01: Abduction
-------------
You start out in Harmony's cozy living quarters. Don't miss the armor in
the dresser (or you could save it for later if you like). Follow the
left wall and keep exploring into the next room. In here behind what was
probably Amira's bed you can find the map. Continue following the left
wall and check out the purple hexagon on the ground. That is a "safe to
pick up" grenade. If it were flashing, it would be "armed" and "NOT safe
to pick up". Pick up the grenade and save it for later. Or save the
game and kill yourself with it a few times to get the hang of how to use
it with your bare hands.
Now that you've picked up the grenade right outside your room, turn
around and follow the left wall down to the bathrooms. You'll hear some
growling, which of course means monsters around. In the last bedroom
before getting to the bathrooms is a plant on a table. That plant gives
you a minor heal, so remember it for later if you need it.
Past or through the bathrooms you'll encounter your first beastling
(dog-like melee only monster). On normal mode these little guys take
about 7 shots with your pea shooter so find some space to back away as
you take them out. You encounter two more down the stairs and you don't
have a key yet so go through the other door.
Shoot at enemies through the window if you like, and then take the
elevator up to get your first keycard. Whee! Take a look out the window
to see the area you are just about to discover and note the secret area I
could not find how to get to (sorry this is just a how to beat the game
walkthrough, not 100% secrets).
Update: The author kindly notified me of how to get this secret. You
will need to find 2 switches in secret areas. The first secret area is
found in the bathroom. One of the toilets has a switch which lowers it
to an outside area. In this area you will find a grenade launcher and a
switch on a pillar.
The second secret area (though it is accidently not marked as secret) is
found behind a blood smeared crate in the area with the laser bars.
Behind the crate you will find another switch.
After activating both switches a door is opened near the exit sign. This
door leads to an elevator in the rocks that takes you up so you can grab
the armor on the crates in the big outdoor area.
Backtrack down the elevator and turn left to find where to use your
keycard. Now you are out in that open area and you can find the window
where you optionally killed monsters through it on your way to your first
keycard. On normal mode the followers (the zombie types) drop shotguns
so grab and enjoy your first real weapon. Ammo runs out fast though so
watch the numbers on your HUD.
You can kill everything in this big open area if you want (recommended)
but the next step is to go into the building on your right (obviously
through the garage door/elevator on the right seeing as how the left one
is impossibly blocked).
Two followers and a beastling await, and then a cool duke nukem style
scene where you see Amira for a brief moment. Then behind you some
baddies pop out including one (predator) with this white disc weapon that
tracks you so be careful. After emptying nearly all your ammo into them,
go into where they came from (grabbing the armor in your room at this
point if you like- shortcut on the wall near the first garage elevator),
and drop down. You'll have to make a "jump" at this point, running fast
across the pillars sticking out of the water so you don't fall in the
water and have to go through the garage elevator again. On the other
side stand on the button/switch to see the submarine submerge (neat!) and
then "swim" past it and watch for another predator and a few followers on
the left.
Kill them all and make another "jump" onto the boat and inside to exit
the level.
02: Harm's way
-------------
On this level exit the boat and swim to shore. Through the tunnel you
find a courtyard. Some followers will try to shoot at you through the
windows, and you can pick up some mushrooms. Go through either door and
head left until you reach some stairs and a bigger door. This door
auto-opens when you approach and a beastling jumps out at you (eep!). Go
left and defeat a couple followers to grab some armor (yay!).
Go back and down the right path and up the stairs to find a little path
to the left and some mushrooms in front of you. There's a follower by
the mushrooms just fyi. Down the little path to the right is a predator
and then a fun room where you stand on the switch and all the doors open
and three followers attack you at once. Take the two mushrooms in the
left door and then the one mushroom in the forward door also leads to the
next blue worship area. Some grenades are on the alter for you to grab-
then you face a predator and a follower.
Back where they came from you find a little hall- a follower drops down
as you enter so careful. Then on the right is a watery room you looked
out onto earlier- a medkit is here (20% health ish?) as well as a
beastling and a secret passage right behind the medkit that goes back to
earlier in the level in case you wanted to retrace your steps.
Back in the little hall, in front of you (when coming from the blue
worship room) is the way to the upper missile room. You enter on a
balcony with a medkit overlooking a bunch of followers in the room
below. They'll start shooting you through the window so hurry past and
down around the passage to face them. If you're good you can take them
all out with one grenade while they're still bunched up among the
pillars.
Once the upper missile room is cleared, you can jump down in the watery
moat around the missile. Go left to grab more armor and some much needed
shotgun ammo. Go back and to the right of the missile and save your
game. If you fall just right (hug the left edge) you can get a secret on
a small cliff here- a supercharge that gives you bonus health (nice!).
At the bottom of the waterfall, you can see the green door but you don't
have a green key yet. Head down the left passage (so dark~) to find the
lower missile room. Kill off about 8 followers, including the one up the
small stairway on your left as you look into the church room. Head up
those small stairs to flip a switch. The missile in the church room
lowers, granting you access to the green keycard!
Make your way back to the green door at the bottom of the waterfall.
Through the door around the corner is a follower and then two beastlings
and another follower when you flip the switch to lower the elevator. At
the top you'll face another beastling if you didn't take care of it
already, and a mushroom is there if you need it. To your right you can
go back to earlier parts of the level (again through another shortcut
which just opened up). To your left is a follower down behind the pillar
and a predator and two followers who shoot at you through the window.
Between the pillar and the window is a passage to a door that leads
outside to another courtyard area.
A beastling charges at you on the balcony area- but nothing is down in
the courtyard (omniously). Make your way to the end of the balcony and
find a medkit and two followers which shot at you at the beginning of
this level. The small door there lets you go back through to retrace
your steps if you like.
When you're ready, make some kind of plan for your battle in the
courtyard and use the switch on the center building. As you might have
guessed it opens up and all sorts of monsters come out: about 4
beastlings and 4 followers. Inside the center building you can find the
purple key, and in the corner opposite the well is the purple door.
Through there, take out some followers and find a grenade in the left
alcove. In the middle of the room is a scary face switch- use it to see
a cool lighting trick and open a passage to your right. One last
beastling tries to slow you down, and then touch the ladder to end the
level!
03: Owt mood
-------------
Take out the three followers at beginning of this level and grab the
shotgun ammo (woot) and medkit (woot). Now, you'll notice what looks
like a grenade in the hallway ahead- but it is flashing. This is the
mine I was warning you about at the beginning. If you touch it you die.
Shoot it and proceed forward. Take out the mines you encounter and go at
it with the monsters in the big canyon area.
