1. Introductions
Welcome to my second FAQ ever. I have no idea what to put here, so I'll keep
this short. If you have any suggestions or feedback, email me at
dod_snap @ hotmail.com.
You may wonder why I'm writing a boss FAQ now with the other FAQs already
covering them. Well, because the other FAQs don't always tell you exactly
how to dodge an attack and most importantly, because the others are focused
on Expert mode, this one will have a detailed description on the attack and
how to avoid it, both on Expert and Maniac mode.
Some attacks may seem hard to dodge and perhaps you'll need to see it first
before you can do it correctly. That's why I've made videos for some attacks
that require a specific move to avoid. If there is an attack that you really
can't dodge and you'd like to see it on video, email me (put Rockman ZX FAQ
in the title) and I will record a video, upload it and add it to the FAQ for
everyone. Please don't ask me to record videos of every boss battle, I have
to play by watching my camera screen and that slows me down a lot so it's
much harder to beat a boss that way and I just don't have the time for it.
Also, I made this FAQ for people that have trouble beating Boss Survival
mode, I'll give some special hints for that.
The order of the bosses in this FAQ is the same as the order in which you
have to fight them in Boss Survival Mode.
I haven't played Easy mode yet and I doubt I ever will, but I suppose it's
basicly the same as Expert mode but with much easier attacks.

2.1 Explanation
This is an example of how I'm going to describe and analyse the bosses.
Boss: the name of the boss
Difficulty: the boss's difficulty for normal mode/hard mode
No. of lifebars: bosses have multiple lifebars, this is how many
Recommended form: the Model or form you should use for an easy win
Elemental weakness: the element that will do a lot of damage
Resisted element: the element that will do no damage
Weakness: the place on the boss's body that is most vulnerable
Attacks:
--------
* Attack#1:
Expert: Description of attack#1 in Expert mode
Maniac: Differences of attack#1 in Maniac mode
How to Dodge:
Expert: How to avoid being hit by attack#1 in Expert mode
Maniac: How to avoid being hit by attack#1 in Maniac mode
---
* Attack#2:
Expert: Description of attack#2 in Expert mode
Maniac: Differences of attack#2 in Maniac mode
How to Dodge:
Expert: How to avoid being hit by attack#2 in Expert mode
Maniac: How to avoid being hit by attack#2 in Maniac mode

when you have all forms

========================================================================
===================
3.1 Diaburn the Gazelloid [dia]
Difficulty: Easy/Medium
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model A, Tesrat
Elemental weakness: Thunder
Resisted element: Ice
Weakness: The hair on his back
Attacks:
--------
* Fire arrows:
(Expert)
He will shoot 3 fire arrows in your direction. One straight at you, the
other 2 in a 45° angle upwards and downwards. The arrows will stick to
whatever surface they hit and keep burning. They can do damage until
they disappear. The top and bottom arrows will 'land' in the middle
between you and him.
(Maniac)
The top and bottom arrow have a different angle, so they will 'land'
closer to you.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Dash under the middle arrow, don't run into them while they're
sticking on the wall/floor/ceiling.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert but the bottom arrow is closer to you this time so be
careful when you dash under the middle arrow or you could be dashing
right into the bottom one.
---
* Jump Strike:
(Expert)
A cursor will appear somewhere. That will indicate where he'll strike.
You'll only be able to see the cursor if the ceiling is still there,
if not you'll have to guess. He will power up for a short while then
either he'll jump straight up and land on the same spot or he'll jump
straight up and fly to your position.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert but he won't always do his mini powerup, he might do
a small jump and strike down at you.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
If you think he's just going to fly up, stay where you are.
If you think he'll attack you, quickly dash under him while he's above
you.
---
* Spinning Blades:
(Expert)
He will shoot 2 spinning blades upwards, one will move to the left,
the other to the right, then return to him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
If you're close to him, go stand even closer, as close as you can. When
the blades return to him jump over it.
If you're far away, just stay where you are.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
First of all, in the beginning of the battle, try to get off the roof and
get inside the train as fast as you can. You have more space to move and
often the ceiling will prevent him to do his Jump Strike attack.
