I. Version History
------------------
Version 1.0 - Put together the whole FAQ. This is the base I have started
with. I will improve this FAQ for later Game Updates and such.

II. Introduction
----------------
I like barrack raiding a lot, and I have many chars for this purpose.
I dont really like higher lvling dueling because it takes just too darn long
to kill anyone. I like the swift "get done with it" part of barrack raiding.
Ever since the new version, barrack raiding has gotten a lot harder due to
the combatant/citizen choice now. Before, you could just run in and kill
everyone. Now you must wait to find a combatant so you can fight. You can't
harm citizens with normal attacks, but they can report your position,
poison you, use detect invisibilty, and other things like that.
I like the swift "get done with it" part of barrack raiding. I am very
knowledgable on this part of the game. My word isn't law, but it will be
very helpful. Long live barrack raiding and I hope you enjoy this part of
the game as much as I do.

III. The Art of Barrack Raiding
-------------------------------
Barrack raiding is done to get enemy kills (EKs). You train yourself to be
quick to kill and be the absolute best that you can be at your level. It
takes a quite long time to train a character up to raid the barracks. Most
of the time you must have your skill trained up to 100%. This is so you can
you critical attacks, hit more, or cast magic better. Usually barrack
raiding is done in groups so you can mass slaughter everyone and not have to
worry about getting ganged up on. You have to be under lvl 41 to enter your
or the enemies' barracks. Becoming a barrack raider takes awhile, but it is
well worth the journey.

IV. Warrior Raiders
-------------------
Warrior raiders are some of the most common raiders. They are easier than
the other barrack raiders to level and pack quite a punch. Their only
downfall is that many of these raiders won't survive long without the aid
of mages or more warriors. Warrior raiders usually have 100% in one of these
different weapon classes: Short Sword, Long Sword, Axe, Archery, or Fencing.
Short sword is more common than the others due to its low strength
requirements. Warriors are a great choice for a beginning barrack raider.
Warrior raiders fall under these categories:

-Short Sword Raider-
These raiders have low str due to the fact that short swords require very
little str. This lets you get high enough dex to hit most enemies and be
hit less than normal. The low str also lets you get high enough vit to take
a good bit of punishment.

-Long Sword Raider-
These raiders are not very recommended and are usually just people who want
100% Long Sword skill for later on but decide to raid for fun. To full swing
a long sword takes a lot of str so vit and dex must be sacrificed. Again,
not recommended. You need to find an agile Sabre before trying to level this
skill before level 20.

-Axe Raider-
An axe raider needs a good bit of str than the short sword raider to full
swing an axe. These guys aren't that much worse than a short sword raider,
and having the axe 100% when you leave the barracks is a good idea. Since
you need a little more str you need to sacrifice some dex and vit, but not
nearly as much as a darn Long Sword Raider.

-Archery Raider-
These guys are not recommended either. They would help out a lot to deal
with mages, but warriors would totally slaughter them. The strength
requirement for a bow is nearly as much as for a long sword user. Most of
the time people combine long sword and an archery raider together, to get
a quite nice result. These guys cost A LOT of money to build. So, beware.

-Fencing Raider-
I don't have much experience with these types of raiders and i don't know
if i want to either. I just don't see how this can beat a short sword. A
rapier (the fencing raider's weapon) requires 13 more str than a short sword
does but only does a tad more damage than a short sword, but it also swings
slower. A short swords damage is 1D6 with 2 attack speed while a rapier is
1D7 with 3 attack speed (if you don't understand that consult on of the
FAQs on this website). Just doesn't make sense especially because rapiers
are about 3 times as rare and 2 times as expensive. This raider would have
basically the same stats as a axe raider.

IV.a. Equipment of Choice
-------------------------
For weapons, you need to find a weapon with the modifier of ancient,
critical, sharp, or poison (in best to least order). Try to find one of
these with the consecutive damage (also known as rep). The higher the rep
the better. Rep seven being the highest. So try to find a weapon that looks
like this, "Ancient <insert weap here> Consecutive Damage +7". I don't know
if this seems important to you, but this means the world when trying to kill
someone. A good armor attribute would be hp recovery, of course. Others may
be anti/absorb physical or resistance/absorb magic, tho these are expensive.
Now I will list the kinds of warrior raiders most likely equipment they
would use to be successful.

Short Sword Raider- A nice short sword, hauberk, scale mail, plate legs, and
an iron shield.

Long Sword Raider- A good sabre, hauberk, chain mail, plate legs, tower
shield, and a helm.

Axe Raider- A swell light axe (the type, not the attribute), hauberk, chain
mail, plate legs, and a kite shield.