You'll notice a green door and a purple door here. The only exit forward
you can take now is down in the bottom towards the purple door, on the
left. Take out the predators and hit the switch, then have fun fighting
your first phage (big orange mutants that fire pea shooter bullets that
are 10 times more powerful than yours) and get the green key in the next
room. You can fight the mutant soldier (nasty zombie type with a
chaingun) here too if you like but it's not recommended.
Head back to the canyon and make the big obvious jump to get to the green
door. Behind the green door you'll find a bunch of beastlings and then a
switch behind the altar opens a passage on the first left where you
entered the room. Through there is another beastling, a follower, a
mutant soldier in the back right (you can go along the tiny ledge to get
to his alcove for ammo and a medkit), and a glorious new weapon in a cage
in the middle, the minigun. This weapon is powerful not only because of
its damage but because it stun locks your enemy, preventing any return
fire from your target. The down side is it eats ammo like popcorn and
there's never enough ammo for it.
Drop down with the cage when you're ready and go to the next room to
fight a predator and two mutant soldiers. There is a lot of health and
ammo in this room because up the stairs where the two mutant soldiers are
is a door with a really hard battle behind it, so save your game. The
passage to the right of the door leads back to where you fought your
first phage, but there's no shortcut back so don't fall down there unless
you want to retrace nearly the first half of the level again.
Behind the door face off against about 8 mutant soldiers throughout the
room behind pillars and in the corners. It helps if you can pop in, get
them to hit each other, and then run back out, letting the door close
between you. Then sometimes mutant soldiers will finish one of their own
kind off for you. Save after the massive battle is over. Once you've
cleared out this room, you'll see the orange door. Go through the door
opposite from it and blast the beastlings and phage and mutant soldier.
Sticking to the right wall leads to the (currently closed off) entrance
to the library room- we'll come back here later. In front of you is
another waterfall drop, with some grenades you could possibly pick up if
you try harder than me. Down at the bottom of the waterfall is a huge
room with brutally large number of phages. On the balcony are some
predators to watch out for as well. Access an elevator at the far end of
the lower area to get up to the balcony. Inside the balcony area is a
fun pentagon battle where you hit switch after switch, defeating wave
after wave of enemies, until finally an elevator opens up.
The next area is a messy altar room with enemies in the balconies on both
sides. Hitting the switch behind the messy altar opens the library room
entrance from before.
In the back left is a lift takes you to a shortcut back to the top of the
waterfall and to the library room entrance that was closed off before.
Make your way into the library room, dealing with the two mutant soldiers
below. Then you can grab the orange key and discover a shortcut to the
massive battle room via the lifting pillar with a switch and a single
candle on it. Some lifts in this game you activate by pressing "use" on
the lift itself, some you hit a nearby switch.
Through the orange door, fight through some windows and then pick up a
grenade launcher and preach a sermon with it! The grenade launcher is
powerful and great for taking down heavy enemies quickly- however it is
slow both in projectile speed and refire rate, PLUS it is easy to
accidentally hit a nearby wall and kill yourself with it, so use with
caution.
Down in the sermon area the main door leads back to a previous room so
use the right door. You'll fight some beastlings and then find an open
area which I'll call the bridge room. Watch out for the predators on the
cliff to your left and the beastling in the water below, and stand on the
switch to put the bridge in place.
Across the bridge and up some stairs is a bigger open area with more
monsters (if you haven't taken them all out already) and a supercharge.
At the bottom you'll find a passage to a jail area, which connects to the
messy altar room from before. Clear out the monsters and unlock the
cells. Then head back to the bridge room to find the next room. This
room has a throne in it (I suggest saving here) and both doors forward
lead to the dock area. Clear out everything in the dock area including
flipping the switch in the back tower, and grab the purple key and go
through the waterway to get back to the big canyon area at the very
beginning of the level.
Save. Through the purple door is your friendly neighborhood phage, some
armor, and a tricky deathtrap. The key is to drop the elevator, go out
through the purple door, and shoot the mines through the window. This
will let you safely enter the elevator and clear out the two mutant
soldiers at the top. Grab the medkits and go out to some open areas with
phages and predators for you to kill. Stand on the switch to get to the
next open area with more phages and a mutant soldier or two, and finally
touch the ladder on the rooftop area to exit the level.
04: Megalapolis
-------------
Start the level at the bottom of the ladder and hop around on the boxes
to find a grenade launcher (and touch the bottom of the box to mark it as
finding a secret area).
Out one door you see the ball of faces and a switch in what looks like a
museum area.
Out the other is an explosive fire extinguisher next to a follower right
around the bend. Move through the next room with two followers in it and
you'll be in the purple key hall. At the bottom of the elevator at the
end of this hall is some baddies (typically two beastlings and two
followers will come at you soon after getting off the elevator). Outside
is the first street area of many. Above you to your left is a mutant
soldier, and the "shop" aka the building in front of you (when you turn
left after coming out of the room at the bottom of the elevator) houses a
mutant soldier as well as a few followers. On your right is a phage and
the purple door. Deal with all of these threats as you see fit- I
recommend going into the building in front of you, taking out the mutant
soldier behind the counter and the 3 followers to your right, and
grabbing the ammo and armor on display there. Then go through the door
and take out two more followers and the mutant soldier across the way
through the window. Now fall out of the window and fight the phage if
you haven't already (usually it has killed off the mutant soldier behind
it but if that is not the case, take care of it too- if you move up and
over into the phage's area, you'll have to go up the stairs and through
the shop again.
After falling out of the window into the alley, go left where you'll find
a follower hiding in the back left corner and big arrow painted on the
ground telling you to go up the stairs. Whether you go up the stairs or
not is up to you, but you have a lot of baddies to kill here. Pop your
head out into the main street after killing a few followers, and about 4
mutant soldiers, 2 beastlings, and 4 followers will eventually come
around the corners after you. Luckily there are some bullets for your
lovely minigun left by a dead compatriot in the corner. Save.
At this point you can wander the streets, but at best you'll get shot at
from mutant soldiers and followers on the rooftops, and at worst you'll
run into the next terror of the game, the centaur. This massive mutant
monster makes mincemeat out of you if you don't keep on your toes. It
fires grenades at you with a grenade launcher and it also occasionally
shoots out land mines. Unless you've really been conserving your ammo,
you probably don't have a good chance of taking this thing out right now,
so best not to disturb it. The only other good thing about wandering
around is getting a sneak preview of some of the areas you're going to
wander through later.
