Whoa, it's Deadpool! The merc with the mouth finally gets his own game!
About time, right? To be perfectly honest, Deadpool as a game is... pretty
much the definition of a rental game. It is decent and definitely humorous,
but doesn't provide much substance. Plus it can be beat in a very short amount
of time.
As a guide writer, I probably WOULD NOT have wrote for this game... but here
we are. All due to a certain someone (*cough* A Backdated Future *cough*) who
called me incessantly and insisted I start on it right away! But then, uh...
never followed up on it! Haha. Life happens, right?
Well, it'd be a shame to not post something I spent a weekend on, so here
ya all go! It's not the prettiest Bkstunt guide out there, but I'm sure it'll
help someone!

these games so I could crank out great guides, but they don't! Ah, maybe one
day!

HOME SWEET HOME
=====================================================================[DP-01]===
Our hero is chilling out, maxin' an' relaxin' when suddenly...
A script appears!
Here we are, Home Sweet Home. Time to check out the crib of the merc with a
mouth! Get up off your ass, and you'll earn two Achievements / Trophies right
off the bat! Your first task will be to obtain all of the tro-cheevos here in
the apartment.
NOTE: Just by getting out of your chair, you'll automatically earn 'The first
one's free!' and the 'The second one is also free...'
Next, you'll have to play with all 14 pieces of Deadpool's junk.
1. Plop back down in the chair and watch some TV.
2. Play with the dog.
3. Make a call with the phone beside the lamp.
4. Curl up on the nearby couch and take a nap.
5. Root through the bookshelf near the bedroom/office doorway.
6. Blow up the... uh... doll... in the bedroom. (She always looks so
surprised to see us!)
7. Surf the internets on the computer.
8. Observe the load of weapons on the fencing nearby.
9. Go back to the living room and check out the neon guitar on the wall.
Rock out.
10. Go into the bathroom across from the guitar and choose to... make
a deposit.
11. Since you're in there, make sure to kill germs by washing those filthy
hands.
12. Venture into the kitchen and see what's in the fridge. Drink ALL the booze
you can!
13. Have a seat at the table and attempt to eat some pizza.
14. Examine your stove to cook. A thousand pancakes later, in addition to
messing with another piece of junk, you'll earn 'I'm expecting company'.
NOTE: With those 14 tasks done, you'll earn the 'Makin' a game!' trophy.
For the last tro-cheevo, open your menu and change the "Dialogue Volume" to 0,
which will net you 'Only when he stops breathing'.
Well, you've heard the damned knocking and doorbell long enough, so answer the
door. It's time to get movin', so open up your door and choose the "Yeah, I
wanna kill stuff already!" option. Deadpool will take some liberty with the
script here (go figure) and we'll soon be on our way to killing stuff.
===============================================================================
JOB ONE
=====================================================================[DP-02]===
Contract target: Chance White. He's got a private army in his media HQ.
Go Deadpool go!
Once you get dropped off in the sewer, you'll have a chance to try out the
controls (a.k.a., do whatever High Moon says.) This is a short tutorial, so
hop around and try out our fighting skills by mixing up your light and heavy
attacks to see what Deadpool can do. Get used to teleporting and countering
as well (important!) After slaughtering all of the goons, Deadpool will summon
a crate and... blow up a bouncy castle. Yep...
NOTE: If you want to stock up on some DP for a better start, once you're done
killing all of the enemies, you can go to your menu and choose to
"Restart Chapter". You'll start right back at the beginning of the
Sewer, but you will have all of your DP intact. Yeah, you have to re-do
the tutorial every time, but feel free to repeat this until you have all
the easy DP you want.
BANANA! Well, once you are done bouncing around, head into the sewers and jump
down the hole. Down here, sneak up on the bad guy while collecting the DP coins
and do a stealth kill using [TRIANGLE] / {Y} or [R2] / {RT}. Deadpool will
explain DP points here, so grab the points and gun ammo. You can press [SELECT]
/ {BACK} to enter the upgrade menu (gotta love the shopping music!) The only
real upgrade you can afford here (unless you spent some time restarting) is
Greedy" under your Beauroyre Blades; it helps you earn DP quicker, so it's
definitely a good buy. Try to get the DP upgrades first so you earn the others
faster.
Head forward and grab all the DP coins (note how some of them are worth more
than others.) Continue upward while grabbing coins; be sure to scour these
catwalks as you go up, as they like to place coins out of your direct path
(still, these are all easy to grab.) Once the walkway breaks, you'll need to do
a wall jump to jump high enough to continue (hit the jump button while you jump
at the wall.)
Continue up to a well-lit area where we need to use wall jumps together to get
higher. Chain the wall jumps together to continue, then double jump over the
gap (there's a coin in mid-air here.) Continue on and mantle up the ledges to
a ladder that you can interact with. Cut scene!
Time to do some killing! These guards are good practice. Chain together your
attacks (Light, Light, Heavy is good), use [CIRCLE] / {B} to counter and use
[L2 + CROSS] / {LT + A} once you get enough momentum. Work on taking them all
out; some of them will drop TACOS so be sure to pick up any of the floating
cards they drop for the trophy progress.
NOTE: After killing the first few waves you should be able to buy the
"Greedier" upgrade for your Bearoyre Blades.
NOTE: To earn the 'In the lobby comboin' your dudes' tro-cheevo, wait in the
first open lobby area and wait around for loads of guards. They mostly
come out one at a time but they can come out in a 4-5 man group if you
wait long enough. Once you get a large group around you, use ONLY weak
sword attacks and try to get your combo above 40 to earn it. Do this
before they lock the elevators, or you'll have to restart the chapter.
NOTE: The other tro-cheevo to earn here is '49 in 5'; you must make it from
the studio lobby to the boardroom in 5 minutes, WITHOUT dying. You'll
most likely have to do this separately from the one above, possibly on
another playthrough. (Best done on an "Easy" [Genetically Superior]
game.) You just need to get from the lobby to the outside as fast as
possibly, so quickly dispatch or skip the enemies as you move along.
Head further in, slashing baddies as they come along, and you'll get to a ton
of elevators. They will lock them down though, so we aren't going up that way
(and no, voice, we AREN'T waiting!) The game will tell you how to shoot now, so
use your guns to shoot the glowing red box past one of the gates that dropped
down.
Head back into the lobby and more guards will be here, shooting at us! Gah!
You can tap and hold [L1] / {LB} to snap lock onto a guard for easy aiming,
so do that and take them all out. After giving them your ranged gifts, head
into the open doorway nearby. A guard will run off here... Probably smart on
his part. Continue onward and down the stairs. The closet to the right has
some Frag Grenades in it but you can only use them if you've purchased that
upgrade. Further in, some guards will shoot at you, so either shoot back or
rush them. There's a lever up ahead you can turn off and on to reset the
power. Goodie!
Head back, and the game will show (force) you to use a momentum attack.
You've already been using them though... right? Right!? Well, you should;
they're badass! Up the stairs, the game will also tell you to use alternating
light / heavy attacks to stop enemies from blocking. There are more enemies
in the lobby for us to take out: a mix of blocking enemies and shooters. Fun!
Take your time if you like, but be sure to hide behind pillars or objects for
a few moments if you need to heal.
Head to the elevators to take out more enemies, as well as have one of the
contraptions open for you. How convenient! Enjoy the dulcet tunes that come
from Deadpool's voicebox... at least, until the elevator will stops. Gah! Shoot
out the center glass to escape. Great, scary lightning, AND our pajamas are
getting wet, so we gotta get back inside. Head to the left for some DP coins,
then wall jump up a level. Deadpool will mention spending some DP here, so if
you haven't yet, grab "Greediest" (or save your DP for it.) Grab the DP coin
from the center of the area, then wall jump off the center wall to get up
another level. Grab some more DP coins from the left and wall jump up the lit
elevator shaft nearby until you reach the top. Shoot out the glass of the
elevator here, then interact with the door to force your way inside.
Time to raise hell! Grab the Flashbang Grenades from the left if you want/can
and head in. You'll be in a wide-open area here (the newsroom.) There are a lot
of shooters scattered about, so its smart to pick off a few with your own guns
before leaving the first room. Do that, then head out and fight near a cover
(a pillar works) and take out the melee units that show up.
After some killing, the place will fill with smoke and a ton of melee units
will show up(including some of those soldiers with the stun bars that block
all the time... jerks...) This is a great time to use your momentum attacks
and counters. Take them out, and soon reinforcements will show up through a
door in one of the raised rooms. Take them out by killing the melee guys that
rush you while shooting everything else. BEFORE moving on, explore the
newsroom for goodies. In particular, you can run around the outside of the
area and pick up DP and Flashbangs but be SURE to check behind the TWO
newsdesks for some high value DP coins.
