Game Info
OK, welcome to Musashi: Samurai Legend, or Samurai Legend Musashi however
you want to say it.  This game is similar to "Brave Fencer Musashi" for the
PSX game system also by Square-Enix.
You play as Musashi, a Samurai teleported to this land to save it from the
brink of destruction.  Musashi uses a katana and BroadSwords.
Musashi can gain enemy abilities and use them too.
This is considered a Platform RPG, sorta like Kingdom Hearts.

       Controls
Directional pad - don't use it
Left Analog stick - Control Musashi's lateral movement
Right Analog Stick - Control the Camera, push down to look straight from
Musashi's back (so you see directly straight forward)
X button - Jump, confirm, activate switch/lever, talk to ppl
Sq (Square) button - attack w/ Katana (quick)
Tr (Triangle) button - attack w/ BroadSword (slow)
O button - Use special attack/ability, Cancel
L1 button - Defend
R1 button - Lock on & Charge Focus gauge

       Stats/Level Up System
               Stats
HP - Hit points - Life Energy, if 0 you died
MP - Magic points - Magic Energy, if 0 can't cast magic/use special abilities
Str - Strength - Raw Power, the higher this is the faster you kick butt
Def - Defense - Raw Protection, the higher this is you take less damage
Foc - Focus - Concentration, this controls max concentration and how fast you
get to full concentration
Luk - Luck - Luck, Increases chances for dealing higher than normal damage

To level up you defeat the bad guys to gain Exp points, after so many
you level up, simple enough.  However when you level up, you choose what to
do with that levels stat points, You have the choice of what stat/main point
to distribute your points into.  Choices are
A. Even distribution - duh
B. Offense - prioritizes Str & MP
C. Defense - prioritizes Def & HP
D. Duplicating - prioritizes Foc & MP
E. Choose any single stat

       Other Info
Musashi's Item capacity is 50 items, period, not 50 types of items, 50 ITEMS.
Musashi's Currency capacity is 100,000 so if you get more than this, it's
worthless.

       Section III (walk-xyz)
               Walkthrough
Being a walkthrough this will have spoilers that reveal the story line if you
read ahead of where you are.

       Prologue - part A (walk-pro1)
If Starting from a Clear Game Save skip to part B

You start a new game, you watch the cinema. you start playing in the
Wellspring Woods, go forward and talk to Mew (the cat), he tells how to do
some things, after he disappears, go left towards the glowing blue ball.
Mew appears and tells you how to lock on and attack, kill the Ninjaroid.
Keep going to the blue ball.  Mew appears and tells you how to defend, kill
Ninjaroids until level up.  Mew tells you about leveling up.  follow the
directions Mew gives and spend your level up.  Notice the large increase.
This means the first few levels are the hardest because the increase gained
from each level is a significant improvement from the previous and the
monsters start out tough for such low stats.  After the spending your level
up go up and talk to Mew across the stream (flowers just appeared). He tells
you about ledges, climb the ledge.  Continue along this path until the next
map section.  Keep going until you find Mew, and talk to him. He tells you
about carrying (you will have to carry a lot of girls).  Say you understand
and pick him up, and follow the onscreen commands (attacking, tossing and
slashing, dropping).  Pick Mew back up, and carry him, go east (see the
minimap in the bottom right corner). Follow the path along, jump over the log
and fight the enemy with Mew in hand (good practice for later). After you
killed the enemy place Mew into the glowing green circle, pick up the Great
Oar, (BroadSword weapon #1).  Follow Mew's onscreen commands, Using L2+Tri
you perfrom the Maelstrom.  The Maelstrom consumes 50 MP but it has one huge
area of effect and extremely large damage.  Talk to Mew, he tells you about
duplication.  Holding R1 down on the Ninjaroid fill up your focus gauge and
learn the Chain Attack by getting attacked and pressing Sq when the ! appears,
pressing Sq 5 times when prompted.  Afterwards Mew leaves permanently. Break
the blue capsule with a GreatSword slash (Tri).  Out pops a town inhabitant.
She tells you why she was there. Go straight to the next map section.
Kill the two Ninjaroids.  Charge and fill up the focus gauge and learn the
Three-Sixty from the metal robot (hereon Galvabot), get behind him for better
chances.  Then kill the other two Galvabots.  Get the chests and get on the
motorcycle.  **Note: now that the Three Sixty is learned, you can finish
the chain attack with it by rotating the left analog stick around shortly
before executing the fifth attack.**
       END Prologue - part A

       Prologue - part B (walk-pro2)
If you are starting from a Clear Game Save, talk to Mew.  Afterwards, go free
Moderna, then continue on to the next screen, here learn the Chain Attack and
Three Sixty from a Ninjaroid and Galvabot respectively, kill everything, get
the chests. Afterwards get on the motorcycle.

Welcome to "Bike Slasher Musashi"
Here you defeat enemies on a bike, however there is no experience point gain
only a money bonus amount based on defeating enemies.  For those that played
FFVII, this should be very familiar.  It's always the same everytime you play.
some general rules are, stay on the center line things focus around it mostly.
you are moving and so is the enemy, timing the slash is the key.
When you start, crash through the guard rails, then defeat the oncoming Ninja
Riders.  After crashing through more guard rails, you come up against
Guardbots, kill them if you can, after them is Galvabots, kill them if you can
After them, more Ninja Riders come some jumping over you then coming behind you
kill them all.  After killing the two that come from behind get on the center
line and get a charge attack ready.  Here comes the miniboss.
+-----------------------------------+
    MiniBoss Red Ninja Rider
+-----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Bomb Toss (3 bombs always)
2. Slash
+-----------------------------------+
Tactics against the Red Ninja Rider, when he's anywhere but beside you
have a charged attack ready for when he gets close enough to slash.  When he's
ahead of you going left and right, head to one side of the tunnel.  Then when
he starts tossing bombs start going to the other side slowly.  What I mean by
slowly is to go halfway after the first bomb is tossed then the rest when he
tosses the third and final bomb.  When he's coming your way give him the
charged slash and keep slashing until he slashes at you, block this, then keep
slashing.  Keep this up and he will be gone in about 3 rounds of this.
+------------+
END MiniBoss
+------------+
Ok now you had your fun on bike, back to foot. grab up the chest to the right
of you and step into the checkpoint.  Checkpoints are spawn points if you die.
Go break the blue capsule. Then continue on to the next map screen.
+----------------------------------+
         Nebulium Tower
+----------------------------------+
Welcome to Nebulium Tower and surroundings, one of the factories the bad
people use.  Make your way to the tower defeating all the Ninjaroids and
Galvabots on the way (there's a good number of them). Once inside go left and
kill all enemies along the way.  When you get to it, break the blue orb.
after go up the elevator (it moves on its own).  Kill the Ninjaroid in front
of you, then go right and get the chest.  **Note about Magic Alloy Magic
alloy is used to temper your katana, every time its an extra +5 to the
katana's strength.** After getting the chest go the other way, defeating
enemies along the way, when you get to a room go into it.  Break the
device to the right of the tube and free the Princess.  Goodie, now you
have to carry the princess along.  Make your way back to the elevator.
Go up it (it moves on its own).
+----------------------------------+
        Boss Vapor Bot
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Spinning Spiked Claws
2a. Spiked Claw Shot
2b. Hand Cannon Barrage
3. Rollerball
4. Gravity Drop
+----------------------------------+
Congratulations Musashi not only did you lose the Princess you gotta fight
this tin bucket too.  The Vapor always attacks in the order posted. He is
only able to be damaged after the Gravity Drop and while hes recovering his
claws from the Spiked Claw Shot.  However, he can only be hurt when his gears
are fully exposed.  When hes doing the Spinning Spiked Claws, run.  Dodge the
Spike Claw Shot when he does it then beat him down as he goes and gets it back
During the Hand Cannon Barrage don've move, it doesnt hit straight in front of
him.  During the Rollerball, just run around and dodge his one charge.  After
the Rollerball, he will chase you in the sky and try and pound you, just keep
running around and when he drops go back and wait for him to expose his gears
and beat him down.  I found the best method to actually hurt him is repeated
Three Sixties, these babies do lots of damage and are decently quick too.
After about 2 or 3 rounds you should be able to take him down.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
After you are done talking to Mew, then you go to Antheum with Mew.
Rest and Save (this is the ONLY save point in the game)
       END Prologue - Part B