He's not that hard though. His Fire Arrows are easy to dodge and his Jump
Strike is pretty predictable. Keep your distance (unless he's using his
Spinning Blades) and keep firing your charged shot at him.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
This is why I recommend Tesrat. First of all, Tesrat is small, so you can
just stand still and his Fire Arrows won't even hit you. Also, Tesrat is
fast, if he does his Jump Strike you can quickly roll to the other side of
the room and even if you'd bump into him, chances are he gets damaged and
you don't. Charge your weapon and shoot when he's on the ground. The
Thunder element will not only do a lot of damage but also stun him for a
short while. With Tesrat you should be able to beat Diaburn quickly and
without taking any damage.
===================
========================================================================
===================
3.2 Chronoforce the Tridenroid [chr]
Difficulty: Easy/Hard
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model A, Model ZX, Chronoforce
Elemental weakness: Fire
Resisted element: Thunder
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Charge:
(Expert)
He'll (underwater) 'dash' towards you. If you stand behind him the
the whirlpool created by his giant ice spike will drag you with him.
(Maniac)
Same but faster.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Either jump over him or dash under him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Ice Spikes:
(Expert)
If he moves upwards with his belly facing you, you know he's about
to use this attack. He will fire 4 ice spikes towards the ground.
If you get hit you'll be frozen and unable to move for a while.
(Maniac)
He does the same thing but first of all, the spikes will move faster
PLUS he will fire another 4 spikes right after the first 4. The second
set of spikes are aimed towards the free spots on the ground.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
There are quite a few places where you can stand so the spikes won't
hit you. This is what I'd recommend. If he's on the right side of the
screen, stand on the spot between the second and third spike counting
from the left. If he's on the left, stand between the second and the
third spike counting from the right.
(Maniac)
Oh boy. Same as above but this time jump between them. If he's on the
right, when he shoots the first set of spikes, dashjump between the
second and third spike counting from the left then quickly move left
and then get on the ground as fast as you can and dash away.
If he's on the right, when he shoots the first set of spikes, dashjump
between the second and the third spike counting from the right then
quickly move right and then get on the ground as fast as you can and
dash away.
---
* Mini Chronoforces:
(Expert)
He'll withdraw, then bury himself under the ground and 4 mini
Chronoforces will come out of his back and try to crash into you.
Then he'll move to the other side of the screen while still being
underground.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
If you see him withdraw, prepare Model A's Homing Shot. As soon as the
mini Chronoforces come out of his back, target them all and shoot.
Then jump over Chronoforce.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Ice Spike Shot:
(Expert)
He'll move to the bottom of the screen, then fire 2 ice spikes towards
you. Then he'll do his Charge attack.
(Maniac)
Instead of 2 he will fire 3 ice spikes at you. Also, he doesn't pause
after the third spike, he immediatly attacks you.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
He will fire the ice spike towards the height where you were when he was
creating it, that's the weakness. Do a small jump over the first spike,
then a small jump over the second.
(Maniac)
The weakness I mentioned above. Because his speed is higher than in
Expert mode, by the time you jump over the first spike, he's already
creating the third one. Do a high jump over the first spike, then a
small one over the second spike. Because of the high jump the third
spike should be higher than the other 2, this will allow you to dash
under the third one. Ofcourse you can also do 3 small jumps but then
chances are Chronoforce will hit you using his Charge attack while
you're still in mid-air from jumping over the third spike.
---
* Clock Speed +:
(Expert)
He'll appear in the background and his big ass spike will rotate as
if he were a clock. This will speed up time (for him) and will make
all his attacks much faster. You'll see blue glitter on the screen.
When this glitter disappears the effect has wore off.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert BUT, BIIIIIG BUT as soon as the battle begins he
will use this ability. Also it won't wear off at all, it will last
for the entire battle.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
N/A
(Maniac)
N/A
---
* Ice Spike Rain:
(Expert)
He'll appear in the background. All the ice spikes on his body will
appear on the screen on a random position and moving in random
directions. If you're lucky the spikes will just move around the
screen a bit. If you're unlucky there will be spikes splitting up
in 4 smaller spikes that move in an X formation. The mini spikes do
less damage than the big ones. After that he will turn back time and
the spikes will return to him in exactly the same angles.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
This attack is pretty random so you'll have to improvise. DO NOT JUMP!
Stay on the ground at all times during this attack walking only left
and right. If you managed to dodge the spikes, REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID!