So, back at the arrow painted on the ground, follow its sage advice and
climb the stairs. Along the balcony here you come to a door, another
door, a couple followers, and then through the corridor to make your way
into the first of many cool buildings in this level. This one is a
bowling alley (sadly you can't knock down the pins, but you can go behind
them for some bonus ammo). Exiting out the front of the bowling alley,
go down a hallway with a mutant soldier at the end, and a beastling on
some stairs after that. At the top of the stairs is a door to the bar-
except the bartender is a mutant soldier and the things on stage are two
beastlings and a guitar. Save.
Behind the bar counter (you get there by getting up on the stage) is some
ammo and a health pack. Then around the corner is another mutant soldier
and more ammo, and a window to the next room. This room (the "music
room" or "dance room") has two phages and two mutant soldiers on the
stage towers behind them. Try to get the phages to kill off the mutant
soldiers for you, or take them all out through the window, conserving
ammo if you have the patience. Then open the door and climb around on
the towers to grab ammo if you can get at it, drop some phat beats in the
DJ booth, and then head out the garage door by hitting the switch. Save.
Watch out for enemies on top of the truck and make your way across the
street to the lobby room- which has a follower, phage, and mutant soldier
to gun down. Then up the stairs and a nice row of grenades right before
you enter the theater. On stage is a phage and two predators- use one of
the pillars to block the white discs while you take them down. Then back
stage you find a health pack and a switch which opens the door to the
shipyard area. If you haven't already set the centaur loose, it will
come out now- and you can do a good amount of damage to it safely from
here. If you don't have enough ammo, go outside and run past it to get
out to the shipyard area. Save.
In the shipyard area be prepared to fight three beastlings, grab some
shotgun ammo, and take note of the yellow key and the yellow door. If
you fall in the water, get back out through a jump on some crates near
the front of the big ship, near where you came in. Don't let yourself
get trapped down there while the centaur is near because it is nearly
impossible to make the jump with grenades and land mines flying at you.
Anyway check out the back of the base of the crane, which when you "use"
it lifts you to the top and you can run out and fall onto the big ship.
Make your way to the front of the ship and inside and secure your yellow
keycard. The ship makes a good place to battle the centaur from as well,
but you still probably don't have enough ammo to finish it off. Get back
onto the shipyard safely (there is a jump you can make near where the
crane reaches over the crates), and open the yellow door.
Go through the corridor, and press "use" on the elevator wall Take out
the follower on the elevator and then take it up to the fiery room. Play
with the fire (surprisingly it doesn't seem to hurt- that or Harmony just
isn't stupid enough to let you throw her into the flames) and then go
around and follow the hallway to get a view out onto the street, blocked
by a bar sticking out of the wall. This is another great spot to empty
all your ammo into the centaur and hopefully kill him/it.
After that hallway, wander to the next hallway and check out the
apartments, most all of which are empty. The one with the bear rug,
however, has minigun ammo and a medkit. The blood on the ground
indicates you should jump out the window here. Defenestrate yourself and
take out the phage before heading into the first door on your right to
grab a bunch of ammo in the hockey rink.
Exit the hockey rink and continue to your right. Take out the phage, and
the mutant soldier on the rooftop if you want, and then save before going
into the building. Inside this building "the hotel" you fight 3 more
phages and two mutant soldiers, and it's not an easy battle. Up the
stairs you fight a few beastlings and spiral around (pick up a grenade
pack in the shower room along the way) and around and around forever. The
end.
I wrote the author and apparently you're supposed to be able to jump the
gap at the top of these spiral stairs. I tried everything I could think
of and still couldn't make it. My advice: hit tilde ("~") and type "fly
1" (with the space) to turn on fly mode. Hit tilde again, fly across and
then do all the same things to enter the opposite console command, "fly
0". You should drop to the ground again and when you turn on and off fly
mode you get messages from the game saying something to the effect of
"you feel lighter/heavier" etc.
Now that you're across, take out the mutant soldier and fall down the
elevator shaft. Shoot the panel on the east side to open the path to the
next area.
Drop down from the tunnel you were in and take out the mutant soldier
that should be right next to you. Open the door and see the pool, and
poke your head out the gate in the east wall (opposite end from the
diving board) to get the attention of several baddies. If you're lucky
they will attack each other and you'll only have to deal with a few, but
expect a beastling and a follower to attack you at the gate. Another
follower and a mutant soldier on the roof will try to take you out as
well. Around the bend, a follower, two phages, and two predators will
attack. The passage on your left takes you back to the streets, which is
a bad place to be if the centaur is still alive. The alley ahead opens
into a church courtyard of some sort, and there are two mutant soldiers
on top of it that will make you bleed from far away.
Pick up armor in the front and a medkit in the back and then make your
way to the roof via the spiral of mushrooms you should have seen
earlier. At the top inside the center chamber a couple of followers
await. Take them out and nab the last weapon: the Entropy Thrower! This
is somewhat like ye olde plasma gun; it shoots the same shots as your
pistol but in super rapid fire action. You probably have some ammo for
it already. This gun is very strong and easier to aim than the minigun,
but the downside again is that it eats up ammo super fast.
Hit the switch to open the door below, and hop down there to fight the
beastling, or not since it is quickly taken out by the two mutant
soldiers behind it, in what looks like a security room. A quick jog up
the stairs leads you to... the museum!! Take a look around, grab a
mushroom, go up the stairs to the freaky head ball thing, and flip the
switch to grab the purple keycard! At last! You should recall the
purple door is down the hall and below you, so take the elevator down and
dash across (or do some more fighting with the centaur) to open the
purple door. Inside, you can go up the stairs to do more fighting with
the centaur from an awkward angle (and see the other side of the drop
down into the alley where two mutant soldiers were), or you can go around
the stairs and out the other side into the yard with the mushroom and the
kidney-shaped pool. You can go to the right to pick up some more minigun
ammo and then go to the left for two more mushrooms and a ladder.
Save. Go up the ladder and follow the tunnel left to the t-junction.
Going left here will get you onto a roof to fight the centaur and jump to
the truck for armor and health pack. At least that's what it looks
like... I could only get there by flying. Maybe you were meant to only
get there if you got blasted by a centaur grenade? Anyway, back at the
t-junction if you go right, you drop down into a car tunnel with all
these cars and all these followers. Plus a beastling and mutant
soldier. At the end of the line of cars is an exit on the left.
Through the s-hallway you find a door. Behind this door is a new street
and the whole mutant zoo you saw at the beginning of the level. Take out
the beastling, phage, and four predators, and note the Hospital entrance
with the green lock. A beastling and predator will attack from the gates
of the zoo, and soon after, a mutant soldier. Inside a phage and a ton
of predators attack. Good luck- you'll need it. Hopefully you can get
the phage to take out several predators but in general you'll just need
to clear out each section of the zoo one by one if you want to kill them
all. Finally, check out the building on the left in the zoo to see the
last dopefish. Flip the switch and then climb the stairs to get the
green key. Hopefully you know what to do with the green key. Careful
though because one last phage is hiding behind the door, but then you're
finally done!
