SHENMUE III - Niaowu best gambling method

Welcome to my first FAQ ever.
After almost 20 years, the legendary series of Shenmue, continues...
Shenmue 3 is a great and unique game, but it can be also a little demanding,
especially in this chapter where earning money and
gaining experience as a martial artist are two important parts of the
experience.
This miniFAQ will focus on the best gambling method I discovered to earn
"tokens".
Tokens can be exchanged for prizes (like items, clothing etc.) and prizes can be
exchanged with money.

Purpose of this MiniFAQ?
-Earn lots of Tokens with the easiest (at least for my experience) and time
saving "gambling" method.
-This method use the Lucky Hit Stand minigame.
-Reach easily 500.000 token by gambling, so you can unlock also the three PS4
trophies:
Novice Gambler
Owned over 20,000 tokens
Experienced Gambler
Owned over 50,000 tokens
King of Gamblers
Owned over 500,000 tokens
What do I need?
-Shenmue 3 game (of course)
-a save file with access to Niaowu, the second area of the game
-at least 10000 tokens (to avoid frustation, I'll explain this later).
What's the Lucky Hit stand?
-Lucky hit is a gambling minigame in Shenmue III (also available in Shenmue II),
where you have to drop a ball on a wooden stand.
The ball will roll on pins attached to the stand, if the ball hit the pocket
with the red circles, you win.
If the ball hit one of the the white crosses, you lose.
These are the basic rules, it slight varies depending on the table.
In our case, the table we will use has a rule to hit the red target 3 times in a
row, it means you can't miss.
Ok let's get started
1) You need to reach Niaowu (this is the second location of the game, sorry but
this method works only in Niaowu)
2) Go to the casino "The Golden Goose", it's the big building on on the "New
Paradise" area, don't worry if you can't find it,
you'll reach this area also during the story.
3) Find the Lucky hit (pachinko) stands inside the Golden Goose casino, there
are six tables in total, three on the left with the
backers photos, and three on the right with "women artworks", these are the ones
we are looking for.
4) Save your game and talk to the gambler woman next to these three stands and
choose to play.
Now comes the interesting part:
5) After talking to the woman, Select MAX Bet 2000 tokens (I suggested to come
here with at least 10000 tokens, it's easy to earn
them with standard gambling methods, so don't worry)
6) Select the third table on the right, the one with the "angry woman in red
with the beer".
7) When it's time to play, move your hand all the way to the right corner of the
table
8) OPTIONAL: notice that the hand will go up and down a little, release the ball
soon after your hand start to go up
9) The ball has to hit the target 3 times in a row
10) That's it
----With this method you can bet 2000 tokens and win back 60000 tokens!----
If you have 10000 tokens, you can try 5 times before needing to reload the save
file in case of losing, so it's even more
convenient than other gambling method where you have to reload the game every
time you lose.
Even if you win only on the 5th try, you'll still profit.
TIPS: in Shenmue 2, weather affected the physics of the game and so the way the
ball bounce in lucky hit stand minigame. While
it's not confirmed at the moment it could be the same in Shenmue 3.
In my experience, this method works during afternoon in sunny days.
Can't confirm for now if it works better or worse on rainy days.
Frequently Asked Questions and Answers:
Q-Why using this method?
A-with this method I earned 500.000 tokens in less than 1 hour in a few
sessions, I don't think there is a better and faster
method in Shenmue 3 to earn tokens, at least with gambling.
Q-On which version does it work?
A-I discovered this method on version 1.00 of the game (PS4 edition). Right now
I cannot confirm if it work on later versions.
Q-I can't win at all!
A-Even with all the tecniques, it's still a luck-based game (it's called "lucky
hit" after all), sometimes you can hit the target
3 time in a row on the first try, other times you need to try 10-20 times before
you win.
Also the game sometimes "cheats", so if after 4-5 tries you can't get even a
simple 2 ball in a row, simply reload the game.
Q-I finally won!
A-Good, now repeat at your heart's content, You don't need to do the 500.000
tokens all at once, this is a method you can use
when you have free time during your playthrough, so don't forget to enjoy the
game.
