Welcome to SiN Episodes: Emergence for the PC, a First Person Shooter by
Ritual Entertainment released in 2006.
This guide is for the single player mode only. Please do not contact me for
technical support, or any other questions regarding bugs, glitches or anything
not game related. Note that there are often updates released which may alter
things described in this guide.
Suggestions, comments or errors - e-mail me about it. Enjoy!
Most controls are outlines in the Options where you can tweak them to your
liking.
Characters:

John R. Blade is the leader of HardCORPS, he wants to bring Elexis to justice.
Elexis Sinclaire owns SinTEK, the largest medical corporations in the world.
Her aim is to evolve humans by any means necessary at her U4 labs.
JC is an expert hacker at HardCORPS.
Jessica Cannon is a rookie at HardCORPS. However, Jessica is able to help out
in many tight situations and highly skilled.
Viktor Radek is a drug lord and in dealings with Elexis.
Weapons:
````````
The M90 Magnum is Blade's default weapon. It isn't very fast but can still
take down most enemies. Secondary fire can shoot through objects.
The Assault Rifle is very fast but eats ammo fast, too. Secondary fires
explosive grenades.
A Scattergun feels like a Shotgun that it takes down anything at close range.
Secondary sets off shrapnel, good for getting those enemies hiding around
corners or obstacles.
Incendiary Grenades light everything around them on fire. You can throw them
at any point while carrying another weapon.
Go past the two mechanics talking and left past the fork lift down a few
stairs. Talk to Martin who will lower the force field. Walk down the pier and
talk to Garrett. Afterwards you will have to quickly jump down to the lower
walkway and follow the path. Jump over the board, then crawl underneath the
next one. Enter the sewer pipe and turn left before the mercenary can get a
chance to fire at you. When you exit the pipe, turn right and go up the ladder
to meet up with Jessica. Finally you receive your first gun.
Melee attack (default 'Q') the window to the room and pick up the canister and
ammo from the shelf. Insert the canister into the medstation, then use it to
max out your health.
Go back out and wait for the mercenaries to knock down the door. Shoot them
and go through it. Watch out for the truck that will crash at the left side,
simply walk behind the other truck on the right and wait for that to happen.
The warehouse door will open and enemies come out. After you took care of them
go through it and exit at the back. Enter the door on the right, shoot the
tanks on the blue hose thing to take care of some enemies, then shoot the rest
around you. The small room on the right has a med canister and an incoming
comm from Jessica. The medstation is on the right of the stairs on the left
side. To remove the empty canister just press the button above. Move on up the
stairs and open the smaller door.
Take out the explosive barrel below to open the gate, then jump down and leave
the alley. There is a mercenary waiting in the small generator area on the
left and a few up ahead. Walk on the narrow boardwalk where they were standing
that is just at the edge with the fence. You will fall down into the water.
Swim into the docking area on the right and climb up the ladder. There are
enemies here to take down. Enter the next dock house, careful there are some
enemies dropping in from above and another one down the alley behind the
closed gate. When they are all dead, exit and turn left down the pier. At the
water front, jump into the water and climb up the ladder on the other side.
Enter the small lighthouse and kill the mercenaries. Enter the door the guy
kicked in. Shoot the jetpacker in the distance. At the end of the path a few
enemies will have arrived by van. Once they are taken care off, the warehouse
door will open, of course filled with plenty of more troops. There are
explosive tanks at the corridor on the other side to help you. Exit at the
other end and enter the next building.
Quickly run to the right into the small corner by the locker. The crane will
start spinning but cannot reach you there. Shoot the blue wires at the top to
disable it completely. After the enemies have stopped coming, the small door
nearby should open an a mercenary wait behind it. Go up the stairs, there are
more troopers lurking near the vending machines. Continue past security but
wait as the door will blow up. Take out everybody and exit the building.
Outside, shoot the guy on the right and go up the ladder, then the fire escape
to arrive outside the office windows. Inside are plenty of mercenaries waiting
for you. Take care of them and leave via the door to the staircase. Go up
(down is a med canister and the security station from earlier). Make your way
through the corridors and turn left into the conference room. Jump out of the
window, then onto the roof and finally the pipes on the left. Chat with JC
before dropping down to the bottom. Jump over the railing on the left side,
not into the deep end.
Enter the generator building up head. I suggest running through this quickly
as enemies will appear on the upper side, you will be in a bad spot down here.
So take care of the guys upstairs and go down the circular staircase. There
are a couple of mercenaries waiting half-way down. When you get to the water
try to snipe most enemies in the room from here, then jump into the water and
swim through the gap on the right (crouch to get through!). When you get to
the second generator you can jump to dry surface and continue on to the
computer. Extend the bridge. Use the wheel at the shutter and get through. Go
straight and through the emergency exit.
