Omega Quintet - Dowsing FAQ by aces4839

Dowsing is a field action exclusive to Aria. She doesn't join until Episode 4
shortly after Kyouka does in the Skyscraper Shelter. Whenever you get close to
a dowsing point, an icon will appear over the character's head. When it beeps
quickly and continuously, search around that area until the Investigation
prompt appears at the bottom of the screen. This will likely happen but even
if you find something but can't get it because the action level is too low,
the item will stay there until you complete the quest "Show Me A Skill! 9" in
Episode 6 to raise it to 2 and "Show Me A Skill! 15" in Episode 8 to raise it
to 3. The order they will be in is from their closest points of origin from
the next, so don't try to go in order unless you have all the required field
skills. Below is a full list of all the Dowsing points from every area that
has them:

                            Verdant Greenbelt

1. From the start, continue on the path until you see a fairly big area. In
the northwest corner is the first dowsing point.
2. Northeast of the first save point is a dowsing point.
3. Continue on the path until you come to a Sacred Zone. Go through it and
continue north to find the next dowsing point.
4. Exit the Sacred Zone, go southwest and then south at the fork. In the
southeast of the area is the next dowsing point.
5. Northeast of the save point is the next dowsing point. You'll need to have
Kanadeko's Breakthrough at 2 first to get to the dowsing point.
6. Continue on the path until you come to another fork in the road. Go
northwest to find the next dowsing point.
7. From the next star save point, go northwest until you can go southeast. The
dowsing point is near the tree.
8. After jumping up the hills, if you go a bit northwest along the stone wall,
the next dowsing point is there.
9. A bit close to the entrance to the Crystal Cave is another dowsing point
northeast of it.
10. Southeast of the nearby save point in what looks like a L-shaped cliff is
another dowsing point.
11. Northwest of the nearby Sacred Zone or southwest of the star save point
is another dowsing point near the cliff.
12. Go past the Sacred Zone and go down the hill. Go east from that point to
find the next dowsing point.
13. Almost directly south of the previous dowsing point is another one near a
save point southwest of it.
14. Go northwest until you can drop down. Then go southwest to find another
dowsing point. Use the nearby save point to leave, then return to the
Weathervane Plains.
15. You need a Removal of 2 to get access to this one first. Go northeast
along the path until you come to a fork in the road. Take the right path to go
down the hill. At the bottom, go east to find the next dowsing point.
16. Go back to the fork and continue up the hill until you find the save
point. Go east and a little south to find the next dowsing point.
17. Continue on the path after your Removal is at least 2 until you find hills
going down. Go on that path to find a Sacred Zone that you need a 2 in first.
Enter the area and go south then east to find the next dowsing point.
18. Past the next star save point, go east. Around the obstacle is the next
dowsing point.
19. Southeast past the nearby High Jump point is the next dowsing point.
20. Continue on the path south and you'll come to another dowsing point
northeast of the High Jump point in the middle.
21. After dropping down, go as far west as you can until you come across the
next dowsing point.
22. Come back when you get Kanadeko's High Jump for these next three. Just
north of the previous one is a High Jump point. Go directly west to find the
next dowsing point.
23. Far to the northeast of the previous point is the next one near a large
rock to the south of it.
24. Northwest of the previous one is another High Jump point. Follow the path
upwards and at the end of it is the next dowsing point.
25. Backtrack to the star save point and go through the Sacred Zone that you
need a 2 in. Go southwest and hug the wall on the right until you reach the
next dowsing point.
26. Come back when your Removal is 3 to get the rest of the dowsing points.
Past the one after passing the Sacred Zone again, if you go directly south,
you'll come across the next dowsing point.
27. Kanadeko's Breakthrough at 2 is required for this next one. Go east across
the tree and southeast to reach the next dowsing point.
28. Go back across the tree and go across the northern one. The final dowsing
point in this place is at the far northeast corner of it.

                              Crystal Cave

1. From the entrance, go directly northeast. You'll need the higher jump
increase to reach it first.
2. Continue along the path a bit, then go northwest past the beast enemies to
find the next dowsing point.
3. After kicking the tree down, go southwest to find the next dowsing point.
4. Continue north along the path and when you can go southeast, do so to find
the next dowsing point.
5. With a Sacred Zone at 2, go northeast then southeast past the High Jump
point to find the next dowsing point.
6. The last dowsing point in this place is northwest past the save point.

                            South Middleton

1. From the entrance, go north a bit then southeast all the way till you can
go north. At the end is the first dowsing point. You need a removal of 2 to
access the path first.
2. Go back to the main road, then north and east the first chance to find the
next dowsing point.
3. A bit southwest from the northern save point is the next dowsing point.
4. Remember the area where you fought a Scourge Dragon when you used Momoka?
In the southwest area is another dowsing point.
5. Return to the star save point and go west, provided your jump ability
increased. You also need Kanadeko's Breakthrough at 2 to kick the sign down.
Directly southwest is the last dowsing point.

