I) About The Game
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ratchet: Deadlocked, is by far the best single-player and co-op game
in the series (in my opinion of course), especially since you can switch
between single and co-op for the same file. Some things are easier single
player and some things are easier co-op too.
The best part of this game is that it's a third person shooter by default
with some of the funnest gameplay around... the weapons are probably the
biggest attraction for this game and its series.
The name of the game is to complete the challenges forced upon you by
Dreadzone, an illegal gameshow where players compete against each other
in life or death matches.
I shouldn't really tell too much about this game so lets get to the
good stuff shall we...
----------------------------------------------
A) What's New
----------------------------------------------
There are some major differences between this game, the previous ones,
and its own co-op play, so let me explain the differences...
Single Player Mode - After the first level this game becomes vastly
different from the previous Ratchet & Clank games. The campaigns you
go through cannot be completed alone, or at least the game doesn't think
so... so you're accompanied by 2 robot body-guards. Your two robots
have certain abilities and functions that make this game different:
they can turn cranks for you, hack orbs, revive, throw EMP's, extend
bridge cables, etc. All of their functions are controlled on the D-Pad
of the PS2 controller.
Co-op Mode - The robots you have in single player are replaced with
the second player is the main thing to note in this mode. Now the players
have control over the 4 main functions of the robots so things may get
tricky at first, but death is nearly impossible in co-op mode because
as long as one player is alive it's not game over. After a player dies
a 5 second counter ticks off, and when it reaches 0 the player is reborn.
If both players are killed in that 5 second window its game over.
That's about it for my main concerns for those who just bought this game
and haven't played through it yet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
B) Weapons
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though this game has only 10 weapons, the things you can do with
them make it as though there are 100 weapons. The first thing you'll
probably notice is that the weapons can level up... increasing in power
and performance as the level gets closer and closer to Lvl 10. The best
thing about this game too, is that once you've beaten it and gone into
challenge mode... you can buy the MEGA upgrades and level them up to
lvl 99! You can only buy the MEGA upgrade if they're lvl 10.
NOTE: When the weapons become lvl 10 their names change to fit the
new and improved power. They do not change their names after that though.
Below is a list of bios for all 10 weapons of the game, including the
game's own description for it aswell.
NOTE: I excluded the amount of ammo the weapons hold because it all
depends on the Alpha mods you put on them.
----------------------------------------------------
Scorpion Flail ---> Leviathan Flail
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 75,000 ---> 1,000,000
Damage: 400 ---> 3012
Description: Legendary gladiator Quaternion X used to call this weapon
"the old ball and chain". The Scorpion Flail extends to its full length
when its weilder attacks, delivering a crushing blow capable of
disintegrating a small asteroid. Not recommended for children under 3
years of age.
Recomendations: Freeze Mod, 4 Ammo Mod, 6 Area Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Dual Vipers ---> Dual Raptors
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: Start With ---> 2,250,000
Damage: 10 ---> 168
Description: The dual vipers are sure to please even the most hard-boiled
weapons fanatics in the galaxy. The nano-optic refire technology and
unparalleled ammo capacity promise a better tomorrow for all Dreadzone
contestants.
Recomendations: Brainwash Mod, 10 Ammo Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Magma Cannon ---> Vulcan Cannon
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: Start With ---> 1,750,000
Damage: 60 ---> 567
Description: The Magma Cannon is the pride of the Vox Industries personal
protection line. This weapon is a quick firing, two-handed monster that
spits a cone of searing hot magma. Reactor says, "I may be a lousy shot,
but this baby can hit anything!"
Recomendations: Freeze Mod, 2 Speed Mod, 8 Ammo Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Hunter Mine Launcher ---> Stalker Mine Launcher
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 35,000 ---> 1,250,000
Damage: 120 ---> 1034
Description: When Vox said, "I need a gun that launches highly explosive
homing mines," his weapons design team thought he was crazy. Maybe he
was, because he fed them all to a leviathin. But the new design team
gave DreadZone one of its most beloved and deadly weapons.
Recomendations: Timebomb Mod (for fun), 4 Ammo Mod, 6 Area Mod
----------------------------------------------------
B6-Obliterator ---> B11-Vaporizer
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 15,000 ---> 2,500,000
Damage: 200 ---> 1550
Description: The B6-Obliterator was voted "Weapon of the Year" by the
Galactic Association of Ridiculously Unnecessary Firepower. You'll buy
if for the precision ground targeting, but you'll love it for its
gratuitous destruction.
Recomendations: Mini-Bomb Mod, 2 Ammo Mod, 8 Area Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Arbiter ---> Silencer
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 60,000 ---> 2,750,000
Damage: 600 ---> 4991
Description: The Arbiter fires high velocity, carbonox-armor-piercing
rockets whos explosions reverberate across the fabric of space and time
and into dimensions as yet unknown. Ace Hardlight gave this weapon its
name after using it to settle a legal dispute with his former agent.
Recomendations: Napalm Mod, 6 Ammo Mod, 4 Area Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Fusion Rifle ---> Anti-Matter Rifle
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 50,000 ---> 1,500,000
Damage: 500 ---> 4046
Description: The Fusion Rifle uses a patented form of hydrogen fusion
combined with a state of the art magnetic optics scope for long range
accuracy. Gleeman Vox keeps this weapon handy at board meetings in case
he gets interrupted.
Recomendations: Shock Mod, 3 Speed Mod, 7 Ammo Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Holoshield Launcher ---> Omni-Shield Launcher
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 20,000 ---> 750,000
Time: 10 ---> 54
Description: DreadZone's Holoshield Launcher is a technologically improved
version of the top-selling Gadgetron item. This device allows you to
shoot out a portable shield any time and anywhere. The Holoshield's
patented quantum technology allows your shots to pass through while
blocking all enemy fire.
Recomendations: Brainwash Mod, 2 Speed Mod, 8 Ammo Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Mini-Turret Launcher ---> Quasar Turret Launcher
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 100,000 ---> 2,000,000
Damage: 50 ---> 238
Description: For this weapon, Vox Industries "borrowed" patented mini-turret
technology first developed by MegaCorp in the Bogon Galaxy. When a team
of MegaCorp lawyers came to Vox Headquarters to present ligitation they
quickly ended up as contestants on DreadZone. MegaCorp has since ceased
legal recourse.
Recomendations: Freeze Mod, 2 Speed Mod, 8 Ammo Mod
----------------------------------------------------
Harbinger ---> Supernova
----------------------------------------------------
Cost: 2,000,000 ---> 3,000,000
Damage: 5000 ---> 19967
Description: The Harbinger is Vox Industries' answer to its two biggest
competitors: the Apocolator and the RYNO. Shellshock says, "Those two
guns are like sissies. Weak sissies from the sissiest place in Sissyland."
The Harbinger, on the other hand, is the final word in gratuitous
destruction. One tap of the trigger and you'll lay a path of devastation
from here to the other end of Shadow Sector.
Recomendations: Freeze Mod, 10 Ammo Mod
---------------------------------------------------------------------
C) Mods
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mod is short for Modification (as you probably know) and are used in
this game to... you guessed it... modify your arsenal. Every weapon has
two Mod types: Omega and Alpha Mods. Omega mods are performance mods
and Alpha Mods are stat inhancers.
Below is a list of both kinds of mods... and a brief description of what
they do.
Omega Mods
----------------
Napalm - This can only be equiped to explosive type weaponry. When the