               Section III-1 (walk-chp1)
Chapter I (Of Swords and Maidens)
There will be a cinema with the king and queen, they lay down whats going on.
After you are free to roam the city.  pressing R2 brings up a mini map of town.
There are 3 floors to it, head to the 2nd floor to the Appraiser, get your
stuff with the "?" Icon appraised. After go to the Bakery on the 1st floor.
Learn about Burrini, accept the mission.  While here grab some FREE burnt
biscuits, they heal 5 HP, but they're free, and your item capacity is 50 items
by the way. Head over to Banon's office and go to Wellspring Woods, it should
look familiar.
+----------------------------------+
        Wellspring Woods
+----------------------------------+
Now with the Eagle Goggles you know have among the appraised items, you can
see the enemies HP guage when you target an enemy, very helpful.
From here on out, enemies are assumed, fight them along the way.
Go around the lake and cross the stream by the flowers in it.  Then go to the
nearby ledge, go up it and continue on to the next map screen.  Break open
the blue orb, continue along the path, learn Sonic Strike from the Ripper Bat.
Keep along the path until you find Burrini in a pinch.  Save her.  Pick her up
Head back the way you came back to the first map screen.  when you get back to
the lake head left.  Go along the path that leaves the lake area, drop Burrini
and break the blue orb, pick Burrini back up and go to the next map screen.
This place isn't called MangleWood for nothing.  Follow Burrini's directions
that she gives when in the center of the current section (they change each
game).  When you get to the end you see the big sealing urn, get on top of
it by climing the ledges on the front.
+----------------------------------+
         Boss Gorpus
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1a. Fire Snip
1b. Fire Charge
2. Fire Ball Barrage (3 to 5)
+----------------------------------+
Here's the big scorpion Gorpus, he's decently easy.  Ok he likes to use his
Fire Snip attack which he does twice, then jumps, then does the Fire Ball
Barrage.  The jump does damage if directly underneath.  The target is the
Eyeball, which is under the helmet/jaw.  After doing the Fire Snip there is
a slight delay before he jumps you can slash him up a bit then, and also
after the Fire Ball Barrage he breaks down and his extremely vulnerable during
this time.  After hitting the eyeball he adds 1 more Fire Ball to the Barrage.
After killing the eyeball 3 times, he dies.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Congratulations, you know have the Sword of Earth. You are now back in town.
Rest and Save. Head over to Tunnbrod's and talk to Burrini, she tells you
about the rite of transfer. Head up to the 3rd floor to the Chief's.
Take the teleport.  Watch the rite of transfer.  You find yourself at Banon's
he tells you about the World Map.  Watch the Gandrake Personel Meeting.
       END Chapter 1.

               Section III-2
       Chapter 2 (walk-chp2)
Chapter 2 rundown is recovering the Water Maiden, Fontina, and earning her
trust to hand over the Sword of Water.

               Section III-2-A
Chapter 2: Broken Glasses - Part A (walk-chp2-a)
Save again.  Head over to Banon. Accept Operation rescue Fontina.
Head over to the Bakery and get some healing items, you will more than likely
need them.  After head back to Banon then head over to Roquefort Mine on the
World Map, Go in.
+----------------------------------+
         Roquefort Mine
+----------------------------------+
Welcome to Roquefort Mine.  Take the path before you for a while, until you
come across some buttons on the ground near the red tubes.  There are 3
buttons, get on each one and use Tremor Thrust on it (L2+Tri). Collect the
booty in each of the now 3 open containers.  Continue along the path until
you hit the end of the metal way.  Get near the cracked rock and Tremor
Thrust it, get the booty inside.  Equip the hard hat if you have no other
equipment.  Go back and drop off the side of the metal way.  Learn the Angry
Hornet off a Ninja Driller.  Get the chest underneath the metal way. Continue
along the path destroying the containers along the way.  Smack the button
near the elevator to activate it.  Drop down into the lowest pit.  Get the
chest, then go back up.  Then go up the ladder you passed before.  Break
the capsule.  Mug is free, go and take the portal back to town.  Go to the
new Blacksmith, tell Mug to temper your piece.  Rest and Save.  Go back to
the mine.  Take the elevator down, then go up the ladder.  Take the rail
to where the yellow caution marks are.  This is a wee tricky, have Musashi
right before where the yellow marks begin, now drop off and head to the center
if you made it, Tremor Thrust the button, if not keep trying.  Take the ladder
back up to the rail, get on the now rotating rail. Jump on to the section of
rail you couldn't get to previously and on to the next map section. Inside
take the ladder up to the higher level. Take this path, WATCH for steam.
jump up to the next section and learn Paralyzing Palm from the Voltrabot.
Hop up to the next section.  Dodging steam take the ladder up to the next
level.  Tremor Thrust the button.  head back down, open the chest, break
the capsule.  Smash the button.  Drop down, and go into the now open room.
Break the stuff on the sides.  Take the elevator.
+----------------------------------+
        Boss Drill Golem
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Drill Pinch
2. Fire Breath
+----------------------------------+
Ok meet the Drill Golem.  He's a drill monster.  This guy is not hard, but
annoying because he deals a decent amount of damage if you get hit.  He does
also have a decently large amount of HP too.  However, unlike the other bosses
so far, he can always be hurt.  So just dodge his attacks, hes pretty
vulnerable to a smacking while turning around or while he's Fire Breathing in
another direction.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Run through the checkpoint and break the stuff. Take the path along until you
reach the large room, clear it out.  Then learn Twin Turbin from a Ninja
Miner that spawns. Continue along the path until the next map section.
Continue along taking the elevator down. Hop in the jet craft.

Welcome to "Flying Machine Rampage"
This is alot like bumper cars, except your in a jet craft in a tunnel. Anyways
the goal is to kill stuff, except theres only two types, stationary and moving
stationary stuff all you have to do is run into it to break, for moving
targets you need to give em a jolt into the wall to break them.
Money and Imagicards are prizes.

After having some fun, your back on foot, go through the check point and grab
the chest to the left. Head up the elevator and continue along to the next map
section. Take the path along to the next map section.  Break all 6 tubes and
free Fontina.  With Fontina in hand, head back the way you came.
+----------------------------------+
       Boss Drill Golem II
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Missile Barrage
2. Drill Rampage
3. Drill Slash & Grab
4. Drill Seeker
+----------------------------------+
Ok this guy is more annoying than the first, this guy attacks more often, and
they still hurt as much, and he leaves less room open for attacking.
Missile Barrage is the easiest to prevent, dont get too far away (you
shouldnt be either or else you won't get attacks in).  Drill Rampage and
Drill Slash & Grab are both preventable by getting away when he starts to
respond to your poundings/presence and for Rampage keep running for a while.
Drill Seeker, just keep running around until he stops then Tremor Thrust
nearby to make him surface.  After a good bit of this and maybe a few deaths/
healing items later he's dead.  Good Riddance.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Afterwards your back at Antheum.  Go after Fontina to the 3rd floor Archives.
Good grief, now you gotta fix her glasses, what are you an errand boy? yep.
END Chapter 2: Broken Glasses (Part A)

