however, so just keep hammering at him.
Don't waste any special attacks on him. Have Teepo attack and Ryu use Jump for
about 4 or 5 rounds and he should be gone.
Items: None

Number: VIII
Boss Name: Doksen McNeil
Location: Inside McNeil Manor
Party: Ryu, Teepo
Level: Ryu 8, Teepo 8
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~140
Exp: 23
Zenny: 29
Attacks: None
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: This ghost is the only one who has no special attacks. Constantly pound
him with Jump and Simoon. If Teepo is out of AP or is close to being out, just
use normal attacks. This should be an easy battle.
Items: None

Number: IX
Boss Name: Amalgam
Location: Inside McNeil Mano
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 9, Rei 8, Teepo 8
Difficulty: Medium
HP: ~520
Exp: 70
Zenny: 200
Attacks: Astral Warp: Major attack damage to one character
Sleep: Can put entire party to sleep
Flare: Minor fire damage to one character
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: This will be the hardest battle fought so far. Amalgam can use Sleep
to demobilize your party in one turn, giving him a couple of free attacks
before you wake up. His Flare spell shouln't be too much of a problem. Curing
will be a must against this boss, so use Ryu for that. When he is weakened
severly, Amalgam will use Astral Warp, which can kill a person who's not at
full health. Have Rei attack, and use Pilfer early on to grab a Magic Shard.
Have Teepo use Simoon, and Ryu either attack normally, use Jump, or heal.
After a while, this guy will be history.
Items: Steal a Magic Shard from him with Rei

Number: X
Boss Name: Balio and Sunder
Location: Outside your tree house, afte defeating Amalgon
Party: Ryu, Rei, Teepo
Level: Ryu 11, Rei 10, Teepo 11
Difficulty: Impossible
HP: ?????
Exp: N/A
Zenny: N/A
Attacks: Lightning: Medium lightning damage on all
Dragon Gene: N/A
Form: Normal
Strategy: There is NO beating these guys here. Period. Don't believe the rumors.
They're not invincible, but their HP is infinite, so don't waste your magic or
items here. One Lightning attack should kill everyone but Rei, and one kick
attack will kill Rei afterwards.
Items: Attempt to steal a Protein from Balio and a Life Shard from Sunder with
Rei before you're killed.

*Note*
Have Influence before this battle. Use it on Sunder and he will start attacking
Balio! :)
Number: XI
Boss Name: Balio and Sunder
Location: Wyndian basement
Party: Ryu
Level: 20 is recommended if you want to beat them; if not, then 15
Difficulty: Hard
HP: A LOT
Exp: 110
Zenny: ????
Attacks: Lightning: Medium lightning damage on all
Dragon Gene: Flame
Form: Normal
Strategy: These guys are hard, no question about it. As soon as the battle
begins, cast Accession to become a Fire Whelp. Continually use Flame Claw on
the brothers and hope they don't use Lightning too much. At high levels (20+),
their kick attacks will do around 10+ damage, so don't worry too much about
it. If they kill you in dragon form, just re-transform, and keep going,
healing as need be.
Items: Win: Asbestos Armor (not all the time)
Win: Broad Sword (not all the time)

Number: XII
Boss Name: Mutant
Location: Dump
Party: Ryu, Nina, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+ (can be lower), Nina 10, Momo 12
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~570
Exp: 200
Zenny: 300
Attacks: Dream Breath: Puts one party member to sleep
Dragon Gene: Flame + Defender
form: Normal
Strategy: This battle's pretty easy, especially if you got Ryu charged up. He
can only attack and use Dream Breath, which by the end should present no
problem once his regeneration stops. You must burn it in order for it to stop
regenerating its health. Have Momo use here flame chrysm bazooka, Nina use
Simoon, and Ryu transform into a Flame Dragon using the Flame + Defender. Have
him use Flame Claw and the others use the attacks above and the battle should
be over in three rounds.
Items: None

Number: XIII
Boss Name: Claw + Dodai
Location: Arena
Party: Ryu
Level: 20+
Difficulty: Easy
HP: Claw: ~260
   Dodai: ~2000
Exp: 3000
Zennt: 200
Attacks: Blind: Attempts to blind one character
Double Blow: Two physical attacks in a row
Dragon Gene: Flame + Reverse
Form: Normal
Strategy: Claw will try to blind you, however this will not affect you in Dragon
Form. Immediately tranform into the Ice Whelp using the Flame and Reverse genes.
Don't attack Claw herself. Use Ice Claw on the Dodai and it will soon go down.
Heal your Dodai once in a while if he needs it. Once the Dodai is defeated, the
battle is over and you don't have to fight Cawer and Patrio!
Items: None

