Introduction
==============

       This FAQ is to show people how to play their imports on PSX using a
GameShark CDX.  If your used to knowing how to disc swap then the methods that
I talk about
in this FAQ should be easy enough to follow.  If your not familiar with Disc
Swapping then I
suggest that you read J. Muir's FAQ on the swap trick @ www.gamefaqs.com under
the PSX Console
information.

==========
How to....
==========

       I will explain the entire process on how to disc swap on a Gameshark all the
way to
the first step.  Be warned that I will not take any resposibility on what
happens to your PSX
if you use my method of how to swap.  Since i dont want to lag you on i will
get directly to the
point on how to do it.

Note: You will need to use 3 CD's for this to work.  A orginal PSX CD that is
the region that your
PSX is from, the Gameshark CD, and the CD you want to play with on the
GameShark CDX

       1. Have something holding down the small gray button in the upper right hand
corner
of the inner portion of the PSX  (It should look like a small circle that you
can push down with your finger,
but do not use your finger on doing this since you will need both hands free.
For this trick, im using a art eraser,
which is somewhat like clay, and can come directly off the Playstation with
ease.)

       2. Insert your Gameshark CDX CD and do what you need to do, either starting up
your
game with codes or not.

       3. When you reach the screen which asks you to remove the GameShark CD, Take
it out
and replace it with your local cd.

       4. Lift up the CD Lid just enough so that the button isnt being held down then
let
go of the cd lid so that it goes back down.  By this time you should see your
local CD spinning.

       5. Here is the part in which disc swapping knoledge takes its part. When the
local cd
starts to boot up it will go from slow to fast and the quickly back to slow.
What you need to do
is take out the local CD when it goes slow the second time and put in your
Import.
(For those who are absent minded ill use the 1x and 2x speed rule for you below)

       In Short for those wanting to disc swap you should use the legend below
1x=Slow Speed
2x=Fast Speed

       Swapping Method - 1x , 2x , 1x

       6. If you did it right the game should boot up and you will be on your way to
playing
your import.

============
Special Note
============

       With this trick in mind, most import games (I.e. Strider Hiryuu 1+2 Japan
Release) will refuse to boot up
and may give you a “This game cannot be played on a Modded Console Error“.
Even though this disc swapping works on
non-mod chipped consoles, you may have to use a mod chip work around code with
the particular game you wish to use.
Please do not email me on where you can get these codes at.
