I. Introduction
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
Hello, I started writing this guide as I was looking in the
message boards and everyone was frantic about the locations of the tokens. I
was actually writing a guide for the secret tokens in the Spider-man 2 game
(still working on that) before Ultimate Spider-man was released.
I put a rush on this version, because there is an actual payoff
to getting all the tokens. Only thing you get in Spider-Man 2 is bragging
rights.
It eventually grew into a full grown walkthrough and guide to the whole
game.
I had some help with creating the Easter Egg Section. In the "Contacts
and Thanks" section I list them specifically for their help in this section.
They were all a big help.

After finding some tapes about his parents Peter goes to find his
childhood friend, Eddie Brock. Eddie tells Peter of the Venom suit, takes him

Peter learns that his father lost the Venom suit to Bolivar Trask, and
wasn't able to finish his work. Peter determined to finish his fathers work
goes to the sample of the suit to work on. While getting his sample Peter
spills a bit on himself. The suit makes Peter stronger, but drives him to
nearly kill. Peter fights to rid himself of this suit, but it has bonded to
him. Using powerful high-tension power wires the suit is removed, but nearly
kills Peter. Even with his super powers he couldn't control this suit. How
could a normal man even hope to try.
Peter's time as the symbiote Spider-Man was caught on the news, and Eddie
sees this. Knowing that is the Venom suit he rushes to the Science Center to
find Peter. Peter tells him the suit needs to be destroyed. This suit is all
Eddie has of his father, and is against it's destruction. Eddie relents after
Peter tells him if their parents knew what this suit would do they would want
to destroy this creation. Peter takes the sample and destroys it.

another sample of the suit. To prove Peter that the suit is controlable Eddie
reaches into the vial-the nightmare of Venom has been born.

electricity, Peter learned the fundamental rule of the super hero business:
"If there is no corpse- the guy is alive."

                            Ch1.Father's Pride
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will get some fill in on the story so far. You know where Peter got
his powers and now the origin of the Ultimate Universe Venom. As Peter you
start out in a really bad spot. No costume to hide your real identity, your
facing down your childhood friend, no web shooters, and your socks are
getting wet. (I hate wet socks)

Let the fight begin.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Venom 1

This is a pretty easy fight to win.
The walks you through a kick tutorial.
Give Venom a couple wacks and then
for your Spidey sense to go off. Dodge
the attacks and keep bashing till an
arrow appears on the screen and a green
beacon appears near the goal post.
A cut scene will take place showing a
cool battle. Venom will then try to
absorb you. Follow the game's pop-up
direction to free yourself.
Continue your bash and dodge attack
till the cut scene starts.
It is tricky, but this will move a
bit faster if you can knock him back on
those downed power lines.

In the cut scene the cops show up
taking aim at venom and force him back
to the power lines and peter fears his
old friend is dead.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                            Ch2.Workout
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Three Months Later...
Peter is walking with MJ, but she hasn't yet repaired your costume of the
damage, in which for some reason you sustained damage to your butt. Peter then
plans to head home for his web shooters and then meet MJ at "The Place" to get
his repaired butt...costume.

Follow the tutorials that appear on the screen and the beacons.

    Tutorials:
     Wall crawling
     Jump
     Double Jump

I recommend jumping around the neighborhood, before you hit that last
beacon at Peter's basement. You'll hear some funny quotes of Peter talking to
himself.
In the cut scene Peter gets his web shooters and in the news learns that
an annoying old foe the Shocker is causing trouble.
Back on Peter's roof follow the tutorial on web zipping and web swinging.
Follow the beacons all the way to "The Place" in northern Queens. MJ has
repaired your costume and now get on your way to save the day.
Travel south to meet up with Shocker.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Shocker

 Easy fight. Basically, just another
tutorial for your web attack. Don't
bother trying to bash at him. Just web
him up and he will go down fast.
---------------------------------------

From here it is off to save some poor woman being attacked by some brit
thugs. Beat down and tied down these thugs. Go see how the woman is, but she
is hardly grateful. Those punks buds will show up now. Beat them down as
well.
Things will start up now from Peter's house. The City Goals and
Unlockables are now open in the Start menu. Head toward the beacon in the west
to the school. Hitting this beacon will start up the very first Johnny Storm
race. This also earns you the very first racing medal. Best tip to win these
races is to reduce your up and down motion to a minimum. Climb up only when
needed. This is the easiest race to win against Johnny.

With the first race won you have unlocked the East race challenges and
you can now start collecting the game's tokens. (See Token Direction section
for more detail) Now you also have City Goals to meet in order to move the
story along. These can be checked in the Start menu.

|City Goals               |
---------------------------
|Tokens   1|Combat Tours 0|
|          |              |
|Race     1|City Events  1|

Once these goals have been met you can follow the beacon that has now
appeared, or you can do some races and start earning some swing speed
upgrades. I would recommend you upgrade to help with the chases that will
happen in the story mode. (See Race section of walkthrough for more
information) Either way, once you are ready follow the beacon to the Daily
Bugle, and start the next chapter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VENOM
=====

Eddie has awoken, and who knows where he has been for the past few
months. It's hard to tell if even he knows. He's in pain. Something feels very
wrong. Like missing a large chunk of yourself that keeps you from being whole.
Follow the beacons and the pop-up tutorials.

