Fate Hollow Ataraxia is a follow up to the Hugely popular Game
Fate/Stay Night(FSN).It Belongs to the Genre of Visual Novels and
cater to a Much smaller Fan-base than what most other gaming Genres
enjoy. Unlike its more successful predecessor, Fate Hollow Ataraxia
is set in a much more Pleasant, Positive and (mostly) funny
atmosphere and is set after about 6 months past the events of
Fate / Stay Night. The Story-Line Does NOT follow directly from any
of the 5 Endings of Fate / Stay Night however which can cause quite
a bit of confusion when starting to play. Basically, information
gained from all 5 endings of FSN, but with none of the Characters
other than Kotomine- ( <-Thats the fake priest) dead. Unlike most
other Visual novels, Fate Hollow Ataraxia proceeds through the game
by letting the User Choose Locations to go through in addition to
choices. The game is set between a period of 4 days - From
8th October to 11th October. Due to certain circumstances in the
story, after the 4 day -cycle is over, It restarts again from the
First day. (REMEMBER that the Flags are kept). This can be quite
a bit frustrating for the players beginning the game, and trying to
follow the story, and does take a bit getting used to. The reason's
for why this is done, and what exactly s happening is explained in
the later phases of the story. An official English Patch has not
yet been Released by Type-Moon, but the folks at Mirror-moon are
working to get an English Patch out. As of this date, the patch
that they have released is 70% complete. Link to that is provided

1.2 About This Guide [ATGD] |

This guide is written to help people to get fully Complete the game-
Fate Hollow Ataraxia. Its specially meant for Completionists, and
I presume it should help others tryig to get through the game in
atleast some small way. After I realised that there was a follow Up
story done by Type Moon for Fate / Stay Night, I immediately got
Fate / Hollow Ataraxia, and set up my Pc to play it. (It does not
Run on Normal English Windows XP systems as the game was designed
with the Japanese-Language design systems-> Hence you have to use
something called AppLocale. - I won't write on how to Install the
game, and AppLocale. Theere are enough guides on Youtube and the
rest of the Internet for that. Try-Hongfire.
Anywho, after I started with the game, I realised the game pattern
was not the typical Format for the game. Also when I did complete
the game, it said that I've only completed 93.4% of the game,
which Irked me as I have a Completionist attitude also.
When I searched online for any Guides on the game, I was aghast to
see that there did not exist a Single walkthrough/ guide for this
particular game in English. (On some Forum I did read that there
were guides for this game in Japanese-> but that didn't exactly
help me). Hence after 1 Or 2 months after playing through the
game, and Since I was Bored of studying, I realised that I might
as well write the guide Myself, to help out any fellow gamers. And
This is the Final Result. :D
This is technically my first guide EVER, seeing that another guide
that i was wrriting -A detailed approach to HALO-Combat Evolved
Legendary Mode got destroyed when I formatted my PC (That too it
was close to compelteion.) :'(

I'm a fellow Gamer, who mostly plays strategy games like DotA2,
Warcraft3(NOT WoW), Plants Vs Zombies, C&C Red Alert series etc. Also
sometimes common FPS games like HALO, COD,etc. Then RPGs like
Diablo, Dungeon Siege 2, Pokemon etc. I read a LOT of books
especially Fantasy. This guide itself would have come up a month
earlier if I had not got hooked to the series A Song of Ice and Fire
- By George R.R. Martin. I love to play Football, hang out with my
friends, Listen to Music (<3 LP), Eat (I can't seem to gain wieght
and I'm under-weight however much I eat. TT_TT ).And last and Most
Important (To me atleast) - My Identity.

