This guide is designed to be used to aide in finishing the Challenges for the
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 - Expansion 1. Now of
course the ways I describe to win the challenges may very well not be the only
possible way to win. This Guide is written based on the XBLA version so I
CAN NOT guarentee accuracy for the PS3 or Steam versions. I will update to
include any future Expansions or updates as they come out and with the best
speed I can muster.

EXPANSION 1:

1. Behold the Power of Destruction

i. Wait for the scheme to flip, when it asks you which
planeswalker to target choose Ajani Goldmane.

ii. After the scheme resolves select continue, skipping your
first main phase.

iii. With your Flameblast Dragon attack Ajani, and with your
Nemesis of Reason attack Liliana.

iv. Select Continue.

v. Choose Players, then Sarkhan Vol.

vi. Pay the conditional cost, pay X with five out of your
seven lands.

vii. During your second Main phase cast Sign in Blood
targeting Liliana.

2. Death on the Wind

i. First stop the timer.

ii. Cast Plummet targeting Jace’s Air Elemental.

iii. Stop the timer again.

iv. Activate Ral’s: Sailmonger’s ability targeting Sailmonger
(2: Target creature gains flying until end of turn
any player may activate this ability.)

v. Activate your Captive Flame’s ability targeting Jace’s
Wind Drake, you only need to pay one
but the amount does not matter otherwise.

vi. Continue. (Jace will attack Ral with his Wind Drake and
Phantom Warrior, killing both the Wind Drake and Rat’s Sailmonger but
leaving Ral with two life.)

vii. Select continue to end your Main Phase, Ral will then
play his Rorix Bladewing.

viii. Activate your Captive Flame’s ability targeting
Rorix Bladewing, pay three.

3. Introductions are in Order

i. Wait for the scheme to flip, choose to search your library
for a creature card.

ii. Pick Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

iii. Cast Emrakul.

iv. Attack Nissa Revane with Emrakul.

v. Again when the scheme flips choose to search your library
for a creature.

vi. This time pick Conquering Manticore.

vii. Play your land, and cast both Conquering Manticore and
Hellkite Charger.

viii. Pick Platinum Emperion to gain control of, courtesy of
Conquering Manticore.

ix. Attack Nissa with Conquering Manticore and
Hellkite Charger, Attack Tezzeret With Emrakul and Platinum Emperion.

x. Pay the coniditional Cost.

xi. Now attack Tezzeret with Emrakul, Attack Liliana with
Hellkite Charger and Conquering Manticore.

4. Feed the Machine

i. Wait for the scheme to flip and pick Nissa.

ii. Play Hedron Crab.

iii. Play your Island pick Jace to mill three.

iv. Cast Chain Reaction.

v. Cast Vision Skeins.

vi. Cast Sparkmage Apprentice and choose creatures
targeting Nissa’s Disciple of the Vault.

vii. Cast Biorhythm.