Now he'll turn back time and the spikes will do the same thing but
reversed. So do exactly what you did before but reversed.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
Oh boy. In Expert mode this boss isn't hard. Be extra careful when he
speeds up time, hope for the best when he uses Ice Spike Rain. Make sure
you're always ready to charge your Homing Shot attack for when he creates
those mini versions of himself.
Now in Maniac mode this guy is a pain, a lot of people playing Maniac get
stuck here.
Alright, use Model A and constantly shoot charged shots at his 'face'. If
he summons the mini-Chronoforce, blast them with the Homing Shot. If you
fight him in Boss Survival mode, Boss Battle mode or in the final stage,
if he speeds up time and you're having trouble with that, transform into
Chronoforce and slow down time with your ability.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
Use Model ZX, charge both saber and buster, dash towards him and unleash
both. This will beat him quickly. If he speeds up time and you don't want
to take risks, transform into Chronoforce and slow down time again.

3.3 Rosespark the Floweroid [ros]
Difficulty: Easy
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model A, Model ZX
Elemental weakness: Ice
Resisted element: Fire
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Electric Spikes:
(Expert)
He will throw 4 electric spikes in different directions.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Just stay as far away from him as you can and you have plenty of time
to move to a safe spot.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Electric Triangle:
(Expert)
He will shoot 3 electric orbs in different directions. When they hit
the wall they form a triangle that damages anything in between the 3
orbs.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Just stay away from him and you should be fine.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Switch Vine:
(Expert)
He will move to the vine next to him, meanwhile, 2 electric orbs will
move up and down on that vine.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Don't stand under him when he switches vines. Quickly dash to another
spot.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Laserbeam:
(Expert)
He will sit still for a short while and you will hear a sound like an
alarm. Then he will fire a huge laserbeam straight forward and move
towards the ceiling damaging everything in it's path.
(Maniac)
This time he will fire 3 laserbeams, one straight forwards and 2
others in a 45° angle.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
There are 4 vines, if you're lucky he'll be in one of the middle ones.
In that case, quickly climb up the wall and dash jump over him. If you
can't dodge the attack in time, quickly bump into him, you'll get
damaged from hitting him, but the laserbeam does a lot more damage so
it's ok.
(Maniac)
You'll have to be much faster because the top laserbeam will hit the
wall you need to dashjump over him. If you have Model H, switch to
that and do an upwards airdash to get to the other side of him.
Strategy:
---------
He's not hard, just keep shooting charged buster shots at him while
avoiding his attacks. Keep as much distance as you can, this will leave
big openings between his Electric Spikes. The only dangerous attack is
his laserbeam but even if he hits you with it on Maniac mode, you'll
still survive.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
For an even easier battle, use Model ZX and do the rolling jump on him.
Do a triple slash when he's on the ground and he'll be dead in no time.
===================
========================================================================
===================
3.4 Condorock the Vulturoid [con]
Difficulty: Medium
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model L
Elemental weakness: none
Resisted element: none
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Guitar Smash:
(Expert)
He'll swing with his guitar.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Don't stand close to him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Sound Waves:
(Expert)
He'll start jamming on his guitar which creates a sound wave around
him. He'll float around while he does this.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stay on the lower part of the room, if he comes on your side, dash
under him and get to the other side.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Sound Waves 2:
(Expert)
He'll start jamming on his guitar which creates a sound wave around
him but this time he'll stay where he is. The 3 spotlight thingies on
the ceiling will fall down and a lot of junk will shoot in various
directions. Sometimes he will try to suck you towards him first.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Get to the other side of the room and don't stand under the spotlight.
The junk won't hit you there, now quickly destroy the spotlights.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Confusion:
(Expert)
You see those 2 giant subwoofer boxes in the background, one left and
one on the right. One of them will emit a sound wave. If you get stuck
in one you won't be able to move for a while. Then your character won't
be able to attack for about 10 seconds.
(Maniac)
If the sound wave hits you in Maniac mode you won't be able to attack
for about 10 seconds AND all your actions will be reversed. Pressing
left will make your character move right and the other way around.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand in the middle of one of the ramps and the sound waves won't hit
you.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Junk Zombies:
(Expert)
He will float to the center of the screen and fire 3 waves towards the
ground. At those positions, a Junk Zombie enemy will appear.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Just kill them.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
This battle may seem hard at first with all the different things that can
damage you, Condorock, his sound waves, the Junk enemies, the spotlights.
