If you see a Big X next to the section then that means it is currently
under construction right now and will be updated ASAP.
If you see two big X's, then that means this section cannot/will not be
updated properly due to the fact that I can't play the game anymore. But
if I do, I will definitely update this section right away without you
having to warn me about it.

--- I. Introduction ---
Wassup people. The name's Matthew. Call me Matt if you want, I don't
care. Welcome to my FAQ. This is my very first FAQ and I am not really
good at writing up FAQ's. I recently heard this game during the middle
of August, or when this another MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer/Moronic( I
like to call it that also) Role Playing Game) called Ragnarok Online
when servers were going to be down for 3 months. I just went to the
Gamefaqs.com boards of Ragnarok Online, and many people kept saying that
the game would be down for 3 months. So, I wanted to new game, and asked
people if they heard of any new MMORPG's. Then Priston Tale came up, and
I just started to download this game.
--- II. About the Game ---
This game has no storyline so there's no point in this game. Just like
all the other MMORPG's like Ragnarok and Diablo 2. All you simply do is
point and click and level up. Well, there are other goals to this game,
but leveling up is the main thing in everyone's game. You can download
the game at the links that I will give to you in the section XII. Links.
What you can do is if you want to skip through everything and don't want
read one bit of word in this FAQ, then just press- Ctrl + F and type in
the section you want skip through to. Ex: --- xii. links ---
Make sure you type the exact section listed on the Table of Contents or
you won't find it correctly. You don't really have to match the cases
but if you really want to find it quickly, just type the whole thing
matching the cases.
--- III. Basic Controls of Priston Tale ---
The controls are complicated like in every other game you played. But
later you will get used to it and memorize all the controls.
--- Hotkeys ---
R- Toggles between run and walk. While running, you lose stamina. To
gain it back, you can either wait until you are satisfied with your
stamina that you just gained now, or use some stamina potions.
S- Shows the skills of your Character can learn and can use. More will
be described in the Skills section. Will be displayed on the bottom of
the screen. If any screen is up at the bottom or if that place is empty,
then it will replace that screen.
D- Opens up the party menu. More will be described in the Tips n' Tricks
section.
X/ Esc- Option to whether you want to quit the game or not. It will be
displayed on the lower right corner. Will not replace your screen if
there is anything on the bottom of screen.
C- Opens up the Character Menu and you can look at many different
things.
1. Your name of the Character.
2. The Level of your Character.
3. The amount of experience you currently have.
4. The amount of experience you need to level up to the next level.
5. The current/maximum health, mana, and stamina you can have.
6. Your stats and if you have any stat points remaining to use, a
blue triangle pointing up and blue triangle pointing down. (Will be
described at the Stats distribution section)
7. Your attack rating, you defense , your damage you can cause to
monsters, your absorb rating, and your speed. (Most of them will be
mostly described at the Stats distribution and Equipment section) Will
replace screen if anything is on the bottom of screen.
V- Opens up your inventory and you can look at many different things.
1. A whole lot of space for you to put your items. It's like your
backpack to put items like weapons and potions. Just like school on
first day. Go to school, get textbooks, come home, drop textbooks.
2. At the bottom left and just a little to the right, you see two
arrows, 1. is highlighted, meaning that your in that inventory space,
and 2. is not highlighted, meaning it is available for your secondary
inventory.
3. In the middle to the top, you can see 4 slots. From right to left,
you can fill in the according items: Amulet, Ring, Ring, and Sheltom.
4. In the middle to the bottom is your weight. Now, you think that
you can hold that much items in your inventory, but NO!!!, your wrong,
in this game, the number of items you can carry is according to your
weight of your items. So if your carrying 100 potions and you can't
carry anymore, you won't pick it up.
5. In the middle and a little bit to the right are also two arrows.
Now these are your primary weapons and secondary weapons. More will be
explained in the Tips n' Tricks section. And yes, if your wondering if
you equip items on your body, will it take up weight? Yes it does, and
it also takes up weight in your secondary or primary also.
6. Your available slots for equipment. You can equip the following on
your available slots: Armlets, Gloves, Boots, Weapon, Body Armor and if
possible Shield. And no, you cannot equip your secondary armor, gloves,
etc. , that switch is only for weapons and or shield. Will replace
screen if anything is on the bottom of screen.