05: the Hospital
-------------
Climb the boxes and barrels to your right to get to the rooftops, and
then go to the ledge on the west side and follow it south to where the
grenade is sitting. (You can drop down to get some mushrooms if you want
to climb back up the boxes and barrels again.) Then enter the vent on
your right.
Drop down and take out the beastling and the followers in the morgue.
Ignore the elevator behind the shotgun ammo for now and go up the stairs
to the right (north). Inside is a predator below and some followers on
the balcony above. Once they're taken care of, grab the yellow key card
and some health from the dispenser.
Go back to the morgue and take the elevator up. The switch to go back
down will be on your left, and a phage will be on your right and will
start shooting at you if you sit there. Don't try to run into the room
to dodge around and kill it though, because another phage is sitting to
the left in that room waiting for you to make exactly that mistake. Grab
the grenades and ammo in the operation room and hear the sounds at the
window and door with the slit open at the bottom at the southwest
corner. Then go to the south east corner to find the balcony from
earlier, with dead followers and a medkit and other ammo.
On the left in the first room a beastling and follower will leap from
behind sickbed curtains and you can find another medkit and see outside
with more monster sounds. In the second room on the left is a beastling
and some ammo. The third room as you turn the corner (following the
balcony right) is empty, and then there is a small room with grenades
before you go down the stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs are some beastlings and followers. Grab the
ammo and note the open area you can see through the window. Go around
and fight the beastling then go through the left metal detector to
uncover a pair of followers and a dispenser. Grab all the ammo and the
health when you need it, and then continue to find the three phages in
that same open area you found before. You can lure them in and take them
out in the hall, or you can run back to the window and fight them through
it.
Save. In the open area there is a mushroom, armor, and ammo to pick up.
Then by a medkit is the yellow door. Through the door is some ammo, and
a switch. You're clued in that trouble is coming (and where all the
sounds were coming from before) when the wall closes around you as you
approach the switch. Time to pull out a big gun. I found the Entropy
Thrower to be most effective. Activating the switch brings the walls
around you down and suddenly you are surrounded by enemies. Luckily they
are just predators and followers so you can move around and take them out
easily enough. Try to get the followers first since the predators are so
easy to dodge.
Once you've cleared them all out, in front of you you'll see the purple
door. To your left is the outside area you saw before. As you approach
the far door, a trigger releases and OH SNAP! Who let the dogs out! A
plethora of beastlings charge at you! Luckily you can get them to fight
each other and clean them out pretty easily with the grenade launcher or
minigun. Pick up the ammo and open the door on the far end. Inside at
the top of the staircase are two followers and two predators. Wipe them
out then grab the purple key. Try to open the cabinet in the back left
and you will find the secret for this level: some nice armor.
Back at the purple door, inside you get a medkit and a beastling. Make
your way through the hospital beds, fighting two followers along the
way. In the next room you can grab two medkits (scared yet?) and then go
through the door. Here you see your first tripmine. A purple beam
crosses your path with a grenade on the right side on the wall. You can
get up on the ledge but it will still hurt you as you run by. Instead,
take it out from afar with the pistol.
Past the tripmine, some beastlings, a phage, two followers, and a
predator-on-the-roof await you in a street with a car turned on its
side. At the end is an exit sign and a barred gate on the right, and
some explosive barrels and some boxes in front of you. And a switch
which lowers the bars. The bars have mines on them which will quickly be
set off by the phage behind them so be sure to back away after hitting
the switch. Past the phage are a couple more explosive barrels and then
the exit!
06: the Weapons factory
-------------
You start off this level in a test fire chamber, and you are at the bad
end. Quickly exit the room to avoid damage. Down the hall you will find
an elevator. At the top you will find you are on top of the hospital and
there is a big "H" for a helicoptor landing zone. You will also notice
two centaurs across the way. Don't back up too far or you'll fall off.
If you do fall off, you can swim all around the whole level but there
aren't any items to pick up. There is an elevator in the middle, in the
bridge between the two buildings. Fight the centaurs from long distance
and then cross the bridge.
Run around the building, dodging/fighting more centaurs and picking up
armor and Entropy Thrower before getting to an elevator to the next floor
above you. Grab the two health packs and fight three more centaurs as
you make your way to the opposite end of the floor and enter the
building. Inside you learn you are on the 3rd floor (Level 3), grab some
ammo and see a blocked off elevator, and you can see a map of the entire
factory in the office area. Run through there, grabbing health as
needed, and fight a centaur, and find a grenade pack and the switch in
the last office.
Head down to the 1st floor (Level 1) (going up just gets you to a locked
green door), and run around in the area with the open lava tanks and the
centaur on the far end. There is some health to pick up and there are
some switches that mess with the lava levels in the tanks on the right.
Hit the switch when you've defeated the centaur and head through the
door. Here you can hug the wall to avoid the damaging lava and use good
timing to make it through each laser gun firing and big squishing thing.
Around the corner, blow up the explosive crates and grab grenades,
jaunting down the hallway on your left for a supercharge if you like, and
then turn the corner at the end to see the minigun/shotgun room. There
are some grenades to pick up, and a centaur to fight, some ammo and a
secret where you have to be blasted up there by a centaur grenade to get
it (I think) and then an exit at the end. You can run behind a few of
the large traincar-type crates for cover while you fight. In the room at
the end is some ammo on the right, and some pistons that will squish you
if you're not careful.
Save. Continue through the next room which just has a pointless (I think)
switch and then into the main room where you can see the green keycard at
the end. Make your way past the autowallguns and then make the jumps
across to get the card and then jump back to safety and then exit the
room. If you fall you have to just die. When you have the card and you
get back to the previous room you can save again. The door in front of
you should be open.
Update: The author also notified me of something I missed here. The
pillar with the green key on it is actually also an elevator that can
help you back up. Unfortunately it is also the aiming point for the
lasers, so it is not the safest place to hang out :-)
You can nab some armor on the right here, and then keep hugging the wall
to get around all the lava-y pistons. There is an elevator back at the
entrance to the room if you fall off. Grab the two health packs and flip
the switch for a quick route back to the elevator so you can use your
green keycard up on the 7th floor (Level 7). Through the hallway and out
onto the ledge (you should probably save here) you'll find yourself in a
circular room on the roof of the factory, surrounded by centaurs that
can't move. The centaur 1-2 slots to your left has a yellow keycard.
