1.) What is the Challenge Series?

The Challenge Series is a set of races, contests, etc. to in a way test your
skills as a driver, and a good way to improve your overall skills, as well
as unlock some cool stuff at the same time.  There are 12 different
challenge series covering all of the different racing situations you'll come
across in the game.  I'm going to detail them all out for you and add some
tips on how to make them easier to beat.
=========================

--------------------------

2a.) Canyon Duel - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Duel - Silver
Track: Journeyman's Bane
Length: 4.5 Miles
Car: Lexus IS300 (Tuner)
Description: Defeat an easy opponent in a Canyon Duel on Journeyman's
Bane.
My Opinion: After taking a try or two to get adjusted to the car's handling
and the track itself, it shouldn't take much more than a couple tries before
you can beat this one.
--------------------------

2b.) Canyon Duel - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Duel - Gold
Track: Gold Valley Duel
Length: 2.5 Miles
Car: Plymouth Road Runner (Muscle)
Description: Defeat an intermediate opponent in a Canyon Duel on Gold
Valley.
My Opinion: If you've never driven a muscle car yet, getting the hang of the
handling may be a bit harder than the challenge itself, but all in all, this one
isn't too difficult either.
--------------------------

2c.) Canyon Duel - Gold
Reward: Switchblade Spoiler
Track: Eternity Pass
Length: 3.1 Miles
Car: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Muscle)
Description: Defeat a hard opponent in a Canyon Duel on Eternity Pass.
My Opinion: This Challenge will definetly push you, you'll have to balance
your acceleration, braking, and turning to get through this one, if you're lucky
you'll overtake your opponent in the first leg, but don't expect to, you may
have to start and probably finish the second leg.
--------------------------

3a.) Canyon Race - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Race - Silver
Track: Gold Valley
Length: 3.4 Miles
Car: Mazda RX-8 (Tuner)
Description: Win a Canyon Race on Gold Valley against easy opposition.
My Opinion: Like the last Bronze challenge, this shouldn't be much trouble
for you.  Not much else to add about it.
--------------------------

3b.) Canyon Race - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Race - Gold
Track: Copper Ridge
Length: 2.6 Miles
Car: Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (Tuner)
Description: Win a Canyon Race on Copper Ridge against intermediate
opposition.
My Opinion: This race won't be as easy to get into the lead in, but its not
that hard either, just take a little time and wait for the right spots to make
your moves, you'll be in the lead and winning the race in no time.
--------------------------

3c.) Canyon Race - Gold
Reward: NFS Carbon Logo Vinyls
Track: Deadfall Junction
Length 3.4 Miles
Car: Nizzan 350Z (Tuner)
Description: Win a Canyon Race on Deadfall Junction against hard
opposition.
My Opinion: Overall, this one isn't all that difficult, as long as you don't
make any huge mistakes, you should be able to win this no problem.
--------------------------

4a.) Checkpoint - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Checkpoint - Silver
Track: Eskuri Plaza
Length: 5.6 Miles
Car: Renault Clio V6 (Tuner)
Description: Complete the Eskuri Plaza Checkpoint Challenge in under 3:44
to win.
My Opinion: No real challenge here. I smashed into a few walls along the
way and still finished with over 40 seconds to spare.  As long as you don't
wreck too horribly, you'll be fine.
--------------------------

4b.) Checkpoint - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Checkpoint - Gold
Track: Rabinowitz Drive
Length: 5.3 Miles
Car: Plymouth Hemi Cuda (Muscle)
Description: Complete the Rabinowitz Drive Checkpoint Challenge in under
3:02 to win.
My Opinion: On the way to the first two checkpoints, you may find yourself
running a little low on time.  You'll need to make sure you don't hit too many
walls on this one, or you may not finish in time.
--------------------------

4c.) Checkpoint - Gold
Reward: Venom Spoiler
Track: Blackwell Road
Length: 5.8 Miles
Car: Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Exotic)
Description: Complete the Blackwell Road Checkpoint Challenge in under
3:21 to win.
My Opinion: This one is definetly not very easy, but as long as you can hug
your corners at good speeds, you should be able to pull this off with few
problems. This one may take a few tries.
--------------------------

