Welcome. Shadaloo here, and this would be my very first shiny happy FAQ.
I'll make one thing clear, off the bat: This is an _ending_ FAQ. The
only things you'll find here are the characters' endings themselves, and
their pre-final bout quotes. If you're looking for any type of help with
the game mechanics themselves, or cheats, or combos, or color edits,
you're in the wrong place. What you see is what you get, no more, no
less. For all that other stuff, check out some of the other jaw-
droppingly beautiful FAQs here at GAMEFAQs.
This being an ending FAQ, I suppose I should mention that there are
SPOILERS ahead. If you don't want to have the endings ruined for you,
avert your eyes, and go back now. For those who came for that purpose,
follow me...
I'll be brief, what we have here is all the game's characters, broken up
into 2 categories, Capcom and SNK. I've listed each character's pre
"final bout" (I.E, the next-to-last match before the boss) quote, as
well. I listed the bosses last in each section because, well, gosh darn
it, it's just more fun that way.
To see a character's/team's ending(s), you must defeat the true final
boss (Shin Gouki/Akuma or God/Ultimate Rugal). If you proceed through
the game and fight only regular Gouki/Akuma, Rugal, or no boss at all,
you won't get the ending(s). It doesn't matter which boss you fight, as
long as it's either Shin Gouki/Akuma or God/Ultimate Rugal.
The endings themselves aren't all that bad, considering how big the game
is. While some are pretty interesting, and some don't make any sense at
all, there's something in here for everyone. Cameos aplenty, so you can
take solace in the fact that Capcom didn't completely forget about
everyone (coughANDYcough).
Small note: I am aware that several endings have bad grammar, or mis-
organized/fragmented sentences. That's Capcom's fault. They have a bad
tendency to rush things. Just look at Morrigan. Just treat it as amusing
Engrish. Rice Barrel.

However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind...
1. Do NOT e-mail me asking for hints, tips, info, etc. There are plenty
of other FAQS and websites which will answer those questions for you.
2. Do NOT e-mail me asking for endings, tips, etc. to other games. I
don't think I need to explain this.
3. I don't read letters that bear the mark of CATS. That is to say, if
you must contact me, please use proper grammar, sentence structure, and
punctuation. I like being able to read things without straining my eyes.
I'm not too lenient with letters that could make Samurai Shodown 4 look
like Shakespeare.
If you contact me, and break any of this criteria, your letter will be
laughed at, deleted, and you will be ignored. In short, don't waste my
time.

With her unmatched power, Chun-Li has won.
Her motivation was changed from vengeance to leadership.
For the sake of her young disciples, Chun-Li continues.

Dan Hibiki:

Against all odds, Dan proved that Saikyo Style is best!
And so he built a school in Osaka with his prize money.
But no matter what he does, people treat him like a joke.

Dhalsim:

Seeing the city suffering, Dhalsim makes up his mind.
"I must save these people from this destruction."
Dhalsim was rumored to be in Osaka, helping the people...

Eagle couldn't find someone he felt was good enough...
Some were big and some were strong, but none excited him.
He sighs, "Maybe I need to get closer to these people..."

Edmond Honda:

"Shenkuratsu has come! It is time to show off Sumo power!"

The victory in thr tournament proves E. Honda is #1.

Devouring his Chanko, he talks his dreams to his disciples.

As was expected, Ken Masters has won the tournament.
His son, Mel cheers, "Congratulations, Daddy!"
Ken responds, "Thank you son. You and Eliza inspire me!"

Kyosuke Kagami:

"Fan support is the best support in the world!"

Later, Kyosuke and some of his friends visit the castle.
Hinata asks, "Kyosuke, did you do that to Osaka Castle?"
Kyosuke doesn't know how to answer his friend...

Maki:

"The final bout...but...I wonder where Guy is...?"

After her father died, Maki's been searching for Guy to see
who is more qualified to be the next master. She didn't
find him this time. She says, "I will see him someday..."

He won the battle and thought he'd get a big payday for it!
But, he signed the contract to support a charity...

Morrigan sighs and mutters. "I'm so bored."
There is no happiness without excitement.
"Maybe. I had better sleep until the next party."

Rolento Schugerg:

"Who will qualify to join my new order?"
-----------------------------------------------------------
Rolento is upset since he couldn't find an ally in the
tournament. Plus, he failed to conact the Brazilian
Mercenary Organization. So, what will Rolento do now...?

Ryu:

"This should prove to be a worthy battle."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Utilizing skill and power has led Ryu to victory.
But today's victory is only a small step towards his goal...
And so Ryu continues his search for the perfect battle.