ammo detonates, pools of lava shoot out and coat nearby objects
as well as enemies, causing damage in the process.
Time Bomb - Another explosive only Mod. The Mod only activates when the
explosive makes contact with an enemy. It's like the sticky
grenades from Halo, it sticks to the enemy for a short period
of time and then explodes in a fury of fire and lightning.
Freeze - Slows down and freezes enemies solid depending on how much
endurance they have. Keep blasting with the freeze Mod and the
enemy will become a solid chunk of ice.
Mini-Bomb - Explosive Only. When the explosive detonates, homing bomblets
seek and destroy nearby enemies.
Morph - Turns enemies into decoy animals when their health reaches 0.
Brainwash - Turns enemies against each other when and if fully infected.
Acid - Enemies slowly take damage. It is a dead giveaway they're taking
damage if they're glowing green.
Shock - All adjacent enemies to the one(s) hit recieve a blast of lightning.
Alpha Mods
-----------------
Speed - Increases rate of fire
Ammo - Increases the maximum amount of ammo a weapon can hold
Aiming - Increases weapon accuracy
Impact - Increases the knock-back effect of the weapon
Area - Increases the destructive range of weapons
XP - Increases the amount of experience recieved
Jackpot - 50% more bolts dropped by enemies
NanoLeech - Causes enemies to drop nano-orbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------
D) Gadgets
---------------------------------------------------------------------
All gadgets in this game are auto-controlled by the game's intelligence
or can be directed to by way of your robot friends.
Below is a brief statement of what your robot friends do...
EMP - knocks out the 70-milimeter turrets and Landstalkers for a brief
period of time. Controlled with the Left D-Pad.
Grind Cable - shoots a cable across a gap so you can grind across.
Controlled with the Right D-Pad.
Shield Link - encase a friendly in an invulnerable shield while they do
a certain job. Controlled with the Right D-Pad.
Hacking - activate hacking orbs in order to proceed for certain objectives.
Controlled with the Right D-Pad.
Revive - restores a dead robot to full health. Controlled with the down
on the D-Pad
Ravage - have the robots unleash a bomb that emits laser beams that do
incredible damage. Filled up by taking and dealing damage.
Controlled with the Up D-Pad.
Regroup - call your robots to your side. Controlled with the Down D-Pad.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
E) Skill Points & Exterminator Cards
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ratchet: Deadlocked has a total of 165 skill points, exactly 15 for
each area. Some are very hard and some are very easy and some are very
tricky. Below are the cheats that are unlocked by getting the required
number of skill points.
Skill Points Reward
---------------- ----------
5 HUD Color
10 Gangsta Guns
15 Mirrored World
20 Remove Helmet
25 Exterminator Bot Heads
35 Super Bloom
45 Super Morphing Freeze Wrench
60 Weather
105 Kill Quark!
120 Color Blind
140 Morph Mod on Vehicles
All Cards Ninja Mode
This game also has 6 "exterminator cards," which are symbols of
accomplishments you've done throughout the game. Having all 6 cards
means you have 100% game completion.
Card Unlocked by
---------- ---------------
Shellshock Aquired every weapon and omega mod
Eviscerator Increase Nanotech to 100
Reactor Mega status on all weapons
Ace Hardlight 400,000 DreadZone Points
Slugga Completed all levels on 5-star difficulty
Gleeman Vox Obtained every skill point
Luckily this game tells you the requirements for the skill points, even
for which challenge they're on if necessary. If you can't find out which
enemy is which, (that they refer to in the planets) go into your stats
menu and kill an enemy and see, by looking at the number of kills you
have, what the name of that enemy was.
NOTE: The cheat "Kill Quark!" turns all DZ Strikers into Captain Quark,
so use that information to easily figure out which enemies are DZ
Strikers (the other kind are DZ Beserkers).
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you know you should have gotten a skill point but
didn't, try again but remove the Omega Mod. (The only skill point
I needed this for was the "In A Row" in the Valix Belt)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
F) Skins
---------------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you who don't know, skins is a term for the look of the
player in the game. An example is that Jak from the game series Jak
and Daxter is a playable skin in this game. Gameplay is the exact same
no matter who you look like.
There's a trick to buying the skins. Skins cost a certain number of
stars, right, and I found out that the connection between the stars and
the difficulty are the same thing. When you beat a level under a certain
difficulty, the corresponding stars are granted. If you beat a level
under 4 star difficulty, for example, you gain 4 stars to go buy skins.
In order to buy all the skins you need to complete every last level, even
the last 4 levels against Vox at 5 star difficulty (Exterminator).
---------------------------------------------------------------------
G) Hints & Tips
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy Bolts - This works especially well in Challenge mode because with
the bolt multiplier you can get a total of 5,000,000 bolts in 2
minutes time. Just do the End Zone dread challenge, in the Battledome,
using weapons with the shock mod attached. The best weapons for the
job are the ones with great blast diameter like the B11-Vaporizer
or the Leviathan Flail.
Easy Level 99 Weapons - Same trick as the easy bolts, play through the
End Zone dread challenge in the Battledome. If you use only one
weapon, it'll level up like crazy... my screen showed my weapon's
level was 42 but the message on the screen said it leveled up to
31!
Easy Times Going Through 5 Star Difficulty - The best trick I found to
work if i couldn't get past a very hard level was to team up with
a friend in co-op mode... and seeing as how this game can switch
between single player and co-op for the same file... you can just
savagely own everything. The best part about the co-op gaming is
both players have to be dead within a 5 second window of each other.
(+) The easiest way to get the skill points is to complete their
requirement on 1-star difficulty. 1-star may seem way too easy, but
with some skill points you need it to be as easy as it can be.
(+) When fighting a really tough enemy or enemies or boss, just remember
to set out a group of mini-turrets, even though they don't do much
damage solo, in a pack of 8 along with you wailing on the boss...
he'll fall in a matter of seconds.
NOTE: Feel free to e-mail me if you need any more hints or tips
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
II) Walkthrough
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The following is the complete walkthrough for game. I do spoil everything
so those who don't want anything spoiled, feel free to play through the
game until you get stuck and need help.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
AA) Training Area
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a very simple level, put the rectile over the first enemy,
put the rectile over the second enemy and fire, then put the rectile
on the last enemy and fire. Then you gain movement control. Jump up
the steps and Clank will power up your mini-map. Red dots are enemy
units. Shoot the 3 remaining holo-targets and activate the teleporter
to proceed. The flashing blue/white stars are important goal markers.
After the cut-scene, run across the holo-bridge and just simply shoot
or hit your enemies with your wrench to kill them. Kill all the enemies
in the area and use the teleporter and you're done with the intro.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
AB) DreadZone Station
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This place is basically your base of operations. You can buy ammo and
weapons here as well as upgrade your mechs. The game is simple, if you
see a glowing blue star, or have a world that's not checked off yet,
go to it and complete it.
First thing's first... you should notice a vendor machine infront of
you when the camera shifts to you. I'll give updates on both the robot
shop and the vendor as the guide progresses.
[Vendor]
B6-Obliterator 15,000
Acid Mod 5,000
Your first task here is to go to Al's Robot Shop and retreive your
robot friends. They'll help you through your time at DreadZone. The
robots are even costomizable too! You can buy them upgrades, heads,
and colors at alls robot vendor thing. Free means you already own them
and choosing them causes the desired change.

