I. Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello! Welcome to my sixth FAQ that I've made. Man, it's been quite some time
since I made one of these. This guide is for Cabela's African Safari for PS2.
This Cabela's title takes a different direction from the other Cabela's titles
in that you only hunt from the 3rd person point of view. It is somewhat linear,
but isn't that bad. As well as African big game, you also have the opportunity
to hunt for birds, and has a simple multiplayer feature as well. I hope my
guide will help fellow Cabela's fans out, and other such things. Good Luck!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. Version History
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 0.20
12/16/06

the Safari Hunt as well. Submitted to GameFAQs & accepted.
Version 0.40
12/17/06
Updated the ASCII Title. Finished Namibia in Safari Hunt. New High Scores from
Namibia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. Safari Hunt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This section covers the main portion of Cabela's African Safari. There are 5
regions of Africa that you will be hunting in. region ends with you hunting one
of Africa's Big Five. I wish you good luck here!

Day 1
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wing Hunt - Hunt Turtle Doves in the Palm Forest!
Just aim for the birds that fly out. Fire when your sights turn red. A simple
enough task.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Regular Hunt - Hunt 3 Impala near the Karoo Plateau!
It is best to use the .270 Rifle for this hunt. Look for the green dots on your
radar. That is your target for the level. Try looking for the Impala on the
east from where you start. I found them near a small lake.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tracking Hunt - Track and Hunt 1 Kudu! (Vaal River)
Look for all the Kudu tracks - Red bugs will be flying all around the locations
of the tracks. When you have found them all, the Kudu will apear and you can
then hunt it. The .338 Rifle is the best weapon for this hunt.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Day 2
5000 Points - .44 Custom Unlocked
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Regular Hunt - Hunt 4 Springbok near the Karoo Plateau!
The hunt starts out with a herd of Springbok running all around you. Fire
away! The .243 Rifle is the best choice for this hunt.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Regular Hunt - Hunt 4 Duikers along the Vaal River!
The .243 is the best gun for this hunt. Try looking for the duikers NE from
where you start off.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Day 3
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Herd Hunt - Hunt 5 Black Wildebeests on the Northern Cape Plains!
The .300 is the best rifle to use for this hunt. Just fire away at the biggest
animals in the herd until you get 5. You will be hunting from a car.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
12000 points - 12 Ga. Custom Shotgun Unlocked
15000 points - .410 O&U Shotgun Unlocked
Regular Hunt - Hunt 2 Warthogs near the Lesotho Highlands!
The .270 Rifle is the best choice of Rifle for this hunt. Try looking South to
SE from the location that you start at.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Trophy Hunt - Hunt 1 Trophy Rhino near the Karoo Plateau!
The best Rifle for this hunt is the .505 Rifle. Look for the largest and
darkest of the Rhinos - that's the trophy legend. I found mine by rounding the
corner you first start off at, then making a right without distracting the
first two Rhinos. Continue until you can sneak up on the resting Trophy Legend
Rhino. (Make sure that you changed to the .505 before firing!)

I'd use the 12 ga. Shotgun for this hunt. (Whether it's the Custom or not is up
to you)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tracking Hunt - Track and Hunt 1 Gemsbuck!
Find the Gemsbuck's tracks by looking for the red bugs swarming around them.
The best gun for this hunt is the .338 Rifle.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Herd Hunt - Hunt 5 Hartebeests near the Kalahari Desert!
You will be hunting the herd from a car in this hunt. The best rifle to use
here is the .300 Rifle.
