INTRODUCTION
______________________________________________________________________________
In 2005, Need for Speed: Most Wanted came out. The newest iteration of the
yearly racing series, this game was based around a new feature: a Most Wanted
List. By completing races, you built up cred by completing races, which gave
you a chance to race against members of the Most Wanted list. If you won, you
earned their spot on the list. It was an amazing game that was addicting, so
when a new Most Wanted game was announced in 2012, I had to get it. While
different, it was quickly rose up to one of my favorite racing games of all
time. Naturally, when I saw they had DLC, I wanted it. This guide will
cover everything offered in the first DLC pack: Ultimate Speed. From the
races to the cars to even a checklist, this guide is your ultimate resource
for everything offered in the pack.

-Version 1.0 (December 20, 2013): I cannot believe how much time flies.
I started this guide back in June and it's already December! Since I
completed the Ultimate Speed guide back in September, I decided to break it
off into its own guide for now. In the future, I'll have a complete guide
out (since it's 95% done anyway). But this guide is 100% complete. Any
future updates will be corrections or removing references to my incomplete
guide (whether I release it or I decide to cast it aside).

I. GAME BASICS [BASIC]
______________________________________________________________________________
Need For Speed: Most Wanted Ultimate Speed is an add on that gives you access
to five more cars, one new Most Wanted Race, fourteen new races strewn
across new cars, fifteen new Jack Spots and five new Billboards.
There are also a slew of new milestones and license plates, as well as four
additional achievements. For more info on the game itself, see my full
walkthrough, which will be available shortly.
______________________________________________________________________________
II. CAR RACE WALKTHROUGHS [RACES]
______________________________________________________________________________
Welcome to the car race walkthrough section! This section details all
available races, how to find them and what to expect when you start it.
Keep in mind that 90% of the races are shared with other cars (only 3 or 4
are exclusive to one car) so I will also list which cars have that particular
race and which race it is so you know what you will unlock for it (see
Mods List in section V for more info). If you're looking for the Most
Wanted races, check the next section at [MOSTW]. If you're looking for the
Vita exclusive races, check the exclusives section.
Each race rewards you with 12,000 SP total. If you get first place, you
automatically win the entire amount. If you get second, you get 8,000 SP
(with the gold reducing down to 4,000 next race) and third is 4,000 SP.
Once you've beaten a race with a gold medal, you will only get 500 SP for
winning it again.
Also, if you're going for the achievement/trophy, you only have to win each
UNIQUE race once. That means if you've already beaten a race with a certain
car, you don't have to do it again to get the achievement.

AROUND THE WORLD

-Available to (Race #): Bugatti Veyron Vitesse (#4)
Hennessey Venom GT Spyder (#4)
Lamborghini Aventador J (#5)
McLaren F1 LM (#4)
Pagani Zonda R (#4)
-Location of Race: Callahan Industrial at the Block Road
freeway onramp.
-Race Type: Circuit Race
-Race Length: 13.1 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 11
-Strategy: There's a reason this is called Around The
World: it's because this race is a giant lap
around I92. You start from Callahan
Industrial driving towards Hughes Park and
you end up going all the way around until you
reach the start line again. While I could
write a full walkthrough for it, there are
no real tricks or surprise turns so it's
really unnecessary.
I can tell you though that the trick to this
race is to keep your speed as close to max as
you feel comfortable. You'll be doing a lot
of twisting and turning this race, so make
sure to watch your mini map so you know when
to slow down as you will likely crash if you
don't. Also, keep in mind that all 11 other
racers are using Ultimate Speed cars so don't
expect to come in here with a slower car and
expect to blow them away. Make sure you have
Pro upgrades equipped to make this much
easier.

BURNING BRIDGES
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Bugatti Veyron Vitesse (#3)
-Location of Race: Vincennes Road in McClane
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 5.5 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 7
-Strategy: Head down Vincennes past the intersection
and try to use your nitrous as much as
possible here, since the road is pretty
straight. Also, try to knock a few people
out, as the lanes are pretty narrow here
too.
You'll run into your first checkpoint after
the intersection (5.2). Continue as the
road bends to the right and head left onto
Beltway East, hitting another checkpoint
(4.7). Head straight until you see a big
green turn arrow and slow down, turning to
the right through another checkpoint (4.5).
Continue down Bloomguard, hitting more
checkpoints at 4.3, 3.9 and 3.6. Follow
the bend to the left and the right as you
get onto the Heflin bridge and hit more
checkpoints at 3.1 and 2.7. Slow as you
hit this checkpoint (2.4) and turn right
onto Beddoe in Callahan.
Get another checkpoint at 2.1 as you bend
around to the left, hitting more at 1.9,
1.8 and 1.5. Slow as you reach the
previous checkpoint and turn to the left
to hit more at 1.4, 1.3, 1.0, 0.8 and 0.5.
You'll notice that the road name changed
to Somerset and you'll have to follow it
left across a bend to hit another
checkpoint at 0.3. The race ends right
at the large shipping yard in Ripley's
Point.

