Welcome to Space Quest 2 for the PC, a classic text console adventure game
by Sierra released in 1987.
The walkthrough for this game is complete and includes a point list. By
following the walkthrough you will also get all points in the game. If you spot
any errors or have suggestions please feel free to e-mail me about it. Enjoy!
Control Roger Wilco with the arrow keys, Home, End, Page Up/Down or use
the Numpad keys.
F1 = Help
F2 = Sound On/Off
F3 = ReType
F4 = Inventory

Alt+Z = Quit
The game doesn't care much for grammar and instead of "LOOK AT THE POD" you
can simply type "LOOK POD". This guide uses working inputs but you can replace
them with different words the game understands (e.g. 'get' instead of 'take').
If the game doesn't understand something it will tell you. Only at a few
points during the game it is picky about the words you chose for an action.
All commands in the guide are in CAPS. You might notice sometimes the guide
also lacks grammar at times, this is intentional because the commands are also
lacking them and it is easier to come across if ignored.
The number in the ()s is the amount of points you get during the game and the
amount you should have at this point in the game. They are listed again in the
point list for a quick overview.
There are serious timing errors in this game if you are playing on a modern PC
so try using an emulator such as DOSBox, play on an older PC (486). If non of
the above are an option for you it might make the game unplayable at certain
parts.
___Xenon Orbital Station 4___

After the intro, your watch will start beeping. LOOK WATCH and press C (1, 1)
to receive a message. Press F10 and walk into the airlock on the ceiling (1,
2) to get inside. WEAR SUIT (1, 3) on the left and OPEN LOCKER on the right.
TAKE RUBE (1, 4) and TAKE STRAP (1, 5), go left and onto the yellow striped
platform. After the short ride, get inside the ship and kidnapped (5, 10).
___Labion___
------
TAKE CARD from the guard (3, 13) and PUSH BUTTON (1, 14) at the crashed
shuttle. Go north and walk around the big tree to hide behind it. Wait until
a patrol comes through and it won't spot you if you are off screen (5, 19). Go
left at the higher point and MAIL FORM (2, 21). TAKE WHISTLE (2, 23) and fall
down the small cliff. Go near a blue spore, carefully they are deadly when
stepped o, and TAKE SPORE (4, 27). Now go north and through the maze, saving
often when you've made some progress. When you are through, TAKE BERRY (4, 31)
and walk back through the maze (4, 35). Go right and right once more at the
bottom of the screen. UNTIE ROPE at the trapped creature (5, 40) and go back
left. This time go right at the top of the screen and RUB BERRY ON BODY (3,
43). Walk through the first screen of the swamp and find a deep end in the
middle of the second screen. HOLD BREATH (2, 45) and swim through to the
underwater cave (2, 47). TAKE GEM (3, 50) and HOLD BREATH again to swim back
(2, 52). Wade right out of the swamp and CLIMB on the dead tree (3, 55). Walk
east one more screen to get trapped by a hunter. After the dream, CALL MAN
twice to get the hunter's attention. When he is close enough, THROW SPORE (5,
60) at him to knock the hunter out. If you did let him come close enough you
can now TAKE KEY (2, 62) to UNLOCK DOOR. OPEN DOOR and TAKE ROPE (2, 64) at
the nearby rock. Go up and left twice where you were earlier. SIT LOG and
shimmy to thee middle of it. TIE ROPE TO LOG (2, 66) and CLIMB ROPE. Go down
all the way to the end of it and SWING (2, 68). After the monster has taken
it's first swipe and you are swinging at the opposite side, press F6 to jump
to the platform (5, 73). Get inside the cavern HOLD GEM (2, 75) in the dark
part. Navigate around the rocks to fall down and TAKE GEM (1, 76) again.
Follow the small creatures and SAY THE WORD to find an opening (3, 79). Go
down the ladder. Once inside, PUT GEM MOUTH and use the following directions
to get through the maze: Right at the bottom of the ladder, go down the next
ladder you get to and right the first chance you get. Go down at the next
ladder and right at the immediately following tunnel. Go down once more at
the next ladder and then take the second tunnel towards the left. After you
get to the third ladder, go down and all the way right to exit the maze (20,
99). Swim east and down the right junction (5, 104). Swim right and BLOW
WHISTLE (5, 109). A monster will appear. Get out of the water and THROW RUBE
at it (10, 119). Get to the rock it came from and TAKE ROCK (2, 121). At the
shuttle post, SLING ROCK AT GUARD (20, 141) to knock him out. INSERT CARD (5,
146) at the elevator and OPEN DOOR at the back of the shuttle. Inside the
shuttle PUSH POWER, TURN DIAL, PUSH THRUSTER BUTTON and PULL LEVER to take
off and leave Labion (20, 166). After this TURN DIAL, PULL LEVER to arrive at
Sludge Vohaul's Asteroid.
Go left, enter the elevator and go to level THREE. Go right three times and
PUSH BUTTON at the closet. TAKE PLUNGER (1, 167) and go right two more
screens. Use the elevator to get to level FOUR and go left two times. PUSH
BUTTON at the closet and TAKE CUTTER (1, 168). Go left one more screen and
push button at one of the doors to the unisex bathroom. OPEN DOOR to the only
unoccupied toilet and TAKE PAPER (1, 169). Leave the bathroom and go left two
times. Use the elevator to get to level FIVE. Go right two screens and PUSH
BUTTON at the closet. TAKE BASKET (1, 170), TAKE OVERALL and TAKE LIGHTER (1,
171). Go right twice and enter the elevator to get to level ONE. Go left and
down the stairs in the middle. Attempt to walk right and then attempt to walk
left. Stay at the left side and face the wall. When the floor is nearly gone
underneath your feet, USE PLUNGER ON WALL to survive the trap (10,181). LET GO
once the floor is back (10, 191). PUT PAPER BASKET (1, 192), DROP BASKET (1,
193) and SET FIRE (10, 203). Go right and enter Vohaul's Secret Chamber. Walk
up to him and get miniaturized. CUT GLASS WITH CUTTER (5, 208) and go to the
left and ENTER VENT. Behind the pump is a button, PUSH BUTTON to kill Vohaul
(10, 218). EXIT the vent and walk to the left. PUSH BUTTON at the top and TYPE
ENLARGE on the keyboard. Now walk back right and enter the glass jar you were
trapped in earlier. SEARCH MAN for the password. LOOK MONITOR on the left, the
only one switched on. Enter SHSR (10, 228) and exit with F6. Diagonally go up
the stairs on the right and TAKE MASK (2, 230) from the red box. WEAR MASK and
walk along the corridors. When you are back in the purple area, go east all
the way to the escape pods. PUSH BUTTON next to the first one and quickly
leave left. After 3 more screens the android will have stopped following you.
Go back to the escape pod and ENTER POD (10, 240). Once you are on the way and
only have 5 more minutes of air left, LOOK to get a larger view of the pod.
Go to the right hand side and OPEN CHAMBER. Finally GET IN CHAMBER to finish
the game (10, 250). Enjoy!
