Woe is the whining Yusuke Sawada. The misfortunate lad has been sent against
his ill to a school far, far away from his home. Upon arrival, he finds that
the boys' dorm is overcrowded. One of the overflow, he's sent to an alternate
apartment, but that has burned down! Yusuke is homeless!
Just when he's at his lowest, Yusuke has a fortuitous meeting with Asumi, a
former classmate of his. She used to bully him, but she also believes he knows
a secret about her that she doesn't want revealed, at any cost. Even though
Yusuke can't remember the info, he goes along with the blackmail. She has no
choice but to help him out, but new solution isn't ideal. Yusuke must live
with her in the girls' dorm.
Naturally, though, there aren't any boys allowed in the girls dorm at this
high school. In order to sneak in, Yusuke will have to wear a girl's uniform.
Also, he'll have to sleep in the closet, as Asumi already has two other
roommates, the meek Tomoe and bizarre Marumu. It certainly shapes up into
a crazy environment, one that could drive anyone to their wit's end. However,
as Yusuke adjusts to his situation, he begins to appreciate each one of the
girls. Will his feelings blossom into love? And which girl will he choose?
In this command selection adventure, those answers are left up to you. Good

Yusuke Sawada

At first, Yusuke may seem like a bit of a crybaby. He complains about his
parents, his new school, and his unfortunate luck. Even the prospect of
moving in with three girls doesn't seem to cheer him up that much. But as
he becomes attached to his new roommates, his attitude begins to change and
he starts to grow up.
Asumi Hirota
------------
Simply put, Asumi is a terror. The self-appointed leader of the roommates, she
always has a plan of action for the trio, and no other opinions are needed.
This certainly makes her look selfish and egocentric, but really, it's just
the way she best knows how to express her enthusiasm for life.
Tomoe Katsuragi
---------------
Unlike Asumi, Tomoe is meek and seems to always defer to the wishes of others.
With such a personality, it may be surprising that she's actually class
president, but that's just a testament to her wish to help others. Sometimes
people take advantage of her kindness because her self-confidence is still
developing. She's also very devoted to her family, who run a famous hot
spring inn nearby the school.
Marumu Ogamayama
----------------
Strange would be the word to describe Marumu. Most of the time she's quiet
and keeps to herself, but when she does open her mouth the wierdest ideas come
out. Only by observing her actions can you see the full extent of her
commitment to the group. However, since she doesn't communicate, it's
impossible to know exactly what she's feeling.
Namiki Honjo
------------
If you can believe it, Namiki is almost as assertive (read: crazy) as Asumi.
Although she refers to herself as Yusuke's older sister, she's actually his
cousin, and they have spent most of their lives together. As a result,
Namiki always looks out for him, although it's debatable whether this is
out of genuine concern or she's just a control freak.
Yoshiko Yagami
--------------
Perfect for teaching at this unorthodox school, Yoshiko has a somewhat
unorthodox personality. She gives everything for her students and will bend
the rules if it benefits them. She's a truly kind person, not to mention
beautiful.
Toshibo
-------
Toshibo is a remarkable animal; a fat cat that looks out for our roommates
in extraordinary ways. Toshibo is closest to Tomoe, as they have known each
other the longest. Tomoe even thinks she can communicate with the feline,
but that is very much debatable.
Trio de Bitches - Akane Yukimura, Kaoru Hisane, and Midori Fubuki
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Led by the spiteful Akane, these three are the main rivals of our heroines, and
will do anything to antagonize them. Akane is the same type of leader as
Asumi, and they have a hatred of each other that goes back to middle school.
This is what spurs the clashes between the two groups. Haughty Kaoru, who was
once a great athlete, ruthlessly carries out her leader's wishes. In contrast,
Midori is a total bookworm; she loves to gather information on people. The
Trio represent the greatest threat to uncovering Yusuke's secret.
Hikaru Saeki
------------
Hikaru transfer into the school partway through the year. Cold and distant,
she goes out of her way not to make any friends at all. Of course, this
attracts Asumi's attention, and she makes it her number one project to melt
this Ice Queen.

Heart de Roommate is a command selection adventure game. As you are reading
the dialogue and following the storyline, the game will occassionally present
you with a choice of action. The ending you receive will depend directly on
the choices you make. If you can build up a girl's love for Yusuke enough,
they just might end up together.
Getting your desired ending is a matter of pleasing the girl you have your
eye on. This shouldn't be too hard, as the right action to take is usually
intuitive. However, if you need a roadmap, use the steps below. Following
these instructions can unlock every ending and CG for you to enjoy.