Dodge around, picking up ammo as needed, and when you finally take him
down, run out to grab the card and then come back to the main central
pillar on the other side to find the yellow door and some much needed
health packs.
Inside the yellow door you will drop down and go through some air ducts
until you find yourself on the 5th floor (Level 5) and joy of joys a room
full of tripmines. Not only that, but after you blast away a few of them
to make your way around, you find there are a few centaurs happy to
launch grenades at you and make your life miserable. There are also some
lasers that go through once in a while from some autoguns. On the back
wall towards the leftish you can find another air duct to drop down into.
Drop down a few more times and then find yourself on the first basement
floor, Level -1. There is a purple door here. And some stairs. Which
lead down to, amazingly enough, a room with the purple key in it. And
some other ammo and armor and health. This is all too easy... and you're
right if you think that, because when you grab the purple keycard, a door
opens at the top of the stairs and a centaur comes out to make it less
easy. Fight with all your might and then use the keycard to open the
door with the exit sign on it that is in the room where the centaur
popped out of. Through that door you run down a hallway and make a right
to hit a switch and exit the level. w00t!
07: the underground lab
-------------
As the map on the wall at the end of the last level reminded us, we are
now down in the lowest levels of the weapons factory, namely the
underwater bio-lab. Run out and grab the chaingun (neat water effects!)
while the door closes itself behind you. Behind the box the chaingun was
on, go through the air vents to a room that reminds you that you are on
Level -5.
Pull out your pea shooter and blast the fire extinguisher and the pillar
with the cracks. Then go up the ladder and then drop down and make your
way to the left. Around the corner in the darkness you'll fight some
strange pygmy beastlings, then some more in the main room- these can just
be taken out with your pea shooter as well. Save.
This room has some water in the ceiling which helps light the place. Use
it as your base of operations as you clean out the next room (on the
left). This room has containers with strange alien plants and lots of
pygmies on the floor. There is some chaingun ammo on the left, and the
exit is in the back right corner. You'll hear some growling but you
fight nothing but pygmies for the next few rooms. You can't shoot
anything besides the pygmies either so don't waste your ammo.
In the next room on the right is some ammo and health, and then left of
where you came in is a long hallway with tons of pygmies that all rush at
you when you poke your head out. Explore around and find some more laser
bars and then make your way down the long hallway with glass windows on
the left. At the end you'll find a corner and can get a shotgun, but
there are also tons more pygmies.
Finally in this room you get some light. Walk up to the switch and
suddenly emergency power will be restored and the lights are turned on.
Flip the switch and make your way back out (grab shotgun ammo in the back
too) and go to the last laser bars you encountered, right outside this
room. Some stairs will appear so you can climb back out if needed. Pull
out your shotgun and make your way through the creepy lab rooms and fight
the beastling that attacks from the left in the last room. Then 4 more
will attack in the next room- and you'll find more shotgun ammo as well.
Flip the switch to find more beastlings, and take care to be prepared
before you go into the room with all the orange overgrowth, because the
door closes behind you when you go in.
Climb the growth up into the ceiling and fight another beastling that
comes from the curtain from the left in the airduct. Save.
As you go through the curtain there will be mushrooms on the left and
then a watery room with a mutant soldier in it. There's another mushroom
and a door through which you can kill two beastlings and another mutant
soldier before moving on. Leave the watery room via the air duct on the
left and drop down. Take out the two beastlings and the mutant soldier
from the duct and the drop down into the hallway. You can get an idea of
your path ahead by scouting around at this point. When you are ready, go
forward, note the enemies in the lab rooms through the glass on the
right, and flip the switch. This opens the doors between the lab rooms
below. Now proceed forward, go down the stairs and get the grenades and
shotgun, and battle your way through the three phages and two predators.
It's pretty simple to get them to fight each other, so save some ammo
that way if you can. In the last lab room up the stairs is the switch
that opens the laser bars here and also opens the doors to the main
central room in this area. Save. Go straight or go right and fight the
mass of predators and mutant soldiers in the room. There are more mutant
soldiers in the back rooms. When you are done, grab the ammo and health
and a keycard in the corner office. Then in the outer walls find a
secret in the air vent passage for a supercharge, and finally, the green
door.
In the first room, take out the two phages and enjoy the cinematic by
flipping the two switches and reading the text. Next, follow the orange
tendril and grab the mushrooms on the left. Then shoot the barrels on
the right and make your way through the mutant caves, fighting pygmies
and beastlings. When you come to a junction (the cave on the left that
goes back and around to a predator), you can either kill the predator and
the phages in the pit from above (recommended), or you can go straight
and fight the phages head on. Either way, avoid the mines and flip the
switch down in the pit, then go around and up the stairs and into the
side cave to get to the lip of the cave (star texture here, if you're
counting) and make your way around, shooting the mines to get to the
other side. Grab the two grenades (not the mine!) and enter the cave.
Follow the cave for a few steps then grab the grenades leading to the
right. Defeat the predator and the beastling up on the cliff by the
purple keycard. Go up the stairs in the cloister on the right and fight
the two followers and grab the keycard. You could go all the way back to
the main cave area now but you can also go right and grab a mushroom and
drop down. Both ways lead you to the purple door with a grenade in front
of it to pick up.
In the first room behind the purple door, fight the three followers and
grab the armor (yay!). Through the bars and up the stairs fight two more
followers and grab the map and health. Below are some mutant soldiers
trapped behind glass... drop down and go to the end to get some chaingun
bullets and when you are ready, flip the switch, turn around, and fight
the 4 mutant soldiers. Now go through the garage door on the right that
opened up in the back near where you dropped down (the other one goes
back to a previous area).
Here you find a switch that turns out to be an elevator button- and drops
you right next to some mines and a follower. Take them out and the
follower across the way, and the four phages on the pillars. The floor
here will kill you fast so don't drop down. Once the shock room is
cleared out, proceed out onto the bridge and drop down onto the shards
where the health pack is. Use them and the base of the pillar to make
your way to the air vent in the back right. Once in the duct, go left up
the stairs and fight the mutant soldier, then go into the next room which
is dark and has beastlings attack at the door, and then followers and
predators on a cliff above you. In the dark cliff room on the left is an
elevator which you can take to go to the room exit on the upper right.
In here you fight a phage and six mutant soldiers that popup when you
enter. You can opt to drop down the air duct on the right if you like
(may help get them to fight each other), but in the end you have to go
past them. Now you'll find a beastling around the corner and another
side passage with a beastling in it- and the Exit to the front! In the
Exit area is a train, but you can't leave yet. Back in the side passage,
fight your way through some baddies and flip the switch and then the
console switch, then rush back to the exit to win the level!
