Welcome back to the "Stylish-Hard" action series. After the biggest
fluke in gaming history known as Devil May Cry 2, the only thing left
for our Hero Dante was retribution. Never again will you doubt the
power of the Devil.

THIS IS GONNA BE ONE HELL OF A PARTY MACHINE!

***********************

INTRODUCTION

***********************

Thanks for clicking on the FAQ. This guide will chronicle every boss in
the game. I will list all the attacks they inflict and how to dodge
them. All boss strategies and tactics I mention here all apply to Dante
Must Die Mode only! Not Easy, Normal, Hard, or Heaven and Hell Modes,
DMD MODE ONLY!

First of all, if you have not finished (or even started) Dante Must Die
Mode, please DO NOT continue reading the FAQ from this point for fear
of me spoiling the fun!

Only the Hardest of Hardcore Devils may pass!

If you're Hardcore and are up for the biggest and baddest Party this
side of Hell, you're up for a treat!

What is Dante Must Die Mode?
DMD Mode is the highest and most insane difficulty Mode before the
insanely absurd Heaven Or Hell Mode.
All enemies that aren't killed within 20-30 seconds will start glowing
in a blue aura, making it more difficult to kill them.

All bosses are tuned to Super-Cheapness Mode and will inflict every
attack they can (just because they can!) in rapid succession without
hesitation or care for balance issues. These bosses don't give a two-
bit crap about timing their attacks and neither should you! IT'S DMD
MODE, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!?!

If you can't handle that aspect, DMD Mode is NOT for you. Stick with
Easy Automatic until you've improved your skills.

How do I unlock DMD Mode?
To unlock DMD Mode, you must finish Hard Mode. To unlock Hard Mode, you
need to complete the game on Normal or Easy difficulty.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

--Before encountering DMD Mode, let me make a few necessary
suggestions: upgrade all your Weapons and Guns, max out all four
Styles, and find every Blue Orb.
You want to ensure that Dante is fully powered and ready to go as soon
as you enter DMD Mode.

--Nothing is half-assed in DMD Mode. You'll need a LOT of patience,
quick fingers, and skill to ensure that nothing you do gets to the
point of utter frustration. Bosses aren't the problem in DMD Mode, it's
the enemies during the Missions that DT themselves that make it even
more difficult.

--I encourage you to use whatever Style you are comfortable with.
But to get the most out of all the boss battles, I suggest using
SwordMaster Style each time. With this Style, you'll inflict tons of
damage with regular and special Combos.

--Use Devil Trigger whenever you want. I won't always mention when to
use DT in the strategies but it's your choice if you want to use it.

--The best firearms to equip in DMD Mode are Ebony & Ivory and Kalina
Ann. I don't (and can't) recommend Spiral, Artemis, or the Shotgun for
any boss battles.

--These strategies are semi-bulletproof for now. When followed
properly, you'll minimize the amount of damage you take and won't have
to use too many (or hopefully, no) Vital Stars.

If the strategies I mention here aren't as informative as you first
thought, it's because I'm still trying to find the "perfect strategy"
where Dante takes absolutely NO damage at all so bear with me (I'm
playing DMD Mode for corn's sake, gimme a break! Let's see YOU try and
get past that goddamn Chessboard in Mission 18!).

I'm ALSO under the assumption that you HAVEN'T unlocked Super Dante
(via button cheat - hint, hint) so don't get ahead of yourself!
Now that you're fully prepared, are you ready for the Hardcore Party?

THEN LET'S GET THE PARTY MACHINE ROLLING!

This boss (soon to be regular enemy) is super cheap if you didn't
already know. Its teleport attacks can be dodged but it's difficult to
tell from which direction most of the time.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--CERBERUS

--KALINA ANN
--EBONY & IVORY
--ARTEMIS

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--SCYTHE SWIPE
--TELEPORT UPPERCUT

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--TELEPORT ATTACK

FAR ATTACKS:
NONE

DMD BOSS TACTIC:
None that I've seen. This boss is essentially the same cheap piece of
crap for all difficulties.

BEST TIME TO STRIKE:
--When up-close to the boss. At this distance, the HV will continue
doing its swipe attack. Simply dodge once or twice and slam it with a
Combo and Stinger attack. Repeat as necessary.

