Diner Dash: Seasonal Snack Pack is an offshoot of Diner Dash: Hometown Hero.
While it has the exact same gameplay mechanics of the latter game, it does
feature five brand new restaurants with a few altered features. In a manner
similar to Hometown Hero, Flo visits five different locations around her
hometown throughout the year and serves customers to get the restaurants back
on their feet. These include a waterpark, a haunted mansion, a farm during
harvest, snowy mountains, and a romantic restaurant.

For those of you who are new to Diner Dash... there are some tips in the
chapter “Before You Start” on how to get the most out of every shift. Because
this game plays exactly like Diner Dash: Hometown Hero, it’s very helpful to
have played it first. Unlike Hometown Hero and other previous Diner Dash
games, the game doesn’t gradually increase in difficulty; some levels of the
first restaurant are just as tricky as ones near the end.
If you have any questions about the guide, feel free to send me a private
message on my GameFAQs account (sheepman23) or post a thread on the message
board for this game.
- Story Mode: This will begin the regular game which consists of 50 levels.
- Endless Shift: Once you reach restaurants in the Story Mode, you will
unlock restaurants for Endless Shift. Endless Shift consists of a never-ending
stream of customers that gradually get more impatient as the shift goes on;
however, you can upgrade your restaurant numerous times to keep up with the
crowds.
- Flo’s Closet – This allows you to change Flo’s clothes. You’ll unlock more
clothes as you go through each restaurant (unfortunately, you don’t get all of
the ones from Hometown Hero).
- Get More Diner Dash – check out some other Diner Dash games.
- Change Player: Change to a different player.
- Options: Adjust the volume levels. There are 2 different types, sound and
music. Turn the “Sound” bar up to hear sounds like food cooking, customers
ordering, happiness boosting, customers appearing, and food/dessert being
served. Turn the “Music” bar up to hear more of the restaurant’s music. You
can also mute all sound or change the screen around.
- Quit: Quit the game.
Although it’s not listed in the menu, the “Help” section can be used in the
Pause Menu. It can be very helpful for new players.
This is pretty much how it works with Diner Dash. Each of the steps below is
separate, and everything is required to do in order for the customers to leave
with tipping. If you chain actions together, you can earn more points, though.
For instance, if you chain 2 checks, you’ll earn 50 points for the first one,
and 100 more points for the second, and if you keep chaining, each one adds on
another 50 points, so for a third chain, you’d get another 150 points. If you
chain orders, you’ll get 20 points for the first, 40 points for the second, 60
for the third, etc.
Seat customers (X points depending on colors)
Take order (20 points – order chain)
Drop order at ticket rack (order chain)
Pick up food (food chain)
Serve food (30 points – food chain)
Give check (50 points – check chain)
Clear dishes (40 points – dish chain)
Drop dishes at dish rack (dish chain)
All of the below actions are optional. Note that customers request snacks
randomly, dessert if they’re really happy at the end of their meal, and the
mop if they spill drinks.
Pick up snack(s) (snack chain)
Serve snack (100 points – snack chain)
Pick up mop (mop chain)
Mop up mess (30 points – mop chain)
Pick up dessert (dessert chain)
Serve dessert (80 points – dessert chain)
Well... that’s about all of the things to do with regular service. As in Diner
Dash 2,3, and 4, though, you have to be careful, because customers can get
angry with other customers. Cellphone addicts are always noisy, families are
noisy when unhappy, teenagers are always noisy unless they’re flirting, and
lovebirds kiss randomly. All customers except for families, joggers, cellphone
addicts, lovebirds, and teens don’t like kissing or noise. More of this will
be described in “Customer Types.”
This section shows the basic things to know about each of the customer types
in the game – how they tip, their patience levels, and how fast they eat. For
the tipping counts, “customer addition” means that if you have 2 customers of
that type, then that’s one customer addition. A single customer will give a
maximum tip of whatever is told, but customer additions will add on to the
maximum tip.
It should be noted that in the Crypt Café, you’ll encounter Vampires
(Cellphone Addicts) and Zombies (Lovebirds). Although these characters have
slightly different appearances, they behave in the same manner as the
characters listed in parentheses.