-Available to (Race #): Lamborghini Aventador J (#4)
-Location of Race: Burke Street in Ripley's Point
-Race Type: Speed Run
-Race Length: 4.2 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 0
-Strategy: Since this is a Speed Run event, you'll want
to keep your speed as close to max as
possible to earn the gold. Luckily, there's
no competitors to race against so it's more
just keeping your speed up and making sure
you're aware of what lies ahead. Your target
for bronze is 100 MPH (average),
You'll start off on Burke Street going right
down Brigman to your first checkpoint (4.0).
Keep going past two more checkpoints and slow
down slightly as the road bends right. Just
after a third checkpoint, be prepare to make
a sharp bend right onto Bishop Street (3.6).
Go down Bishop past another checkpoint (3.4)
until you reach the end of the street and slow
slightly to safely turn right onto Reese.
Keep going straight to another checkpoint
(3.0) and another at 2.7 when the road turns
into Hoyt. Go left around the bend to another
checkpoint (2.5) and make a sharp left onto
Hallenbeck (2.3). Keep going straight down
Hallenbeck past a checkpoint and left onto
Harris (1.6). Follow the road past three
checkpoints until it turns into Brigman Drive
(1.0) and continue straight off Brigman down
onto a dirt road next to a warehouse. Follow
the path up a ramp and through a tunnel to
the finish line.

-Available to (Race #): Lamborghini Aventador J (#3)
-Location of Race: Bloomguard Street in The Beltway
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 5.0 miles
-Number of Competitors: 4
-Strategy: Start off by going straight down Bloomguard
and passing the large circular structure
on the right. You'll hit your first
checkpoint as you bend left (4.6). The next
on is at 4.2 miles, just after a sharp left
turn onto Beltway North. Pass two more
checkpoints as you head into Downtown and
keep going down the opposite lane to your
first Downtown checkpoint (3.7). Keep
following it around to the left and through
several more checkpoints until you start
heading into The Beltway again (2.1).
Shortly after this, you'll take a sharp right
onto Vincennes Road. Follow it straight
until you reach the intersection with
Hutchinson, where you'll take another sharp
right (1.3). Follow Hutchinson as you head
into McClane and just before the freeway
underpass, there's another sharp right onto
Bryant (0.7). Follow Bryant to it's end and
turn right (0.5) and almost an immediate left
onto Garber. Follow it around the bends to
the finish line.

DRIVE HARD
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Pagani Zonda R (#1)
-Location of Race: Kruger Avenue in McClane
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 3.1 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 5
-Strategy: The race will begin by driving down Kruger
Avenue. Follow it around the bend and under
the overpass as you go through several
checkpoints and the street will eventually
become Malone Street (2.4). Follow it
through a checkpoint and you'll have to
sharply turn right onto Hanna (2.1). Follow
the street to its end and take a left back
onto Kruger (1.6). Follow the road back to
the race start and take a left onto
Hutchinson (ignoring the wavy part of the
road if you can) (1.1). Follow Hutchinson
until it becomes Brody (0.5) and keep going
straight where you'll find the finish line
right before Beltway South intersects with
Brody.
________________________________
FULL OVERDRIVE
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Hennessey Venom GT Spyder (#5)
-Location of Race: On Brody Street between McClane and
Downtown.
-Race Type: Speed Run
-Race Length: 2.5 miles
-Number of Competitors: 0
-Strategy: Unlike other events, this is a speed run,
which has you racing past checkpoints as
you keep your speed up. If you don't
keep your speed up, your average speed will
decline and you'll lose your progress
towards a medal. For this race, your
average speed should be around 150 MPH+.
If you dip below 125, restart as you won't
place unless you bring it back up. You'll
also NEED nitrous, so come back with it and
use it OFTEN in the straight stretches.
Drive straight towards checkpoint #1 (2.3
miles). Follow the left bend as you keep
your hand on the gas to hit checkpoint #2
(2.0 miles). Bend to the left again (go
through the repair station if you want to)
and hit the third checkpoing (1.8 miles).
You'll likely notice the green arrows
telling you to go right. Slow down
slightly and go through the repair station
so you don't lose too much speed turning.
You'll hit the checkpoint after a short
drive (1.5 miles). Continue straight to
another one (1.3 miles) and another
after that (1.1 miles). Slow down as you
reach another set of green arrows and turn
right onto the freeway.
Head straight down the freeway and you'll
hit another checkpoint at 1,150 yards.
This is a great time to use your nitrous
if you have it, as the path is pretty
straight. At 700 yards, you'll hit another
checkpoint and you should see the finish
line right before you hit the bridge leading
into Downtown. If you kept your speed
above 125 MPH, you'll get a medal. If not,
restart.