<SECRET> Go left and around the building, there is a breakable crate with
goodies.
Climb the ladder on the other end, shoot the tank behind the fence to gain a
small advantage in the upcoming dogfight. Walk right and into the fenced area.
Take out all the guys until you reach the door. There is a Scattergun waiting
for you. Be careful as the mercenary behind the door also yields one. Walk
right and go up the stairs, then climb the ladder.
Jump into the container and let Jessica transport you to the other side. There
are a bunch of jetpackers incoming so take them out quickly. At the other end
you will want to leave the container. Eliminate any remaining jetpackers or
ground troops. At the end of the train, enter the last cart to get through.
Battle the guys in the area, then tread down to the beach. Follow the path
until you reach the warehouse shutter.
Open the shutter and take out any enemies with a death wish. There is one
waiting in the container in the center. When you get to the other side some
troops will drop in but there are also some nicely placed explosive barrels
for you to snipe. Use the computer in the adjacent area to lower the ramp. A
couple of more mercenaries have arrived in the main room. Finally, walk down
the ramp and enter the elevator.
Walk forward into the security scanning area. You will need to place the data
spike on the console. Soon the windows will open with sentries on each side.
Simply duck against one wall and shoot the enemies on the side you do see.
After a while you can remove the data spike again. By then the windows will be
closed again. More mercs are waiting around the corner. Enter the first room
on the right and switch off the computer on the far left. Take the flight of
stairs down and make your way to the next room.
Open the hatch door, then dive down and turn the wheel. Dive up on the other
side all the way to the top. Open the hatch door here. Battle the mercenaries
and go down the ladders. Open the hatch to enter some water. Jessica will
contact you at this point. Swim left and stick to the wall as there is another
room you want to swim into. Shoot all enemies waiting for you here. Climb up
the ladder. Enter the processing & Distribution/Cooling door, then enter the
first room on the right. Melee attack (or shoot) the grate and jump down. Walk
through the gas and swim through the shallow water to a ladder. Take out the
security. At the top pull a lever to cool the coils and quickly run through
them. In this room, jump on the thin orange pipe and onto the red one. From
here jump on the gray pipe and then finally the platform. Quickly run through
the heated room. Shoot the guys and exit on the other side. Kill more enemies
and climb the ladder.
Open the hatch door and battle the jetpackers arriving through the open roof.
Climb down on this side, run across and climb up to exit the large hall.
Defeat everyone in the cargo bay. Go up the lab upstairs and into Shipping. Go
up the ladder and crawl to the room with the many flammable items. Enter the
lab. You may kill the two people in the chambers by turning them into mutants.
The next lab will have an escaping mutant but you cannot reach him so move on
down the stairs. Enter the security station and place the data spike on the
console. Enemies will drop in both this room and the previous one, plus the
station often has a grenade dropping down. After a few groups you can take
back the data spike again.
Return to the cargo bay where the small security office is open now. Use the
computer to open the bay doors. Jump down to the cart, press the button and
jump out before it takes off. Enter the large hall you opened up. Defeat all
enemies left and right, then climb the stairs to the right. The crane can be
controlled with the three icons on the glass. Press them once for direction,
press them again to get the crane moving into the other direction. For example
press <- -> once to make it turn left, press it again to make it go right.
Move the crane so it is positioned that you can jump onto it through the left
most glass window. From here you will want to jump over to the far ledge. Thus
position it high enough. When you've made it, run up to the room where Viktor
is waiting.

After the scene, return to the closed hatch door which will now open. Shoot
the first mutant. There are a few more at the security room, as well as a wall
sentry. Return to the cargo bay where a merc is battling some mutants as well.
After that, two more will jump up from the lower side. Continue on to the big
hall with the open roof. A lot of jetpackers are battle a few mutants. You can
take out the jetpackers from the entrance and pick out the mutants from above.
Climb up on the other side and enter the next area. More battles, finish
everyone off down the ladder.
<SECRET> Go up the stairs, shoot the guy and continue up the stairs. Jump
through the fire to a breakable box which you may want to shoot
before you jump there.
Enter the door instead of going up the stairs. Destroy the wall sentry and
several mutants. Continue on to the Raw Material Storage. The lower area has
a mutant lurking at the broken gate. Kill it and the few more that appear in
this corridor. You will end up at the Pit.
Walk down the long circular staircase, turn left and go up the ladder. Turn
around the corner and enter the door on the right. Smash the door and go
through into the tunnel. Two mutants will attack you, afterwards jump over the
large pipe and continue on. More mutants. Use the pipes as stepping stones to
get around and up to the higher ledge. Follow the path, jumping pipes as
needed. In the large sewage area you will see some fighting going on. Get down
and kill the remaining enemies. From where you entered the area you want to
get to the ledge on the lower left. You can only reach it via a barrel so drag
one in front of the wall. Climb the ladder, kill mutants and get a new gun. At
the medstation, destroy the boxes and the boards behind it. Crawl through to
arrive at a very large area. It's time for the first boss!
