II. Introduction

Judy is the character that I recommend you start with if you are first playing
the game. Her quest is not too difficult and her final boss is easy. By playing
Judy you will get to understand the magic system in Unlimited Saga.

III. Using this Guide
===============================================================================
Through out this guide you will notice crudely drawn maps. The maps aren’t
completely accurate but they do show the direction in which you are supposed to
go. Occasionally the map will have special symbols and those will be explained
in those Sections.

There are others but they don’t appear in all quests, therefore they are only
mentioned when they are needed. One other thing that you may notice on some
maps is a line or box may have a letter in it like A. Normally this means that
if you exit from A or warp from A, you will end up at the other A. Here is an
example of that below:

This means that if you started at square number 1 you would need the Locksmith
skill to get to the next square which goes to the A. The two A’s are connected
so that means you can get to that section where you would then need the
Swimming skill to get to square number 2. Situations like this sometimes Occur
on the same level but is usually marked to represent where a stairway ends up.
Reading the Adventure Data
===========================
At the beginning of each adventure I will tell you the name of the adventure,
Info provided by the game and the number of turns. After that is a short
description or text explaining what to do for a particular section. Finally
below that is the map information telling you the location, condition and
monster types that reside in the area. Although a particular adventure may have
many types of monsters, not all of the monsters appear in the same area. The
condition is the general weather or atmosphere associated with an area. You can
check this at any time in the adventure screen by selecting skill and then
press the X Button. Conditions in a level can affect the rate at which you
learn magic. For example, if you are standing in water then you won’t learn a
fire spell as quickly. The same holds true for the type of area as well. If you
are in the Jade Forest, the wood type spells increase quickly.

1. Where’s My Family?
=============================
The game begins in Sadovos where Judy lives. Judy’s family runs the Magick
Emporium. Judy will introduce you to some of her family members starting with
her grandpa Josef, her sister Marie, her brother Roy, and her father Thomas.
After meeting her father there is a knock on the door and a Clyde is at the
door to see her grandpa. After Clyde is escorted into the room Judy’s mother
Rebecca enters and asks if there are any guests. When Judy tells her that Clyde
is visiting, something happens and Clyde uses his magic to trap Josef in a
mirror. Clyde thinks that he has won but because he used magic against him,
defensive magic was activated automatically. The magic sent everyone in the
house somewhere else. Judy didn’t go very far and ends up back at home right
away. She sees her grandfather in the mirror. He tells her that the stronger
they are the farther transported away they go. He then instructs Judy to find
the others. He tells her to take a crystal hoop which tells her where to find
family nearby. Judy consults the Crystal and it tells her to go north.

Now that you have Kurt you may want to use him to do all of the fighting. If
you go into the status menu and select Magic Tablets while on Judy, you will
notice that it is highlighted yellow meaning that Judy is learning that tablet.
To learn magic all you need to do is to cast a spell once every battle. Judy
has a Bestial Staff with Fire Arrows, but you want to use the familiars to
conserve its durability. In the Southern Jade Forest where you start, there are
two treasure chests that are always there. Get them and then head for the
Forest’s Eye. If a treasure chest is locked, choose the treasure chest, select
Melee and choose a Melee skill like punch. A reel will spin and if you land on
one of the green circles you will break the chest open. Sometimes you may
shatter the item inside, but for now, that is your only chance.
When you reach the Forest’s eye, a group of carriers will approach you. He
doesn’t threaten you but says that strange happenings are always afoot in the
forest and says that you better watch yourselves.

When you are inside the Forest’s Eye, you must go straight north a total of
four times be you will exit. Below are the different paths that you may see by
going in any direction.

When you reach the northern Jade Forest just follow the path until you reach
the path until you reach the box where it says Boss. A dragon will swoop down
attack. The dragon isn’t too difficult though.

The dragon is weak against Fire so just unload on him with Judy and attack with
Kurt using the Copper Sword. Once it is defeated you will see a bat-like
creature fly away. Take one more step and the adventure is over. When you are
at the Panel screen choose carefully on how to rearrange your panel. I like to
get rid of one of the special familiars for Judy so that I can later on place
them in a line or a triangle. Doing this will help increase her magic later on.

2. Save Ursula!
=============================
When you arrive in Serin, Judy asks if anyone is there. That’s where she meets
her father. She tells him about her grandpa and then a lady by the name of
Therese enters and talks to them and then after that there is a knock on the
door. A man sent by a Mr. Beauvais storms in and quotes him saying “I am deeply
indebted to the late Mr. Heinz. Therefore, I would like to propose to take care
of Miss Therese...” And he says that he wants to take Therese’s daughter Ursula
to be Armand’s wife. Therese is mad that he kidnapped her daughter and kicks
the messenger out. Having a bad feeling Therese storms out.
After that a scene with Clyde ensues and Clyde realizes that he is the furthest
away. He wants the Tablet of the Forbidden Spell. He once again sends the bat
after Judy. To advance the story enter the Cherub Inn and talk to the employee
named Kent who will say that Armand and his men kidnapped Ursula. Now the
adventure “Save Ursula!” is available.