NOTE: By now, if you haven't, you can likely buy the last Greedy upgrade
for your blades. I'd recommend buying Greedy for your guns and
unlocking some grenade types as well (which you can throw with [R2]
/ {RT}.)
Once you have those continue through the door the last soldiers opened. MOAR
KILLING! Bwhahaha. Keep pressing inward, scanning the rooms for DP coins (there
are a few in the corners) and killing foes. Chancey sure sounds upset! Next,
we'll work our way through a bunch of offices here. Kill the melee guys when
they show up and be ready to shoot down distant gunners. Fun!
At the end, you'll be in another lobby. More enemies will attack here, but be
careful of the ranged shooters, as they can throw grenades at us. Take them out
and grab the DP coins. In the office area, check the right side for a high
value DP coin as Chancey taunts us. With sharks. SHARKS! I want a shark...
Head into the blue hallway and kill the two soldiers in the conference room
before eating CAKE. Mmmmm... Head outside and use the lift to head up. Get on
a second lift and shoot the two soldiers who shoot at you from a room nearby.
That's not very nice! Jump over there for a stash of DP coins, then use the
second lift to head up further. Continue to a third lift and use it before
two melee soldiers show up. Take them out, then check the room they came from
for more DP coins. We have to jump to a fourth lift now, so double-jump to it
but HOLD the [CROSS] / {A} button on the second jump to grab the fourth lift
(important!) Or you could fall, y'know. There's always that. Be sure to
teleport if you do... otherwise, your kick-ass healing factor won't matter
a bit!
Take the lift up and jump to safe ground. Whew! Now, we can stealth kill
the next soldier here, so do it quietly and grab the DP coins past him before
going up the stairs. Up here, beware of shooters up high and behind objects.
Take them out (with love) and you'll soon be told to hijack a helicopter.
Seriously, you need to man up. This helicopter is no joke. DO NOT stand around
in front of it, as its gatling gun will take you down VERY quickly. We'll need
to push on while "scaring" the chopper, so go close to the edge to where you
can jump out and fire a few rounds to make the chopper move.
Shoot at it to buy yourself a few seconds as the chopper evades a bit. This is
a pattern we'll need to repeat to progress. Shoot at it, drop down, and find
some cover. The chopper will move, so shoot at it and advance from cover to
cover until you can shoot some more soldiers. Take them out, jump up the ledge,
grab some DP, and keep going. Eventually, you'll come up to a ledge where
you'll see the helicopter chilling by the landing pad. There are a lot of minor
DP coins behind and in front of the cover up here, so take the time to scare
the chopper and gather them all as you make your way forward. Once you are
under the landing pad, gather the coins and BE SURE to find the stairs leading
down on the left for two high value DP coins. Head onward up to the landing pad
for a cut scene.
Hey look, we're on a mini-gun! Yeah! Use it for peace and goodwill. And by
that, I mean blow shit up. Lots of shit. And guys... DO IT! This section is
easy and fun, so just enjoy some time ripping everyone a new one until the
next scene.
After that, the game will want you to upgrade. Do so if you wish. You can buy
all the inventory items and then some if you wanted to (we highly recommend
buying the flashbangs, mines and bear traps at this point.) After that, we'll
need to kill some more soldiers (seriously, where does he hire all these
guys?!). Once they are dead, "The Solution" will show up. Ooo, that's a big-ass
gun.
Now we have to take this guy down. He will walk around and shoot rockets at
you if you are a ways away. (Use your teleportation to avoid the rockets.) If
you get close, he will try to melee you. If you took our advice, you can
litter the area with mines and bear traps to really help yourself out. You can
also stun-lock him with flashbangs and wail away on him (why yes, that IS cheap
as hell...) You can also trip him up by hitting him 1-2 times and teleporting
away multiple times in a row.
Once you take him down you can pick up "The Solution" and have fun! More
soldiers will come in so blow them away. Soon another big guy will come in
with another rocket launcher, so focus on him (which will likely take the rest
of your ammo.)
Once you've killed all the guards sit back and enjoy the scenes. Be sure to
hit [CROSS] / {A} a ton. Shoryuken! You'll earn 'The house that bounces' upon
completing this task.
===============================================================================
TAKING A CHANCE
=====================================================================[DP-03]===
The marauders have made off with Deadpool's payday!
Good thing we had ol' bouncy to help us out! However, Chance will get away,
but don't worry, we'll find him. Head on and teleport past the steam. Further
in, your game will turn into 8-Bit. Wait, 8-BIT?! Oh man!!
Kill the skeleton and head up (you need a key for the right door, genius).
Head up and kill the three skeletons and open the chest. What the hell? In
any case, you can backtrack and open the locked door now. Kill the skeletons
in here and push the block. Continue for a cutscene.
Aww, back to 3D. You can trample the sprites here if you wish. Continue on,
and the marauders will block your path. Hang a left and shoot a guy, then
drop down. There are more guys to shoot down here, so move forward and blast
away. Head up the stairs after that to kill some melee guys that appear out
of nowhere, racking up some combos on their asses while you're at it.
Down the hall and through the door, there will be a path to the left with a
guy shooting at you and a path to the right. Follow the upper right path to
find an area with a high-value DP coin and ammo, then head left and kill the
guy. A marauder will destroy the tunnel again (damn her!), so we'll have to
wall jump up the area with the green lights. Green lights always show you the
way up.
Follow this path to a wide circular room. Here a large green brute will
appear! Time to have fun. He is rather slow and will try to hit you with
the blades attached to his arms. This is a good time to use a bear trap and/or
mines (he does drop mine ammo after all.) Keep your distance from him, and you
should be fine. Once he's gone, but before chasing the marauders, go down the
tunnel they came from (the darker tunnel) to nab two high value DP coins, THEN
feel free to go down the bright tunnel the green brute came from. Hurrah for
order!
Watch out for the steam in the next tunnels, but be sure to grab the DP coins
past the first steam vent. Continue on and kill the soldiers you find. Soon
you'll enter a circular area and we'll get to see another cut scene, as well
as encounter the first tough boss of the game.
BOSS: Arclight
This boss fight starts out with Arclight sending her minions after you. What
did you expect? We HAVE to take care of the minions! This includes a wave of
minions with shielding. Make sure to focus on the minion with the shield icon
above his head in this wave to get rid of the shields on the other enemies if
you wish (or you could just enjoy the extra combo counter.) Note that you can
knock any of these enemies off the side of the grating for an instant kill if
you wanted... (...you cheap bastard you...)
Soon, since the pansies are failing miserably, Arclight will come down to take
care of you herself. She has two distinct phases in this fight. In the first,
she will shoot a wave of energy at you, which is easily avoided by teleporting
away. If she DOES hit you with it, your body will turn orange and time will
slow down a bit for you. You can still attack and even counter like this,
though. She'll also try to melee you with hand to hand combos. If she gets you
when you are orange, she will sometimes throw you in the air and gut-punch
you. Ouch! (Avoid this at all costs if you want the tro-cheevo!)
Spread traps around (mines, bear trap) to hurt her a ton, and safely I might
add. After that, use hit and run tactics. Get in some block-breaking attacks
(Light+Heavy, Heavy+Light) to do some damage and retreat. You can also use
your various guns to help out here.
Once you've got her health halfway down, she'll hit the grating again and
send you both plummeting; this is phase two of the fight. The only attack that
Arclight adds here is a ground pound that sends the energy wave out in a 360
degree circle. So teleport to avoid it; pretty easy. Keep up your assault and
you'll have her beaten in no time.
NOTE: As long as you didn't take any damage from one of her slam attacks,
you'll earn 'Catch me if you can'. You can take normal hits and still
get it just fine.
The scene afterward is HILARIOUS. Hehehe.... oh, damn, that's gotta hurt! You
can attempt to SLOWLY work your way off, then let just leave Deadpool on the
pole to hear all of his comments, but sooner or later, you'll have to free him
by jamming on the button displayed. Or you could just leave him... Oh, you're
free? Good. Head forward toward the glowing the machine and you'll see another
cut scene. Vertigo will come in and make things all... dizzy. Great. Just
great.
NOTE: You can earn ''Beer goggles' by hitting all three of the following
switches, defeating the two phaser enemies, and chasing after Vertigo
within 60 seconds.