Next task is to go to the Mission Control Room and talk to Clank. The
game doesn't get much more complicated in DreadZone Station. You'll see
a containment shuttle land somewhere, and its located by the flashing
star on the mini-map. Go to the ship and press triangle to start the
BattleDome challenge.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
AC) Marauder
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Advanced Qualifier
------------------
For starters, just defeat the first wave of enemies to start the tutorial
of how to revive a robot. After the brief tutorial, head towards the
star and jump onto the platforms that're hovering over the lava. Kill
the waves of DZ Strikers and Bladeballs and more hover pads will appear.
Jump across the pads and destroy the next waves of enemies. The lava
gap separating the two large floors is sealed now, so cross to the other
end and defeat another series of enemies. After they're gone, press
square by the crank node and crank it until it sinks into the ground...
then you can proceed over more hover-pads.
This last part is kind of scary, there's a 70 milimeter turret at the
end of the pads with a shield surrounding it (they all do anyways). Press
Left on the D-Pad to have a robot shoot an EMP at the turret to disable
it and turn its shield off. With the turret temporarily disabled, attack
and destroy it to end the first challenge.
After another cutscene you find out about the interplanetary shuttle,
this is located where you first started in DreadZone Station. It is used
throughout the game to change planets and do campaigns and other missions.
Take the shuttle to Catacrom Four to start your very first Campaign. Or
do the 2 Dread Challenges in the Battledome.
Dread Challenge:::Grist for the Mill
-------------------------------------
Defend against the 10 rounds of opponents..... that's it
Dread Challenge:::The Big Sleep
-------------------------------
Try to show a sense of urgency for this challenge, because along with
the part of the mission (to kill all the enemies) your health is
constantly draining away. Look for nano-orbs when your health gets low.
If you're having difficulty, this can wait until later.