Archery Raider- A regular short bow, hauberk, chain mail, plate legs, and a
helm. (Bows are two handed so know shield).

Fencing Raider- A real good rapier, hauberk, chain mail, plate legs, and a
kite shield.

IV.b. Preferred Stats
---------------------
By level 19 you want to have enough str to full swing your weapon of choice
and have enough vit to level shield properly. Before level 19 (while you are
a traveler) you will never get hungry or your weapons will never break. This
is the perfect time to level up your skills! Now I will list the easiest
stats to get your barrack warrior's skills leveled up quick. Though these
are not the only set of stats you can have, they are really recommended...

Short Sword Raider- Level 19: 12str, 50dex, 32vit
                   Level 40: 26str, 92dex, 39vit

Long Sword Raider-  Level 19: 34str, 50dex, 10vit
                   Level 40: 65str, 70dex, 20vit

Axe Raider-         Level 19: 26str, 50dex, 18vit
                   Level 40: 39str, 85dex, 33vit

Archery Raider-     Level 19: 34str, 50dex, 10vit
                   Level 40: 52str, 85dex, 20vit

Fencing Raider-     Level 19: 26str, 50dex, 18vit
                   Level 40: 39str, 85dex, 33vit

The str requirement are pretty much set in stone, if you want to level these
skills real quick. The level 19 dex is certainly set in stone. The level 40
dex and vit can be changed to your liking, but make sure the dex stay higher
than the vit by quite some. The long sword (sabre), axe (light axe),
fencing (rapier) raiders should be using their designated weapon that has
"agile" attribute to help with their hefty str requirements. The long sword
and archery raider will never have enough str to full swing at level 19 no
matter what.

IV.c. Skills
------------
*NOTE: YOUR CHOICE OF THESE SKILLS SHOULD BE 100% BEFORE YOU BECOME A
CITIZEN!!*

Short sword: Level this skill by using a dagger on the dummies in the
barracks.

Long sword: Level this skill by using an agile sabre on the dummies in the
barracks.

Fencing: Level this skill using an agile rapier on dummies in the barracks.

Axe: Level this skill by using an agile light axe on dummies in the
barracks.

Archery: Level this skill by buying a short bow and LOTS of arrows on
dummies in the barracks.

Shield: Equip a shield (after learning the proper manual) and go down to
barrack 2. Here the dummies hit for 1pt each. You should let a dummy hit you
overnight to level this skill quickly. A HP recovery shield and/or high vit
can make it so you can take more than 1 dummy overnight to level this skill
more than twice as fast.

Magic Resistance: You could join a MR Party somewhere (usually in farm). A
MR Party is where people constantly blast magic at each other while in a
party. This increases magic resistance, but at your low level you will gain
very little if any at all from this. It is 15 times as better to do naked
runs through the Elvine Garden or the Aresien Graden and let magic orcs hit
you and watch your MR FLY UP! If you have good enuff vit you could wear
magic resistance equipment and take a recall scroll with you and watch it
fly even faster.

Poison Resistance: Let a friend hit you with a poison dagger over and over.
This not only levels your poison resistance, it also levels your shield %
as well.

IV.d. Tactics and Tips
----------------------
*Warriors should travel in groups.
*Kill mages first!
*Mob one person at a time.
*Know when to run.
*Do not use all your critical attacks at once.
*Protect the Archers from warriors as they will protect you from the
mages in exchange.

V. Mage Raiders
---------------
Mage raiders take a little more discipline to level up. They take a long
time to gain magic percent. To get the magic skill all the way up to 100%
20% takes about 19hours of straight casting. That means without running
out of mana. There are very few mage raider types. The two main raider types
are: Summoning Raider, Mass Lightining/Ice Strike, or Aid Mage. The main
difference between these three types is the mag/int placement. Read on
further if you are interested in making a mage raider!

V.a. Equipment of Choice
------------------------
Summoning, Mass Lightning/Ice Strike, and Aid Mages all have the same
amount of strength, therefore all use mostly the same equipment.

(Weapon)
All of the mages needs a wand with casting probability +%. It is real
helpful for the Mass Lightning/Ice Strike mage, whom rely on making every
casting attempt worth the time. The other two mages could do without a wand,
but it is still nice to have.

(Armor)
All three of the mages should have Chain Hoses and a Hauberk. Some people
like to get leather armor also. Although leather armor isn't needed it is
recommended. Shoes and capes are also nice.

(Shield)
These are not needed. They are for recovery purposes. You should not carry
one if you don't have a shield with mana recovery +%. Make sure that the
shield is also a wood shield. When ever you get low on mp, cast invisiblity
and run to a corner, equip the shield and wait for your mana points to
regain.