Head to the right and follow the pathway here to a lever you can use. The
screen will of course be beyond annoying. Pull the lever and head back. You'll
get to fight a couple of teleporting baddies back in the main area; they can
teleport at will, but is fairly unremarkable aside from that. Take the left
path now to a second lever, tugging on it as well. Now, head back to the
central lever and use it to continue on.
Follow Vertigo and Chance while jumping over the bottomless pits of doom (yep,
those are the official names.) Follow the path, climbing up the "steps" and
jumping onto the pipe when you get a chance, crossing it to the other side.
Once you're there, continue along to another circular grate coming down like
an elevator where you can fight another group of shielded enemies. Take them
out and use the console. On your (slow!) way up, shoot the soldiers that
appear.
Next we'll have to take on a lava brute (or whatever these things are called.)
He has a heavy grenade launcher; if he tags you with a grenade, it will stick
on you, so teleport to get if off. Use whatever ammo and traps you have on
him, then go in for hit and run strikes. If he gets a punch in (because you
are standing near him for too long, dummy), you will likely get punched OFF
the platform and will need to teleport back up. Once you kill him, pick up
the grenade launcher and use it to kill the next wave of bad guys you see.
Fun!
Continue on and you'll see a scene with Vertigo. Ugh. Looks like you
shouldn't have eaten that pizza earlier...
NOTE: If you can get through this next section (the entire tunnel) without
getting hit, you will get the ' HEEEEY YOOOOO GUYYYYYSSS! ' tro-cheevo.
This next section is pretty fun, albeit a bit frustrating. We'll be sliding
down the sewers, and in our way are grates that we'll want to avoid due to the
ouchies. But hey, there are a TON of DP coins here as well. The grates come up
so fast that you're going to have to go on reaction time to dodge them. Or you
could read below to see what side you should be on to make it through without
getting hurt (although that will require some pausing on your part since you
are moving so fast). Oh well, here's where you should be:

You'll earn 'No Chance in heaven' upon completing this chapter.

GENOSHA
=====================================================================[DP-04]===
Deadpool (and some X-Men) have gone to ground on Genosha. What happens next???
Oh man. See, there's a reason we don't get to fly the plane! Approach Wolverine
and press the prompt if you need to learn more about him (you likely don't....
I hope.) Interact with him, and we'll get to bitch slap him! Repeatedly!
Hee hee hee...
NOTE: Keep bitch-slapping the furry bastard known as Wolverine until Deadpool
runs out of things to say to earn ' Let's try one more time... '!
Follow the path and check out the Sentinel. Good thing that thing is down, eh?
Drop down and take out the goons that show up. The game will tell you to mix
in gunshots with your attacks (Gunkata), so do so if you wish. Soon, the source
of the rumbling will show up. Man I thought that guy was gonna fall through
the grate he landed on.
Fatso basically trots around slowly and sends ground tremors your way. Easy to
dodge. He is easy to shoot, but you can also get in a TON of hits with a bear
trap as well. Once he is down, more enemies will show up through a nearby door,
so take them out, then search the area for DP coins and ammo before using that
door.
Head onward and grab the DP coins, then wall jump upward. Up here, you'll face
a lot of shooters. There's a ton of ammo lying around, so take them out. You'll
run into another lava brute as well, so spare some grenades and take him out as
well. Once you've cleared out the enemies, Cable will drop in!
NOTE: Be sure to hit the prompt labeled 'WTF is Cable?' here, as doing so will
net you the ' Curious about Cable ' tro-cheevo.
Cable will drone on and on while Deadpool tries to entertain himself. Ha! You
can eventually hit the prompt to make it stop, or just wait it out until the
inevitable happens, leaving Cable to pin a note to you. Literally.
After that, a whole bunch of soldiers will show up. We recommend going and
grabbing the Grenade Launcher from wherever you killed the lava brute and using
it to clean house until it is out of ammo. You can use guns after that as these
soldiers are mainly gunmen (Gun Clones? Gun Brothers? Sunset Riders?)
At the end of the area, you will face down another Fatso. Err.... make that TWO
of them! Oh, and they're accompanied by melee soldiers. If you run around the
Fatso's will actually kill their smaller allies with ground tremors. Use a bear
trap here to trap one and get both of them together while you wail on them.
Teleport before the other one hits you can keep hitting them both. You can get
both of them close to death this way and then finish the job with bullets and
hit and run attacks.
Once you've killed them, some shooters will come out. You can either shoot
them back (ah, vengeance) or jump up there and take them out. Explore the
room the Fatsos came out of for some goodies.
Now you can either head left into a dead end or right into the circular room.
If you head into the circular room, there will be a soldier with backup
showing up soon after. OR you could double jump around the dead end path and
stealth kill the soldier. Not that to get the re-inforcements to show up you
HAVE to go the "right" way (which you may as well for the kills and DP.)
(If you wind up on the lower levels again and can't find your way back up to
the walkway, find a corner to do a wall jump and launch yourself back where
you should be. Or find the machine below.)
Explore this entire upper area for DP coins and tacos (and ammo.) There will
be an area up here with green lights that we need to wall jump up to proceed,
so once you've grabbed all the loot head to it and jump onward. Follow the
path grabbing DP coins until some more soldiers attack. Take them out and
search behind the equipment for DP coins. Keep following the walkways to the
top and you'll meet a wanna-be Storm baddie. He makes columns of lightning
travel at you, can summon a localized blizzard storm to destroy an area and
can zap you continously if you get too close. Lock on to him by holding the
aim button and riddle him with bullets. You'll likely need to reload sooner
or later so run around and find some ammo so you can finish him off.
Now you are free to scour this area for DP and ammo. There is a lot of it.
Search every corner (follow the walls) and look behind every park bench. Also
be sure to jump over to the middle area for more DP, ammo and a POWER CELL
that we need to continue. With the power cell, you can head to the Sentinel
Arm (the glowing red part... duh) and use it. This lets you move the arm out
of the way.
Head in to see a lobby with a hole in it (oh, the jokes...) Grab the DP coins
here (follow the walls) and jump down. More DP coins to your right. You can
stealth kill the soldier on the left if you wish. Head forward to a room with
a ramp. Search behind the ramp for three high value DP coins, then follow it
up. Do the same thing on this level (grab DP, head up ramp) and then on the
third level, grab the DP coins and exit the glass doors (more DP on your
right.) Jump past the gaps you come across for DP, then jump down. Outside
you'll see a... holy shit, she's real! Wow... Did not see that coming! Before
making the mad dash to her, check behind the pillars here (Taco!) and check
behind the couches for DP. Head toward your dream girl for a scene... and feel
free to SQUEEZE! Yeah...
In any case, once you have control, stealth kill the guy in front of you. You
can move ahead on either the left or right sides and stealth kill the next
guard too if you are careful enough. From here I like to jump down and engage
the enemies. This leads to a good fight against melee guys and another
Weatherman. Once you kill the first Weatherman, another one and more melee
guys will show up (you may have to run around to refill ammo here).
After that shit just gets awesome as Cable beams down and joins the fight.
His gun is AWESOME. We'll fight a ton of shooters and melee soldiers, along
with a some Brute enemies and TWO Weathermen. Feel free to use the Grenade
Launchers the Brutes drop and if you want help killing any of them lead them
to Cable as you can double-team them to really take them down fast. Bwahaha!
Afterward, Cable will head to the future to finish a fight and tells us to
wait for him... yeah, right.
Naturally we aren't going to do that. Take some time to pick up DP and ammo
from both the lower area and the upper walkways. Once you are ready head to
the bottom area and into the small building in the middle to find a machine.
Follow the prompt to uncover the WHEEL OF INSANITY! OOOOooo, spin it! And
Magnetic Apocalypse it is!
Nothing we could have done about that. Be sure to shoot all the balloons
here as it is part of an achievement / trophy, then head outside. Shit is
going crazy out here! Head up the ramp to the right and head to the central
walkway. You can jump on top of the floating platforms from here. Follow
them around to another Wheel of Insanity and spin it. A cow! Really! Well,
one will show up!
This cow is slowly rotating around with the wind. Shoot it. Yep, shoot it.
Man you are a dick. After gibbing the cow (FPS lingo, yo!) shoot all the
balloons on the second Wheel of Insanity to unlock the 'This Game is Rigged'
trophy! Nice!
Keep heading up using the platforms and you'll find a third Wheel of Insanity.
No messing with this one though. Well damn. Keep heading up to the top and
you'll see a scene. Here go ahead and press whatever prompt you want as DJ
Wade has fun. Soon after you'll destroy shit (go figure) and several scenes
will occur. Enjoy!