3) These pads look as though they turn at random, so wait until one
rotates and then quickly jump onto it... the ones that turn never turn
twice in a row
4) Defeat the enemies and observe the next set of hoverpads
5) The green pads never rotate, but do the same trick with the orange
ones and get to the next floor
6) The next set of pads (blue ones) fall after a moment from when they
have been touched, so quickly jump to the next floor
7) The final set of hoverpads goes blue-blue-orange-blue-blue, so wait
for the orange one to be facing upside-down and jump to the last floor
8) Defeat the waves of enemies
Reward = Avenger Skin
Dread Challenge:::Perfect Chrome Finish
----------------------------------------
Simple, but possibly difficult challenge, you must defeat the waves
of enemies without taking a single hit. A nice Mod for this is the
shock Mod
Dread Challenge:::Close and Personal
-------------------------------------
Another straight forward challenge, beat all the enemies using only
your wrench. If you find yourself getting low on health, do the
L2+square (throw your wrench) to stay at a distance.

------------------------
1) Tell your bots to hack the orbs and defend them
2) Go into the building and defeat the waves of enemies
3) Hack the orbs and defend the bots and yourself
4) Cross the new energy bridge and continue on
Landstalker Stalkin'
--------------------
1) When you get in the Landstalker look to your right, there's an
enemy one in the field... have the bots EMP it and then destroy it
2) Clear out the area around the node infront of you and tell your
bots to capture the node.
3) Go to the other side of the level, still in the landstalker, and
capture that node to take down the force fields of the temple. Defend
yourself as necessary against the 3 other 70 milimeter turrets
4) Eliminate the immediate threat inside the entrance to the temple
5) Go to the star on the right and capture the node, defending as needed.
6) Go to the last node on the other side of the temple and capture it
As the Wrench Turns
--------------------
1) Go up the stairs and into the temple, reveal the node, capture it
2) Go down the stairs and go all the way to the left wall and go up
the ramp
3) Clear the room and capture the node
4) Continue out of the dome, defeat the enemies around the next node,
and finally capture the node
5) Continue around the temple and capture the node
6) Use the jump pad to get up to the last node and capture it
Reward = Blue Medal
Dread Challenge:::Assault on the Frozen Tundra
-----------------------------------------------
This challenge is difficult mainly because the only weapons you can
use are the ones found throughout the area. Use the weapons freely
since they don't affect your ammo.
Go around the temple and activate the 4 nodes placed at ground level
Dread Challenge:::Shoot to Kill
--------------------------------
This mission gets incredibally difficult the higher the difficulty
setting. At 5 this is about the hardest mission. Basically you are
trapped in a self-moving landstalker that runs on a designated path.
Placed throughout the path are floating orbs that award you points for
dealing damage to them. Blue orbs give points, black orbs destroy orbs
around it (though i'm not sure whether you still get the points), and
the yellow/gold orbs gives you jackpot time. The goal is to have the
required points by the time the challenge ends. Just find the floating
orbs and blast them, along with any enemies that feel they can take a
landstalker.
Dread Challenge:::Whack-A-Swarmer
----------------------------------
THIS ONE IS FUN! You get the B6-Obliterator and the Magma Cannon to
destroy every last swarmer within the confined area. You literally have
to destroy every last swarmer too, but if you have the shock mod on
your weapon you'll find it difficult to lose.
Dread Challenge:::Robots in a Barrel
-------------------------------------
You're back in the first dome you entered when you first came to Shaar.
Basically just kill all the enemies in each wave.

