Kakyuusei 2 by the wonderful folks of Elf Corporation.
I'm not trying to be fluent in Japanese. I'm just trying to learn and
understand it more. Since I am very new at this I do not Guarantee a 100 %
accurate translation so I welcome any comments and suggestions that you feel
would help improve this File. I'm doing translations for both the fun of it, to
hopefully improve my Japanese more and to give you a better understanding on
what's going on and what's being said during the scenarios I translate. Of
course its also better to own the game and enjoy the experience while playing
as well instead of just reading. Please feel free to send your comments or
suggestions to
[email protected].
Just so you know, you can name the main character any name you want. But I
prefer to stick with his default name. I didn't know exactly what his name was
before but thanks to a very reliable source I found out that the default is
Oriya Rouma.
Enjoy!!

About Honorific titles
---------------------------------------------------
-San:>As some of you guys may know(Especially if you watch a lot of Subbed
Anime), this is the most common honorific you will hear. -San is the American
equivalent to Mr.,miss,ms.,or Mrs. It can be used in any situation where
politeness is required. To put it simply, This is THE honorific to use if you
want to address others in a formal polite way.
-Sama:>This honorific is the more formal version of "-San", It's used to
confer great respect for those with much higher rank than themselves. Example:
This would be used for a butler or slave(^_^;) to address his master. It can
also be used in commercial and business settings to address and refer to
customers. If I were to translate this, it would be the American equivalent to
"Lord-" or "Master-"
-Kun:>This Honorific can be used in three different ways. It can be used from
girls as an informal and intimate honorific mostly used for males. It is also
used by superiors in addressing inferiors, by males of roughly the same age
and status in addressing each other, and in addressing male children. In a
business settings young women may also be addressed as kun by older male
superiors. Which is why Ohgami always addresses Sakura,Sumire,Orihime, etc with
-kun.
-Dono:>This is a old honorific, like Samurai Era old(You will hear this
honorific a lot if you check out Rurouni Kenshin.) Although it may not be used
as much(If at all) in daily conversation,it's still used in some types of
written business correspondence. It works the same as -Sama.
-Chan:>This is the informal, intimate, diminutive equivalent of san, used to
refer to children and female family members, pets, close friends and lovers.
Chan is also used for adults as a title of affection. It gives a sense of
childish cuteness thus making It very babyish, which is why some people are
less forgiving with being address with it than others.
-Senpai:>is used to refer to or address teachers, doctors, lawyers,
politicians, or other authority figures. It is also used to show respect to
someone who has achieved a certain level of mastery in an art form or some
other skill. It's most often used In school settings, where underclassmen refer
to their upperclassmen as "Senpai". This may be a bad example but: Say you're
a new employee at your job, everyone there is your Senpai because most of the
people at your job have more experience then you do. To put it simply, in the
workplace, it's used when a newer employee addresses an employee who has
seniority(I.e. more experience)in the company.
-Kohai:>Simply the opposite of Senpai. Used toward underclassmen in school or
newcomers in the workplace.

Updates:
Ver 1.1 -10.03.04
-Completed up until the Player runs into girl with glasses. (I just thought I'd
get started on this FAQ as well, Seeing as how I will most likely get to work
on making translations for the Kakyuusei 2 game once I've completed my current
FAQ. So until then this is just a small taste of what's coming ahead.)-
Ver 1.5 -10.13.04
-Completed up until the Player got to the gym.-
Ver 2.0 -10.17.04
-Completed up until after the School closes.-
Ver 2.5 -10.18.04
-Just about completed the Prologue.
Ver 3.0 -10.21.04
-Fixed up the guide a little bit so hopefully you won't see those annoying
symbols if you don't have the encoding switched to S-JIS. Also made a few
corrections to some of the spelling errors. If you still see some of those weird
symbols just E-mail me and tell me where you saw them. Now I just need some of
the text that are still in Japanese translated.
Ver 3.5 -10.26.04
-Added the Main characters name into the guide and checked the guide for any
errors. I just need one more thing in the guide translated and I can consider
this guide complete.
Ver 4.5 -10.27.04
-Came up with a decent translation for that one problem. Now I can consider
this guide complete. Now of course I can always still update it if I feel the
need to or if anyone has any ideas on what I can do to improve it or if their
are any errors and better translations I can use. Just remember to E-mail me
your suggestions. Well it's been fun(And kind of easy to tell you the truth.)
and I hope this guide helped you guys in any way. Well then guys I'll see you
again in the next translation guide I work on.