FULL THROTTLE
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Pagani Zonda R (#5)
-Location of Race: Vincennes Road in The Beltway
-Race Type: Speed Run
-Race Length: 3.1 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 0
-Strategy: 145 MPH is the target here, though you could
win a bronze at 125 MPH (who wants that?).
Remember, being a speed run, you'll want to
keep your average speed high, but you also
don't want to go so fast that you crash (0
MPH for a few seconds doesn't help your
average).
Go straight down Beltway East past your first
checkpoint and be really careful as you
start to reach the second as the guard rail
near the road split may cause you to crash.
Keep going straight as the road weaves
through Downtown until you take a gradual
right at 1.8. Keep going straight into The
Beltway, slowing down slightly so you don't
lose control and smash into the walls of the
overpass in front of you. As soon as you
emerge, take a left onto Bloomguard (1500
yards). Follow it around the bend onto the
suspension bridge and at the end of it will
be the finish line.

-Available to (Race #): McLaren F1 LM (#3)
-Location of Race: Beltway South in Downtown
-Race Type: Circuit Race
-Race Length: 2 Laps
-Number of Competitors: 5
-Strategy: Since this is a Circuit Race, I'll only be
covering how to finish one lap. The other
lap is all up to you (just use the first
strategy). Just keep in mind that you have
to do two laps to win.
Start by going straight up Beltway North into
The Beltway taking a sharp right onto
Bloomguard Street. Follow this to the next
intersection with Gunderson Avenue South and
take another sharp right. Follow this road
as it bends left and be prepared to make a
sharp right turn onto McElroy as soon as you
emerge from the narrow alleys. Follow the
suggested path offroad until you reach
Beltway South then be prepared to drive
between the two lanes and merge out of
oncoming back onto the right side of the
lane. Follow the bend around until you
complete the lap. Do this once more and
victory shall be yours!