-------------------
1) Head down the hill and defeat the waves of enemies
2) Hack the orbs to the left path and proceed into the next clearing
3) Defeat the DZ Strikers and hack the next barrier
4) Quickly duck behind cover and order the EMP, then destroy the ambush
turret and the rest of the enemies
5) Hack your way through the next 2 barriers
6) Defeat the enemies in the area first, then take out the Stalker
Turret (There's a single wall of light you can use as a 1-way shield).
7) Hack through the next set of orbs
8) Defeat the wave of swarmers and hack the last orbs
Node Overload
--------------
1) Use the jump pad to get to the upper level
2) Destroy the evil landstalker and head to the first node
3) Destroy the enemies around the 1st node and capture it
4) Do the same thing to the next 5 nodes and you win (pretty simple huh?)
TIP: It'll save you some time if YOU capture the 6 nodes because then
you'll get a skill point
Refinery Ambush
----------------
1) Hack all of the orbs in the room ahead of you while defending your
robots (3 sets of 4 orbs)
Chains of Villainy
------------------
1) EMP the evil landstalker and destroy it with yours
2) Use the mortar launcher to destroy the link of those balloon-looking
things.
3) Place your landstalker in the middle of the nearest gate opening and
fire some mortars at the link of that balloon (that way you don't get
ambushed).
4) Head left from there, back in the first room, and go through that
direction's gateway
5) Defeat the nearby enemies and destroy the link to the balloon, then
jump across to the other side of land with your landstalker
6) Peak around the next corner and just target the link to the last
balloon and destroy it to win
Reward = Blue Medal
Dread Challenge:::Swarming the Gauntlet
----------------------------------------
You're back in the labyrinth of death and your only goal is to go
around the labyrinth killing the required number of enemies with your
weapons restricted to the ones you find. The time given to you should
be enough if you keep moving from one room to the next. The shock mod
also helps here.
Dread Challenge:::Scoring with the Blarg
-----------------------------------------
Same thing as on Shaar, you're in an automatic landstalker with controls
only on the turret part and you need to score the required amount of
points by destroying the floating orbs. Enemies will also attack you
here, so destroy them so you don't lose to having 0 health.

