<2-WHY I AM DOING THIS>

When I begin to play this game I started in the PC emulated version of it, so
I acess gamefaqs.com to see if there is any FAQs about it luckly I found one,
posted by IceQueenZer0. After some observations in this FAQ I saw that there
are something that missing and some notes about some moves and some mistakes,
that I don't have the intention to list here. So I have an ideia, why I'm not
make my own KOF XIII FAQ and post somewhere. After enter in contact to
IceQueenZer0 and ask permission to use his/her FAQ as a sketch, that he/she
gently gave me I begin to make it and finally finish it. I hope everyone
like it.

<3-VERSION HISTORY>

1.0-Move list of all the Arcade character include bosses

1.1-Include a non confirmed move list of the console characters

1.2-Correct command and names of some moves and put following: The console
exclusive characters and how to unlock them, the DLC characters move list

1.3-Correct my answer in question 2

1.4-Make my legend more understandable and make some corrections using the

<5-MOVE ABREVIATIONS>

[MOVE NAME]+: indicates that you can use an EX version of the move. See
section 6 for a explanation of what this is

*DESPERATION MOVE: this means the desperation move cost 2 sepecial bar besides
one

/: you can use any comand between the bar
For example f/b+HP means you can do the move using f+HP or b+HP

(AA)[MOVE NAME]: This move can also be done in the air

(OA)[MOVE NAME]: This move can only be done in the air

(C)[MOVE NAME]: This move has to be done close to the opponent

[MOVE NAME](#): This move is a start of a sequence

#(*)>[MOVE NAME]: you have do the move mark with the number # using the *
version before doing this move. If there isn't a note about the version you
can use any version of the move

For example: [Move 1](1): QCF+P
            1(HP)>[Move 2](2): QCF+K
            2>[Move 3]: QCF+P

Explanation: Thats means the sequence of moves is "Move 1" using the HP,
"Move 2","Move 3". In this example you can do the "Move 2" using LP for the
"Move 1"

[MOVE NAME](x#/*): this means that me move can be done # times in sequence
and * in its EX version.

<6-COMMON MOVES>

f,[f] = dash, to continue the dash just hold f
b,b = step back
LP+LK/f+LP+LK = roll forward
b+LP+LK = roll back
f+LP+LK during block = Guard Cancel Roll(comsume 1 level of special bar)
b+LP+LK during block = Guard Cancel Roll Back(comsume 1 level of special bar)
LP+LK while being knocked down = Recovery Roll
LK+HP = HDS(need Hyper Drive Gauge to be full)
HP+HK = Knockdown Attack
KP+HK during block = Guard Cancel Attack(comsume 1 level of special bar)
HP/HK when the opponent using a normal throw = throw Escape
PA button = taunt, in this version this can't be cancel

<7-NEW TERMOLOGIES>

EX Moves: These are reinforced versions of Special and Desperation move to use
you just need to press The Light and Heavy Button of the move. For example:
Terry's Power wave move is QCF+P Its EX version will be QCF+LP+HP. To use an
EX version you will need at least 1 level of special bar for special moves and
at least 2 levels for an Desperation Move, if you have the Target Action "Hit
your opponent with a DESPERATION MOVE!" and do a EX version of a desperation
move this won't count as a desperation move. For a sequence of moves or for
moves that can be done more than once just the first move will spend the
special bar and need to be press both Light and Heavy buttons however the rest
of the moves will still be an EX version.

Neo Max: This is a new kind of Hidden Super Desperation Moves from KOF 2002
to execute you will need at least 3 levels in your special bar and your Hyper
Drive Bar full or if you are in HDS you can do this move using 2 levels beside
the normal 3 required. Using the Neo Max in HDS will completely empty the HDG

Hyper Drive Gauge(HDG): This is green gauge at the bottom of each corner. You
can use this bar to make Drive Cancel, Super Cancel or enter in Hyper Drive
State.

Drive Cancel: Using Half of the HDG you can cancel one Special Move in another,
you can also do a special and cancel in his own EX version. If the Special move
has some restriction for this will be explain in the parenthesis.

Super Cancel: Like in KOF 2001 this is cancel a Special move in a Desperation
move. As a Drive Cancel the Super Cancel cost Half of the HDG too. If the
Special move has some restriction for this will be explain in the parenthesis.