The equipment is almost exactly the same as Hometown Hero. There are a few
additions, but other than that it is almost exactly the same.
Drink Station
****************
Whenever a drink station lights up, you can serve drinks from it to any group
that looks like they need a mood burst. Drinks give 1 and a half hearts of
happiness, so use them wisely. Note that in restaurants 1, 2, and 4, you’ll
have the option to upgrade your drink station at different points. The first
upgrade will make it give drinks more often, the second will make it give a
bigger happiness boost. Here are the different drinks per restaurant:
- Lemonade (Waterpark)
- Pumpkin Juice (Crypt)
- Apple Cider (Harvest)
- Egg Nog (Winter)
- Cocktails (Romantic R.)
Highchairs
************
Give highchairs to families so that the baby won’t make noise. The moms &
babies group will need double highchairs, but the highchairs won’t fit unless
they sit at a 4-top table. Highchairs do not fit at the bar, either.
Mop
*****
If a family spills their drinks, use the mop to clean up the mess. Also, in
levels where shaking is a challenge, use the mop to clean up messes when the
restaurant shakes. Mopping is very chainable, so try to always chain it
whenever possible. The mop will stay in Flo’s hand until she cleans up all of
the messes if there are more than one.
Podium
*********
Stand at the podium until the heart fills up to give everyone in line a good
happiness boost. Unfortunately the podium fills up slower than it did in the
previous two Diner Dash games, but it’s still a very useful tool. You will
have the opportunity to upgrade the podium in some restaurants. The first
upgrade makes it fill up faster, the second makes it give a bigger happiness
boost and be able to use more often.
Dessert Station
******************
If a group requests dessert after their regular meal, then always try to serve
it to them. Customers must be really happy to request it, though. You can also
drop their check if things are too busy, but try to never do this unless
you’re forced to. Joggers never request dessert, just so you know. Oh, and one
very annoying thing about dessert; you cannot pick up dessert unless there is
demand. This means that although one group may request dessert, you can only
pick up one of the, and only one, unlike in Diner Dash 2. If two parties
request it, though, you can pick up two. These are the different desserts for
each restaurant.
- Cookies (Waterpark)
- Pumpkin Pie (Crypt)
- Chocolate Pie (Harvest)
- Fruit Cake (Winter)
- Cherries Flambe (Romantic R.)
Snack Station
****************
If a group requests snacks at any time during their meal, always do your best
to serve some to them. Snacks are very profitable, but if you wait too long to
serve them, the customers will get angry and won’t want it anymore.
Fortunately, if the customers get angry, then the snacks go into the trash
automatically without you having to go over there. These are the different
snacks per restaurant:
- Chili (Waterpark)
- Candy Corn Pops (Crypt)
- Cranberry Sauce (Winter)
- Caviar (Romantic R.)
Bench
********
When you have the bench you can seat customers that are waiting in line at it,
but only one group, and once they’re seated, you can’t take them off unless
you seat them to eat. The bench gives a 1/2 heart happiness boost.
Flowers
**********
Before customers are seated at the table, you can place flowers on it. Flowers
give 100 points if customers sit at the table with them, so they’re very
profitable. However, you have to pick up the flowers and place them at the
tables BEFORE anyone is seated. Don’t worry a lot about this if the customers
in line are getting angry, but try as best you can, especially if you’ve got
the podium. The flowers will have different appearances in the Crypt Café and
Romantic Rendezvous restaurants, but they still function the same way as
normal flowers.
Fireplace
***********
In the Winter Wonderland restaurant, there will be a pile of logs near the top
of the restaurant, next to the fireplace. When this pile of logs lights up,
you can click on it to put them in the fire and provide a happiness boost to
any tables that are near the fireplace.
Staff Phone
*************
In the final restaurant of the game, you will have the opportunity to use a
phone to call in a helper once per shift. You can either call in Quinn to
stand at the podium for a certain amount of time, or you can call in her
friend to play piano. Don’t forget about this addition, as it’s extremely
useful to have someone keeping people happy at the podium.
(I copy-and-pasted this section from my Diner Dash: Hometown Hero walkthrough.
Technically there are no new features in comparison to that game, but I
thought that these tips were useful anyhow.)
The biggest one is probably pushing tables together. You’ll do this in quite a
few levels of the game, so get used to it. This is a very easy action to do –
simply take the group of 4 or 6 and drag them between two 2-top tables that
are near eachother, and they’ll automatically push together so you can seat
them there if you want. Realize that this won’t be necessary in a lot of
levels of the game, and some of them don’t even allow you to push the tables
together. You can also do this with a group of six by pushing a 2-top and 4-
top table together.
In some restaurants, you’ll have to train a new waitress. These levels are
sort of like a competition. Here you have to simply earn more points than
your opponent. This is a very easy feat. The expert goal is a little harder,
especially in the last restaurant, because you have to earn a large amount
over your opponent. In the training levels, the waitresses will simply do
things that Flo does when she’s the sole server. She normally doesn’t have
quick reflexes, though. Chaining is very hard to do, except for things like
snacks. Don’t even attempt to use the podium on these levels, there’s little
benefit from it, considering that the waitress can also seat customers.
Remember that you get points from doing things related to attending for the
customers, but also realize that color-matching and placing flowers (both of
which are huge helps) will go towards your goal. Serving drinks does not, only
do it if you really need to.
Obviously, there are a lot of new customer types in this game. They’re all
described above in the “Customer Types” section. Teenagers require strategy,
but if you get this strategy right (you manage to get boys near girls... and
they flirt), then they’re good until you one of the groups leaves. These
groups can also flirt with more than one group. Hungry men aren’t very
abundant, but they’re a big pain when they show up. I recommend not trying to
make a second chain of customers for their second “round.” Celebrities aren’t
that tough to deal with, but they’re impatient, so obviously that’s going to
be a problem. The food critic is also back, and she’ll appear in random levels
of the game. She’s impatient, and she HATES noise. That should tell you enough
about her. The good news is that she’s a great tipper if she’s happy.
One more thing: reservations. Reservations occur in the Romantic Rendezvous
restaurant. If you see a timer beside a table, that means that the table is
reserved to an unknown group. Watch the timer; if it’s very slow, you can
probably seat someone there until they come. If it’s really fast, then DO NOT
seat anyone there. Why? The customers with the reservation will be a lot more
impatient in line. I say that is probably fair. The good news is that you
rarely have to work with reservations.
Well... that’s about everything that’s new. Oh, did I mention that the podium
is slower? That kind of stinks. If you do podium upgrades, it’ll help, but
some of the other upgrades are probably better. Speaking of which, twice in
every restaurant you’ll get to upgrade your equipment. I suggest going with
the running shoes atleast by the second time you get to upgrade.
Well, here’s the main reason why I typed this walkthrough, doing the level-by-
level hints and statistics. For most levels, you probably won’t need a big
strategy table, but I found some of them to be a little difficult, so I’ve
made some.
Because the comics in my game are not compatible with the newer versions of
Adobe Flash Player, I had to delete them in order to actually play the game,
and I couldn’t be bothered to YouTube the comments or simply uninstall my
lastest version of Adobe to see them. As a result, I have no idea what the
story in this game is about, other than Flo goes a bunch of places and fixes
up a bunch of restaurants. Which is great!
For being the first restaurant of the game, the Coral Cove Café is not so
easy. The worst thing about this restaurant is the narrow pathway across the
stream that connects the left and right half, meaning that you always have to
take the long way to reach your customers. I would highly suggest upgrading
your shoes the first time you get a chance to, because the extra speed really
helps with this issue.