5a.) Canyon Checkpoint - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Checkpoint - Silver
Track: Lofty Heights
Length: 3.3 Miles
Car: Chevrolet Camero SS (Muscle)
Description: Complete the Lofty Heights Checkpoint Challenge in under
2:39 to win.
My Opinion: Not much of a challenge, but if you've been reading this whole
thing, you'd notice all of the Bronze Challenges are not very difficult.  As
long as you don't wreck a lot, you'll be fine.
--------------------------

5b.) Canyon Checkpoint - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Checkpoint - Gold
Track: Knife's Edge
Length: 2.4 Miles
Car: Mazda RX-7 (Tuner)
Description: Complete the Knife's Edge Checkpoint Challenge in under
1:25 to win.
My Opinion: They do not leave you much room for error on this challenge,
thankfully you're in a car that handles beautifully, just hug your corners and
watch your speed, you should be fine.
--------------------------

5c.) Canyon Checkpoint - Gold
Reward: Pearlescent Paint
Track: Desperation Ridge
Length: 3.4 Miles
Car: BMW M3 GTR (Exotic)
Description: Complete the Desperation Ridge Checkpoint Challenge in
under 1:55 to win.
My Opinion: There is very little room for error on this one, especially before
the first checkpoint, this will probably take a few tries before you get this
one.
--------------------------

6a.) Canyon Drift - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Drift - Silver
Track: Gold Valley Drift
Length: 3.1 Miles
Car: Aston Martin DB9 (Exotic)
Description: Score over 25,000 PTS on this Canyon Drift to win.
My Opinion: Not very hard at all, just build up your speed and glide through
the corners, it's not all that hard to get a score as high as 200,000 on this
one.
--------------------------

6b.) Canyon Drift - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Canyon Drift - Gold
Track: Knife's Edge Drift
Length: 2.4 Miles
Car: Toyota MR2 (Tuner)
Description: Score over 100,000 PTS on this Canyon Drift to win.
My Opinion: This one is a bit more difficult, there isn't a lot of track on this
one, so you have to make each drift count, all you need are a couple of
really good ones and you should be all set.
--------------------------

6c.) Canyon Drift - Gold
Reward: Sidewinder Spoiler
Track: Lookout Point Drift
Length: 2.3 Miles
Car: Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (Exotic)
Description: Score over 150,000 PTS on this Canyon Drift to win.
My Opinion: This may seem a bit of a challenge at first, but don't worry, if
you've got the hang of drifting, you can drift almost the whole last half of
this course in one combo, getting you around 120,000-160,000 PTS.
Just keep your speed up as best you can around those corners.
--------------------------

7a.) Pursuit Evasion - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Pursuit Evasion - Silver
Track: Starlight Strip Escape
Length: N/A
Car: Mazda Mazdaspeed3 (Tuner)
Description: Evade the police pursuit after at least 2 minutes to win.
My Opinion: Nothing much to watch out for on this one, just drive around
for a couple minutes, then after you reach the two minute mark, find a pursuit
breaker and use it to disable the cops chasing you, it may take two or three,
but you should have this one done in little time.
--------------------------

7b.) Pursuit Evasion - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Pursuit Evasion - Gold
Track: Beachfront Dodge
Length: N/A
Car: Dump Truck (Not exactly sure, but probably a class of its own)
Description: Evade the police pursuit after at least 5 minutes to win.
My Opinion: The poor acceleration and handling make this quite a challenge,
just a few things to keep in mind.  Don't think that since you're in a dump
truck that you can go head to head with an oncoming Rhino, you may still
see yourself getting thrown back.  Stay to the edge of the roadblocks and
just blow through, avoid going through the middle if you can.  Pursuit
Breakers are essential... keep their numbers as low as you can becuase if
you slow down, they can easily start to push you around and corner you.
This may end up taking a few tries.
--------------------------