                            North Middleton

1. Southwest of the entrance is the first dowsing point.
2. Go northeast in the little alleyway to find the next dowsing point.
3. Go northwest from there to find the next dowsing point at the end of the
area.
4. You need Kanadeko's High Jump to get access to rest of the dowsing points.
After crossing the first High Jump, go north at the fork then east to find
another High Jump point. Go north of that to find another High Jump. Just west
of that is another dowsing point.
5. Go back to the 4 way fork and head west. Southwest near the High Jump point
is another dowsing point.
6. Nene's Analyze at 3 is required for the last one. Northwest of the save
point at the far end is the final dowsing point.

                            Arid Wilderness

1. At the fork, go west. You'll need Kanadeko's High Jump for this one. At the
far northwest corner is the first dowsing point.
2. Back at the fork, go southeast. Go south a bit from that point to find the
next dowsing point.
3. At the first 4 way, go west and at the next, go north a bit to find the
next dowsing point.
4. Continue along the path south until you come to another 4 way. Go east from
there to find the next one at the very end.
5. Back at the 4 way, go south this time. This one requires a Sacred Zone of 2
to get there. Southwest of that area is the next dowsing point.
6. Head west from the 4 way to find a star save point. From there, if you hug
the left side, you'll find the next dowsing point.
7. Continue hugging the left side and at the end before heading south, the
next dowsing point is there.
8. Go south past the abandoned dome to find the next dowsing point.
9. Directly west of the abandoned dome is the next dowsing point.
10. Northeast of the southern save point is the next dowsing point.
11. Continue going south and east a bit to find the next dowsing point.
12. Southeast of the previous dowsing point is another one very close by.
13. You'll need Kanadeko's Breakthrough at 2 to reach the rest of the dowsing
points. Go southwest from that point to find the next dowsing point.
14. Go north and a little west to find the next dowsing point.
15. Northwest from that at the far area behind a wall is the next dowsing
point.
16. The next dowsing point while going south you'll need a Removal of 3 to get
access to. Go northwest from there to find the next dowsing point.
17. Go east when you have a Sacred Zone of 3 to find the next dowsing point
going southeast upon entry.
18. Go south until you see a Sacred Zone of 2. At the end of the area is the
next dowsing point.
19. Exit the Sacred Zone and go south then west. Another dowsing point is in
the northwest part of it.
20. This one you need the High Jump for. You also need a Sacred Zone of 3 to
get full access. Go east from the previous dowsing point to go to a new area.
If you stay on the right side, you will eventually come to the next dowsing
point.
21. Continue on that path northwest and go past the save point. Go west and
north a bit to find the next dowsing point at the far end.
22. Northeast of the previous dowsing point is another one fairly close to the
edge.
23. Go all the way back to where you were and once you get to the fork, head
south. At the 4 way, go east to find the next dowsing point.
24. Go all the way west from there and once you can go north, do so. Past the
Removal and with High Jump, go northwest a bit to find the next dowsing point.
25. Continue going northwest and you'll find the final dowsing point at the
end.

                           Valley Supply Base

1. Go all the way south to find the first dowsing point at the far end.
2. Go northwest into the base then go south, west then south again to find the
next dowsing point on the left side.
3. Go northwest outside then go northeast inside a small rectangular area to
find the next dowsing point.
4. You will need Kanadeko's High Jump to get access to the rest of the dowsing
points. The next one is all the way south then east past the stairs.
5. You need Nene's Analyze at 3 to find the next dowsing point. Go up the
stairs then go west after opening the door to find the next dowsing point.
6. Continue on the path northwest past the second door and go directly north
to find the next dowsing point.
7. Go west then north outside then go northeast to find the next dowsing
point.
8. Go west from there then northwest to find the next dowsing point.
9. High Jump to the uppermost area, then go southwest on the right side to
find the last dowsing point.