If you want, you can use the “Skip Tutorial” button to play the level
regularly, without the assistance from the game. This tutorial is slightly
different from past ones in that the goals are higher and there are more
customers than just three simple groups. It’s still tremendously easy though.
Make sure you match colors and the expert goal is yours.

Goal: 5500 pts.
Expert Goal: 8500 pts.
Upgrades: Counter
Difficulty: 4/10
Tables: 5
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: Family (various types)
New Equipment: Podium, Flowers, Highchairs, Mop
This shift is basically a mix of young ladies and every type of family in the
game. For the families that have a mom, dad, baby, and grandma/son, they’ll
only sit at the four-top table; for everything else, they can be seated at
two-top tables, but keep in mind that this leaves you with no options for
quieting a screaming baby since highchairs won’t fit at the smaller tables.
The good news is that, for this shift, noise from the upper tables won’t
travel to the lower tables. In fact, the only pair of tables where noise
transfers is the pair in the bottom right corner.
Make good use of the podium, chain, and color-match, and this should be a
fairly easy shift.
Level 3

Goal: 8000 pts.
Expert Goal: 11000 pts.
Upgrades: Main Dish
Difficulty: 7/10
Tables: 6
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: Bookworm, Tourists
New Equipment: Chili Station
This shift is annoying for a variety of reasons. For starters, I’m not a fan
of snacks in general because, put simply, they ruin chaining and severely
interrupt your ability to stand at the podium. On the bright side, they are
extremely profitable, especially in chains. Additionally, the layout of the
tables and the bridge in the middle just makes every action feel like an
eternity due to how spread out everything feels. The expert goal requires some
long chains, happy customers that tip well, and precise color-matching.
Anything less won’t get you it.
Because I feel like it’s a moderately tricky expert goal for being the THIRD
level in the game, I created a little chaining guide to go along with the
shift. If you still can’t reach it, keep in mind that part of the reason may
be due to snack requests. On some shifts, there will be more requests, and
they will also be easier to chain; other times they won’t.

Goal: 11500 pts.
Expert Goal: 15000 pts.
Upgrades: Equipment
Difficulty: 6/10
Tables: 5
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: Business Woman, Cellphone Addict
New Equipment: Cookie Station
Although I would normally suggest upgrading your podium, the shoes are a more
practical choice for this restaurant due to the wonky setup. The extra speed
is really useful when you have to travel that extra distance to cross the
bridge.
Attaining the expert goal here is a lot easier than it was for the last shift,
but there’s a lot more things to consider now that we have cookies for dessert
and Cell Addicts in the restaurant. Luckily you shouldn’t run into anything
too tricky here. The dessert earns you some very crucial points as long as you
keep everyone happy and remember to chain it.
It’s tourists galore this shift, which means that you’re going to go a million
picture requests to keep you from standing at the podium. I found that keeping
everyone in this shift happy was practically impossible, especially since I
tried doing chains of 7. Nevertheless, I didn’t think that the expert goal was
overly difficult. The customer types aren’t too bad, either; they all eat at
pretty much the same speed, which helps a lot when it comes to dessert.
Once again, I would highly recommend choosing the shoes this shift. With both
upgrades you’ll be going fast enough to make trips across the bridge a lot
less laborious and time-inducing, freeing up your ability to use the podium
and answer snack requests.
As for this shift, I found it to be pretty easy. The excess of four-top tables
means that you have a little more freedom to color-match, which is always
nice. The cell addicts are also pretty simple to handle since there are hardly
any spots in the restaurant where noise travels between tables.
Level 7