Tap- Toggles the map on or off. Useful if you already know your way and
if you want to see the bottom right. The map will be replaced by and
other screen that will block it. But when you close those screens, the
map will still be there.
1, 2, 3- Use potions on the corresponding slot that the potion is on. If
no potion is on that corresponding spot, you will not use it. Amount of
potions you can carry depends on your armlet you are wearing.
F1-F8- Saves skill you can set to. More will be described at the Skills
section.
Enter- Opens up your message log. You can hear people who are talking if
you open it up. You can also talk when you are standing still or moving.
This command is quite complicated if you don't get used to it. It can
really cost you your death if need help when mobbed. Tips n' Tricks will
cover more of this. If you have anything opened on the bottom, the
message log will still be there, but it's just shortened.
Ctrl (or control) + click on a different char than yours- You can attack
that person, but it won't do any damage. Because PK (or player kill/ing)
is not implemented yet, this button is useless. But can annoy some
people. Tips n' Tricks will cover more of this.
^
< v >- Or the up, down, left, right keys. These are to move the camera.
This is the most important control of the game. You will often have to
move your camera all the time. Since this is the archer this FAQ is
talking about, you will be using this key A LOT!!!
Space- Closes windows that you recently opened. Does not closes the
following: Party, Message Log, and exit game option.
Ctrl + Home- Take screenshot in the game or capture screen shot. Any
screen shots you captured will be located in your directory folder of
Priston Tale. To check, simply just open Windows Explorer, or explore
your " My Computer" go to program files- Triglow Pictures- Priston Tale
and find the folder.
Z- Changes camera actions. There are three types: 1. is the normal type,
it will not say anything. You can change your angle when your pointer is
all the way to the left or right. 2. is Auto type, it will change at
times or when you are moving and want to change directions. And 3. is
the Lock type. This type is for newbs who get lost a lot times but when
you move your pointer all the way to the left or right, it will not
move, therefore that's why its called Lock. But you can still move your
camera angle with your left and right keys.
--- Buttons ---
Default attack and skill- You can see this on the middle-bottom of the
screen. As you know, when you acquire a skill, you can either use it on
the left or right click, which means if you have Wind Arrow on your left
and Scout Hawk on your right, when you left click on an enemy, you will
use Wind Arrow.
Rest of buttons from left to right: Run, Zoom, Map, Character, Skill,
Equipment, Party, Quest, and System are just buttons for you to press
rather then using the Hotkeys.
--- IV. About the Archer ---
There's a lot about the archer. These well skilled female warriors are
unmatched in their skills in projectile weapons. Preferring to take
enemies out from a distance, their favorite weapon is the bow - hence
earning them their name. Archers are the essential ranged supporters of
any battle, and they tend to blend into the environment, out of sight.
The Archer different than all the other classes. Their primary weapons
are bows, and their secondary weapon is mostly throwing polearms like
Javelins. I will set up a Pro-Con chart about the archer, and you can
see what's good and what's bad about them.
--- Pros ---
-They can benefit from using the bow, and if you pump a lot into talent.
-Their hit and run tactic is the best from all the other characters.
-Their skill Wind Arrow can make you shoot faster, therefore you can do
more damage.
-Shooting from a range makes them not take any damage at all and making
the archer an invincible character to use.
--- Cons ---
-Their low health can lead you to death most of the time.
-Their low damage makes them a terrible fighter, and if you go melee,
that's even worse. And if you do, then, I call you an idiot!!!
-When mobbed, chances are you will be dead.'
-Doing low damage makes them hard to level up and actually kill enemies
1 on 2 or more or even alone.
-Most of their skill requires a bow to use so if your going melee, then
you won't be able to use them.
( There's are more, but I can't think of any)
--- V. Skills ---
Here is the most important part of all Characters part. Its skills and
you can benefit from it. You can learn your first skill at level 10 and
you earn a skill point every 2 levels starting at level 10. So you get a
skill point at level: 10, then 12, then 14, and so on. Here are the
skills for the Archer.
1st Tier Set of Skills (Archer Skills)
--- Scout Hawk --- Required level - 10
Attribute- Active.
Summons a hawk to scout the surrounding area, raising attack rating.
What this skill really does is that it increases your attack rating and
you can see enemies and other people from a far. How do you know you can
see them from a far? Well from the way you see them glowing blue, it
could be either a person or a monster. Imo, I think this skill is
useless. But if you are fighting in the dark and you can't see enemies
correctly, then you can just use this skill and locate where the enemies
are. How this skill looks like is when you summon it, you see a hawk
from outta nowhere and it flies high above you circling around you.