                           Skyscraper Shelter

1. From the entrance AFTER Otoha, Kanadeko and Nene rejoin the party, go as
far west as you can even passing the southern area and you'll find the first
dowsing point.
2. Continue south along the path and in the next big area, go west and south
a bit to find the next dowsing point.
3. Remember the spot where you started when you were in control of Kyouka?
Directly north of where you enter the big area is the next dowsing point.
4. Go out of that area and continue east, then go north. With a Removal of 2,
AND Nene's Analyze at 2, go northeast to find the next dowsing point.
5. Go south and up the stairs and past the save point. Again, you need a
Removal of 2 and Nene's Analyze at 2 to get to this one. Northeast past the
Analyze is the next dowsing point.
6. You'll need to go to the B1 Floor section to get access to more dowsing
points. Directly east of the save point is the next dowsing point.
7. If you go back up the stairs and with a Removal of 2, go south then east to
find the next dowsing point in the southeastern corner.
8. Go back down the stairs and go south. Use Nene's Analyze to get into this
small area, then go southeast to find the next dowsing point.
9. Go out of the room and go west to find a big screen TV in the middle of the
area. To the left of it is the next dowsing point in the corner.
10. Go directly south of the big screen tv to find the next dowsing point
northwest of the southern save point.
11. Continue west past the stairs to find the next dowsing point at the end.
12. Go southeast into the next area, then go west to find the next dowsing
point.
13. Go directly east of that with Nene's Analyze at 2 past the Sacred Zone and
go northeast in the small room to find the next dowsing point.
14. Continue going south until you have to go east. Go all the way east past
the star save point to find the next dowsing point.
15. Go back to the save point and continue on. Go left at the junction and
keep following the path until you come to the dowsing point.
16. Go south into the next room and go west. At the end of that area is the
next dowsing point.
17. You'll not only need a Removal of 3, you'll need Kanadeko's High Jump to
get the rest of the dowsing points. For this next one, you'll need the Sacred
Zone to be 3 and Analyze to be 3 as well. Go east into the room and find the
dowsing point in that area near the far southern walls.
18. Go back to the save point then go east then south. Go east into the big
area and you'll find the next dowsing point on the first step down.
19. Go southwest from there to find the High Jump. Then, go northwest at the
end to find the next dowsing point.
20. Staying on the right side, go south until you come across the last dowsing
point.

                            Bayside Plant

1. From the entrance, go southeast on the left side until you come across the
first dowsing point.
2. Head west and continue along the path. In the southwest room, you'll need
Nene's Analyze at 3 to get access to the dowsing point on the far northern
side.
3. Jump on the platform to continue on the path but go west first. Go up the
ramp then go east on the small platform to find the next dowsing point.
4. Go down the ramp and go up the other one. Go southwest from that point to
find the next dowsing point.
5. You'll need Kanadeko's High Jump and Nene's Analyze at least 2 to get the
rest of the dowsing points. Go all the way to where the other High Jump point
is on the east side, then go northwest to find the next dowsing point.
6. Return to the save point and go south, then east to find the last dowsing
point.

                          Yamate Town Ruins

1. From the entrance, go north then immediately east and north to come across
the first dowsing point.
2. Exit out of the house, then go northwest up the ramp to find the next
dowsing point at the top.
3. Go southeast, then west into another house. Go northwest from there, then
east to jump  into a room. Head south from there to find the next dowsing
point.
4. You'll see a Sacred Zone of 3 south of the previous dowsing point. It is
actually in that Sacred Zone.
5. Far northwest of that one is another dowsing point.
6. Go northeast around the house, then east from there and finally south. Go
down the ramp on the east side of that and go to where the Removal of 3 is to
find the next dowsing point just southeast of it.
7. Go back up the ramps and go west into another house. With a Removal of 3,
the last dowsing point is directly north past it.

                      Nibashi Business District

1. From the entrance, go directly west to find the first dowsing point.
2. Go south to find a Removal of 2. Go east just past it to find the next
dowsing point.
3. Northeast of the previous dowsing point is another one just north of a
normal treasure.
4. Go up the stairs and go southwest. At the southernmost point is the next
dowsing point.
5. Return to the save point and go east. Continue northeast to find the last
dowsing point.

                            Central Tower

1. Go along the path and stay on the right side until you come across the
first dowsing point.
2. Just past the previous dowsing point is another one.
3. Continue northeast then go southeast and then southwest to find the next
dowsing point.
4. Just southwest of the previous one is another dowsing point.
5. Go back on the path and just north of a normal treasure is the next dowsing
point.
6. Continue northwest and stay on the left side to find the next dowsing
point.
7. Continue northwest a little then go southwest to find the next dowsing
point.
8. Return to the path and continue southwest on the right side to find the
next dowsing point.
9. After going up all the steps past the save point, on the right side of the
big area the next dowsing point is nearby.
10. Directly east of the previous dowsing point is another one.
11. In the next big area past the save point, the far northern part of the
area has another dowsing point.
12. In the area where the final boss is, immediately go southwest to find the
last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 1

1. The south area of the northern room before the large room has the first
dowsing point.
2. The northeast side of the large room has the other dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 2

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point.
2. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the other
dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 3

1. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the first
dowsing point.
2. Go northeast into the northern room and the south side of it contains the
other dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 4

1. The south area of the northern room before the large room has the first
dowsing point.
2. The northeast side of the large room has the other dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 5

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point on the right side.
2. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the right side.
3. The northeast side of the large room has the next dowsing point.
4. Directly west of the previous dowsing point has the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 6

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point on the right side.
2. The south area of the northern room before the large room has the next
dowsing point.
3. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the next dowsing
point.
4. The northwestern side of the large room has the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 7

1. In the western big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point.
2. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the left side.
3. Just to the right of the previous dowsing point is the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 8

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point on the right side.
2. In the same big room, go north into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the left side.
3. Go west into the northern big room and on the south side of that is the
next dowsing point.
4. The northeast side of the large room has the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 9

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the left side.
2. In the western big room, go south into the room containing the other
dowsing point on the right side.

                     Training Facility Floor 10

1. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the first
dowsing point on the left.
2. Just to the right of the previous dowsing point is another dowsing point.
3. The northeast side of the large room has the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 11

1. North of the first room you enter is the first dowsing point.
2. In the eastern big room, go north into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the right side.
3. The northwestern side of the large room has the last dowsing point.

                     Training Facility Floor 12

1. In the eastern big room, go south into the room containing the first
dowsing point on the left side.
2. Just to the right of the previous dowsing point is another one.
3. In the western big room, go south into the room containing the next dowsing
point on the right side.
4. In the same big room, go north into the room containing the last dowsing
point on the left side.

                     Training Facility Floor 13

1. North of where you enter is the first dowsing point.
2. In the western big room, go north into the room containing the next dowsing
point.
3. Go east into the next room and on the south side of it is the next dowsing
point.
4. The northeast side of the large room has the next dowsing point.
5. Directly west of the previous dowsing point has the last dowsing point.

                      Triple Towers (DLC Area)

1. A Bayside Plant duplicate, head southeast from the entrance then go
northeast into the room and the first dowsing point will be nearby.
2. Head back west along the path until you reach the southwest room. Behind
the nearby wall is the next dowsing point.
3. Continue east until you reach the southeast room. On the south side of it
is the next dowsing point.
4. Head back to the platform to continue on the path after you get the
required materials to proceed further in. Head east up the path then go
southwest to find the next dowsing point.
5. Continue along the path until you come to the High Jump point. Southeast of
that is the next dowsing point on the small platiform.
6. Use the High Jump and go to the other side past the other High Jump point.
Go northwest to find the final dowsing point.

                       Square Center (DLC Area)

1. A South Middleton duplicate, head northeast along the main road and when
you get to the 4 way, go west. Go southwest past the path but just before the
end of it to find the first dowsing point on some stairs.
2. Go back to the 4 way and continue east, then go north and east to find the
next dowsing point.
3. At the far northeast point of the map is the final dowsing point.

                    Meterological Station (DLC Area)

1. A Crystal Cave duplicate, go northeast past the Sacred Zone to find the
first dowsing point.
2. Go back on the main path and go to the far northeast corner of this area
to find the next dowsing point. This means you have to beat the boss first to
get the required materials to get access.
3. After the Breakthrough, go directly north then west to find the next
dowsing point.
4. The last of the dowsing points require that you beat the boss first to get
the required materials. Go northeast past the Sacred Zone and go north then
west to find the next dowsing point.
5. Go back and go northeast past the Sacred Zone to find the next dowsing
point.
6. Go back and go southeast and High Jump to reach the final dowsing point.

                        South Plains (DLC Area)

1. An Arid Wilderness duplicate, go west as far as you can to get to the High
Jump where the first dowsing point awaits at the far northwest corner.
2. Back on the main path, when you reach the first 4 way, go southeast and go
south to find the next dowsing point.
3. Go back on the main path and go southwest at the next 4 way. When you get
to the Breakthrough area, do so and the next dowsing point is at the far
southwest part of it.
4. Past the star save point further down, go into the abandoned dome to find
the next dowsing point on the far east side of it.
5. Go southwest past the next star save point and go west then north. On the
northeast side of that area is the next dowsing point.
6. Go out of that area and go southwest to find the next dowsing point.
7. Go back on the main path and once you reach the 4 way, continue west. Go
south at the first chance to find the next dowsing point.
8. Continue west on the path to find the next dowsing point southwest of the
nearby save point.
9. Go back to the 3 way area north past the 4 way and go east to go to the
Underground Trail. Go all the way to the blue save point. Northwest in the big
area is the final dowsing point in the game!

                                 Closure

Thanks to everyone involved in the making of this game. Aside from the Order
Breaks, this has been one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played in my
26 years of gaming.
