1. INTRODUCTION

Simply said, this faq will talk about AC designs. Most importantly, the intro
ACs from past Armored Core games seen in the Virtual Arena. Call it nostalgia
for those who yearn to see them again. Aside from that, the rest are about
player submitted designs including this writer's as well. Anyways, let the
nostalgia begin!

Do note that the paint scheme is not perfect, but as close to 100% accuracy
based on the original designs.

Notes:
- The white AC seen in the intro FMVs destroying the MTs and red AC. This
AC is sometimes known as the trademark AC of the series as it makes various
cameos in future AC games, such as AC2/3/Nexus.
- Fairly decent Arena opponent. Watch out for the GL and the ELF3. A bit on
the slow side though, so it can be out-turned.
- For personal use, the GL should be dropped as there is no use for it with
no OB core or support booster to cancel the cannon reload(which is long).
Not that great for Arena use but it's a decent mission AC.
- Rank 17 in the VR Arena.

Notes:
- The Karasawa-wielding AC seen fighting Hustler One and his Nineball. Some
say this is actually Leos Klein considering he is a PLUS pilot and hates
a certain rebel(perhaps Nineball).
- The KRSW and GERYON3 are dangerous, but can be dodged. Avoid staying at
close range to avoid getting hit.
- This AC is Overweight(OW) so be warned. Drop the GERYON3 since it will
not prove to be much use without an OB core or support boosters. Solid for
Mission or Arena use.
- Rank 19 in the VR Arena.

Notes:
- The Karasawa-wielding Zio Matrix AC shown in the intro FMV. This is also
the AC of Leos Klein, the main antagonist in AC2.
- Ethermaster is equipped with OB and frequently uses it with the GL, so
be ready to evade the incoming projectile. The RL linear rifle is also a
threat, but it is not abused. Avoid energy weapons as the FUTEN greatly
decreases energy weapon damage.
- It is safe to use the GL thanks to the OB function of the ICURUS. The RL
linear rifle is great on both Arena and Mission play. Decent Arena and
Mission use AC.
- Rank 15 in the VR Arena.

Notes:
- The Emeraude AC seen in the intro FMV of AC2: Another Age. Also the partner
of Antares, the final boss of Another Age.
- Short, quick offensive raids with the GL, R3, and OB are the threat in this
battle(hence the name Wonder Raid). Fortunately, its ammo supply is low and
will run out rather quickly.
- Dexterity is the biggest strength, considering the low offensive potential
thanks to low ammo. The GLL can be used as long as OB is used to cancel the
reload time. Better for Arena than Mission play.
- Rank 13 in VR Arena.

Notes:
- The Crest AC without the lost head and left arm seen in the intro FMV.
This AC is a variant of the Phoenix AC, which makes various appearances in
Armored Core games since AC1.
- This version of Phoenix is better than the AC1 version. Very high ammo
count and uses cover in the area well. Agile ACs are a good choice for
battling this Phoenix variant.
- A great Mission AC thanks to PIXIE2's 1000 ammo count. The NYMPHE2 and
GL compliment its endurance abilities, but the GL is less useful with an
OB core. Not that great at Arena battles.
- Rank 11 in the VR Arena.

- The Karasawa-wielding Crest AC seen in the intro FMV in Silent Line.
- The KRSW is the only weapon to worry about. The Exceed Orbits are of no
threat. It fights in the air a lot so beware of death-from-above attacks.
- This is an OW AC so it will not move quickly as it normally should. It
has poor stability and defense. Not good for either Arena or Mission use.

Notes:
- The Mirage AC seen in the intro FMV of Nexus. This is the old AC of
Alliance Tactical Unit leader Evangel. A new variant of the Oracle model
is used by Evangel in Last Raven.
- The linear weapons are deadly, especially with the GAEA EOs. The other
weapons, MOONLIGHT and micro missiles, are less dangerous but do not
underestimate their offensive potential. It has one big weakness: no
missile defense other than the MEDUSAs.
- This variant of Oracle is very powerful used correctly. The LGL is
hardly effective without an OB core, so it should be dropped. Balanced
for every situation, great for Mission and Arena play.
- Rank 21 in VR Arena.

Notes:
- Everyone knows Nineball. This variant is the one fought at the end of
AC: Ninebreaker. What else does one need to know about the infamous Nineball?
- Unlike in the NB version, this Nineball has no exclusive special upgrades
but the usual OP-I. This time though, the EOs are used. A much easier fight
then in NB.
- The GL should be avoided without an OB core or auxiliary booster. The RL
and E2 EOs work well together in most situations. Great for Arena or Mission
play.
- Rank 5 in VR Arena.

- The intro AC fighting for Vertex using the PYTHON to devastate the Alliance
forces. Also the best looking Crest-only frame(body parts) AC of intro Crest
frame ACs.
- Each of the weapons are mildly threatening, but are dangerous when used in
conjunction with one another. It uses a variety of tactics which enhance the
evasive and offensive abilities of the unit. Adjust tactics accordingly.
- An all-purpose type, it can be very effective under proper usage. Equip the
VULTURE2 for longer boost duration or TP for intro look. A fine choice for
Mission or Arena play.
- Rank 7 in VR Arena.