               Section III-2-B
Chapter 2: A Lazulnut for Fontina - Part B (walk-chp2-b)
Go rest and save, you deserve it, then go and stock up on items if necessary.
After your done in town, go to Banon's and go back to Wellspring Woods.
+----------------------------------+
       Wellspring Woods 2
+----------------------------------+
Now you're back at Wellspring Woods, take the path around the lake, crossing
the river and climb the ledge.  Continue along to the next map section.
Continue along until you pass the tree, learn Banishing Blade from a new
Ninjaroid.  Then continue along further until you get to the big boulder with
the crack.  Tremor Thrust here.  Then continue along breaking the capsule,
then on to the next map section.  Go left and up, and open the two chests,
then turn and go back the other way, crossing the river.  Get the chest in
the corner, then go up the cliff via the sequence of small jumps.  Once up
take the right path and break the capsule.  Go back the other way, making your
way across the stream again, and then grab the chest, then jump onto the tree
base. Oonce on go right and pick up the glowing nut. Here's your nut. However,
you have to carry it to the teleport, you may notice the teleport behind the
capsule on the other side of the tree, but you can't make the jump, so don't
try. Make your way back to the teleport to Antheum, with the nut in hands.
Now back in Antheum, go to the Blacksmith, Choose talk, he'll fix the glasses.
Now go to the 2nd floor Apraiser and get your booty appraised, You now have
the dragonfly belt, allowing double jumps.  Now you can go to the 3rd floor
Archives and hand over the glasses.  Afterwards, go talk to the bratty Fontina
over by the broken 3rd floor area.  She's got some emotional problems, but
anyway she tells you how to get the Sword of Water, go rest and save.
END Chapter 2: A Lazulnut for Fontina - Part B

               Section III-2-C
Chapter 2: Secrets Deep Underground - Part C (walk-chp2-c)
Ok remember that capsule you couldn't get to before, go and break it now,
using double jump to get from the tree base to the first flower, use the
above guide if you forgot how to get there.  After freeing Geldbrenner,
go back to town.  having unlocked Geldbrenner, you can now invent stuff.
check the invention section for more details.**Coming Soon**.  Ok now, rest
and save, and go over to Banon's and go to Roquefort Mine.
+----------------------------------+
        Roquefort Mine 2
+----------------------------------+
And so we're back, Take the elevator to the lower level. Then take the ladder
up to the rail, then drop down and mash that button and get the rail rotating.
Then go back up, and go to rail only reachable by this rotating rail. Go up to
the gate and hit X. Get hit by the train. Go through here and get to the
elevator, take it. Take the path along to the big room where you fought the
Drill Golem.  Double jump to the north ledge and continue along.  At the end
grab the booty and break the capsule.  Head back to the large room, now take
the east path.  Continue along, going to the next map section.  Learn Infernal
Strike off the Sumoroid. Walk through the fans continuing along.  When you get
to the 3-way split, take the west path first. At the end, push down the
switch.  Go back and take the east path now that the fan has slowed a lot.
Keep going until you get to the 4-way split. Grab the chest then break the
rock in the way of the south path, then take the south path.  break the
capsule then get the bounty at the end. Go back to the 4-way split and take
the east path.  Go to the end, break the capsule and smash down the button.
Now go back and take the north path.  Keep going, and when you reach the 3-way
split break the rock blocking the south path and take it.  At the end, grab
the chests, head back to the 3-way split and take the north path.  Keep on
going on to the next map section. take the path up to the statue and Tremor
Thrust right here.
+----------------------------------+
       Boss Scarlet Kraken
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Tentacle Pierce
2. Acid Shot
3. Jump & Smash
4. Grip & Squeeze
5. Water Sweep
+----------------------------------+
Now you have to beat up this giant Octopus, He's not friendly but he's not
exactly all that hard either.  He only does the Tentacle Pierce when you're
far off. He does the Acid Shot every so often, which leave acid spots on the
ground which hurt you when walked on.  He does the Jump & Smash when you're
up close and personal whacking away at him, when he screams and flings back,
get away. He does the Grip & Squeeze every once in a while.  When he starts
rotating to one side, go to the oppositte side, he's going to sweep the field
with his Water Sweep. Ok, the target is the blue orb thingy that he spits out
when his tentacles are damaged a good bit. Once he gets real low, he turns
blue, Then his tentacle pierce has more attacks to it. Otherwise, he's not
too bad, after a few rounds, he should be gone.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
When you finish, you grab the Water Sword, and then you end up back in
Antheum, go rest and save. Go and get your stuff appraised and sell it. Now
that you freed Golovnin, the arena is now open, you can fight battles for
items and then money. Whether you fight some arena battles or not, go to the
chamber of rites. Finally Fontina trusts you, (TOOK LONG ENOUGH). Watch the
Gandrake Board Meeting.
       END Chapter 2 - Part C

               Section III-3
       Chapter 3 (walk-chp3)
Chapter 3 rundown is to recover the Twin Maidens of Fire, and help them out
to get them to hand over the Sword of Fire.

               Section III-3-A
Chapter 3: Truant Twins - Part A (walk-chp3-a)
When you start, save if you want, then go to Mew's 3rd floor Dojo, and learn
Counterattack from him, one of the most useful abilities in the game. After
Mew, go to the 3rd floor Academy, Accept operation find the Twins. If you
haven't already go and get Fontina's Armlet from the Arena. Stock up on items.
Then go to Banon's and hop over to Mount Terroir.
+----------------------------------+
         Mount Terroir
+----------------------------------+
Here have the Water Sword and Fontina's Armlet equiped. Here there are lots of
places where fire shoots out of the ground, most can be avoided but some must
be put out. Go forward until you reach the wall of fire. look at but don't
target the middle pillar, then hydro blast. Learn Double Cross off of the
Ninjaroid. go right and hyrdo blast the fire in the way of the chest. grab the
chest and head back the other way, jumping across the lava to the other side.
Learn Whirling Dervish off of the Galvabot. Jump up to the next ledge, then
jump across the lava to the next rock. Jump to the lower rock on the north east
side and jump back, then jump to the rock on the north west side. Continue
along here dodging the steam, jumping when necessary. Go to the east side of
the rock you're on and jump to the lower rock below across the lava. Put out
the fire in the way and go up via sequence of jumps, watch out for steam
though. Now jump across the gap northeast of you to the next rock. On to the
next map section. take the path before you which goes up and circles right.
jump across the span and continue along the path. Hydro Blast the fire and
use the pillar to jump up to the next rock, go right and then drop to the rock
directly below. Go south then east, then climb up at the end. go west and
Tremor Thrust the boulder that blocks the lava. Jump across the gap and grab
the chest. Then drop to the path directly below. Going north until the lava
flow then jumping eastward and into the cave. Grab the chest then jump back
and then jump over the lava flow and put out the fire pillar. Using the new
rock pillar jump up and circle around the lave, jumping when necessary. When
the path splits off go right to the chest and grab it.  Here's the fire
blanket, which is quite decent equipment, you can use it now and periodically
switch back to Fontina's Armlet when you need to use Hyrdo blast or you can
wait until later. Go back in the other direction and use the small rock
surfaces in the lava and head to the capsule. Break the capsule then go back
and take the other route of small rock surfaces, jumping up to the rock. Then
continue to the next map section. Take the path that circles around and grab
the chest at the end. Now go back and jump across the lava flow. Make note of
the purple barrier, we'll be coming back later to go through that. Continue
along the path which scales beside the lava fall. Jump onto the first rock,
then wait for a FLAT rock to float in front of you then jump on it, then jump
across the rest of the rocks. Continue scaling beside the lava fall, and
jump to the first rock. This is a little more tricky than the last crossing.
This time you have to wait for the rock to flow down the side of the lava to
jump on to continue across. Do so now then hurriedly continue across the rest.
Scale beside the lava flow, then get to the edge of the lava. Wait for a flat
rock and then use it to jump across the flow. Walk upstream beside the lava.
Now wait for two flat rocks. Use the first to jump to the second then wait
on the second for few seconds, coming across some rock, jump on it. Go up
and circle around grabbing the chest then go into the cave to the next map
section. In the cave take the path until it splits then go right to break
some stuff then go back and take the other path. Walk to the edge of the lava
on the left side near the rock pillar, then Tremor Thrust to have it fall. Use
the pillar to go to the next rock surface and Tremor Thrust the pillar there.
At the path split go right. Keep going and go right at the tiny split and grab
the chests and break the capsule. Then go back to the first split after
breaking the pillars and go the other way. When you reach the spot that shows
as lava on the mini map, keep jumping to make your way across, never stay on
the ground in this part for longer than it takes to jump again. Continue along
the path and drop down. Get on the rock thats floating on the lava thats
farther south and put out the fire on the other one. Use that rock pillar to
go West. Grab the chest then head back, this time get on the rock more west
and hydro blast the rock more south. Use the rock pillar to take the south
path. Run through the checkpoint and go on to the next map section. You can
now remove Fontina's Armlet and put on the Fire Blanket now. Break the
capsule, then take the path before you. Learn Zanshin from the Magma Drone.
Pick up the stone and carry it to the nearby ledge, use it to jump up to the
ledge. Now you come across the Oddballs, these things suck, because if you
face them they run away and if your back is to them they attack you. Clear
these guys out and continue along the path. When you come across to a split
turn left and notice whats there, an extremely tall ledge, you can't jump this
yet not even with some rocks. Continue along the path. When you come across two
rocks pick one up, and carry it across the lava flow putting it in front of the
ledge after crossing. Use it to go up the ledge and continue along. Pick up the
rock in front of the lava flow and carry it across. Continue along and drop it
in front of the ledge and use it to climb up the ledge. Keep going and enter
the next map section. FINALLY the final map section. This place is one really
big circle go around the WHOLE thing in a Counterclockwise direction and pick
up the chest when you come across it. After clearing the place out go to the
containment machine. Musashi is apparently a hunk getting hit on by such a
young chick. Anyways clear the place out before leaving with Mirabo on the
teleport. Hopefully Mirabo has learned her lesson now. Go and get that item
they gave you appraised. You can now scale certain flat walls. Go get your
katana tempered by Mug, then go rest and save. Remember that Onigiri girl you
saved? Well she sells food similar to the bakery but at a little cheaper
prices. Go talk to Mirabo back in the Academy. Accept operation rescue Maribo.