Why stay up close? When Dante is in melee range, the HV will cease
doing its Teleport attacks (at least 75% of the time anyway) and will
just keep trying to swipe him with the scythe.

You'll need to be on your toes with the evasion button to get a hit in
with this boss. Also equip SwordMaster Style to inflict the most amount
of damage towards it.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--AGNI & RUDRA
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--PAW SWIPE

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--ICE COLD BREATH
--ICICLE HOWL
--ICICLE PAW SLAM

FAR ATTACKS:
--CERBERUS TACKLE
--ICEBERG HOWL

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Cerberus tends to inflict all of its attacks faster. (God forbid, you
stand in a corner and shoot E&I because you won't take damage, hint
hint.)
Cerberus also regenerates the ice on its heads faster if you don't
attack or shoot at it enough.
Also, after destroying both heads, Cerberus will continue doing its
tackle more frequently.

EVASION TACTICS:
All of its Icicle attacks can be evaded using quick rolls or by running
in the opposite direction. Also note that Dante can attack the Icicles
to avoid damage.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
At the beginning of the fight, target any of its legs and slash away.
Dodge all attacks and slash away at its feet until it keels over. From
there, run up to its head and slash away. Dante can only do this 2-3
times total before the strategy changes.

BOSS AT 75-50 PERCENT HEALTH:
You need to start getting in close and slashing at its heads. Target
whichever head is in the middle and slash it with an Aerial Rave combo.
Dodge its Ice attacks and continue slashing away with the Aerial Rave
until you destroy any of the heads.

BOSS AT 25-50 PERCENT HEALTH:
Its attacks become more frequent and come a lot faster so be evasive.
Continue using the Aerial Rave until another head is destroyed. From
there, the rest of the fight is spent dodging its Icicle Howls. Again,
use Aerial Raves on the last head to finish it off.

Equip SwordMaster Style here. You'll need as much combos as you can get
for this fight. Apparently, Cerberus tends to inflict more damage than
Rebellion, so stick with Cerberus for this battle.

BEST WEAPONS:
--CERBERUS
--REBELLION

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--NONE

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--MULTIPLE PURPLE ENERGY ORBS
--MULTIPLE ELECTRICITY BOLTS

FAR ATTACKS:
--SAME AS ABOVE

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Giga will begin casting off Orbs or Bolts from EVERY part of its body.
In other difficulties, it would only cast from specific areas of its
body. Need lots of rolling to avoid its crap.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
The best vantage point for the entire fight is at the starting point
from where Dante is standing (in front of the red entrance door). When
the fight begins, jump on top of Giga and pound it with continuous
Cerberus combos until it enters the hole at the other end.
Repeat the strategy when it comes out of the hole. Dante can only do
this 2-3 times before its pattern changes.

BOSS AT 75-25 PERCENT HEALTH:
The strategy from above still applies but the boss will begin twisting
and turning its body causing Dante to fall to lower ground every time
he gets on it.
From the ground, attack it with a Revolver combo from under its body.
Evade all its Energy attacks and continue jumping on it from above. Do
this for the rest of the battle.

Use any Style and Weapons you see fit for this battle. My favorite is
Cerberus for its long range Revolver Combo.

BEST WEAPONS:
--CERBERUS
--REBELLION
--BEOWULF

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--SWORD SWIPE

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--RUNNING ATTACK

FAR ATTACKS:
--JUMPING ATTACK

DMD BOSS TACTICS (AGNI & RUDRA):
None that I've seen. These two inflict the same attacks and follow the
same pattern from all difficulties.

EVASION TACTICS:
The only attack that Dante needs to be aware of is the jumping attack.
Use the roll or jump back to avoid damage. Other than that, just run
around (that's what these two bosses are doing).

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
The Revolver combo is the MAIN key in DMD Mode for this battle. The key
to successfully getting lots of hits is to do a continuous Revolver.
When the swords clang (you know, when they block), Dante can still do a
Revolver counter in mid-air and shave off lots of HP. The more Dante
does this, the faster they will fall.
This is all you really need to do for this battle.