Q. Is This game a Sequel to Fate / Stay Night?
A. IMO its more of a Follow-up than a Sequel, but technically it
is.
Q. How Big is this Game?
A. If you skip the game by pressing Control throughout, you should
probably be able to finish the game in 2-3 hours. If you sit and
try to read as much of it as you can then, its gonna take quite
a Few days. So you be the Judge.
Q. Is there any kind of xXx action in this series as it was there in
Fate / Stay Night?
A. In the Main Game there are two scenes with xXx action. The rest
of it has been added probably as Fan-service under the section
of Eclipse.
Q. What Do you mean by xXx action?
A. Those would be the scenes where Vin Diesel may have made
comments about.
-To know more, Google the terms "Vin Diesel xXx the Movie".
Q. Why can't I seem to Install this game Properly?
A. Thats because the game was programmed to be installed on
Japanese computers only.
-To fix that you have to install a nifty software-fix called
AppLocale.
-I've provided a Link in the Link sections to a good guide on
how to install and play the game using AppLocale.
Q. Are there any more games in this series?
A. None on the PC i believe, but I think I've heard of a game on
either the PSP or the 3DS of the Name Fate: Shin Megami
Tensei: Persona.
Q. Are there any English patches out for this game?
A. None as of 25th February,2012 that are complete, But the folks
over at Mirror Moon are working to get out an English Patch for
this game. As of now it is 70% complete.
Q. Where can I get the English patch for this game?
A. A link has been provided in the Links section to give the
english patch.
-note that ^ this patch is as of now, not really complete so
there is quite a LOT of Japanese text still in the game.
Q. I've found a certain mistake/ improvement to this guide, How do i

Q. Is there a way to Quit the game without saving?
A. Press Control+Alt+Del (For Windows machines), Go to the
Processes tab and right click on the FateFD.exe process and
click on End Process option.
-Note:- ^This can Possibly Screw up you game, So if you do
use it, then take heed of the Risks.

3 Tips [TIPS] |

-In sticky situations with the map Location selection, when you don't
want to choose any Option from that time, Click the Arrows on
the top of the Screen that looks something like this
>>Afternoon>> >>Next Day>>
-Copy the Folder fateha_savedata to a different location after each
Phase is done as well as on the ticket at the Entrance of the
game, so that if you screw up at some point, you can always
revert back to an older savestate. Doing this, you will only
loose a small bit of time, rather than having to replay the
entire thing right from the Prologue 1.
-Note:- I've had quite a few occasions where I've been Unable to
access the Tohsaka Scene for Eclipse. I'm not sure what all
the Criterion for accessing it are.
So I advice you to choose the ![Ask Tohsaka for Advice]
option on the First night itself. And then to only Choose the
Option [Go to Shinto] with Tohsaka only AFTER you choose the
[Go to the pool] option. I will update this after I find what
exactly I'm doing wrong. If you do as said above, I believe
You shouldn't have any problems with recieving the Tohsaka
Eclipse Event.
-note:- If you don't know. Pressing the control button on your PC will
Speed up the game. That will definitely help the people who
just want to obtain the 100% mark and don't even feel like
reading. Also helpful for all those fully Japanese parts in
the non-completed translation pack.

