I. Introduction
Well, here I am again with a guide to a fairly obscure game. Given that
Spelling Blizzard (Spelling Jungle's sequel) is significantly harder, I
originally planned to only write an FAQ on Spelling Blizzard. However, I
actually had a great deal of fun writing that, so I figured I should write a
guide for this game, also. Although I didn't have any major problem with the
puzzles, someone else might, and that is why we write FAQs: To explain things
that are obvious to us to people that it's not obvious to. Just for the
record, this game was also released under the name "Basic Spelling Tricks" but
we all know Spelling Jungle is a better name.
It's an educational game, of course, but the levels themselves have much more
to do with figuring out how to do them than how to spell the words. It doesn't
matter how well you can spell a word if you don't know how to solve the puzzle
given for that word.
And yet again, I feel I should mention that I used the Macintosh version of
this game, but the Windows version is identical as far as I know. Actually, I
used Basic Spelling Tricks, but the games are identical other than the names,
so again there is no problem.

1.00: First release. All levels covered. (8/27/06)
III. FAQ
Q: Where can I get this game?
A: It's an old, and fairly obscure game, though I believe it achieved moderate
popularity at some point. Do a search on the Internet or eBay (or a site
similar to eBay) and see what you can find.
Q: When I try to play the game, it says my monitor needs to be set to 256
colors. What do I do?
A: Set the monitor to 256 colors. Well, what did you think? How to do this
probably depends on your computer, so if you don't know how check the manual
or do a search online to find out if you don't already know.
Q: Why was this game released under several names?
A: I have no idea. It was originally Basic Spelling Tricks but it was
re-released under the name Spelling Jungle, possibly because the name Spelling
Jungle is much cooler.
Q: Hlp mee. i cant bet ths gam cuz i cant spel da wurds.
A: Then learn how to spell them.
Q: Was the previous question a joke question?
A: Yes. As is this one.
IV. Game Info/Obstacles
The story line is fairly simplistic. The river is being flooded for an unknown
reason, causing problems for people who live near it. They have asked Yobi, an
old and wise magician, for help, but he is too old to undertake the trip all
the way up the river (though he is somehow able to follow you each time you
progress). So the task falls to you, Wali, his apprentice, to make the
dangerous trip upriver to find the source of the flood and stop it.
There are two parts to this game. There are the levels/puzzles, and the river
spelldown. For the river spelldown, you must spell a word that Yobi orally
gives you. Once you do this enough times correctly, you can progress. At first
you only have to spell three words, but every 10 levels you are given one
more, up to 10, so after level 70 there is no longer any increase.
In the game, you have to walk over letter tablets in the correct order. For
example, if the word was LETTER, you'd have to walk over the L, then E, then
two T's, then another E, and then an R. However, there are obstacles in the
way that you have to figure out how to get past. Additionally, sometimes you
have to be sure to pick a certain tablet of a letter; that is, if there are
two E's needed for the word like in Letter, you might have to get a certain E
first and then get the other one later in order to solve the puzzle. Finally,
you need to get back to the Raft at the end of every puzzle, and in some you
have to prepare to be sure you can get back.
Guess I should mention the controls for this game. The controls are very easy,
just use the arrow keys to move around and press the space bar to throw an
Apple or lay down a Bridge; if you are next to and facing the water and have a
Bridge you will lay that down rather than throw an Apple if you have one. You
can also use your mouse to move around, just click on the space where you want
to move to. However, this is inexact, and I highly recommend using the arrow
keys. The controls can be adjusted from the menu screen, click on one of the
arrows that the compass points in and then press the key you wish to
correspond to moving in that direction.
Now it is time to give information on the obstacles you will encounter.
Terrain:
Land: This is the basic type of terrain. You and animals can walk over it.
Grass: This is exactly the same as land, except animals do not walk on it; the
only way to get them onto the grass is to bribe the animal and then push it
onto it. Animals cannot hurt you while you are on the Grass, though Tricksters
can.
Mud: Animals never go on mud, even if you try to push them. If you go in one
direction on Mud, you will continue to slide in that direction until you hit
something. If you push a Boulder on mud, it also will slide in one direction
until it hits something.
Hot Coals: Animals never walk on the Hot Coals, even if you push them. You can
walk over these, but if you stop moving at any time while on them, you will
have to start the level over. So, if you're on the Hot Coals, always be
moving.
Dark Pits: Animals will not go into Dark Pits under any circumstances. You can
push Boulders and Vehicles into them and they will disappear. If you go into
one, you'll have to start the level over.
Stone Wall: Nothing can pass through these, not even Trickster attacks.
Trees: These function just like Stone Walls, except Trickster attacks can go
through them.
Water: You cannot walk on water without a Walk Over Water potion. You can
cross it by bribing and then riding a Hippo, laying down a bridge, or pushing
a Boulder into the water for use as a temporary bridge.
Animals:
Rhino(ceros): These pace back and forth and do not turn other than to go back
the other way when they encounter an obstacle. If you get hit by its snout
you'll have to start the level over. You can bribe them and push them into a
new place.
Alligator: These float in the river and stay near the edge of the water. If
one is close to you it will try to attack you; you can lose it by getting far
enough away, though. Alligators can come out of the water, but if they have to
move too far on land to get to you they will return to the water. If an
Alligator catches you, you start the level over.
Lion: A Lion stays in one space, its den or home space, unless you get too
close. It will then start moving and try to attack you. It will return to its
home space when you get far enough away. If a Lion catches you, you start the
level over.
Tiger: If you are horizontally or vertically aligned with a Tiger, it will
notice you. If you move sideways, it will also. If you go towards or away from
it, it will move towards you as much as you move towards or away. Note that
just using the arrow keys does this; if you try to move away from a Tiger but
are running into a Stone Wall, the Tiger will still get closer to you. If a
Tiger gets too close it will start to chase you. If a Tiger catches you, you
start the level over.
Elephant: Elephants stay in one space and do not move unless you bribe them.
Once you do, you can push them around, but when the bribe wears off it will
attempt to return to its home space.
Hippo(potamus): These stay in one place in the water and bob up and down. When
they are up you can bribe or walk over them. If the river is only one space
wide you can therefore use them as a bridge without having to bribe them. If
you do bribe them, you can ride across the river on them, but when the bribe
wears off it will instantly stop moving, so make sure you're not in the middle
of the river when this happens! TIP: If you want to bribe a Hippo from right
next to it, in order to face it wait until it is bobbed down, then face it so
that when it bobs up you can bribe it.
Gazelle: Gazelles run around very quickly. They can be bribed and will then
stand still and can be pushed around. Gazelles cannot harm you but can
potentially be an annoyance.
Zebra: Zebras remain in one place, never moving, unless bribed. If you bribe
one, it will follow you. You can also push it around. When the bribe wears
off, the Zebra will stay in its new space until it is bribed again.
Tricksters:
These are called Demons in the game, but I shall use Trickster, the term the
instruction booklet uses.
Fire Trickster: The Fire Trickster can fire in all directions, but has a
limited range. Getting hit by one of its fire balls forces you to start the
level over.
Wind Trickster: Wind Tricksters do not hurt you, or at least not directly.
They blow you around, but only left, right, north, or south. You can hold your
ground against one if you try to run towards it, but you will not get closer
to it.
Dart Trickster: Dart Tricksters will fire up, down, left, or right if you are
aligned with it. Its darts move quickly, and if one hits you then you start
the level over.
Items:
Letter Tablets: These are scattered around each level, and each has a letter
on it. You must pick them up in the correct order to spell the word in order
to complete the level. Just walk over them to pick them up.
Apple: Pick these up by walking over them. You can throw them at animals to
bribe them. NOTE: Not all animals can be bribed.
Bridge: If you walk over one of these you can later on lay one down at the
land's edge and use it to cross to other parts of land on the map.
Boulder: You can push these around. If you push one into the river, it will
serve as a temporary bridge. It can also be used to block Trickster attacks
and animals.
(All-Terrain) Vehicle: These can be pushed, but only forward or backwards, not
sideways. If you push one, it will continue to roll in that direction until it
hits something. If it stops on the Hot Coals it will disappear, and while you
can push it into the water, it sinks too fast to be used as a bridge.
The next 5 items mentioned are all potions. You take them by walking over
them. They take effect immediately and last 10 seconds.
Time Stop: This stops time. Everything stops moving except you. Note that if
you push a Boulder into the water during a Time Stop, the Boulder will NOT
fall into the water until time resumes.
Walk Over Water: This lets you walk over water.
Fire Ball Protection: This potion makes you immune to the Fire Trickster.
Dart Protection: With this, the Dart Trickster's darts will not harm you.
Wind Protection: The Wind Trickster will be unable to blow you around while
this is in effect.
Trinket: These are found every 10 levels. They are completely optional; you
gain nothing from them other than having a Trinket appear on the menu screen
next to the level you found it in. However, if you want the extra challenge
you can try for them.
Raft: You start out on this in a level and when you move the level starts up.
You need to get back to it at the end of every level.
V. Walkthrough
Ah, the most important part of the guide. Without further ado, let's get
started.
LEVEL 1: FIRST
As the word says, this is the first level, so it is a cinch. There are no
obstacles whatsoever. Just grab the letters in order.
LEVEL 2: PRACTICE
Head left and get the P and the Apples, then bribe the Hippo to ride over to
the right and get the next two letters. You can get the Apples if you want,
but there's no need, as you have one left anyway. Bribe the Hippo again and
ride it back to the left, then get the rest of the letters.
LEVEL 3: NICE
Go right and get the Apple and Bridge. From the Bridge, go up and left and
then use the Bridge to cross the river. Bribe the Zebra and have it follow you
to a place where it won't be blocking anything (two spaces down and one to the
right of where it was before is fine), then wait for the bribe to wear off and
then get the N. The rest of the letters are self-explanatory.
LEVEL 4: EASY
Living up to this level's name, just push the Boulder up and get the E on your
way, then get the rest of the letters.