Goal: 11500 pts.
Expert Goal: 15000 pts.
Upgrades: Tables & Chairs
Difficulty: 6/10
Tables: 5
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: Kid Group
New Equipment: N/A
Considering that some of the groups this shift are horrible tippers, the
expert goal is somewhat steep. Be sure to serve cookies to everyone and try to
hit as many of the snack requests as you possibly can. Because there are no
super impatient characters in the line, you don’t have to hog the podium quite
as much. Color-matching will also be very important, but you shouldn’t have
too much difficulty with it.
Level 8

Goal: Earn 2500 more points than waitress
Expert Goal: Earn 4000 more points than waitress
Upgrades: N/A
Difficulty: 4/10
Tables: 7
Challenges: Waitress Training
New Customers: Jogger
New Equipment: N/A
Easy, easy, easy. The only thing that the waitress seems to be good at is
grabbing customers from the line and seating them before you have a chance to,
so keep that in mind. Never use the podium and never serve drinks; neither one
gives you points. Everything else is fair game, including the flowers.
Flo says that it’s going to be a tricky shift, but it really isn’t. The color-
matching should work out perfectly since we’re only dealing with red and blue,
and the customer types are, once again, very ideal. Just make sure that you do
big chains, put down flowers, etc. and you’re good to go.
Level 10
**********
Goal: 15000 pts.
Expert Goal: 20000 pts.
Upgrades: Water Slide
Difficulty: 5/10
Tables: 8
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: Senior, Lovebirds
New Equipment: N/A
Considering that I’ve doubled the expert goal on this level, this is a pretty
easy ending shift. Lots of customers, yeah, but now you’ve got enough variety
to handle cellphone addicts well (there’ll be some lovebirds and joggers in
addition to the families) and with so many different tables, color-matching
becomes second nature. Enjoy this level, because there are a few coming up in
the Crypt Café that are much more difficult...
This is a fun little restaurant; the atmosphere is really dark and spooky, and
the music sends shivers down your back. However, some of the levels
(especially later on) have a tendency to be really frustrating. Most of the
time this isn’t actually due to the customers we’re serving, but the table
arrangements.
You’ll notice that the Cellphone Addicts and Lovebirds look... slightly
different than they normally do; however, they still behave exactly the same.
Apparently, they “scare” other customers when they’re nearby, so basically
their usual noises/smooching is replaced by spookiness. Or something.

Expert Goal: 6000 pts.
Upgrades: N/A

New Equipment: Pumpkin Juice Station
Pretty easy opening shift. The customer types mesh very well, and there’s
never any point where you’ll have people waiting in line for too long. And if
they are unhappy upon being seated, there’s always pumpkin juice to serve up.
As long as you make sure the podium gets attended to, you can breeze through
this one with little to no trouble. Just watch out, because even though you
deal with pretty patient characters for most of the shift, the last two groups
to walk in are vampires – err, cell addicts. ;) Be sure that you don’t leave
them waiting too long, and watch out when you do seat them since they still
talk like crazy.

New Equipment: Candy Corn Station
There are more zombies and vampires this shift, but since there are also
plenty of families (who don’t mind noise/scariness/whatever), you should be
fine. Watch out for candy corn requests and be careful about leaving vampires
in line too long. Also, experiment a bit with pushing tables together to get
the best results for color-matching.
Level 14
**********
Goal: 10000 pts.
Expert Goal: 14000 pts.
Upgrades: Equipment
Difficulty: 7/10
Tables: 5
Challenges: N/A
New Customers: N/A
New Equipment: Pumpkin Pie Station
At the beginning of the shift, you get your first opportunity in the Crypt
Café to upgrade equipment. Since covering long distances isn’t a necessity in
this restaurant, you could go with the podium (which will come in extremely
handy for this shift, where you have to be creative in your chaining), but the
shoes are still a great choice since faster speed = quicker service, as
always.
The expert goal here isn’t particularly high, but the high amounts of vampires
and zombies means that you have to be a little strategic in order to make it
through without customers being unhappy and tipping low as a result. Here’s a
strategy table to help if you need it:
Customer Type Chain Table Other Notes

