Explanation of personality points
---------------------------------
The amount of personality points assigned to each category determines your
Sim's behavior. Below is a list of the various personality categories a Sim
acts/reacts in. I've listed the names of the different areas of their
personality that you assign points to and the in-game description that
accompanies each one.
Neat
1-2 Slob
So I occasionally leave a pizza box or two laying around, and I don't mind the
flies buzzing all over. Why clean up when everyone else is willing to do it?
3-7 Occasional Cleaner
When it comes to cleaning up I have a few basic rules. I flush when I'm done,
clean up my own junk and take out the trash now and then.
8-10 Neat-Freak
I'm known to wash dishes as soon as I'm finished eating. The trashcan's barely
full before it's taken out. The paper is recycled as soon as I'm finished
reading. And the house is always spotless whenever I'm about.
Outgoing
1-2 Shy
Being self-concious and introspective, I don't have a great need to be social.
It's hard for me to meet new people and make friends.
3-7 Member of the Crowd
I'm a little reserved, and it takes me a while to warm up to new people. You
won't see me in the middle of huge crowds at parties, but I won't be sitting
quietly in a corner either.
8-10 People Person
I'm an extrovert. I love to talk to everyone. I crave social interactions.
Basically, I'm a social animal.
Active
1-2 Lazy
Is there anything worse than getting out of bed in teh morning? Who needs
ambition--a warm couch and a good TV show is all anyone needs.
3-7 Laid Back
Though not always on the go, I am somewhat motivated. Though I tend to linger a
little too long in a nice cozy chair, I won't be caught sitting there all day
either.
8-10 Energetic
Some say I'm a live wire. Some say I have ants in my pants. Either way, it just
means I'm always on the go and anxious to get there.
Playful
1-2 Serious
Sims who spend their time joking just irritate me. Don't they understand that
their frivolous folly is meaningless? So much more fun can be gained by reading
a good book.
3-7 Amused
I laugh at good jokes, dance if there are other people on the floor, and like
to play games. Generally, I like having fun but I don't go overboard.
8-10 Life of the Party
When I'm not telling jokes, I'm laughing at them. I've never seen a game I
didn't want to play. That's why everyone knows the party is always at my house.
Nice
1-2 Mean
Everything makes me mad, especially when someone says I have a temper. If
everything wasn't always broken, or other Sims weren't always bothering me, I
probably wouldn't have to blow my stack so often.
3-7 Easy Going
While some Sims can get on my nerves a little, overall I'm pretty good-natured.
8-10 Compassionate
I like giving hugs and compliments. I love making friends with everyone. If
everyone were more like me, the neighborhood would be a nicer place.

List of "interest" magazines
----------------------------
I've listed the available magazines and their effect on your Sim when they read
about various interests. The name of the magazine is listed, followed by the
price and the topics it covers. I've also included the effect it has on each
"interest". For each point of "interest" that is raised about a given topic,
one point is taken away from another.
I've included my own personal experience with the new NPCs in Hot Date.
Everything included in here is only what I've personally seen. There may be
more interactions that take place with these same NPCs, but if it didn't happen
to me, I didn't bother to include them.
Claire the Bear
Makes an appearance at your house to rummage through the trash. The sound will
wake your Sim from a dead sleep. If you have a teddy bear displayed outside of
your house or downtown, she will talk to it. Also, if you are having a picnic,
she will raid the basket which causes your Sims to scream and run about.
Sonya the Janitor
General clean up person. She maintains the toilets and sinks, if either get
broken, she'll repair them. On occasion, she is known to hold a conversation
with her mop and dance with it. Mostly, she just likes to stand around and
mutter under her breath.
Carlo the Musician
When he first tries to serenade you, he does so with his guitar. Tip him at
least §20 and he will pull out his enchanting violin. Don't tip him and he will
instead "entertain" you with his parrot puppet. This can put quite a damper on
the romantic atmosphere.
