Quest for Glory II - Trial by Fire

Shapeir
-------
All: Speak to Shameen and xyzzy. Go outside and visit the money changer (Ali
Chica can tell you where she lives). Change all of your Spielburg money for
Raseiran coin. Return to the gate plaza and buy the map and compass from
Ali. Note that you can save a lot of money by typing 'bargain' instead of
'buy', if your communication skill is high enough. Also visit all katta on
the various plaza bazaars and buy one of everything they got: a waterskin,
leather bag, pot of dirt, incense from the apothecary.
Speak to Keapon in the magic shop, Harik in the apothecary, and Rakeesh and
Uhura in or around the Guild. You should return to the Guild often to train
with Uhura. In a couple of days Ali Fakir will appear in the saurus lot and
try to sell you a saurus; you must buy it so you'd better save some money
for it. Then there's Aziza to visit, and the astrologer, both in a dead end
somewhere in the city. Speak to the astrologer. To get into Aziza's house,
you need to answer a couple of questions... the answers are your name,
Rakeesh, demon (or Keapon, air), then Aziza. Speak to her, too.
Wizard: Buy every spell you don't have yet in the magic shop.
Thief: Buy the magic rope in the magic shop.

Desert
------
All: There's four places of interest in the desert. The first is the dervish,
two screens east and four south (or somewhere around there). Speak to him.
The other two are Merv (four west of Shapeir), Julanar (eight east) and
a bizarre beast that won't appear until a while later (five west, three
south or somewhere near). Go to Merv now; you can't do much at Julanar yet.
Fighter: Lift a stone and take the feather.
Mage: Cast levitate and pick a feather.
Thief: Use the rope and take a feather.
All: There's lots of critters in the desert. Fighters get extra points for
 killing one of each. Jackalmen and brigands tend to carry money with them;
scorpion tails and ghoul claws can be sold to the apothecary. Also you can
sell a piece of beard from the dervish to Keapon.

Elemental Business
------------------
All: All appear in a couple of days; when an elemental appears you have about
three days to beat it before it destroys the city. The first is the fire
elemental; it appears immediately outside the inn. Drop the incense then
move north to lure him; use the lamp and spread water on the elemental to
capture him, then take him with you.
Next is the air elemental. You'll need the smith's bellows for this.
Fighter: Ask the blacksmith about his barrels, then say you need them. He'll
give them to you if you beat him at arm wrestling. Given enough strength
you should be able to beat him; if not, whine until he sells it to you.
Wizard: Either whine until it's given to you, or go there at night and
levitate up to steal the barrels.
Thief: During the night, use the rope and steal the barrels.
All: Now go visit the air elemental in the palace plaza.
Fighter: Walk into the elemental and drop some dirt.
Wizard: Levitate in the center of the plaza, then drop the dirt when the
 elemental is right underneath you.
Thief: Throw some dirt into the elemental's nozzle on top of it.
All: Now the elemental is paralyzed; use the bellows to capture it. Your next
stop is the earth elemental, you can find him in the alleys around the
 guild plaza.
Fighter: Talk to Rakeesh and borrow his flaming sword. Use it to beat the
elemental, then return it to him.
Wizard: Cast flame dart until it goes down.
Thief: Go to Harik and buy some powder of burning. Toss it at the elemental.
All: Take some elemental pieces with you in the sack. The final elemental is
the one of water, in the fountain plaza. Drop a watersack on the ground; if
you don't have a full one, refill it at the Dervish's pool. Then use the
bellows on the elemental to capture it. Take the sack back.

Other things to do
------------------
All: Once you've defeated the earth elemental, speak to Aziza about the tree,
then go visit Julanar the tree woman. Give her some water and tell her
about yourself. Then give her the earth and tell her about the elemental.
Finally give her a hug and speak her name. Take the fruit with you.
Harik can make you a dispel potion with this fruit and a griffin feather.
Take the potion to the bizarre beast in the desert; feed him water, then
pick a hair. Use it on the potion and make him drink it.
Fighter: Ask the smith about EOF a couple of times. When you've beaten the
elementals, you should be given a note (in the Guild) about where to meet
them. Be there. You'll be captured and your sword taken away. First get
rid of the chains. Then duck past the guard and run to your sword. Use it
to defeat the guard. Now you have two options - kill him for a higher rank
in the EOF, or let him go if you ever want to be a Paladin.
By the way you can buy a fine sword and chainmail at the smithy.
Thief: At night, visit the money changer and make the thief sign. There's two
missions for you; firstly, you can rob that jerk of a smithy. You can pick
the lock on his door, then take whatever you want inside. If you oil the
ground, you can move the anvil and take the money underneath.
Second, there's a house you can break into by picking the lock.