If you're using Model A then the battle won't be easy. Your shots won't
do much damage and the Junk Zombies will team up on you before you can
destroy them. If you have to deal with Junk Zombies, Condorock AND
lowered spotlights then you're in for trouble. If you're playing the story
then I suggest you do the Highway stage first, Model L is a real life
saver here, let me tell you why. 2 slashes is enough to destroy a Junk
enemy, another 2 to permanently destroy it. 3 quick slashes is enough to
destroy a spotlight (add 1 slash to that number if you're playing Maniac
mode). You need more slashes if you're using Model H or ZX and a LOT more
shots as Model A. Also Model L does decent damage on Condorock as well. Be
sure to avoid his Confusion attack, if you can't attack (and have trouble
moving in Maniac) and he summons Junk Zombies you got problems.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
You could use ZX now, you'll beat him faster but you'll need to attack the
Junk Zombies and spotlights more. If you do, do jump slashes instead of
triple slashes, it's faster.

4.1 Rockman Model F: Atlas [rmf]
Difficulty: Easy
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model A, Model ZX
Elemental weakness: Thunder
Resisted element: Ice
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Custom Buster Shots:
(Expert)
You will see a red line coming out of her weapon. That's the line her
shots will follow.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Dash away, don't touch the line.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Buster Shots 1:
(Expert)
She'll stand on the floor and shoot some buster shots at you OR she'll
stand on the top platform and shoot some buster shots at you.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Climb the wall if she's on the floor. Drop down if she's on the top
platform.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Buster Shots 2:
(Expert)
This is only when she is standing on the top platform. She'll drop down
and shoot a couple of buster shots at you.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Just stand on the floor, the last buster shot will move over your head.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Buster Shots 3:
(Expert)
This is only when you're standing on the top platform. She'll dash
under you and shoot buster shots upwards.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Dash away.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Ground Strike: (Grey only)
(Expert)
She'll charge, jump to the floor if she's not already there and then
smash the ground to create a wave of fire in the direction she's
facing.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Climb the wall, get to the top platform.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Mines: (Ashe only)
(Expert)
She'll charge, jump to the floor if she's not already there and then
move to the left or right side of the screen. She'll place 4 mines,
one at every pillar in the background. They'll explode in the order
that she placed them.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Climb the wall, move over the top platform, wait until the first mine
has exploded then move to that spot and stay there until all of them
have exploded.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
This battle can be so incredibly easy if you want it to be, even on Maniac
mode, but then you have to follow 2 rules. One, never be on the same height
as her, if she's on the top platform you be on the floor, if she's on the
floor you should be on the top platform. Two, never stand above her.
Use Model A and constantly shoot charged shots at her. Just move around a
lot and switch levels when she does, that way her buster shots are
worthless. I don't know what else to put here since this battle is really
easy.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
You could use ZX now, it won't make that much of a difference though.
Don't use the saber, you'll increase the chances of getting hit.
===================
========================================================================
===================
4.2 Rockman Model P: Shiarnaq [rmp]
Difficulty: Medium
No. of lifebars: 2
Recommended form: Model A
Elemental weakness: none
Resisted element: none
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Vanish:
(Expert)
Not really an attack. He'll vanish and later appear on another spot.
Be careful though, he could appear where you are standing and damage
you by touching you.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
N/A
(Maniac)
N/A
---
* Shurikens 1:
(Expert)
He will throw 2 shurikens straight forward. He'll do this 2 times.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Jump over them or climb the wall.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Shurikens 2:
(Expert)
He will throw some shurikens in various directions.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stay far away from him, dash or jump through an opening between them.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Shurikens 3:
(Expert)
He will jump up and hang on one of the platforms, then throw 3 shurikens
downwards followed by 1 shuriken in your direction. Sometimes he will
climb up to the platform and do this again from that position.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand on the floor on the other side of the screen. As soon as he throws
his 3 shurikens, climb the wall to the platform above you to dodge
those. Then drop down, if he throws any more just dash to avoid.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Shadow Image:
(Expert)
He will create 3 purple shadow versions of himself, 2 under each
platform and 1 in the top center of the room. After a while they will
each throw 2 shurikens. Only 1 of them is real and can be hit.
(Maniac)
In Maniac mode there are 4 shadow clones, this time 2 on top.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Climb on the wall, quickly target them with the Homing Shot then shoot.