Amount of rotation is how many times they can circle around you before
it disappears.

--- Shooting Mastery --- Required level - 12
Attribute- Passive.
Permanently raises attack power with bows and crossbows. What this skill
really does is it increases your damage you do permanently. As you can
see, while you pump into this skill, see if your damage changes in your
character screen. At first level, it maybe really small, but at higher
levels, you will know that it increases fairly good. Imo, I think this
skill is pretty good when your at high levels because you do need to do
more damage but just hope you do a lot of damage.

--- Wind Arrow --- Required level - 14
Attribute- Active.
Imbues an arrow with wind properties to increase attack power. What this
skill really does is that it increases your damage and the attack speed
when used on the enemy. How this skill looks like is when shoot it at an
enemy, you see a straight spiral white arrow going towards the enemy.
Imo, this is THE BEST SKILL for the archer!!!. With the damage boost and
the attack speed, using this skill many times continuously on a hard
enemy will do more damage to it instantly! What's good combination is
when you use it, you sometimes can cause a critical hit but you won't
notice it. But when your mobbed, don't use it all until you run out of
stamina, or you'll pay for it because you'll be walking and if your not
carrying any stamina potions then your screwed.

--- Perfect Aim --- Required level - 17
Attribute- Active
Makes an aimed shot with increased attack rating and power. What this
skill really does is it increases your damage by a lot! How this skill
looks like is that when you shoot it at an enemy, you see a straight
thin white arrow going towards the enemy. Imo, this skill is kinda good
if you want to do a lot of damage but with more skill points into it,
the mana and stamina will be increasingly a lot and you're gonna have to
use a lot of potions.

2nd Tier Set of Skills (Huntress Master)
--- Dion's Eye --- Required level - 20
Attribute- Passive
Trains eyesight like the legendary archer Dion to permanently increase
attack rating. What this skill really does is it just increases your
attack rating so you can hit the enemy more often so you won't miss.
Imo, I think this skill is useless just adding attack rating. If you
miss, it's sometimes frustrating because lets say you're fighting a mob.
2 Crypts and Bargons are chasing after you. You hit the Crypt and you
miss, hit, miss, miss, miss. That's what I mean by frustrating and it
really gets on my nerves. So if you really think you need a boost in
attack rating, then pump into this. Really useless, again I say, but
hey, it's your skill point.

--- Falcon--- Required level - 23
Attribute- Active
Summons a fierce falcon to attack nearby enemies. This skill is the
second best one for now. What it really does is when you use this skill,
you'll notice that nothing happens. But when you shoot, a falcon
suddenly comes out and does additional damage to the target according to
the acquired level of your Falcon. No, it doesn't depend on how many
hits you can do, it depends on the amount of time (sec.) your skill has.
This skill IS your best skill for now because you do additional damage
which makes it more easier to kill more enemies quicker. And if you can,
I advise you to max this skill out.

--- Arrow of Rage --- Required level - 26
Attribute- Active
Shoots an arrow over a desired area, which explodes and rains down fire
on enemies. Can't say much about this skill, but I can tell you that
this skill looks kinda cool! It's kinda like the Mechanic's Bomb attack
except this is ranged and somewhat more explosion radius. For those who
don't know what the Mechanic's Bomb is, then this skill is just like
exploding in a small radius and then has a wide explosion, causing
damage around that area. However, imo, this does LESS damage then
Mechanic's Bomb, cost more mana and stamina, so it makes this skill not
worth it to use. Hey, I dunno if this skill is useful you have to test
it out for yourself.

--- Avalanche --- Required level - 30
Attribute- Active
Unleashes a barrage of piercing arrows on a single target. This skill
sounds cool and I am not sure how this skill is used. But I think the
amount of arrows you fire is how much damage you do multiplied by the
number of arrows. It also increases your speed by a small amount, making
this skill more useful. Imo, this skill is just like Wind Arrow except
more damage, and less mana and stamina cost. But due to the low speed
added on from this skill, you won't be able to fire faster than Wind
Arrow, but instead, you shoot more arrows.