LEVEL 5: BEGIN
Get the B and push the Boulder two spaces right, then two up. Get the E, G,
and Bridge, then use the Bridge to cross over to where the I is, get that,
then come back and get the N.
LEVEL 6: JOURNEY
This level is good practice for dealing with Rhinos. Go left and get the first
three letters; avoiding the Rhino should be easy. Get the R, then cross the
Hippo (you don't even need to bribe it) and get the rest of the letters,
avoiding the second Rhino.
LEVEL 7: ENOUGH
The Lions are no problem as long as you stay on the Grass. Head left and get
the first four letters and the Bridge. Use the Bridge to cross the river at
the TOP of the screen and then go and get the last two letters.
LEVEL 8: NEITHER
Get the N and lower Apple and bribe the Zebra. Get it to move one space right,
then let the bribe wear off and get one E. Go get the other Apples and bribe
the Hippo to cross the river and get the next three letters. Afterward, bribe
the Hippo again and get the last two letters.
LEVEL 9: PLEASE
Head right one space and wait for the Rhino to move past you. After that, go
right and push the Vehicle to the left when the Rhino is near the bottom to
trap the Rhino; this isn't necessary, but makes the puzzle easier. Now get the
Apple and Bridge, then get the P. Stay close to the left Stone Wall when you
get the L so the Fire Trickster doesn't hit you. Get one E, use the Bridge to
get the next two letters (be sure to place it between the A and S), and then
get the final E.
LEVEL 10: SUGAR
Hooray for Trinkets! As you might have guessed, though, this one is pretty
easy. First get the S, U, and Apple. Next bribe the Zebra and get it to move
two spaces upward, then get the G and Bridge. Go up and use the Bridge to
cross the river at the top of the map and get the A. Now, you can get the R if
you want, but let's get that Trinket. Push the right Boulder down three
spaces, left two spaces, and then one up to get the Apple. Bribe the Hippo and
ride it over to the island with the Trinket and Apple, then bribe it again and
ride it to the left to get the R. Actually, you can just go and grab the
Trinket and not the Apple, then right it to the left and get off it with just
the first Apple if you're quick enough. Anyway, after that, get the R.
LEVEL 11: SURE
Get the two Apples and bribe one of the Hippos and ride it to the island with
the S. Get the S and Apple, then bribe it again and ride it to the U. Get the
Apple that's on the land mass where the U is, then bribe it yet again and get
the R and Apple, then bribe it one last time to ride back and get the E.
LEVEL 12: ABOUT
Head left and get the A, then go all the way over to the right to get the
Bridge, but don't go above where the Bridge is! From where you got the Bridge,
go all the way down and all the way left, then put the Bridge to the left of
where you are. Get the Bridge and the B. Now go back to where you first laid
down the Bridge, go a little right, and lay down a bridge in the downwards
direction. Cross it and push the Boulder upwards until it's just to the left
of the Dart Trickster. Go all the way down, then run to the right past the
Dart Trickster, then go up and get the O. Go all the way back down again, then
head left and cross the Bridge to get the U, then come down and get the T.
LEVEL 13: PARTY
Lions and tigers and letters, oh my! Head left (or you can get the Apples for
fun if you want and then return with the Boulder) and then, staying on the
grass, get the P. Still staying on the Grass, get the A, and then go between
the two left-most Lions to get to the other part of the Grass, then get the R
and T, as before staying on the Grass. Sneak to the left between the Lions
like you did before, then go over to the Y while staying on the Grass, and
then get the Y.
LEVEL 14: HEIGHT
Go right and slide on the Mud to the H. After that, slide down and then right
to get the E, then left to get the I. Slide back to the right and then up,
then slide right and then down. Slide left and then down to get the Bridge,
then slide all the way to the right, then up, then right again, and then head
up, and throw an Apple at the Rhino to bribe it. Lay down a bridge to cross
the river and slide to the left and then down to get the G, then up and to the
right to get the H. Then slide down, push the Boulder into the river and cross
it, and then get the T. To get back to the Raft, slide down, then left, then
up, and then left.
LEVEL 15: LOVE
There's a lot of Apples in this level, none of which you need. To start off,
go down and get the L. After you do that, head upwards and get the O. To get
the O, just run down through the Hot Coal space to grab it, then run back up
through it to get the V, then go back down through the Hot Coals again and get
the E to finish the puzzle. Then take one final run through the Hot Coals to
get back to the Raft!
LEVEL 16: FAVORITE
Technically, this word can be spelled "favourite" as that is the British
spelling of the word, though it'll make you look weird if you're in a country
(such as the United States) that uses favorite as its spelling. But that has
nothing to do with the puzzle. Okay, push the upper of the two Boulders to the
right until it is just above the Dart Trickster. There's a Boulder next to the
one you just pushed, so push it one down to block the Dart Trickster's right
side. Now go back to the beginning and push the lower Boulder to the right so
it blocks the Dart Trickster's downward side, then get the Bridge. Use the
Bridge to cross the River. The first four letters are easy to obtain. After
that, push the highest Boulder all the way to the left and then two spaces
down to block the Dart Trickster, then get the Bridge. Push the right-most
Boulders into the river and then use the Bridge to go up and get the R. Get
the I and T and then get either E; I suggest the lower one because it means
slightly less walking to get to the Raft, as you don't have to get back to the
lower land mass using a Boulder. Anyway, after you get that, head back to the
Raft!
LEVEL 17: BIRTHDAY
Go and get the Bridge, then use it to get to the B and Apple, just be sure to
run so the Dart Trickster doesn't hit you when you pick up the Apple. Go back
(running past the Dart Trickster again) and then bribe the Zebra to get the
other Bridge; for the heck of it you might as well push the Zebra in front of
the Dart Trickster. Anyway, go back to where the B was and then use the Bridge
to go to the right. Get the I, then push the Boulder two spaces left and one
up so you can get the R. You can get the Rhino out of the way by trapping it
with the Vehicle or bribing it, or just getting the T when it's heading right
and then quickly running back. After that, the rest of the letters are easy to
get.
LEVEL 18: QUARTER
Okay, am I the only one who wishes that this was level 25 instead? I mean,
that would mean you are a quarter of the way done. I'm amazed they didn't do
that, especially given that First, Forty, Halfway, and Finish all reflect
where they are in the game. Okay, for the puzzle, Stay on the Grass whenever
possible so the Alligator doesn't hurt you. Get the Q, then grab the Bridge
and use it to cross at the top of the screen. Cross the river and go downward
and then left, then get the U when the Alligator isn't nearby; if the
Alligator is following you at this point, just get far enough away from the
coast (such as going near the E or being in the lower-left "corner" of the
right land mass) to lose it. After you get the U, run back quickly, then go
over to the right to get the A, R, and T when the Alligator isn't nearby. Get
the E, then go back and get the R when the Alligator isn't nearby (as always)
and then go back to the Raft.
LEVEL 19: WHITE
Okay, go right and let the Wind Trickster blow you upward, then go right and
run down, then go left one space and get the W. Now go right, let the Wind
Trickster blow you downward, and then go right and let the third Wind
Trickster blow you upward, and get the H. Head back down and push the Boulder
to the left and cross it, then go over and get the I, T, and E; the Wind
Tricksters here won't hurt you, they'll actually blow you in the right
direction. After that, it's back to the Raft!
LEVEL 20: TONIGHT
This is the second Trinket level, and as you might have guessed, this Trinket
is slightly harder to get. Begin by going right and getting the T and Bridge,
then cross the river on the upper side with the Bridge. Get the O (leave the
Apple as a marker for a little later), but be sure you don't go far enough
left for the Tiger to notice you. After you get the O, get the N and I, then
go and get the Apple. From there, head left and then go one space down to get
the G. The Tiger will notice you. Go one space down to get the G. If you don't
want to get the Trinket, just go one space up and then head right, then get
the H and T. If you DO want the Trinket, after getting the G take one step
downward (this is half a space) and then run upward away from the Tiger as it
chases you. Go in a clockwise fashion around patch of trees that's to your
upper-right and then head down. Once you reach the bottom of the map, run
right and get the potion, then cross the water with it. Get the Trinket, push
the Boulder all the way up to block the Rhino, then get the H and T to finish
the level.
LEVEL 21: AFRAID
Go down and grab the Bridge, then wait there until the Alligator goes past the
F's bottom side. Then go up and lay the Bridge directly beneath the F to trap
the Alligator on the lower side. Get the A, then cross the Bridge and get the
F and R. Now go and get the rest of the letters, just be sure the Alligator is
not nearby when you get them; if the Alligator notices you when you're at the
I, just run directly upward and then to the right, then up again to escape it.
Once you've gotten all the letters, as always, it's back to the Raft!
LEVEL 22: QUITE
This is the first level with the Pits, though they're pretty easy to avoid in
this level. Basically, don't go into them, but that's obvious anyway. Okay, go
left and get the Bridge, then the Q and U. Use the Bridge to cross the river
and get the rest of the letters; other than the fact you have to be sure not
to fall into the Pits, this is actually quite an easy level.
LEVEL 23: AUTHOR
Go right, and while avoiding the Fire Trickster, get the Bridge. Go directly
left from where you got the Bridge and then place the Bridge there to cross
the river, then get the A and return. After the U, T, and H, push the Boulder
upwards, run across it and grab the O, then run back over it. After that, it's
an easy task to get the R.
LEVEL 24: COULD
Go over and get the Bridge, then quickly run back. Now go around and get the
Apple, and as before quickly run back. Bribe the Elephant and push it over to
get the C. Use the Bridge to cross the river BELOW the Dart Trickster, then
get the O. Go back across the bridge and then run up, past the Dart Trickster,
and push the Boulder into the river to the right. Cross it and grab the U,
then go back. Now go and get the L, and as with the Apple and Bridge run away
immediately after you get it. Ignore the D near the Lion and instead cross the
bridge again and get the D that's there to finish the puzzle.
LEVEL 25: BURN
Well, Quarter might have been a better choice for level 25, but I suppose
given what the puzzle is like Burn is fine. Okay, run over and get the two
Bridges without stopping on the Hot Coals, but don't go any further or the
Fire Tricksters will get you. Use the Bridges to get the B and U, then get the
R and N.