Number: XIV
Boss Name: Emitai and two Golems
Location: Arena
Party: Ryu, Nina, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+, Nina 12, Momo 13
Difficulty: Medium
HP: Emitai: ~625
   Golems: ~750 each
Exp: 200
Zenny: 340
Attacks: Spirit Blast: Poweful physical attack used by the Golems
Dragon Gene: Flame + Defender
Form: Normal
Strategy: Even if this is the Null Magic hall, you can still use Accession.
That's right, you get to use your awesome dragon attacks while everyone else
is using weak physical attacks. Immediately transform into a Flame Dragon
with Ryu, and start pounding Emitai with Flame Claw. Momo and Nina should
both attack; they should do some decent damage as Emitai and the Golems have
a fairly weak defense. Eventually Emitai will go down, and the Golems will be
without their master. They'll now start attacking each other! Use this time
to cure. Defend until only one Golem is left standing, then destroy him.
Items: Magician Wand

Number:XV
Boss Name: Garr
Location: Arena
Party: Ryu
Level: Ryu 20+
Difficulty: Impossible
HP: ?????
Exp: N/A
Zenny: N/A
Attacks: Lucky Strike: An incredibly powerful physical attack
Dragon Gene: Flame + Defender + Reverse
Form: Normal
Strategy: As soon as the battle begins, transform using the above genes.
Garr is weak against ice, so use Frost Claw on him the whole. You are
much faster than him, but don't bother to heal. Once you have hurt him
enough, he will hit you with a Lucky Strike. Then, when you turn back
into a boy, he will hit you with another, and the battle will end.
Items: None

Number: XVI
Boss Name: Bully 1, Bully 2, and Bully 3
Location: Maekyss Gorge
Party: Ryu, Nina, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+, Nina 13, Momo 14
Difficulty: Medium
HP: ~200 each
Exp: 80
Zenny: 350
Attacks: Bully 2: Blind- Attempts to blind one party member
Dragon Gene: Don't use
Form: Normal
Stategy: Don't use your best attacks on these clowns, as you'll have to save
some for the next battle, which is a lot harder. Have Nina use Jolt, Momo use
Quake (if you have it), and Ryu heal or attack. Bully 2 will try to Blind you
once, but it won't work. This shouldn't take more than 4-5 rounds.
Items: Win- 3 Beef Jerkys

Number: XVII
Boss Name: Stallion
Location: Maekyss Gorge
Party: Ryu, Garr, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+, Garr 13, Momo 14
Difficulty: Hard
HP: ~1400
Exp: 267
Zenny: 500
Attacks: Barrier: Raises Magic Defense
Resist: Nullifies all attacks for one turn
Jolt: Minor lightning attack on all
Utmost Attack: Does medium damage to all; raises defense (?)
Dragon Gene: Flame + Defender
Form: Attack, Garr in the lead
Strategy: This battle will be one of the hardest so far. You should try to cure
up in the battle before, as this guy can HURT! Ryu should become the flame
dragon and use Flame Claw on Stallion. Momo should cure or just attack. Garr
should just keep attacking. Don't use too much magic here, as this guy has both
Barrier and Resist. You can try to learn both by Examining him, but it's usually
not worth it. If you're low on health, when he uses Utmost Attack he can wipe
you out. He'll only do it when he's near dead, and not much then, thankfully.
Items: None

Number: XVIII
Boss Name: Gazer
Location: Lighthouse
Party: Ryu, Garr, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+, Garr 16, Momo 16
Difficulty: Medium
HP: ~1100
Exp: 750
Zenny: 1000
Attacks: Eye Beam: Takes away half of one party member's HP
Dragon Gene: Flame + Defender
Form: Attack, Garr in the lead
Strategy: This guy isn't too hard if you're prepared. His only attack you should
be concerned about is his Eye Beam. His normal attack will hit everyone, but it's
not very powerful so don't be too concerned about it. Have Ryu use Flame Claw, Garr
use Pyrokenisis, and Momo attack with here Flame Chrysm bazooka.
Items: None

