> Background <

The Phantom of Inferno DVD video game is a remake of Nitroplus' Phantom of
Inferno for PC. The PC version was originally targeted at adult gamers. The
game became a hit and Nitroplus decided to market it to a more mainstream market.
They hired Digiturbo for this task. In doing so, they removed the adult material,
and hired several high-profile voice-actors to bring the game characters to life.
For a more detailed comparison, check the Misc. Questions section.

Phantom is a DVD video game, meaning it can be played on any peripheral with a DVD
Player, including the Playstation 2 and X-box.

Phantom of Inferno is a tale of romance (and bloodshed) centering among three young
assassins: Ein, Zwei, and Drei. Their names are German for one, two, and three
if you didn't notice.

The story takes place in the seedy parts of Los Angeles. After witnessing a murder,
a young man finds himself in captive by Inferno, a powerful underground crime ring.
His memory was erased and he was given a chance to either die or join them. He has
no choice but to comply. He becomes the assassin "Zwei." Time passes and he begins
to lose more and more of his humanity. Will he regain his former self?

====================================================================================

> Characters <

= Ein (CV: Minami Omi) =

Inferno's top assassin. She is a young girl around Zwei's age. She is an
efficient assassin, but that's about it. She has no other reason for living. She
is Zwei's mentor.

= Zwei (CV: Okano Kousuke) =

A young man who unfortunately witnessed a murder. His memory was erased and he
reluctantly joins Inferno under the new identity of "Zwei." He blames himself
for the misfortune of others near to him. He is under the tutelage of "Ein."

= Drei (CV: Koorogi Satomi) =

A victim of many hardships. A child prodigy. Hatred is her source of power,
but it also destroys her in the process.

= Claudia McCunnen (CV: Inoue Kikuko) =

A high-ranking Inferno member. She has taken interest in Zwei, but for what
reason?

= Lizzie (CV: Orikasa Ai) =

Claudia's childhood friend and bodyguard.

= Scythe Master (CV: Narita Ken) =

The man behind the creation of Ein, Zwei, and Drei.

= Mio Fujieda (CV: Asami Junko) =

Reiji's classmate. She is unaware of his darker side.