    Tutorials:
     Super Leap
     Fighting
     Feeding (Ohhhhhh sweet, sweet revenge)
     Tentical Zip
     Wall crawling

Fight the punks around town and practice the carnage (this is
fore-shadowing something) you are going to inflict. Once you lob the motorbike
into the bar get ready for a new boss fight with one of Marvels shortest
bad-asses.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                            Ch4.Hell of a Mess
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Wolverine

Not too hard of a boss battle
considering who your fighting. Logan
will kind of talk a bit about himself.
Pretty much letting you know how much
of a mistake you made. That was HIS
bike.
Keep your distance if you can, but
he will move in on you. Tentical whip
Logan again and again. Feed if you have
to on the bystanders, but don't leave
Logan alone for too long or his healing
factor will kick into action.

One Logan's life is about half way
down you and Logan will get in a
battle of strength. Win out and you
will toss him nito the next room. Keep
whipping at him, but watch your damage.
No more guys to feed on.
Once his health is gone you will
finish Logan off with a mean shot to
the head and off you go.

Once you have meet these goals another beacon will appear. I would
recommend again that you do more combat tours and gain the life upgrades. This
will help in the coming boss battles. In some it is hard to avoid damage. It's
up to you. If you wish to move the story along follow the beacon to school.
Your in study hall with MJ, getting ready for the coming test, and MJ
hears over her radio that something REALLY big is tearing up Queens. She
boots you out and you already regret it.

Follow the beacons through Queens till you have to save a guy from some
powerlines. Pick him up and then drop him off near the ambulance. You know
it's safe to let him go when his outline is green.
Get back in the chase after this juggernaut. Now you will have to save
the owner of an electronics store. Hit the action button near the large tv
and activate a strength test challenge.
One saved it's back to the race. Stop those guys who lotted that guys
store while he was trapped. Once your back in the chase you see a woman is
trapped under a car. Time to save her in another strength test challenge. Grab
her and jump out. The car will explode trapping people in the subway. Drop
this lady off at the ambulance and go to the firey car to active another
strength test challenge. These people will take care of themselves leaving you
to get after the cause of all this mayhem.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             Ch6.Inexpugnable
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now you meet R.H.I.N.O. He is one big bad mother...(even I can't finish
my lame joke). After R.H.I.N.O. helps give Peter that pop in his back he
needed it's off to a chase. Stay close or you will lose and have to start
over.
R.H.I.N.O. will bash through a building and then knock a car into a
building close by. Abandon your chase and rescue this guy. Drop him off at the
ambulance. Listen for a Scorpion reference. Get back on R.H.I.N.O.'s tail, and
then help the lone cop stop the looters. Now move after your target and let
the boss fight begin.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: R.H.I.N.O.

Pete shows you the plan ahead in the
cut scene. It's not really clear why
R.H.I.N.O. was going after this tanker,
but who realy cares. Jump on his back
and start bashing away. Jump off as he
starts to fall back. Run now to the wet
cement. Wait for him to catch up with
you and dodge when your spidey-sense
tells you. He is now stuck. Get to the
crane and let him have it.

Follow the damaged baddie toward the
car lot. (Everything Must Go indeed)
Your now trapped in this smal area.
It's bull in a china shop time. Watch
out for his attacks, and when he
tosses a car at you. Avoid his attacks
by dodging when the spidey-sense goes
off. Be careful of secondary threats of
flying cars hit by the shock wave.
Eventually, the sparks will leave his
damaged back. Jump onto R.H.I.N.O.'s
back and bash away. Jump off as he is
about to fall back on you again.
Once you have his life down to about
1/4th he will start a VERY fast charge.
When he misses he is now open to
attack.
Once defeated you will get to meet
the man in the machine.
---------------------------------------

We have no idea if he made it back in time for the test. He does have
some new City Goals.

VENOM
=====

The Maxum-worthy hottie, Silver Sable, is hunting Eddie Brock with her
band of mercenaries. Still in pain Eddie suddenly transforms into venom.
Sable's men will attack. Just go wild on them. Toss their own cars back
at them. Feed on civillians if you take too much damage. Follow the arrows as
they appear and you will get away. Sable just seems 'thrilled' with the idea of
all those condolence letters she's going to have to send.

SPIDEY

Now starting as Peter you are told that you can now do 4 consecutive
attacks. Really helpful in Combat Tours. This would be anotehr good time to
set the story aside for a while and get more health upgrades. Your choice

On this class trip you are at Empire State Art Museum(ESAM). On this trip
for some reason you don't see any other class mates. This would have been a
good time to show off Liz Allen in the story in her little skirt.
As Peter is getting his geek on his head starts to pound. He has no idea
what is wrong, but he knows it is major trouble.
Eddie is nearby. Something is drawing him near. He knows there is
something that he needs.
Flash to the cut scene of Venom and Spidey crawling up the walls. Peter
is surprised to see his friend alive, but Venom wants more then a hug. Boss
fight begin.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Venom 2

This is your second battle with Venom
and Peter now knows what has caused
the massive headaches. It is Eddie.
Just being near him is killing him.

In this fight kep moving. Jump and
jab. Avoid staying close for too long.
Venom will try and suck you in to
absorb you.
After he goes for an attack he will
hollar leaving him open for a 3 or 4
piece combo. Just hit him with that
combo and get away.

When his life gets low enough the
battle will end.
---------------------------------------

Venom will pound Spidey around like a doll and then Sable's men show up
and take Eddie down. Peter mistakenly thinks these guys are with S.H.I.E.L.D.
They take Eddie away leaving you there with your bruised ribs.