2 Vampires* 4 3
4 Business Women 3 4 <-- Serve continuous drinks
4 Business Women 4 4
2 Young Ladies 3 1
1 Family 4 2
1 Young Lady 5 Any
* If you have already completed the Expert Goal by the fourth chain, or are
extremely close to getting it, it’s OK to let this pair of vampires go. If you
do this, you can also take the single Young Lady from the fifth chain and seat
her in the fourth chain.
This level is tricky due to the wonky table arrangement, which is so close and
confined that you have to weave in and out among them, often times taking the
long way around to reach them (like for the bottom table). However, I don’t
think it’s quite as hard as the previous one since there are far fewer
vampires (although the zombies are still plentiful), and with seven tables,
color-matching is super easy. With chains of 7, you can potentially do this
one without serving dessert at all. That’s not a bad thing considering that
some of your customers may be getting scared by the smooching zombies... ;)
Again, don’t feel too obliged to serve dessert. A good chunk of your points
will probably come from color-matching, which is very easy in this shift. The
table arrangement is also much better. I was tempted to give this level a 5/10
in difficulty, but you’re still going to have to manage long lines at the
podium if you want to chain.
If there was an ideal shift for the Crypt Café, this would probably be it.
There’s lots of vampires, which will strain you since you’ll need to use the
podium to keep them happy, but at the tables you have nothing to worry about
since there’s tons of families and zombies to keep everything at bay. The
table arrangement is also set up in such a way where you don’t even really
need to grab highchairs for families if you don’t want to, since the noise
won’t travel to other tables anyway.
I would serve dessert, but only until you’re sure you have the expert goal in
the bag. This is a pretty easy shift.
If you didn’t pick the podium upgrade last time but you’ve been comfortable
with its speed for seven shifts, then I would advise picking the shoes once
again, because this level has an extremely frustrating table arrangement that
can only really be solved by faster shoes. If you did pick the podium upgrade
last time, then definitely go with the shoes.
This is an extremely annoying shift. Not necessarily difficult, since the
expert goal really isn’t that high, but downright annoying. There are tons of
vampires, and plenty of customers (tourists, young ladies, and bookworms) who
don’t like noise. Again, the table arrangement makes things more difficult
than it should be. I created a strategic chart below to help you plan out your
chains if you need to. The color-matching isn’t exactly perfect in my
strategy, but I’ve created it in such a way so that you’ll never have
intolerant customers sitting near vampires.
The good news is that the table setup is much, much easier to work with this
shift, and there are far fewer vampires to mess things up. Still, you’re going
to have to do a lot of micromanaging, especially since there are some
businesswomen later on that need to be served very quickly. Because I was able
to reach more than double the expert goal, I didn’t feel that this one needed
a strategic table. You should definitely be OK as long as you do a little
chaining and match up some colors.

As with most other waitress training shifts, this is really simple. Avoid the
podium, don’t serve drinks, and avoid serving dessert too; although it earns
you points, those points are pretty miniscule and all they do is prevent the
customer from leaving so that you can free up more tables. Realize that most
of your points here will probably come from color-matching alone, so be very
quick in seating customers once they show up in the line, or the other
waitress will mess things up.
This is probably my favorite restaurant in the game. It has a very home-y
welcoming feeling to it (a complete contrast from the previous restaurant),
and the music is light and up-tempo. It’s also a pretty unique form of a
restaurant with everyone eating on hay bales and being able to see the
farmwork going on in the background.
Difficulty-wise, I don’t think this one is as tough as the Crypt Café for a
few reasons. You don’t serve any snacks, which does wonders for chaining
purposes. Several of the levels have bar seating, meaning that you have more
freedom to match up colors. There are a few levels though that have strenuous
expert goals (namely, the third shift), but for the most part it’s a pretty
relaxing halfway point in the game.

This shift will go very smoothly as long as you chain and match up colors
well. Although you’ve lost your upgrades from the previous restaurant, you
still get the three most valuable tools (podium, flowers, and drinks), so
everything should be like normal. Just watch out for some more impatient
customers near the end.
The expert goal for this shift is a little high, so I’ve included a chart
below that got me to 17005 points. Color-matching is absolutely essential, as
are long chains. Be sure to run to the podium with any of the spare time that
you have, especially since there are no snack requests to disturb you.
It’s not an overly complicated setup like the ones from the Crypt Café, but
you have to execute it perfectly in order to make the most money possible.

This shift also has a steep expert goal, but I don’t feel like the table is
quite as necessary since it’s usually pretty obvious where customers should go
(especially since we only have three colors this shift). When it comes to the
two groups of six, you can either seat them at the pair of tables on the left-
hand side, or you can put them at the bar. Make note that if you put the
teenagers at the bar, their noisiness will NOT transfer to anyone seated above
or below them on the bar.
This is a fun and easy shift, and the expert goal isn’t so high this time - I
managed to reach over 19000 when I did it. A few things to consider: 1) When
you’re trying to get teens flirting, remember that they can flirt from a table
to the bar as long as they’re near eachother. 2) The three groups of six in
this level all have the same color pattern, so as a result you can get some
huge color-matching bonuses as long as you seat them in the correct bar spaces
each time.

