First, I don't have a real sister, and I'm not a Lolicom. I got this
game for a selective audio (vocal) reason...
Anyway.
The official HP of the game at

has a playable demo, the theme song "Imouto nandamon!"
as a MP3 file, patches for both the game and (-_-;) the
playable demo, and the heroines' voice samples.
*SPOILER ALERT*
The game is on two CDs. It needs both CDs to install.
Except the OP anime as an AVI file (85 MB), the CDs don't seem to have
any omake stuph.
The game has two install sizes: full (1+ GB) and
standard (550+ MB).
I chose standard, and it occupies 552+ MB.
The main menu has four choices: Start, Continue,
Option, and Exit.
In the Option screen, the basic options are: volumes
(BGM, sound effects, and voices), text display speed, screen
change speed, automatic forward wait time, and screen size
(window or full).
The default screen size is full, so I changed it to
window.
In the Option screen, the advanced options are:
display, font, graphic, sound volume, input, and sound
speed. The "graphic" advanced options include: und_rhair and
effect anime...
The game also has an OVA series by Green Bunny.

The heroines are voiced. The male chara aren't.
The game has 32 save game slots. The player can't rename the slots.
The player can't rename the protagonist's name, Yoshizumi Hisashi.
During a conversation, up to two chara are on-screen.
A chara's expression changes and mouth moves when she speaks, but her
eyes don't regularly blink.
I presume the effect anime are the question mark, spark, or sweat that
momentarily appears besides the chara's head.
At a multiple choice node, after the player chooses a choice and
reaches the next node, when the player reloads the game to the previous
node, the choice that the player chose now has a pink background colour,
instead of the default blue-grey.
The story:
One night, while Hisashi's sleeping, he thinks he sees a light and
hears a crash on the roof and girls' voices, but the girls' voices become
cats' meow, and he sleeps again.
Next morning, he tells his nameless father about it.
When he exits his home, he bumps into two heroines:
- A girl who has blond hair in twin tails.
- A woman who has long blond hair.
At school, Sakakino Seiryou Gakuen, today is when the girls change into
spring-summer uniforms.
The protagonist and his two male classmates discuss aliens that come to
Earth on UFOs and lurk amongst Humans. (IMO: Been there, done that, gotten
the T-shirt, and written the FAQ; because I played Hooligan by FrontWing.)
The baka trio then bombed an English test.
After the test, they spoke with two heroines:
- Yoshihara Ikuko, who has short (ear length) brown hair, with red
hairband.
- Kurahashi Miori, who has semi-long red hair, with small yellow bows.
After school, Hisashi goes home. In the toilet, he again bumps into the
girl who has blond hair in twin tails (one event CG with, eh, scatolo
theme).
When Hisashi exits the toilet, the player gets the first multiple
choice node, with two choices...
I installed this game, instead of Command and Conquer: Generals Zero
Hour or Dungeons and Dragons: The Temple of Elemental Evil (TOEE); because,
according to the gal game seiyuu database Seiyuusan Memorial at
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Knight/9882/gameplentyofprettysisters.html
in Imoiko, the heroine Kurahashi Miori's CV Ishibashi Tomoko is
reportedly Takahashi Chiaki's alias. Though I'm not absolutely certain about
the reliability of the data in this database, some of its data agree with
insiders' information I'd read elsewhere, such as the claim that the former
SG Girl (Sentimental Graffiti Girl) Suzuki Mariko is in the Eroge- titled
Sore ha maichiru sakura no you ni (Sorechiru) for Windows. Takahashi Chiaki
belongs to Arts Vision, and belonged to Aoni Pro (Aoni Production).