This will obviously hit the real one and the attack will stop.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Big Bouncing Shurikens: (Grey only)
(Expert)
He'll charge and then throw 2 large shurikens in your direction that
will bounce around the room.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Climb the wall to the platform above you, dashjump to the other platform
before the shuriken hits you. Now stay there for about a second then
dashjump back to the other platform. Some people had trouble dodging
this attack so I made a video.
[---Video---]
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=45JNENuOeZE
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Purple Shield: (Ashe only)
(Expert)
He will create 4 purple orbs that rotate around him. The orbs will move
in an circle motion that keeps expanding.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stay far away from him then dash between 2 purple orbs when you see an
opening.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
Another battle that may seem overwhelming at first (as Grey at least) but
is not that hard. Just keep your distance so you have enough time to
respond to his shurikens and keep firing charged shots with Model A.
The big shuriken attack has a huge blind spot, just look at the video.
Be on your guard when he appears and be prepared to dash away if he appears
on your position. The purple orb attack may be hard to dodge if he's in the
middle of the screen, in that case get to the top and drop down when they
pass you.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
Just follow the strategy mentioned above.

6.1 Prometheus and Pandora [pnp]
Difficulty: Medium/Hard
No. of lifebars: 3
Recommended form: Model A, Model H, Model P
Elemental weakness: none
Resisted element: none
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Fire Pillars (Prometheus):
(Expert)
Prometheus will appear floating in the center of the screen. He will
create 2 fire pillars on his position. One will move left and the
other right damaging everything in it's path.
(Maniac)
The pillars will move faster.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand either on the left or right side of the screen (I'd recommend
left, see next attack). Make sure you're using a form that can shoot.
Shoot the pillar moving towards you as fast as you can to push it back.
(Maniac)
You'll need to shoot more and faster to stop it.
---
* Rotating Fire Pillars (Prometheus):
(Expert)
Prometheus will appear floating in the center of the screen. He will
create 2 fire pillars on his position. They will rotate around him in
an expanding circle.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand on the far left side of the screen, as soon as the pillar on his
left side moves to the background, go stand closer to him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Staff Play (Pandora):
(Expert)
She will appear at the middle of the screen and create 4 clones of her
staff. These will rotate around her during the entire attack. Then she
will throw 2 of them (one left and one right) either over the floor or
upwards. Think of them as boomerangs, they will return in a curve. So
if she throws one high, it will return low and the other way around.
She'll do this 2 times.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand either on the far left or far right side of the screen. Look
carefully at the staff she's going to throw at you, because it rotates
next to her for a split second, you can see if she's going to throw it
high or low. If it's low, jump over it and get back to the far side of
screen. If it's high, go stand as close to her as you can, then jump
over it as it returns.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Floating Aura & Scythe Swing (combo attack):
(Expert)
Pandora will appear in one of the top corners of the screen and will
start moving to the other side of the room and back while floating
down. Meanwhile Prometheus will fall down in the other corner and will
dash at you with his Scythe pointed forward. Eventually he'll do an
upward Scythe Swing and both move outside of the screen.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
It may look intimidating but it's not that difficult. As soon as you
see Pandora appear in one of the top corners, quickly dash under her
or at least to the middle of the screen. DON'T stand on the opposite
side or Prometheus will fhit you from above. When Prometheus hits the
ground and starts dashing towards you, shoot him once and he'll be
stunned for a short while. Now quickly dash jump over him and get ready
to jump again because Pandora will come from behind.
(Maniac)
This is much harder. When you shoot Prometheus he will only be stunned
for a split milisecond. As soon as he gets hit from your shot you
should already be jumping over him. Your timing really needs to be
perfect.
That's the hard way, now for the easy way. As soon as you see Pandora
appear in one of the top corners, transform into Model H and stand in
the middle of the screen. When Prometheus hits the floor and starts
dashing towards you, do an upward air dash with Model H to avoid
Prometheus, then press your jump button and slowly float down. Pandora
won't hit you because she will already be under you.
---
* Elemental Combo (combo attack):
(Expert)
Remember Pandora's head from ZX? That she can remove the 2 sides of her
head to attack? Well she's at it again. She'll appear in the center of
the screen and detach those 2 parts from her head, one will move to the
left side of the screen, the other to the right. Now look at her body's
color. If she's blue her head parts will shoot ice shurikens, if she's
yellow they will shoot tiny electric snakes that home in on you.
Pandora will disappear but Prometheus will appear right above you and
crash into the floor. When he hits the floor, 4 red flames will appear.