VENOM
=====
Time for another wacky chase. Electro has been hired by Trask to test
the limits of the Venom suit. Eddie had to cooperate. It was either help or
die. I wonder how much it cost Trask to keep both Electro and Sbale on the
payroll?
Just outside of Trash Industries building Venom is being held ni this
containment truck. Sable's mercenaries seem squeamish, and Electro is
thrilled. Seems he is getting well paid. Before Electro can really get into
the heart of his payment Venom bursts his containment.

Best tip I can give on these races is to pay more attention to the small
map in the lower right hand corner. It can be easy to lose track of Electro on
the screen. Don't get too close, but naturally don't fall too far behind. When
you see he has stopped keep your distance. Electro is about to send out a huge
wave of electricity. When he does this it is a good time to feed on the
people in the street. This race will go on for a while and end at the Daily
Bugle, where Peter is working.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                               Ch10.Mine
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time for your next battle with a boss. This fight will have two stages.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Electro

Stage 1-
Sidey is out for the count. Venom
only wants to save Spidey for himself.
Electro want to fry our hero. Keep
Electro off of Spidey and on you. Whip
him about, and toss cars. Watch out for
when Electro stops fighting and stands
still. He is about to use that huge
wave again. Get away and feed a little
if you need it. If your okay on life
take this time to jump around and crush
some of the glowing signs here in Times
Square. These come to play later on.
When Electro's life gets down to about
1/4th we go to stage 2.

Stage 2-
Electro zaps the sign of all it's
power and now he is super charged. Now
Electro can suddenly appear. Be sure to
destroy all the glowing signs now or
Electro can recharge his life. Move
around to avoid the blasts, and toss
cars fast using the double O tap. If
Electro is near a fire hydrant give
those a whip and if the water hits him
he wil lose the charge for some time.
the cars are your best bet.
---------------------------------------

Once Electro is down for the count Nick Fury will chase Venom off, while
being very polite. Peter is woken by Fury and has a very good point to make.
How is it a 15 year old kid can do a better job at holding these super-powered
nutcases then a goverment agency.

The next beacon will appear on a building east of the East Tunnel
enterance. Hit that beacon to start the next event chase. The Beetle has taken
thing very powerful and for some reason is flying low in the city of Queens.
Spidey catches up with Beetle and comments on his suit. Beetle takes a good
blast and gets moving through the East Tunnel.

As you reach the East Tunnel enterance Beetle will bomb the tunnel
trapping these people. Save them and take them to the ambulance that is parked
back near where this chase began. With both guys saved go through the tunnel.
Once through Beetle will toss a gernade that creates some kind of shield.
Go over and get on his rivited tail.
Once the chase comes to a small clearing that is east of Central Park
Beetle will makea sharp turn and go through a building. A woman is trapped
inside. Grab her and keep goign west through the tunnel. Drop her off at the
ambulance. Get after Beetle and he wil lob some gernades your way and bolt.
Keep kind of high. It makes it easier to keep an eye on him. He will then
toss more shield gernades. If your high enough they are easy to avoid. Get
back after him. He will try those shield gernades again. You will be going
through Central Park, over ESAM, and back through the park. Once on the West
side of Manhattan Beetle will throw bombs around some people's cars. Jump down
and save the people. You may have to take a few hits in he process. Pretty
nasty to shoot at a guy trying who is trying to save people. With everyone
saved Beetle will be back on the move to the east.
A cut scene will start and Beetle will steal a container that has
something to do with Sandman. Odd though seeing that Sandman isn't even in
this game. Must have something to do with an event that will take place in the
comics.
Get back on Beetle's trail. He is about to go shield crazy in an attempt
to slow you down. Stay high and the shields are easy to avoid. He will climb
up to a building that is under contruction. Here your battle with Beetle takes
place.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                          Ch12.Skyscraper Battle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's see what Beetle has going now that he has stopped running.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Beetle 1

This is a pretty easy fight. Don't go
too far out of your way to get after
him. Find where he is flying around and
then wait for him to come after you.
Jump and bash at him. Try and get him
low and then put a combo to him.
Beetle will lob some gernades at you
and some laser blasts, but all of them
are easy to avoid. If you see Beetle
glowing red get away. He is about to
unlease a wave of energy.

When his life gets to about half way
Beetle wll fly around and then just
leave.
---------------------------------------

Spidey will look around, but Beetle is nowhere. He asks the people
hanging around. They saw him fly into the Latvarian Embassy. Not knowing
what he can do now he leaves.
I was surprised with everything he went through tonight he would
drop it so easy.

In the scene Eddie talks about the problem he ahs been having with the
suit. In the process gives away Peter's secret identity to Bolivar Trask.
Trask now wants to know everything about Peter.
Cut to Eddie and Sable flying through the city. Eddie has a plan and puts
it in play while alone with Sable. Those bonds didn't work well. In atacking
Sable you both go flying out the back of the vehicle. A cool falling battle
takes place. Venom thinks he has finished with Sable, but that lady isn't
done yet.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Silver Sable 1

Sable is fast and very agile. Best
whip at her from a distance, and toss
cars.
If you need some life jump away from
her and suck up the people.
 This isn;t a complicated fight.
Sometimes it's just hard to see her.
Toss cars and when her life if is down
the next cutscene will start the next
event.
---------------------------------------

Start killing Sable's men. Toss cars and kill to your content. Jump away
if their numbers get too big. Keep killing till you see an arrow on the
screen. Head to the glowing beacon.
Once you hit the beacon helicopters are in the mix and they are a huge
pain. They are far too manuverable then real helicopters. Kill the ground
troop and try not to stand still for too long. Those choppers can cause some
major damage. They make it hard to feed cause they deal out damage just as
fast as you can get it. You will see mroe beacons and those lead to cut
scenes. Just keep killing till you see that arrow and get to them. The last
beacon is the one near the East Tunnel.
Hit the last beacon and drive Sable and her men into the river. They have
lost Venom, but they still got Peter to go after.