Later (2003.10.05):
Unlike other Eroge-, while the player's playing
Imoiko, Imoiko doesn't seem to have a CG review mode, where
the player can review the full-screen event CG that the game
has displayed.
Maybe the game unlocks such a CG review mode after the
player has cleared the game at least once.
Later (Wednesday, 2004.03.24):
After the player clears the game once, the main menu
has a new option: Otanoshimi.
The Otanoshimi sub-menu has four options: CG Mode,
Sound Mode, Kaisou Mode (Memory Mode, not Convert Mode),
and Menu ni modoru (Return to main menu).
The CG Mode sub-menu has 19 pages. Each page has 12 CG
slots: three rows X four columns.
The Sound Mode sub-menu has 22 tracks: two columns X
11 rows.
The Kaisou Mode sub-menu has three pages. Each page
has eight event slots: two rows X four columns.
(After 1st Play, I unlocked only Miori and three of
her events.)
This sub-menu also has a row of 11 SD portrait slots
that display the player has cleared which heroines'
endings.
Also, when the player begins a new game, the player can
rename the protagonist. The player can input the
protagonist's family name and personal name in kanji and
hiragana.
(I input Kasuga Kyousuke.)
Later (Thursday, 2004.04.01):
I avoid/dislike Eroge-/heroines with dark/sad
endings/stories, and during 2nd Play, I dreaded Akiho's
ending.
It's true that Akiho has a sad ending, but also a good
epilogue that overrules the sad ending.
Later (Sunday, 2004.04.18):
I thought I had an Area 88 TVA (TV anime) DVD in my DVD
drive and tried to play it with WinDVD. Instead, the disc is
the second Imoiko CD-ROM, and it has an one-minute long
warning message by Yuma's voice with a nekomusume accent
(nya) that explains the CD is a Windows game CD-ROM that, to
avoid damage, shouldn't be played in an audio CD player.
I don't know whether the other Imoiko CD-ROM also has
this warning message?
BTW, I knew DC (Dreamcast), PS (PlayStation), and SS
(Sega Saturn) game CDs often had a similar warning message,
and sometimes had a special warning message voiced by the CV
of that partciular game. For example, the St*Tail for SS
game CD had a screen saver for Windows, and a mini-drama
warning message, where Seira explained to Meimi, Asuka Jr,
and other St*Tail main chara that it was a game CD for the
SS.

reportedly shares almost the same route as Ikuko's, so I'll probably clear
Ikuko's ending also.

If the player chooses 6-2 or 6-3, despite a bit of different dialogue,
Hisashi shoots Mayuka, learns how to change the parameters in her brain-wash
gun, then shoots her again. He then shoots Seika and his father. (Yes, he's
gone over to the Dark Side now.) The game displays one Seika non-Ecchi CG
(cooking).
I chose 6-3.
7-1 Denpakei no hito?

If the player chooses 8-1, Hisashi shoots Mayuka and Seika again, to
cloak their knowledge of their gun. After dinner, Hisashi borrows and reads
Mayuka's guide book, and shoots Mayuka, to cloak her memory of her book. As
she looks for her book in his room, she reads one of his Erohon... The game
displays one event CG (family at dinner table), five image CG (Earth
invasion operation), and one Ecchi CG (Erohon).
I chose 8-1.

This is one of the nodes where the player has to favour Miori or Ikuko.
In 1st Play, I chose 12-2, as I was aiming for Miroi's first ending.

Before this node, the game re-displays the Erohon CG. (-_-;) AFAIK, the
model is an heroine in a previous game by Overflow.
13-1 leads to node 14.
Before node 14, the game re-displays the Erohon CG, and pans right to
reveal the article title. (-_-;) The game also displays one Mayuka Ecchi CG.
Hisashi doesn't find any anti-gravity reflector on Mayuka. He learns
Mayuka and Seika are, well, were royalty on their planet, but after a coup
d'etat, they are now fugitives, without ultra-tech weapons.
Then, the game displays two event CG: the family at breakfast table,
and an uncloaked UFO atop Hisashi's house.
Then, the game plays the OP animation and theme song "Imouto
nandamon!".
JULY 11, THURSDAY
The game re-displays one event CG: the family at dinner table.

I chose 14-2.
The game displays one event CG: Fuyuno, a girl with black long-straight
hair, wearing a grey-and-white sleeveless blouse and black short skirt, and
holding a kodachi (dagger).
Later (Sunday, 28 March 2004):
When the player chooses 14-1, Hisashi opens the door
and discovers an unconscious Mayuka on the floor.
The player gets an extra node where Hisashi can choose
to... very briefly admire Mayuka's assets. (One Mayuka Ecchi
CG.)

(not displayed), she was possibly his grandfather's sister.
JULY 12, FRIDAY
Mayuka has more than one set of clothes.
The game displays one event CG: the family at dinner table, with Mayuka
wearing a light green dress and Fuyuno.