Time to build a vehicle I suppose. Check the door Cable points to and he'll
be nice and open it for you.
Head inside and grab the DP. Sex robots, lol. Further in you can kill a
couple of chumps and soon you'll see another Sentinel Arm. We need to find
another power cell though. From the arm turn around and look back to where
you came from. To the left of the fountain is a ramp. Follow it and wall
jump at the end to get higher. Keep doing that until you can jump to a
walkway in the distance with a POWER CELL on it. Follow the walkway for
more DP and goodies then drop down and use the power cell. Make the
Sentinel Arm go down into a ramp so you can use it to continue.
Grab the DP and head inside. There's some soldiers here to kill. Do your
thing and head up the ramp to kill the shooter and even more soldiers.
There's DP and another POWER CELL up here. Grab it and drop down. Head
outside, grab the DP and use the power cell to power up the next arm. Use
this one first to knock down the fence by making it go all the way down,
then make it go up a bit to form a nice ramp. Now, head to the FIRST Sentinel
arm and use it to make the hand form a platform (move it all the way to the
right). Now you can use the second arm with the first one to grab the green
part!
One down. Grab up all the DP and follow the path. You'll run into some
soldiers and a gunman on the way. Take them out and return the part to Cable.
Now we'll need to find part number 2.
Head towards the door Cable points out and follow the path to an open room.
A group of shielded soldiers will engage here. Take them out and search the
corners for DP coins. Continue on and jump down to engage sneak mode! Stealth
kill the first soldier. Above you on a ledge is a second soldier that will
spot you if you go too far in. You can try to stealth kill him by sneaking to
the left and jumping up there but even if you do get caught you won't face
very many soldiers (around 3, how pathetic!).
Gather up the DP from the upper ledges and for now stay on the ground level
and search the left-hand area. There is more DP to be had over here along with
a POWER CELL. Grab it and head back to the first area and head up the ramp.
There's some soldiers to kill up here along with DP and a Sentinel arm. Use
the power cell and then the cables to blow a hole in the wall! Ha! Do it 2-3
more times to clear a way through and then gather up the DP and drop down the
hole in the floor.
Down here will be two waves of melee soldiers. Take them out and gather up the
DP, then head up the stairs. Follow this path to another hole and down again.
Some shooters will shoot at you from behind cover up ahead. Grab the DP to the
right and either shoot them down or use the left boxes to jump over there.
Actually, just jump over there and kill them. For the DP, yo!
Head out to the hallway and find the ramp leading up. Follow the path to the
wall jump and ignore the soldiers as you'll be in there area soon if you keep
following the path (save on ammo). Take them out, wall jump upward and jump
the gap. Gather up the DP and jump down the hole with all the DP coins in it.
Kill the people down here if you haven't already, then grab the DP and POWER
CELL. Continue on and soon you'll be back at the Sentinel arm. Insert the
power cell and grab the cables!
We'll be able to move the arm AND shoot now. Move it slowly to the left
(the only way you CAN move it) and blast the shit out of everything. You need
to bring down the pillars to kill/hit the soldiers. Keep blasting soldiers
and pillars until everything is dead. Giant Lasers FTW!
Head back across the wooden walkway and head left up the ramp. This nets you
the part Cable needs and DP. Continue on and kill the soldiers in the wallway.
Be sure to enter the room on the left for DP and ammo and head downstairs.
Once you are back in the big tiled room you will fight some shielded enemies
and another green brute. We are well equipped now so show him your Shotgun or
Hammers (you do have those things, right?). Preferably shotgun. Buy it
already if you haven't! Sheesh!
Head back to Cable when you are done for some scenes.
This next part has us in the boot but you can hardly say we are controlling
it. What you CAN do though is man the gun and shoot the shit out of anything
that moves. The boot will (sorry for this) stomp around and change our
scenery often, but just keep shooting shit. Not like you have any choice.
At some point you'll have to press the button prompts on the screen. I defy
you to nail the last one! Keep watching the scenes and killing shit until
the chapter is over.
===============================================================================
LANDED IN PRISON
=====================================================================[DP-05]===
In an old Genoshan prison, Rogue is held captive. Can our hero reach her
in time?
Well, no idea where Rogue went. Captured I guess. We are screwed up as well.
One missing arm. Head on backward. Ugh. Your arm is nearby, but the controls
are reversed. You'll get used to it in a bit. Head for your arm and the dog
will come grab it. Gah, bad doggie! Chase him around until he finally stops
and lets you grab your arm. After that you'll hear some soldiers searching
for you.
Head out and if you are careful you can stealth kill the two soldiers out
here. Look around the area for a red console you can interact with to open
a prison door for ammo and DP. Next lets head to the ramp leading upwards.
Follow this linear path to the other side of the prison and drop down. We'll
fight some soldiers down here. After the first wave a group of pink-glowing
soldiers will show up. They will try to suicide-bomb you so be careful of
letting them get too close!
Head to where they came from and take the left prison cell onward. More Gambit
soldiers (which is what I'm going to call them after those comments) show up
so shoot them down. Up here near the next corner more soldiers will attack.
Take them down and open up the nearby prison cell for DP and ammo. Keep going
and kill the shooter and Gambit Soldiers that show up. There is a hole nearby
you should drop down for DP. Keep on going and soon you'll be in a bathroom.
Continue on and you'll see a scene as nature calls. Of course Wade makes all
sorts of comments here if you sit there and let him. Sooner or later he'll
shut up, so hit the prompt to stop going. Deadpool will kill them off for
you. Poor guys...
Out in the next hallway hit the console for DP and ammo and continue on.
Some melee guys will come out so take them out. Before going to where they
came from look around for a broken wall that you can go through with some
DP on the other side over a gap. Grab it and continue.
Make your way around the corner out of bullet range and kill the melee guys
you find. Up in the room are three gunmen to take out and beyond them are
even more gunmen! Face, meet bullet! After killing them all head to the far
room and look for a bright red console to use. Search the lower area behind
it first (DP!) and then use it to let three more soldiers come meet their
maker.
Enter the door they came from and drop down the stairs. Search underneath
them for DP and head to the intersection. Head right first and kill all the
Gambit Soldiers. Down here you can use a console to open a prison cell FULL
of ammo (No DP though). Take the other path and use the console down there
for a quick scene. GAME PATCHED!
Kill off the soldiers and collect the loot. Go search the far left cell now
for DP but when you re-enter the hallway watch out for 4-5 Gambit Soldiers!
Continue on through the middle cell and advance, watching out for a TON of
Gambit Soldiers (Pro Tip: Use the doorways to filter them through as you
shoot them down).
Past that you'll face more regular melee chumps. Take them out. The cell
on the far right has a ton of ammo in it. Head up the left ramp killing
peeps until you get to a room. More melee chumps will show up so let them
have it (you brought "it", right?) and use the console in the locker room
they came from.
Follow the path and soon you'll see a scene. The scenery takes a real change
as you continue on. Soon you'll be at a Surprise Party! Wow. Probably totally
legit. Let's enjoy it though. You can get the "Social Butterfly" trophy here
by mingling with party guests. There's eight distinct spots to hit up here:
1. Straight in front of you, by the pool.
2. To the right, between two girls.
3. To the left of the two girls, by the girl on the wall.
4. Two girls past #3, by the pool.
5. Girls in the corner past #4. Head back to entrance.
6. Girl in the left corner.
7. Girls along left wall on the couch.
8. Dance in the music area.
Doing all of the above will net you the 'Social Butterfly' trophy!
Also note that Gambit is in the corner playing the keyboard. Heh. When you
are done, go try to talk to Rouge.
Of course Deadpool finally snaps out of it. Rouge gets taken away and we have
to deal with some melee soldiers (Girls!) and Wallmen. The wallmen in
particular are annoying. They are fairly standard melee soldiers (with
teleporting abilities) but they can phase into and hang onto the walls and
shoot purple energy at you. Eck! Shoot them down if they go up there. They
can really kill a combo if you don't take care of any wall-hanging wallmen
first!
Head into the next room for another good battle with tons of melee troops on
the ground, two wallmen, and soldiers shooting at you from above. Once you
take them out some more wallmen will show up and shoot from the walls. Take
them out for another wave of shielded enemies and some more gunmen (good
combo fodder).
Whew. You kill them all? Good. Enter the door nearby and check under the
stairs for DP then head up. Take the left path for some DP and then continue
on the only other path. Check out the showers on the left first for DP and
a "Shower Action" prompt by one of the showers (FAQ author shakes head
slowly...).