Shirou Emiya - The main Protagonist of the story. After being rescued
from a Fire by his Foster Father-Kirisugu Emiya, This
has no qualms in helping people out-whatever it may be.
One hell of a Cook, (Also mentor to Sakura in this
field). As a Magi has skill in only the field of
Projection. You will be playing in his shoes for the
entire ride of the game.
Saber - Emiya's Servant, and the General fan Favorite for the
series. Higly skilled with her Sword -Excalibur and
possessing what seems a single Target nuke as her
Noble Phantasm. Higly Loyal to Shirou and perfers to
fight only honourably. She seemingly has very little
sense of normal etiquette and and an un-natural
appetite. Blonde and Childish (Designed so because of
her back-story).
Sakura - Sakura Matou, foster sister to Shinji Matou and Master
of the servant Rider. Icon of Humility and possesses
the best body shape amongst the female Cast of the
game. Loves to cook and has a HUGE crush on Shirou.
An Apprentice magi with a very Dark past (revealed in
the alternate endings of Fate / Stay Night). Slightly
possessive in-nature (imo). Present Archery Range
captain and skilled in various Fields. Also the
present acting area representative for the Magic
Association.
Rider - Servant to Sakura and the all-round beauty queen
amongst the females in the game. Generally very
reserved. Loves to read books and has an appetite for
Speed. moderately skilled in magic and would use any
means necessary to win a Fight. She has very low
self-esteem however due to her aversion to mirrors,
her upbringing and due to Sakura's inhibitions.
Dutiful, generally mature and very good-looking.
Tohsaka Rin - Master to the Servant Archer.At the start of the game
She is supposedly at the London HQ of the Magic
Association. She is the mentor to Shirou in terms of
magic. Has a bossy and Miserly nature and loves to
play Pranks, although to the general public she acts
the reserved honour student. She fills the slot of
beauty-with-Brains but always manages to goof up
nonetheless. She is considered the most magically
skilled in the human though and is the mentor to
Shirou in this Field.
Lancer - Servant to the now Dead fake Priest -Kotominei Kirei.
Has a care-free and easy going nature with an
alternate name of Cu Chulainn. Highly skilled with
his Lance - the Gae Bolg, whose Noble phantasm is to
always pierce the heart. Loves fishing and making fun
of people but has his qualms about hurting women.
Ilya - Thats short for Ilyasviel Einzburn. She is supposedly
from Germany and loves to boss people around. Highly
childish (Since she is a child), and loves to play
games. SUPER -DUPER rich master to super powerful
Berserker though she herself is a
Very highly skilled in magic and has no quams at all
of killing / hurting people.
Archer - Servant to Rin. Extremely skilled in the arts of
Projection. His real identity is revealed in the
Unlimited Blade Works endings in Fate / Stay night.
He has a certain issue with the protagonist and
perfers Shirou dead. highly intelligent and uses
all means necessary to achieve his means.
Caster - The Most skilled Magic user around. Servantand wife
to Kuzuki Sensei, and terrible at house-hold duties.
Supposedly the best-looking character in the entire
game. She is also the master to the assassin Kojiro.
She does not mind using any tricks to win, but
presently she has settled down. True name -Medea.
Kuzuki - Kuzuki sensei called as Soichiro-sama by his servant
and wife Caster. A strict no humour fellow who lives
in the Ryudo temple and does what needs to be done
and absolutely nothing else. An exttremely good
hadn-to-hand fighter and a very good Teacher.
Yukika - Yukika Saegusa is a soft-spoken auburn haired girl
who is Shirou's classmate. Part of the female-trio
and is nearly always with the other three. Highly
good-natured.
Makidera - Makidera Kaede, also known as the Black panther.
A skilled athlete and very-boyish. Part of the
female-trio and loves to bully people. She is
easily scared though. :|
Himuro - Himuro Ayako is the Gray-haired female from the
female -trio. She loves to solve mysteries
and linking people as couples. The supposed
medium between Yukika and Makidera in the female
trio. She boasts of starting the most longest and
most pointless episode in Eclipse.
NOTE:- She is also the Character that i HATE the
most in this series. >:(
Mitsuzuri - She is a female friend of Shirou and was the previous
Archery Range Captain. Highly competitive and
acceptably good-natured. She has a brother who has
Crush on Sakura.
Issei - Ryudo Issei is the son of a the Ryudo Temple Priest.
He is the Head of the Student council and an honour
student. highly religious and a good friend to Shirou
though he has qualms about women, specifically Rin.
he also has an elder brother Reikan Ryudo.
Fujimura - Fujimura Sensei also known as Taiga was a friend of
Shirou's Foster father and acts as an elder sister
to Shirou. Has a Huge appetite and acts slightly
childish but is considered a very good teacher.
She is a complete free-loader at the Emiya house
though and loves to poke fun at others.
Kojiro - Servant to the Servant Caster. Considered the worst
Servant from the lot. He practices the Samurai style
of sword-play and is a complete smooth-talker.
More-or-less denounced to the position of Temple
Gate guardian.
Gilgamesh - A Servant of the now dead, Kotominei Kirei. He was
summoned during the holy Grail war from Kiritsugu's
time. A hlaf-god half-human King who boasts of
possessing the original Designs of every single
Noble Phantasms used by every Servant. he is of
class archer though as his Main attack is to
throw a large no of those Noble Phantasmsat his
Target. A very Powerful servant to say the least.
Shinji - The sole true heir to the Matou blood-line. He is
a spoilt brat. He is generally highly arrogant
but that is mainly to mask his sense of having
close to zero self-respect. Generally a complete
looser, though a skilled a womaniser in his School.
Its a wonder that he has not been promoted to
stardom as an Internet meme Super-star. (IMO)
Berserler - An EXTREMELY powerful servant of Ilya. Has 12 lives
as his Noble Phantasm. Powerful in all respects
but has lost his senses by achieving the class of
berserker. Has screen-time of only 2 Screens. :|