Sagat:

"Tiger Shots to all who stand against the Emperor!"

Sagat has proven that the Emperor of Muay Thai rules!
When he returns to Thailand, he finds many new challengers.

Yun used his prize money to rebuild Osaka City into a
sister city of Yun's home town. He smiles and says,
"I must take care of my new city!"

Zangief:

"Daaaaa! I'll prove that Russia is the greatest nation!"

Zangief has shown that Russia is the greatest country!
He is very satisfied with accomplishing his mission.
However, he must continue to win in order to maintain it.

Satsui No Hado Ryu (Evil Ryu):

Ryu's Evil Energy slowly disappears...
What should he do now? Look for another battle? Look
for help from his friends? What will become of Ryu...

Bison smiles as he watches the Evil Energy and Dark Power.
He smirks, "Fools long for the power, but are not worthy!"
Bison leaves to prepare for the next nightmare...

Gouki (Akuma):

"I search for a fight to the death!"

Though he has beat the Evil Powers, Akuma isn't satisfied.
He is not satisfied by power, energy, or victories.
Nobody can realize what Akuma longs for...

Shin Gouki (Shin Akuma):

"I will crush any opponent with one swift stroke!"

As the sun rises in Osaka City, where is Shin Akuma?
There're some who believe in a 'martial arts god' who
disappeared into the fire, but will one day return...

Athena Asamiya:

Athena sings a song to help the people of Osaka recover.
"Try to cheer up! Try to lift your spirits and fly like a
bird in the sky! You can do it! Don't ever cry..."

Benimaru Nikaido:

"I'm tired of waiting...Let the battle begin, NOW!"

Benimaru enters the room. "Did you enjoy my victory?"
A girl in a wheelchair smiles. "I did. You were so cool!"
Benimaru smiles. "Please, get well soon. Cheer for me!"

Chang Koehan & Choi Bounge:

"Hey, Choi. Win and we're free?"
"I hope so. Yessssssssssss......."

Looking at the winners, Kim smiles and says,
"You understand teamwork now. But you don't know about the
importance of strong bodies. Now it's time to train..."

Haohmaru:

"The next fight is the last?! Mmm...I can hardly wait!"

When teh tournament ended, the samurai disappeared.
It is said that when he left, he said that he would find a
new challenge. Someday we may see him again...

Hibiki Takane:

"I'm prepared for anything. Now, let's begin..."

After fighting the best, Hibiki sees how hard it is to
become a master. She says, "The path to the top is hard.
Is this really worth the price, father? Must I do this...?"

Iori Yagami:

"One more game to play...next, I'll find and destroy Kyo!"

This tournament meant nothing to Iori...
"You are next, Kyo Kusanagi! I WILL DESTROY YOU!!"
How long can Iori control the fire that burns inside him?

Joe Higashi:

"Hey! Hey! Just watch and enjoy it!"

Joe usually looks happy, but today his eyes look serious.
Terry asks, "Where are you going, Joe?"
Joe says, "I must train harder than before. I'll become #1!"

Kim Kaphwan:

"Taekwondo is the spirit of fighting! I will win!"

The tournament has given kim a new sense of satisfaction,
since he could remember his friendship with Chang & Choi.

King returns to england with her little brother Jan.
Jan says, "I want to be the strongest like you!"
King smiles and knows that there is nothing to fear now.

Finally, Raiden met his alter ego, Zangief.
Later, they form a team called, "CycloneLightnings."

Rock felt something strange when he met Geese.

After the tournament, people rush to the Kyokugen school.
His father, Takuma is pleased but. "Wait, who is that man?"
The man in the pink uniform says "What a genius I am!"

Ryuhaku Todo (Mr. Todo):

He has finally realized his long awaited dream of winning!
As he remembers what it took to get here tears come to him.
For him, this is the beginning of Todo Style...

After winning the tournament, Terry is found training again.

Orochi Iori Yagami:

Finding a force more powerful than Dark Power, Rugal smiles.

In 200X, invitations arrive that are simply signed "R"...

Ultimate Rugal:

Suddenly, Ultimate Rugal feels an intense pain in his chest.
The Evil Energy and the soul of Rugal are fighting for
control of Ultimate Rugal's body. Who will win...?

Well, that's about it. All she wrote. It took me a while to do this, so
I hope it's appreciated. Hope you had fun reading it. Let's all raise
our glasses, and hope for CVS3, with more characters, a better Morrigan,
and no announcer. Just remember, in the immortal words of Mr.T on
Saturday Night Live...