Go use the console now and you'll turn on the juice. Head down and kill the
two wallmen that show up, then interact with the live wires in a way only
Deadpool can! A short scene occurs here (hilarious!). Continue on through
the door. Once you reach another hallway some wallmen will attack with some
melee soldiers. Take them out (try to take out the wallmen first if you care</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
about combos). Head down to the far left ramp and take the right doorway first
for some DP. Head back and go left now to another hallway. Grab the DP and
Taco down the ramp and continue.
Keep heading down this linear path and destroy whatever pops up. You'll run
into some small groups of wallmen and soldiers. Easy pickings. At the end use
a console to open up a cell and head through. Up ahead you'll see Blockbuster
and Rogue. You'll also see a river of sewage. Uck... Fortunately Deadpools
thoughts give him platforms to jump across! Ha!
Feel free to use the thought bubbles if you wish, but it is unnecessary. Do
note that if you just stand on them they will pop. Also note that the sewage
will KILL you in a matter of seconds if you stay in it! Yikes! Whatever you
do be sure to get the stash of coins in the middle of the sewage river (use
the garbage as platforms) and the stash of coins on the upper level in the
middle (use the broken staircases to get up there).
Head through the first door to a second river section. Head up the ramp on
the left to some DP coins and use the garbage to jump over to the other side.
Continue on a bit and a wallman will attack. Take him out but beware of two
wallmen and a gunman attacking from the left. You can shoot the explosive
barrels by the gunman for a quick kill but the wallmen take a little longer.
Take them out and then wait for the second lane of garbage to show up and
double jump to it and then to the center area (don't bother with the first
lane). Once you're in the center wait for the far lane of garbage again and
use it to jump to the far ledge.
Here two soldiers will come down to die. Kill them and head up. Some more
soldiers will try to stop you but press forward to an open area above the
sewage. Here several soldiers will attack. Use the explosive barrels if you
can and mop up the rest. At the far end a lave brute will attack. Put down
a bear trap and hammer him to death, then use his grenade launcher to clear
the next section (full of soldiers and another lava beast). Gather all the
DP and ammo and drop down to the right once you are done.
We'll be at yet ANOTHER sewer river section. Gah. Watch the garbage pattern
for a bit and you'll see the far three garbage lines make a "V" shape. You
want to jump on the second garbage line as soon as you can (Double jump)
then QUICKLY jump to the fourth and to the platform. From there you can get
to the middle platform easily and then you can see a ledge near where the
fourth line of garbage spawns. Jump on the third line of garbage once it
appears, then the fourth (wait a second) and then up the ledge.
Up here blow up the explosive barrels and jump over to the ledge they make.
You'll find a huge chest here (we like huge chests) and open it for... a
JRPG trope! Yea! We can also use special teleport prompts now!
Head back to the opening and use the prompt to teleport to the higher up
ledge to the right. Find another ledge in the distance with the teleport
circle by it. To get to this one double jump out there and use the teleport
prompt when you can and we're home free.
Continue on and kill the three girls that show up (what a pity). Drop down
after they are dead. Down here you need to use your enhanced teleport to get
upward, using the circular platforms. On the way kill the soldiers that show
up and explore the second floor for DP. At the top will be a series of rooms
with gunmen and Gambit soldiers before you reach the final room with some
stairs and Wolverine girls.
Take the stairs up kill the guard you meet. Now that we are further up we'll
need to use two more circular platforms to reach the other side of the
compound. Once you are over there hang a right for DP and a fight with two
soldiers, then head left for some gunmen and Gambit Soldiers. Use the wall
jump area after them to reach another cell block.
Here explore the area to your left to find some DP by a door. Head back and
look for a circular platform on the ground floor to use our enhanced teleporter
on. Head upward again and once more. On this third platform you may be tempted
to jump to the ledge in the distance. Don't. Drop down slightly to a forth
slanted platform and jump to the ledge close to it. You can follow this path
jumping from gap to gap until you can see Mr. Snuggums in the distance. Good
boy!
From here jump to the platform with the teleporter prompt and to the door after
that. Drop down when you can. Some nerds will probably get offended coming up
here. Oh well. Proceed through the maintenance areas searching every nook and
cranny for DP coins before teleporting on to another maintenance area (search
here too, duh!). Soon you'll be able to drop through a hole in the floor.
Drop down and you'll see Rouge. Search behind the ramp to the left for DP
coins and head up. Grab the coins and watch the scene. Make the camera follow
Deadpool and you'll see his plan: blow shit up. Should have guessed! Once you
can teleport to the next beam and grab all the coins on it. Jump to the next
beam. You can get the coins to the right by double jumping around the polls.
If you fall be sure to teleport when the prompt pops up to save yourself.
Continue down to the platform and use the equipment on the right to hop up
a level. Stealth kill the guard here and go back to find DP coins on a nearby
ledge. Continue on down the tunnel, stealth kill another guard and use the
wall jump to get higher up.
Grab the coin and head out to a beam. Now to the right is a beam with three
high value DP coins on it. You can get to it by double jumping and teleporting
to it, but be careful. It's worth it for 6K DP. From that beam you can jump
down to where you were before and make your way back up to the upper beam.
Use it to jump to the central area. You can nab DP coins here and stealth
kill guards (up to three) before having to drop down.
Drop down the center gap and nab some coins. Mr. Sinister will be nearby if
you care to look. Set the second charge and look out to the right. There's a
teleport point out there, you just have to double jump to it. Do so and
gather up the coins. The next teleport spot is above you so look around for
it, double jump and teleport to it. Double jump to the beams and gather the
coins (three of them in total) before setting the last charge.
Now its time to deal with Sinister. Head to solid ground, nab all the coins
and interact with the red tunnel at the end. Continue on to the right and
you'll see Sinister pacing around. Deadpool and company (his voices) decide
to kill him stealthily to see if he dies "for reels" this time. Continue on
to the left and drop down the hole.
OK, we have some goons to deal with first. Stay in this enclosed area until
the guard looks away, then go stealth kill him. Head back inside the doors
and watch the guards from here. The close one walks back and forth. Wait until
he walks either direction (I prefer to the left) and sneak up and stealth kill
him too. Two left. Sneak up to the stairs (either side) and wait for the guard
to come to you. He will look away (thankfully) and be open to a stealth kill.
Here you should now collect the DP coins in the seating areas by both
stairways. The last guard will walk up the steps and walk around behind
Sinister. He does a walking routine up there: he spends some time watching
the stairs, then spends two quick turns looking away. Collect the coins by the
stairs (grab the first batch, wait for him to start his two turns looking away,
grab the second batch) and then get ready to kill him. As soon as he stops
looking at the stairs, sneak up them and kill him.
Now all that is left is Sinister. Follow the prompt and enjoy the scenes.
This should net you the 'Game Over!' trophy as well.
Oh wait, not quite. We'll load into the arena I guess (and get the 'Game On!'
trophy automatically), right into another boss fight:
BOSS: Blockbuster
Well, this is an interesting fight. Not really. It's actually pretty
straight-forward. It would be entirely TOO easy if Blockbuster didn't have
constant (and unlimited) backup from melee henchman.
Blockbuster starts out with three attacks and gains one more as his health
gets low. His first attack is a standard melee combo. You stand too close
to him for too long and you're going to have a bad time! The second attack
is where he picks up a chunk of rock (or pillar or whatever) and chucks it
at you. Ouch! The third one is your bread and butter for damaging him: his
charge attack. When he charges you, you have a chance to COUNTER his charge.
This makes Deadpool sling around to his back and shoot him in the head. This
only stuns Blockbuster though so lay into him afterward (Hammers work nicely).
Your general goal here is to run around and wait for his charge attack. You
can beat up on minions in the meantime, but focus on Blockbuster when he is
stunned. I don't really recommend traps due to all the minions around.
Grenades are OK though. Guns are decent but just be sure to counter his
charge.
The fourth attack he'll add in when his health starts taking a hit is a
jumping ground pound. He'll jump towards you and slam the ground, sending
out a shockwave. This doesn't deal a lot of damage but you can jump and
avoid it anyway. One last note: he does have a special move he can do if he
is near you and you get caught off guard (by another enemy, perhaps) where
he'll pick you up and piledrive you. Cool stuff. I mean, uh.. bad stuff.
Don't get hit!
Keep up your countering and attacks and this fight will be over soon enough.
Watch the scenes afterward until you are in control of Rogue. Yep, Rouge. She
is fighting with Deadpools katanas and can't do much more than light and heavy
attacks. Still, enjoy the mixed up combo animations and keep killing until you
see a scene. This will actually end the chapter.