You're probably wondering what those two bars are for to the left of the
skill in the skills screen. The right bar is how your regeneration speed
is. If it fills up to the top then you can use it the skill. The left
bar is your percentage of your spell at how fast it is filling up. As
you keep using the skill, the percentage will increase. When it reaches
70%, that is already fast, although you can go higher and I subject you
to. When at 80% that is guaranteed automatic refill of your bar, which
means you can continuously use your skill. But it will only work on the
one you've used a lot. So if you want to max both regeneration of Wind
Arrow, and Perfect Aim, then you have to do both. Also what's bad is
whatever percentage your skill is at, when you want to pump into that
particular skill, the percentage will reset and will be set at an
unknown percentage. It's different for all skills so I can't really tell
you it.
--- VI. Equipment ---
There are not much equipment about the archer. We all know their main
weapon is the bow. There are many weapons and I will only list the
weapons. You don't really have to wear anything else than your weapon,
but it is strongly advised to at least equip some armor.
Bows are really weak and probably the weakest weapons in the game. What
makes up for it is that you can shoot from a far so you can land a few
3-5 blow before running again.
--- Short bow ---
(#) just simply means that if you find this kind of bow, than you can
have a chance of that number being in place of the original number but
only up to that (#) number. Example: The regular stats for Horned Bow is
2-3, that means, if you find this bow, you have a chance it can be 2-4
or 2-5.
Damage- 1-3(4)
Requirements-None
Attack Speed- 6
Critical Rate- 2%
Range- 200
Price- 70G
Notes- This will be your first weapon, all you have to do is find some
gold outside while killing enemies and when you get enough, just buy it
in Ricarten. Also, comes with a bonus of ASpec, which means its Archer
Spec.
--- Horned Bow ---
Damage- 2-3(5)
Requirements- None
Attack Speed- 6
Critical Rate- 2%
Range- 180
Price- 300G
Notes- This bow is one handed and is commonly found when you are
fighting in the newbie land. If your lucky enough, you can get it ASpec
which is almost the same exact thing as the short bow except with
bonuses like increase damage and attack rating and range. Since its one
handed, you can also equip a shield if you get lucky enough to find one.
Or just buy it.
--- Hand Crossbow ---
Damage- 3-5(7)
Requirements- Agility-32
Attack speed- 7
Critical Rate- 3%
Range- 200
Price- 720G
Notes- This is just an upgrade of the Horned Crossbow. This is your last
1 handed crossbow for now because there's only one left and it's a long
way to use it. You can buy it from the Npc's but if you see someone
selling a ASpec Hand Crossbow, take a took at it, and see if you want to
buy it. The damage is already a lot for a no level requirement bow so
this is the best 1 handed bow you can use for now.
--- Crossbow ---
Damage- 4-7(9)
Requirements- Level 6, Talent- 24, Agility- 36
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 3%
Range- 210
Price- 1300G
Notes- These you can buy from Npc's but it won't be ASpec. Later on, you
can find these off Skeletons and Zombies, but they have a low chance of
dropping it.
--- Battle Bow ---
Damage- 4(5)-9(11)
Requirements- Level 9, Talent- 36, Agility- 42
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 5%
Range- 220
Price- 2,800G
Notes- You can buy these and also find these later when you're at a
higher level to take on hard enemies. You can buy this bow from the
Blacksmith in the bottom middle of town. Its not expensive so just buy
it rather than get it for a cheaper price.
--- Great Bow ---
Damage- 5(7)-10(13)
Requirements- Level 15, Strength- 33, Talent- 40, Agility- 46
Attack Speed- 6
Critical Rate- 6%
Range- 225
Price- 4,800G
Notes- This is your best bow for now because the next bow you won't be
using until 5 levels ahead, but here's the bad part. YOU CAN'T BUY IT!!!
What's bad is that you have to travel to Town 2 to buy it and it's a
longgggggg way to get there if you're a newb. But once you buy it, and
use it, it's worth it. Not because you do more damage, but you can
attack faster now! Why do you think this bow is called "Great"?
--- War Bow ---
Damage- 7(9)-12(15)
Requirements- Level 20, Strength- 40, Talent- 44, Agility- 54
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 7%
Range- 235
Price- N/A
Notes- As I said earlier, you cannot buy this bow. Enemies have to drop
them and Titans drop them. Since you are not strong enough to kill those
monsters you're gonna have to use the Great Bow for 10 levels!!! Talk
about low damage! But you can wait in the markets and keep typing:
"Buying aspec war bow." And if you want it quickly, then tell them you
will pay them 10k or something.