               Section III-3-B
Chapter 3: Truant Twins II - Part B (walk-chp3-b)
Ok if you haven't already stock on a few items, we're headed back to Nebulium
Tower. So go to Banon's and go to Wellspring Woods. Once there take lefts,
and onto the next map section. get on the bike, go through "Bike Slasher
Musashi" and go through the checkpoint and then to the next map section.
+----------------------------------+
        Nebulium Tower 2
+----------------------------------+
And so we're back, getting up to the tower hasn't changed, so just plow
through the enemies to get there. On the way, however, learn Diving Falcon
from the Green Ninjaroid. Once inside go right, jump over the large pipe grab
the chest in the room. Continue along jumping over another pipe, when you get
to a ladder, take it down. Go clockwise, and take the ladder down when you get
to it. Go clockwise and jump across the water and grab the chest. Jump back
and go counterclockwise and grab the chest at the end, then go back to the
split and go clockwise. At the end get on the glass wall and start climbing.
When the path splits keep going up and follow it, you will come off the glass,
go to the end of the short walkway and get on the glass. When the path splits,
go up and follow it until you get off the glass, then jump across the gap and
get on the glass. At the path split go up and follow it until you get off the
glass. Go inside the door next to you. break the equipment right of the tube.
Congratulations! you got Maribo. WHAT the princess is here also? Well time for
a double rescue. Pick up Maribo and go outside of the room. Go in a clockwise
direction. Break the capsule and get on the elevator. Take the elevator to B2F
then go to the door that wouldn't open before by the chest you had to jump to
get to. It opens now, go inside put Maribo down and break the tube control
device. Cool, it's the princess, that makes twice, she really owes you now.
Now you're back in Antheum. OOH, they are kinda arguing about who gets
Musashi, what a player. OK, now you're free to move around again, remember
the guy you saved? he sells most of the Imagicards, plus he's a reporter.
Remember the key item "Galvabot kit" you picked up? Give it to Golovnin and
get a new Arena match.
Go to the 3rd floor academy and talk to Maribo and Mirabo, they ask a favor
of you. Accept it.

               Section III-3-C
Chapter 3: Volcanic Temper - Part C(walk-chp3-c)
Ok, stock up on items, this is another long dungeon. Head to Banon's when
ready and ship off to Mount Terroir.
+----------------------------------+
        Mount Terroir 2
+----------------------------------+
We're BAACCK. Remember that slope we couldn't get up before? We're going
there first, then back tracking to where we're actually supposed to go. If
you remember the way good, but if you don't I'll go through it again. Take
the path before and put out the flame wall when you get to it. Go forward
and jump to rock to the west. Use it to jump the higher platform and jump
east across the lava. Use that platform to jump northwest, go to the end
of that platform to jump to the platform below you to the east. Go up that
platform and jump across the gap to the north. Go to the next map section.
Take the path as it circles clockwise, then jump across the gap. Put out the
flame pillar, use the rock to jump up to the next ledge. Take the path that
going north, then east. Go southeast across the small rock surfaces through
the lava and take the north path when it splits to the next map section. Take
the path that circles counterclockwise then head north across the lava when it
splits. Go past the cave NOT in it. Scale/cross the lava fall a total of four
times using the floating rocks. Then go to the next map section. At both path
splits go north. When you get to the part with the falling path, keep jumping
to make your way across. When you get to the two rocks on fire, get on the one
more west and hydro blast the other one. Then use it to go south and go
through the checkpoint to the next map section. Go along this path picking up
a small stone and using it to get up the next ledge. Then when you get to the
slop climb up it and grab the chests. DO NOT take the teleport unless you want
to go back through all of what you went through to get here. Backtracking will
take less time. Start back tracking, unless you really wanna take the teleport.
Go back to the previous map section, then go north, east, west, west to the
previous map section. Get on a rock that's not gonna sink (study it for a
while, or take a guess) and cruise on it down the lava flow to where you
crossed the first time and jump off. Jump down to the bottom, NOW go in the
cave to the next map section. At the first split go north. At the split with
floating rocks take the east direction, by getting on the north rock and hyrdo
blasting the east rock. At the end get the chests then go back and take the
north path then go west. Go back and take the east path scaling the wall. Keep
jumping across the falling rocks to avoid falling in. At the next split take
the south path. At the next split go north get the chest then head back and go
west to the next map section. Now you can get that chest that has been
bothering you by hydro blasting the rocks. Get the chest and head back the way
you came, scaling the wall then heading east at the split. Break the capsule,
go through the checkpoint then to the next map section. Ok this part is a
little tricky because there's falling lava bombs. Also keep your magic
consumption to a minimum starting now. Take the path before you and jump across
the lava as necessary. When you get to the three file pillars hydro blast them
in order of increasing height. Then use the rock pillars to go up to the next
platform. Keep going, jump across the lava flow when you get to it. Grab the
chest on the side of the path. Keep going along this path and reach the next
map section. This section is interesting as well with lava jumping out from
the lava to lava elsewhere. Jump to the platform to the north. take this
platform and take a slight detour west to the chest then continue along. Take
a detour jumping to the platform to the north and break the capsule then jump
back. Continue east, jumping across the lava flow to the next map section.
Break the stuff on the sides and continue along the path.

+----------------------------------+
Have Fontina's Armlet and the Sword of Water equipped for this fight. This
guy is pure lava, so the object is to solidify him with the hydro blast.
When he does the Lava Ball Barrage, run around. When he does the Fire Tornado
They go in straight lines diagonal from him (they make an X), dodge the first
but don't keep running or you'll run into the second. When he gets ready to do
Sweep run directly away from him or he'll clean you off the surface. When he
does Smackdown, stay a little ways from him. When his hands are on the ground,
hyrdo blast one of them and climb up on the rock hand, then target his head and
keep hyrdo blasting as long as possible, but watch out for his Heat Breath
which he does at this time. After he breaks off his rock hand he'll head into
the lava and lay down a lava shower, a bunch of simultaneous lava bombs you
came across before, do your best to stay out of the way of all the lava.
After a few hydro blasts to the head, he will die.