The next beacon is at the Daily Bugle. Once there a cut scene begins. MJ
has found a website that may give some hints behind Beetle's origin, and some
wild theories about Spider-Man. As MJ is fishing for a date Peter gets another
call. It is Nick Fury telling Peter to get to the roof.
On the roof Fury tells Peter to back off of the Latvarian Embassy. How he
knew Peter was on it is a bit odd. Are they watching Peter?
Seems Fury's demand was only half hearted. He has manipulated Peter into
doing what they couldn't. The authorities can't go into an embassy. It would
cause a horrible incident, but Spidey isn't a member of any goverment agency.
Peter leaps into the embassy and some time later is blasted out by the
Green Goblin. You can't let him go. Get after his green firey butt.

The chase is on against the Green Goblin. Like the chase with Beetle try
to stay above and watch your lower right hand map. When the Goblin stops he
wil lob fire bombs at you. Green Goblin has really good aim.
When the chase gets to about south of Central Park the Goblin will push
down a billboard, trapping people in their cars. Do the strength tests to save
the people. You're going to get some hits. (This kind of stuff is why I
advised doing combat tours to upgrade your life.)
With the people saved get after Goblin and this two staged fight will
begin.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Green Goblin

Stage 1-
Gobbie has two main attacks. He
throws fire bombs, and leaps at you.
Also Golbin is covered in fire. This is
basically an impenetrable shield. Don't
even try to hit him while he's on fire.
Keep avoiding his attack and he will
charge up. He's going to fire a double
fire bomb that is very hard to avoid.
Best tip I can give to avoid this hit
is to either run to one side and do a
quick double jump, or you can jump up
on the first bomb and webzip out of his
line of fire on the last one. That last
tip rarely worked for me.
Once Goblin does this double fire
bomb he is open for attack. If you can
knock him on his back you can get in
two good combos.
When Goblin's life get to about half
he will grab you by the leg, leap, and
toss you into what I'm guessing could
be the UN building.

Stage 2-
The Goblin is a bit easier now that
he doesn't have the double fire bomb.
Goblin will throw a fire bomb and then
jump after you. Eventually, he will
charge, jump high, and send out a ring
of fire. This light show leaves him
wide open. Get i there and bash in as
many combos as you can.
Once knocked out the cut scene
starts.
---------------------------------------

S.H.I.E.L.D. shows up just in time to clean up after you. They don't even
say, "Thank you.".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VENOM
=====
The Beetle is now after Venom for a sample. It is never really made clear
who Beetle was after Venom for. I'm guessing it is for the Latverian's. Trask
wan'ts the whole thing. What is the Latverian plan. They want Green Goblin,
Sandman samples, and a sample from Venom. This just can't be good for Spidey
in the future. Nothing comes of it in this game.

This is a pretty short chase with Venom. It ends at a warehouse in
Harlem, northwest Manhattan. Once there the boss fight begins.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Beetle

Stage 1-
 Beetle will fly about tossing
gernades at you. Go to him. Whip at
Beetle. Like when you fought Beetle as
Spidey when he glows get away from the
energy wave he's going to send out.
After a while Beetle will have these
evergy arm blades. Now wait for Beetle
to come to you. When he does whip at
him, knock him back and lay into him.
When his life is down about 1/4th he
will start throwing gernades with a
lot of smoke. This starts off the
second stage as he brings up a force
shield.

Stage 2-
Your now trapped in here with laser
traps in the corners. He will throw
gernades at you. Don't let him hover in
the corner or he will blast out a wave
of lasers across the field.
Follow Beetle around till you see him
stop. When he does whip at him from a
distance. Getting to close to attack
can cause you to fall into the trap
floor. He will also come at you with
the energy blades. get his life down
and the battle will end.
---------------------------------------

Don't ask me why he keeps leaving these guys alone after battles. He
leaves Wolverine and now Beetle. Maybe all that metal would give him
indigestion. With a name like Venom I bet he would have killer gas.

passing out. Waking in the car Sable pops him again. She tells you not to
fight it, but like Fury will tell you that if you tell Peter one thing he will
to the opposite.
The car skids out on the bridge and Peter leaps out. Sable wants you back
in, but your up for a fight.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Silver Sable 2

Sable is a really good fighter. She
will block about everything. Take
Sable's men out first thing. You have
no web shooters in this fight.
Jump around like a loon and bash
away. Also try the bouce off the wall
attack. She isn't impressed with you,
but it wont matter as long as your the
one causing damage.
More of Sable's men will show up. Be
sure to take them out.
Knock her life down, and a cut scene

going on. This ends your fight with
Silver Sable.
---------------------------------------

Now it's time to save these peole. Start with the car to your right. Use
the strength test meter to hold the car up as Sable saves the mother and child
in the car.
Go east now and get that guy out of his car. Back west for another
strength test challenge. there is one more guy up in the rafters of the
bridge. I have NO idea how he got up there. Maybe he was working up there the
whole time. Climb up the rafters and try to be quick about it.

