Anyone who wishes to e-mail me please put the name of
the walkthrough in the subject box as any mail I receive
will go straight into my junk mail folder for me to sort
out. This way your mail won't get accidentally deleted.
This walkthrough is for the PC version of the game.
This is my first attempt at writing a Walkthrough so any
feedback whether good, bad or indifferent would be
appreciated. Also, if anyone would like to add any
contributions to it then please let me know. Credit
will be given to you. I would really appreciate your
help.
Version 1
21 December 2003
I started to type up this walkthrough on 20 December
2003. I have done the table of contents, legal notice
and all about the commandos. I am taking my time with
this as it is my first attempt. Also, I am writing this
as I am doing the game so please bear with me when it
comes to me actually getting round to the main part -
the WALKTHROUGH.
Version 2
8 January 2004
Sorry for the lack of updates but I don't have much more
than an hour at times to finish things. I have finished
doing all about the movement, tactical interface, allied
soldiers, Nazi army and helpful tips. I have finished
the first two missions of Stalingrad but have only added
the first mission: Eliminate the Sniper.
Version 3
15 January 2004
I have tidied up the walkthrough a bit and also added
the second mission and the help and objectives for the
third mission for the Stalingrad campaign. I will be
completing the third mission walkthrough hopefully by
the end of January.
Version 4
16 January 2004
I sorted out all the spelling mistakes and took out the
Hotkeys as they were all over the place.

Green Beret
Jack 'Butcher' O'Hara
Hotkey 1
Date of Birth: 10 October 1909
Place of Birth: Dublin
Country: Ireland
Height: 6 feet 5 inches
Weight: 220 pounds
Rank: Sergeant
Born in Dublin on the 10th October 1909, Jack was the
heavy-weight champion of the Army boxing league from
1934 to 1937 consecutively. He was sentenced by a
military jury to 14 years hard labour after knocking out
an official, superior in rank. He was pardoned his
sentence when he accepted the offer to join the
commandos group.
He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant after the battle
of Vaagso Island where after being shot in the arm he
was isolated from his unit and without using a single
firearm, sneaked into a bunker and killed the 16 enemy
soldiers inside before going back to the allied
frontline. He is very aggressive and reluctant to
accept orders, this is a real "problem" for his
superiors and a nightmare for his enemies.
Skills
He is the biggest member of the group and his tremendous
strength allows him to fight, knock out and tie enemies
very quickly. He is able to knock down virtually every
door, jump from incredible heights, climb poles and
swing along wires. He is also the second faster runner
of the group of Commandos and his amazing stamina allows
him to withstand flesh wounds and gunshots that would
kill any other.
His preferred lethal weapons are his knife and his bare
hands, he can use both in deadly combination especially
when he uses the element of surprise. His enemies don't
stand a chance.
Special skills

Commander of the German Army with a single shot, at a
distance of over a mile, during the Narvak invasion.
Skills
He is cool and self controlled - all his actions are
perfectly calculated. He will very rarely waste a
bullet. He his considered one of the best snipers in
the world. His most common missions involve clearing a

Rank: Private
He was born in Australia on 3 August 1911. He joined
the Navy where his ability to swim and row greatly
accelerated his promotion to the rank of Captain. Two
years later, his aggressive character and his repeated
disobedience were to blame for his demotion to the rank
of Private within the Commandos group. In 1940 he was
honoured with the Military Cross, after his heroic
evacuation of 45 men from the beach of Dunkirk after it
had been taken by the enemy.

He graduated in Chemistry and he was 22 when he joined
the Fire Brigade where he specialized as an expert in
High Risk Explosives. In 1939 he joined the Army and
one year later joined the Commandos group as a

successful missions. During the assault on "Saint
Nazare" he was responsible for all the controlled
explosions that flooded the harbour buildings and killed
numerous German enemies.

Berlin, where he learned relevant information about
several members of the Hitler Staff. At the start of
the war, he joined the French Army and became one of the
main active leaders of the French resistance. He has
often been a valuable team member of the Commandos group
and in many occasions has been of vital help when
planning covert assault operations. His knowledge of
the tactics and personalities of the German military has
repeatedly proved its use for the English Secret
Service.
Skills
He is able to speak several languages fluently and has a
neutral instinct for imitation. These are invaluable on
his missions as a Secret Agent. One of his most common
assignments is to infiltrate enemy lines wearing a
stolen enemy uniform and divert, deceive, or give false

Height: 5 feet 2 inches
Weight: 107 pounds
Rank: Private
Born in Paris, France, on the 1 March 1916, Paul is a
recent addition to the Commandos. When the Germans
invaded Paris he decided to start his own one-man war,
entering every single house occupied by the Germans and
stealing every German wallet within his reach. In 1940
he stole Rene Duchamp's suitcase, thinking he was a
German Officer. He was greatly surprised when he found
important documents inside the suitcase and decided to
put them in the hands of the French resistance. From
this moment on he was recommended by Frenchy to the
Commandos and has been of great help since then.
Skills
He is the smallest and fastest of all the commandos.
His tiny frame is more than compensated for by his
agility to access small areas, break into houses, climb
poles and wires, and a host of other talents. This
allows him to break through enemy lines following
avenues other men would be completely unable to. He has
mastered several martial arts and he enjoys stalking and
picking the pockets of enemy soldiers. He can also open
doors and safes with his tools. His most common methods
consist of allowing other Commandos to access buildings.
He can enter buildings through windows or holes in the

he has stolen from the Germans he found on his way.