I chose 16-2.
At school, the game displays one event CG: Miori, wearing bloomer,
bends forwards to speak with Hisashi.
Then, Hisashi and Ikuko challenge each other to achieve the higher exam
results.
After school, before Hisashi's home, he briefly meets, but doesn't
speak with, a woman who has short light brown hair and wears glasses.
17-1 Imoutotachi ni benkyou wo oshiete yaru. [Teach

JULY 13, SATURDAY
The game displays one event CG: Seika, Fuyuno, and Mayuka at breakfast
table.

Hisashi imagines the heroine with whom he'll (figuratively) partner for

OTOH, when I chose 19-1 and 19-2, the game plays the heroines' voices,
but displays a black (blank) screen instead of a CG. (Maybe the game assumes
I've locked onto Miori's route?)
Then, Hisashi gets out and takes a hike anyway.

The game displays one Miori non-Ecchi CG: she cosplays as a maid at a
famires.
Then, Hisashi gets out and takes a hike anyway.
OTOH, when I chose 20-2 or 20-3, the game plays the heroines' voices,
but displays a black screen instead of a CG. (Maybe the game assumes I've
locked onto Miori's route?)
Then, Hisashi gets out and takes a hike anyway.
When I chose 20-4, the game doesn't play any voice or display any CG,
and Hisashi gets out and takes a hike anyway.
21-1 CHANSU! [Chance!]
21-2 Ecchi na koto ha ikenai to omoimasu! [The
Automatic Maiden Mahoromatic motto.]

22-1 Sennoujuu wo tsukau. [Use brain-wash gun.]

Hisashi and Ikuko meet in a street.
When Hisashi goes home, he meets a girl with pale blue long hair who
wears a purple dress and carries a sheathed Western sword. He idiotically
admits he lives in the house on top of which is Mayuka's landing craft.
Both 22-1 and 22-2 leads to node 23.
For fun, I first chose 22-1. The gun is ineffective on her.
Then, I chose 22-2. She detects the gun anyway, and gives him 24 hours
to submit.
Seika and Mayuka explains an ancient secret super weapon is hidden some
depth below Hisashi's home. He digs for it and finds it. It can reportedly
summon and exploit nearby dead persons' spirits.
Then, the game displays one event CG: Seika, Fuyuno, and Mayuka at
dinner table.
JULY 14, SUNDAY
Today, no multiple choice node.
Before breakfast, Seika, Mayuka, and Hisashi check the backyard and
don't see the super weapon. They plan to separate and search the streets for
it, but are disrupted by Fuyuno's scream.
In the kitchen, a girl with red hair in a ponytail and wearing a school
uniform is looting their rice cooker. She calls Hisashi "Aniki", and herself
"Boku". (-_-;) She complains the breakfast lacks soy sauce, and introduces

Hisashi & Co interrogates Akiho about her sudden appearance in their
home, but she doesn't recall anything. Seika suggests Akiho is the super
weapon. Akiho claims when she thinks about weapons, she easily knows what
and how to use weapons. For example, she detects the 2,043 hostile starships
surrounding Earth.
(I agree with Hisashi that one girl VS 2,000+ starships? Does she think
she's a galactic Esper like Cosmo Police Justy (manga series)? OTOH, I've a
weakness for ponytail heroines with combat skills (armed or unarmed,
mechanised or unmechanised)...) f(^_^;)
While Hisashi & Co are debating, Akiho disappears. They think Akiho has
wandered outside the house, but Fuyuno suggested Akiho is inside the house,
because Akiho's shoes are still at the front door. (-_-;)^2
Hisashi finds Akiho in the hole in the backyard, BBQing beef and fish
with her laser. (No event CG.) He suggests she try firing her laser
skywards... and it returns and hits a neighbour's house, causing a fire...
(No event CG.)
Akiho and Hisashi go to inspect the damage. The game displays a
non-Ecchi event CG: a girl with short brown hair and a blue ribbon, wearing
a pink pajamas and running before a car.
Akiho saves the girl. (Kurahashi Haruru, I presume by her chara
design.)
Afterwards, the alien girl with pale blue long hair who wears a purple
dress and carries a sheathed Western sword arrives and confers with Hisashi.
Akiho returns and interrupts them. (-_-;)^3
Hisashi explains to Akiho the alien girl's mission. The game displays
an Akiho non-Ecchi CG: Akiho's eyes fire an energy blast (a la Cyclops of
The Uncanny X-Men).
The alien girl Nina's fleet report 1,468 starships are sunk or receive
major damage, 63 receive medium damage, and countless receive minor damage.
She retreats.