Sable blasts you again with darts. She must really enjoy doing that. Who
shoul show up now, but venom. He takes Silver Sable with him and starts
running. It takes him a few seconds, but Peter sees that he can't let Venom
eat her. That's right you have to save the woman who has been pumping you with
drugs, and not in a good way.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             Ch17.Rescue
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Venom is really fast while he is jumping. Not a real steady pace in this
chase. Best tip I can give you is don't try and mimic Venom's moves in this
race. Just hang around near Venom, watching his movements in map in the bottom
corner. Just swing around buildings sides and watch for him to move.
This race will be heading south till you come to the Trask building. Get
ready for the next venom battle.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Venom 3

 This is another protect the
unconscious person from getting killed.
Keep Venom's attention on you. He
will throw cars at you, and he's only
open when he's screaming. That ussually
happens after he sends an attack at
you. Wait for your spidey sense to go
off and then leap. Try to land near
Venom, to the side, once his attack is
over. Giv;e him a good combo and then
jump away.
Keep this up till Eddie is out.
---------------------------------------

Once Eddie is down for the count those drugs you were pumped will finally
kick in. Spidey passes out, and Sable comes to. She was a big help wasn't she?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                           Ch18.Brothers
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VENOM
=====
Eddie wakes up and somewhere else thigns are going horribly wrong. A red
Venom-like creature comes bursting in. This is an incarnation of Carnage.
Eddie can just feel it. He knows this is Peter. What happened to our webbed
hero?

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Carnage "Peter"

Carnage is very fast, and you can't
leave him alone for too long or he will
just regenerate the damage you give. He
is also a lot stronger then you are.
Whip at him as he bounces around like
a fool. When you see him stand still
and start to freak out get away. He is
about to send out a huge wave of
tenicals. Once you get his life down to
about about 1/4th he will bolt for the
sealed door.
Strength Test event appears at the
door. Carnage will statr to regenerate,
but that really can't be helped. Once
you are through the door Carnage will
be out the next one. There should be a
person in here to feed on. Strength
Test at this next door.
In this room fight Carnage again. Try
to avoid killing the poeple around here
if you can, but it's not big. They are
just handy to feed on when Carnage
does his little freak out thing. When
you knock Carnage's life down by half
he will run again and you have to
Stength Test another door. I don't know
about you, but my fingers were tired.
Carnage will most likely be fully
regenerated by the time your in the
next room. There are some guards in
here to feed on. Follow Carnage and
don't let him get away for long.
 Once you have defeated Carnage
the cut scene starts.
---------------------------------------

SPIDEY
======
Fash back to the events a few minutes ago. Peter is being injected by
Toomes with something. It appears that the microscopic elements of the Venom
suit want to rejoin the original mass. That is the cause of those painful
headaches. That's why benig near venom was killing Spidey, but making Venom
feel good. Imagine what it would be like life your liver was trying to crawl
out of you. That's kind of what's happening.
Toomes has a plan to try and help Venom get what he needs out of Peter's
body. Injecting Peter with some formula has excited all those particles and
drawn them all to the surface. In effect creating a version of Carnage.
Flash back to the events of the past fight. Venom absorbes the Peter/
Carnage, and spits Peter out. Venom is now complete. Control of the suit is
his. Now Venom has the classic white spider logo.
I really like the touch how he doesn't start with the logo, but gets it
when he is completed. The two are also thinking together. They stand both
parts trying to figure out where Trask's office may be.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                         Ch19.The Final Battle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Very luckly for Trask Peter finds his office first. Seems when Trask
found out that Peter parker is Spider-Man he pulled all his files on Richard
Parker, Peter's dad. In this file is everything he would want to know about
what really happened.
Just before Peter can put his hands on it Venom comes bursting in. Trask
runs off with the file. A good bash boots Venom out of the office. Running
after Trask Peter runs into Silver Sable. Peter has nothing to worry about
though. Her contract with Trask is now over. Wishing Peter luck she leaves.
Trask is stuck in a running helicopter, but doesn't know how to fly.
This is when Venom chooses to show up and attack Trask. Trask in a panic
pulls out a machine gun and hits fuel tanks. Now starts the final battle.

---------------------------------------
Boss Fight: Venom (final)

This can be a tough battle. Mainly,
because your window for attack is so
small. You will lose if Venom knocks
the helicopter off the edge. You are
protecting Trask, but mostly that file.
While Venom is bashing into the
helicopter get to him, avoiding the
chopper blades, to put a combo to him.
Now Venom's attention is on you.
Give one strong jump away. Venom will
chase after you. His attacks are now
longer. Like with the last fight
against him wait for your spidey sense
to go off and jump. Try and land near
Venom on his side. Once you land put a
combo to him, but watch out. Venom is
a LOT faster now. Mostly, Venom will
grab you and try and toss you off the
building. If he is facing the right way
he will also throw you right into those
chopper blades.
When Venom's life is down to just
1/4th left the fuel that is on fire
will start to spread. This leaves you
with little room to move around.
Knock Venom's life down and finish
this battle.
---------------------------------------

Start of the cutscene shows Spidey really laying into Venom. Thinking he
has won Spidey stands heroic, but Venom gets back up. One last good upper cut
puts him down, and might of broken Spidey's arm.

Peter sits reading the file from Trask as S.H.I.E.L.D. shows up to clean
things up. Classic timing. In this file Peter learns more about the death of
his parents.
Sitting with Mary Jane at "The Place" Peter trys to find some way to
explain to her what has been happening. He does tell her that he's not sure
why he is scared of Eddie. Is it because he is afraid of him, or for him?
Venom is out there and the two will meet again. Well, Peter does have the
girl.

The End

Pass the credits and now you are free to roam around NYC as either Spidey or
Venom and cause mass destruction. Venom has his own races, but no reward is
earned for completeing these races.