       Chapter 4 (walk-chp4)
Chapter 4 rundown is to get some yellow Angry Angler to make some Hellstew
out of it for pepper and to help out the Maiden of Wind, to get her to hand
over the Sword of Wind.

               Section III-4-A
Chapter 4: Fillet of the Angry Angler - Part A (walk-chp4-a)
Stock up on some items and hit the arena if you want to, when you're done,
head over to 1st floor Pepper's Grill. Accept to go get an Angry Angler. Learn
the ability Fish Fillet from her (you gotta kill it with this). When you're
ready, head off to Picodon Jungle
+----------------------------------+
         Picodon Jungle
+----------------------------------+
Go up to the split in the path, you meet a mysterious girl. If you try and
take the left path, you see a very large lake with a chest on a protruding log
We come back and go that way later. So take the north path, learn Shooting
Star from the Shadow Bean. If you can go ahead an learn Juggle from the
Juggleranium, however this takes a really high focus stat. Either way, break
the capsule on the log, then continue along the path. Learn Karmic Circle from
a Ninja Trooper. Use the logs to climb up the waterfalls, then go into the cave
to the next map section. Walking farther in the game show you some posts, some
unlit and some lit. This is showing that the bugs take paths from light to
light, so you have to light the unlit posts to get the bugs to come to ride
them. Climb up the center rock structure and light the post on the top with
Pyro Blast. Ride the bug up higher. Instead of going to the next map section
climb up and light the post at the end of the path. Ride the bug across the
gap and break the capsule. Ride the bug back across and now go to the next
map section. Now we're in the big forest-like area, theres lots of the shadow
beans here, and they like to creep up and use shooting star on you, which is
not enjoyable. Notice the trees with brown on them? The brown marks signify
scalable wall. Get the chest in the north east corner. Then go to the north
west corner. Pyro blast the pile of leaves and pick up the money (all of them
will be like this. Look southeast (towards the center). You should see two
trees with brown stuff, climb the one on the left and get on the hanging
platform. Take the platform to the end and grab the chest. Now go back and
climb the other tree. Take the platform to the end and grab the chest, then go
back and light the post. Now get on the bug train when it gets there and ride
it to the other side. Through the checkpoint and to the next map section.
Listen to Malbec's evil plans. In here climb the only tree with the brown
stuff and use the hanging platform to proceed further. Upon reaching the end,
go across the river and grab the chest, then climb up the rocks. Pyro blast
the pile of leaves on the other side of the river. Walk as far east as
possible then walk up the rock path. Get the chest sitting on the log and look
north and light the torch across the gap. then take the hanging platform to
the end. Ride the bug. Scale up the brown stuff on the tree and take the
hanging platform to the end and ride the bug into the cave. Get off the bug.
Equip the Fish Fillet and fillet the yellow angry angler when he jumps out of
the water. Now collect the chest and break all the stuff in here. Get back
on the bug when you're done.

2. Chomp
3. Jump & Snatch
4. Tail Laser (part 2 only)
5. Tongue Grab
+----------------------------------+
Yeah a boss fight in mid-air, sort of. Ok this is actually a two part boss
fight, but the second part goes just like the first one (you'll know when you
see it). He goes through his attacks in the same pattern over and over. First
off is the Fire Ball Barrage, jump from bug to bug to avoid this. Chomping is
actually a finish to most of his attacks, He eats you during this, If he did
grab you some where repeatedly mash Sq and wiggle the left analog stick. Jump
& Snatch is where he goes underwater and then jumps out and grabs a bug, to
avoid it get on a bug on the side and stay there until he starts resurfacing
then jump to another bug. Tongue grab is where he grabs a bug with his tongue,
pauses, then grabs it in. The Tail Laser starts of as single beam, jump over
it by jumping from bug to bug. When its two lasers, jump from the center bug
to an outer bug and back to avoid one laser. Keep on surviving and hitting his
mouth when he leaves it big wide and open and this will be over eventually.
You can also Pyro blast it anytime you see its face it front of you.

End Boss
+--------+
Afterwards you're back in town, hand Pepper the fillet you made. When she
offers some eat it (you'll see why when you do). Take up a plate to
Geldbrenner, in his invention lab. Poor dog. Now you have the Waterbug Shoes,
which allow you to walk ON water. Go by the Appraiser and get your stuff
appraised Drop by the Blacksmiths and accept to help him out, because you need
to get your sword tempered still and you're a nice guy. Now head to your room.
Watch the scene. Rest and save.

Chapter 4: Fire up the Furnace! - Part B (walk-chp4-b) (OPTIONAL)
This quest is optional but highly recommended so you can get your sword
tempered. Now we gotta grab some nebulite from the mine and give it Mug so he
can temper the katana. So head on over to Banon's when you're ready and go to
the mines.
+----------------------------------+
        Roquefort Mine 3
+----------------------------------+
And yet again, we're back here. This starts off differently than the other two
times though. You start on a train and get hounded by ninja goons and the
freaky nebulite eating rock thingies. When they start firing missles at you,
use fire blast to shake them off. When they send another train after you,
jump when it rams your train or else it'll hurt alot. Kill off the
passengers it flings on your train, and then kill the other train. Eventually
you get off the train, when you do grab the 3 chests before progressing, also
note the teleport, that's how your leaving. Take the path into the mine before
you. Learn X-Stream from the Ninjaroid. This place is pretty small, just take
the single path, taking elevators as necessary. After the second elevator
break the capsule before continuing. When you get to the end, you see lots of
red crystals, that's nebulite. Pick one up and carry it out. This sounds quite
easy but all those black crystals you walked by are now gonna try and eat your
nebulite. Keep them from doing so and take the teleport back to town.
When you get back you automatically give Mug the nebulite. have him temper
your katana now. Go to the arena and talk to Golovnin. You learn about the
Maiden of Wind, Istara, and he gives you the Champion's Belt to give to her.
Hmm, you know there was that fierce lookin chick before could that be her?
Go rest and save.

        Picodon Jungle 2

Back again, at the first split go left and walk across that water and grab the
chest and keep on going. Climb the brown stuff and head into the next map
section. Inside cut the bag. IT WAS HER. When a prompt comes up, I don't
believe choosing any one in particular affects the story. Well now you get to
carry Istara, so pick her up. Go up the path and follow it around, using the
silk tramploines to jump really high to the next platform eventually leading
to the next map section. Break the silk pouch, then continue on. Go to the 2nd
silk trampoline and break the two silk pouches. Use the silk trampoline to
then jump to the east platform and on to the next map section. Istara leaves,
go throught the checkpoint and out the entrance in front of you. Jump on the
rotating log, first go north. Inside the tree use one silk trampoline and
break the silk pouch. Then use the other and go out the higher exit. Grab the
chest then turn to the right side, use Karmic Circle and break the pouch. Go
back into the tree, then go back to the rotating log. Use the log and take the
south ledge, break the pouch and get back on the log. Take the east path now.
pyro blast the leaves, then go down below and break the silk pouch. Go through
the new opening. Grab the chest and break the capsule. Go back through the
opening and go back to the rotating log. Go back to inside the tree where
Istara left. Now go up the tree using all the silk trampolines. Go outside the
tree and keep going. Break the silk pouch then scale the tree. Continue along
and then use the silk trampolines to get even higher. When at the top, use
Karmic Circle to break the silk pouch, then get on the bug. To the next map
section. Watch the scene. Take the path before you and when you get inside the
next tree use Karmic Circle to break the pouch. Get the chest then go up,
using the silk trampolines. Go out the east exit first, grab the chest, and
break the silk pouch using Karmic Circle. Head back and take the other exit.
Keep going, use the silk trampoline to get up, then head farther, going back
into the tree. Use the silk trampoline to go higher then exit the tree to the
west. Break the capsule, then use the brown wall to get to the other platform
then use Karmic Circle to break the silk pouch. Head back into the tree and
take the north exit and onto the next map section via the bug. Go to the end
of the path breaking the jars at the end. Head up the stairs.