Number: XIX
Boss Name: Dolphin
Location: Fairy World Dock
Party: Ryu, Nina, Momo
Level: Ryu 20+, Nina 14, Momo 16
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~1200
Exp: 300
Zenny: 300
Attacks: Tsunami: Water attack on all; takes away half HP
Intimidate: Causes one person to lose a turn
Dragon Gene: Thunder + Eldritch
Form: Normal
Stategy: This boss should be fairly easy, as he mainly does Tsunami, which has a low
chance of killing you. Ryu should transform using the Thunder and Eldritch genes, which
will net you a Magic Thunder Dragon! He will now have the most powerful thunder attack,
Myollnir, at his side, so use this until you can't anymore. Myollnir should do about
300+ damage, but costs 10 AP, so after you can't use it anymore, use Thunder Claw. Have
Nina use Jolt or Lightning (if you have it). Momo should just attack or heal. If Ryu
transforms back, have him just attack. If you want it, try Examining the Dolphin near
the beginning for the skill "Tsunami".
Items: None

*Note*
Before this battle, if you have them, equip the Asbestos Armor on Ryu and the
Ring of Fire on Momo. Garr's pretty resistant to fire already.
Number XX
Boss Name: Gisshan, Charyb, and Scylla
Location: Mt. Zublo
Party: Ryu, Nina, Garr
Level: Ryu 20+, Momo 17, Garr 17
Difficulty: Medium
HP: Gisshan: ~800
   Charyb: ~1100
   Scylla: ~1100
Exp: 500
Zenny: 1000
Attacks: Vitalize: Heal medium wounds on one/all
        Sleep: Puts party to sleep
        Snap: Lowers defense; attacks
Wall of Fire: Fire attack on one character
Dragon Gene: Frost + Eldritch
Form: Defense
Strategy: You want to dispose of Gisshan first, because he can cure his "pets",
and also because he has the lowest HP. Have Ryu transform into the Magic Frost
Dragon, but don't use Blizzard yet. Use Frost Claw on Gisshan until he's dead,
then use Blizzard. Have Momo attack with the Ice Chrysm bazzoka, and have Garr
just attack.
Items: None

*Note*
Before this battle, equip the Ring of Fire on Ryu.
Number: XXI
Boss Name: Garr
Location: Angel Tower
Party: Ryu
Level: Ryu 22
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~380
Exp: 400
Zenny: 0
Attacks: Fireblast: Medium fire attack on all
Dragon Gene: Frost + Eldritch
Form: Normal
Strategy: This guy is easy. Transform immediately, and use either Blizzard or
Frost Claw. After a couple of turns of using Blizzard, you'll revert back to a
boy. From here, just keep attacking, he's nearly dead. He isn't very powerful,
either.
Items: None

5) Adult Bosses

*Note*
Before turning into an adult, make sure to have the Barbarossa for Ryu (from
Junk Town) and the Gigantess for Garr (also purchased at Junk Town)
*Note*
HAVE Kyrie BEFORE this battle, it makes it a lot simpler. Get Kyrie from Hondura
in Urkan Tapa as a kid (takes 5 levels) and use it once. BOOM! Game over!
Number: XXII
Boss Name: Dragon Zombie
Location: Dauna Mines
Party: Ryu, Garr
Level: Ryu 22, Garr 17
Difficulty: Hard/Extremely easy
HP: ~2500
Exp: 500
Zenny: 300
Attacks: Rotten Breath: Poisons all party members
Bone Dance: Confuses all party members
Dragon Gene: Defender + Eldritch/ None
Form: Defense
Strategy: This guy will be the toughest so far, if you don't have have Kyrie.
If you do, cast it once, and the battle will be over.

If you don't have Kyrie, this battle will be a LOT tougher. Have Ryu use the
Defender + Eldritch to become the Magic Defense Dragon. Cast Restore on the
Zombie to do some major damage to it, about 500+. But you'll only get to use
it about three times, if you're lucky. If he uses Rotton Breath, don't even
bother using an Antidote or Panacea. If he uses Bone Dance, have one of your
characters (if they're not confused) use a Panacea on the other. Have Garr
just attack, there's not much else he can do. This guy hurts so have plenty
of Healing Herbs and Vitamins.
Items: If you have it, use Steal with Ryu or Garr and get the Power Food
      Win: Dragon Tear (very rare)

Number: XXIII
Boss Name: Weretiger
Location: Ogre Road
Party: Ryu, Garr
Level: Ryu 22, Garr 18
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~930
Exp: 0
Zenny: 0
Attacks: Snap: Lowers defense; attacks
Focus: Raises Strenth x2 for next round
Dragon Gene: Shadow + Reverse + Defense
Form: Attack, Garr in the lead
Strategy: This guy is VERY fast, so he'll attack first every round. However, he
isn't as strong as Ryu or Garr. Have Ryu turn into the Radiance Dragon and use
Shining Claw, and have Garr just attack. This boss won't do too much damage to
Ryu in dragon form, but after hitting Garr a few times, he'll be weakened, so
cure Garr a few times.
Items: None