LEVEL 26: FRIEND
Go left and grab the F, then go over and get the Bridge while avoiding the
Rhino, but be sure a Gazelle isn't blocking your route. After getting the
Bridge, go down to the bottom of the map when a Gazelle isn't there (that is,
go left and then down, head right when you can, then go down and wait for the
Rhino to be heading up, then head left and down) and then go right and use the
Bridge to cross over to where the E is; don't get the E, just cross over to
near where it is. Go up and get the R, then go back down. Go all the way to
the left, then get the I, then return and get the E. Now for the N. Head left
and then go up and get the N; since it's on the Grass the Lion will not get
you. Now go back to where you got the Bridge to get the D.
LEVEL 27: WERE
Go left, then go up and get the Bridge and the completely useless Apples. Lay
down the Bridge on the top or the bottom of the river (doesn't matter which
route, both require quite a bit of walking to get the other Bridges) and then
go and get the two other Bridges. Now use a Bridge to get to the island with
the E's. After you lay the bridge, go down and then use another Bridge to get
to the island with the R's. Get the Bridge that's there and then use it to get
to the island with the W. Now it's a simple matter of picking up the letters.
After you get the final E, push the upper Boulder into the water to cross the
river so you can get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 28: ADVISE
Get the Apples and the A and D. Bribe the Elephant and push it up, then get
the V and run back before the bribe wears off. Get the I and Bridge, then
bribe the Zebra and push it up so it's on the space to the upper-right of the
Bridge. Cross the river with the Bridge and get the I, and then get the E.
Push the Boulder down into the river, cross it, and then push the other
Boulder below that into the river and cross it also to get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 29: DOLLAR
Go down and get the Apple and Bridge. Use the Bridge to get the D and Apple,
then push the Boulder into the river to cross it, then get the O. Bribe the
left Elephant, push it up, and then push the Boulder to the right. Slide
upward and let the Wind Trickster blow you to the left, then slide down and
then up to get the two L's. Slide right and then down to get the A, then bribe
the Elephant and push it down so you can go over and get the R.
LEVEL 30: SOUR
The third Trinket level. Get the Bridge and use it to cross the River from the
RIGHT of the two spaces you can cross it at. Get the S, O, and U (aren't hard
as long as you avoid the Rhinos). If you don't want the Trinket, just get the
R. If you do, get the Apple and push the Boulder up seven spaces, so it's next
to where the O was. Push it all the way to the right. Now we need to get the
lower Rhino out of the way. When it's as far left as it can move bribe it and
push it down onto the Grass, effectively trapping it. Push the Boulder all the
way down when the upper Rhino isn't near you, then push it five spaces right
so it's above the Bridge. Push it four spaces downward, across the Bridge, and
then two spaces to the right. Then push it one down and one right to block the
Dart Trickster so you can get the Trinket. Get the Trinket, and then the R,
and this puzzle is done!
LEVEL 31: PRETTY
The first two letters (and the Bridge) can be gotten with little difficulty.
After you do that, cross the Hippo to get the E and second Bridge. From above
the above T, lay down a Bridge and then get it. Cross the Hippo again, use the
Bridge to get the other T, and then get the Y.
LEVEL 32: WHOSE
Go left and get the Bridge and the three Apples. From where the upper Apple
is, use the Bridge to cross the river. Go and get the Apple that's to the
right of the Hippos when they're out of the water, then bribe the left Hippo
to get the W; if you only get the W you can head back up without bribing it
again, but if you get the Apple you have to bribe it again if you want to make
it back. Anyway, after you get back, go over and get the H. You can get either
O, but the right one is safer so let's do that. Bribe the right Hippo and
quickly ride it over to the O, then immediately get the S. Bribe the Hippo
again to ride it back, then get the E.
LEVEL 33: INSTEAD
Get the three Apples and bribe the Elephant and push it upward, then go over
and get the I and quickly return for the N. Bribe it again, then go over and
push the Boulder into the river. Get the S, T, and E, then bribe the Zebra so
you can get the A and the Apple. Get the Bridge and use it to cross the river
again, then bribe the Elephant, push it right, and then get either of the D's
and you're done.
LEVEL 34: NAME
Get the Bridge, then go over to the right and get the Apple. Let's make sure
that Alligator isn't a problem anymore, shall we? Wait until it's on the upper
part of the river, THEN lay down a Bridge leading to the N as high as you can
(that is, be right underneath the solitary Stone Wall and face right and place
the Bridge). There, the Alligator can no longer harm you in any of the places
it can be. Cross the Bridge and get the N and the other Bridge. Now lay down a
Bridge leading to where the A is when the Alligator isn't blocking you (such
as when it's on the left part of the river). Get the A, then bribe the Hippo
to reach the M. Bribe the Hippo again, using the Apple you got when you got
the M, then ride it back and get the E.
LEVEL 35: OFF
Go ride and pick up the potion on your way. Run over to the right and up; the
potion will protect you from the Dart Trickster! Once you clear it, duck into
the gap in the Stone Wall to the left, then wait until the Rhino is heading
upward and go up and then duck into the gap that's to the right. When the
Rhino goes down past you, grab the Bridge and then use it to cross the river
to the left. Don't move the Boulder and get the letters. After that, push the
Boulder to the right and cross it, then go back to the Raft.
LEVEL 36: COUGH
A simple puzzle, really; after you get the C and O use the Bridge to get to
the U, then collect the rest of the letters.
LEVEL 37: BLUE
The Alligator is not a problem as long as you stay on the Grass. Get the Apple
and use it to bribe the Elephant, then get the Bridge and use it to cross the
river. Leave the Boulder alone, you need it to get back to the Raft. To get
past the Rhino to get the B, just head down when it does and duck into the
patch of Grass that's beneath the O. When getting the L, avoid the Fire
Trickster. Anyway, the letters are all self-explanatory, so when you're done
getting them, push the Boulder to the left and use it to cross the river to
get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 38: PRIVATE
Push the Jeep to the left so you can trap the Tiger, then get the P. Push the
Boulder to the right and cross it, then get the R, I, V, A, and T. Bribe the
Hippo and use it to cross the river so you can get the E.
LEVEL 39: TRULY
Get the T and R, then wait in the R's space for the Gazelle to pass over you
and go right. Then go over and get the U, cross the river with the Boulder,
get the L, then cross it again and get the Y.
LEVEL 40: FORTY
Ah, the fourth trinket level, as the level's name implies. Go right and bribe
the Elephant and push it right, then get the F and upper Apple before heading
back to get the O and the Apple near it. Bribe the Elephant again and push it
down, then go down and get the R and the nearby two Apples. Now bribe the
Elephant again and push it to the left. If you don't care about the Trinket,
get the remaining letters. If you do, go up and bribe the Hippo and ride it
down so you're just above the Boulder. Push the Boulder down, get the Trinket,
and then cross the Hippo to get the last two letters.
LEVEL 41: BUSY
Go right and get the two Apples. Bribe the left-most Zebra and get it to move
left by moving left, then push it all the way to the left. When the bribe
wears off, bribe the Zebra that's just above the Bridge and push it to the
right so you can get the Bridge. Be sure to stay there until the bribe wears
off so it stays there. Anyway, use the Bridge to cross the river, then get the
B and all the Apples before returning to get the U. After you get the U, you
will notice that there are two Zebras horizontally aligned with the S (not
counting the one you pushed), so bribe the left of those Zebras, walk left,
and then push it to the left so it's right next to the first Zebra you bribed.
Now bribe the Zebra that's to the left of the S and stand to the left of the
Zebra you bribed previously. Once the Zebra gets next to you, push it one down
and wait for the bribe to wear off, then get the S. Then get the Y and the
puzzle is done.
LEVEL 42: THOUGH
Before we do anything else, let's get that Dart Trickster out of the way. Go
right and push the lower Boulder one space right, then three spaces down, then
two spaces left, and then one down to block the Dart Trickster's left side.
Bribe the Zebra and get it out of the way (getting it to move one space right
and then pushing it one space down is sufficient) and then get the T. Push the
upper Boulder all the way to the right, then push it all the way down. Get the
nearby H and nab the Bridge on your way back. Use the Bridge to get the O and
the second Bridge, then use that Bridge to get the U and G, then finally get
the H and you're done.
LEVEL 43: EARLY
Go down and get the lower Bridge, then get the E when the Alligator isn't
nearby. You can place the Bridge in several places to go over and get the A,
but let's trap the Alligator: When it's on the very top part of the river, go
to the right of the Elephant and place the Bridge there. As long as you don't
go above the Bridge on its left side, the Alligator will be unable to harm you
(if you're on the left side of the Bridge, that is, just to the right of the
Elephant, the Alligator cannot hurt you because of where the Bridge is
placed). Anyway, get the A and the Apples, then bribe the Elephant and push it
to the left, then up to block the Dart Trickster. Get the R, then get the
Bridge. Go over and get the L (go down and go to the right on the space ABOVE
the L, because if you go too far down the Lion will attack). Now use the
Bridge to get the Y.
LEVEL 44: FUEL
To prevent the lower Rhino from being a problem, push the Vehicle down when
it's on the left side of the Vehicle to trap it (if you do this immediately
you'll trap it). Go over and get the Bridge and use it to get the F and Apple.
Bribe the Elephant and push it down, then get the U and Apple, then bribe it
again if it's moved back and push it upward and then get the E. To get the L
take the upper path to it, being sure to not get too close to the Fire
Trickster.
LEVEL 45: GRADE
This level is all about sliding, so to collect the letters slide in these
directions in order: Left, up, right, down (you now have the G), up, left,
down, right (you now have the R), left, up, right, down, left, down (you now
have the A), right, down, left, up, left (you now have the Bridge), down,
right, down, left, down, left, then lay down the Bridge to get the D and E.
LEVEL 46: THIRSTY
Get one of the T's and the Apple, then bribe the Zebra so you can get the H.
