Welcome to Chains of Satinav! Before starting, players can choose to play on
hard mode or easy mode. The latter has no help features; the former has all
of them. Doing a playthrough with each enabled (i.e. not swapped in settings
menu) has its own achievement. Note that doing hard mode first doesn't unlock
the easy mode achievement as well, though.

The tale begins in Andergast, with young Geron being bullied by two idiots,
Ulfried and Olgierd. Those on easy mode will have tutorial-like instructions
on how to proceed.

• Click on Olgierd
• Grab the Hammer
• Select Hammer from inventory and use it on Ulfried
• Open inventory and select jug icon (shattering yellow icon on left side)
• Use this magic talent to shatter the jug beside Olgierd

|_| ACHIEVEMENT: RISE FROM THE DIRT
    Complete the intro scenes. Mandatory.

Geron goes inside to talk with Gwinnling, his father figure.

• Exhaust all Gwinnling's dialogue options
• Take the Walking Cane near the dresser
• Go downstairs
• Take the 2 Oak Leaves (Copper) from the bedroll
• Open trunk and take the Flute

Exit onto the street. This is where Geron's bullying took place earlier.

• Enter doorway beside Olgierd and Ulfried to eavesdrop on their riddle

Enter next available screen, a market street.

• Talk to Hilda, the herb salesgirl
• Pick "Pot with lots?"
• Pick "Buy a lot"
• Pick "Question the odds"
• Pick "Music on the fair"

• Speak to the Fredhelm the fiddler nearby
• Pick "Ask for Hilda's song"
• Pick "Encourage"

The Bruin's Bride song distracts Hilda from her duties.

    Win at Hilda's stand by spending two Kreutzer or less. Note that Geron

• Inspect Doublet in the inventory to get the Oak Leaf (Brass)

Note that the orks disappear from the starting area's camp after using the
red stone, meaning the eavesdropping achievement is missed. Get it before
that happens.

Also, in some cases, Geron's grappling hook may not reach the rotten tree.
In that case, try repairing the grappling hook and trying again. (Not sure
why this happens, but it definitely occured when I first played. Might have
something to do with cutting up the rope previously, then repairing it?)

• Return to Nuri's screen to automatically advance to the red lake
• View scene with imp (automatic)
• Backtrack to previous camp area
• Inspect bracelet on the stone (obtain Jewellery)
• Take the Ork Shield by campfire
• Use Knife on roast at campfire (obtain Meat)
• Return to drumming area
• Give meat to the dog
• Take the bag of Pipe-Weed that falls

Note that giving Nuri the blossom is an alternate trigger for the "Romantic

• Take the Drawing on the central stone
• Open chest and take a Stone Tablet
• Use shatter spell on butterfly jar

    Destroy 100 objects.

The above achievements can be obtained over the course of the game, nearly
always done by repeatedly breaking and repairing an object. The butterfly jar
here serves that purpose. (It goes a lot faster if people use the scroll wheel
for the spells and skip dialogue with escape button. This allows things to go
lickety-split.) Players can do this on later objects too, though there aren't
a ton.

• Use Blossom on niche basin
• Inspect the lit-up niche

To solve this puzzle, right-click the Stone Tablet to see there's pairs of
numbers. These relate to the six stalactites and stalagmites. So, if the
pair was [4x1 | 2x4], that would mean connecting the 1st stalagmite on the
bottom to the 4th on the top, and the 4th on the bottom to the 2nd on the
top. As it turns out, that's the puzzle solution.

• Do the above combination
• See Nuri's automatic scene (if no one tried leaving cave yet, that is)
• Exit down passage
• Combine Drawing and Charcoal

There's an automatic scene with Jacomo Nauta, the fairy scholar, and Nuri's
inquisitive nature getting the better of everyone.

• Use Water Bladder on Jacomo
• When prompted, pick either option
• Take the statue's arm laying on ground (obtain Arm of Fairy's Statue)
• Take Jacomo's broken staff (obtain Part of a Yardstick)
• Use staff fragment on statue rubble
• Take other half of staff (obtain Broken Yardstick)
• Repair the staff (obtain Yardstick)
• Combine Yardstick and the statue's arm (obtain Yardstick with Arm)
• Use Yardstick with Arm on the cliff's satchel (obtain Backpack)

eye's attention. Geron can move in directions that don't intersect with its
gaze at this time.

• Repair the Oil Lamp nearby, then take it

• Move peacock's gaze so it points at oil lamp area (diverting gaze)
• Take the Mirror the light was reflecting off by default

• Head into next cave screen

Players are tasked with three challenges: (1) get an apple from the stagnated
garden (2) make the blind Bird-Man statue see (3) create a life-sized statue
of the queen in all six colors of the rainbow. The apple part always comes
first.

• Take Wicker Basket by queen
• Take Goblet near queen
• Enter the gallery (door left of peacock in central chamber)

    Flip the triangular portrait -- which controls whether the realm's normal
    or reversed -- twenty times. This can be done immediately after entering.