LIVE FOR SPEED
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Bugatti Veyron Vitesse (#5)
-Location of Race: Hutchinson Avenue in McClane
-Race Type: Speed Run
-Race Length: 6.2 miles
-Number of Competitors: 0
-Strategy: This is a speed run, so keep in mind that
you have to keep a minimum average speed
in order to qualify for a medal. Just
getting to the end isn't good enough and
your average speed has to be at LEAST 120
to get a medal and 140 to get gold. Use
your nitrous at every available opportunity
and try not to brake too hard when turning.
Start off by following the road as it bends
right then left and you'll hit your first
checkpoint (5.9). Follow Exley up into
Hughes Park and hit more checkpoints at
5.7, 5.3 and 5.1. Right before you hit the
checkpoint at 5.1, slow down slightly and
cut through the repair station onto Clark
Street so you don't lose a ton of speed.
As you head down Clark, slow down when you
see the green arrows and drift right onto
Reynolds (4.8). Follow Reynolds onto the
freeway and you'll hit more checkpoints at
4.5, 4.3, 4.0, 3.8, 3.2, 2.8, 2.3, 2.0, 1.7
and 1.5. All of these are on the freeway
so keep following it until you reach 1.5
miles remaining and take the offramp onto
Reese Drive in Ripley's Point. Go through
the repair station (1.3) and onto Burke.
Follow Burke as you hit more checkpoints
at 1600 yards and 1000 yards. Be careful
as the road turns into Connors Bridge Road
and begins to twist and turn. You'll hit
the finish line at the toll booths in
Downtown. If you averaged 120 MPH or more,
you'll get a medal as well. If not, retry.
________________________________
MOST WANTED VENOM
________________________________
NOTE: This is the new Most Wanted race. Beat it to unlock the
Henessey Venom GT Spyder. Also be aware that you can teleport here even
before finding the location.
-Required SP: None
-Location of Race: I92 West in Callahan Industrial/Hughes Park.
Easiest way to get there is to get on the
freeway from Reynolds heading towards
Callahan and the race is in the center lane
immediately after.
-Race Type: Most Wanted Race
-Race Length: 7.3 miles
-Strategy: Be aware that you will have a Wanted Level of
6 for this race, so it will help to have
reinflates equipped. You also will want to
bring a really fast car with increased
toughness (if you're on Wii U, use Boost U)
so you can bust through the roadblocks.
I also suggest that you try and take down the
car as early as possible to give yourself a
big enough lead early on. If you stay in
front of the car as you race, he will wreck
a lot trying to get around you or be wrecked
by cops. However, keep in mind that he will
likely break away during The Beltway section
so keep that in mind.
Also, the racer tends to go 220+ MPH
constantly, so make sure you're using a
really quick car (like the Koenigsegg or the
Bugatti). It may help to equip long gears as
well. Be forewarned that this is one of the
toughest races in the game. If you haven't
unlocked any of the Most Wanted cars, only
the Bugatti Veyron from the Ultimate Speed
Pack is fast enough to keep up with him.
Take off down the highway and go down the
right lane to a check point. A second check
point is further up (6.5 miles remaining).
You'll bend around to the left to activate a
third checkpoint (5.9 miles remaining).
You'll reach Hodges Airfield right when you
activate checkpoint #4 (5.4 miles remaining).
Again, the freeway bends and you'll hit a
checkpoint there (5.1 miles remaining). You
will go around a bend and have to exit onto
Cameron Road, where another checkpoint
awaits (4.4 miles remaining). Slow down so
you don't wreck as you turn right onto
Cameron and go through another checkpoint.
If you haven't yet taken him down or the
racer is very far ahead of you, restart as
you'll likely not gain enough ground to
catch up to him.
As you go down Cameron, you'll hit several
more checkpoints at 4.1, 3.9, 3.6, 3.4, 3.1,
2.9, 2.6 and 2.2 miles to go. You'll
eventually run into Hughes Park going
straight down Johnson with another
checkpoint. Be aware that there is a
roadblock here with spike strips down the
middle. Go around them, especially if you
do not have Pro Reinflates equipped or you'll
end up not making the turn up ahead. Also
keep in mind that this is likely where the
racer will gain enough speed to pass you, so
keep an eye on his position on the mini map.
You'll hit another checkpoint (1.6 miles) as
you speed down Johnson towards The Beltway.
Watch your turning as the road narrows
considerably. You'll hit The Beltway at
another checkpoint (1.2 miles) and the road
will change to Gunderson Avenue South. Slow
down so you can make the right turn safely.
Stay on the right side so you can swing left
onto Bloomguard without slowing down and
you'll hit another checkpoint (0.9 miles).
At 0.6 miles remaining, you'll hit another
checkpoint. You'll pass Beltway East as you
drive into McClane and the road changes to
Garber (also hitting a checkpoint at 0.4
miles). You'll hit one last checkpoint
before the race ends. If you beat it,
good job! Pat yourself on the back and take
down the driver to unlock a really fast car.

-Location of Race: I92 Off of Hoyt Road in Ripley's Point
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 4.8 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 4
-Strategy: You'll be on the freeway for the start of
this race. Fly straight down the freeway,
bending right and left until you hit the
first checkpoint (4.0). Be careful as the
guard rail begins right as you enter the
tunnel, so if you're going too fast you'll
crash (either into the rail or the raised
median). Follow it back out and again be
careful of your speed here as you enter a
second tunnel. Keep going through several
more outside-then-tunnel areas as you hit
a few more checkpoints. The road will bend
to the right at 2.5 miles to go so follow it
and you'll come out of the tunnel onto
McClane's raised bridge (1.8). Keep going
on the freeway as you pass an S shaped
segment. The finish line will be right
in front of the Junkyard.

-Location of Race: Vincennes Road in McClane
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 3.7 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 5
-Strategy: You'll start off by going up Vincennes
towards McClane. Use the straightaways to
get ahead of your competitors and go through
several checkpoints. Watch out for some of
the twists and turns as the Bugatti goes
too fast for its own good sometimes. At 2.1,
you'll have to make a sharp left turn onto
Hutchinson, so be prepared. You'll go
through several more checkpoints but at the
1.1 checkpoint, be prepared for another sharp
right turn onto Murphy, followed by a second
sharp right onto the I92 onramp. Take it
up to the I92 bridge and go through one last
checkpoint before reaching the finish line
up there.

THE DESCENT
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): McLaren F1 LM (#5)
-Location of Race: Peterson Street in Hughes Park
-Race Type: Speed Run
-Race Length: 4.4 Miles
-Number of Competitors: 0
-Strategy: 130 MPH is your goal here. If you haven't
guessed yet, this one's gonna be tough.
You're gonna have to maintain high speeds
while winding down the circular mountainside.
Start off by going straight and around the
first right bend. Try to get as much speed
on the straight sections as you can, because
you'll be doing a lot of turning, which will
lower your average speed. Go straight until
you reach the circular section (3.8) and
start drifting so you don't lose too much
speed. Once you finish, you'll have another
straight section ahead of you so use it to
your advantage. There will be a slight right
into a checkpoint (3.1) but not sharp enough
that you'll have to slow down. There will be
another straight section with a gradual left
turn, leading to a checkpoint (2.6). Keep
going straight through the city, hitting
several more checkpoints until you reach the
third at 1.8 and be careful as there's a
small underpass that you may crash into so
be careful.
Continue down the street, keeping your speed
up as you go through the S shaped bend and
you'll hit a checkpoint as Exley changes
into Hutchinson (1.3). Follow the road
through 2 checkpoints and an underpass and
after one more checkpoint, you'll finally
reach the finish line.