08: Airstrip one
-------------
You start off this map on an active running train! Check out the neat
effects and then start making your way through the train. Explosive
crates help make short work of two mutant soldiers, and then a dark
corner makes approaching a third mutant soldier dangerous. Hit the
switch and hop off the train. The next path is on the north wall of the
train tunnel- left if you're facing the front of the train, or right if
you're facing the back. There are three mushrooms on the steps.
Save. Once around the corner you find an water system of some sort. The
only path to take is to go right. Then you come to a half-closed (or is
it half-open?) gate which you can get under. Climb up the steps in front
of you and then to your right to find an opening into some air ducts.
Blast the grate, and drop into a room with a switch and an elevator in
the far right corner. If you've been playing this game at all, you know
you should save here.
Opening the windows reveals a large area which will likely be empty.
There is a door on the left and a pillar-shaped building and some fires
around the wreckage.
Drop down and scout around. The wreckage appears to be the remains of
what may be airforce one, or maybe just another ship of some kind. You
can't get through the fire wall or the garage. Go to the pillar-shaped
building and flip the switch for some armor. Then go through the door
that was on the left when you first looked out into this area. You
should enter a hallway and find some red beams blocking your path. In
the room behind you/on your right, there is a shotgun and a switch. Use
your pea shooter to break the windows and climb through.
After flipping the switch, go through where the red beams used to be, and
finally you get some action. When you open the door, two followers come
from behind the wall to your left. And in front of you, you get a
beastling and a predator as well. Dispose of them quickly (you can
easily get them to fight each other here), and move out.
There is a purple keypad and a purple key both within sight as you come
out, as well as a few followers up in the building through the two
windows, one of which is near the purple key. Climb the steps after
grenade launching the followers, and take out two beastlings just inside
the building. Pick up some more armor. The door to the right is locked
(of course) so go left. Fight four beastlings and then collect some more
much needed ammo. Take the left door (aka the door straight ahead) and
grab a health pack from the room with the window where you cleared out
some of the followers.
Back track one step and go out the right door from the little hallway
where the four beastlings were. In here you see a crate holding a door
half open, and then a dark hallway beyond it. Through the door you can
take out a follower. In the darkness past the crate, a phage awaits.
Use the shotgun to take it out if you can (you probably can't hold all
the shotgun ammo that's available here anyway), or just blast it with the
minigun if you're low on health.
Save if you like. At the end of the dark hallway is a ladder down. Grab
the shotgun and watch out for the mines lining the floor. Around the
corner are a few followers which will probably succumb to the mine
explosions and drop yet another shotgun. In the hole in the wall ahead
you can see some combat armor. After clearing out the room, go through
the air duct behind the displaced computer terminal to find a shortcut
back to the purple key area, and grab the combat armor to get one of the
secret areas for this level! Back in the room with the displaced
computer terminal, trot up to the windows if you want to start a fight,
and then head into the next room to grab a much needed health pack.
Flipping the switch here opens some stairs down to the room where you
started the fight. Two mutant soldiers, a beastling, and two followers
await you. Clear out the room and head towards the lift at the end of
the room past the two barrels. Two beastlings will drop down and try to
surprise you. You can get them to fight as well.
Save. I mean it this time.
At the top of a lift you have to fight a phage AND a centaur, in full
view, and you are stuck in a corner on a little hilltop. My best advice
is try to dodge as well as you can until the centaur gets close- at which
point the centaur's blasts will hit the hilltop cliff edge instead of
flying up and getting you. The blast radius still extends onto the
hilltop so avoid that edge. Focus on dodging the phage and taking it out
with a minigun or grenade launcher or entropy thrower, whichever you
like, and then finally you can start emptying everything you have into
the centaur. Luckily there are plenty of grenades provided so you should
have enough to finish it now. If that doesn't work for you, an
alternative battle plan is to move off to the left into the cubby hole
behind you. This could make it easier to avoid the centaur while you
focus on the phage, but could backfire if the centaur decides to make its
way around the hilltop.
Save again if you manage to survive without losing too much health and
armor.
Now you finally get to take a look at the big airplane with red laser
bars helpfully preventing you from dropping off into the abyss. The game
obviously wants you to jump on the airplane, but the door is locked. On
the opposite side of the field is a tower with some followers in a
window. Clean them out with some grenades or the entropy thrower, and
then go around behind. Right inside the door is a mutant solder, so use
the minigun or entropy thrower as you approach. Up in the building you
find the green key.
Inside the airplane (or shuttle or dropship or whatever you want to call
it), enter either door and go up the lift- melt the row of five followers
with your entropy thrower and then use the entropy thrower or shotgun to
take out the two phages in the next room. Drop down and flip the switch,
then use the lift to get back up and go through the entryway that is now
open.
Save. In the next room is the yellow keycard and three mutant soldiers.
These are a bit more difficult to get to fight each other, and if you do
get them to fight, one of them might just end up in the chasm below
(which turns out to be the first hallway you were in when you entered the
airplane). You can't get the yellow keycard yet, so jump across and open
the door. Take out the beastling and maybe save again. Around the
corner you find a mutant soldier and two followers. The fire
extinguishers on the walls near you can explode so be careful. Grab the
health pack and then flip the switch. A predator drops down behind you,
but it should be simple to defeat. Now the yellow keycard is accessible
so grab it and leave the airplane. In the northeast corner of the field
you should find the yellow keypad.

When you open the door, two mutant soldiers and two followers come out.
Another follower drops down as you go through the tunnel. Then behind
the slowly-opening door, you fight 4 phages. They are pretty simple to
clear out, but you can lure them in one by one and fight them as they
round the corner in your tunnel.
Down the airstrip you see a neat aircraft of some kind. The door across
the way won't open, so go to the door down behind the aircraft. There is
a shotgun in the corner as well. From that door comes a mutant soldier.
In the room beyond the mutant soldier, you see the room you saw long ago
with the door held half open by a crate. Flip the switch. From the door
back in the airstrip pours two mutant soldiers, and three followers. I
cleaned them up with a sweeping, running, entropy thrower spray, but you
can use whatever you want, e.g. shotgun if you have the patience. Then
there is a beastling in the tunnel behind them. Through the tunnel, open
the door to finally hit the switch that gets you access to the purple
keycard and the grenade pack. The game is nice enough to open the blast
door as well so you can just walk out and pick them up.
Save. Open the purple door and fight the followers inside. Five more
followers and five more phages await you in the last room. This is a
good place for minigun and grenade launcher. The exit is in the back
right corner.