1.8 THE NAZI ARMY
Nazi soldiers can see and hear your men, be alerted by
other soldiers or alarms, and will go to investigate the
absence of a comrade. If they see a body, a strange
movement, or hear an explosion, they will be on alert,
and will be more vigilant for a period of time.
General Behavior
All of the Nazi soldiers can see you, hear you, follow
your tracks, chase you, release gagged comrades, and ask
them what happened, find dead soldiers, sound the alarm
etc.
They can be posted and cover an area, occupied with some
activity, or on patrol. If they are alerted, some will
not leave there posts, but others will go to the alarm
location.
Doberman guard dogs can smell and see you. They will
attract the enemy with their barking whilst attacking
you.
There are different ranks in the Nazi Army: soldiers,
sergeants, and officers. They are also the feared SS
and Gestapo agents.
You can wear the uniform of any of these ranking
soldiers, but the Spy will have more freedom of movement
the higher the rank of the uniform he is wearing.
Officers can recognize your Spy in disguise in the
close-range view. The SS officers will shoot him within
the close range view even if he is in disguise.
Vision
The enemy range of vision is divided into two zones. In
the furthest zone (shaded in the light green), your men
will be seen only if they are standing up.
Enemy sight has a long an short range. At long range,
the enemy will take a little time to see your Allied
soldiers standing up, and will not see them if they are
laying down. At long range, they will not see your
soldiers if they are disguised, in the shadow of a
building, or are pressed up against the wall.
In the near zone, (shaded in the darker green), your men
will always be seen.
When the enemy sees one of your men, a blue line will
show you that he is looking at you. If you continue in
his field of view, after a time the line will turn to
red and he will then begin to attack you.
If you throw a pack of cigarettes, an orange line will
indicate who is looking at it and the soldier will go to
pick it up (if allowed).
Alarm status
There are two enemy alarm statuses.
Normal and Alerted.
When the status is normal, the view is shaded green and
the soldiers take some time in reacting when they see
something out of the ordinary.
If they are in alerted status, their view is shaded red
and they act immediately if they see or hear something
suspicious. After a period of time in alerted status,
they will relax and return to normal status.
Weapons
The weapons used by the enemy depend on their rank:
Sergeants and Officers use a pistol
Soldiers have rifles and assault machine guns
There are civilian enemies who defend themselves with
there hands:
Mechanics, workmen, office workers and sailors. They
are not very dangerous, but they can sound the alarm and
attract more Nazi soldiers.
Special Units
Nazi snipers have special vision that is much longer and
narrower than that of normal soldiers. They can see
your men even if they are lying down and you will know
that they have seen you as crosshairs will appear on the
commando at which he is aiming. |If they see one of
your men, you will only have a few seconds to move him
to safety.
The grenadier unit can throw grenades both indoors and
outdoors.
There are watchtowers on cliffs that can see long
distances. If they see your commandos, they will alert
the artillery men and inform them of the position on
which to open fire.
There are heavy machine gun posts. If you take over one
of these, you can use it with your Sapper. Due to his
great strength the Green Beret can carry and fire the
machine gun at the same time as walking.
Patrols
These consist of several soldiers guided by an officer.
They patrol and also escort if required.
When an alarm is raised, more patrols will attend and
guard the area.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

1.9 Tips

Green Beret or Thief. Alternatively, you can shoot from
the top of the pole with the sniper.
You can hide behind open doors.
You can throw objects through doorways and windows.