THE ENFORCER
________________________________
-Available to (Race #): Hennessey Venom GT Spyder (#1)
-Location of Race: In Hughes Park at the intersection of Adams
and Johnson.
-Race Type: Sprint Race
-Race Length: 4.5 miles
-Number of Competitors: 7
-Strategy: There's quite a bit of cars in this race,
but since it's exclusive to one of the
fastest cars in the game, you shouldn't have
too much trouble (aside from getting cramped
in a few small alleyways).
Go straight down Johnson to the first
checkpoint (4.3 miles). Continue heading
down Johnson into The Beltway to reach the
second checkpoint (3.9 miles). Slow down
so you can make the right turn safely and
not crash into the wall then continue
straight under the large metal rings to
the third checkpoing (3.7 miles). Bend
right onto Bloomguard and hit the fourth
checkpoint (you may need to slow down so you
don't crash into a building).
Follow Bloomguard up until you see green
arrows and slow slightly so you can turn
through an off-road section onto Beltway
North. Follow Beltway North to another
checkpoint (2.8 miles) and another at 2.5
miles. There's yet another at 2.3. Watch
out because the game will take you through a
very narrow lane with traffic so keep your
wits about you. Keep going around the bend
to another checkpoint (1.8 miles) and another
at 1.6 as you bend right (stay in the
oncoming lane). Take a sharp right when you
see the green arrows and follow it down
Bloomguard again. You'll hit another
checkpoint at 1.1 miles before you have to
take a sharp right onto Gunderson Avenue
South. You'll hit another checkpoint at
0.8 miles. Be careful as you bend around to
the right and left on this alleyway. If you
go too fast, you'll crash into the wall.
You'll hit another couple checkpoints and
head back down Johnson into Hughes Park.
When you reach where Johnson turns into
Cameron Drive, you'll see the finish line.

III. COLLECTABLES [COLLE]
______________________________________________________________________________
Ultimate Speed contains 5 additional Billboards to find as well as 15 new
Jack Spots hidden throughout Fairhaven. Since they're spread out, I will be
listing them by type, rather than by location.
___________________________________________________________________________

BILLBOARDS [BOARD]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ultimate Speed Pack adds an additional 5 billboards to Fairhaven.
Unlike the regular billboards, these have a picture of a white car on them
with the words "ULTIMATE SPEED" above it (looks similar to a license plate
background). Be forewarned though that none of the five are in the same
area.
*1 (Brody Street [McClane]): In McClane, go to the intersection of Murphy
and Brody and take a right onto Brody. As soon as you get to the second
bend (about halfway down the W shape road), turn around and drive to the
multi-windowed building on the right. You should see a small ramp and
billboard here. You're gonna have to go pretty fast to make the landing
and you'll have to angle yourself towards the street as you're flying off
the ramp, otherwise you'll fly right into the water and the board won't
count.
*2 (I92 East [McClane]): Leave McClane going east down I92 until it begins
to bend North. Look on the right side for a BAC Mono Jack Spot and when
you reach it, turn around and you'll see two billboards to your left.
Go towards the one more on the right and you'll find a short ramp that
leads up to to the second billboard of the DLC.
*3 (Gunderson Avenue North [The Beltway]): From the intersection of
Bloomguard and Gunderson Avenue North, turn right onto Gunderson Avenue
North and look immediately to the right to find a staircase leading upwards.
Follow it up and turn left at the top, then follow this ramp up until you
can turn right into an opening on the right side. Turn left just after you
reach the roof to find this billboard at the end of a small ramp.
*4 (I92 West [Callahan Industrial]): Take the second freeway onramp in
Callahan (the one from Block Road) and head towards Hughes Park (East).
When the lanes split, watch the center divider until it opens up into
a dirt off-road area between the two lanes. At the end of this dirt
road is a short ramp that leads up to the billboard. It helps a lot if you
come from the oncoming side. You also have to be going at least 90 MPH to
make the jump, though you could always angle yourself like billboard #1
so you land on the other side sooner.
*5 (I92 North [Hodges Airfield]): From the entrance to Hodges Airfield, drive
past it on the freeway until the split lanes merge back together. As they
do, you'll notice a short ramp in the middle of the highway that aims at
a pretty far billboard. Make sure you get a lot of room, cause you'll have
to go at least 105 MPH to hit it. When you do, congratulate yourself for
finding all five Ultimate Speed billboards.