*- Her only upside down attack
The actual target is the mouth, but to get it to appear, you have to "kill"
her legs. Once you do kill her legs she will leave the ground and use the web
on the ceiling to move around. When she's on the ceiling after a pause she
will head to one of the plant platforms. You use the silk trampolines to get
onto the platform then jump onto her and whack away at her mouth. As your
doing this, she is not sitting around. While on the ground she does 4
different attacks: Jumping Spin Drill, she will jump and spin like a drill
trying to land on you, avoid this by keeping on the move; directly after
is the Stretch Legs, where she picks her legs up and flings them out to her
original formation; Drop Balloon Arachnid Core, this is the same as the things
you've fought on the way here with the balloon bombs; Entangle & Drop Smash,
here she will entangle you in her thread and if you fail to wiggle out of it,
she will pick you up and smash you into the ground. While upside down, being
on the ceiling she only does Drop Spiked Spheres, which go after you too, but
they are destroyed easily. After a few rounds of up and down, she is defeated.

Istara comes and delivers the final blow. After you get a prize by the chief
which is dependent on the number of picobeans you saved. After that you're

of the Void. Watch the Gandrake Board Meeting. SHE'S THE 5TH MAIDEN, ARGH!

       Chapter 5 (walk-chp5)
Chapter 5 rundown is to rescue Clochette then to go and get a guitar for
Selphie at Mouna Temple since he breaks his instrument.
               Section III-5-A
Chapter 5: La Femme Clochette - Part A (walk-chp5-a)
Clochette is the 5th Maiden, didn't see that coming did you? Anyways, head
to Banon's and get the story, then go to the reporter guy and get the scoop.
You learn Clochette is at Mouna Temple. If you are a Imagicard collector, head
back to Picodon Jungle to where you fought Arachnolia and get the Arachnolia
card, and "101 Bad Puns". Before going to Mouna Temple, however, you should get
your stuff appraised, hit the arena and stock up on items if necessary.
+----------------------------------+
          Mouna Temple
+----------------------------------+
This place is tad annoying because of the zombie-like guys, if you don't kill
them with an overkill attack, their body will seperate and still come after
you. Take the path before and head into the temple. Learn Inner Refuge from
a Blorb. Go upstairs and to the left and break the capsule. Go all the way
downstairs and take the north exit the next map section. Oh look, it's
the most irritating person in the game. Musashi knows how to push her buttons
muwhahaha. She says to defeat three monsters will open all the cages up.
She is referring to the Vapor Knights, to defeat these guys you gotta hurlwind
them, cancel it, then beat up the core. If you can, learn Leaping Tiger from
one as well. After defeating the three of them, grab all the chests you can,
there are two of them, you see a third but you can't get it yet. Now you can
pick up Ms. Complain Your Ears Off. By the way, she gives you a KEY ITEM
pricey jem, hint hint. Take her back to the previous map section. Oh look,
they closed the front entrance, not to worry there's another way. Walk up to
Arrow block blocking the East exit at the top of this section. Press X. It
opens. This part sucks because Ninja Digitators spawn infinitely and quickly
so don't hang around here too long. At the first split take the north path
to another map section, it's the chest you couldn't get before, grab it now.
Now head back to the split and go east and head to the next map section. This
part is a little tricky because you have to jump from pillar to pillar with
Clochette in hand and they don't give you much room for error. The trick is
to have only Musashi's heels left on the side before jumping. When you get to
the pillar before the one with the chest put Clochette down, grab the chest,
then drop to down below and grab the chest in the north east corner. Go back
to Clochette and continue along to the next map section. Keep going to the
next map section. Now we have alarms and searchlights, ugh, great. You may
notice the chest on the block, you can't get it yet, that's for the next visit
back here. Ok dodge the searchlight and head to the next map section. Keep
going to the next map section. Another searchlight, grr. Here drop Clochette,
climb up to the searchlight and break it, but beware of the acid shooting out
though. Go back, pick Clochette up and on to the next map section. In here,
drop Clochette in the first room before the searchlights then head to the south
room. In here jump up the ledge heading east and break the capsule and the
searchlight at the end. Head back and pick up Clochette, and go into the next
room. Here you have to time this just right to avoid the searchlights. Dodge
them and on to the next map section. This room is highly annoying, you have to
carry Clochette along the broken path, jumping across the gaps that shoot acid.
At the first split go south, at the second split, drop Clochette and go west.
Grab the chest, dodging the searchlight by a lower path around it. Go back and
pick Clochette up and go east. To dodge the searchlight you have to jump on the
lone pillar to wait for the searchlight to go by to continue on. Once you pass
the searchlight continue along the path, and at the large spot with 4 pillars,
drop to the lower area and grab the chest. Then continue along, jumping often,
to the door, press X, then automatically go the next map section. Here you
start falling, fight the Ninja Drillers and then you lose Clochette. HEH HEH
she gets what she deserves. Now the Temple has been reactivated. Go after
Shiraz to the next map section. Oh look the boss is unleashed, goody.

4. Pendulumic Sword
5. Fire Storm
6. Grab & Pierce
+----------------------------------+
Here is the six-handed swordsthing Ashura, First to actually be able to hurt
him, you have to break all six swords, you can tell which sword is the real
deal compared to the copies by the color. While breaking the six swords he
does attacks 1-3. Cross Slash, he sweeps the ground and then does an overhead
slash, you can jump over the first one, and dodge the second one by running
fast enough or getting far enough back. Air Slash is where he swings all six
blades in sequence sending a blade of air farther back to be able to reach you.
Sword Seek is where he puts all 6 swords into the ground and has them seek you
one at a time, however they seek very poorly and turn like crap, easy to dodge.
While he pauses anywhere break the different colored sword by using your
swords. After breaking all 6 swords he pulls out a different one. Now he only
does attacks 4-6. Pendulumic Sword is where the sword swings like a pendulum as
it attempts to chase you. Fire Storm is harder to deal with, it has rotating
heads that shoot fire and at first it starts with one open then all 4
eventually open up. THIS is where he takes real damage, beat down the sword.
Grab & Pierce is where he will crawl like a spider grab you and if you fail to
wiggle out he will get the sword to pierce through you. After a few rounds of
attacks 4-6 he should die.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Now that he is dead, grab the blade he left behind that he used during attacks
4-6, that is the Sword of the Void. Now go pick up Clochette and go take the
teleport to outside. Once outside watch Clochette be a sneak and you
automatically go back to town. Watch the scene. UGH YOU HEAR THAT RACKET?
Go down to the first floor and find out what's going on. You find Selphie
makin a racket. Talk to Nox to get him to stop. Well now, he broke his
instrument, but now he wants you to get him a new one. Accept the quest.
Rest and Save. Hit the appraiser's and hit the shops to stock on items.
Go near by the 3rd floor Dojo and talk to Burrini nearby. Burrini's bird Mayday
broke her wing, and Burrini wants to get some special mushrooms to make an
instant healing ointment. YOU AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPT THIS.
       END Chapter 5 - Part A

               Section III-5-B
Chapter 5: Foraging in Manglewood - Part B (walk-chp5-b) (OPTIONAL)
When you're ready, head back to Wellspring Woods.
+----------------------------------+
       Wellspring Woods 3
+----------------------------------+
First, head across the lake and grab the chest in the middle. Then head up the
river and grab the chest at the end. Now take the far east path to Manglewood.
You find Burrini. She's gonna help you (you need her help so you don't get
lost). You gotta carry her around and follow her directions like the first time
except when you find a mushroom on the ground put her down and pick it up.
After picking up a mushroom pick Burrini back up and head to the center of the
current section so she can tell you where to go next. After getting three of
the thrushrooms you're back in town. Mayday is flying again. Go down to the
Bakery and talk to Burrini. She hands over her ribbon, which halves the Sword
of Earth's MP Cost (10->5). Now go rest and save.
       END Chapter 5 - Part B