To beat the adventure, all you need to do is rescue Ursula from Armand. At the
first fork, go southeast to reach the area that he is in. Ursula will be with
him as well. After demanding that Armand return Ursula, he answers by having a
servant attack you. The wizard summons a fiend which turns its fire on him and
after that Armand runs. Defeat the fiend.

After you defeat the fiend, Armand agrees to let Ursula go. Armand’s dad shows
up and orders him to go along with Judy. Judy doesn’t know why he has to come

Besides rescuing Ursula, you can also explore the cave. If you travel to the
northern part of the cave you can fight a boss which is 3 Orcs. After you
defeat the three Orcs there will be three treasure chests.

3. Follow the Crystal Hoop

After taking on Armand, you must follow the Crystal Hoop to the next family
member. The hoop says to go northeast. The next area is the Vale of Swords but
going this way across the Vale isn’t too difficult.

canyon to get there.

You just need to make it across the Vale of Swords which isn’t that difficult
coming from this end. Once you make it to the bridge, you will be ambushed by
Clyde’s bat. The bat will call forth a Pinhut Titus to attack.

I like to draw this battle out and take damage by using melee attacks. Go for
combos at all times and this guy should be as good as dead. After the battle,
three more pop up from behind but Thomas says that he will handle them on his
own.
Judy crosses the bridge safely while Thomas falls down to the bottom of the
Vale. Judy says that her daddy will be fine. Just finish the adventure by going
to Solophero.

4. Bandits Are Attacking!
=============================
You arrive in the next village at night time. Just as you think everything is
alright you hear someone shout “Bandits! Bandits are attacking!!” Now you must
get rid of the bandits. The secret is to find out where the bandits are, attack
the first group aggressively and then continue moving without healing. You
begin in the center. One way is to defeat the first group and then continue in
one direction around the exterior. If there is a safe spot on either side while
going around, just go to the middle again and seek out the next group of
bandits. As long as you don’t heal, there will be very little reinforcements.

Strategy

Remember at the start of the game you had a Bestial Armlet in your inventory
with the shock ability, now is the time to use it. The magic of Shock is strong
against the bandits and can take many of them out in one attack and can weaken
all of them. Just use that to get rid of the bandits quickly. After you have
cleared the village of the bandits, the rest will run away. After the battle
you notice a familiar figure.

5. That Familiar Big Back

Enter the High Hopes Lodge and select the only adventure from the menu. You are
going to follow the familiar figure into the bandits’ hideout.

Normally when you do this map as a side quest, you have to hit three switches
to open the door in the arena. In this adventure however you only need to go to
the arena and fight the boss. When you arrive at the arena a group of bandits
will appear and the boss will say “Prepare to die!” Just then, Roy steps in and
the leader kicks Roy out. Just then a voice says “that ain’t gonna happen.” and
says die. The leader of the bandits disagrees and is killed by the stranger and
the stranger orders the other bandits to kill them. When they refuse he says he
will do it himself.

This guy has an impressive array of spells but sadly he doesn’t use them. Just
attack with one attack at a time until he is dead. Don’t worry about taking
damage because you have a lot of Life Points between Armand, Kurt and Roy.
After he is defeated he will drop “the magic tablet of the forbidden spell”.

suggests that they go to Gadeira and take a boat from there to reach Longshank.

to find Rebecca starts. Whatever you do don’t waste a turn healing, it’s not

10. Save Grandpa!

Return to Sadovos only to find out that Clyde’s bat has shattered the mirror
that Josef is trapped in. Just then Thomas comes in and suggests that to rescue
him they should enter through Deities’ Table. Select the final adventure and
don’t go for this one unless you think that you are strong enough. You are only
allowed six members because Josef will join as soon as you rescue him.

save Grandpa!

Start
Begin by following the Secret passage way to the reflection of the table on the
floor and then select skill and examine the reflected Table. As soon as you
examine it, it will tell you that it’s a warp zone and ask if you want to get
on. Say yes and you will be warped to the Mirror of Sins. Once you warp into
this mirror you won’t be able to return.
As soon as you enter the Mirror of Sins you will see a paper with Judy’s
grandpa’s writing. He has dispersed the spell into five pieces and that is the
first piece. There are four different mirrors and one piece each can be found
in each mirror.
The enemies in the mirror are not seen so easily and are hidden in the shards.
You won’t know what the enemy is until you have selected the shard. If you see
broken shards come at you then a reel will follow. Land on one of the green
circles and it goes away. If you land on anything else, then you will be
attacked by a bird that only appears in the mirror. You may want to get
attacked on purpose because these birds drop Magic Tablets.

Take a look at the recommended skills at the adventure description to see which
ones are useful. Only the Architect skill is useful, but all of the other field
skills that you have will also light up. The mirror has a way of confusing you,
but don’t be fooled.
When you have the first four pieces of paper save at the Tetra Force. Make sure
that this is a separate save file because this is the end of the game and you
won’t be able to go anywhere else. After grabbing the last piece of paper you
will be warped to where Judy’s Grandpa is. After your reunion a much younger
looking Clyde appears and attacks.

This is by far the easiest of the 7 last bosses or at least a tie with Armics.
Just use your power techniques to take away his hit points and then go for
combos. He has a wide variety of attacks but the only ones that you should fear
are Arrows and Voidwalker. After he is defeated you are transported to the Blue
Moon to fight Chaos.