Simply dance around the Giant Mutant, avoiding his only distant attack. Like
JC says you can use the secondary Magnum fire to get him good. When he's dead,
two marines arrive from the back, take them out and go into the door they came
from.

HIGH RISE G0350

Fight through the large tunnel, at the end is a small maze. It's not hard
enough to describe in great detail or draw map, simply make it to the right
side and you will find a path leaving the area. The enemies are tougher now,
use the green barrels to your advantage. Jessica will pick you up with the
car. Enter it to move on.
Next time you get out you will have to clear the area first. Once that is
accomplished, run up to the security station and open the door via the
computer. Hop back into the car. Soon you'll arrive at the SinTEK building.
When you get out, quickly take out the enemies that surround you. There is
only way to press onwards. In the next room JC will contact Jessica. When they
are done chatting, press the button in the small room to open the door ahead.
Enter the parking area, the new mini-gunner enemies are quite tough to take
down with the Magnum alone. Kill them all and take the ramp up to the next
level. Dodge the barrels on the way up, and beware of enemies waiting behind
the van. Jessica will soon leave you alone again.
Run along to the stairs, you can avoid the enemies below if you take out the
upper ones quickly. Up the stairs is a door with barrels behind it, blow them
up to remove it. The next door gets blown up by the enemies, and they have all
come to fight you. At the medstation turn left, blow up the wall-mounted gas
tank to kill the enemies within the room. There will be a lot of mercs
dropping in from above, be well prepared to take them on. When it's all clear,
check out the box next to the shutter. JC will inform you that a new relay is
required to open the shutter. Walk into the room nearby and look at the relays
on the shelf. JC will mention which ones are good to use. Carry it over to the
box and then close it to open the shutter. Move on through. Defeat the enemies
straight on and some will come from the doors on the right. This is where they
were dropping down from just now. Continue on and go up to the next floor.
This large area is swarming with flying sentries. Be careful as you go up the
stairs and left past the reception. Make your way past the statue, Jessica
might comment on it. Open the left of the two larger doors, shooting enemies
as you go up. As you walk along the higher path the right door will kick open
and more enemies emerge trying to harm you.
<SECRET> Continue on and look behind the last plant on the left to find a
breakable box.
After a short walk you will see Jessica fight a bunch of enemies. Help out or
leave her to it. In case you haven't noticed, Jessica doesn't die so you can
make her do a lot of fighting. The problem is that she often tags along with
you so if you hide behind a pillar, she will do the same. Either way, after a
short conversation with Elexis enemies will start swarming in from the upper
ledges. When you hear the elevator sound there are also a new group of mercs
on your level. They do, however, also contain supplies once you cleared them
out. After a pretty long fight the last door to open is where you need to go.
Fight your way through the office area, many mercs and flying sentries around
here. At the back take the stairs up and make your way around to the door.
Jump down the ledge.
Open the right door and enter the security room. After the short chat with JC
you will be alone again. Enter the elevator and select the 24th floor. 10, 15,
20 and 25 have nothing of interest. Turn right and enter the door straight
ahead. Turn left and go up the stairs, then leave through the exit.
Jump over the barrier and across the gap. Kill the foe coming from the door
climb up the ladder on the left. Walk across the beam when it is clear to do
so, and carefully navigate at the edge of the building. Jetpackers and mercs
lurk around nearly every corner. Use the wheel to lower the next beam and walk
across. Climb up the next ladder you get to, past the statues. Enter the
building. Follow the path of open doors, you can't go much wrong here. When
you are back outside you will see more statues. Climb up yet another ladder.
Edge around the building and enter the door at the end. Go up the stairs.

FINALE G0350

Stock up on supplies before you go outside. Watch the scene, you can't do
anything about Jessica at this time. The door on the right is now open, plus
has an enemy to slay. Follow the path around the side of the building. When
it ends, jump to the narrow ledge slightly below and edge around the corner.
The door on the right has the final medstation and plenty of supplies. When
ready, go up the ladder. You will face another Giant Mutant. The only
difference is that it is being helped by the fighter firing rockets once in a
while. There are also lots of supplies crates lying around. You can pick those
up much easier after defeating the Giant Mutant, and concentrating on the
fighter alone. It doesn't really crash, but start smoking and descent to where
you can't see it anymore. A rescue helicopter will land at the extended
platform. Simply walk into it to finish the game.
No ending movie, but a preview of upcoming events instead.