Number: XXIV
Boss Name: Mikba
Location: Checkpoint
Party: Ryu, Garr, Rei
Level: Ryu 22, Garr 18, Rei 20
Difficulty: Hard
HP: ~2400
Exp: 1000
Zenny: 3000
Attacks: Multistrike: Up to three consecutive physical attacks
Quake: Earth magic; affects whole party
Resist: Nullifies all attacks done that turn
        Venom Breath: Poisons entire party
        Lucky Strike: Powerful physical attack
Dragon Gene: Not Recommended
Form: Defense
Strategy: You begin this battle with Rei dead, so have Ryu use an Ammonia on
him and have Garr use a Vitamin on him. On the next round, Rei will
automatically become a Weretiger. You cannot control him from here on through
the end of the battle. Have Ryu heal every turn, Garr just attacks, and Rei
will automatically attack on his own. Mikba reprisals most every time you attack
him. You must have the Weretiger to win this battle because it hits extremely
hard. It might go beserk and start attacking your characters, so have Ryu use
Influence just in case.

UPDATE!!!!
*****************************************************************************

Seph Hexen has this to say about the Mikba battle:

"Recently, I have faced off against Don Mikba, and have found a useful strategy
that might be a lot easier than the one in your FAQ (although your method has
worked many times):

Your characters must be near level 20, if not past it. I used Nina as my third
party member because of her agility. In addition, it is recommended that Ryu
have Influence in his skill list-- Nina will be too busy healing to bother.

Round 1:
Mikba will almost without fail use Venom Breath. This gives the party a good
time to revive and heal Rei to full power. Rei will go Weretiger, of course.

Round 2:
You must be nimble in this round! Make Nina use a Vitamin on Rei in advance,
since he will almost surely attack first, and Mikba will almost always counter.
Pray that Don Mikba doesn't get a Lucky Strike, and have Ryu use Shield. The
Shield portion of this strategy is the meat of it. Repeat this strategy for
Round 3, healing anyone who needs it.

Round 4:
Assuming all of your characters have made it intact, have Ryu use Influence,
because by this time, the Weretiger smells your blood and wants it. From this
point on, alternate Shield and Influence.

By the time you have used Shield enough times, Don Mikba's Lucky Strike should
do only 30 damage, leaving plenty of opporunities to heal and deal major damage
with the Weretiger.

I hope this helped! If I need to explain anything more, feel free to contact me!

Author's Note:

I believe you can only use one Shield spell for effect. Any subsequent spells after
that are useless.

Number: XXV
Boss Name: Huge Slug
Location: Plant
Party: Ryu, Peco, Momo
Level: Ryu 23, Peco 17, Momo 18
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~2500
Exp: 700
Zenny: 300
Attacks: Siphon: Steals small percentage of one party member's health and uses
it for its own
Molasses: Lowers Speed of one party member
Quake: Earth Magic; affects whole party
Dragon Gene: Flame + Miracle
Form: Attack, Ryu in the fron
Strategy: Transform into a Flame Behemoth immediately. Use the Flame Claw to
take appromiximately 600 damage off him. Do this for about 4 rounds and he's
toast. There's no need to worry about any of his attacks, as they won't do
anything to the Behemoth. He has a protective coating, however, one Flame
Claw will remove, so he's more susceptible to fire and doesn't evade as much.
Items: None

Number: XXVI
Boss Name: Shroom
Location: Plant
Party: Ryu, Momo, Peco
Level: Ryu 23, Peco 18, Momo 18
Difficulty: Hard
HP: ~2600-2900
Exp: 1300
Zenny: 300
Attacks: Head Cracker: 3x attack, does MAJOR damage
Ragnarok: Major Earth attacks; affects whole party
Lavaburst: Medium Fire attack on all
        Blitz: Defense ignoring attack; bases on HP; takes away half HP;
        affects all
Restore: Major healing on one character
Dragon Gene: Fusion (Momo + Peco)
Form: Defense
Strategy: Have Ryu transform using the Fusion gene to become a dragon with a
smokestack on top of it. Use Combustion with it to take away about 500 damage
a pop. Use this about 5-6 rounds and he'll be out. The only problems in this
battle are Ragnarok, Blitz, and Head Cracker. All his attacks hurt, so keep
Momo and Peco alive to be healers.
Items: None