Costume Descriptions:
Spidey Wrestling-
The second Spider-Man costume in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. This
costume was the created for him by the host of UCW SpankDown, because thought
that the costume Peter made, "...look like a dork." Peter used this as the
base of the final Spider-Man costume by adding the spider logo and webbing.

Parker Hoodie-
Seen in the beginning level of the game. In the comics Venom stood
outside waiting for Peter. Peter went out to face this nightmare. Not
having his costume or webshooters, he used the hooded sweat shirt to cover his
face.

Arachnoman-
Hollywood created a Spidey movie but for legal reasons they changed the
costume and the name to Arachnoman.

Peter Parker-
No real surprise but this costume is just Peter in his normal/nerd
clothes.

Symbiote Spider-Man-
Spidey only wore the Venom suit for a few hours in this story. It made
him stronger and faster, but this costume in the game doesn't improve any
skill.

VII.Combat Tours
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
Combat Tours are tours through the city fighting several different gangs.
There are four different type of gangs. Some are easier and others are down
right tough. In the earliest combat tours things are pretty easy. Once the
gang numbers starts to go things get tougher. It gets really hard when they
are all in larger numbers. They really gang up on you and attack from every
angle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a.Spidey's Tour
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Best tip I can give is to not go after huge groups of gangs. Get the
gangs attention so they will chase after you. Wait around a corner and when
when one of them comes around Web Yank and Bash. You can jump away and Web
Yank the guy again, or you can webswing over the gang and Web Yank the member
of the gang that is behind. Keep this up till you have separated the gangs
into small clumps. Go after these small groups bouncing from one to the other.
The gangs all have different skills of fighting and blocking. In this guide I
will list the gangs and their abilities.
Don't be in a rush. You aren't timed on these tours, and there is no
reason to play like you are being timed.

In Combat Tours and City Events your opponents appear with a colored
exclamation point over their head. Hitting them sends the point from green, to
yellow, and then to red. After red the opponent will be knocked down. This
person will have either a web or a red skull. If the Web appears you need to
web him down or he will get back up at full health.

When you start any Combat Tour your life is refilled of damage you may
have taken before, and upon completing the combat tour your life will be
refilled again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finishing Combat Tours can earn you health upgrades. These upgrades can
really come in handy against boss fights where it's really hard to escape any
level of damage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b.Venom Mini-game
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you have beaten the game you can now switch between Venom and
Spider-man at will. While playing as Venom there is a mini-game where you can
cause carnage throughout New York, and no super heros to stop you. You earn
points for the damage you cause, and the game keeps track of your score. This
mini-game goes on until you are finaly taken down. This game is made evem more
difficult to the fact that you are now slowly loosing life and must feed.
The game is started by grabbing any car and giving it a good toss. A thin
red bar will appear just below your life bar. This bar increases as the
mini-game goes on. The further the red goes the high difficulty the enemies
taking you down will become.
Once you are defeated the game will log your high score. I haven't seen
any reward you can achieve by gettign any high score.
The mini-game can be canceled by starting a race challenge, but your
points will be lost. Your point only count if you fight till you are defeated.

Enemies
-------
Some of the points may be off. It was kind of hard to judge the point
per. My math wasn't off, but it was hard to pull off some of these attaks
and get the point total later on with all the secondary explosions
---------------------------------------
|Character                   | Points |
|=====================================|
|Civillians                  | 25     |
|----------------------------|--------|
|Cars                        | 100    |
|----------------------------|--------|
|Cops                        | 50     |
|----------------------------|--------|
|Cop Cars                    | 100    |
|----------------------------|--------|
|S.H.I.E.L.D. Ground Troops  | 100    |
|----------------------------|--------|
|S.H.I.E.L.D. Hummers        | 200    |
|----------------------------|--------|
|S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopters    | 500    |
|----------------------------|--------|
|S.H.I.E.L.D. hover troops   | 175    |
---------------------------------------

When the S.H.I.E.L.D. hover troops show up look directly above you and
you will see S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hovering fortress. No matter where you go it will
stay right above you.

Tips
----
Keep moving and avoid helicopter fire.

Make small jumps instead of running and turn corners.

Civillians reward you with more life then cops or soldiers.

Keep to tight alley ways to avoid helicopter fire.

As of yet I don't know of any reward for getting a high score in Venom's
mini-game.

Once the helicopters and S.H.I.E.L.D. hover troops join the fight avoid
roof tops.

The more powerful Grab Attacks only weaken S.H.I.E.L.D. troops.

Fight where there is an awning. One of my favorites is at the hospital in
Queens. Doing so will make the choppers come in closer.

At one point after the hovering S.H.I.E.L.D. agents showed up civillians
started to dissappear.

If you toss an enemy using the Grab and Throw watch them and you will see them
die in mid-air.

==============================================================================
VIII.Race Challanges
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
Race challenges test your ability to move around the city and help you
improve your travel skills. There are 4 levels of diffuculty in the races, and
there are several medal rankings to earn. Unlike Spider-Man 2 where it was
pretty much pass of fail. Your ranking doesn't effect your rewards. You can
earn all bronze and still get rewards. There are a total of sixty races to
play and get medals.
Medals are also earned in races against Johnny Storm. Finishing Johnny
Storm races also earns you speed upgrades, higher race diffuclties, and
costumes.

Earning race medals are all about practice. If it takes a few trys don't
worry. On some races it took me quite a few times to earn medals. Follow the
arrow and try and work out the fastest way to hit those points. Once you hit
one point it activates the next.

Best tip is to always try and keep moving forward. reduce your up and
down movement to a minimum.