09: the Launch base
-------------
Welcome to the Launch base. Grab the ammo and head into the only other
exit and drop down. Outside the gate you fall into a three-way
junction. Down one is a beastling and down another is a predator. Go
down the path where the beastling was and you'll find a place you can
climb into the wall and pick up some grenades. Continue into the wall
down the dark corridor and fight the mutant soldier on the ledge to your
right. Then fight the follower in the hall on the other end of this
room. When you proceed past that point, a flood of mini-beastlings comes
at you, along with a mutant soldier and a couple of regular beastlings.
Outside of this warehouse, you see a big central area with a lift, and
some doors on the left and in the back. On the right are some stairs.
Note the green keypad as you climb up the stairs and grab the armor and
other goodies from where you fought the mutant soldier on the ledge.
Save. When you hit the switch, about a dozen followers come down with
the central lift. Wipe them out as best you can, dodging away through
the cliff area to your left if you need to. Grab the keycard on the lift
and go through the green door. A mutant soldier is behind it, so be
ready. Then as you step forward you'll drop down and fight a phage in
close quarters, and behind the phage is a corridor filled with followers
and beastlings. At the end of that corrider on the right is the yellow
door. Left of that yellow door is an open room with beastlings and
followers and a phage to fight. Before going behind the counter though,
you can finish cleaning out the corrider with the yellow door. At the
end of it as it curves around you'll be able to clear out a beastling, a
phage, and then a follower and two mutant soldiers through the barred
window if you like.
Behind the counter in the mess hall is a follower and a kitchen with two
mutant soldiers that you can get to fight each other. In the corner is a
beastling behind the door and the yellow keycard. Head back to the
yellow door.
Save. Behind the yellow door is a game room with a pool table and a card
table and a bar. Fight the three mutant soldiers and two followers, and
then hop behind the bar and into the air duct. Grab the grenades in the
air duct and then drop down back into the hallways with the arches.
Continue straight forward and down the stairs to find a room with a giant
rocket prepared for launch. Behind the rocket is a phage on a platform,
along with a health pack and a switch. Flipping the switch opens another
pathway and releases two beastlings at you.
Save. Go forward to the lift and ride it up. You'll notice there's some
ammo on the lift, and for good reason. There are two phages at the top
and no good places to hide. Circle around and blast them with minigun or
enthropy thrower and fall back to shotgun if you run out of ammo. You
could do grenades when you reach the top as well, but you'll have to
quickly switch because there is not very much room. Pick up the ammo and
fight the follower that pops out, then flip the switch behind it. This
releases some bars and opens your next pathway which is back across the
lift you came up on. This puts you in an area with a rocket shuttle
ready to launch. On the right, in the southeast corner, is a panel that
opens when you flip the switch in this room, revealing a follower ready
to shoot you in the back. Flip the switch and quickly turn around to
deal with the follower, then jump down the duct in that corner room.
Don't leave the air duct yet.
Save. Pull out a big gun. When you drop down, the door with the bloody
handprint on it in front of you will open, and release three mutant
soldiers, miniguns blazing. It also spawns a predator to the back
right. You can use the hallway to the left as a safe place to fall back
if needed.
Down the hall where the mutant soldiers came from, watch the neat
circular door effect as you approach, and then dispatch the phage in the
room beyond it. Be careful not to drop into the room on the left as you
fight, since that will hurt you pretty bad. Up the stairs are two mutant
soldiers and some ammo. Flip the switch on the wall near the top of the
stairs when you are ready. This starts a sequence of switches you can
flip. Arm all four missiles, and then hit the final switch to launch
them off. This also opens a bridge across the shock floor behind you, so
go back down the stairs to cross that. A mutant soldier is across the
way as you go. On the other side, an opening to the left reveals a
beastling to fight at close range, and then there is a follower behind
the mutant soldier. The side path behind the beastling gets you a
grenade and a health pack. Back down the main path, you'll find a room
with a blast in the wall and some mutant soldiers in the room to the
right.
Save. Clear out the monsters and pick up ammo. Careful for the shock
floor. When you enter the room that the mutant soldiers were in, the
central pillar should open up to reveal a missile and the purple
keycard. Grab it and take it through the blast in the wall behind you to
open the purple door and go through the red beams. Fight the beastlings
and followers in the room, being careful to avoid/utilize the explosives
and the mines in the area.
You can't get through the radioactive burning door, so flip the switch to
blast through the wall! Stumble through the debris and head towards the
next room. You pick up another health pack and then face a room with a
ton of phages, beastlings and predators. Note that the debris from the
blast in the room behind you will not block the predator's shots, so
dispatch them quickly when they come around the corner. After you
finally clear everything out of this room, grab all the ammo and flip the
switch standing on the left in front of the dropship to lower the
barrier. Clear away the mines and then enter the dropship from the pad
in the back underneath it. Good work!
10: the Radioactive zone
-------------
Make your way down through the cavern and fight the mutant soldier long
distance near where you see the larger version of the mutated trees. You
can go collect the ammo by heading right up the stairs, but to progress
in the game you need to go left down the stairs and along the green
river. Head left down in the ravine (careful for the poison water), take
out the predator in the massive building above you, and then hit the
switch. Ride the lift up and then jump down into... the poison lift.
Take care to ration the health packs as best you can because you have to
dance around on this poison for a long time. As it lifts, it gets even
better, with beastlings and predators at the top trying to finish you
off. Luckily it ends relatively quickly and you can take care of all the
predators from safe ground. On the right side of the U shape that makes
up the top floor here, flip the switch and pick up the health pack. Then
back on the left side you can make a jump for the small alcove towards
the southeast. From that alcove, jump onto the poison water (yes, onto
the poison- anything else and you'll just have to climb all the way up
here again), and into the cave where the poison waterfall is coming
from. There is a ledge you can stand on within the cave. This is what
they call a 'leap of faith' moment. :)
Save. Around the corner is a beastling and a phage, and down the poison
river a ways is a health pack, and a way to get to the beginning area
again if you want to, but it means jumping through the alcove again so
don't do it.
Back where the phage came from, you'll see the mutated tribal city, and
fight some phages. Note the green door and pick up the grenades in the
first room/area, then head left. Here there are two more phages and two
followers. There is also a predator on the left, above the wall. You
might also notice there is the green key as well, but the path there is
blocked by a big skull gate. We'll have to find another way around.
Fight a couple more predators and then in the building here, climb the
stairs and jump to the balcony. You'll meet four followers in the room
at the end of the balcony. It appears to be a church of some kind. Flip
the switch to open the skull door here. Behind the skull door, fight
some mutant soldiers on the wall to the left, and then clear out the room
behind them, which has two phages, a mutant soldier, two predators, and
several followers. Approach the skull door across the path of stones,
and fight the follower behind it. Up the stairs you can grab some ammo
and a health pack. Then continue over to the hallway leading out of the
second floor here. Collect the goodies by the well (but don't drop down
unless you know what you're doing).