--- Great Crossbow ---
Damage- 9(11)-13(16)
Requirements- Level 25, Strength- 40, Talent- 50, Agility- 69
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 8%
Range- 240
Price- 16,000G
Notes- Your wait is finally over, head over to Navisko (Town 3) and
quickly buy this bow, but if you have a War Bow and does more damage
than this, then I advise you not to buy it.
--- Metal Hand Crossbow ---
Damage- 10(12)-14(17)
Requirements- Level 30, Strength- 48, Talent- 50, Agility- 65
Attack speed- 7
Critical Rate- 9%
Range- 225
Price- 25,000G
Notes- The is the last bow you can buy, last 1 handed crossbow, and
probably your last weapon!!! Because of other bows you won't be able to
buy, you will be using this for like the rest of your life! If you
manage to find one or buy a better bow from other people, than consider
yourself lucky because the rest of the bows are the hardest to find, or
I should say, impossible to find.
--- Double Crossbow ---
Damage- 11(14)-17(20)
Requirements- Level 37, Strength- 50, Talent- 55, Agility- 78
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 11%
Range- 240
Price- N/A
Notes- Starting from here and the other bows, you won't be able to buy
them at all. You have to find them, and of course from hard enemies. I
am not sure who drops these but I just know they are hard to find.
--- Bone Bow ---
Damage- 13(15)-19(21)
Requirements- Level 41, Strength- 56, Talent- 56, Agility- 82
Attack speed- 5
Critical Rate- 12%
Range- 240
Price- N/A
Notes- No comment, or just to say, what a terrible bow if you manage to
find one with no spec on it. 5 Attack speed on a bow, that's just
horrible.
--- Sagittarius ---
Damage- 15(17)-22(25)
Requirements- Level 47, Strength- 60, Talent- 60, Agility- 95
Attack speed- 6
Critical Rate- 14
Range- 245
Price- N/A- possibly Priceless
Changes in name- Name was used to be Metal Bow, maybe it still is, I am
not sure.
Notes- What the hell do you think this bow is? It's the BEST BOW DUH!!!
If you find one, then I call you a God!!!!
--- VII. Leveling Places ---
Now moment you've been waiting for, PLACES TO LEVEL UP!!! Ok, first,
this game is different than every other game. They have respawning
places, and no there not everywhere, there always in the same place. Now
let me get this straight, everywhere you go it's a place called " No
Man's Land" meaning you don't really own the land. For example: if you
were in a place where the monsters respawn rate is good and suddenly
someone comes from nowhere and starts stealing your kills, that's called
KS/KSing or kill stealing. Its like they take your kills and you tell
that person to get out of your place, but whose gonna listen? Absolutely
no one. Would I listen? No. Would Tri.... No. How about him/her, NO I
SAID!!! Nobody cares if you tell them to get out of your own private
place. You're just gonna have to deal with it, or next time you see that
person, ITS PAYBACK TIME!!! Go start KSing him. And you know what's even
better? YOU'RE AN ARCHER!!! You can just sit back and enjoy hitting
enemies, while that KSer takes hits for all the enemies. Hehehehe. Now
that's a cheap trick. But warning ya, you do it too much, you will get
used to KSing and people will starting hating you.
Level 1-10
Go out into the fields of Newbie Land where it's just up North of the
first town, Ricarten. Now, mostly, not much newbs are there anymore, but
now with the Wolverines, people are gonna start killing those newbie
monsters just for life potions if they run out. Go fight some Hoppies,
Mushroom Ghost, and Armas. If you're strong enough, you can maybe even
take on a Hob Goblin! If you kill him, you will guaranteed to get two
loots. Keep fighting these people until you're level 5. Once you are
level 5, you need a new place. Go to the graveyard map or just stick
with the yellow left road and then when you reach a fork from going left
or right, go left. Here you will fight some medium difficulty enemies:
Obit, Minigue, Doral, Plant, and Imps. The most annoying critters are
Imps. They can attack from long range, and they do sort of hurt. When
being mobbed, just run and come back, fend off one enemy by enemy and
you will do fine. Also, don't forget to use some potions. That's why its
there for. Don't be desperate and say that these stuff are precious,
like in some games when you don't want to use a potion. Also, if you
see a Doral, halt everything you do and quickly go kill them. They are
not hard, and don't have much life. If you're lucky, you can get a
sheltom! They have a nice variety drops of sheltoms so if you want, kill
them. What I like to do is, every time I see a Doral, I quickly kill it.