Venom also has his own races once you have beated the games story mode
and you can switch between Venom and Spidey freely. Venom also has some race
points that are unique to him.
Venom's race points are all purple, but have a color glowing arua that
match Spidey's Race Points.
As of yet I don't know of any reward for getting a medal in all the Venom
races.

Good tip in Venom's races is when you're climbing the side of a building
press and hold down the super jump (R2) button and he will leap up the side in
a flash. Be sure to press the cirlce button when you hit the peak of your jump
or you will start to fall.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Race Points
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blue-
In this area you just have to touch the sphere itself to activate the next
location.

Red-
On these points yuo just need to land and stick to this point. Often on the
side of walls. Best way to hit these is wall running. In wall running when
you jump away you can keep momentum.
If this point is under a ledge just hit, stick, and jump off.

Green-
In this area you need to land on your feet. Ussually, on buidling tops, or
poles

Yellow-
On these areas you must hit and then jump off while in the sphere. Often on
walls and billboards. With practice these can get easier.

Spider Disk-
Like with the Green spot you need to land on these floating disks. Once
activated they don't dissappear, but glow red.

Spider Circle-
These floating circles, often at angles, are there for you to pass right
through. You can stand on the solid edges, and web zip works on the edge. The
angle of these often are hints at the location of the next point.

Venom Disk
These Venom disk are like the Spider Disks, but these are pink. You must
land on the top of these to activate. Once activated the pink dulls.

Venom Hover Disk-
Large pink disks that only appear in Venom's races. Like the other floating
disks you must land on the top, but for added difficulty these disks move in
mid-air.

Attack Points-
These race points only appear in Venom's races. You don't need to kill the
target, but just hit them once. I would suggest the tentical whip attack.
These people are often police officers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Storm Races
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Storm can be a very annoying match stick. If you fall behind he
will leave floating fire traps in your path. If you hit these traps you will
fall like a stone.
Most races start at the Baxter building. The very first race starts in
the story mode and starts at Midtown Highschool. To open new Johnny Storm
races you must complete a certian number of race difficulties.
These races are full of only Blue race points.

Race Difficulties
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 55 total of medal races. Ranging in four difficulties and four
types of medals you can earn. Often race difficulty lives up to the name.
Oddly enough if you can perform the Hard and Insane races at all, earning
Ultimate medals aren't too hard. On the Easy races your margin from Gold to
Ultimate is so small you'll often get it by a few 10ths of a second.

Race Diffuculties:

Medium |13
Hard   |14
Insane |15

Venom

Medals:

Ultimate (Gold with a painted Spidey)

Ultimate medals appear on the world map as red circling the race icon.

Acheiving all Ultimate medals get you no special reward, but shows you
are one skilled MoFo with a lot of free time. If you can do it Great Job!

==============================================================================
IX.City Events
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
City Events are random crimes that appear on your right hand map as red
dots. They never appear during a boss fight, chase, or race challenge. Unlike
in Spider-Man 2 only one City Event happens at a time.
Like many other sort of events in the game the difficulty can increase.

Upon completing any City Event you will be rewarded with a Health token
that will refill your health meter if you took any damage recently.

Events
======

Ambulance Breakdown
------------------
This city event is a twist on the
Injured Civilian city event. It would
appear that this ambulance broke down
while transporting an injured person.
Grab this person and then follow the
arrow on the screen to the hospital.
You have a set amount of time to get
the person there.

Armored Car Holdup
------------------
Gangs are often the cause of this
city event. there will be a number of
them, and two guards bound on the side.
Take out the gang, but untying the
guards is not required for success of
this event. If you do untie them they
will help you out shooting at the gang.
Later in the game Boomerang will
also be the cause of these hold ups.

Break-ins
---------
These happen at ground level and
you will hear an alarm go off when you
get close. The cause is either Shocker,
Boomerang, a single random gang member,
or a large number of gang members.

Car Accident
------------
Two cars seemed to have hit each
other and two people are in need of
medical help. Pick up one person and
the arrow will appear showing you the
way to the closest hospital. Normally
the hospital appears as a white dot on
the lower map, but in this event it is
red. Drop the first person off at the
nurse and head back to get the person
you left behind. Pick this person up
and again follow the arrow to the
hospital. You have a set amount of
time to finish this event.

Gang Attack
-----------
This event normally has three gang
members harassing some person on the
street and sometimes roof tops.

Gang Attack+Injury
------------------
Like the Gang Attack city event
three or four gang members have
have attacked someone, but this time
the person is hurt. Take out the gang
and then grab the person. Once you pick
them up you have a set amount of time
to get them to the hospital.

Gang Attack+Mugging
-------------------
    Normally, involving three gang
members that have attacked a person and
taken their bag. Knock the gang out.
The person how took the back will have
a glowing blue marker. Go to this point
and hit the circle button. Take the
bag back to the civilian.

Gang Break-ins
-------------
    This event normally appears on
roof tops, but can also appear on
ground level. Several gang members are
trying to break in somewhere. One will
be picking at the lock and the others
are wondering about.

Gang Wars
---------
Two groups of different gangs are
fighting over turf. Often times when
you get there many gang members are
already prepared to be webbed up or at
least weakened. When you show up they
put their differences aside to go after
you.

Injured Civilians
-----------------
A person is standing alone and
sometimes by a damaged bike, but also
at times will be complaining about
something they ate. They have a (+)
icon above their head. Pick them up
this person and then you have a set
amount of time to get them to a
hospital. the hospital will appear
on your corner map as a white dot.
Drop this person off at the nurse and
this event is done.