               Section III-5-C
Chapter 5: Music to Jog the Memory - Part C (walk-chp5-c)
Stock up on items, if you need to, and hit the arena and grab Istara's scarf,
if you haven't already. Head back to Mouna Temple.
+----------------------------------+
          Mouna Temple
+----------------------------------+
This place has changed now that it has been activated. It's no longer dark and
droopy, it's lit and more cheerier besides the monsters being here of course.
This time its more necessary for Istara's scarf, there's more Vapor Knights
and Hurlwind is now used to advance through the temple. Head to the temple and
enter it. Head upstairs and take the east exit to the next map section. At the
first split head south. Hurlwind the Blorb over the lasers and cancel it when
it's over the switch. Break the capsule, then head back to the split and head
east. You get to fight your first Vault Guardian, get it to break its ball in
chain and then learn Celestial Strike from its axe attack. Kill it then go to
the next map section. Use the large pillar in front of you to get over the
lasers then time your jumps across the pillars to dodge the laser. Head into
the next map section. Keep going and go to the next map section. Hurlwind the
blorb onto the switch. Now head over, break the glowing block and grab the
chest. Drop below and head into the next map section. Head into the last room
and have another match with a Vault Guardian except with two Red Ninjaroids as
well. Kill them all then head into the next map section. Now that the Temple
is activated all the acid before is now water. Head into the next map section.
Head into the south room, and use Inner Refuge to get through the lasers
unharmed, then get the chest in the corner. Use inner refuge to get back
through the lasers then use the ledge and take the path east. Keep going east
and head into the next map section. Head east and break the capsule.
Congratulations! that was the last capsule. Head southwest and grab the chest
on a platform by itself. Go and follow the path and take the far east exit.
At the end get the three chests. Go back to the previous section and take the
north exit that is on a platform by itself. This section is under what most
gamers call a "Fog of War," which means the map is not revealed. This is also
a big maze also. I will now go in a room by room direction.
north 1, east 3, south 1: grab 1 chest. north 1, west 1, north 1, west 1:
grab 1 chest. East 3, north 1: grab 1 chest. South 1, west 1, north 1, west 2,
grab 6 chests. Take the teleport out. You automatically hand over the guitar
and there is a concert. He hands over a "? Black Disk". Head over to the
appraiser's and get your stuff appraised. You now have the Hare Ring which
automatically adds 30 Focus, its now easier to fully charge now. FINALLY,
Clochette is done changing, so go to the chamber of rites and get the powered
up Sword of the Void.
       END Chapter 5 - Part C

               Section III-6
Chapter 6: The Final Showdown (walk-chp6)
Rest and save. Head next door to Mug's get your last katana tempering. Head to
Mew's Dojo and duplicate Decoy from him. Then stock up on items and hit the
arena if you want. Head to Banon's and you get the dirt on Gandrake's hideout.
Now head to the Geldbrenner's and you get the jetboard, it's a rocket powered
surfing board. If you couldn't learn any abilities before, now is the time to
get them, with the Hare Ring, some +Foc equipment and some Squint Juleps. Once
you are completely ready for the final and LONG dungeon head to Rampart Isle.
There are about 6 boss battles in here so have lots and lots of healing items.
+----------------------------------+
          Rampart Isle
+----------------------------------+
You use the jetboard to get to the island. On the island the Welcoming
Committee comes out. You get caught in a poison capsule. When you have
control, immediately hit Tri to get out. Get on the elevator. Go up the ledge
to the left and grab the chest, then go inside. Once inside, go and drop to
the lower side, jump up and slash the switch. Then go scale up the side and go
up the screw elevator. AS soon as you get up, use Maelstrom. Head across the
bridge, learn Kiai from the Ninjaroid. You now have all the techniques in the
game! Proceed further and use Tremor Thrust on the button. Head into the next
map section. Get to the end of the section before the door, and use hyrdo blast
on the torch TWICE. Onward to the next map section. Use the trampolines and
light all four torches with Pyro Blast, then head into the next map section.
Get to the end of the bridge and hurlwind something across to the switch and
cancel it, then proceed across and grab the two chests. Go to the next map
section. Go east and get on the assembly line. Use it to get off on the north
side and go around and get the chest. Get back on the assembly line and follow
it along to the next break in the rail. proceed further and climb up the
ladder. Use Shadow Warrior to sneak past the security system and head into the
next map section. Use Shadow Warrior again to sneak past the security system
and proceed to the corner exit. Head into the end room.
+----------------------------------+
             Malbec
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Summon Female Lab Techs
2. Mirage AK4D7
+----------------------------------+
First boss battle for in here, one of the easiest ones too. He only does two
attacks. First he summons four Female Lab Techs each with a machine gun, you
can clear this two ways: kill the lab techs first then beat him down or beat
him down first then kill lab techs as they disappear. Mirage AK4D7 is where he
puts mirages of himself on every light platform while only one will actually
shoot, clearable in two ways: slash at the mirages until you find him and beat
him down, or just hop around in a big circle and avoid the shot. After about
two or three rounds he's dead.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Now you have the lever, so go back to the previous map section, and put it in
the switch box and pull the switch. Head into the next map section. Step onto
the bright spot on the elevator and ride it up. At the top you are presented
with three paths. Two lead to boss fights, one leads to a checkpoint. Take
the south path. At the end go into the light, grab the five chests. DO NOT
break the other things unless you need MP or HP. Go through the checkpoint
and head into the light. Go back to the elevator and take the west path.
At the end head into the light.
+----------------------------------+
             Shiraz
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Combo Slash
2. Pouncing Slash
3. Single Nail Assault (1 to 3)
4. Hand Nail Assault
+----------------------------------+
This guy is no picnic, he does pretty good damage with any attack and he also
blocks your attacks after a while. Combo Slash is where he runs around
eventually getting in you face and slashing you a bunch. Pouncing Slash is
similar to Combo Slash except he pounces from a distance back. For both of
these it's best to be guarding and and have him targeted (so you always face
him blocking). When he jumps a distance back he's going to use the Nail
Assaults. Single Nail Assault: he sends one of his nails through the ground to
pierce you from the floor or directly at you through the air. To avoid this
jump away. Then he does the Hand Nail Assault: he sends a hand of nails in your
direction, jump away or be really far away from him. After he does either of
the Slash attacks beat him down as much before he starts blocking. After about
four or five rounds of this he finally dies.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Head through the light. Now head back to the elevator. You can head back to
the checkpoint and use it or head straight along the east path and into the
light to the next boss battle.
+----------------------------------+
        Glogg & Riesling
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1a. Baseball
1b. Boomerang
2. Mad Dash
+----------------------------------+
These two fight as a pair. Baseball is where one swings his weapon around for
a while then eventually tosses it the other and hits it back producing a large
area of effect, to avoid this be near the person who was originally swinging
their weapon around. While one is swinging the other person is able to be hurt
so do that. If you attack the tired person after they tossed their weapon the
other will come and attempt to attack you, this is fairly easy to dodge by
jumping. After the Baseball has been completely finished, they charge up and
do a Mad Dash around the place, keep jumping and you should be able to avoid
this. After one dies Baseball turns into Boomerang where the remaining person
will swing their weapon around for a while then toss it at you. However, the
remaining person only does it during their original turn, so he does it once
per two rounds. After a total of 3 or 4 rounds depending on if you used heavy
hitting abilities or not, they will both be dead.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Head into the light. Head back to the elevator then hit the checkpoint,
breaking the HP and MP containers now if you haven't already. Head back to the
elevator and step on the light. Ride the elevator up. Kill all the enemies
that are thrown at you (lots of Ninjaroids). When the elevator stops, take the
path before you. At the end head into the light. Look it's the princess.
Rothschild appears and makes a proposition, of course Musashi refuses.
+----------------------------------+
           Rothschild
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Tornado
2. Combo Slash
3. Summon Red Ninjaroids
4. Air Sweep
+----------------------------------+
Rothschild is not very hard. First he does Tornado, he does consecutive
Hurlwinds, easy to dodge by running around the perimeter. When you give him a
beat down after this he may attempt to Combo Slash you back, block to avoid.
Then he summons three Red Ninjaroids. After they're dead, he sweeps the area
by using a wind tunnel, avoidable by getting beside him when he starts and
getting to the other side after he starts. Anytime he's just standing around
give him a beat down. After a few rounds he's toast.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Now you can free Mycella by placing all five swords in their respective slots.
Do so now. That's three times now that you've saved her. She really owes you.
She gives you a victory spell. WOOHOO. With Mycella in hand, head into the
light. Head into the next map section. Head up the tower, jumping up each
platform. After a little ways, debris starts falling so watch out for it.
When the platform in front of you falls, use the pipe on your right to
continue. Jump from the pipe to the next platform and keep going up. At the
end head into the next map section. Head through the doors to the center.
Gandrake tells you about himself and his true plans.
+----------------------------------+
         Shadow Musashi
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Mad Charge
2. Chain Attack
3. Spell
+----------------------------------+
You should know more about this boss than any other. It works exactly like you
do, so from playing the game you should know how to beat yourself up
(literally). First he starts off with something you don't know, Mad Charge.
He traverses the entire area in a cycle of diagonals, based off of a
five-pointed star. So, from where he is, you can know where he's headed.
After that, he Chain Attacks you, just block and beat him down at the end of
it. After that he uses the Spell that the current sword he has equipped, it
goes in the same order you acquired them. After that he Chain Attacks you
again. By this time, you should have knocked him out temporarily and while he's
out grab the sword he drops up. If by some means you fail to knock him out, he
will cycle to the next sword. Meanwhile Mycella will heal you if you carry
her. After getting back all five swords this battle is over.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
Gandrake kills Mycella, NO FAIR. Now Musashi is pissed. Watch the scene.
+----------------------------------+
       Gandrake Nebulized
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Vertical Energy Slash
2. Seeker Beam
3. Horizontal Energy Slash
4. Nebulite Shower
5. Nebulite Stalagmite
6. Sword Sweep
7. Strangle and Toss
+----------------------------------+
Now Gandrake turned into the ultimate form.... HE'S A FREAKIN ROCK! Anyways he
cycles through the attacks listed above. Vertical Energy Slash: he does three
vertical slashes which cause a nebulite trail on the ground, dodge by running
around. Seeker Beam: he makes a laser beam that follows you around, keep
running around to avoid. Horizontal Energy Slash: he swings his sword causing
a energy wave to be created, avoid this by jumping at the precise moment.
Nebulite Shower: he shatters into a bunch of pieces and rains on your head,
avoid by running around. Nebulite Stalagmite: He chases you around through the
floor and stalagmizes (forms a big crystal), avoid by running around and
jumping when the black shadow is underneath you. Sword Sweep: he swings his big
nebulite sword across the ground twice, with the second time being faster,
avoid by jumping at the right time. In between most of his attacks he pauses
and a bright red gem appears on his chest, this is your sign to give him the
beatdown. If, for any reason you're up close to him and he's not got the red
spot out, he will grab you and Strangle & Toss you, so stay away from him if
he's not vulnerable to attacks. By the end of the first round I killed him
by repeatedetly using Leaping Tiger.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
You are now back in town with a dead Mycella in your hands. Everyone is
depressed over her death. Continue watching the scene. After a while
Gandrake shows up wanting a deathmatch.
+----------------------------------+
            Gandrake
+----------------------------------+
Attacks:
1. Final Strike
+----------------------------------+
This is the easiest thing ever if you have been using Counterattack. All you
have to do is charge up your focus gauge and use counterattack. If you fail
the counterattack you die, if you succeed Gandrake is dead.
+--------+
End Boss
+--------+
And watch the final cinema AFTER the credits. WOOT you beat the game.
At "The End" screen press X and save your data for replay.
       END Chapter 6

