This Guide is a Guide for all weapons and associated information of the
Ubisoft Game, Far Cry 2. It is a sandbox game, a go-anywhere, do-anything
game in the respect of GTA, but less controversial and flexible. The game
has two districts separated into North (Leboa-Sako) and the South
(Bowa-Seko). You have been sent to a war torn unnamed African nation to find
and eliminate a weapons dealer named the Jackal. The Jackal has been
supplying the two rival factions in the country, the UFLL and the APR.
If you find something missing, please contact me via email. If this Guide
helps, or you just enjoyed it, recommend it to all your fellow players,
using the Recommend link on the banner at the top. This is my first guide,
but have been a user of a few years, and am ready to upgrade from lurker
status.
Arms dealer missions unlock new weapons for you to then go purchase.
Unlocking a weapon does NOT mean you then own it. I got this wrong the first
time, I'm human...
To complete an arms dealer mission, you must destroy a convoy. An
explosive-type weapon will be the best weapon for this task, and I suggest
the M-79 Grenade Launcher until you get the MGL-140. KAA-BOOM!
To accept a mission, go to any of the weapons shop when you have no current
mission. Talk to the arms dealer inside. Four of the Arms missions are in the
north, and the other four are in the south.
If the dealer doesn’t appear, either you have a current mission (Push START
to check) otherwise, you've finished the current area’s missions.
Once a weapon has been purchased from the computer, fetch it from the weapon
shed (next door), and there will be an endless supply of brand spanking new
weapons.

!!!NOTE!!!
The gold weapons are simply a golden AK47. It has no value, it is a weapon.
A Gold-Plated weapon, but a weapon none the less. I've heard it never
fails, but a normal AK47 is so reliable anyway, there was no motivation

Deadly, but needs very intimate range, and stealth, which is not Far Cry 2's
style. If you hit a guy, he will scream immediately, alerting his friends.
They won't have seen you, but they know you're there.

this weapon is merely quieter than the rest. And it won't kill your target
with ease

materials to be effective
Availability: Whole Map
Info:
Most common mounted weapon in the game, and the only one available in
Leboa-Sako (North). Not very powerful, but fires very fast.
Overheats fast, long before you can explode another Jeep, so aim for the
mercs. Same sounds as the SAW Special Weapon.
Availability: Bowa-Seko
Info:
Slower than the SAW, but incredibly dangerous. Will destroy a Jeep fairly
quickly, and gives a satisfying THUMP when fired (If you got a subwoofer)
It's exclusive to the south district
Availability: Bowa-Seko
Info:
Highly effective grenade launcher against Mercs and vehicles, but hard to
aim due to its range (FAR!). Fires slowly though.
Also exclusive to Bowa-Seko.
Q: Is there a way to check the name of a weapon that you have just picked up?
A: To my knowledge, no. The best way I know of is to check its shadow
against the weapons in [START], Upgrades, and then select a weapon and look
at the shadow vs. the one you picked up
Q: Is the Camouflage really useful, and when should I buy it?
A: The Camo is not immediately noticeable, but is absolutely vital. I don't
think anyone will manage without it in the later game. Buy it ASAP!