The shifts have gradually been getting easier, and this is no exception. In
this shift, the large number of pairs means that you can get some really
massive chains going on – I think that at one point I had eleven customers in
the same chain. This can earn you some pretty major points. Just watch out for
who’s seated where, because although there are plenty of opportunities to get
teens flirting, you could also consequently annoy a lot of customers if you
put some in the wrong places.
I didn’t feel like this one needed a strategy table since the expert goal is
pretty easy to reach... however, there are a lot of noisy customers this
shift, and a large amount of intolerant ones as well. At the beginning, you’ll
get two groups of six teenagers; I would recommend waiting a bit and seating
the young ladies, businesswomen, and other customers that arrive shortly
afterwards in the first chain. Then you can put all of your noisy people in
the second chain, including other teens, cell addicts, and families if you
wish.
Like a few other shifts in this restaurant, Level 28 isn’t really hectic... it
just has a steep expert goal. This strategy should help you out with it a bit.
If you don’t want to use it, then I will just say that you need to serve as
much dessert as possible and make as long of chains as you can. The high
concentration of teens means that you’ll have to do something about them as
well. Flirting is always great, but you can also use the joggers and lovebirds
to your advantage if you can’t get the teens close enough to eachother.

A few notes:
- You have to wait at the podium a long time before starting the first chain.
You’ll see the first five customers, but listen and make sure that you hear
six more groups come in before you start seating anyone.
- On the second chain, seat the two groups of joggers first. That way they
should be the first ones done eating, allowing you to give them both checks
since they won’t request dessert. Then you can give it to everyone else.
- I messed up on my run through and put the six teenagers in the final chain
at Bar 1-6, but I think that if you put them at 3-8 their noise won’t travel
to the young ladies. I might be wrong though. In any case, be sure to serve
drinks to the ladies if they’re getting annoyed.
There’s a rush alright, but the expert goal is much more attainable this shift
than it was in the previous one. The second half of customers to walk in are
wearing mostly red and blue, so use this to your advantage when color-
matching. You can get some really good matches here. On the other hand,
there’s also a pair of Cell Addict groups that appear late, so be sure to use
the joggers and families to negate their noise.
Like the other shifts with two bars, there are endless options for you when it
comes to handling cell addicts and teens. This shouldn’t be a tricky shift if
you’ve reached the expert goal on every other level in the restaurant. Don’t
focus on making too huge of chains – just make sure that your colors are
stacking up and you’re keeping everyone happy. Do that (and serve a few
dessert chains, although you might not have to near the end), and you’re in
the clear.
The Winter Wonderland restaurant is a nice change of pace from the restaurants
we’ve seen recently. It’s still tricky (there are about three shifts in the
later part of the restaurant that have really high expert goals), but you
shouldn’t have any more difficulty passing through it than you did for the
previous two locations.