Get the I, avoiding the Lion (to do this cross to the Grass that's to the
right of the Lion on the Grass's upper point and cross from there when you go
back). Push the upper Boulder to the left and cross it, and then push the next
Boulder into the Pit. Get the R, S, and Bridge. Use the Bridge to cross the
river at the top, then get the T and Y.
LEVEL 47: TRAIN
Aren't levels that somehow fit their word cool? The Gazelles are like a train
in this level, and the Zebras could perhaps be "waiting" for the train.
Anyway, this level is very easy, just get the letters in order and use the
Bridge to get the I and R. The Gazelles are nothing more than an annoyance in
this level, if even that.
LEVEL 48: THOUGHT
Run past the Dart Trickster and avoid the Rhino, then get the Apple. Bribe the
Elephant, then push it down to get the T and Apple quickly. Bribe the Zebra
and get it to move at least three spaces to the right. After that, head right
and go down and wait on the Grass for the Rhino to come by. When it heads
right, follow it and then duck down into the break in the Stone Wall when you
reach it. When it passes you again, go left and get the H; if you hurry you
can go right and then duck between the gap in the Trees, but if you want to be
safe wait for the Rhino to head right and then duck into that gap. After the
Rhino passes you, going left, go over and get the O. Yet again, wait for the
Rhino to come by you and head left, then follow it and go upwards into the
break in the Trees. Go up and get the U and the Bridge, then go back down and
run past the Dart Trickster. Use the Bridge to get the G (you'll come very
close to the Dart Trickster in doing so, but not close enough for it to hit
you!), then go over and get the last two letters.
LEVEL 49: POISON
Cool, the Hot Coals form a skull and crossbones. Anyway, the Tiger will not
cross the Hot Coals so you're safe as long as you don't go into its territory,
and as always when crossing the Hot Coals be sure to keep moving at all times.
Get the P and O, then get the Bridge when the Alligator is going downward so
it doesn't catch you. Now go all the way to the bottom and get the I, then go
all the way up to push the Boulder to the left into the water. Cross it
quickly to get the S, then return. After that, the rest of the letters are
self-explanatory.
LEVEL 50: HALFWAY
As the name implies, you're now halfway done, and it's time for some serious
Zebra madness! Well, if you want the Trinket anyway. If you thought Busy was
fun, wait until you do this! But anyway...
Go up and get the H and Apple, then get the A that's near the Rhino. Cross the
River with the Boulder and bribe the Elephant. Push it all the way down (in
other words, just above the Apple) and then push it one space left so it won't
obstruct you at all. Okay, now get every single Apple and the next three
letters, then use the Boulder to return. Now, from the left of it (just to the
left of the Rhino's path, when the Rhino is going downward and has just passed
you) bribe the second-highest Zebra and it will come towards you. It'll block
the Rhino, but get above the Zebra and push it down to trap the Rhino
entirely, then get the A. You can go over and get the Y, but if you want the
Trinket, it's going to be tougher. I'm going to assume that you know the
techniques for where to get a Zebra where you want it, so I'll just tell you
where to move them. We don't need to move the highest Zebra, so bribe the one
below the one you just bribed and move it to the left, just to the right of
the Grass, that is, one space up and four spaces left of where it was before.
Bribe the next Zebra and move it just above that one. Bribe the next Zebra and
place it just to the left of the one you bribed after the first one, that is,
move it to the space that's to the upper-left of the Zebra that's blocking the
Rhino. Bribe the next Zebra and get it above that Zebra. You now have four
Zebras in a square formation. Now bribe the final Zebra and move it above the
Zebra in the upper-right corner of the "Zebra square". So this is what it
looks like: You have a Zebra just above the Rhino. One space up and one space
to the left from there you have a Zebra. There is a Zebra above and to the
left of that Zebra, and a Zebra above and to the left of it, thus forming that
Zebra square. Above the upper-right corner of the square is another Zebra. Now
you can get the Trinket before you get the Y. And you did it all without
having to move the upper Zebra, and have two Apples to spare!
LEVEL 51: SCHOOL
Push the right Boulder one space to the right to block the Fire Trickster,
then get the Apple. Bribe the Elephant and push it up, then quickly grab the
Bridge and Apple before leaving. Use the Bridge to cross the river on its
south side to get to the S; to do this, run over the Hot Coals until you're
just above the S, then go down to get it. Let yourself be blown right, then go
one space up and run left across the Hot Coals, then cross the Bridge again.
After getting the C and H, bribe the Elephant again, push it up two spaces and
get the O. Go back across the bridge to get the O, then again run left across
the Hot Coals to get back to the Bridge. Now take the upper path to get the L.
LEVEL 52: UNTIL
Get the Bridge and cross the river with it. Avoid the Fire Tricksters and get
the U. Ignore the potion (it isn't necessary) and head back across the Bridge
to get the N. Cross the Bridge again and get the T, then go back and get the I
and L, but be sure to keep moving after you get the L or else you'll restart.
LEVEL 53: GUESS
Is it worth pointing out that the Trees/Grass and the Stone Walls make
question marks? No? Guess not. Oh well, to the puzzle. Push the Vehicle to the
left so it blocks the Dart Trickster; you only need to give it one push, as
long as it clears the Rhino it will be fine. When the Alligator is safely at
the bottom, go up and get the Bridge, then go down. When the Alligator is on
the top part of the river, lay down the Bridge so you can get the G and the
other Bridge. When the Alligator is close to that bridge, lay down a bridge
leading to where the Bridge and the U are. Get the Bridge and U, then use the
Bridge to get to the lower land mass. Run past the Dart Trickster and get the
Apple, then return to bribe the Zebra so you can get the E. Now go back down
and get the two S's, and then use the Boulder as a bridge to get back to the
Raft.
LEVEL 54: SIGN
Despite the Alligator being in this level, there is only one space where it
can hurt you and you're not even going to be on that space until after you get
the last letter, meaning that it's at most an annoyance when you're playing
Bridges. Anyway, head up and to the left, staying on the Grass. When you're as
high up as you can go without leaving the Grass, run left to get the Bridge.
Once you do that the Lion will lose interest and return to its home space. Use
the Bridge to get to the left island that has the Bridge, then use that Bridge
to get to the right island that has the Bridge, and then use THAT Bridge to
get to the right part of the map. Go over to the Boulder and push it to the
left and cross it to get the S, then use the nearby Boulder to get back to the
outer land mass. Pick up the Bridge, then go all the way back to the left to
get the I, staying on the Grass whenever possible. After that, go over and get
the G, then from the left land mass use the Bridge to get the N, then use the
Boulder to get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 55: DOCTOR
Go left and then get the D. It's possible to ride the Hippo around, but it's
much easier (though slightly more dangerous, but still not difficult) to just
go around and get the letters yourself. After getting the D, cross the Hippo
when it's up. Avoid the Rhino and head right, then follow the narrow path to
the O and C. Go back along the narrow path and get the T, then go back along
it again to get the rest of the letters. After that, carefully make your way
back to the Raft and you're done.
LEVEL 56: GUARD
Go over to the Boulder and push it one space right, then three spaces up to
block the Lion. Now go one space right and then all the way up to get the
Bridge and Apple. Use the Bridge to get to where the G and other Bridge are,
and then grab them. Go back and get the U, being sure to approach from the
left side so the right Lion doesn't attack. Use the Bridge to get to the A, go
up and get the R then push the Boulder down to leave that part, then bribe the
Elephant, push it up or down, then get the G.
LEVEL 57: DECORATE
Go down, then go all the way up. Get the D, Bridge, and the two left Apples
(ignore the right one so you don't get attacked by the Tiger. Go back to where
you started the puzzle and use the Bridge to cross to get the E and Apple. Go
over to the upper Hippos and bribe one to ride it down to where the C is. Get
the C and Apple, then bribe one of the lower Hippos to ride down and get the
O. Get back to the R by walking, and after getting it bribe the remaining
upper Hippo to ride it over to the A. Bribe it again to go back up so you can
get the T and E, then collect them.
LEVEL 58: SCHOLAR
Head right and get the Apple and Bridge, then use the Bridge to leave the
island. Bribe the Elephant and push it so it blocks the Dart Trickster, then
run down and get the S. Go back and then go up to get the C, Apple, and
Bridge. Bribe the Elephant again to use it to block the Dart Trickster, then
use the Bridge to cross at the bottom of the map. Push the Boulder up three
spaces so it blocks the Dart Trickster. Go up and get the H. Approach the H
from its left side, then quickly run right after getting it. Get the Bridge by
taking the UPPER path to it, then quickly run down and get the O, then run
back up before the left Dart Trickster hits you. Lay down the Bridge on the
top part of the map to cross, then get the L, then cross it again for the A,
and then go back for the R.
LEVEL 59: WHEN
Go left and get the Bridge, avoiding the Rhino. Use the Bridge to cross the
river at the top, then go right. You're not on the mud. From here, slide down,
right, down, right, down, right, up, left, up, and then get the Bridge. Slide
back down, then left, up, left, up, right, down, and then left. Lay down the
Bridge, then get the E and N without getting hit by the Rhinos. Push the
Boulder into the water to use as a bridge to get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 60: BOUGHT
Ah, the sixth Trinket level. Surprisingly, this Trinket is significantly
easier to get than the previous one. Go up and let the Wind Trickster blow you
to the left; you can't get the potion yet. Go up and then proceed to the left
side of the map, then let the Wind Trickster blow you upward so you can get
the B. Go over to the right and down, and the Wind Trickster will blow you to
the right. Cross the Hippo to get the Apple and the O. If you want to get the
Trinket, now is a good time. Head down and the Wind Trickster will blow you
left, right onto the potion. Once you reach it, run right, then go down and
cross the Hippo. The potion is still in effect, so run right and then go up to
get the Trinket. After that, just let the Wind Trickster blow you downward,
then go left and cross the Hippo again. After going left due to the Wind
Trickster, go up and get the U. Bribe the Elephant and push it down, then get
the G and head back before the bribe wears off. Go right and get the H, then
head right and then go down and get either T.