IV. CARS & PRO UPGRADES [CARS]
______________________________________________________________________________
Welcome to the Cars & Pro Upgrades section! This section will detail all the
cars available in the game as well as the upgrades you can give them and how
to unlock them. You'll also find out where you can find all three Jack Spots
for a particular car and what races you can compete in for each car.
___________________________________________________________________________

STANDARD MODS [SMODS]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you first hop into a car, either in Multiplayer or in Single Player,
you will notice that everything on your car is stock. When you win races
with that car, you will begin to unlock mods, which alter your car's
performance either for better or for worse. In the Single Player section,
I will explain what each Mod does and how to unlock them in Single Player.
The Multiplayer section just shows you how to unlock them.
__________________________________________________________

SINGLE PLAYER [SPMOD]
----------------------------------------------------------
All of the Single Player Mods are unlocked by winning specific races.
However, though the races change for each car, the results are always the
same. Check below for how to unlock. I list each race by the order
they're in the "Races" section of the EasyDrive. For example, we'll use
the Ariel Atom's Race List:
*Straight to the Point (first race)
*Crush Hour (second race)
*Liberty Park (third race)
*Turbulence (fourth race)
*The Getaway (fifth race)
Use these race numbers to figure out which race you need to beat to get a
particular mod.
________________________________
TIRES
________________________________
*Stock: Standard tires that perform average on tarmac but poorly off-road.
These come standard and do not need to be unlocked.
*Off-Road: Increase your performance off-road, but decrease your performance
on tarmac. Unlock by placing 2nd in the first race.
*Track: Increase your tarmac performance and control but at the cost of
further decreasing your off-road performance. Unlock by placing 2nd in the
second race.
*Reinflates: These tires reinflate after a short while of bursting (great
for running over spike strips). These are always unlocked by finishing
3rd in all five of a car's events.
________________________________
NITROUS
________________________________
*Burn: Increases your speed gradually as you continue to use it. You can
stop using it at any time to preserve parts of your bar. This is unlocked
by placing 1st in the first race.
*Powershot: Uses your entire Nitrous bar at once to give your car a huge
increase in speed. This is always unlocked by placing 1st in the fourth
race.
*Boost U: Wii U Exclusive Nitrous that comes standard on every car. Reacts
the same as Burn but adds reinforcement to the front of the car, making it
much tougher to crash.
________________________________
CHASSIS
________________________________
*Stock: Standard chassis that provides a balance of toughness and speed.
*Lightweight: Improves your control and acceleration at the cost of
toughness (resulting in much more crashes). Place 1st in the second race
to unlock this.
*Reinforced: Reduces damage taken from impacts and helps protect your car
from crashing at the cost of acceleration and control. Place 2nd in the
third race to unlock this.
________________________________
BODY
________________________________
*Stock: Standard body that balances toughness and top speed.
*Aero: Increases jump distance and top speed at the cost of toughness.
Place 1st in the fourth race to unlock this.
*Impact Protection: Stabilizes car during impacts and increases toughness
at the cost of top speed. Place 2nd in the fourth race to unlock this.

MULTIPLAYER [MPMOD]
----------------------------------------------------------
As stated before, Multiplayer mods and cars are completely seperate from the
Single Player portion of the game and need to be unlocked seperately. This
list will show you how to unlock them. Keep in mind that you have to unlock
each mod for each car you use. You can't just drive 50 miles between six
different cars and expect all of them to have reinflates, you have to use
one single car to get that mod for that car only.

PRO MODS [PMODS]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you unlock mods, you'll notice a requirement on the bottom to unlock
a Pro version of that mod. Pro Mods are upgraded mods that usually have all
the beneficts of the regular Mod with either removed or lessened decreases
in performance. Again, the ways to unlock the Pro versions of mods are
different for Single Player and Multiplayer, so visit the particular section
you need help with.
__________________________________________________________

SINGLE PLAYER [SPMOD]
----------------------------------------------------------
Though the specific races that unlock Mods are different for each car, the
conditions required to upgrade them to Pro are the same for every car. The
only requirement is that you have to have the particular Standard Mod
equipped to progress towards the Pro version of it (if you have Off-Road
tires equipped, you will not gain any progress towards Pro Track, even if you
drift 5000 yards with them).

MULTIPLAYER [MPMOD]
----------------------------------------------------------
Like the Standard Mods, the unlock methods for multiplayer are completely
different than the Single Player versions. Not only do you have to have the
Standard Mod equipped but you have to be in the middle of a Speedlist for
any progress to be made towards the Pro version. If you are not in a
Speedlist, you will not make any progress towards it at all. Keep that in
mind.