AGNI (OR) RUDRA

MAIN ATTACKS:
--HURRICANE ATTACK
--INFERNO ATTACK
--A&R SONIC BOOM

DMD BOSS TACTIC (AGNI):
If you killed Rudra, Agni will begin doing Inferno attacks like crazy
in an up and down pattern with Rudra's sword.
Here's how to avoid damage: Agni throws Inferno from above then below
in succession. Simply jump when he throws low and then roll when he
throws high. From there you can pile on more Revolver and Flicker
combos until it perishes. DMD Mode, RED BITCH!

DMD BOSS TACTIC (RUDRA):
If you killed Agni, Rudra will do TWO attacks like crazy with Agni's
sword. To avoid the Hurricane, roll back once to avoid damage. To avoid
its A&R sonic attacks, roll left and right. You know what to do here.
DMD Mode, BLUE BITCH!

MMMMM     MMM         MMM    MM   MMMM   MMM  MMMM   MMMM
MMM      MMMMMMMMMM  MMM    MM    MMMMMMMM   MMMM   MMMMMMMMM

Deciding the Style for this battle can be hard to choose. The best
Style is SwordMaster Style but Vergil uses Trickster Style to his
advantage. The choice is up to you.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--EBONY & IVORY
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS
--DIE!

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS
--TELEPORT & SLICE

FAR ATTACKS:
--YAMATO ORB SLICER
--YAMATO CIRCLE

EVASION TACTICS:
Instead of telling you how to beat Vergil, I will tell you how to evade
his attacks. It's up to you to attack him. It's DMD Mode! Let's see YOU
make it this far!

To evade his "DIE!" and Teleport attacks, use the Stinger. Dante will
go right through and can slash Vergil if successful. Sometimes the
Stinger will stop Vergil in his tracks allowing for more hits.
And at times, doing this will CLANG swords allowing for a clean
evasion. Either way, the Stinger is the main key to not getting sliced
cheaply by Vergil.

To evade his Orb attacks (where he throws black orbs around Dante),
Roll or run away. When he starts throwing multiple Orbs, keep on
rolling to avoid damage.

The Yamato circular attacks are hard to dodge because they home in on
Dante 100% of the time. Your best bet is to get in close to Vergil and
pound on him while the swords are rotating around Dante. Sometimes the
swords dissipate and sometimes they don't.
(If anyone knows how to counter this, please e-mail me and let me
know.)

NOTE: After each attack Vergil does, he is ALWAYS vulnerable for a few
seconds so take advantage of this opportunity. If Dante is near him, he
can get free hits until Vergil recovers.

MM   MM  MM      MM MM  MM   MM   MM   MM      MM    MM MM   MM M
MM   MM  MMMMMM MM   MM MM   MM   MM    MMMMMM   MMMM   MM   MM MMMMMM

You'll need a weapon that can shave off enough HP while also hitting
the enemies that flock you from every direction. Cerberus is that
weapon.

BEST WEAPONS:
--CERBERUS
--BEOWULF
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS
--ENVY (RESPAWNING)

MID-RANGE ATTACKS:
--DEVIL TRIGGER ABSORB

FAR ATTACKS:
--RED BEAM

DMD BOSS TACTIC:
After depleting a side heart's HP, the main Heartcore will ALWAYS open
up and shoot multiple red beams first before anything. In other
difficulties, it would randomly shoot beams during specific moments.

BOSS FIGHT:
The best strategy is to attack the side Heart on the right with
continuous Flicker & Revolver combos. The Revolver combo has a wide hit
radius and is best against the Envy.

When the side Heart's HP depletes, the main Heartcore opens up and
shoots Red Beams clearing the room for you. Jump to evade damage and
then shoot Kalina Ann bullets at it before it closes.
When the main Heartcore opens again, run up to it and pound it with
every Cerberus combo until it closes. Repeat the strategy for the
entire battle.

++ALTERNATIVE STRATEGY:
A Level 3 Rising Dragon + Spinning Kick with Beowulf will shave off
nearly 25-35% in one blow. I only consider this an alternative because
this move takes WAAAY too much time to execute.

For this battle, you'll need to equip weapons that are long range.
Cerberus and Rebellion are the only two choices so stick with those two
for the fight. Use whatever Style you see fit for this battle.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--CERBERUS
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--LIGHTNING STRIKE
--BAT WHIRLWIND

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--ELECTRIC BATS
--BAT SPIKES
--ELECTRIC BOLTS
--ELECTRIC SPHERE

FAR DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--ELECTRIFIED FLOOR

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
None that I've seen. Nevan still inflicts the same attacks and follows
the same pattern from previous difficulties.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
Nevan herself is not a strong opponent. Whenever she is open to attack,
she CANNOT counter! Remember that when fighting her!