V.b. Preferred Stats
--------------------
The good thing about mages is that you don't have to level all your skills
to 100% before you become a mage. So you can basically have your stats as
you want, as long as they reach the level 40 stats recommended here.

Summoning Mage- Level 40: 15str, 38int, 84mag, 30vit

Mass Lightning/Ice Strike Mage- Level 40: 15str, 60int, 80mag, 12vit

Aid Mage- Level 40 (With Berserk): 15str, 59int, 79mag, 12vit
         Level 40 (W/O Berserk): 15str, 38int, 104mag, 10vit

The summoning mage's vit can be less if you would like to add to magic.
Most of the monster will be taking the damage anyway. With 2+ cyclops
who would need much vit anyhow? 30vit is there just to be safe.

The Mass Lightning/Ice Strike mage could use more vit, but there isn't much
any place you can take the points from. They need 60int for ice strike and
they need a alot of mag to cast their spells enough to kill the opponent.

The Aid mage is should not travel alone. This mage has low vit, due to this
types always being invisible except to heal, invis, berserk their allies.
They may also paralyze the opponent.

V.c. Skills
-----------
All these types of mages MUST have 100% magic. Having 100% magic skill
increases your probability to cast dramatically and lets you summon better
monster.

Magic: Cast magic missile on yourself over and over constantly. This levels
your magic resistance also. It takes awhile to level your magic resistance
this way though. Magic skill percent will go up slowly, but surely.

This not only levels your poison resistance, it also levels your shield %
as well.

Staff Attack: This isn't really nessacary, but some people have asked me to
add it in. Use your staff and beat on dummies to level this. Beware this
will also raise your level!! Most people summon strong monsters the use the
command /hold to keep the monster still, then beat away at the monster. This
way you will gain no exp, but you will gain staff attack %.

V.d. Spells
-----------
These are the backbones of the mage raiders. The ones with the * on them
are not needed but HIGHLY HIGHLY recommened. It's your choice if you
want them though.

Summoning Mage- Summon Creature, Invisiblity, Recall, *Great Heal,
*Protection from Magic, *Detect Invisiblity, and *Great Stamina Recovery.

Mass Lightning/Ice Strike Mage- Mass Lightning and/or Ice Strike,
Invisiblity, Recall, *Great Heal, *Protection from Magic, *Detect
Invisiblity, and *Great Stamina Recovery.

Aid Mage- Great Heal, Protection from Magic, Detect Invisiblity,
Invisiblity, Great Defense Shield, Berserk (your choice), Paralyze, Cure,
Protection from Arrows, Stamina Drain.

V.e. Tactics and Tips
---------------------
*An invis/zerked cyclops works wonders.
*Summoning Mage and a Mass Lightning/Ice Strike mage do not work well
together due to spells can hurt summons.
*Protect the Aid Mages!
*Raid with warriors.
*Stay Invis until you are about to attack.
*Know when to run.
*Use recall as a last resort.
*Heal before Kill

VI. BattleMage Raiders
----------------------
These raiders, also know as bmages, are the ones most people don't know
about. These guys can be really powerful or downright sucko. It all depends
on strategy. If you have it, you will do will. If not, ummm nevermind. This
class is becoming more and more popular due to the fact that they can go
into the enemy barracks solo and still own. They have the use of some
helpful spell but most rely on weapons to do the killing. So here it is,
the lost art of battlemage raiding!

VI.a. Equipment of Choice
-------------------------
General Bmage- A nice short sword, hauberk, scale mail, plate legs, a good
casting probability +% wand, and an iron shield.

VI.b. Preferred Stats
---------------------
Doesn't matter how you get here, but you should have these stats. Feel free
to tweak and tinker with these as much as you like, but these stats are
strongly suggested.

Level 40 - 26str, 70dex, 25mag, 36int, 20vit

VI.c. Skills and Spells
-----------------------
-Skills-
Short sword: Level this skill by using a dagger on the dummies in the
barracks, get 100%.

Magic: Cast magic missile on yourself over and over constantly. This levels
your magic resistance also. It takes awhile to level your magic resistance
this way though. Magic skill percent will go up slowly, but surely. Try to
get 50%.

Get around 50%.

-Spells-
Recall
Great Heal
Invisibility
Paralyze
Detect Invisibility

VI.d. Tactics and Tips
----------------------
*Try to attack people who are alone.
*Stay invis until you paralyze someone, then launch a melee attack.
*Always run when more than one person is after you.
*Hide in the shadows
*Never fight a warrior face to face.