Akiho saved from the car. As expected, he learns her name is Kurahashi
Haruru.

While Hisashi gets some drinks, Akiho enters his room and meets his
classmates. When Ikuko attempts to speak with Akiho about his secrets, he
gives Akiho 1,000 Yen and tells her to go get some candies.
Then, Fuyuno and Mayuka enter Hisashi's room. Then, Seika also enters
Hisashi's room.
Hisashi's classmates banish him from his room, and interrogate Fuyuno
and Mayuka. When Akiho returns, they play games in his room.
Before dinner, Hisashi recalls he pledges to visit Haruru.

By now, it's strange that this game displayed blank
screens instead of some, eh, dramatic event CG. For
comparison, in Wind -a breath of heart-, which was event CG
deficient, that game at least displayed a CG of the day sky
or night sky, instead of the event CG that the player
expected from the text.
I'll run the Imoiko patch version 1.1 and see if
anything improves. If the patch fouls up Miori's flags,
then I'll replay and aim for Akiho's ending anyway. Or, if
the patch fouls up the game, then I'll install and try Talk
To Talk (T3) instead. (^_-)

(AFAIK, when the player's aiming for Ikuko's ending,
after this node 46 is one more node where the player can
choose "Omowazu..." to clear Miori's ending, or "Ikuko..."
to clear Ikuko's ending. In my case, I was aiming for
Miori's ending all along in 1st Play, so Ikuko's parameter
wasn't high enough to unlock this extra node before the
ending.) (T_T)
Hisashi tells his male classmates that his sisters and
mother will take a hike. They tell him that they met Miori
at the train station this morning, and she said after she
deposits her baggage, she will come to Hisashi's home.
Miori, wearing school uniform, subsequently enters
Hisashi's room. His male classmates leave them alone.
Hisashi suggests he and Miori go to Oohara Aquarium,
but she kisses him and says...
"ETTI na koto... siyokka?"
(Finally, another Miori Ecchi event. Nakadashi...)
When Miori exits Hisashi's home, they meet Haruru.
Haruru discloses Miori intends to live with their mother in
Hokkaidou, and Haruru lives with their father. Haruru has
moved to another hospital close to their father's new home.
Miori flees from Hisashi. He chases her, catches her,
and convinces her to stay. Yawn.
In the epilogue "AND THEN...", after Miori and Hisashi
graduate, they get married and has a daughter. Good Ending.

After 1st Play, I chose 46-1. Probably because I
fumbled many of the nodes en route and Miori's parameter
wasn't high enough, Hisashi didn't chase her. In the
epilogue, he just commented he became an university student,