The main strategy is to bring Nevan down from the Bat perch she is
standing on. Get in close and start hacking at the bats that surround
her. Once she is exposed, have Dante bring the pain. After 2-3 full
combos, she re-materializes and the tactic starts all over again.

(SECRET STRATEGY): To shorten the time it takes to hack at the bats
surrounding Nevan, use 2-3 Kalina Ann bullets and she immediately
becomes exposed (!) for counterattacks.

BOSS AT 75-50 PERCENT HEALTH:
Nevan will begin using her Bat Whirlwind attack whenever she re-
materializes. If Dante gets close, he WILL get hit so keep your
distance. She will also begin using Electrical attacks instead of Bats
in this point of the battle. Use simple evasion and continue the
strategy above.

BOSS AT 50-25 PERCENT HEALTH:
As her health depletes even further, Nevan will start forming an
Electrical sphere around herself. When she does this attack, she is
unprotected and is completely vulnerable to attack.
Activate Devil Trigger and Dante will go right through the sphere and
can slash at her without problems. Continue using Devil Trigger from
this point to slash her last bits of health.

This boss fight uses the tactic of pure evasion. Since all of Beowulf's
attacks are more up close and personal, equip whichever weapon and
Style you like. For Style choice, you can try Trickster but I prefer
Doppelganger for twice the melee damage.

BEST WEAPONS:

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:

--WOLF QUAKE
--WOLF SPHERE

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--PILLAR DECOYS
--HOMING LASER WINGS

FAR DISTANCE ATTACKS:

--WOLF SLAM

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Beowulf tends to do his Pillar Decoy attacks like crazy and run around
like a pussycat on crack. If you're using Trickster, I suggest you
abuse your evasive moves.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH (THROUGHOUT):
Every attack Beowulf does should be evaded before countering.
There is no special strategy to defeating Beowulf, all you really need
to do is get up close and start hacking away at every chance you get.

Evade, counter, evade, counter. You get the strategy.

It is essential that you use Rebellion and Ebony & Ivory and
SwordMaster Style for this battle. Although it seems that the Trickster
Style is necessary for avoiding Geryon's attacks, it isn't.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--CERBERUS
--EBONY & IVORY
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MAIN ATTACK: QUICKSILVER

MELEE ATTACKS:
--CARRIAGE TRAMPLE
--GERYON STOMP

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--CARRIAGE MISSILES
--CARRIAGE 360 SPIN
--QUICKSILVER ORBS + SPEARS

FAR DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--CARRIAGE MISSILES

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Geryon still inflicts the same attacks from previous difficulties.
But the one attack it does more frequently is its Quicksilver Orbs. It
can throw anywhere from 5-6 Orbs at one time when Dante is running
around trying to follow it. If you get caught, get ready to dodge like
8-9 Spears.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
When the battle begins, evade all the Missiles and get out of the way
as it runs through the bridge.
Pump as much lead into it while avoiding its missiles. When it stops to
catch its breath, jump in and begin slashing at its head with the
Aerial Rave combo. You DO NOT need to target its head, just jump in and
start slashing away.
When it keels over, keep slashing away at it. From there, it'll use
Quicksilver to escape. When it re-emerges during Quicksilver, run (NOT
ROLL) out of the way to avoid being trampled. Keep the strategy going
until a cutscene occurs.

BOSS AT 75-50 PERCENT HEALTH:
Once you are inside the Arena, run around in circles with the Carriage
while avoiding Missiles.

++NOTE:
Dante will be unharmed by Missile fire if he is in Devil Trigger Mode
but can still take damage if he's jumping away from them.

Like the strategy mentioned above, the best time to strike is when it
stops for breath. Slash away at its head with the Aerial Rave for
maximum damage. When it keels over, slash away and expect a Quicksilver
for its counter. Simply run out of the way. Repeat.

BOSS AT 50-25 PERCENT HEALTH:
Once its health whittles down considerably, Geryon will start throwing
Quicksilver Orbs, stomping the ground, and firing missiles at the same
time. As I mentioned above, stick with using Aerial Raves and evasion
to finish the fight.