*Note*
Before this battle, equip a Ring of Fire on Ryu
Number: XXVII
Boss Name: Gaist and Torches x2
Location: Cliff
Party: Ryu
Level: 23
Difficulty: Medium
HP: Gaist: ~2500
   Torches: ~500 each
Exp: 1000
Zenny: 500
Attacks: Corona: Major fire attack on all
Flare: Minor fire attack on one
Risky Blow: Critical attack; misses often
Dragon Gene: Force + Frost
Form: Normal
Strategy: Automatically become the Frost Warrior and use Frost Claw to take out
the torches. Then turn your attention to Gaist. Use either Frost Claw or Aura
(if you think you can spare the AP) on him. After many a Frost Claw he will go
down. If he somehow kills you in warrior form, transform into a Frost Dragon
and continue using Frost Claw
Items: None

*Note*
Before this battle, have one of your characters equipped with the Thunder Ring.
Number: XXVIII
Boss Name: Angler
Location: Steel Beach
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 26, Rei 21, Garr 20
Difficulty: Medium
HP: ~2800
Exp: 1000
Zenny: 200
Attacks: Venom Breath: Poisons entire party
Thunder Clap: Thunder attack one person; major damage
Dragon Gene: Any except Thunder
Form: Normal
Strategy: Don't use any thunder attacks on this guy, as he'll absorb them for
health. Have Rei turn into the Weretiger, Ryu transform into any dragon except
Thunder, and Garr attack. The only good attack this guy has is Thunder Clap,
but as long as you have one person equipped with the Thunder Ring and heal
immediately afterwards, he shouldn't be tough.

*Note*
If you get to the middle of the ship before fighting these guys, the gun
there will do about 60 damage to them once in a while, and will also take
away a turn of one of them.
Number: XXIX
Boss Name: Ammonites x2
Location: Black Ship
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 28, Rei 24, Garr 23
Difficulty: Hard
HP: ~2000 each
Exp: 3000
Zenny: 1000
Attacks: Tsunami: Water attack on all; takes away half HP
Multistrike: Hits physically up to three
Blizzard: Major ice damage on all
Iceblast: Minor ice damage on all
Dragon Gene: Thunder + Force
Form: Normal
Strategy: Have Ryu turn into a Thunder Warrior immediately. Have him use or
Thunder Claw on one of the Ammonites until he's dead. Have Rei transform
into the Weretiger when there's only one left. For the first part, have Rei
use Lightning, Garr attack, and Ryu use Thunder Claw. Then have Rei transform,
Garr attack, and Ryu use Aura. Destroy one quickly so you don't have to worry
about Tsunami. Once there's only one left, he'll use Blizzard, which can just
about wipe out the party. Have at least one person equipped with the Ring of
Ice. Just try to survive Blizzard and the battle will be nearly over.
Items: Steal the Moon Tears from each of them with Rei

Number: XXX
Boss Name: Elder
Location: Dragnier
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 29, Rei 26, Garr 25
Difficulty: Medium
HP: ~5000
Exp: 2000
Zenny: 1000
Attacks: Bad Back: Doesn't do anything
Myollnir: Major lightning attack on all
Inferno: Major fire attack on all
Dragon Gene: Can't use
Form: Normal
Strategy: You can't use your dragon powers here, so be prepared for a long fight.
Jono has a LOT of HP, but this battle goes pretty fast anyways. Have some Rings
of Fire and Thunder Rings equipped on your people. Have Rei transform into the
Weretiger, Ryu attack or heal, and Garr attack. He seems to do two magical or
physical attacks in a row, then Bad Back, so use that time to heal!
Items: Steal a Dynamite from him with Rei

Number: XXXI
Boss Name: Manmo
Location: Desert of Death
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 30, Rei 27, Garr 25
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~3000
Exp: 2000
Zenny: 1000
Attacks: Quake: Minor earth damage to all
Dragon Gene: Miracle + ???
Form: Defense
Strategy: This guy is powerful, and can really hurt with his reprisals and attacks.
Have Ryu transform into a Mammoth and use Meteor Storm constantly on Manmo. You can't
be killed in this form if you're level 30+. Just keep doing that until he's dead.
Items: Steal a Power Food from him with Rei
      Win: Aries Glove (rare)