CAR LIST [CLIST]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the car list! This list will cover every single car in the DLC,
where to find its Jack Point and which races the car has (as well as which
ones unlock which parts). If you're looking for how to upgrade its Mods,
check the above sections.
There are five new cars added with the Ultimate Speed Pack with one of them
being a Most Wanted car. Also, all of the Jack Spots are labeled on the
Mini Map as wheels with fire on them, irregardless of whether or not you've
found that particular Jack Spot (you can even teleport to them to have them
count if you're lazy). Keep that in mind.

V. MILESTONES & PLATE BACKGROUNDS [MSPLT]
______________________________________________________________________________
The Ultimate Speed DLC adds in several new Multiplayer milestones and
Single Player ones (though they're simply reiterations of the normal car
milestones). For more info on the single player milestones, check my full
guide. Below is a list of terms you may need to know to complete these
milestones
___________________________________________________________________________

MILESTONE BASIC INFORMATION [MINFO]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this section, I will detail the terms that the Milestones are using and
how to perform them. Use this section as a reference if you're having
difficulty understanding or getting a particular milestone.
*Air Time: This refers to how long you must be in the air after a
jump. In this game, it's measured in seconds. You
usually can find jumps near Billboards, but you can
also get Air Time by driving off of tall buildings.
Most Air Time Milestones are cumulative.
*Burn Nitrous: This is the default Nitrous you get after beating the
first event. It features a bar of energy that you can
use gradually to boost your car's speed. Most Boost
Nitrous milestones require you to use it for a set
amount of time. Keep in mind that it will usually say
"Burn" on the milestone if you need it. If not, you will
likely have to use Powershot Nitrous.
*Drift: A drift is when the driver uses the E-Brake while
driving fast, which causes the car's wheels to lock up
and "drift" around a turn. In this game, you can drift
by driving quickly and hitting the E-brake button
(ZL, Left Trigger, L2 or Square). However, keep in mind
that you only tap it in this game, rather than hold it.
Most drift challenges are "drift X yards".
*Elimination: When you fall behind on a Speed Test, you have a chance
of being eliminated. For more info, see Speed Test.
*Jump: To jump is to drive off of the edge of a structure so
you get Air Time. You can use ramps (usually near
Billboards) to get jumps, but you can also drive off of
buildings or structures. Most challenges require you to
jump a certain distance in yards. There are also
several challenges that require you to "Jump X Cars".
It's similar: you just have to make sure you clear the
number of cars before you land.
*Near Miss: This is where you drive closely enough to a car that you
almost hit it, but turn at the last second. It's
easiest to drive into oncoming traffic and turn back to
your lane right before you collide. On Single Player,
the milestones are to evade traffic. On Multiplayer,
they are to evade other racers. If you weave between
oncoming cars, you can get a Near Miss Chain.
*Perfect Nitrous: To get a Perfect Nitrous bonus, you have to have Burn
Nitrous equipped and a full bar. You then have to drain
the bar completely without hitting anything.
*Slipstreaming: To slipstream, you need to be in a race. You get it by
following behind a racer. The proper name for this is
"drafting" (for you Nascar folk). Just follow behind
any racer and try to keep right behind their tailpipe.
*Speed Camera/Trap: A Speed Camera, aka a Speed Trap, is a small blue box
that records your speed any time you're going 50+ MPH.
In Single Player, they're collectables that you have
to find (and the milestones reflect that). In
multiplayer, you can use the same Speed Trap to get
cumulative milestones.
*Wreck: When you crash into something so hard that the game
slows down or disallows you to move, you've wrecked.
You'll know when the camera changes to the side of your
car and cinematic bars appear at the top and bottom of
the screen. Several seconds later, you will respawn
either in the same spot (if you can still drive) or
somewhere on the nearest road (if you flip or drive
into water). To wreck someone else is to cause them to
be unable to drive. If you do so, you'll earn a
Takedown (see Takedown for more info).

MILESTONES [MILES]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only new Single Player milestones added were five categories for the new
cars. However, since they are the exact same as the regular car milestones,
they will not be included here (you can simply substitute the name of the
car out from the above section. The new milestones are located under the
Multiplayer Milestones menu.