++ALTERNATE STRATEGY:
If you are using Trickster Style, it is possible to intercept Geryon as
it circles the Arena and jump onto the Carriage itself. When standing
on the top of the Carriage, slash away at the Carriage itself to reduce
Geryon's health.
This tactic is probably the easiest and best way to defeat Geryon in
DMD Mode if the Aerial Rave tactic is too hard to pull off.

++STRANGE DMD STRATEGY:
As I fought Geryon for the umpteenth time, I found a specific weak
spot: Geryon's big blue ass. When it stopped to catch its breath, I
accidentally jumped in between Geryon and the Carriage and started
slashing away.
So what's the big deal? As you slash Geryon's ass, it CANNOT counter
with its stomps or the Carriage and can only use Quicksilver to get
away. And if you successfully do a Level 3 Rising Dragon + Spin Kick
with Beowulf, all I got to say is WOW!

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
None that I've seen. He still does the same Yamato and Beowulf attacks
and is a little easier to beat in DMD Mode. YES, I SAID EASIER!

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH:
Since Vergil uses Beowulf, his attacks resort to up-close combat. Use a
double-jump backwards to avoid his Combos. After each missed Combo he
does, Dante can butt in and slash away until Vergil blocks. (That's a
lot of damage to Vergil, y'know!)

BOSS AT 75-50 PERCENT HEALTH:
During this point of the fight, Vergil will use the Homing Kick attack.
Again, when you see him teleport, just jump back to avoid his kick and
then slash away like a madman.
About halfway though the battle, Vergil will stop and activate Devil
Trigger for the first time. During this time, avoid attacking him and
evade his counters. When he turns off DT, resume the same strategy.

BOSS AT 50-25 PERCENT HEALTH:
As his health decreases, Vergil stops using Beowulf and resorts back to
his old Yamato attacks. Again, like in the first battle, use the
Stinger to avoid his Teleport attacks then slash away at him.

As much as you'd think that the Gunslinger Style would be useful here,
it isn't. Guns don't seem to be of any use in this battle (not even
using the Kalina Ann works in this fight).

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:

--BOMBS AWAY

FAR DISTANCE ATTACKS:

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Lady throws lots more grenades. That's it. I got nothing else to say.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH (THROUGHOUT):
Lady announces her big attacks each time ("Alright", "Are you ready?"
etc.). All you need to do is catch up with her and then slam a Stinger
in her face. Usually, Dante can do two Stingers (and maybe a Combo)
before Lady counters with her ultra-cheap knife throws (which can be
avoided by slashing at them).

When she busts out the Kalina Ann, you can either try and get in close
and smack her with combos (to stop her) or hide behind a wall to avoid
fire.

When she tosses her grenades, run (DON'T ROLL) out of the way and try
and catch up with her. As her health decreases, Lady slows down her
attacks and starts running away from Dante. Catch up to her and attack
at every moment you get.

Use any Style and weapon you see fit for this battle. All that matters
is that you bring the pain.

BEST WEAPON:

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--VARIES

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--VARIES

FAR ATTACKS:
--SHADOW BLAST

**The weapons that your Shadow uses depend on the weapons Dante
equipped before the battle.

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
None that I've seen. It still does the same Shadow blasts and the same
"sneak-up-behind-Dante" trick.

EVASION TACTICS:
As you strike each "eyelid" open, the Shadow will try to sneak in some
Trickster and Combo attacks from behind. Each time you attack the
"eyelids", wait for the Shadow to sneak up and simply jump up to avoid
getting hit. When it misses, it backs away allowing Dante to strike the
"eyelids" until they open.
Usually, the Shadow will try the same attack again but will end up
being exposed to the brightness by the time it gets close. When the
Shadow writhes back in pain, execute 1-2 Combos of your choice and
immediately move on to the next "eyelid".

If the Shadow is not close by when the "eyelid" opens, ignore it and
keep attacking the others. The whole point of the battle is to open
EVERY lid and brighten the entire Arena. Do this for the entire battle.

I absolutely URGE that you equip Rebellion, Kalina Ann, and SwordMaster
Style for this battle. You'll need lots of heavy Combos and firepower
for this.