*Note*
Before this battle, have your party equipped with Rings of Ice and Thunder Rings.
Number XXXII
Boss Name: Chimera
Location: Orbital Station
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 33, Rei 30, Garr 28
Difficulty: Hard
HP: ~7500
Exp: 3000
Zenny: 7500
Attacks: Paralyzer: Paralyzes one party member for remainder of fight
Myollnir: Major lightning attack on one party member
Blizzard: Major ice attack on all
Restore: Heal heavy wounds on one character
Dragon Gene: Force + Trance
Form: Defense
Strategy: The bosses are getting tougher, and the Chimera is an example of that.
If he paralyzes someone, have another person use a Panacea on him. Have Ryu become
the Myrmidon and pound the Chimera with Aura, which will do 1000+ damage. Don't
have Rei become the Weretiger until the Chimera has about 2000 health left. In
Weretiger form, Rei will dish out about 300-800 damage per turn. Have Garr as your
healer, using Panaceas if needed. If not, just attack with him. If Ryu runs out of
AP, have him cure your party, and if that's not needed, have him attack.
Items: Steal a Firecracker from him with Rei

*Note*
Before this battle, make sure you have Kyrie equipped onto Ryu. One hit of this
will kill Arwan.
*Note*
Have the Dream Ring equipped on Ryu before this battle
Number: XXXIII
Boss Name: Arwan
Location: Dream World
Party: Ryu
Level: 36
Difficulty: Easy
HP: ~2500
Exp: 5000
Zenny: 0
Attacks: Chill: Lowers Speed; attacks
Sleep: Causes entire party to go to sleep
Dragon Gene: Force + Trance; None
Form: Normal
Strategy: Have Ryu use Kyrie, if you have it. One hit should kill the Arwan. If
you don't have it, you just have a longer fight ahead. Don't worry, this guy is
easy. Have Ryu transform into a Myrmidon and use Aura on him. A couple of rounds
of this and this guy is history. The only thing you need to be wary of is Chill,
because it lowers your speed.
Items: None

*Note*
Make SURE you have Balance Rings equipped on your party. This will protect against
his Howling attack
Number: XXXIV
Boss Name: Dragon Lord
Location: Eden
Party: Ryu, Rei, Garr
Level: Ryu 38, Rei 34, Garr 33
Difficulty: Very Hard
HP: ~12500
Exp: 5000
Zenny: 3000
Attacks: Howling: Makes entire party confused
Sirocco: Major Fire/Wind attack on all
Inferno: Major fire attack on all
Blizzard: Major ice attack on all
Triple Blow: Three consecutive physical attack
Dragon Gene: Force + Trance
Form: Defense
Strategy: This guy is the hardest boss in the game, really. Have your Rings equipped
to protect against Sirocco, Howling, Inferno, and Blizzard. First thing to do if have
Rei Pilfer the Dragon Blade off the Dragon Lord. Then have Ryu transform into a
Myrmidon and use Aura. Don't have Rei transform into a Weretiger, but have him cure,
and if that's not needed, use attacks like Triple Blow or Shadowwalk. Have Garr just
attack. The D. Lord is very powerful and can kill any one of your people easily, so
have Rei be in charge of curing or reviving any characters. Have Rei give Ryu Wisdom
Seeds/Fruits if he needs them. You must keep up the Myrmidon form up, because it's
your best form of offense. Keep this up and this guy should be toast.
Items: Steal the Dragon Blade from him with Rei
      Win: Dragon Armor (every time)

*Note*
I'm not going to give boss help against the Samples found on Orbital Station, as
they're all examples of bosses you've fought a long time ago.

*Note*
Have everyone equipped with Balance Rings before this battle, it'll make it much
easier.
*Note*
Don't talk to the 4th woman here, and Myria won't use either Venom or Holocaust.
Rumor.

        Titan Belt
        Titan Belt
Strategy: This is it, the final battle. Unleash everying you have, including
Wisdom Fruits and Hourglasses. Have Ryu transform into the Myrmidon and use
Aura continuously. Don't have Rei transform into the Weretiger until she has
either about 2000 HP or after Ryu has transformed back. Have Garr and Rei heal
or attack. Use your best attacks here, such as Shadowwalk, Triple Blow,
Bonebreak, etc. Don't use assist magic here, as she'll dispel it. Keep up
Aura and the battle will be done quickly, as Aura will dish out about 1500+
damage. Be wary of her Venom, use Panaceas to cure the status ailments. Be
wary of Holocaust, but just cure after it and you'll be in great shape!
Items: Steal a Napalm from her with Rei