===============================================================================
DEATH, BABY
=====================================================================[DP-06]===
Deep within the Genoshan catacombs, Sinister's plan is revealed. Or is it?
It probably is. What do I know? I'm just text.
Well, we start the chapter hanging from our entrails. Lovely. Watch the guards
really phone in the tips. Ugh. The guard will throw our legs into the cart.
Time to climb up our entrails! Use the prompts to climb and cut yourself down.
Aye-aye-aye. We are on top of another dude now. Not cool. You can KINDA move
around but you can't really go anywhere (the game won't let you), so focus on
shooting the red barrels as minions stand around them for some explosive fun
(the FAQ authors would like to apologize for that last sentence...). Soon
enough the baddies will wisen up and throw grenades at us, queing a cut-scene.
Press the on-screen prompt when Death appears to get a bio reading.
After that we'll be in a mine cart. Not for long though: they forgot to pull
the lever. Get out and kill them all. Time to explore! You can get some funny
dialog by playing with the keg machine. From the mine cart look around for a
giant statue. There's a high value DP coin behind it. Nearby down a corridor
is a wall-jump area you can take up, so do so to find a chest at the top.
1500 DP for you! Jump over to the nearby hole in the wall and beyond that for
a 2ND chest. Once you've opened it look to the right for a 3RD! Oh man. Head
back to the 2nd chest and jump to the platform to the left to find a 4TH chest.
Now head back to the 2nd and find the wooden platforms surrounding the nearby
pillar. Use them to jump to the next pillar's platform and circle around to
find a 5TH chest. Do they ever stop!?
Yes. Yes they do. After all of that go hit the lever the guards wouldn't shut
up about. Get in and go. Not much to do on this ride, just enjoy the Indiana
Jones-esque music. Soon you'll see Cable battling foes. Get out and join him
when you can. The only one to worry about is the weatherman IMO! Once they
are all dead, Death will show up and tell you to pick one of the funky statues
at the end of the stairs.
May as well do this in order:
NOTE: Do the YELLOW STATUE last for a trophy at the end of the chapter.
o Green Statue (Hear No Evil):
Take the statue and follow Death through the door. This next room has a bunch
of melee enemies for you (although some of them are energy shooters and can
mess up a combo, so be wary!). Once you take the first wave out the enemies
above will RAIN grenades down on you. Run around and teleport to remain
safe-ish. You're bound to get hit once or twice. After the barrage they will
come down, but some explosive barrels will still likely remain so use them to
help you mop up the enemies. A lift will then come down for your ascending
pleasure.
Take it up and follow the path to another room. Kill the dues in here and
another lift (with a dude) will come down. Ride it up and follow the path
until you come to some more foes. These guys can spin around and chuck shit
at you, so take them down quick and be ready to evade. Wallmen will show up
as well. Annoying wall men. With enough killing, the doors to the right will
open up. This next room is, well... full of enemies. Not right away, gut
there's a lot of waves of Gambit Soldiers (Mon Ami! x1000) and gunmen. Take
them out but be careful of exploding to bits!
Once everything is dead, Death will appear and you are supposed to follow
her. Let's not do that. Instead, explore the upper and lower sections for
DP a-plenty. Especially the lower sections. Lots of DP in little nooks and
whatnot. Once you have them all, go meet up with Death.
This next section is interesting. We have to stay in Death's Light. Well,
we don't HAVE to, but being in the darkness KILLS us. Not fun. MORE IMPORTANTLY
is the fact that there are TREASURE CHESTS down here. 11 of them. We want them
all for a trophy, so let's do this all professional-like. Remember to teleport
to save time between chests. You can stay in the dark for a LITTLE bit but only
when going after groups of chests (like 2-5).
Grab the first one to the right (1/11) as Death tells you to stay in her light.
Head forward and to the left you'll see a bunch of chests. Head right past the
obvious right one for a semi-hidden chest (2/11) then quickly get back to the
right chest (3/11). Now before following Death look to the left and quickly
grab that chest (4/11), the follow her path and grab chest 5/11.
Oh man, 2-5 was rough. Follow Death now and you'll "have a visitor" soon.
Kill the wallman that shows up ASAP. Once that is done Deadpool will ask Death
to pick up the pace. Follow her up the stairs for chest 6/11 and up the next
set of stairs for 7/11. Easy. Now a tough part. Past the next doorway QUICKLY
get to the right for chest 8/11, then to the left for chest 9/11. Further up
a bit and to the far left is chest 10/11. Get back to the light ASAP after
that and you'll be at the end, right by chest 11/11.
And so for playing in the dark we will gain the 'Diggin' in the Crates' trophy.
Nice.
Head forward and... jump down the pipe... Yeah.
Side-scroller time! Wall jump up and up ahead you'll see some spears. Wait
until they retract and use them like a wall jump for the DP coins. Drop down
now and head past the spears, grabbing the coin and wall jumping up. A giant
skull here will spit out smaller skulls. Awesome! Wait for the spears here to
drop down and then jump on them and over to a chest near the giant skull. Drop
down the wall jump area and jump back up to collect all the coins. Down below
are some skeletons to kill on your way to a lever on the left.
Use it to open the path onward. A TON of skeletons will attack on your way
back, so spend time killing them all and countering. Travel around the wall
and use your enhanced teleport to find some high value coins above you. Use
the next lever and then QUICKLY jump from step to step to the wall jump. An
enhanced teleport prompt is coming up so use it and head RIGHT first to
another skeleton and a wall jump area FILLED with coins. Nab them all and
head up. Kill the badies and to the left use the wall jump area to get more
coins, then head back up and use the next lever.
This one warps you to another (2D style) area so get out of the lava quick
and head right. Jump over the fireballs with your awesome timing. You'll meet
up with the keg machine again! Reunion! Oh crap, it hates us...
BOSS? : Keg Machine!
The keg machine will get some life bars and spit barrels at us. Go ahead
and hit them right back at him. Oh the humanity! As you fight the barrels
will pop out skeletons as well, so do your best to kill them off while still
hitting barrels back at the keg machine. Pretty soon this "Boss" fight will
be over.
You'll be back in the hub area now with Cable. Join in on the killing of
mutants. Or skeletons. Y'know, anything that moves. Once they are dead return
the spirit statue. Time to do another one.
o Purple Statue (See No Evil):
Head up the stairs and to the right you'll see a platform in the distance.
Jump to it and to the left follow it down to TREASURE! Yeah! Head back up
and at the top of the next stairs jump down to the lower left platform.
Nearby is a wall jump. Walk past it down a small ramp to a treasure chest,
then return to the wall jump to get higher up and open another chest. Keep
following the path and drop down and forward as Death urges you on.
Continue down the pathway until you see a wall jump area to your right. Fall
down and find a chest down here then return up. Further in are soldiers. You
can stealth kill a number of them but soon a fight will erupt as the doors
get breached. In this second area kill off the waves of soldiers. Some are
shielded and others have the yellow energy shots (HATE those guys). Track down
all the gunmen and cross a bridge to a third area. Kill off the few gunmen over
here and soon Death will approach with a boat. Hop on to enjoy a (very cool)
scene.
At the end, go try to open the spirit box. This would have been too easy
though, eh? *Sigh. Ok, let's go find those talking heads. Jump to the floor on
the left. Let's start out by going to the far left and up the wall jump path.
This leads to a room with TWO treasure chests in it. Nab them and jump up to
the upper platform outside. This leads to a cave with a chest and a QUIZ GAME
BOOTH.
This is pretty easy. The Great Deadpoolio will give you an object and ask you
what beats it. Multiple choice questions! Yea! Get these right, because they
are worth 5,000 DP each!
What beats...
1. Rock? Paper!
2. Cowboy Ninja!
3. Armageddon Cockroach!
4. Elephant Mouse!
5. Water Ice!
Easy DP. Head outside and the "Deadpool Game Contest Winner" will show up.
Which is apparently a Weatherman with some guy's face on it. I can't make
this stuff up! Ha!
This particular weatherman has a TON of health. It took me emptying my
Shotgun, Machine Guns AND Plasma Gun into it to bring it down! Impressive!
Once it is dead head up the second wall jump area and follow the path.
This Deadpoolio isn't nearly as fun (I just answered the "Elephant" option
and won...). Be sure to grab the chest.
Once you are done with that, head down to the ground floor and follow the
path to the last room. After the Deadpoolio's speech, go walk over the BIG
pink icon to turn BIG. Now, go open the big treasure chest by the Deadpoolio
machine and then go use the giant lever. Next, go walk over the SMALL pink
icon to turn small. Go open the small treasure chest now and then go through
the door. This "Solves" this riddle. Wait, was that a riddle? Meh...