LEVEL 61: AGAIN
Simple one. Head left and then go over to the Boulder. Push it to the right
and cross it, then get all the Apples. Now head down and get all the Apples
there too. Go over to the Hippo and bribe it with every single one of the
Apples when the Alligator isn't nearby. Note that while you are on the Hippo,
the Alligator can prevent you from moving in a direction if it is next to you,
but it cannot hurt you. So try to avoid it when you're on the Hippo, so it
doesn't cause any problems by blocking you. Anyway, ride the Hippo to the
various islands to get the letters, then ride it back to the left side of the
map so you can get the N.
LEVEL 62: TOGETHER
Go right and get the Bridge. Put it down upward, then go on it. Slide up, then
left to get to the Boulders. Push the upper one left one space and then push
it down so it slides down on the Mud. Take the other Boulder and also push it
one space left, then push it down onto the Mud so it slides down. Okay, now
align yourself vertically with the left Boulder and slide down to it. Slide
left and then slide up to get the T. Slide right, then walk right, then slide
right when you reach the Mud again, then slide down and cross the Bridge. Get
the O, then cross the Bridge again, sliding upward. Slide to the left, then go
as far up as you can on the Grass, then slide right and then down to get the
G. Go right and then down then cross the Bridge, and then go and get one of
the E's, just be sure not to get hit by the Rhino. After that, head back down
and cross the Bridge yet again. Slide upward and then left as always, then
walk all the way up and slide right. Slide down and then left to get the T.
From there, slide up and then right. Slide downward, onto the Boulder, and
then right to get the H. Slide back to the left, then go up, the go right and
then down, back onto the Bridge. Then get past the Rhino again and get the E
and R.
LEVEL 63: LETTER
Whoa, the example I used at the beginning is an actual word in this game?
Weird. Oh well, head left and pick up the L. Push the right Boulder to the
right, into the river and cross it, then get the nearby E. Go over to the
right of the Vehicle and give it a push it to the left, then get the T. Push
one of the Boulders up a space and then push it to the left and use it to
cross the river. Run over the Hot Coals and get the T, then use the remaining
Boulder on this side to cross the River. Get the E, then push the remaining
Boulder one space up and then push it to the left into the river and cross it,
run across the Hot Coals, and then get the R.
LEVEL 64: HOUSE
Head right and get the Bridge, then use it to cross the river. Go up, over to
the Boulder, avoiding the Rhinos (but you should be good at that by now), and

push the Boulder into the river to cross it. Get the Bridge and then push the
lower Boulder into the river to cross it. Go up and get the H. Wait there for
the Gazelle to go left and then push the Boulder into the river to cross it.
Get the Bridges and the O. Use the Bridge to cross the river again, then get
the U. Stay where the U is until the Gazelle goes to the right past you, then
go down and use another Bridge to cross the lower part of the river. Get the
S, then use the remaining Bridge to get to where the Rhinos are. Avoid then
again, then cross the Bridge you placed at the beginning of the level to get
the E.
LEVEL 65: ALONG
Argh, what an annoying puzzle. Not only is there an excessive amount of
walking, said walking requires you to get through an annoying Rhino a few
times. Oh well, let's get started. Go upwards and then go down and get the
Apple. Just to be sure you know, here's how to get past the Rhino: Stay on its
right side, as close to the Pit as you can get. When the Rhino goes by you
moving upward, quickly move left and then run straight down without turning.
This will get you past it; to get back do essentially the same thing (be on
its right side, be next to the Pit) and then run left and straight up when the
Rhino is moving downwards past you. You'll have to go through it several
times, so make sure you know this! Anyway, after you get the Apple, push the
Boulder to the left and cross it. Now, bribe the Zebra and get it to move two
spaces right and one up. When it's out of the way, go all the way up and push
the upper Boulder to the right, then cross it and get the A and Bridge. Use
the Bridge to get back, then push the lower Boulder to the right and cross it,
then go past the Rhino to get an L and the Bridge. From where you got the
Bridge, go left and then down and put down the Bridge to cross the river.
Getting the rest of the letters is easy from here, it just takes a good deal
of walking. After you get the G, push the Boulder downward so you can progress
and then walk back to the Raft.
LEVEL 66: ALWAYS
Head left and get the Bridge. After you get the Bridge, run to the left, then
go up and get the A and Apple. Continue running upwards, away from the Tiger,
then use the Bridge to cross the river so you're safe from it. The Fire
Trickster will barbecue you if you try to progress, so be on the space two
spaces above it (that is, just above the Stone Wall that's just above it).
Face the Zebra and bribe it, then wait for it to come towards you. Push it
down so that it blocks the Fire Trickster's upper-diagonal shot. Okay, now go
and get the two Apples. Go over and bribe the lower of the two right Zebras,
then get move over to just below the Y and it'll follow you and be just to the
lower-right of you. Now go and get the Bridge, then bribe the other Zebra and
get it to go just beneath that Zebra. Now go and get the L. The Wolf should
now be in the upper-right corner of the upper land mass, so you'll be safe
from it. Anyway, use the Bridge to cross the river to get the W, then go back
and get the A and Y, and then cross the Bridge again to get the S.
LEVEL 67: CHILDREN
Head left and go up to get the C. Go left and get the H, then go down and push
the Boulder two spaces to the right to prevent any of the Tigers from causing
problems for you. Okay, now take the upper route to get the I, then come back
to get the L and Bridge. Use the Bridge to get to the Apples, then go back and
bribe the Hippo to get the D. Ride it back, and then the other letters are
easy to get, even if it does take a bit of walking due to the Boulder blocking
the lower path.
LEVEL 68: BICYCLE
Go right and get the Bridge, then get the B and the I. Give the Vehicle a push
to the left and as it rolls that way (and eventually into the water, sinking)
go and get the C. Push the boulder to the left and cross it, then use the
Bridge to get the Y and the other Bridge. Cross the Bridge again and use the
Bridge you got to cross the river where you first crossed it so you can get
the C. After that, the L and E are self-explanatory.
LEVEL 69: HAVING
Begin by heading left, then sliding upward, then sliding right, then sliding
down, and then sliding right. When the Wind Trickster blows on you, you'll go
down and to the right and end up just above the solitary Stone Wall. Now slide
up, then right, then up, and then left to get the H. Now slide right, then
down, and then left. You won't fall in the Pit because the Wind Trickster will
blow you downward so you won't hit it. After you stop sliding, go right and
cross the Hippo and get the A. Next, push the Boulder to the left and cross
it. Similar to what you did at the beginning of the puzzle, slide in these
directions in this order: Up, right, down, right, right, down, right to get
the V. Now for the I. After getting the V, slide left, up, left, and then down
to get the I. This is getting a tad repetitive, but to get the N and then get
to the Hippo slide up, right, down, right, right, down, right, up, down, left,
up, left, and finally right. Cross the Hippo and get the G and you're done.
LEVEL 70: ONCE
Ah, the seventh Trinket level. Avoid the Alligator while solving this puzzle,
but that actually isn't very hard. Well, head left and get the Apple, then
bribe the Zebra and lure it out so you can get the O; getting it three spaces
down and two right is sufficient. Push the Boulder to the right and cross it,
then push the next Boulder to the right and cross it. Go over and get the N,
then let the Wind Trickster blow you upward to get the Bridge. As you may have
just found out, you can't get the Trinket by trying to head left because of
the Wind Trickster; if there was just one space above the Trinket you could
enter you could get it easily. But there isn't a space there, and it wouldn't
be a Trinket if it were that easy to get. Anyway, after you get the Bridge, go
and get the C. Now to trap the Lion. Push the Vehicle down, then go to its
right and run down. Get onto the Grass that's just to the upper-right of the
Lion and the Lion will go one space to the right. Wait for the Vehicle to go
next to the Lion, then go over and get the Bridge. The placement of the
Bridges is crucial if you want the Trinket. Align yourself horizontally with
the Vehicle and when at the water's edge place the Bridge to your left. Cross
it, then place a Bridge to your left and cross it as well. Now push the
Vehicle to the right, over the Bridges. Follow it and then head upwards and
get the Trinket from above while the Vehicle shields you from the Wind
Trickster. Then go and get the E and then head back to the Raft!
LEVEL 71: HOSPITAL
Head left and get the H and Bridge, then use the Bridge to cross the river.
Get the O and S, then give the Vehicle a push upward; don't follow it, just
give it a push. It'll disappear when it stops moving on the Hot Coals. Anyway,
now move the Boulder one space up and two left and then push it up until
you're on the "safe" space within the Hot Coals. With the Dart Trickster
blocked, the rest of the letters are self-explanatory, except for maybe the I;
to get it, run left over the Hot Coals, and the instant you're just beneath
the I go up and get it, then go one space down and run back to the right
before the Lion can get you.
LEVEL 72: MANY
Go left, then run down past the Dart Trickster. Go all the way left, and then
go up and get the Bridge and M and use the Bridge to cross the river. Push the
Boulder one space right and then three down to block the upper Dart Trickster,
then go back to the top, run right, and then go down to get the A and N, but
don't get too far or the lower Dart Trickster will hit you. Now go back up and
run to the left, past the Dart Trickster, to get the Y.
LEVEL 73: USED
Because of where the Hippo is, you can go upward or downward at the start, but
downward is much quicker. Go down and get the U and all the Apples, then use
the Hippo as a bridge to cross the river. Go down and bribe from two spaces to
the right (that is, just to the right of the Grass) bribe the Zebra. Go up one
space and the Zebra will go up also, then go towards you. When it's there (the
Zebra is one space above the right Grass), wait for the bribe to wear off,
then go and get the S and then go over to where the Elephants are. Bribe the
first and then push it up or left, then do the same with the other two, though
if you push one up you'll have to push the other ones up, and if you push the
first one left you have to push the other ones left. Get the E and the Apples,
then repeat the same technique for getting past the Elephants again, though
you'll have to push them all to the right or push them all down to get past
them this time. Then cross the Hippo to get the D.