-----------------
1) This one I think is extremely fun, the only thing you need to do
is defeat wave after wave of enemies using the hunter mine launcher with
auto-restoring ammo!
Marathon
---------
1) This mission has a sense of urgency planned into it, seeing as how
you have a time limit. Quickly open the node up and have the bots capture
it while you clear the room of enemis.
2) With the node captured, use the light beam things as a grind rail
and grind to the next area
3) This area's the same thing, open the node, capture it, move on to the
next one
4) Opening the 3 nodes makes the hoverpads over the lava stuff appear,
so go across them and take the last node
Reactor Battle
---------------
The goal of this battle is to defeat Reactor and that's it. He has a
good number of moves that do considerable damage but are easy to evade.
Attack 1: Palm Lasers (shows you his hand)
Attack 2: Dashing Hit (rev's up his foot like a bull)
Attack 3: Radiation Waves (glowing blue hands)
If I forgot any moves its because i kill him too quickly, the leviathan
flail and holoshield do good as a team for me.
Reward = Crusader skin
Dread Challenge:::Zombie Attack
-------------------------------
The only available weapons are the ones you find (they respawn too) and
your goal is to survive the 2 minutes of zombie madness (Executioners
come in for about the last 45 seconds).
NOTE: The big targeting symbols on the floor mean that's where the explosive
barrels will land... and they do damage if they land on you.
Dread Challenge:::Heavy Metal
------------------------------
Defeat the waves of increasing size enemies and thats it. You'll also
notice the little rod things protruding from the ground, the rings
they emit do damage and can be shut off with an EMP.
Dread Challenge:::Endzone
--------------------------
This challenge is only hard if you don't know how it works. There's a
barrier behind you when it starts up and your job is to make sure the
massive groups of swarmers never cross the barrier. This can be solved
with a simple shock mod and leviathan flail or well placed holoshields
with shock Mod.

---------------
1) Head down the hill and clear out the swarmers and DZ Strikers
2) Have a bot shoot a grind cable while you take out the dropship attacking
him
3) Grind across and clear the area of enemies
4) Grind again to the next area and clear it
5) Jump across both sets of hoverpads and clear the corridor of the DZ
strikers
6) Shoot another grind cable and proceed across the gap
7) Destroy the ambushing enemies and cross the energy bridge
8) Proceed into the hanger, destroy all the enemies, and capture the node
Space Ace
----------
Using the hovercraft, destroy the enemies in the area of where the stars
are located... thats it. The flying enemies are just candy for you to
munch on, they don't HAVE to be killed... but you'll probably do it anyway.
Power Up!
---------
1) Clear the DZ Strikers from ahead of you and head into the building
2) Clear the area of enemies and hack the orbs by the top of the ramps
3) Work your way over to the next building
4) Enter the building and hack the orbs within
5) Defeat the 2 Executioners that ambush you from behind and continue
on with the mission
6) Defeat the enemies guarding the light pillar and step into it
Let the Light Shine Through
----------------------------
1) Destroy the enemies before you and swingshot over the gap
2) Destroy the drop ships and executioner and then shoot a grind
cable the clear the next gap
3) Continue forward and take the elevator up, then swingshot to the next
area
4) Defeat the enemies and grind cable your way to the next area
5) Fight your way over to, around, and then into the building
6) Capture the last node
Rewards = Gold Medal & Gravity Boots
Dread Challenge:::Time Extension
---------------------------------
This is a more 3D version of the hoverbike races... you're now piloting
the hovercraft and you must fly through the pre-determined rings. This
is easy as long as you focus on the rings.
Dread Challenge:::Your Land is My Land
---------------------------------------
1) Fight into the building and capture the node at the top of the ramps.
2) Fight your way to the other building, capturing the node in the
process.
3) Head into the building and capture the node