1.10 WALKTHROUGH
The walkthrough covers 3 campaigns: Stalingrad, Central
Europe and Normandy. I will be doing them in that
order.
STALINGRAD
Briefing:
Stalingrad, Northern Sector. A vast Nazi Army has
amassed on the outskirts of the city and attack seems
imminent. However, a very important meeting must take
place here between a senior Russian Officer and Allied
General Franklin O'Donnell. This meeting is crucial and
the information exchanged could change the course of the
war on the Russian front.
We have been informed of the presence of the Nazi's best
marksman. He is here to ensure that the meeting does
not take place. Do not underestimate him. He will kill
you as soon as he sets his evil eye on you. So for gods
sakes man, keep your head down.
Good luck officer, the lives of many are in your hands.
Mission 1: Eliminate the Sniper
Location: Stalingrad
Commando(s) used: Sniper
Objectives:
Eliminate the enemy sniper before he finishes off all
your Russian Allies.
Help:
The enemy sniper can shoot further than you.
You can also find extra ammunition for your rifle. Try
not to waste it.
Walkthrough:
From your starting position head towards the little hut
that is situated to your commando's right (your left)
and watch out for the enemy sniper moving towards the
back of the church (he starts at the front of the
church). When you see that he has moved position head
to the building that your Russian Allied entered once he
spoke to your Commando. You can go in any of the three
doors but I choose to go in the first door. Head
upstairs to the first floor and take to your commando's
left (your right) and head towards the furthest away
front window. Look through the window and get your
sniper rifle and shoot the enemy sniper.
Mission over.... You will see a cut scene that takes you
into the next mission..............
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Mission 2: Protect General Franklin O'Donnell
Location: Stalingrad
Commando(s) used: Sapper, Sniper & Green Beret
Objectives:
Protect General Franklin O'Donnell.
Get all your men to the plane.
Clues:
Cover Mode: Your men can cover an area to enable
defense against an enemy and set ambushes. Press "A" to
activate Cover Mode and right-click on the environment
pressing the CTRL key to change the area of cover.
Allied soldiers can be standing, lying down, or
positioned in windows. When the soldier is in position
and sees an enemy soldier, he will automatically shoot
at him using the currently selected weapon.
Walkthrough:
Positioning your commandos
From your Commandos starting position transfer the
grenades from your Green Beret to the Sapper. The
following has to be done quickly to save yourself
getting killed. The Sapper should then run behind the
church and you will see a box with Sniper ammunition,
grenades and some first aid kits. Next get him to head
towards the demolished building, but watch your back as
their could still be some enemies (I was nearly killed
by an Officer) landing. There is a box at the entrance
near the centre of the building take the contents of it
which are a timed bomb and grenade, then head up to the
first floor at the corner and lye down. Meanwhile get
the Green Beret to follow the sapper up to the first
floor of the demolished building and also lie down. Get
your Sniper to go near where he started in the previous
mission and there you will find a box with the following
contents Anti-Personnel Mine, Sniper Ammunition and
Molokov Cocktails, take the contents then head towards
the building at the back of where the little working
man's hut is situated and you will find a box in there
with some Molokov Cocktails, Sniper Ammunition and some
First Aid Kits. Next head back outside and lay low
about two-three feet away from the door you have just
exited from and shoot any soldiers that come in your
line of fire.
Grouping your men together
When the cost is clear get your Sniper to join the
Sapper and the Green Beret on the first floor of the
demolished building.
Next you will see groups of soldiers coming across the
bridge, get your Sapper to throw a grenade when they are
close enough to kill, if you see any lone soldiers then
I would suggest you use the Molokov Cocktails to kill
them rather than wasting your grenades. I waited till
there were about 6-8 groups of soldiers and a couple of
lone soldiers that I had killed before I went to cross
the bridge. You will get a cut scene telling you that
the General is making his way to the plane.
Crossing the Bridge
Just before I crossed the bridge using my Sniper and
Sapper, I used the Sniper to kill the enemy sniper that
is situated in the corner straight over from the
demolished building. Then using a combination of the
Sniper and the Sapper I made my way over the bridge
taking the contents of both boxes which containMolokov
Cocktails, grenades, anti-personnel mines, sniper
ammunition and first aid kits on my way over. Once you
reach the other end of the bridge get your men to stay
behind the little house that is right in front of you.
Take care of the soldiers to the left of the bridge with
your Sapper throwing grenades to take them out. Use
Molokov Cocktails for any lone soldiers that are lurking
about. Alternatively, use your Sniper to take them out
with his Sniper rifle, just double check that you have
plenty of ammo left. Next head to your left and you
will see some ladders that take you up top of another
demolished building, take the contents of the box which
consists of Anti-Personnel Mines and some Grenades.
Climb back down and you will notice that there is a
tank, lob a grenade at it to take it out before it takes
you out. Next get your Sniper to head over to the house
that is situated to the right as you came over the
bridge, go round the back of it and you will see a
soldier situated to the right as you enter the door, he
won't see you so you can either take him out before you
enter or after you have collected the contents that are
inside the box which contains Anti-Personnel Mines and
more Grenades. If you took the soldier out before
heading into the building then make your way round the
front of the building and you will see a sub machine
gun, take the contents from that box then head back and
stay behind the truck and you will see more soldiers, I
used my Sniper to take them out with his Sniper Rifle
but, alternatively you could use your Sapper if you have
any grenades/Molokov Cocktails.
Entering the plane
Once you dispose of these 5 soldiers you will have two
more to deal with before you can enter the plane. Take
them out with your Sniper and head into the plane using
the door on the right hand side. If you want, before
heading inside the plane there are several boxes on the
left hand side of the plane. Most of them are empty but
you can find a Bazooka in one of them.
Mission over...... cut scene will take you onto your next