Its like I am trying to make these Dorals extinct or something... If you
ever get to encounter a Plant, then be patient because these guys aren't
tough but they do have A LOT OF LIFE/ HP. The rest of the enemies are
easy, and I will tell you again, beware of IMPS, they always come in
packs of two so when your fighting you're gonna lose a lot of pots.
Remember, at level 9 you can upgrade your bow to a Battle Bow. I advise
you just to go to town and equip your bow right away when you reach
level 9 or the requirements for the bow because it will make life easier
for you to kill. I can't really find some private places but I can tell
you these locations. When you arrive to the Graveyard, there's a respawn
place. If you go up or right, not following the yellow road, you will
see a Graveyard. Go deep into the graveyard and follow the fence on the
left. Stay there and you will see a lot of enemies that respawn here and
not much people too. The second place is when you follow the yellow
road, if you look to your left, you can see some shrine like area. It's
really nothing. You can notice by a really small hill you can run up to.
This place has a nice respawn rate of Obits, Minigues and Imps.
Level 10-15
Did you remember to equip your Battle Bow? If you didn't then I suppose
you not to even come here. Why? Because you won't even be doing damage
in this new area. Actually there's 2 areas for you to fight but it's
your decision. Right away when you're level 9 you can move on to either
the Wastelands 1 or the Goblin map. I have never been to the Goblin map
but I can ensure to tell you that it can get a little tiding hard. You
can fight: Plants, Hob Goblins, and Cyclops. Warning about Cyclops, now
they are the hardest to kill for now, they have tooooooo much life, they
can do about 15-20 damage to you, and they definitely run fast. So if
you encounter one, make sure you eliminate other enemies before you
fight this big tough guy.
The next area is the Wastelands 1. You can fight: Skeletons, Zombies,
Plant Lords, Minigues and Dorals. These enemies are not quite hard,
especially the zombies. They are slow and stupid that you can even go up
to them and swing a few bow strings at zombies and when they start
attacking you, just run, you are guaranteed not to get hurt because of
their slow attack speed. Its like your getting shot from a gun but the
bullet is so dam slow, you can just step aside and dodge the bullet.
Anyway, skeletons are the same but attack a little faster. Plants Lords
are easy, it's just they have a lot of life and will take long to kill.
And if you do kill it, not only you gain a fair amount of experience but
you can get a good loot from them. I couldn't find a nice place to level
up, but a place is right in the middle of the wasteland. There's
not much people there and the respawn rate is medium. Or if you can,
find a graveyard, most likely you will never see people there. If you
want, just Ks in an area. If some person is going solo, then annoy him
by taking his kills. Chances are it will make him leave and go to a new
place. I wouldn't really want you to do that because that is the rudest
thing to do.
Level 15-20
Once you reach level 15, travel to Town 2 and buy the Great Bow. Now you
can either travel back to Wastelands 2 or stay in the same Wastelands 3.
What's different is you can fight Decoys in Wastelands 3. Since you're
fighting in these areas, I advise you to bring A LOT OF POTIONS. I AM
WARNING YOU, ORYOU'LL REGRET IT. These enemies here are extremely hard.
What monsters are in both areas? Lets see: Mephits, (or I think they are
called Mephisto but just shortened, or maybe they can't spell.)
Cockrices, (cockroaches look alike) Cyclops, Zombies, and Skeletons.