BEST WEAPONS:
--REBELLION
--KALINA ANN

BOSS ATTACKS

MELEE ATTACKS:
--LEFT AND RIGHT SWIPE

MID-DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--UNDERGROUND TENTACLES

FAR DISTANCE ATTACKS:
--DEMON FISH (?)

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Arkham summons more Demon fish to help his sorry ass. Other than that,
no specific DMD Mode changes were made to him.

BOSS AT FULL HEALTH (PART 1):
I strongly urge that you abuse the Aerial Rave combo on this boss
throughout the first half of the fight. The advantage here is that
Dante will not get countered from the ground if he's airborne dishing
out damage.

For the fish (?), the best way to kill multiple hordes is to quickly
jump back, then target and blast with the Kalina Ann. Repeat nonstop
until Arkham materializes again. Whittle his health down to 50% to
trigger the next scene.

BOSS AT 50 PERCENT HEALTH (PART 2):
From here, Vergil will join the fight. The team-up with Vergil is sort
of like using Doppelganger Style only without Devil Trigger.
Slash away at Arkham from the ground (there's no other choice since you
can't use special Combos or Devil Trigger).

When Arkham grabs Dante, you briefly control Vergil's actions until
Dante is released.
For the fish, use the Kalina Ann strategy but let Vergil do most of the
damage. Trust me, he's better at it than you are.
Once that's done, keep slashing away at Arkham until it dies.

BROTHERLY LOVE:
For control of Vergil's actions, hook up a second controller to the PS2
and press the START BUTTON for some hot Vergil, Dante, and Arkham
sandwich action. The camera stays behind Dante only, so expect a little
confusion (the Camera only moves behind Vergil if Dante is grabbed by
Arkham).

BOSS ATTACKS

Vergil brings on a few new attacks since Mission 14.
Unfortunately, the Stinger strategies from the last two battles seldom
work anymore so try not to use it too much. If you do, you'll end up
seeing why (in a painful way).

MELEE ATTACKS:
--STINGER
--DOWNWARD STRIKE
--BLAST/OFF
--HUNDRED BLACK ORB SLASH

DMD BOSS TACTICS:
Vergil maintains his usual Yamato attacks and abuses them to a great
degree. He also uses the Force Edge to a ridiculous extent. (He can do
3 combos in one for corn's sake!)
He can also do his Blast/Off attack 20x in a row without flinching. If
he connects just once, Dante is basically finished.
His Hundred Orb attack is ridiculous! How the hell are you supposed to
dodge 30-40 Black Orbs? *COUGHquicksilverCOUGH*
And his Devil Trigger, what a complete piece of cheapness.

BEST TIME TO STRIKE BACK:
What I'll do is give the exact best moment when to counter Vergil
without taking damage.

--After he casts his multiple Yamato Orb attack. When he starts
throwing the Orbs immediately run up to him and start slamming away
until he blocks.

--When he re-materializes after the Hundred Orb attacks (when he throws
multiple Orbs at the same time). When he re-appears, you'll see him
slowly sheathing his sword. Immediately run up to him and slash away.
You can shave off about 10% before he blocks.

--Whenever he misses a Combo. This is a rare and hard to accomplish
goal. Usually when Dante evades any of Vergil's combos, Dante is too
far to counter. But if Dante happens to be nearby, Vergil is always
open to attack.

These were the ONLY times I found to be most convenient to attack.
And because of this, the battle may end up taking almost 20 minutes to
finish.

DMD Mode, e-mail me and let me know.

UNLOCKABLES

************************

After Dante Must Die Mode is finished, Super Dante and Heaven Or Hell
difficulty is unlocked. All enemies in HOH Mode (including Dante) can
all be killed in ONE hit.

Super Dante has one advantage: he has Infinite Devil Trigger.
But what's the disadvantage to Super Dante? He isn't invincible as he'd
like to be. Infinite Devil Trigger doesn't technically make Dante
"super". Bummer.

************************

All I have to say is "THANK YOU!" that the bosses don't use DT in DMD
Mode. Everything would be thrown to &$%# if that were the case.

Right now, I am still currently trying to find bulletproof ways to
defeat EVERY boss without taking damage or using Devil Trigger (with no
success so far). Once I find out, you'll be the first to know.

Oh, and before you decide to bash this FAQ in the message boards, e-
mail me first and tell me your beef! Don't be talking smack unless I
hear it first!
