Long Live the Queen FAQ

9/19/14: v1.0 — Initial upload to GameFAQs. It includes three runs. I plan to
update with more.
4/7/16: v1.1 — Wow, it's been 18 months since I've looked at this. Sorry for
letting you guys down. There's apparently been an update to the game in the
interim, so I'm starting here by fixing my runs to reflect those changes. I've
also added my contact info.
4/21/16: v1.2 — Added a new run! All the deaths should now be complete. Also
realized I forgot to include one of the choices in the (B/W)itch Queen run, so
I fixed that.
5/7/16: v1.3 — Added what your improved stats and mood should be after each
week. Hopefully this will make things easier to follow along.
5/19/16: v1.4 — Added another run.
5/21/16: v1.5 — Thanks to Sir Raunaldi for catching a couple mistakes in the
fifth ("Shake it!") run. I've made the necessary corrections.
5/29/16: v1.6 — Realized that I could very easily modify the first run to get
Alice instead of Brin and that Brin doesn't get you any achievements or
anything. So I changed the first run. I also modified the fifth run (“Shake
it!”) to include a peasant revolt. Lastly, I added a sixth run: “The Chicken
Run”.
4/10/18: vFINAL — I actually made several improvements to this walkthrough over
the past two years that I *thought* had gotten uploaded, but to my dismay, they
never went live. Ah, well. This walkthrough is now complete! All Checklist
items are complete as of this version. There are a few checks here and there
that may never have been completed, but I've done everything I'm going to do
with this game. I hope you loved this game as much as I did!
6/7/18: Thanks to Susan and Angel/Syn for pointing out a couple mistakes. I've
made the corrections and reuploaded to GameFaqs. I've also given permission for
this walkthrough to go up on Neoseeker.
8/28/19:Thanks to Leo for pointing out a mistake. Made the correction and
reuploaded.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH A RUN, first check to make sure you have the
right Outfit on. If you're still having trouble, please send me an email.
alteregoivy at gmail dot com. I can help you try to figure out what's going
wrong. I've included what your improved stats and mood should be after each
week to hopefully make the FAQ clearer.

Introduction:

Welcome to my Long Live the Queen FAQ! I'm Ivy, and I've put together this FAQ
to help people get all the achievements they want out of Long Live the Queen.
Or maybe just to show off. I've made this FAQ so that you don't need to do any
work; just follow my instructions exactly, and you will be able to get all the
deaths, all the achievements, and all the epilogue panes. At least, you will
when I finish this thing. Use this FAQ if you're really just interested in
being given the answers. I haven't explained any of the mechanics for you to
figure theses routes out for yourself; there is already an excellent wiki for
that purpose at longlivethequeen.wikia.com and that's what I've used to come up
with these walkthroughs.

So far, I have seven walkthroughs.

Directions for use:

First of all, use the Table of Contents to navigate between runs by pressing
Ctrl+F and inputting the number of the run you want. Although fairly self
explanatory (I think), the format of this walkthrough is as follows. For any
given week, I will list that week's classes that you should take as [Morning
Class]/[Afternoon Class]. Be sure to make the first class listed the morning
class and the second class listed as the afternoon class, because the order
often does matter. Listed on the next line is the weekend activity you should
do. If there are lines in between, they are the choices you should make during
the week's events.

In order to make sure your run is following the same course as my run, I've
included what your improved stats and mood should be after the week is over.
You can check this by looking at your Skills screen at the beginning of the
following week. A stat with an asterisk (*) next to the number means that you
should be wearing an outfit that improves that stat.

SAVE OFTEN AND IN SEPARATE SLOTS! I cannot stress this enough, because it can
be very easy to get confused. Also be sure to label your saves well, because it
can also be very easy to get those confused.

PLEASE NOTE: If you're having trouble with a run, first make sure you have the
right Outfit equipped. Also note that Foreign Affairs is part of the History
skills, while Foreign Intelligence is part of Intrigue.

Got it? Okay, let’s get busy becoming queen and die several times in the
attempt!

*~*~*=Table of Contents=*~*~*

[01] "Romancing Alice and/or Brin," in which we woo a commoner (at least, as of
version 1.6 of this FAQ we do), take an arrow to the... gut, get poisoned, are
clubbed to death, and fend off invaders without the help of magic. This run can
be used for Alice or Brin but diverges early at Week 18, so it's up to you
whether or not you want to go for Brin.

[02] "Romancing Briony," in which we bond with a school friend, die two
different ways from the same assassin, are put into a vegetative state, blasted
by magic, eaten by monsters, learn a terrible family secret, and go on the
forest adventure. Whew!

[03] "The (B/W)itch Queen," in which we become a terrible, terrible person. We
order a few executions, lose a vote of no confidence, hire a spy, blow
ourselves up with magic, turn a friend into a virgin sacrifice, become an evil
minion, and (in a possible act of redemption) save the day with the power of
music.

[04] "(B/W)itch Redux," in which we order an assassination, make a foreign duke
our subject, drown at sea, have our life sucked away by magic, and make
Charlotte into a Lumen.

[05] "Shake It!" in which we imprison our uncle, willingly recruit an advisor,
forge a military alliance, and trigger an earthquake. And, as of version 1.6 of
this FAQ, we also face a peasant revolt.