Head back to the spirit chest now and open it. Once again we'll get warped
back to the hub area and get to fight baddies with Cable. Easy. Once they
are all dead go return the spirit urn thingy and get ready for the last one!
o Yellow Statue (Speak No Evil):
Well, here we are. In line. At a carnival.
For a trophy's sake, choose to "Be Patient" whenever you can. This will
eventually give you the 'Patience is not a Virtue' trophy. Was it worth it?
After that enjoy the ride until it turns into a... well, ship thing... and
you get a cannon. That fires beach balls. Yeah, this is Deadpool's game
alright...
Soon a curtain will raise and you'll be in shooting game. Our goal here is
to shoot the following: Tickets, Evil Clowns (clowns), Monsters and the
spinny-thing that has Deadpool's face on it.
Doing so gives you points. Do NOT shoot the women. Note that the tickets DO
respawn after awhile. Also, watch the arch on your beach balls. Beating the
high score nets you a trophy. You should be able to do this without too much
trouble since Bkstunt managed it and he had NO idea what was going on when he
tried... (Hey, who wrote that!? I'll have you know he's a PRO gamer! P-R-O!).
Beating the high score nets you the 'Officially a Carny' trophy.
Next you'll be in a weird memory of Wade undergoing operations (Weapon X
program). Shoot the doctors and nurses that show up. They'll try to stab you
with needles (which hurts!). Just keep shooting and soon you'll transition to
another scene.
Next up is a crazy montage of Sentinels bombarding and chasing a running
Deadpool and Wolverine. Quality time with Wolvey. Yep! Shoot at the Sentinels
and destroy shit. Try and shoot at the cards (tickets) for power ups as you go.
After that is one more shooting game: shooting all the messed up shit coming
out of Wade's head. Those little demon things. Heck, even Wade recognizes this
is a metaphor for how messed up he is. Keep at it until the Deadpool head comes
back together and you can go on. Watch the scenes.
Soon you'll be back with Cable. Help him kill shit (mostly the annoying
weathermen) and you'll be able to place the statue down afterward.
Enjoy the ending scenes of the chapter. Since you ended with the Yellow Statue,
you should get the 'ARRR-Rated' trophy here. Yeah!
===============================================================================
THE ROAD TO VICTORY
=====================================================================[DP-07]===
Back on the surface of Genosha, the X-Men are preparing to assault Sinister's
Citadel.
Watch the scenes here as Wolverine is finally awake. After awhile he'll run
off as Deadpool tries to eat a banana. The look on his face as it falls is
just... oh man.
Well, this place is being torn to shreds. Get a move on! Head inward and you'll
come to a four-sided wall jump. One of the sides has DP coins so head up it.
At the top more "Crazy Bitches" will come out to play. Head INSIDE to kill them
off, as a weatherman shows up in a bit and he can't hit you inside (Divide and
Conquer and all of that).
Once they are dead gather the coins and head out the left exit until the
walkway breaks down. Keep going and you'll have to fight two Fatsos with a
shielded squad of enemies (mainly crazy bitches). They can be tough with their
belly-flops so shoot them as they come and once you are in the middle of battle
throw out some traps (bear traps / mines) to help yourself out.
Head to the left of the stairs to find DP coins leading up to the upper level.
Up here you'll face more gunmen and crazy bitches, but also one of those clawed
green beast things (I just emptied my shotgun into it). Fight your way forward
to the end and enter the subway. Jump through the wall when you can and make
your way through the rubble. Deadpool will enter sneak mode when the enemy is
near (as well as talk about Sinister), so get ready for some stealth.
The first guy spends one turn looking our direction and two turns not, so he's
easy to kill. The second guy doesn't even look our way while the third moves in
and out of the bathroom nearby. You can use these pillars to hide behind but
these first three goons are easy stealth kills.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to check out the BATHROOM to the left. There is 3
high-value DP coins inside as well as some pistol ammo. You NEED to pick up all
of it. If you are full on pistol ammo, go outside and start a fight with the
soldiers and blue brute around the corner (which you have to do anyway since
you can't stealth the brute). Use your ammo in the fight or just shoot the
ground afterwards. Doesn't matter. Once you've picked up the 3 DP coins and
ammo you will get the 'Spawn more Deadpool-lords' trophy!
So you've killed the rest of the soldiers and the blue brute right? Good.
Now continue on and you'll be on top of an office building. You can stealth
kill the three guards patrolling below if you wish. If you want to, drop down
the first hole and hide behind the cubicles to see their movements. Two walk
by the stairway. You can kill the left one off easily while the right one walks
away (then kill the right one easily after that). The last guard is at the end
of the building walking around (the cubicles make stealth super easy here). If
you go in guns blazing you'll fight them and some guards from across the way
in a second building. Note that there is also a momentum taco up on the second
level.
After that I recommend just killing the soldiers across the way (I imagine you
can stealth them, but the DP isn't as good). They are mostly gunmen. Once they
are dead we have two important things to do. The first is DP coin collecting!
In the second building you can find two DP coins. You can find two more right
outside around the corner as well. Also, near the first building up the stairs
(near where you came in from) is two more DP coins.
IMPORTANT! The second important thing we need to do is get another trophy.
In the first building in a cubicle in the VERY BACK of the first floor is a
COPY/FAX machine. Go shoot it. This will give you the 'PC LOAD LEAD-ER' trophy!
I like to think this was Office Space inspired. Damn it feels good to be a
gangster...
Ok, moving on. To continue head to the second building and outside of it head
up the stairs. You'll see a teleport icon. Just walking up the stairs gets the
bad guys attention though, and you'll see a blue brute coming after you. He has
a new weapon too: a heavy chain gun. Unload your pulse rifles into him (there
is ammo nearby) and let him jump over (he probably will before you can kill him
anyways). A bear trap or mine waiting for him is a good idea. Take him down
fast to stop the chaingun and let you pick it up, as several melee soldiers are
incoming. Try out the gun on them as you can't take it with you when you
teleport.
Once they are dead head up the stairs and continue on. At the end of the path
grab the DP coin and enter the building. Kill the three chumps here and use
the power switch at the end. This opens the doors at the beginning of the hall
and a TON of Gambit Soldiers will attack. Theres some gunmen mixed in but you
want to take out the Gambit Clones first as they are deadly. Still, taking out
so many is entertaining, no?
Head in where they came from and hang a left. Look out the window for a ledge
to jump too (DP Coins!). Grab the DP coins in this room and the next (there's
two high value ones) before dropping down the hole. Here grab three more DP
coins and head outside to use a wall jump. You'll land by... our boot! And it's
gone... damn, I liked riding in that thing! Bah. Three chumps will attack as
soon as it is gone so waste them.
Head in the office and hang a left. Head up the stairs and follow the path
(ramp) over the rubble. Keep going up stairs and another ramp to fight some
soldiers. Be careful of the gunmen and retreat if you need to (grenades help
here). Teleport using the icon to the next building and head inside. Drop down
and stop for a second. We're about to breach the door! Before you do, read the
note below...
NOTE: There is a trophy related to this breaching event. If you can complete
the Breach in 10 seconds, you can get the 'I can open doors!' trophy.
This is pretty rough. First of all let me say all you get to use is
your pistols, so upgrading them is a good idea (damage!). Getting more
grenades and having them equipped will help a ton too. Below is a good
description of what to do to get this trophy.
You'll enter the room guns drawn pointing at a soldiers head. Fire off
a bullet, then quickly chuck a grenade to the back. Next, immediately
start shooting the guys on the left by the table (they try to take
cover) or if you have a lot of grenades chuck one there too. Head
forward and mop up (aim for the head) and soon you'll see health bars
coming in through the next door. Chuck a grenade so it can welcome them.
These soldiers are shielded, so chuck two if you have them and shoot
like crazy. You should be able to kill off the last guy right before
slow-mo ends (you can do it SHORTLY afterward, but you must be QUICK!).
If you fail to get the trophy you can "Restart From Last Checkpoint" to
try again.
Whew, that was rough. Gather up the ammo and head upstairs to... that bike
we saw earlier. Ha! Get on and hit the screen prompts to see a scene. Soon
we'll be done with the chapter.
===============================================================================
FRONT GATES OF EEEEEEEVIL!
=====================================================================[DP-08]===
Sinister awaits Deadpool in his citadel. He's got a doorbell. You've got a
paper bag full of poop and a lighter.
Chapter Note: If you want the 'I am Deadpool' trophy, play through this
chapter ONLY using your katanas and handguns. Probably best
done on a second playthrough. Yes, you can do it on easy...