LEVEL 74: TIRED
Run right and you'll get all the letters. Yes, that's right, to get all the
letters all you have to do is hold down the right arrow key. If you want a
challenge you can take the left path, which I'll explain briefly: Go left and
head down, then go onto the Hot Coals and run left and run (each time only
move half a space or one step) until the Rhinos pass; if you stop at any time
you restart, and if you go too far left the Fire Trickster gets you. After the
Rhinos go back up, run up and get the Bridge, lay it down at the top, use the
Boulder to block the Dart Trickster, then use the other Boulder to block it as
well, head down, run left across the Hot Coals, and then you can get the
letters. But if you don't want to go through all that, just take the very easy
right path.
LEVEL 75: SAID
Go up and get the Apple that's on the Grass (ignore the upper one, because
then the Tiger will be following you). Now head down and when the Alligator
isn't nearby, bribe the Zebra so you can get the S; moving it one space left
and one space upward is good, but if the Alligator is causing problems move
the Zebra just above the Boulder instead; incredibly, if you are to its left,
even if the Alligator comes out at you and gets next to you it won't attack
you. Anyway, when the Alligator isn't nearby get the S. Now for the A. Get to
the patch of Grass that's below the Tiger (that is, the one that's two down
and one left from where the Y is). The Tiger will follow you and will be right
above you. Go one space down, then run right and then down; to be specific,
three spaces right and then run all the way down. Now go left and then up to
get the A. Now we need to get the Tiger back to the upper-left part of the
screen. Get yourself vertically aligned with the Tiger (it should be one
spaces up and two left from the Boulder) and then go one space right and then
one down. Now take one step towards it and then run back to the upper-left
part of the screen, but don't step on the Grass on your way there. When you do
get there, go down onto the Grass and then go all the way down and then head
right. Push the Boulder into the river and cross it, then get the Apple. Cross
the river again with the other Boulder, then get the I and again ignore the
upper Apple. Now bribe the left Zebra to get it to move out of the way so you
can get the D.
LEVEL 76: ALREADY
Ignore the Apples (the Trickster will get you if you try for them) and instead
go over and get the Bridge, pushing the Boulder down on your way. Use the
Bridge to cross the river, then head right but be sure to stay out of the
range of the Fire Trickster. Get the three highest Apples and ignore the rest.
Go back to the Hippo, again being careful to be out of the Fire Trickster's
range, and ride it over to the island with the A's by doing one space down and
then going over to the right to avoid the Fire Trickster. Pick up one A and
then hurry back and get one of the L's. Head back and get the R, then run back
and don't bother with the Apples unless you like restarting the puzzle. Go
back and get the E, then bribe the Hippo again. Bribe it twice, then go and
get the A on the island by riding UNDER the island, and then ride it
underneath the larger island and enter that Island from the right side to get
the D and Apple. Bribe the Hippo one last time and then ride it down to get
the Y.
LEVEL 77: AMONG
Get the Bridge, then go to the space two spaces below the O. Slide right, and
you'll slide back the Dart Tricksters. The Wind Trickster will blow you
downward. Go one space left, then go up until you're just under the Stone
Wall, then slide left to get the A. Slide right and then go down and lay down
the Bridge to get the M. Now, be two spaces below the solitary Stone Wall (one
space above the lower Grass) and go one space left and then slide up. Go one
space right and slide down, then slide left past the Dart Tricksters. Go up
and get the O, then go back to where you were before (two spaces below the O)
and slide to the right again. After the Wind Trickster blows you downward,
cross the Bridge again, run past the Dart Tricksters, and get the N. Run back
and cross the Bridge again. After you cross the Bridge, go one space up and
one left (it's the space two down and one left of the solitary Stone Wall) and
slide up, then get the G.
LEVEL 78: MINUTE
First go right and push the Vehicle upwards to trap the Tiger, then go left
and get the Apple. Bribe the Zebra from below and then push it upward so it
blocks the Lion, that is, the Zebra is two spaces right of the Lion's home
space. Get the M and Bridge. Now we need to cross, but the Vehicle is blocking
the way! Okay, from where you got the Bridge, go two spaces down and two
right. Now go two spaces up, take one step right, then run down and then left.
This will conveniently trap the Tiger. Go down and then push the Vehicle
upwards to completely trap it, and then use the Bridge to cross the river. Get
the Apple and bribe the Elephant to pass it. Get the UPPER I and nearby Apple
and then get the N and Apple. Bribe the Elephant again to get out, then get
the U. Get onto the space that's just above the Zebra and bribe it, then go
one space up, one space left, and then one space up to get the Zebra where you
want it. When the bribe wears off, get the T, then cross the bridge to get the
E.
LEVEL 79: CUPBOARD
Get the Bridge, but we want to place it very strategically. When the Alligator
is on the bottom right part of the river, go to the right-most part of the
land and place the Bridge upward. This will greatly minimize the threat of the
Alligator. Now run up and left, then get into the Grass with the A (don't get
the A, just go to the Grass near it) and then continue left when the Rhino
passes you. Avoid the other Rhino and get the C. Now go all the way back,
avoiding the Rhinos again, and cross the bridge and get the U. Now for the P.
Go down and right until you're at the right-most part of the lower land mass
when the Alligator is to its right. Okay, the Alligator is now to your right
and is facing you if you did this correctly (if it isn't, head left and then
come right again). Now quickly run two spaces left and two spaces down, then
back up. Go up and get the potion, then quickly get the B before it wears off.
After that, just get the rest of the letters while avoiding the Rhinos.
LEVEL 80: FIERCE
You can't push a Boulder when you're on mud, so heading right will get you
nowhere. Instead, head left and go up and cross the Hippo to slide right. When
you reach the right edge of the map, slide down to get the F. Now it's time
for some super-sliding. Right after you get the F, slide left, up, right,
down, and left to get the I. Now for the E. Slide right, up, left, down,
right, down, and left to get the R. Now slide up, left, up to get the C. Now
let's get that Trinket! Slide down, picking up the potion, then slide left.
Push the Boulder into the river (if you don't want the Trinket, just cross it
and get the E) and then run up the water to get the Trinket. Now go back to
the land and then go down and get the E.
LEVEL 81: TROUBLE
Get the Apple and bribe the Zebra to move it out of the way (get it to move
one up, then push it to the left). Get the Bridge, then use it to cross the
river at the bottom. Avoid the Rhino and get the Bridge, but this Rhino is
rather annoying because the Gazelle will sometimes hit it and make it change
direction prematurely, so be careful about that! After you get the Bridge, use
it to get the three Bridges on the island. Use one bridge to get the T, then
go over and get the R, avoiding the Rhino again. Now cross the river on its
upper section by using the Bridge, and then head down and use the remaining
Bridge to get the potion. After you get it, go back up the Bridge, and then
slide left over to the O. Slide right, then up, and then down to get the U and
B, then run right over the Bridge. Now grab the L and E.
LEVEL 82: ROUGH
I don't like this puzzle, but we have to do it. Okay, go up and then go onto
the Hippos when they're up, avoiding the Rhinos. Remember an Alligator cannot
hurt you while you are on a Hippo. Follow the Hippo "bridge" over to the
right, though it may take a while because they're constantly bobbing up and
down. Once you get to the right, get the Bridge and then go up to get the R.
Use the Bridge to cross the river to get the three Apples. Now go back down so
you're to the right of the Hippos. Now for the tricky part. You see that space
that's just to the right of the upper of the left-most Hippos? Surrounded on
five sides by Hippos? You need to get the Alligator there. To do that, get the
Alligator to notice you while you're on the right side of all the Hippos, then
follow the Hippos until you're on the middle of the bottom Hippos. Now it's
time to go get the O. From the middle of the bottom Hippos, go right one Hippo
and then up one so you're not just to the left of the Alligator. Face right
and bribe the Hippo, then ride it up quickly. The INSTANT you are horizontally
aligned with the Bridge (in other words, after going up four spaces) head left
and get it. If you did this right you'll be able to bypass the Alligator
(which is below you) and get it. After you get the Bridge, get the Apple and
the O. The Alligator will now leave. When the Alligator is on the lower part
of the river (beneath the Hippos, it will be there very soon after you get the
O, Bridge, and Apple) bribe the Hippo again and ride it back to where it was
before. Go left across the Hippos and use the Bridge to get the U, then cross
the Hippo bridge again to get the G, then return for the H.
LEVEL 83: DANGER
This level has considerably more Apples than you need, which is strange for
such a later level, but it also means we can overfeed the Hippo to be on the
safe side and still be fine. Anyway, head left and push the Boulder into the
river and cross it. Get the Apples and Bridge, then use the Bridge to get the
Bridge on the part of the land with the E and N. Now use that Bridge to get to
the part of the land with the A (getting the two Apples on the way) and get
the Bridge there. Now go all the way back down and use the last Bridge to
cross the river at the bottom. Bribe the Hippo twice (you can do it if you
bribe it only once but we've got plenty of Apples and bribing it once cuts
things a bit close) and then go two spaces up, one left, and then all the way
directly up to get the D. Now go all the way directly down, one right, and
then go all the way down. Cross the Bridges to get the A, then the N and the
Apples near the N. Bribe the Hippo twice again, then go two spaces up, two
left, and then proceed to the land mass where the G is. Get the G and Apple,
then bribe the Hippo twice again and ride it one down, three right, one down,
two right, and then directly down. Now get the E and R.
LEVEL 84: MOTHER
This self is fairly self-explanatory, but I'm required to give an explanation
for all levels, so here we go. Get the Apples if you want them (you don't need
them, all the Gazelles do is slow you down a few times at worst) and push the
Boulder to the right. Now go over and push the middle Boulder to the left and
get the Bridge. From where the Bridge is, head two spaces right and then walk
upwards carefully until you're just below the Crevasse. Now carefully walk
over to the M and then walk back. Now get the N, and push the remaining
Boulder up two spaces and get the Bridge. Now go to the right side of the
highest mass of Mud and slide left on it. Use the Bridge to cross the river,
then go down and use the other Bridge to cross the river again. To get the T
go to the lower side of the Mud and slide up, then slide back down. Cross the
Bridges again and go over to get the H, then get the E and R.