(Maniac)
In Maniac mode, Pandora can switch colors during the attack, which
means she can switch between her ice and electric attack.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
The ice shurikens are easy since you can destroy them. Just shoot the
ice and you won't get hit. The electric snake thingies can't be
destroyed unfortunatly and they also home in on you so they're really
annoying. Dash under one electric snake, when that one is gone dash
back and under the one that's chasing you. You might need to do that
a couple of times. You'll have to improvise here since their movement
is kinda random and also depends on your position. After Pandora
disappears, as soon as you even catch a glipse of Prometheus above
you, quickly dash far away from him, then after he hit the floor and
he's gone, quickly dash back to the place where he hit the floor. That
way you'll dodge Prometheus himself and dash back under the flames
before they hit the floor.
(Maniac)
This is pretty much the same but you have to be prepared to switch
strategy as soon as Pandora switches color. Shoot while you're dashing
under her electricy to avoid being hit by ice shurikens.
---
* Spikes + Element Circle (combo attack):
(Expert)
Prometheus will appear in the middle of the screen with his cape stuck
in the ground. Spikes will start appearing on the opposite side of the
screen as you 1 by 1. When they reach the other side of the screen,
the spikes will return from there. Then Pandora will appear and remove
her 2 headparts again. They will start rotating and one will eventually
move in your direction.
(Maniac)
In Expert mode, the spikes always start on the opposite side of the
screen as you. Not in Maniac mode, it doesn't matter where you are,
the spikes can come from either left or right. Also Pandora appears
very shortly after Prometheus, so her headparts are already rotating
around the screen while Prometheus is still doing his spike attack.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
You can quickly guess the distance and where a spike will appear.
As soon as a spike appears next to you, dashjump over it. Then get
ready to do the same thing again when they return. As for Pandora's
attack, stand either on the left or right side of the screen, if one
of her headparts moves towards you just jump over it.
(Maniac)
This is much harder. As soon as you see Prometheus start this attack,
stand as close to him as you can so no matter where the spikes come
from, you have the time to avoid them. It's pretty hard to give a
method to avoid Pandora's headparts while dodging the spikes since
it depends on where you stand. The safest place for those are the far
side of the screen, but that's the most dangerous position for the
spikes. I have yet to find a method to dodge this attack on Maniac with
zero risk of being hit. So if you do, please let me know.
Strategy:
---------
Ah yes, THE battle that most people were waiting for since ZX. You knew
they'd be back for more and boy are you getting it. In my previous FAQ
I called this battle the tag team match. Not this time, in ZX they
never really attacked you together, one attacked you, disappeared, then
the other attacked you, in ZX Advent they actually team up on you with
several powerful combo attacks.
In the beginning of the battle, they will most likely only use 3
attacks. The 2 Fire Pillar attacks and Pandora's little staff game.
I suggest Model A for this battle because the Homing Shot can damage
Pandora even while she is protected by her staffs rotating around her.
As soon as she appears I like to shoot a charged shot, then constantly
use the Homing Shot on her, after a while she'll even stop her attack.
For the Fire Pillar attack just shoot like crazy to push it back. On
Maniac mode this can be a pain, especially if you're playing with Ashe
since her shots are slower. You can quickly switch into Model P and
throw some shurikens, that will make things a LOT easier.
After they've lost some health, they will start using the other attacks
as well. The Aura & Scythe attack can be tricky to dodge in Maniac so
the Model H move I suggested earlier, this greatly reduces the risk of
getting hit. Dash like mad to avoid her electric snake thingies and
shoot some buster shots to destroy incoming ice shurikens. The biggest
problem will most likely be the spikes, you have to time you jump
perfectly or you'll get hit. You can also use Model H here to do an
upward air dash but this won't work in Maniac mode since Pandora's
headparts will be rotating above you.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
Just do the same as described above. Don't be afraid to use a subtank
if you really have to.

7.1 Dragon Mode Albert [dma]
Difficulty: Medium
No. of lifebars: none
Recommended form: Model P, Model F
Elemental weakness: none
Resisted element: none
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Left head - Purple laser: (mode 1)
(Expert)
The left head will shoot a laser towards the floor, after that some
rubble will come out of the floor.