People on Ledge
---------------
    A staple from Spider-Man 2 this
event has a person hanging from a
buildings edge, or even sometimes a
flag pole.
You can stand on the ledge and
hit the circle button to pick them up,
drop to the ground, and set them down.
You can also grab the person while
in mid air. Once you are at the person
press the circle button. This trick
also works on people hanging from flag
poles.

People on Ledge with Gangs
--------------------------
This even has a person hanging
from the ledge of a building, and three
gang members on the roof. Seems this
person either owes money, or has done
something to anger the gang. Fighting
the gang isn't necessary to finish this
event. Just saving the person and
bringing them to the ground will finish
this event. The person can hang on long
enough to take out the gang members if
you wish to do that first.

Police Shoot-out
---------------
Two officers and two gang members
are shielding themselves behind two
different cars. Jump in and take out
the gang members.

Police Car Chase
----------------
This is a fast moving event and
can sometimes disappear off the map
depending which direction or how fast
you are moving. This event can also
be spotted by the tall green beacon.
You can take damage while trying to
land on the car if you land even near
the front of the car.
The car can be a two seater
sedan, but mostly an armored hummer.
Once on the roof or hood of the
car use the left analog stick to avoid
gun fire. Timing in this action can be
very trick. Mostly you're going to get
shot and knocked off. Just recover and
get back on the car.
When enough damage has been caused
the car will break down. The gang will
now get out of the car to come after
you. The number can range from two to
four. Web the gang up. This car is
about to blow and the explosion will
either knock out, kill, or weaken the
gang members if they are close enough
to the explosion.

Police Chase
------------
This is always one cop chasing
after one thug. the thug is an easy
take down.

Reckless Driver
---------------
Like with the Police Car Chase
city event. This event can be spotted
by the tall green beacon. Now when you
land on the car just bash away with no
worries about being shot at.

X. Token Guide
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
These are simple shopping list like directions. This is also not the
most efficient guide to the tokens. Often times there is another token a block
from the one you find, but I wanted each tokens location to be independent,
There will be a lot of back and forth in this guide. You will really be going
back and forth with the Comic Cover Tokens. I think some of those covers were
placed where the events in the comics took place.
I didn't want these directions to be too wordy. I tried to keep them
simple, but with enough detail. I find if you use directions written in
paragraph form it is very easy to loose your place and get lost.

I hope you all appreciate this guide. In the process of making it I made
a new profile so I could double check it. In this process I accidentally saved
over my original profile. I had even gotten the black suit. No worries though.
I played again and I got everything. Only thing I really lost was some of my
high rankings in the races, but I did it once. I can again.
Tokens can be found as either Spider-Man or venom.

Starting Points
================
Each direction has a "Starting Point". The starting points are based off
landmarks. At each starting point you should be facing North, unless stated
otherwise. Almost all the land marks are based from land mark token locations.
Only 3 are not. Those are Harlem sign, Empire State building, and Kraven
Institute Oceanic Studies.

Following Turns
================
In directions you are asked to go in a certain direction [ie.Right(E)] and
follow until the road turns. Example:

Secret Token 019
================
Starting Point- HARLEM sign
    -Travel Right(E)
    -Follow to Right(S) turn <------------
    -Pass intersection
    -Up(SE) "Midtown" Hwy
*Under Midtown Hwy as it levels off East side

This means that you should stay on the stated road and pass all intersections
until you have no choice, but to turn with the road.

Stars (*)
==========
The stars(*) at the bottom of each direction is the final location of the
secret token. Everything before is a step by step list of 'Starting Point' to
the token.

Building Descriptions
======================
I used building descriptions to help you locate the tokens. Rather then just
say, "building to the left". This should help you know if your in the right
place. The descriptions go:

Direction: (ie. Left(W)) Name: (If a building has sign) Color: (ie. tan brick)

Token Totals

XI.Easter Eggs
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
Easter Eggs are normally defined as some item or event that has been
placed in the game. They are usually not easy to find.
I've heard complaints that Spider-Man 2: The Game had more detail then
the world in this game. Just read through this Easter Egg guide and you'll see
the level of detail in this world. Seems while I'm looking for ones I know of
I'll find something new.

XII. FAQs
==============================================================================
==============================================================================

Q. I'm only missing two secret tokens how do I know which one I need?
- Only thing I can tell you is to just go down the list till you find the
ones you are missing. I don't know which you are missing.

Q. Where is the Kraven Institute Oceanic Studies?
- Stand at the front of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. Travel north and
turn left(W), turn right(N), stop half way up this street, and look left(W).
It's this building with all the fancy domes and glass. It's an aquarium. The
name is on the front.

Q. Does the symbiote costume give you any more powers or abilities?
- Nope. Sorry to say nothing is gained from this costume, but it looks cool.

Q. How do I find the next point in this race.
- First you can follow the arrow on the screen, and the next point also
appears on your lower right hand map.

Q. Now that venom has the spider logo why can't he shoot webbing?
- Not being Brian Michael Bendis, or knowing what he had planned I can only
guess. I have a theory. When Peter had the suit it created black webbing
without the need ot web shooters by will alone. Peter knew about the workings
of his webshooters and what they fire out. Eddie might not be able to do it,
because he doesn't know about web shooters. The Venom suit only enhances one's
own abilities, and Spidey can't shoot webbing himself.
I think what Eddie needed to be complete was a sample of Parker DNA. He
probably absorbed the remains of the suit that were left in Peter's blood, the
DNA he needed, and spat the rest out.