Chapter Note: If you can get through the chapter without dying (easily done
on the easy difficulty), you will gain the 'Suck it, Wolverine!'
trophy.
Well, that was fun. This area has a bunch of floating chunks of land. First
things first though, get out a gun and take care of the two weathermen in the
distance. A quick note before we start landmass hopping:
NOTE: If you can get from the start of the chapter to about half-way through
without falling to your demise (or falling at ALL, to be more precise),
you can earn a trophy. We'll let you know when you've made it with
another note.
Now use the right landmass as a starting point and jump from landmass to
landmass working your way forward. You'll see a teleport icon before long
once you get to stable land.
Here grab the DP coins and fight the melee soldiers that rush you. After
taking them out take out the gunman in the distance. This platform has quite
a few coins on it. First it has 1K DP coins to the left and right of the
balcony. Next, head to the far left area to find gold DP coins by a railing.
Finally teleport up to the balcony (there is an icon) to find even more coins.
Next head out to more floating chunks of land past the balcony. These lead
forward near some gunmen (kill them if you wish; you can't jump over there)
and then to the right to even more gunmen. You can actually reach the right
gunmen, so jump to that stable piece of land and take them out. Head into
the cave to fight two melee soldiers and gather DP. Follow the string of
floating islands past the cave to make your way to the next big chunk of land
(you can shoot the gunmen if you wish).
Teleport to the balcony and get ready for a blue brute with a chaingun to
attack. Take him out (Bear Trap + Hammers works wonders) and use his gun to
kill the remaining soldiers. The balconies here have DP coins. There's also
some gold DP coins to the left up some steps and behind the steps on the right
side of the island. Grab them all and head to the far end of this island to
find more floating platforms.
NOTE: Once you get past this next set of floating platforms to the next big
piece of land (without falling) you will gain the 'Let's-a-Go!' trophy.
An obvious Mario reference.
Follow these ones to another big chunk of land (kill the weatherman in the
distance first). There's a TON of gunmen over here, so either get over there
quick and hide behind a pillar when you need to or shoot a couple down on your
way. Once you are over there, take the gunmen out and head upwards. There's two
smaller chunks of land ahead to the left and right with floating platforms
inbetween. Take out the gunmen hiding in each. There's more gunmen further up
you can pick off as well. From the two center platforms you can make your way
further to the left and right respectively to two more smaller platforms each
with gold DP coins on them before heading to the bigger central platform to
finish off the rest of the gunmen. Fun!
Check the center platform for a gold DP coin on a balcony and then continue
upward using the nearby teleport icon. Up here we are in for the fight of our
life. THREE Fat dudes come strolling up. PLUS there are gunmen on the railings
nearby. Yikes!
Start off by shooting the hell out of one of them (ammo is about to be
plentiful, trust me). Seriously, drain a gun. When all three close in evade
while throwing traps and grenades. All of that firepower should kill 1-2 off
at least. Just mop up from there. Once they are dead, some lower gates will be
opened and a bunch of melee clones (Wolverine chicks and guys with swords) will
come out to fight.
Move into the building (where they come from; pick a side) and fight in the
building. This gets you out of the gunfire and let's you focus on killing the
melee soldiers. Take them out and more doors will open leading to the upper
level. Take some time and search both lower buildings to restock on ammo and
supplies. You can also search up near the doors outside for more ammo. After
that, head to the left building and some stairs leading up to the upper level
will be unlocked (the stairs in the right building are still locked).
Head up and start a gun battle. There may be some melee guys to take out
still but there's a ton of gunmen. Pick at least some of them off from range
instead of rushing in as the bullets can HURT (you can always retreat down
the stairs until your healing factor kicks in). Search around up here for
some gold DP coins near the ledge and ammo aplenty. Further in on the far
left hand path are some more gold DP coins. Kill off all the gunmen and
search the back area for a staircase.
This staircase leads to a walkway connecting over to the right side. Once
you head over there you'll face more gunmen. Take them out. You'll face
some reinforcements as well: a blue brute with a chain gun and some of those
energy card clones. Use a bear trap on the brute for an easy victory.
Sinister is PISSED at this point and will send TWO blue brutes at you with
some gunmen. It's a good idea to grab the chain gun and use that to take them
out (you can even get more ammo from them once you kill them). Another wave is
coming, so after killing the two brutes get ready!
Once they are dead, Sinister will send another wave of clones at you. This
wave includes a number of Gambit Exploding clones. They come from the two
lower rooms, so be ready for them and don't get trapped in a corner. You can
use the chain gun to cut them down, just be careful and don't focus on one
spot too long or else they will hit you from the side. Fighting up by the doors
isn't a bad idea (neither is running around). You'll face more card throwers
and energy clones as well. A big fight to be sure. But its about to get a whole
lot bigger:
A small cut-scene will play, and then...
BOSS: Blockbuster, Arclight & Vertigo
That's right, you'll now fight all THREE at once. They all have their same
moves from before, clone or not...
First things first: Priorities. There's a certain order to handle these guys
that can make our life easier. Our first target should be Vertigo. We can get
rid of the annoying screen crap. She's the only one not actively fighting us,
instead choosing to cause us headaches. She's over by the left balcony, so
lure the other two away and head over there and shoot her. Shooting her once
will kill her and stop the screen crap.
HOWEVER, killing her makes a card clone (Gambit) come down. This thing is
just a clone though (evidenced by the fact that you can stun it and
instant-kill it). Still, it is annoying and should be dealt with. Stunning
and insta-killing is preferred (hammers) for a quick death. You have to worry
about Blockbuster and Arclight still though. Keep on the move and try to
target the clone when you can. In the meantime be sure to counter Blockbusters
charge to buy yourself time and then you can REALLY target the clone.
When it is down to just Blockbuster and Arclight you'll want to run around
(evade) until Blockbuster charges. Counter him and then focus on Arclight.
Evade her area attacks with teleport and lay into her (fully upgraded hammers
help). Keep this pattern up to take her down.
Now that it is just you and Blockbuster, life is much easier. Countering and
laying into him is a breeze. You can bring the fight to him if you are
comfortable (although that may result in some back-breakers) but if all else
fails just counter and stun him. Do try to save some ammo though as we have
more fighting to do in a bit.
How was that for a fight? Pretty good, right? Well, here comes Mr. Sinister!
Er, make that Sinisters....
NOTE: Last boss fight of the game. Upgrade shit now if you want! Having
upgraded momentum attacks makes this fight EASY...
BOSS: Mr. Sinister(s)
There can never be just one, huh?
We are about to fight a TON of Mr. Sinisters. Don't worry, they are just
clones. Well, most of them. Still, these clones can put an ouch on you.
They have a melee combo that can end in an energy shot (if they wish),
they can shoot out rays, they can float up and shoot out a stream of
energy shots... get the picture? They can shoot a lot of crap at you.
They can also just grab you and shoot you away.
Still, they don't have TOO much health and as clones you can stun them
and instant-kill them (The Hammer's first momentum attack is great for
this: save if for when three clones are after you). Feel free to melee
attack when you have health and when you don't run like a bitch and use
your guns until you do. As clones they can also be countered when they are
about to attack you. Note however that when they are blocking (purple glow
by the hands), if you attack you will be countered yourself (Good to know,
Mr. FAQ Author!).
Take out the first two while building and saving momentum. You can surprise
attack from behind pillars but with the hammers you can often slow them down
and take them both out without needing to retreat for health. The next set of
clones roles out now. Wait until there are three of them out and grouped up
(one will give the others increased damage) and use your first ('X') hammer
momentum attack. This will stun all three of them if they are in a group and
let you insta-kill all of them. Wowza! You can, in fact, spam momentum moves
to take out the Sinisters if you wanted to (This is where those momentum
upgrades shine).
After the damage upgrade Sinister, you'll face another wave of shielded
Sinisters. Use up your momentum attacks and focus on the shielded clone.
Once you are done with them you have around six more clones to fight and
they'll start to come out four at a time. If you are low on momentum here
run around and use up your ammo and grenade types to help out a ton (Bear
Traps can hold these guys and let you wail on them). Don't forget the ammo
refills by the front door.
Once you've killed off all of the Sinisters the REAL Mr. Sinister will show
up. The X-Men will show up as well so let them fight while Deadpool and you
have a chat. You need to press the button prompt to continue but, if you want,
you can NOT press it and listen to all the comments Deadpool has to say about
that (pretty funny). If you don't press it the game will after a time though.
And with that, you've beaten Deadpool. Congrats!