• Take the Stake in front of the creepy elf statue
• Take the two horns off the creepy elf statue (obtain Halves of Bow)
• Repair the bow (obtain Bow)
• Take Light Crystal from left pedestal and put it in the right-hand one
• Enter painting to reach second floor
• Take the Colour-Stone
• Take the Spear from the statue's mouth
• Go back to 1F
• Use Colour Stone on room's lower basin (makes realm turn into springtime)
• Make sure triangular picture is normal (pointy end down)

    Remove the colour-stone from the lower basin, put it back in, and repeat
    about five times.

• Enter main chamber again
• Use Spear on the upper water basin
• Collect shrunken spear from lower basin (obtain Arrow)
• Combine Bow and Arrow to make...wait for it...the Bow and Arrow.

• Peer into garden via window (only one in main hall by gallery works)
• Use Bow and Arrow on apple that bloomed in springtime scene
• Reenter gallery
• Flip triangular painting
• Enter the room where the occulunculus (eye-creature) is
• Take Apple from the unfrozen well
• Take the Figurine of the Queen (by well) as well

The next step is making the six-color statue of the queen. The peacock gives
clues about this step, mostly how he depends on certain times of year and
other people for his timekeeping.

• Make realm into springtime, if not done already
• Make gallery's triangular picture is reversed (pointy end up)
• Combine Goblet and Stake (obtain Goblet with Handle)
• Peer through garden window near gallery
• Use Goblet with Handle on the dripping beehive honey

• Remove Colour-Stone from gallery basin (making it winter)
• Enter queen's chamber and exit onto terrace
• Put Goblet of Honey on the southern stone
• Take one of the peacock's Feathers now that it's sleeping
• Return Colour-Stone to lower gallery basin
• Put Goblet of Honey on west stone
• Take Goblet of Honey (crab won't change directions)

• Use door by gallery and cross new bridge into bird-man statue's head
• Inspect pot of paint

The key to this puzzle is the Eius-Tablet. Right-clicking it reveals that
the word 'EIUS' looks like the numbers 5-12-1-3 when upside-down. Right-click
Praios to learn he's first among the gods, which gets the clockwise ordering
system right.

    Try using the knife on human targets (or Nuri) ten times. It can be the
    same person over and over, making it easy to do in the first couple
    chapters.

    Destroy 100 objects. The first time this can be done easily is during the
    red lake segment, by repeatedly smashing and fixing the butterfly jar.

    • Give Amulet to Nuri and ask about "magical amulet"

    At the ork camp, talk to Nuri about "Tairach?" to eavesdrop on the foes,
    then repeatedly eavesdrop some more, until nothing new is revealed/said.
    This must be done before making the ork god's statue "bleed".

    In Jacomo's cave, get the directions to Nuri on the first try by throwing
    it into the wastebasket beside her, rather than aiming at her directly.

    During the mill escape segment, switch Nuri's light from roof hole to
    roof hole fifty (50) times. It's easiest done as soon as it's available.

    In Neirutvena's gallery, flip the triangular portrait (controls whether
    the garden and waterfall are flipped) twenty times. This can be done
    right after entering.

    In Neirutvena's gallery, take the colour-stone from the lower basin (that
    controls the realm's seasons) and put it back five times.
 _
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: PARTY ANIMAL
    Complete the "Bird-Man sees again" segment of the plot, where the eye
    creature is relocated to the statue outside the queen's balcony. This is
    mandatory, so see the walkthrough for details.

|_| ACHIEVEMENT: WORLD-WHISPERER
    In the dream chambers, Geron enters his own soul/dream. While at Isida's
    campsite in the dream, inspect the pantaloons on the log for a "Whispered
    World" easter egg. Note that the pantaloons don't have an icon visible if
    Mouse 3 button is used.

    appears. After that, pick "win trust" and "not a bad luck charmer," plus
    "deny fault" and "Olgierd was hexed". Finally, take his Bloody Pitchfork
    away from him via dialogue. The achievement pops after entering the magic
    academy.

|_| ACHIEVEMENT: HE DIED FOR THE CAUSE
    Enter the magic academy without saving Olgierd. Players can simply never
    bother or attempt and fail (i.e. pick wrong options).

    Raven's Peak books don't appear until the Magic Glass is used on the pic

[Q] - I can't repair the object!
[A] - Remember that the power is only available when Nuri's nearby, at least
      in the early chapters.

[Q] - The bow and arrow won't go through the window!
[A] - Peer through the one next to the gallery instead, as that one lacks a
      windowpane.

[Q] - How do you unlock all the extras?
[A] - I'm not sure. Some unlock just by beating the game and getting all (or
      most) of the achievements. However, some remain unlocked for me even
      after two playthroughs, so they may have time-based trigger methods. If
      anyone finds out the methods -- which would be amazing, considering the
      game is mum on the issue -- feel free to email me about it.