(Maniac)
The laser is faster and there's less space between the rubble.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
As soon as you see this attack, dash to the left. You see those pillars
in the back? Dash to the one on the far left of the screen and stand on
the right side of it, when the laser comes jump over it. Don't worry
about the rubble, it won't hit you on that spot.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Right head - Fireballs: (mode 1)
(Expert)
The right head will shoot several fireballs that will hit the ground
and create a large flame.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Look very closely to the background, you can see where the flames will
land. Just stand between 2 flames.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Top head - Horn attack: (mode 1)
(Expert)
The top head will move forward and stretch it's long neck. Now it will
put his horn on the ground and slide back.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Shoot at the horn until he tilts the head up. The horn is now off the
ground, quickly dash under it.
(Maniac)
It takes more shots to push back the horn.
---
* Black Hole White Hole: (mode 1)
(Expert)
He'll create a black hole in front of his belly and a white hole at the
top left corner of the screen. The top head will shoot 4 black shots
forward, but they are sucked in by the black hole so they return in a U
shape. Once they are sucked up by the black hole, they will come out of
the white hole. If you get sucked up by the black hole, you will get
damaged and come out of the white hole as well.
(Maniac)
He shoots 5 shots instead of 4. Also his shots have a shorter range so
you have less space to dodge.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Constantly dash to the left to avoid getting sucked into the black hole
yourself. Jump over the 4 black shots then keep dashing left. When you
see an opening between the black shots coming from the white hole,
jump through it and keep dashing left.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert but now you have to jump over 5 shots.
---
* Energy + Missiles: (mode 2)
(Expert)
The 3 heads will appear at the top of the screen pointing in some
direction. They will then fire an energy shot towards that direction.
After that 3 missiles will appear in the necks and launch towards you.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand close to the belly, look closely what direction the heads are
pointing to, then prepare to jump over or dash under the shots coming
towards you. Then quickly dash to the left and either destroy the
incoming missiles or jump over them.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
Strategy:
---------
There we go, the final boss, and instead of a Rockman you get to fight
a dragon thing. The dragon has 3 heads, the one in the middle has a big
horn on it too. You can't damage these, the only part of him that can
be damaged is his "belly", the black thing.
In his first mode he has 4 attacks, each head has one and a fourth one.
The Purple laser attack may seem hard to dodge at first but once you
figure out where the blind spots are it's really easy. The Fireball
attack can be annoying but you should be fine if you look in the
background. The horn attack is easy to dodge and the black and white
hole shouldn't give you any problems either. If you've seen his moves
once you should be able to dodge them. After you've damaged his belly
enough, the heads will remove themselves from the body, the necks will
become missile launchers. Depending on the angle of the dragon heads
you may have some trouble avoiding the energy shots.
The belly doesn't flinch after you hit it, so here is where multiple
hit forms become interesting. Model F does more damage but is slower
and you can't shoot while dashing which you may need. Model P will
need more hits but he's faster. Either are fine, I prefer Model P
myself. Just shoot or throw shurikens like crazy between attacks.
He'll switch modes after about a minute or so, after that it takes
maybe 20 seconds if you keep hitting him.
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
Just do the same as described above. Don't be afraid to use a subtank
if you really have to.

7.2 Rockman Model V: Albert [rmv]
Difficulty: Medium
No. of lifebars: none
Recommended form: Model A, Model ZX, Model P, Chronoforce, Tesrat
Elemental weakness: none
Resisted element: none
Weakness: none
Attacks:
--------
* Spinning Blades: (shielded)
(Expert)
He'll remove 2 parts from his shield and they will roll over the floor
as spinning blades.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert but they spin faster.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
The hard way: dash under it when the blade is horizontal.
The easy way: transform into Chronoforce, the blades can't damage him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.

---
* Whirlwinds: (shielded)
(Expert)
He'll remove 4 parts from his shield and they will form 2 pillars of
wind. The pillars will 'shoot' a whirlwind from each one.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
The hard way: just stand in the middle and dash left and right to avoid
being drawn to the pillars. Dash when it shoots the whirlwinds.
The easy way: target both bottom shield parts with Model A's Homing Shot
and shoot. The pillars will disappear almost immediatly.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Homing Shot: (shielded)
(Expert)
This attack is almost identical to Model A's Homing Shot. He'll create
target cursors that will follow you around. One by one he will shoot
a purple plasma shot that will damage you for as long as it stays on
the screen. Near the end of the attack he'll use multiple cursors that
will stay on the screen, then he'll unleach all of his shots almost
identical to Model A's.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert but he fires a lot more cursors and shots.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Slowly walk left or right and let the cursors target right behind you.