On the next day, Fuyuno and then Akiho awaken Hisashi.
After school, Junichi comes to Hisashi's home and meets
Akiho.
Later, Junichi begs Hisashi to take a photo of Akiho.
Later, Akiho declines and runs into, well, through an
inside wall. Fuyuno, Mayuka, and Hisashi bribe Akiho with
food, and convince her to be photographed.
On the next day, Akiho awakens Hisashi.
In the afternoon, Junichi comes to Hisashi's home.
55-1 Akiho wo tyuui suru. [Caution Akiho.]
55-2 Akiho wo nadamesukasu. [Calm down Akiho.]
55-2 leads to node 56.
In 2nd Play, I chose 55-2.
Junichi says the photos fail to prove his theory, but
doesn't say what's his theory.
At night, Akiho and Hisashi chats about her (Akiho).
She suggests she might be a reincarnation of someone who's
passed away, and they wonder about her past...
On the next day, in the morning, Mayuka awakens
Hisashi, by claiming someone dropped an Ecchi na hon outside
the front door (false). During breakfast, his mother and
sisters complain he shouldn't hide his Erohon under his bed.
His father phones home and says he comes home tonight.
After breakfast, outside the front door, Akiho and
Hisashi see the stalker Kinomi before she flees. Akiho asks
Hisashi whether he has some photos.
Later, when Hisashi comes home, Akiho is looking at
photos from his albums. He begins to remember his childhood.</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
In one photo, he and some kids were making the peace sign in
a field. His head was bandaged because sometime before the
photo was taken, they were kicking cans, another kid's can
hit his head, and he got three stitches. They discuss this
other kid might be a girl...
Hisashi's father comes home. Hisashi enters his
father's room, and uses the gun to add Akiho's identity to
his father's memory. Later, as everyone welcomes his father,
Akiho momentarily becomes transparent. Later, Seika tells
Hisashi that she (Seika) thinks Akiho's energy consumption
is burning out...
On the next day, after breakfast, Hisashi briefly
speaks with Kinomi before she flees. She obviously knows
Akiho, but claims she and Akiho aren't friends.
After school, Akiho enters Hisashi's room and helps him
clean his cabinet and closet. They find an old uniform with
a missing second button. She borrows it and keeps it in her
room.
After Hisashi's father comes home, everyone discuss the
games they played during childhood. His father recalls the
girl who injured small Hisashi was called Aki, her mother
was called Tanemura san, and they lived in a nearby apart
(apartment mansion)... Akiho claims she's that girl, and she
momentarily becomes transparent...
As they watch a TV programme about medical technology,
Akiho claims she was in a CT scanner once... Akiho suddenly
flees from their home...
In the streets, while Hisashi searches for Akiho, he
meets Kinomi and tells her (Kinomi) that Akiho's missing. He
begs her to help search for Akiho, and she agrees.
After 15 minutes, Hisashi meets Akiho and Kinomi
outside their school.
When Akiho and Hisashi are going home, she announces
she doesn't want to fade away.
At home, everyone welcomes Akiho. Later, in Hisashi's
room, he tries to calm down her. (Akiho Ecchi event. First
Akiho Ecchi CG has three layers.)
Node 56 is during the Akiho Ecchi event.
56-1 Sounyuu suru. [Insert.]
56-2 Te de saseru. [By hand.]
Both 56-1 and 56-2 leads to node 57.
I saved game, chose 56-2, loaded game, and chose 56-1
to unlock different Akiho Ecchi CG.
When the player chooses 56-1, Akiho's back faces
Hisashi as she sits on him. (This second Akiho Ecchi CG has
one layer. The game then displays the fourth layer of the
first Akiho Ecchi CG.
When the player chooses 56-2, Akiho does tekoki on
Hisashi, and he finishes on her left cheek. (This second
Akiho Ecchi CG has two layers.)
On JULY 28, Akiho says Kinomi was her best friend.
At night, Akiho again flees from Hisashi's home.
Outside the front door, Akiho and Hisashi again meet Kinomi.
Kinomi quarrels with Akiho and flees. Akiho stays in her
room and wants everyone to leave her alone.
On JULY 29, Akiho doesn't come out for breakfast.
Later, Akiho enters Hisashi's room and explains in second
year of middle school, she was in a traffic accident and
went into a hospital...
57-1 Akiho no hanasi wo kiku. [Hear Akiho's speech.]
57-2 Akiho wo dakisimeru. [Embrace Akiho.]
I chose 57-2.
57-2 leads to another Akiho Ecchi event.
The first Akiho Ecchi CG has three layers.
The second Akiho Ecchi CG has two layers.
On JULY 30, Hisashi phones Kinomi, and discusses
Akiho's fading away.
On JULY 31, Akiho recalls and explains her quarrel with
Kinomi to everyone.
Akiho and Kinomi were second year students and Hisashi
was a third year student at the same school. Akiho always
admired him. On Hisashi's graduation day, Kinomi encouraged
Akiho to ask him for his second button. Akiho asked him for
it, but he refused to give it to her, a stranger. She
knocked down him and took the button by Brute Force. Kinomi
disagrees with Akiho's action, and they aborted their
friendship.
(One Akiho non-Ecchi CG.)
On AUGUST 1, Kinomi phones Hisashi and asks him to meet
her at the school. Just outside their home, Akiho chats with
Hisashi. They embrace, but she disappears anyway, without
any crimson butterfly.
(Two Akiho non-Ecchi CG.)
Later, Kinomi explains Akiho didn't buy the farm in the
traffic accident. Hisashi convinces Kinomi to take him to
the hospital where the real Akiho is in a coma, kept alive
by machines. (O_O;)
At home, Mayuka and Seika suggests when they activated
the super weapon, it attracted a live person's soul, instead
of dead persons' souls.
For the next three weeks, Hisashi stays beside Akiho's
bed and holds her hand.
One day, at home, Fuyuno tells Hisashi she suspects a
burglar is in their home. They investigate, and hear a
familiar munching sound. In the kitchen, they find the real
Akiho, who retains the memory of her living with Hisashi and
his family at his home.
Akiho and Hisashi live happily ever after. Good Ending.