LEVEL 85: EVERY
Head up and get the first E, then get the Apples and Bridge. Go below where
the E is and use the Bridge to cross the river. Go left but do not slide on
the Mud that leads left, instead take the upper Mud path. After you slide
upwards, slide left and then the Wind Tricksters will move you around. Let's
get getting that Bridge out of the way. Press the up arrow key once to slide
up (go no further) and then when the Rhino goes left, passing over you, head
up and go to the space above the Zebra. Bribe the Zebra, then quickly face
left and bribe the Rhino as well. Now go as far to the left as you can,
pushing the Rhino, and then go one space down; the Rhino is now to the
upper-left of you and the Zebra to the upper-right. Wait for the bribes to
wear off, then slide down and then go up and get the Bridge. Now go back to
the Mud and slide down, then left and then up to get the V. Now slide right,
down, right, and up and push the Boulder into the water and cross it. Go down
and get the E, then again head left but again do not go into the Mud that's to
your left, instead go up and then slide left on that Mud. Like before, the
Wind Tricksters will blow you around a bit, and when they're done slide down,
left, and then down again to get the R. After that, slide up, right, down,
right, and up, then lay down a Bridge so you can cross the river. Go down
across the other Bridge, and this time you can slide to the left and get the
Y.
LEVEL 86: OFTEN
Get the Apples, then go over to where the upper Zebra is. Bribe it, then push
it one space left and then all the way up. When the bribe wears off, get the
O. Now go over to the Bridge and get it, then quickly run down before the Dart
Trickster hits you. Now go to the left of where the Boulder is and lay down a
Bridge left. Go to the right of the Boulder and push it all the way to the
left so it blocks the Dart Trickster. Go down and get the F, then cross the
Bridge several times to get the remaining letters.
LEVEL 87: SEVERAL
Run left over the Hot Coals and then run down to get the Bridge. Now go back
onto the Hot Coals and run over to the left; you may want to stop before you
walk into the Rhino's path if necessary. Once past the Rhinos, continue to the
left and then let the Wind Trickster blow you to the Bridge. Go to the right
and use the Bridge to cross the river and get the S; as long as you do not go
towards the Fire Trickster you are safe from it. Now go to the upper-right
corner of the screen and lay down a bridge to the left and cross it. Get the E
and push the Boulder up one space and then all the way to the left to block
the Fire Trickster, then get the V. The rest of the letters are
self-explanatory.
LEVEL 88: BECAUSE
Due to all the Grass, the Alligator cannot hurt you, and is at most an
annoyance in that it may prevent you from putting a Bridge where you want it;
if it does, try to move it away. Anyway, head right and get three Bridges and
an Apple, then go down and use a Bridge to cross over to where the Hippo is.
Bribe it, then quickly get the B and then go down and cross to where the C and
Apple are (you won't have enough time to go all the way back down). Bribe the
Hippo again with the Apple you just got and then ride it back down and get the
E and the Apple and Bridge. Go back and bribe the Hippo again, then ride it to
where the C is. There's not enough time to ride the Hippo back, so after you
get the C place a Bridge to the left and get the Apple that's there. Now place
a Bridge to the upper-left of the island you're on now and get the Apple on
the next island. Bribe the Hippo again and ride it down, then get the A. Go
back to the Hippo, bridge it again, then ride it up and cross the Bridge to
get the U. Cross the next Bridge and then use a Bridge to get to the island
with the Z. Pick up the Bridge there and use it to reach the final island and
get the S and Apple. Now go back across all these Bridges to where the Hippo
is, bribe it one last time and ride it down, then go over and get the E.
LEVEL 89: LITTLE
Let's get that Bridge first. Go left and get the Apples, then bribe the Zebra
from the left. Move right until you're on the space to the upper-left of the
Bridge, and then push the Zebra to the right (above the Bridge) so that it
blocks the Dart Trickster. Once the bribe wears off, grab the Bridge. Now for
the interesting part. There are three spaces of trees connected to make a
right angle. Go to the space that's the upper-right "corner" of it; in case
that doesn't make sense, I am referring to the space three spaces below the
left L. Now run up past the Dart Trickster, but stop just before you run over
the L. Now go right and get the right L instead. Push the Boulder up and then
cross the river with it. Run right past the Dart Trickster. When the Rhino
leaves downward follow it and then head left, off its trail, when you get a
chance and get the I and Bridge. Use the Bridge to get the two T's on the
island. Now head back up when the Rhino is going downward and cross the river
at the top again by using the Bridge. Go down and get the L, then go right and
then up, then go to the upper-left corner of the map and run directly downward
to get the E.
LEVEL 90: BALLOON
Ah, the ninth, and probably hardest, trinket level. But first we've got to
figure out how to solve this puzzle in the first place! Head right and get the
Apple, then go and get the upper Apple near the upper-right corner of the map.
Now for the tough part. When the Alligator is just leaving the upper part of
the river (just after it passes the Apple's left side is a good time), bribe
the Elephant, then push it to the left. Go up and get the G, then run back.
After the bribe wears off, grab the Apple, then run down to get the A and L on
your way back. The Alligator will be near the L, so don't bother with it yet
and instead head right and get the other L. Here's the tough part: Stay on the
square with the L until the middle Alligator begins to head right, then
quickly run right onto the Grass. A little after the other Alligator passes by
the potion, go down and then left to get the other L. You will notice that the
middle Alligator is now staying in the right "pool" rather than the lower one.
That's good. After you get the L, go up and grab the O and then quickly run
back. If you want to get the Trinket, push the Boulder one left, then three
down, and then three left. Do not get the potion. Now, whether you did that or
not, go over to the Hippo and bribe it, then ride it up to the other O. Bribe
it again when the Alligator isn't nearby (like when it's heading down the
river), and ride it upward and then run right, then take the same path down
you did to get the A. It's easy to get the N even if the Alligator spots you,
but if you want the trinket here's what to do: If the Alligator is below you,
put yourself on the space to the lower-left of the N. Now run to the space to
the left, then quickly run right and get to the space just beneath the
Boulder. The Alligator will charge at you when you run left but once you move
away it will leave and head left. Now, get below the Boulder and push it
upward, into the water, and immediately after you do that run down and get the
potion. Time is now stopped! The Boulder will have started to sink, but if you
did this quickly enough you will still be able to cross it. Run over the
Boulder and get the Trinket, then run back, and then get the N.
LEVEL 91: BUILT
First get the Bridge. To do this, get just above the "T" formed by the Stone
Wall and run right. Just when you get past the upper Stone Wall run upwards
and you'll barely escape the Lion. Now go down (save the potion for later) and
right when you can go left run that way to again barely escape the Lion. Push
the Boulder into the river and cross it, pushing the Boulders upward as you go
to create bridges. You don't need the Apple but you can get it if you want,
then head left and get the B. Make sure the Alligator isn't near you when you
do this next part. Get the lowest potion, the brown one (or for fun, all of
them!), then run down and use a Bridge to get the U while you're protected
from the Dart Trickster. Now go down and push the Boulder into the river to
cross it. Go and get the I, then go and get the L using the same technique you
used for getting the Bridge. NOW get the potion and while time is stopped,
quickly get the T.
LEVEL 92: CHOOSE
This is actually a surprisingly easy level, but you have to be sure to do
something at the beginning. Head LEFT, push the boulder over one space, get
the Bridge, then quickly use it to cross right. Why did we do that? Well, if
you didn't and tried to get the E, the Tiger will be next to it when you get
it, and while you'll get the E, you'll get caught by it just before the game
considers it "done." Weird, huh? Anyway, after you cross the Bridge, slide
right, up, left, and down to get the C, then slide up, right, and down to get
the H. Now slide left, down, right to get the O. To get the other O, slide up,
left, down, right, down, and then go left to get the Bridge. Now for the S.
Slide right, up, left, up, and left and lay down the Bridge to cross. Now get
the E, then push the Boulder down and go to the Raft!
LEVEL 93: PEOPLE
Get the Apples to the left and bribe the Elephant. Push it left and get the P,
then push it all the way left and then go down so you're next to the O. Wait
for the bribe to wear off, then get the two Apples you can currently reach.
Bribe the Elephant that's blocking your path to the E and push it up or down,
then go and get the E and leave before the bribe wears off. Go back down and
get the O. Push the Boulder DOWNWARDS and then get the Apples and the Bridge,
then head back up and get the P. Now bribe the second-lowest Elephant and push
it as far as you can to the right, then go down and go over to the Elephant
that's next to the L. Bribe it and push it out of the way so you can get the
L, then use the Bridge to cross the river and get all the Apples there. There
are three Elephants blocking your way to the E, so deal with them like this:
Bribe the first one and push it down, bribe the second and push it left, and
then bribe the third and push it left also, then get the E.
LEVEL 94: TOMORROW
This is a surprisingly easy puzzle, if you know how to do it. Get the middle T
and run right past the Dart Trickster. Ignore the first O you pass and get the
next one (the one separated from the R by the Stone Wall) and then the nearby
M and O. Go over and get the two R's, then go down and get the left O. Now go
and get the W. See? I told you it was easy!
LEVEL 95: SUPPOSE
Go down and run left and then up to get the Bridge. Now, as tempting as it is
to get the S, the fact it at the moment it's impossible because the Alligator
is following you, and you need to get the other S in order to get the P. So,
instead run down and then all the way to the right and use the Bridge to cross
the river. Cross the Bridge, but unfortunately the Alligator is still
following you. So go directly upward until you hit the Stone Wall, then slide
left. The Alligator will now leave. Slide back to the right and then slide
down. Go two spaces left and slide up to get the S. Now slide down and go two
spaces right, then slide up, then left, up, left, down, right to get the first
P. Now slide up, right, up, right, down to get the other P. Slide up and then
left. Push the Boulder ONE SPACE to the left; DO NOT PUSH IT INTO THE WATER
YET. Instead, take the Grass path all the way around and get the O. Now go
right again and at the first Mud patch you come to slide up, then right, then
up, then left. This time push the Boulder into the river (if the Alligator is
nearby don't push it and instead slide right and wait for it to leave),
quickly cross it and get the S, and then cross it again. Follow the Grass path
like you did to get the O, only this time at the end go all the way right and
THEN slide up. To get the E, slide left, up, left, and then up. To get back to
the Raft, slide down, right, up, right, down, and then walk over to the Raft
and get on it.