Expert Goal: 10000 pts.
Upgrades: N/A
Difficulty: 6/10
Tables: 5
Challenges: N/A
New Equipment: Podium, Egg Nog Station, Fruit Cake Station
The expert goal is kind of steep here but since it’s such a short shift with
lots of noise-resistant customers and a pretty easy table arrangement, I
didn’t think this one needed a detailed strategy to make it through. Serving
fruit cake here will be a bit difficult since you have joggers (who don’t eat
dessert) and a few groups of hungry men (who only order dessert the second
time). When you’re making chains, try to make a chain or two made up of all
customers who will eat dessert. That way you can get larger dessert chain
points.
I thought this one was tricky with all of the impatient businesswomen and
crying babies... here’s a table to help you out.
Color-matching is kind of a big part of this, so consider that when you’re
placing customers at tables. For maximum color bonus, make sure that the group
of Joggers at Table 5 in Chain 1 are seated with the two blue on one side and
the two green on the other side. This will allow you to create a perfect color
match for the group of six business women later on.
You know what the key to this shift is? Color-matching. The table arrangement
is so simple and the customer types (young ladies, teens, and business women)
are so generic that all you really need to get through this is a good sense of
how to seat customers. Take your time; stand at the podium while you pick up
different groups and arrange them at the tables, seeing which ones fit best
where. There are a few groups who will be able to completely match up with a
group before them, and for some others you can get three colors to match. Do
that, make chains, and serve dessert... and the expert goal is all yours.
Oh, and don’t forget to click on the pile of logs at the fireplace to give a
free happiness boost and +20 points per group that’s near the fire.
Same deal as last shift, only now color matching is way easier. And you have a
bench. This should be easy – just make sure you keep the teens flirting.
The easiest shift in the restaurant yet. With the exception of a few
Celebrities, every customer is pretty patient and the color-matching is
laughably easy. You also have tons of opportunities to get teens flirting with
eachother.
The flowers are taken away this shift because the candles occupy their spot...
so with that in mind, make sure that your customers are plenty happy before
they’re seated. Not getting those +100 bonuses does suck, though.
I found that the expert goal here was steeper than previous shifts, but it’s
still a pretty easy setup – especially with all of the joggers that come
through. And once again, the Celebrities are your only impatient customer
type. Towards the middle of the shift you’ll run into some seating issues
where babies can’t have highchairs, but as long as you seclude them from
intolerant customers by using the joggers, you should be fine.
This expert goal is one of the steepest in the entire game. On the two runs I
did, I was only able to slightly surpass 18000 each time. To get through this,
you need perfection in every department. Some things to consider:
- Flowers need to be placed for every single new chain. Since you only have
five tables, it shouldn’t take you that much time to do it.
- Spot-on color matching is required. In the first chain, make sure you seat
the groups at Table 1 and Table 4 so that all of the blues are on one side and
all of the yellows are on the other. This will allow you to create a perfect
color-match for the Celebrities in the second chain.
- Fulfill every single snack request. There are only two groups in the line
that are impatient: a group of Business Women and a group of Celebrities, so
you shouldn’t need to hog the podium too much. Just make sure you get
cranberry sauce served up wherever you possibly can.
- Chained dessert is a must.
- Even tapping the logs whenever they’re glowing helps, because you get +20
points per group seated near the fireplace.
- In the 2nd chain, the Young Ladies will be annoyed by the noise from the
Teens, but the Celebrities will keep making them starstruck so it all evens
out.
Another tough one. I was able to hit 20000 points on my latest run, but some
of that success probably came from snack requests. Still, the strategy I’ve
devised below ensures the best color-matching possible (or atleast to my
knowledge... there’s probably a better way). A few times you’ll have to put
customers near noisy teens who will lose hearts, but through drinks and the
fireplace you should have zero trouble keeping them happy.
Speaking of keeping everyone happy; once again, you’re going to need serve as
much fruit cake as possible. The only exception is Chain 4, where you’ll have
a group of Hungry Men who re-order and a group of Joggers who don’t eat
dessert anyway... so just skip the dessert that time around.
Other than that, follow every piece of advice given in the previous level.
I’ll just say this: if you managed to get the expert goal in the two previous
levels, then you should be OK on this. It’s still really steep, but this shift
is a bit easier since there are no customers in line that are impatient and
the color-matching is a lot simpler since we’re only dealing with three colors
(red, blue, and green).
For your first chain, wait until several people have showed up and then start
seating Hungry Men. You should be able to fill up the first chain with five
groups of them. This allows you to chain dessert for them on the second time
around since they all order twice and all eat at the same speed. After that,
it’s really up to you how you chain things. I would also do one that’s full of
teenagers so that you avoid annoying other customers.
After the shenanigans of previous shifts, this one is going to feel like a
breeze. The colors are really easy to match, the customer types are agreeable,
and the expert goal is very, very attainable. Just chain and do all of the
regular stuff and you’ll be fine.
The final restaurant of Seasonal Snack Pack is somewhat difficult, but the
nice thing about this game is that you’ve already had a handful of hectic
levels, so Romantic Rendezvous shouldn’t really throw anything at you that’s
too strenuous (well, except for the third shift). The downside is that, unlike
every other final restaurant of the Diner Dash series, you don’t get an extra
pair of hands to help you out.
My biggest piece of advice: chain, but don’t overdo it. You can surpass the
expert goal by atleast 5000 pts here, and a lot of those points come from
color-matching alone. For most of the shift, chains of two or three will do
just fine (maybe four when you get a bit later in the level). Cell Addicts are
present, but they won’t be too much of an issue. I think there’s only one
instance where I had a group that was annoying other customers, and it worked
out just fine.
There are more Cell Addicts this time, but the table arrangement makes it so
easy to deal with them. As long as you take the time to match up colors
accurately this shift, you’ll be well on your way to the expert goal. And
considering there are only three colors, you should be able to do that very
well.
The first time I passed this level’s expert goal, I got 14110 points. And that
was the FIRST time; it took me three tries to even get it. When I was forming
the strategy guide below I got 14510... This is probably the second-toughest
level in the game.
The shift is not really hectic and the customers are pretty agreeable, but the
expert goal is by far the most strenuous in the game. I’ll go into extensive
detail below about every possible thing you can do to generate the most points
you can.