Note:- The Sections below will Have SPOILERS for the game Fate/Hollow
Ataraxia AND its Prequel -Fate / Stay Night. Choose as you
may, You have Been WARNED!!!
Note2:- These are the symbols Used to classify certain peroperties of
the respective Event.
(!) - This is an Important event in the game and is marked
in-game by the exclamation mark - (!) over the
location Character and beside the Choices.
- - This symbol is used to symbolise an empty Character
over the Location to be choosed.
>> - This Symbol is used when the time is better to skip
using the Skip to Another Day OR the Skip to the
Afternoon / Night Choices are to be taken generally
on the top right of the Location map Screen.
[ ] - This symbol is used to just to show that the text
between them is a choice rather than a Location.
Follow the game using these exact choices and you will surely get
the 100% mark. These options are how I got to the 100% mark.
It is totally possible to get the same by using another method.
heck This might not even be the fastest method. But I guarantee
that this method works.

I've written this section to give a much more details of specific
events. This should get more and more updated as I get more
information. Should be done up soon after the 100% translation is
out.
Note2:- These are the symbols Used to classify certain peroperties of
the respective Event.
(!) - This is an Important event in the game and is marked
in-game by the exclamation mark - (!) over the
location Character and beside the Choices.
- - This symbol is used to symbolise an empty Character
over the Location to be choosed.
>> - This Symbol is used when the time is better to skip
using the Skip to Another Day OR the Skip to the
Afternoon / Night Choices are to be taken generally
on the top right of the Location map Screen.
[ ] - This symbol is used to just to show that the text
between them is a choice rather than a Location.
* - This symbol is used to signify that the respective
event will skip the game to the next phase after
which you will most probably be not able to
access some of the older events.
~ - This symbol is used to show that the event appears
later on in the phase after some other events
have been completed.

Note:- Translation Problems in the Mirror Moon Patch (as of
24th Feb, 2012) where a Game Error occurs (Atleast on my Pc)
begins from this Phase. For those Parts, REMEMBER to Delete
the File Patch.xp3 (Don't forget to keep a Copy before
deleting)From the Fate/Hollow Ataraxia Folder. Play through
the Game for that particular Section with complete Japanese
characters. Then Quit and Copy back the Patch.xp3 file into
the game Directory and continue playing.
Note2:- The Eclipse episodes start getting Unlocked from this Phase.
After an Eclipse episode is unlocked (probably mentioned as
EX Block) continue Playing till end of Day 4. After which
remember to play them. Quitting the game will make you start
the game from Day1 again. (Don't worry, all Flags (events
that you have gone through) are Kept-so there isn't any
real Loss).

Note:- I've had quite a few occasions where I've been Unable to access
the Tohsaka Scene for Eclipse. I'm not sure what all the

And then to only Choose the Option [Go to Shinto] with Tohsaka
only AFTER you choose the [Go to the pool] option. I will
update this after I find what us the exact criterion for
Unlocking the Tohsaka Episode in Eclipse. Till then using
the above method should work.

If you've Completed all the events Mentioned above in the Charts, then
Congragulations on achieving a 100% in the game. If you
somehow Missed the mark, Tough luck. Most probably you've
missed an event or two mentioned in the above Chart.I know
(from personal Experience) that its probably gonna be
Frustrating. The above Chart has been verified to be Correct
on all the No. of events in the Game. It may not be fully
correct though on the circumstances on unlocking certain
Events.- That will be verifiable by me (maybe a Japanese
knowing person or atleast one using the Atlas software could
do it) only after the full Translation patch is out.