Hoverbike or Bust
------------------
1) Carefully move ahead and EMP and destroy the 70 milimeter turret
along with the other enemies
2) Hack the 2 orbs attached to the turrets remains and proceed up the
hill and toward the Ace Hardlight statue
3) Look down from the top of the hill, on the other side, and observe
the enemy numbers... there should be another 70 milimeter turret too
4) EMP and destroy the turret and defend the bots as they hack the orbs
5) Head into the building on the left, destroy the turret in there, and
hack the last 2 orbs
Seek and Destroy
-----------------
This mission is pretty simple for an idea, there are 12 drones racing
around and you have to use the hoverbike and its lasers to destroy them.
The drones follow the exact same path the entire game, so if you're
wondering where they are, look on the map and where you've seen them before.
It takes several shots to blow them up, so be patient.
The Turn On
-----------
1) Kill the Exterminator infront of you and proceed into the building
2) When you get in the building take a left, you'll see an opening for
a room with a node in it.
3) Capture the node while defending the bots and destroying the ambushes
4) Continue down the hallway until you come to another room with a node
in it.
5) Capture the node and fight your way out of the building
6) Go across the field and into the opposite building
7) Head toward the direction of the last star until you find yourself
outside
8) You'll notice the node is about a floor higher than you, but when
you proceed further you'll enter another building and there is a
large ramp to the left
9) Never mind the dome-barrier and head left and onto the catwalk thing.
10) Move over to the node and capture it
Blast of Fresh Air
-------------------
1) Exit the building and destroy the 70 milimeter turret
2) Head up the hill and have the bots set charges on the Ace Hardlight
statue
3) When the statue blows up, you win
Reward = Gold Medal
Dread Challenge:::Turret Trouble
---------------------------------
In my opinion, the trouble with this turret is that you can't get out
to kick the enemies butts. The name of this game is to defend the turret
using its cannons... sounds simple but you'll be attacked from both sides.
If you have a friend, co-op makes this much easier.

Eviscerator Battle
-------------------
This is another arena boss just like Reactor and Shellshock... only
this time you're up against a very fast opponent. Keep in motion and
jump when needed to evade his attacks.

Attack 2: Punch
Attack 3: Laser Beam
Attack 4: Shield Links himself and summons peons
Attack 5: Needle Missiles [stick in ground and explode]

--------------------------------
1) Grind the laser rail and into the tower area
2) Jump the set of hoverpads and up to the next level (every other pad
has the upside-down thing)
3) Swingshot over to the next set of hoverpads (there's even a swingshot
orb in the middle of the hoverpads too
4) Use the laser grind rail at the top to go to the next area
5) Time the swingshot to the turning hover pad and ascend to the top
floor
6) Take the laser grind rails to the final floor and defeat the waves
of enemies (when you get to the point where there's 3 rails, stick to
the rail on the far right)
Dread Challenge:::The Corkscrew
--------------------------------
1) Defeat the enemies in the area and make all of the floating balls
turn green by hitting them (sets up the laser grind rail)
2) Take the laser grind rail into the next area
3) Same thing here, clear the enemies and activate the orbs, then take
the rail to the next area

Junking the Jammers
--------------------
1) Defeat the annoying swarmers and look at the shield infront of you.
On the left and right of the sheild emitter are energy box things...
use the landstalker's mortars to blow them to pieces and disable the
barrier
2) Continue down the path until you come to another barrier. Again, blow
up the power generator things to put down the barrier.
3) Go down a little further and blow up the only energy generator for
the 3rd barrier
4) Proceed to the big building thing infront of you, destroying everyone
in your wake
5) The tower/building thing has 4 generators (1 on each side) recessed
into them a little bit. You have to blow them up from a good distance
because getting next to them means you'd fall to your death.
Energy Collector
-----------------
1) Use the jump pad infront of you to get to the upper levels
2) Destroy the invading enemies and protect a bot as it captures a node
3) Swingshot over to the other tower and capture its node
4) Shoot a grind cable over to the next tower and capture its node
5) Finally, locate the grind rail and grind over to the last node and
capture it (you'll have to swingshot at the end of the rail)
Shields Up!
-----------
To your lower right there's a building with a ton of hack orbs going
all the way around it. Feel free to use the hovership to clear the
area but you can also go on foot if that's easier for you. To beat the
challenge just hack all the orbs.
Shield Survival
----------------
Enemies will attack the shield generator (the big building you're in)
and your job is to stop them. Use the mini-map/radar to find and stop
them by any means necessary.
Reward = Black Medal

--------------
1) Drive forward and you'll see the pillar of light signalling a goal
objective is near by.