Save.
Down the well or over and out into the open area below the curved
platform, you'll find several predators and a phage. If you can get them
to fight each other, they will usually take care of the phage for you.
Once you've cleared them out, approach the door on the lower floor in the
back left and it will open for you. Pick up the health and ammo (shotgun
ammo always seems so plentiful) and then head through the dark
passageway. Take out the two beastlings and fight the predator on the
bridge through the window as well if you like. Flip the switch and head
back through the dark passageway to find that the wall that was on the
right has opened up... IT's A TRAP!
Save. Carefully move forward until the trap springs. The crushing
pillars are not too hard to navigate, but halfway through, a phage comes
around and makes life really difficult. Once you're through, save
again. Steel your nerves, and pick up the health pack, which starts you
lowering down an elevator ride of death. There are several mutant
soldiers and followers here. Once you reach the bottom, you are forced
through a simple maze with lots of booby traps, so be careful. Once you
have navigated the simple maze, the walls will drop and you will be
surrounded by four mutant soldiers. Not fun. If you survive, save and
take the wooden lift out of this deathtrap. At the top you can cross
that bridge you saw through the window before. There are two mutant
soldiers on the other side, along with a health pack and the yellow
door. Open the skull door straight ahead, and you will also be granted
the yellow key. Good work!
Save. Head back a step and go through the yellow door. Fight the phage
down the stairs and then dash across the poison water to the right. Pick
up the ammo and then choose your fate- take the left lift or the right
lift. Both of them have a beastling for you. Head up the lift. Oh
look! You're on the other side of the very first skull door you ever
saw. Flip the switch and grab the green key. Head through the wall and
to the right to find the green door again.
Save. Pick up the plethora of grenades. Scout around the dark chamber
nervously. Look at the wall slide shut behind you. Scout the dark
chamber even more nervously. On the right, when the path turns the
corner, you'll find a whole gaggle (flock? murder?) of predators. This
place is a death trap with all the blocky pillars, so fight carefully.
On the far end of the chamber, you'll find a switch. When you flip it,
two predators pop in behind you. Defeat them and then on the opposite
side of the chamber on the inner wall, you'll find a new passageway.
Gather the health and grenade packs, and then walk across the bridge to
the pressure plate switch. This opens the wall where the previous switch
was, and releases a beastling. Make your way back there, make short work
of the beastling, and then clear out the next area if you haven't
already. Here you'll see a switch in front of two rows of flames and two
ominous pillars.
Flipping the switch drops some stairs into the inner sanctum. Walk
across the foreboding three-eyed face on the floor and enter the far
hallway to exit the level.
11: Echidna
-------------
The final level. What will we find in the heart of the mutant lands?
You start out on the top of an entry way, surrounded by 5 or 6
followers. Grab the ammo and fight them however you like. I went left
first. After you have cleared them out, go through the teeth. (The
passageway on the right is a way to get back here if you fall down
later. There is nothing to find that way right now.) Try to preserve as
much of your ammo as you can until you hit the next big fight.
At the top of the elevator, fight the two phages and then pick up the
rewards in the corners. Continue forward through the wooden door. There
you will find a beastling, a predator, and a phage, backed by some mutant
soldiers through some windows on the right.
Down the stairs you'll find some phages and beastlings to fight, and a
green door. Just to the right of the green door is an entry way to the
next area. Through the dark passage you'll find a predator and then a
slew of followers all around this level of the building (watch your left
side as you fight). Grab the key, note the strange centaur figure in
the center, and head back to the green door.
Save. Through the green door, you find another slew of followers, and a
predator on the side. Fight through some more followers and flip the
switch. This lowers some bars in the poison water below you. Grab the
health just above the poison water, and then Save.
Saved? Okay. This is a really hard part. Rush in, and when you reach
the second step where the grenade launcher is, the centaur will be
released. This is a very bad and very hard situation to be in. You can
try to fight in here with the grenade launcher (ouch), or you can dodge
and immediately run back out and head back up to the second level to
fight the centaur from there. Entropy thrower and minigun are both great
here, but grenades will just hit the ledge.
Once you have defeated it, grab the health pack and flip the switch
behind where the centaur jumped out. This opens a small door in the back
left, where a phage pops out. Climb up the stairs and fight the
beastlings, and pick up the ammo and health packs. Continue along the
path and go down the corridor to the right. Fight a phage and a
beastling, and two followers around the corner in the dark. In the
alcove to the right (across from the followers), is two paths. The left
one takes you to a dead end where you can grab some ammo. The right one
takes you up some stairs to a room with a phage and two doors. The one
on the right requires the yellow keycard. The one on the left opens into
a big area with a centaur in the middle. Grab the ammo and go to work.
This fight is really hard too. I used all my grenades and the entropy
thrower. Keep speed circling and you can survive. If you fall in, you
will likely die since there are tons of mines from the centaur, and it is
poison. There is a lift on the left, if you don't find yourself dead or
bounced out from a grenade first.
Grab the key, pat yourself on the back, and save.
Through the yellow door (it looks green on my computer), fight the
mini-beastlings, mutant soldiers, and the predator. Drop down and fight
the beastling, and head down the hallway. There is a secret door here on
the left wall as you face the hallway out of the room. It has some ammo
and health to pick up.
Down the hallway, fight some baddies and the followers in the room to the
left behind them. That room has a purple keycard and a lift. The key is
straight ahead out on the balcony. Grabbing the purple key unlocks a
couple of shortcuts that you can seek out if you like. When you're
ready, save and go through the purple door.
Kill the two beastlings and drop down. Make your way through the dark
passage, and then grab up all the ammo. You could also opt to save
here. Grab the super mushroom and then flip the switch.
Several beastlings and mini-beastlings come out at you from behind.
Clean them up and then go out the way they came in. When you drop down,
stay behind the pillar and take out the predators. Then you can finally
face the mother of all mutants herself. Note that this creature does not
get stun locked by the minigun. Dodge around the pillars and stairs and
unload everything you have. If you are out in the open too long, she
will unload her miniguns on you and that hurts a lot. This is the last
fight, so go ahead and burn through your minigun ammo and then finish her
with the entropy thrower.
Once you have defeated the final monster, you can find one secret in the
back wall with a message from the creator. To end the level and get your
final score, go forward and up the stairs and through the gate.
That's it! Read the ending text and check out the awesome end picture
and congratulate yourself on a job well done.
Thank you for reading this walkthrough! I hope you enjoyed it.