- When you seat the first group of six Seniors at Tables 1 and 3, arrange the
group like this:
----------
A | | F
B | TABLE | E
C | | D
----------
A = Red
B = Purple
C = Blue
D = Green
E = Red
F = Green
This vastly improves the points you’ll receive from color-matching during the
rest of the shift.
- Chain the drink spills at the beginning of the shift. That’s an easy 630
points that could easily the make difference between getting the expert goal
and not getting it.
- Because you have no Families, no Tourists, and no snacks or desserts, there
is absolutely no way for anyone at the tables to disrupt your chains. This
means that you should not let anything in this level go unchained. Orders,
food, checks, and dishes... literally EVERTYHING needs to be chained.
- Every customer must leave with 5 hearts. That shouldn’t be too hard to do
since there will never be any instances where customers are annoyed by
teens/cell addicts. Just watch out for the lovebirds, since they can kiss and
gross out groups around them.
- Flowers need to be placed at every table before every chain.
- I’ve set the guide up in a way where color-matching should be pretty obvious
(aside from that initial group of Seniors). If you cannot perfectly match up a
group’s colors to the seats, then always go for the seats that have the
highest bonuses.
The good news? This shift’s expert goal is WAY more attainable than the
previous one. The catch, however, is that things are getting a little more
complicated seating-wise now that we’re mixing in several groups of Bookworms.
Keep in mind that you can phone in Quinn’s friend to play the piano, which
will partially relieve any customer who’s being annoyed by noise. Quinn is
pretty good too, although she’ll be better in later shifts once you start
serving snacks.
Overall, just be sure to pay attention to your colors and chain as much as you
can. You have a lot more room for error here than you did in the last level.
The expert goal isn’t particularly high this shift, but you’re dealing with a
somewhat complicated mix of customers. It doesn’t help that the second group
with a reserved table is a pair of Cell Addicts, and that’s right around the
time that there are several Bookworms in the restaurant. To help, I’ve thrown
together another guide below. You don’t have to take it too seriously though
since it’s possible to do it a number of other ways.
Just be very careful, because that reserved group of Cell Addicts has zero
patience in line. That’s why it’s useful to phone Quinn just before they
arrive so that they’ll have a happiness boost immediately upon getting in
line. You still need to try and seat them as quickly as possible, though.
This shift is like a cakewalk compared to previous ones. You should have
little to no trouble at all getting through it – in fact, you might not even
need to serve dessert if you match colors well enough and do a lot of
chaining.
Another relatively easy shift. The hardest part about this level is probably
the table arrangement. You have to get a bit creative in order to handle a lot
of the customers that come in, or else you’ll have some really angry
Bookworms. Just take your time in figuring out where to seat everyone per
chain, and you’ll do fine.
Another steep expert goal. This one isn’t quite as bad as Level 43, but it’s
still hard. I’ve provided another strategy guide below if you need it.
Basically, all of the tips from Level 43 still apply here; the only difference
is that now we have snacks and dessert to serve. As you might imagine, serving
dessert is a must, as well as chaining it. Snacks seemed to be really popular
for me, so they’ll probably account for a good chunk of your final score. Make
sure you serve them.
If you’re using the strategy guide, pay close attention to the notes below it.
They show you how to seat some of the customers in the first and second chains
so that you can have the best color-matching later on.
This isn’t as bad as the last shift but it’s still pretty tricky. There’s a
lot of cell addicts and teenagers, and thus a lot more micromanaging needs to
be done at the tables. I would strongly advise serving dessert again, as
you’ll find that not doing it robs you of a lot of points that can help you
get that expert goal. Try to make as big of chains as you possibly can, too,
as more customers in a chain equals more points.
I had thought about making a strategy guide for this one, but I don’t think
it’ll be necessary. Just pay attention when you’re seating groups, because
often times there’s a better option color-wise.
Remember how I said that Level 43 was the second-toughest shift in the game?
Well, Level 50 is what I consider to be the grand test. It makes sense that
they saved the harshest shift for last, right?
Really though, this sucks. For starters, the expert goal is once again very
strenuous. I managed to get over 26000 using the method below, but I think a
lot of that had to do with luck regarding snack requests. Managing to keep
every single customer happy whilst doing chaining, color-matching, and
everything is just... borderline impossible. The worst part is that the
reservations come at super awkward times. The last group to enter the
restaurant has a reservation, and you can’t even get to them because they’re
way at the end of the line! This happens a few other times as well.
For this reason, the strategy has three “chains” (1, 3, and 4) that aren’t
really chains, but more excess customers that wouldn’t fit in any other chain
for reservation purposes. Don’t serve dessert to these guys, because they need
to get in and out as quickly as possible. I would also advise against giving
dessert to two of the groups in Chain 2 since they need to be removed quickly
for the Lovebirds in Chain 4. With every other group, however, you should be
serving dessert. That’s a major point-earner, and you’ll need it this time.
The last two pairs of Lovebirds that have reservations cannot be seated
immediately when they enter the restaurant. Because of this, you need to hog
the podium to keep them happy. Make sure that you phone Quinn shortly after
the final group arrives, because that one is going to be waiting awhile.

If you attain every single expert goal in a restaurant, you’ll unlock the

Endless shift is unlocked for each restaurant once you unlock it in the
regular Story Mode. In Endless Shift, the shift never ends, and all of the
different customer types come in to eat at your restaurant. It starts out
only one customer type, and then the other customer types come in as you go
along. Whenever you reach a goal, the “Upgrades” button flashes and you can
pick something to help you work faster. Then a higher goal is set, and you
can keep using the “Upgrades” button to help you work.
There are 3 different difficulties, “Easy”, “Medium”, and “Hard”. The
customers will have different patience per difficulty level. Also, whenever a
group leaves angry, you loose a star. Once you loose all of your stars, the
shift is over. There are 5 stars in the Easy level, 4 in the Medium level, and
only 3 in the Hard level.
Endless Shift may seem easy at first, but you’ll find out that unless you have
the proper equipment later on, it gets very tough, as the customers get more
and more impatient!