Hyper Drive State(HDS): When you enter in HDS the HDG begin to deplete and you
return to normal when its completely empty. In HDS you can do Drive or Super
Cancel costing only 10% of the HDG, these cancel will convert in HD Cancel,
if you have the Target Action "Perform a DRIVE CANCEL!" and do a Drive Cancel
in HDS this won't be count as a Drive Cancel. You can active the HDS after a
normal or a command move. You can active HDS when you are in the air too.

Max Cancel: To do this first you will need to be in HDS after enter in this
mode you can do a Desperation Move and Cancel in a Desperation Move. After
doing this you will exit of the HDS.

<8-TEAMS>

The characters marked with * have alternative color acess by pressing select
when youare choosing his/her color and has this alternative color configurable
in the costumize menu by pressing select too. The Characters mark with + also
have alternative color but don't have a spearate configuration in costumize.

<1001-COLORS IN COSTUMIZE>

To unlock all the 20 colors in the costumize for a specific Fighter you need
to make his Time Select status reach 40(that you can check in the Player
Data after enter in Character Record). You didn't unlock all 20 in one hit.
You need to hit 10, 20, 30 and 40 for the 1º, 2º, 3º and 4º row of colors
respectively. These colors are the same for everyone. Here are some rules

Arcade: the count begin when you select the trio even if you finish the game
or not. if you lose and continue the new figthers gain one more count even if
they're are the same. The time select counter increase even if you don't use
the fighter in your play.

Versus 3x3: For every fight the counter increase for everyone even if you don't
use them.

Story, Mission, Pratice: these modes don't increase the Time Select

Note 1: Play with KYO don't count time select for EX KYO (NEST SAGA) too. So
you need to select KYO 40 times and EX KYO (96 STYLE) 40 times too. The same
go for EX IORI WITH FLAMES) and MR. KARATE.

Note 2: Using the option character select in the pause menu make you lose the
a count.

<1002-FIGHTING AGAINST>

BILLY KANE: In Arcade Mode complete between 2 to 4 Target Action per winning
match. BILLY will challenge you before the 4th Stage.

SAIKI: In Arcade Mode complete at least 5 Target Action per winning match.
SAIKI will challenge you before the 4th Stage.

ASH: I don't know how certainly fight against him  even i already fight
against him. The only thing i know ASH will challenge you before the 6th
stage.

SAIKI WITH MUKAI POWERS: In Arcade Mode finish the 6th Stage with at least
2.500.000 points. After you finish this stage you will fight him.

ASH WITH BLACK FLAMES: Defeat SAIKI WITH MUKAI POWERS

I don't have all the icons either don't know how to unlock all of them, so
i'll put here the ones i know how to unlock and update when I discovery
others. The order i put is the order that they are in display.

Chibi Fighter: Complete Time Attack with the specific figther. There are 37
of this kind. Finish the Time Attack with 10 normal characters to gain the
SAIKI WITH MUKAI POWERS chibi icon. Finish the Time Attack with every normal
character to gain the chibi icon of ASH WITH BLACK FLAMES. The normal
characters don't include: BILLY KANE, SAIKI, EX IORI (WITH FLAMES), EX KYO
(NEST SAGA), MR. KARATE. This means if you finish The Time Attack for
example with BILLY and 9 other normal character you won't gain the chibi SAIKI
WITH MUKAI POWERS only after the tenth normal character that will happen.

Team Shield Character: Finish arcade mode with a non edit team. There are 10
icons of this type on for each team. If you forget who are the non edit teams
see section 8 of this FAQ.

Shield Character: Complete 5 trials of the specific figther. You can complete
any 5 of the 10 trials. There are 33 Icons of this kind. Yes there are only 33
The DLC character don't have this kind of icon so if you want to unlock this
don't lose time doing their trials.

A2: Like i said in the update i wrote this FAQ using the steam version of the
game. So when i finish to write this FAQ there wasn't any kind of way to make
them selectable. When this happen there will be a boss move list.

Q3: There is something wrong i can't do some moves in the arcade version. Can
you tell me why?

About the last 25 icons i don't have any idea on how to unlock them. But i
think that you probably need to have a certain amount of winning victory in
player matches and in ranked matches, so if someone could confirm that to me I
appreciate your gesture and of course i'll put uour name in the thanks section.

Q5: I saw in a site that to fight against ASH you need to habe 4.000.000 before
the 6th stage and in other place that you need to get a S rank in all 5 stages
Which method is the right one?

A5: Well for me none. Because first i said before i fought against him several
times and you can see in my steam profile that i have the "You can't win
against me!" achievement proving that i fought and win. Second in those
several times i don't have rank S in all my fights and either have more than
4.000.000. So I don't believe in those methods.