[06] “The Chicken Run,” in which we pay a reward for killing a fugitive, kiss
our fiancé, face a civil war, hold a hostage for ransom in a new and
interesting way, find out who killed our mother, and poison a chicken.

[07] “Miscellany Run,” in which we speak to Adair’s father at the gala, cause a
couple to divorce, discover a magical artifact, and face a rebellion in Merva.

[08] “The Crazy Cat Lady Run,” in which we are blessed by the favor of cats and
turn Briony into a magical girl. This run completes the Achievements and
Epilogue Panes!

[09] “Romancing/Employing Evrard,” a bonus run for the specific purpose of
either marrying the commoner Evrard or hiring him as a royal taste tester.

[01] *~*~*=Romancing Alice and/or Brin=*~*~*

Note: Romancing Alice nets us an Achievement while romancing Brin does not. You
could do this run as written for Alice alone and not miss any Achievements or
Epilogue panes. I find it worth it to get Brin's ending text, if only because I
have a particular fondness for same-sex relationships. It's up to you.

gut. Then reload and do this week right.

Week 35: World History/Decoration
Anything
After this week: World History=91.7, Decoration=11.4, Mood=Varies

Week 36: Decoration/Decoration
Choose: (This choice only matters if you are trying to woo Alice. In that case,
you must choose to either "Randsom the rich, execute the poor" or "Execute them
all". If you do not choose one of those two, instead of Alice's text at the
end, you'll get an Epilogue in which Elodie marries a nameless foreign duke for
the sake of the kingdom. If you chose to accept Brin's flowers instead of
giving them to Alice in Week 18, then your choice here only matters insofar as
flavor text is concerned.)
Anything
After this week: Decoration=35.4, Mood=Varies

Note: From here on out, it doesn't matter what you study or where your mood
goes. There is flavor text at the end depending on your highest stat category;
it would be fairly easy to get the Conversation, Military, or Athletics flavor
text from here.

Week 37: Anything/Anything
Anything

Week 38: Anything/Anything
Choose: (Any, but choosing "A small feast" will get you another Epilogue pane.)
Anything

Note: You can save here for a few different Epilogues regarding Elodie's
marriage. If you opt to marry Kevan despite besting him in a duel, his Epilogue
pane is really quite entertaining. Also entertaining is if you opt to marry
Banion, as the pane regarding your marriage to him is different under the
circumstances of this playthrough than under other circumstances. Finally, for
the one that this walkthrough is intended (Alice or Brin), choose to marry no
one.

Week 39: Anything/Anything
Choose: No one

family secret?" Achievement! Okay, load up your save from Week 28.

It's possible to get yet another death here: simply neglect to study Running.

death, so don't do it unless you just want to see what Elodie says.

Week 37: Decoration/Decoration
Choose: Try to seal it
Attend Court
After this week: Decoration=36.3, Mood=Cheerful

Note: From here, it doesn't really matter what you study. or what you do on the
weekends. With 100 in all the Lumen skills, you're almost certainly going to
get the Lumen flavor text at the end.

Week 38: Anything/Anything
Choose: (Doesn't seem to matter one way or the other on this choice.)
Visit Charlotte, Lady Merva

Note: You can get a new Epilogue pane by choosing to marry Kevan. Also, while
choosing "No one" doesn't provide a new Epilogue pane, I found the text for
that one entertaining.

Outfit to Boarding School Uniform, and study anything other than Lumen. You
will blow yourself up in the naval battle. Then reload and do it with the
Magical Girl Outfit still on. You will win the naval battle, and a kraken will
rise. Again. This time, you will have the option to sacrifice Charlotte, so do
it. Finish out the rest of the playthrough building up any skills you like. The
epilogue flavor text will change based on your highest skill group, though the
last bit will always be about your cruelty. One last funny thing: you can study
Meditation to get a scene with Julianna on the weekend, and if you choose "Keep
pushing," the text treats Charlotte as if she were still alive. It's a scene
that's supposed to happen much, much earlier.

At any rate, load up your save from Week 33.

Week 34: Flattery/Court Manners
Choose: Any
Choose: Stay in the capital
Hunting
After this week: Flattery=31.2, Court Manners=31.2, Mood=Willful

Week 35: Public Speaking/Public Speaking
Anything
After this week: Public Speaking=84.7, Mood=Varies

--Change Outfit to Catsuit--

Note: Save here for lots of things!

1. Choose "Run away" when prompted. Yet another way to get to the "power
slipped from Elodie's grasp" ending.
2. Choose "Accept his terms" when prompted. You will be blasted by magic and
die. New death!
3. Choose "Offer to give him your power" and then "Do it" when prompted. This
is, I think, one of the funniest Epilogues. It's a new pane.
4. Yet another way the reins of power can slip from Elodie's grasp: "refuse
outright." You will later have a choice to make, but the outcome is essentially
the same either way. An interesting turn of events, though.

Okay, back to what I actually want to do here.

Week 36: Anything/Anything
Choose: Meet with diplomats
Choose: Sing to him
Anything

(HAH! Saved the day with the power of MUSIC!! Neener neener!)

Again, from here on out, your choices don’t really matter, so just study
whatever skills you would like for flavor text.

LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!