Ver 5.5 -11.03.04
-Just when I thought I was finished I decided to update until the point where
you actually get to be able to move your character for the first time. I just
got started on translating the rest so I don't have much translated right now
but it's a start better then nothing. I just hope I won't get distracted from
this too much when something big like Halo 2 comes out.
Ver 6.0 11.10.04
-I finished my guide up until the point where you actually get to move your
character and start playing the game. All that's left is for me to do a grammar
check and translation check. But other then those I think I can officially say
this Guide is complete. Thanks to everyone who came to check this out and I
hope this helped you guys out in anyway. I'll see you guys on the next
translation or guide I make. And I'm sure I'll also be seeing some of you on
Halo 2(My Tag is:EL KIMO) when I get it. ^_^
Ver 6.5 11.26.04
-Managed to get help with those two translations I couldn't figure out on my
own. Now the guide is really complete. See you next time.
Ver 7.0 11.30.04
-Noticed the guide still had a little symbol problem. So I cleaned up the guide
a bit so they should all be gone.
Ver 7.1 08.19.05
- No big update. Just a grammer correction. I changed all of the incorrect
"your"'s to the correct "You're". You wasn't expecting anything big now were
you? I mean I don't think there's anything else I can add. Of course If you
guys think I should add something just E-mail me at
[email protected]
and I'll see what I can do.
Ver 7.5 05.21.06
- Added information on honorific titles, made a few corrections to the guide,
Spaced out some lines, and I also did a grammer check.
Ver 7.6 04.28.07
- As a special service added the Japanese dialogue along with my
English translations.

{Rouma}:Eh?
{Fumi}: You're here for the poster aren't you?
{Rouma}: Oh It's Fumi-san. Don't tell me you noticed?
{Fumi}: Well yeah. As librarian, I've been entrusted with control of the
library. What's more, I have to look over any bulletins.
{Rouma}: Then you should have told me sooner.
{Fumi}: Hold on now aren't you the one who just dashed out the room as soon as
you hung up the poster?
{Rouma}: Eh? Is that right?
{Fumi}: When you saw Shidou-sensei walk in you just left the room just like
that.
{Rouma}: Hah ha ha ha. Oh yeah.
{Fumi}: Here's the poster. I tore it down right away so the executives
shouldn't have seen it yet.
{Rouma}: Thank you Fumi-san.
{Fumi}: No problem. Next time come and borrow a book.

{Rouma}: Huh? Geh. Na- Nanase.....
{Nanase}: I don't remember authorizing a member invitation poster.
{Rouma}: My- My fault. I kind of made a mistake.
{Nanase}: I take It you must have ignored Saimon-san's warnings and just went
on by yourself.
{Nanase}: Well No matter. Your mistakes are not anything to turn my eyes over
for.
If you tear this down before the end of the day I'll overlook this. So hurry
up and clean that up.
{Rouma}: I- I got it.
{Nanase}: Now here you go. But once I think about it Saimon-san's so
unfortunate to have a childhood friend such as yourself.
Even though Amadou-san's a childhood friend as well he just doesn't compare to
you.
{Rouma}: ....
Grrrr......Damn that Nanase. Just because you're the head of the executives
group doesn't give you the right to act all high and mighty.
Someday I will get you to fall in love with me and I'll stroke those pretty
legs of yours to my hearts content.
{Rouma}: Oh Nozomu.
{Nozomu}: Hey Rouma.
{Rouma}: This isn't like you. You're still in school, aren't you going to go
fishing today?
{Nozomu}: I am, I just had to take care of something.
{Rouma}: Hmmm.
{Guy from lunchroom}: Well then, Sunafuki-kun. I'll see you then.
{Nozomu}: All right. I'm counting on you for what we talked about.
{Rouma}: And what would that be?
{Nozomu}: Ha ha ha I could explain it but, I don't think it would be a big deal
or anything if I did.
{Rouma}: Let me guess. Fishing?
{Nozomu}: You guessed right.
{Rouma}: So that guy from the lunch room is....
{Nozomu}: My fishing buddy.