There are 2 extremely hard monsters in these areas. They are Mephits and
Cockrices. Mephits also look like Imps. Both can shoot from long range
and never miss. If you are planning to fight them, then make sure your
fingers are on 1, 2, or 3. Cockrices sometimes respawn in groups of 3
and Mephits in 2. When you fight them and you are suddenly mobbed with
more than 5 long range guys, always try to run as far as you can. Always
kill mephits first because they have the longest range. My favorite
place is when you go halfway to Wastelands 3, you see a building, and
wooden stairs. And a wall to block your site. Yes, you can shoot through
the wall and so can Cockrices and Mephits. Simply all you have to do is
run around, lure the enemies, then go back between the thick wall, or
walk up the wooden ramp and fall down to wall and quickly go back to the
other side. Now, if you see any Mephits, kill them first because
sometimes they will attack you. Also, if you get too close to Cockrices,
then you will get hit. Just stay away and shoot and you will do fine. If
some reason you can't shoot them, that's because they're stuck to the
wall. Simply just keep clicking, or move to the side so you can see most
of its body part and fire at it. Later, these guys will be a piece of
cake, but that time is when you gain almost no exp from these guys. :(
Level 20-30
Make sure you have the War Bow equipped because you actually really need
it. If you don't have it, then its just gonna take you a longer time. Go
to Wastelands 4. Also, you do need an amount of potions but not much
this time. You can fight the following monsters in this area: Scorpion,
Decoy, Bargon, Cyclops, Leeches, and Skeleton Archers. Let me talk about
Skeleton Archers. These Undead Monsters are probably the hardest to kill
and the most damage you will receive. These guys are like carrying the
Diablo 2 LOD's Buriza Do Kyanon(sp?) or the Newb Cannon. People who are
not familiar with this is that Skeleton Archers are carrying a weapon
that is so dam powerful, it will make you use so much potions until they
die. These enemies do have a good drop rate but it's rarely seen. And
besides, most of the items are not even for you! :( So if you, can
stay away at all cost from these ranged attackers. Decoys, Bargon,
Leeches, and Cyclops are just easy. Scorpions also, but they (what I
call it) lag hit you. Meaning when you run away, they start coming
towards you, duh, and when they hit you, they miss, but you think they
miss, they still hit you. That's why its called lag hit. I think they
are the only monsters that can lag hit you, well also, all ranged
attackers have the same thing. The only exception to Scorpions is that
they do almost no damage to you so you don't have to worry about killing
them yet if you get mobbed. Once you get to level 25, if you do or don't
have a War Bow, travel to Navisko quickly but not at night. Because at
night, the town is invaded by enemies. They are all easy except for the
Bargons. Since it's at night, you won't see any enemies clearly so
somehow you'll get chopped and slashed by Bargons 2 hits- which does
about like 60 damage with the proper armor. When its daylight, go find
the Blacksmith and buy the Great Crossbow. If you have extra money,
then buy the Metal Crossbow also. If your War Bow does more damage, then
don't buy the Crossbow. Duh!!! Don't be stupid. There, you won't have
much problems now since you do so much damage now. My favorite place is
when you keep going south, you reach a big building. If you look right,
you will see an inning you can go to. If you keep going without checking
the inning, you can see a small hole that doesn't connect to a tall
small wall and a square where there are ramps on two sides. What you can
do is keep going south and lure the enemies to you. Go back into the
buildings and stop at the outside small hole, stand there for like 1
second or less if they are near you and quickly run to the other side
and up the ramp and go to the other ramp. Now the enemies are stuck on
the walls, you can just continuously shoot the hell outta them. If
fighting archers make sure you are as far as back as you can be because
they have the same range as the War Bow. Duh, there using a War Bow. If
you stay back, then you're safe and won't take any damage. But then if
you don't kill them quickly, they will run back to there post from where
they respawned.
Level 30-37
I will continue to update this section the next time I can go play this
game. Which is like next week. Still under construction.
--- VIII. Stat Distribution ---
I don't really know how to pump an Archers Stats but I will tell you
this. They need mostly Agility and some Talent. If you need a damage
boost, then you'll have to pump a hell lot into agility. I am not really
sure how much you need in order to increase even some damage, but I
think its every 10 points of agility, you increase your maximum damage
by 2 points and 1 minimum damage.
This is just one example if you want to pump your points right away. Or
maybe save it for later use. When I give you a number, it means your
stats has to be at that point, not how many points you have to pump into
it. If you want, you can follow this one.
For more items stored in your equipment:
21 Strength
24 Talent
36 Agility
40 Strength
40 Talent
53 Agility
60 Strength (stay your strength right here, if you want to use some good
armors then put more into strength but don't exceed more than 70
Strength)
50 Talent
90 Agility
60 Talent
----------
Now the rest of the points you can do whatever you want. If you want to
do damage, pour it all into Agility. If you have a ASpec Sparky and
would like to use it, stop pumping into Talent at 50 or 55. You might
need some more spirit so if you want to use the Sparky at level 30, then
stop Talent at 50.