               Section III-7
       Replay Mode Notes (walk-rply)
Ok the only thing I noticed directly in replay mode is the Prologue: you don't
have to go through the tutorial again. In my opinion the enemies also seem to
do an extra 10-20% damage, and it takes about 10-20% longer to level up.
Otherwise I noticed no other differences.
       END Section III

               Section IV
       Techniques (tech-xyz)
This is a list of Techniques capable of being learned, along with from
what foe it is learned from and where that foe is first encountered.

To learn a technique you must come across an enemy that has a blue color
to the charge gauge, then charge it fully.  After charging you must wait
for the foe to do the learnable ability, pressing Sq when the foe does it.

As I was playing I managed to have high enough of a focus stat to learn each
ability as I encountered the foe that had it, except for the ones that are
marked.  For these it helps to have the Hare Ring (Legendary Artifact #5)
which automatically adds 30 Focus, and to have some focus increasing
equipment on hand. I never particularly chose Focus as a primary point at
level up, I usually alternated between Defense and Attack.

*1* - Mandatory to continue plot whether now or later
*2* - Require atleast 150 Focus
*3* - Only during the first play (not replay mode).

               Section IV-1
       **Fundamentals** (tech-fun)
Fundamental attacks are performed using special button combinations and can
always be used and are the most helpful abilities to know.

Chain Attack *1&3*- after 3 regular katana attacks have 2 BroadSword attacks
learned from Ninjaroid - first at Wellspring Woods - regular attack
press Sq 5 Times to learn
**Note**: Once Three Sixty is learned, you can finish the chain attack with
it instead of the normal slow attack it does (does more damage too)

Three Sixty       - Spinning Slash against all nearby foes with katana
learned from Galvabot - first at Wellspring Woods/Nebullium Tower
spinning attack, get behind him for better chances.
Rotate Left analog stick once then hit Sq to learn
Does about 150-300% normal katana slash damage

Sonic Thrust      - first at Wellspring Woods - Quick attack
learned from Ripper Bat - charge attack - stay in front of it
Press up on the Left analog stick and hit Sq to learn
Does about 150-200% normal katana slash damage

Counterattack *1* - defend against enemy attack and unleash a critical hit
learned from Mew - Dojo in the Antheum Chptr 3
press R1+Square to learn
Does about 300-500% normal katana slash damage

               Section IV-2
       **Secret Techniques** (tech-sec)
Secret Techniques are offensive attacks that require MP to perform
Pressing O when prompted for command learns the attack

an axe in hand, wait till he breaks his fist to get one.

Leaping Tiger *2*- 25 MP - Spin and slice twice. Nice.
learned from Vapor Knight - first at Mouna Temple

As a quick damage guide is for every 5 MP consumed it does about 100-150%
damage of a regular katana slash so i.e. Leaping Tiger is 25 MP,
25/5 = 5 * 100-150% = about 500-750% regular katana slash damage

               Section IV-3
       **Defensive Techniques** (tech-def)
Defensive Techniques are abilities that keep you from taking damage
press L1 to learn when prompted

learned from Mew - Dojo in the Antheum Chptr 6

               Section IV-4
       **Ascetic Techniques** (tech-asc)
Ascetic Techniques give you some special power or enhancement
while gradually draining MP except for the last one.
Pressing O will learn the command when prompted to.

Kiai    *2*  - Gradual MP Loss - Gradually expend MP to enhance strength

       ImagiCards (card-xyz)
Imagicards are holographic representations of all sprites in the game, they
even come with an action command.

Only when you get all 110 do you get S rank, and your title starts with
"Card Shark." As the game progress, the cards generally increase in price,
some alot, others only a little. Some cards get so expensive, they sell out!