{Rouma}: Oh yeah? Is that right?
{Nozomu}: How about it want to come with? Since we're childhood chums we
should go together once in a while.
{Rouma}: I normally wouldn't mind but, Right now I have something I have to do
so maybe next time.
{Nozomu}: Hmm. All right till next time then.
{Rouma}: Yeah.
....... Now then I should tear this down and I should be on my way too.
Just rip this right here and......there. Okay lets move on.
Well well. Everyone in the Basketball team are really training their butts
off.
These guys are pretty popular and because of their Popularity I decided to
hang a poster here.....
{Rouma}: Hmm? That voice it could only be...The truly logical road working
Head of the Basketball club. In short the gigolo basketman Amadou?
{Amadou}: Don't give me weird nicknames!
{Rouma}: Ha ha ha. Don't worry It's the connection between childhood buddies,
so I'll call you that from now on.
{Amadou}: Didn't I just say not to call me that?
{Rouma}: Yeah yeah. So what do you want Amadou?
{Amadou}: Ah yeah. The truth is I have to apologize to you.
{Rouma}: For what? About the Timer video tape I asked for Last week? If that's
the case then its cool. Nozomu Video taped it.
{Amadrou}: That's not it, I picked up your wallet.
{Rouma}: Wallet? Well in that case its right.....Wait huh?
{Amadou}: Before I went to my club activities, I picked it up at the lunch
room. You must have dropped it this morning.
{Rouma}: I see. Well it's not like there was alot of money in it anyway.
Even if you did lose it it wouldn't have been a problem.....Wait why are you
apologizing? Didn't you pick it up?
{Amadou}: .....Sorry. I lost it.
{Rouma}: Eh?
{Amadrou}: While its true that I did pick it up but when I was changing for
club activities I lost it.
So I thought I must have dropped it somewhere in school.
{Rouma}: O- oh c'mon...
{Amadou}: I'm really sorry. Was there anything of importance in it?
{Rouma}: There wasn't really anything important in it but perhaps just a
membership card. If I lost that it would turn into a problem.
{Amadou}: The membership card to Hot shot? Where Tamaki-chan works?
{Rouma}: Yeah.
{Amadou}: Well, I guess there's no other option but to re-issue it then.
{Rouma}: Yea I guess.
{Amadou}: Anyway, I'm really sorry. I'll pay you back by treating you to lunch
sometime.
{Rouma}: Yeah looking forward to that.
{Rouma}: .......
Now then, I guess all that's left to do is to just tear down this last poster
and report to the club house where Tama's waiting. Just tear this like so
and....there.
{Rouma}: Whew mission complete.
{Tamaki}: Good job.
{Rouma}: Thanks.
{Tamaki}: Now then Give me the posters you tore down. I'll go get the stamp of
approval up until I get to the executives club.
{Rouma}: .....Yeah about that, Tama.
{Tamaki}: Hmm?
{Rouma}: Nanase spotted me.
{Tamaki}: Takato-san did?
{Rouma}: Yeah.
{Tamaki}: Well if thats the case then I already know. I showed my face at the
Executives club a while ago.
{Rouma}: Wha?
{Tamaki}: She sympathized with me. Saying "You sure got your hands full."
{Rouma}: Haa?
{Tamaki}: She even treated me to black tea. The black tea she made was really
delicious.
{Rouma}: No- now c'mon now....What in the world were you doing while I was
running all over the place?
{Tamaki}: Ah ha ha. It can't be helped. You reap what you sow, you have to
clean the mess that you made yourself.
{Rouma}: G- Grrrmmm....Hmm? By the way Tama.
{Tamaki}: What?
{Rouma}: Don't you have a job to go to? Aren't you pretty late?
{Tamaki}: Ah No I'm fine. I had plans to hang up some posters so I called off.
{Rouma}: I see.
{Tamaki}: Now then, hand over the posters. Once I get the stamp of approval,
I'll re-hang them all.
{Rouma}: Re-hang them? Don't you want me to help?
{Tamaki}: Don't worry about it. This is something the Manager should do anyway.
The head of the club should get with the training.
{Rouma}: Roger.
{Tamaki}: Ah ha ha. Now then I'll be going now.
{Rouma}: .......
Now then Tama's handling the posters so I guess I should brace myself for some
training.