That way he will use a lot of shots on a small area. If you're getting
close to the edge of the screen, do a high dashjump, he will shoot
in the air and by the time you land the shot that was behind you should
have faded away and you can slowly start walking in the other direction
again.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Tail Slide: (shielded)
(Expert)
You see that large fin thing that is sticking out on the bottom? He'll
try to slide that into you the same way he used the horn in the dragon
form. He will appear on one side of the screen and put his fin on the
ground. Then he'll slide all over the floor of the room then on the
other side of the screen he'll fly up again.
(Maniac)
The fin is lower when he flies up at the end.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Quickly dash to the other side of the screen and stand against the edge
of the screen.
(Maniac)
The fin is lower now, so even if you stand on the far side of the screen
he'll still hit you. So you have 2 choices. The hard way: wait until he
reaches you and then dash to decrease your height. The easy way:
decrease your height another way, transform into Tesrat and just stand
on the far side of the screen.
---
* Ice Dragons: (vulnerable)
(Expert)
He'll summon 2 dragon things with a body made of ice blocks. They will
move over the screen from top to bottom.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Don't shoot the ice, you'll destroy it and it will split up into 4 ice
shards that move in an X formation and is likely to damage you. Right
after the first dragon's tail passes you, dash through it.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Flame Towers: (vulnerable)
(Expert)
His shield parts will fall on top of him in a square shape. He'll throw
it on the ground and fire pillars will come out of the ground. You'll
fall and will be stunned for a short while.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand a little bit behind him and jump up. Even if you do get stunned,
if you stand behind him you'll be between 2 Fire Towers.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* V-Sword: (vulnerable)
(Expert)
His shield parts will fall on top of him in a triangle shape. He'll
create a sword with it and do a big slash.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand either far away from him or behind him. DON'T stand in front of
him or under him.
(Maniac)
Same as Expert.
---
* Ring Lasers: (vulnerable)
(Expert)
He'll appear in the center of the screen. His shield parts will appear
next to him in 2 ring shapes, one left and one right. From there he
will fire a laserbeam, one left one right that will move towards the
middle of the screen. It's comparable to the eye laser attack of the
miniboss in the very first stage.
(Maniac)
The beams move faster.
How to Dodge:
(Expert)
Stand in the middle and shoot at the laserbeam to push it back.
(Maniac)
You'll need a lot more shots to push it back. If you're having trouble
with this, transform in Model P and throw shurikens like crazy. If you
happen to stand on the far side of the screen, left or right and you
think you don't have enough time to dash to the middle, transform in
Model H and do an upward airdash right before he shoots.
Strategy:
---------
There we go, we've got our Rockman. But he's kind of a coward, he hides
behind orange parts that act as a shield. While those are around him
you can't damage him and you can't deplete his energy. You need to
damage those shield parts until he drops them and becomes unshielded.
Beware though, after a while he'll just create his shield again.
The form you should use for this battle is Model A. Every shield part
is a target and you need to damage them all, so that's why you need to
use the Homing Shot. Target as many shield parts as you can and blast
them. Don't waste up all your Livemetal energy though, make sure you
always have enough for 1 Homing Shot (2 bars). His shielded mode is
really easy, you can avoid getting hit from almost every attack
without almost any effort. For the Spinning Blades, transform in
Chronoforce and wait until they've moved over you, no effort. The
Whirlwinds, shoot the bottom 2 shield parts with the Homing Shot,
almost no effort. For his Tail Slide, just stand on the far side of
the screen as Tesrat, no effort. The only attack that could damage
you is his Homing Shot and even that is pretty easy to avoid.
After you've blown his shield away he'll use some more challenging
attacks. As for you, transform into Model ZX and start slashing him
as much as you can. The rolling slash works well, if he's low do the
triple slash. The Ring Lasers and Ice Dragons are easy, the real
problem is the other 2 attacks. They start in the exactly the same
way and to dodge correctly you have to know what attack you have to
dodge. Look at the shape of those shield parts and try to get behind
him. Both attacks have a safe spot behind him, if you really can't
get there, improvise. Good Luck
Boss survival strategy (all forms):
-----------------------------------
Just do the same as described above, you're almost there.