--- IX. FAQ's ---
Just a few FAQ's for newbies.
Q: I just downloaded the game and when I go start my game, I see no
servers. Is the game's servers down right now or what?
A: No, its not down, you have to either download the new patch if they
made it or do the following: Go to Windows Explorer or Explore your " My
Computer" click Program Files, find Triglow Pictures, Priston Tale, and
click on PsUpdate. This will either add some new files, or change some
files on your comp. Oh and make sure you are definitely online to do
this, because I am not sure if it will update while offline. Then when
it finishes, go click on the game and enjoy!
Q: That doesn't help at all!
A: Um, that's not a question, but it's suppose to update it. Make sure
you computer is logged on Administrator. Many of my friends, and people
kept having trouble with this.
Q: When I click on the program Priston Tale it shows the screen and
suddenly just disappears, why does it keep on doing that?
A: It's downloading the patch so just follow the procedure you just read
on top. ^^
Q: I am stuck on a hole or a wall and I can't get out. What can I do?
A: You can try moving around by dragging your mouse clockwise rotation
while your character is moving. Chances are you will get out of it. If
for some stupid reason, you fell to a hole and it suddenly zooms in on
enemies and you can't see your character, then you are stuck for good!!!
But you can either use an ether core to any town or quit the game.
Q: Omg, my items are suddenly missing, even my weapons and armor! How
can I get them back?
A: Are you sure it's missing? Try going to your secondary screen of your
inventory and/or your equipment screen. If that doesn't solve your
problem, then omg, somebody just hacked into your account!!!
Q: When I click on start game and click on server, it then shows this
screen that updates the patch. For some reason it suddenly says: Version
CFG not found! How can I fix this.
A: You can either keep doing the startup thing by when you see the
Version thingy update not found, just click on quit on the Hack finder
and keep trying. Or, just go back to Priston Tale folder and click on
PsUpdate. There, it will fix your problem. If not, try again later, or
Reboot your comp.
Q: Ok, it finished updating. I have some new files, including the
PsUpdate2. I click on it and it updates. Then when I go play click on
the game, it says Update not found, then it suddenly Updates again! Why
is it doing it again?
A: This is the problem I am currently encountering right now, I actually
downloaded the game, knowing I still can't play, but I just downloaded
just for fun. I am sorry but I cannot help you with this.
Q: When the hack finder screen pops up, it suddenly shows me a screen
that says it found a hack on my computer. I didn't download any hacks
for this game, how come it says that? It even says that it's a virus. Is
this really a virus? Should I delete it right away?
A: No, its not a virus. I am not really good at the programs in the
computer itself, but if the program is Expl32, don't delete it. It's
part of your computer and probably is run by some programs. I think this
is your problem to the question right above, so I can't really help you.
--- X. Glitches / Bugs ---
</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
First, there are many glitches, bugs, and errors in this game. Some are
major, some unimportant. If you don't know what they are, then look it
up! I dun want to do your homework for you. Hey, I got my own homework
to do so do your own stuff.
--- Glitches ---
Wall hacking- Self-explanatory if you played CS (Counterstrike).
Basically, what this does is you can shoot through any thick wall that
your ranged weapon can shoot from depending on the range. But this also
has a side effect. If you're fighting an enemy that also has a ranged
attack, then that enemy can shoot through it, making it even for both
you and the monster. But some monsters like Mephits, and Cockrices, they
do have ranged attacks, but they can't reach you so you can kill them
with ease.
--- XI. Tips n' Tricks ---
I will update this next week.
--- XII. Legal Stuff ---
You may do the Do's but you may not do the Don'ts.
---Do's ---
-Read my FAQ and follow everything on what my FAQ says.
-Give me a 3D accelerator card for my comp, so I can play on my crappy
comp. : ) I would appreciate it if you live in Queens and if you DO give
me it, I can give you anything in this game, well not everything. I will
give you as much as you want. Please! I just want to play this game man.
---Don'ts ---
-If you want to write a FAQ and want to take some ideas of how I wrote
it and not credit me.
-Steal my FAQ and post it on any site other than GameFAQs. ( Just to
tell you this: I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN UNTIL I CAN FIND YOU. DO YOUR OWN
WORK YOU LAZY BUM!!! AND IF I DO FIND YOU, OH YOU'LL REGRET IT. SO DON'T
YOU DARE DO IT.)