7c.) Pursuit Evasion - Gold
Reward: Overdial & Shaker Hoods
Track: Route 55 Getaway
Length: N/A
Car: Nissan Skyline GT-RR34 (Tuner)
Description: Evade the police pursuit after at least 12 minutes to win.
My Opinion: For those of you who haven't noticed, Cross is actually chasing
you at the beginning of this, and in case you were wondering, taking his car
out adds 300,000 to your bounty.  This is gonna be a long challenge, just
watch out for spikes and oncoming rhinos and you should fair well.  You can
stick to the highway if you want, there is plenty of room to manuver as well
as make U-turns.  If you think that's boring, you can make your way into the
city and let loose with the Pursuit Breakers.  Just because you lose your tires
doesn't mean you should give up immediately, you can still move around, just
not as easily.  If you're close to finishing, try and stick it out.
--------------------------

8a.) Trade Paint - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Trade Paint - Silver
Track: Hills Borough Hijinks
Length: N/A
Car: Dodge Charger SRT8 (Muscle)
Description: Disable at least 5 police vehicles and evade the pursuit to win.
My Opinion: Take out 5 vehicles? Not that hard, right? If you've gotten the
hang of everything by now, this one shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
--------------------------

8b.) Trade Paint - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Trade Paint - Gold
Track: Wyle Canter Crackdown
Length: N/A
Car: Subaru Impreza WRX STi (Tuner)
Description: Disable at least 10 police vehicles and evade the pursuir to win.
My Opinion: Just like the last challenge, this one won't be too difficult either
its only code 3, so no big Rhinos, or spike strips.  Just ram into a couple of
roadblocks, use a few pursuit breakers, and you'll be done in no time.
--------------------------

8c.) Trade Paint - Gold
Reward: Pearl Window Tint
Track: Brimstone A.P.B.
Length: N/A
Car: Chevrolet Chevelle SS (Muscle)
Description: Disable at least 30 police vehicles and evade the pursuit to win.
My Opinion: Ok, try to get this done before the pursuit ends up going to
condition 5, which takes about 10 minutes.  Once those federal pursuit
vehicles are on you, it's 10 times harder to get out.  This one may take a few
tries before you get lucky enough to pull it off in time.  Good luck.
--------------------------

9a.) Circuit - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Circuit - Silver
Track: Dover Street
Length: 7.0 Miles
Car: Alfa Romeo Brera (Exotic)
Description: Win a Circuit Race on Dover St. against easy opposition.
My Opinion: This shouldn't be too hard at all, barely any sharp turns on this
course, and you're in a car that handles very well, this won't take much time
to beat.
--------------------------

9b.) Circuit - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Circuit - Gold
Track: Oceanview
Length: 7.0 Miles
Car: Lamborghini Gallardo (Exotic)
Description: Win a Circuit Race on Ocean View against intermediate
opposition.
My Opinion: This one is a bit more challenging, but as long as you watch out
for the corners, you should be all set.  Again, this one shouldn't take much
time to beat.
--------------------------

9c.) Circuit - Gold
Reward: Impact Spoiler
Track: Starlight Street
Length 6.5 Miles
Car: Shelby GT500 (Muscle)
Description: Win a Circuit Race on Starlight Street against hard opposition.
My Opinion: The key to winning this one is to watch your corners, and take
advantage of the shortcuts.  It may take a couple tries before you get it.
--------------------------

10a.) Sprint - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Sprint - Silver
Track: Condo Row
Length: 3.8 Miles
Car: Dodge Charger R/T (Muscle)
Description: Win a Sprint Race on Condo Row against easy opposition.
My Opinion: Not too much to worry about on this challenge, just watch your
handling around corners and you should be fine.
--------------------------

10b.) Sprint - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Sprint - Gold
Track: Kings Park
Length: 5.0 Miles
Car: Porsche Cayman S (Exotic)
Description: Win a Sprint Race on Kings Park against intermediate
opposition.
My Opinion: This car handles beautifully, this challenge should be no
problem.
--------------------------

10c.) Sprint - Gold
Reward: Honey Vinyl
Track Canmor Road
Length 3.3 Miles
Car: Mitsubishi Lancer (Tuner)
Description: Win a Sprint Race on Canmor Road against hard opposition.
My Opinion: This one is not easy, you've got to hug your corners and keep
your speed up through the whole race.  This one may take a few tries.
--------------------------