VI. FAQS [FAQS]
______________________________________________________________________________
Q: Help! Your Most Wanted list doesn't match up!/What's a Jack Point?/Where
can I get money to upgrade?
A: This is for the 2012 Most Wanted game. It has a red city and a white car
on the cover. You're playing the 2005 version. This guide does not cover
it, sorry.
Q: Does this guide cover the iPod/Android version?
A: No. That game is vastly different and only focuses on the races. It also
doesn't even let you control the gas yourself. If I get enough support
for this game, I'll do another walkthrough for the mobile version.
Q: Is this game a remake of the original Most Wanted?
A: No. This game is more of a spiritual successor, as you still climb up the
Most Wanted list, but you don't purchase anything. It's much more
influenced on exploration.
Q: Where's the rest of the cars?
A: This guide covers the Ultimate Speed DLC ONLY.
Q: Where's your section on multiplayer?
A: I don't have one. I included the multiplayer milestones and upgrades, but
I don't cover how to play in mutlipayer as I'm not the best racer on the
net (and wouldn't be much help to you). However, I can give you the info
you need to upgrade your car or get that milestone.
Q: If you're not good at multiplayer, how did you get the info on all the
milestones?
A: I copied them down mainly from the license plate area. However, I did
grab a few from the Need for Speed Wiki (and guessed some that they
didn't have). If my info doesn't match up, please e-mail me so I can
fix it, thanks.
Q: What's this I hear about an exclusive car from Slim Jim?
A: In the United States only (and ONLY on PC/Xbox 360/PS3), if you buy a Slim
Jim with an EA wrapper on it, you'll get a code you can redeem for an
exclusive car. If you're wondering, it's a Dodge Charger SRT8 but it's
only available in multiplayer.
Q: How do I get the Ultimate Speed Pack?
A: For the 360 and PS3, check their specific marketplaces. For the Wii U,
the Ultimate Speed Pack is built in, but no other DLC is available for it.
For the Vita, no DLC is available at all. Sorry!
Q: Where's your information for Movie Pack/Hero Pack/Terminal Velocity Pack?
A: This guide is for Ultimate Speed only. See my full guide in the future
or my future DLC guides for coverage.
Q: This game is amazing! Where can I get more?
A: Purchase the remaining three DLC for Most Wanted 2012. There's also no
less than 7 other NFS games on the 360, and a lot of them available for
the PS3 and PC. I hear this game is more like Burnout, but I can't
say because I haven't played them in nearly 10 years.
Q: Help! I'm missing a _____!
A: I wrote the guide for a reason. Check the Collectables section first (I
list all of them up there).
Q: I need help with a race!
A: Check the section above. I can only give you guidance on this one, as a
lot of it boils down to luck and memorization.

Q: Can I e-mail you this uber cheat?
A: No you may not.
Q: Your guide is awesome! Can I host it?
A: No, you may not. This guide is only to be hosted on www.gamefaqs.com and
its affiliate www.gamespot.com. It's amazing that I still get e-mailed
this question even though it says no clearly in four spots.
Q: Are you considering writing any more guides for the series?
A: Yes. My full guide should be out shortly as will more DLC guides for the
game. As far as more NFS games, I may cover Hot Pursuit 2010 as I have
the most experience with that one, but we'll see.
Q: You suck.
A: I know I don't even need to vacuum anymore but thanks for the observation.
Q: Do you have any other contributed works?
A: For a complete list of my published walkthroughs and reviews, visit

VII. ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES [AWARD]
______________________________________________________________________________
Since this game is available on the Xbox 360/PS3 systems, naturally there
are several achievements/trophies to unlock. Below, I've listed them and
strategies to unlock them. Enjoy!
-Unstoppable: Finish first in every race in the USP
There are five new cars, each with five new races to complete. Four are
available from Jack Points while the last is a new Most Wanted event you
have to complete. Finish all 14 new races to unlock this one.
-Snake Bite: Shut down the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder
This is a new Most Wanted race that's available as soon as you download
it. Simply set your GPS target to find the race and beat it, then take
down the car to unlock this one.
-Uncanny: Get Supersonic, Superpowered, Super Natural and Super Freak plates
These are a bit different and require specific goals. Super Sonic
requires you to drive the Pagani Zonda at 210 over the McClane Bridge,
Super Powered requires you to jump a Bugatti Venom over 175 yards at
Ripley's Point, Super Natural requires you to get a 750 yard drift at
Peterson Street Loop with a Lamborghini Aventador J and Super Freak
requires you to jump 6+ cars at Hodges Airfield with a McLaren F1.
For the Super Sonic one, equip Burst nitrous to get a big boost of
speed. The rest are simply luck and skill based. Keep at it until
you unlock all four.
-Sidekicked: Takedown an opponent with Ultimate Fan as your plate
To unlock Ultimate Fan, you have to unlock all multiplayer REGULAR
mods. You DO NOT have to unlock the Pro upgrades. However, you
do need to get all the regular mods for ALL 5 CARS. Then you have
to find a match online and take down someone with it equipped.