LEVEL 96: COUSIN
Head right and then get two Apples: The one that's two spaces left and one
down from the upper Apple (don't get the upper Apple) and the one that's
directly to the right of the Zebra, although they're separated by some Trees.
Anyway, after you get those two Apples, bribe the Zebra twice from just below
it, then walk over to the space where the left Apple used to be WITHOUT
stepping on the Grass. Once you're there, get below the Zebra and push it
upwards so it blocks the Dart Trickster. Get the upper Apple but not the O.
Now let's get the last Apple on this side of the river. Go over to the
upper-right part of the screen. When the Rhino goes downward, follow it and go
downward yourself, then get the Apple and go back up. Now for the letters. Get
the C, which is easy as long as you don't move any farther to the right than
the Stone Wall is, then go up and get the O. Now push the Boulder two spaces
downwards and then push it left and cross the River. Go down and from the
patch of Grass bribe the Zebra twice. Go up and move to the space just below
the Z. Now go around the Zebra to its right side and push it all the way left.
After the bribe wears off, go down and get the U and Apple, then push the
Boulder to the right and cross it. Bribe the Elephant and push it out of the
way to get the S, then go up and get the I. Now go to the upper-right part of
the screen again. Like before, when the Rhino goes downward follow it and then
go to where the Apple previously was. This time wait for the Rhino to head
upwards and pass you, then go down and get the N.
LEVEL 97: LOOSE
I just wish this game had somehow explained the difference between "lose" and
"loose" so that hopefully people would mix them up less; loose is an adjective
and is the opposite of tight, people! It's completely different from the word
lose! While I'm at it, "a lot" is two words, not one. Rant aside, let's do
this puzzle. Go up and get the Apple, Bridge, and L (only the L presents any
danger, just get it when the Alligator isn't nearby), then use the Bridge to
cross the river at the bottom. From the bottom-left corner of the map, face
upwards and bribe the Zebra. Wait for the bribe to wear off, then cross the
Bridge again. Go up and cross the Hippo to get the O and Apple. Now get back
onto the lowest Hippo and go upwards on all the Hippos, then bribe the last
one. Ride it right and get the O, then push the Boulder to the right and cross
it to get the Bridge. Push the Boulder down and from the lower part of the
lower Grass lay down a Bridge to cross to the island; ignore the Apple, you
don't need it. Get the S, then cross the Bridge again and go up to get the E.
LEVEL 98: COUNTRY
Head right, staying on the Grass path. When it diverges into a right narrow
path or a downward path, take the downward path. Head right directly, still
staying on the Grass, until you leave the Grass on the space surrounded by
Grass above, right, and left but not below. This is where we need to get the
Tiger to. So, go one space down (this will align you with the Dart Trickster
but the Tiger will be blocking it) and take three steps (one and a half
spaces) towards the Tiger, then quickly run back into that space surrounded by
Grass on the up/left/right but then take one step right. The Tiger will now be
there, next to you, but you're safe because of the Grass. Now head right and
then go upwards to get the C and the Bridge, but be sure to run fast so you
aren't hit by the Dart Tricksters. Now you need to get next to the T so you
can push the lower Boulder down. To do this, you need to head down while next
to the Rhino so that the upper Dart Trickster doesn't hit you. Once you get
aligned with the T, stop running down. Head right and push the Boulder
downward until it's to the upper-right of the O. Push it two spaces left and
then one down to block the Dart Trickster. From above it, just go one right
and one down to get the O, but the Tiger is far enough away that it won't hurt
you. Now go up. Follow the narrow Grass path up and then take a right when it
diverges. Head up and get to the left of the upper Boulder, then push it four
spaces left. Push it one up afterwards when the Rhino isn't nearby, and then
push it into the river and get the U before running back. Now go right and
take the right-most path down to get the N; fortunately you are just far
enough away from the Tiger that it won't chase you. Now go back up and head
left along the narrow Grass platform. When it diverges, go down and then left.
Run up past the Dart Trickster to get the T, then go down and use the Bridge
to get the R. Now go right and take the narrow Grass path again, and get the
Y.
LEVEL 99: LIGHT
Whoa, we're almost on the final level! But we've got to do this one first, so
let's get to it! Go right and then push the Boulder to the left and cross the
river. Wait for the Rhino to pass you going upward, then run left. Go around
the left Boulder and when the Rhino is going downward run up and push the
other Boulder into the river and cross it. Get the upper Bridge and push the
Boulder into the river and cross it. Push the next Boulder one space left,
then get above it and push it one space down, then run right away from the
Lion. And now it's time to share an incredibly cheap trick. Wait in the space
to the upper-right of the Boulder and just when the left-most Rhino goes past
the right Boulder while going up, go one space left so you're just above the
Boulder. The Lion will move to attack you. Wait until it's moved one space
downward and then go two spaces right, where although the Lion will go right
next to you it will lose interest and walk away. If you timed this just
perfectly, here's what will happen: The Rhino will be in the upper-left corner
of the screen just when the Lion tries to return there. The Lion will be
trying to return to its home space, but the Rhino will be there. The Lion
can't return to its home space because the Rhino is there and the Rhino can't
turn around because the Lion is blocking it. This paralyzes both and leaves
them unable to move. The "proper" way is to bribe the Rhino to block the Lion,
but that uses up some Apples and makes it harder to deal with the later
Rhinos. Anyway, using the special technique I mentioned may take a few tries.
After you get it to work, go all the way down and use the Bridge to get the L
and Apple. Now head back up and push the Boulder one space up, then to the
right and cross the river using it. Get the I and Bridge. Bribe the Elephant
and push it one space upward, then go one space right. Wait for the Rhino to
pass you while it's going downwards, then run right and go up to get the G and
Apple. Wait for the Rhino to get to the top again, then when it goes down run
after it and go to the space just to the left of the Elephant. Now wait for
the Rhino to pass you while it's heading upward, then go right and run
downward. Head left and then quickly bribe the lower Rhino, then get the H and
Apple. Head back up and bribe the upper Rhino if necessary (it may not be
necessary, but it definitely makes it certain it won't hurt you; if you did
not use my special trick you will have to get over to the Elephant without
bribing the Rhino, which can be difficult), then bribe the Elephant and push
it to the left. Now use the Bridge to cross the river to where the T is. Avoid
the final Rhino, or just bribe it if you have one Apple left, then get the T.
Push the Boulder into the river and cross it to get back to the Raft.
LEVEL 100: FINISH
Yes, it's the finish. The final puzzle. It's also the tenth and final Trinket
level. It's a shame they didn't somehow put in every animal and obstacle into
this level, but I suppose there's not enough room in the map to do that. Oh
well, you'll have your hands filled with the tricksters anyway. Okay. Let's
begin by trying to get the Bridges and possibly the Trinket; the Trinket is
right on the way so there's no reason to not at least try to get it, but you
have to be fast. Go down and get the blue potion, then run up and slide left
across the upper part of the Mud and then run left and then up so you're
aligned with the Wind Trickster. The potion will give you temporary protection
from it, so run left quickly and get the first Bridge. Run up and get the
second Bridge, and then try for the Trinket; if you went fast enough you'll
have enough time to get it before the protection wears off. If you didn't,
restart the level and try again if you want to get the Trinket. Anyway, after
you've gotten the Trinket (or if you didn't get it and don't care), slide to
the right across the Mud to return, then go down and get the brown potion
(which offers dart protection). Afterwards head down and slide left across the
Mud and grab the F while protected against the Dart Tricksters. Push the
Boulder to the right so that it blocks the lower Dart Trickster, as your
protection will probably run out because you can return. From the left of the
Boulder, run directly upward and you'll make it past the left Dart Trickster.
Now go to the right across the Mud again. Go up and get the orange potion,
which protects you from the Fire Tricksters. Quickly slide over to where the
Fire Tricksters are, run over and get the I, then push the upper Boulder two
spaces left and the lower Boulder as far downwards as you can so it blocks the
left Dart Trickster. If you want you can go up and push the upper Boulder all
the way downward to completely neutralize the Dart Trickster, but as long as
you don't enter its range you'll be fine anyway. Anyway, get the N and then
head right and slide to the right across the Mud like you did after getting
the F. Use the Bridges to get the I and S. As the Dart Tricksters are now
safely neutralized by the Boulders, take the lower path and then run up just
to the right of the H (you can't go up directly to get the H because of the
Wind Trickster). When you're just to the right of the H, run left and you'll
get it. Now just slide across the Mud again and then go back to the Raft.
Phew! You've finally beaten the game...
LEVEL 101: SURPRISE
..well, okay, we're not quite done with the game yet. But this level is by
far the easiest level; the level only exists in the game as a joke. Press
right once and you will slide across the Mud to get the S, and then the Wind
Tricksters will blow you along the rest of the level and you will get the
remaining letters automatically, and will even be returned to the Raft!
WARNING: SPOILERS HERE. DO NOT READ THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ
THE SPOILERS. After you complete the level, you'll have to do one more River
Spelldown, and then you'll see the ending. You'll come to a large waterfall
and will climb up the cliff the waterfall is on. At the top is...a GIANT
faucet! Yobi observes that "someone left the faucet on" and you get to the top
of it and turn the handle, turning off the faucet and ending the flood. Yobi
congratulates you, and says that perhaps you and him shall meet again, which
happens in the sequel, Spelling Blizzard.
Okay, now you've won the game! If you want, you can go and play Spelling
Blizzard if you have it and haven't played it already (or you can just play it
again if you have).