11a.) Drift - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Drift - Silver
Track: Chinatown Drift
Length: 2.7 Miles
Car: Lotus Europa S (Exotic)
Description: Score over 50,000 PTS on this Drift to win.
My Opinion: The only thing you have to worry about here is keeping your
speed up high enough to get the points you need.  This shouldn't take long to
beat at all.
--------------------------

11b.) Drift - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Drift - Gold
Track: Park Drive Drift
Length: 2.8 Miles
Car: Toyota Supra (Tuner)
Descrption: Score over 140,000 PTS on this Drift to win.
My Opinion: As long as you can keep your speed up throughout this Drift,
you should be fine.
--------------------------

11c.) Drift - Gold
Reward: Tornado Spoiler
Track: Main Street Drift
Length: 4.3 Miles
Car: Cheverolet Corvette Z06 (Muscle)
Description: Score over 250,000 PTS on this Drift to win.
My Opinion: Again, this one isn't all that hard, just keep your speed and
watch your corners.
--------------------------

12a.) Speedtrap - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Speedtrap - Silver
Track: Million Dollar Run
Length: 4.6 Miles
Car: Chrystler 300C Hemi SRT6 (Muscle)
Description: Win the Million Dollar Run Speedtrap Race against easy
opposition.
My Opinion: Not very difficult at all, just watch your handling, and give
yourself a good nitrous boost before each speedtrap and you'll be fine.
--------------------------

12b.) Speedtrap - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Speedtrap - Gold
Track: Infinity Park
Length: 3.5 Miles
Car: Ford Mustang GT (Muscle)
Description: Win a Speedtrap Race on Infinity Park against intermediate
opposition.
My Opinion: Again, just like the last one, not very difficult, just need to
watch your corners, and give yourself a boost before each trap.
--------------------------

12c.) Speedtrap - Gold
Reward: Groundmaster Spoiler
Track: Eskuri Way
Length: 3.7 Miles
Car: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (Exotic)
Description: Win a Speedtrap Race on Eskuri Way against hard opposition.
My Opinion: This one is a bit of a challenge, but if you keep following the
same advice i've been giving you, you should be all set.
--------------------------

13a.) Circuit - Bronze
Reward: Unlocks Circuit - Silver
Track: Downtown
Length: 7.7 Miles
Car: Mitsubishi Eclipse (Tuner)
Description: Win the Downtown Circuit Race against easy opposition.
My Opinion: Another easy bronze challenge, then again they all seemed
kinda easy, didnt they?
--------------------------

13b.) Circuit - Silver
Reward: Unlocks Circuit - Gold
Track: Fortuna
Length 14.7 Miles
Car: Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (Exotic)
Description: Win the Fortuna Circuit Race against intermediate competition.
My Opinion: This is a long race, but its not a difficult one.  The car's
handling is a bit loose, but its not really too bad.  If you end up having
any trouble shaking them, you might be able to slow them up with a pursuit
breaker.  That should keep them away from you.
--------------------------

13c.) Circuit - Gold
Reward: Race Flag Vinyls
Track: Silverton
Length: 9.5 Miles
Car: Dodge Challenger Concept (Muscle)
Description: Win the Silverton Circuit Race against hard opposition.
My Opinion: This one isn't all that hard either, as long as you can take your
corners well.  There are a couple of shortcuts to take a few seconds off your
lap, which never hurts lol.  This one shouldn't take too many tries to beat.
--------------------------

14.) Tips

Track Drifting - Speed is good, just watch your corners.  Hitting the wall
results in you getting only half of the points you had for the drift.

Canyons - Top speed is bottom priority, focus on accelerating and handling.

Speedtraps - Try to get shortcuts that avoid going around turns, that way
you can keep your speed, and give yourself a nitrous boost before every
trap.

Turns in a Muscle car - High in, low out.  Start the turn at the outside of the
track, brake a little until you start to make the turn, turn and accelerate.