3) Heal the Puma at the healing pad if you need to, then continue on
to the next node and capture it
4) Drive toward the next star on the map and capture the final node
5) Drive to the final star on the map and enter the building via the

2) Hack the orbs and defend the bots
3) Head out the new opening and destroy the 70 mm turret
4) Turn right and EMP the dome barrier, then proceed into the building
5) Hack the 4 orbs and go into the next area (with the grind cable)
Showdown in Delta Block
------------------------
1) Jump onto the lower level and destroy all of the enemies
2) Stand on the button to lower your 2nd bot and free him... but you
must stay on the button until he's released.
3) Once the bot is released, take down the remaining waves of enemies
4) Leave the prison
Reward = Black Medal

Dread Challenge:::Less is More
-------------------------------
Go all out in this challenge because your ammo and health are constantly

smaller too, so eliminate the enemies as fast as you can while not being
too trigger happy to waste all of your ammo.

2) Grind to the next area, capture its node and defend the bots
3) Repeat step two until you complete the challenge
Running the Gauntlet
---------------------
1) Go into the building infront of you and take the node
2) There are 3 more nodes that make a circle around the building, so
each time you capture a node, take a left and go to the next one until
all 4 nodes are captured
3) Head to the side of the tower you're in that's facing the only star
left on the mini-map
4) Swingshot across to the other tower and capture the node located in

2) From there, go through the door the Executioner was infront of and
keep going down the halls until the hall is blocked by a barrier.
3) Look to the right and walk up the walls and into the next room
4) Destroy the equipment in the room

-------
You have two objectives for this mission:
1) Destroy the 9 70 mm turrets

are right next to others too)
Both objectives take place in the hovercraft and are indicated on the
map by the blue/white flashing stars

will attack you while the bot is placing the bomb)
2) Continue down the hallway and jump across the flipping hoverpads
3) Hack the door at the end of the corridor
4) Destroy the 70mm Turret and take the elevator up to the next floor
5) Fight your way to the grind cable and cross the gap
6) Head into the room and keep telling your bots to set bombs while you
guard them from the enemies
!) The laser beam emitters attached to the ceiling can be easily destroyed
if you find yourself losing more health to them than the enemies
7) When all 4 bombs are set the middle column explodes
Destroy the West Generator
---------------------------
!) 10 minute timer again
1) Hack the doors, proceed into the next area and destroy the 2 evil
landstalkers
2) Continue into the next area and capture the node while defending
yourself and the bots
3) Run down the corridor (kill the snipers if you want) and turn at
the left and ascend up via the elevator
4) Destroy the couple enemies and cross the 2 sets of hoverpads
5) Continue your path and destroy the door while defending your bots
6) Same as last time, tell your bots to plant charges on the middle
column and protect them while they do it. (holoshields really help
here)
Destroy the Central Core

!) 10 minute timer AGAIN
1) Go forward and jump off the ledge
2) Proceed down the hallway and capture the node
3) Continue onward and cross the gap using the grind cable
4) Blow down the door, clear the room of enemies, and destroy the 70mm
turret up ahead
5) Continue down the hallway and hack open the next door
6) Destroy the 70mm turret in this room
7) Plant the charges on the generator and protect your bots
Defeat Gleeman Vox
-------------------
This is the last boss fight in the game and possibly the hardest too.
If you have any level 10 weapons, now would be a good time to use them.
Attack 1: Laser Beam emitted from the arms
Attack 2: Shoots green balls that summon ghost enemies
Attack 3: Drops black/gold orbs that morph into spider-bots
Attack 4: Releases glowing blue spores that explode upon impact with
the floor... indicated by the target rectile on the floor
Attack 5: Sucks up something and fires it at you, sends shockwaves when
it hits the floor
Reward = Challenge Mode availability
FUNNY NOTE: After the credits you see a movie showing the progress of
the main boss from Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal... and he can't
be any more miserable. Hahaha
After all is said and done the game will ask you if you would like to
start over but this time on Challenge Mode: Enemies have higher health
and deal more damage, but....... you can get the most kick butt stuff
the universe has ever seen... the Mega stage weapons. Another perk of
Challenge Mode is that you get a bolt mulitplier. What it does, is when
you kill an enemy or enemies you'll see a number gradually get bigger
thats located right next to your bolt thing in the upper right hand corner.
The number you see is how many times the bolts you get. The only bad thing
is that when you get hit, the generator goes back to x1. The generator
luckily maxes out at x20 bolts... yeah, I know what you're thinking...
that is a ton of bolts.
NOTE: Keep in mind that you can only buy the Mega versions if you have
the weapon at lvl 10 first.
