_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This is a point-and-click game, so controls are fairly simple.

Left-clicking items and people initates contact with the target, picking the
item up or starting conversation. (If Rufus is too far away, nothing occurs.)
In the inventory menu, and the occasional field icon, items can be combined
by selecting one (the cursor changes to that item to denote it's being used)
and using it on another. If the pair works, a new item is created.

Right-clicking items is the observation button, giving wry banter about the
object or person. In some cases, valuable clues and puzzle hints are given,
so this is always useful. Unlike left-clicking, right-clicking faraway things
still works.

Other useful things to know:

• Double-clicking entrances to buildings/paths enters them automatically,
without waiting for Rufus to slow-walk there.

• Using mouse 3 (i.e. depressing a mouse's clickable scroll wheel) highlights
all objects of note, which helps players see what the hell they're supposed
to be finding! As someone who played without knowing this...it's better to
  know it from the get-go.

• On PC, pressing ESC skips current conversations and scenes. This is useful
if players are replaying segments or testing certain things, like doing the
  Pin-Up Goal achievement.

• I recommend playing with the mouse-wheel inventory option enabled. This way
players can scroll down to access it, then scroll up to close it -- simple.

Chaos on Deponia begins right where the previous game ended...sort of. (Note
that this chapter is considered Act 4 in the "Deponia: The Complete Journey"
bundle. Starting a new game begins the tutorial, though players can skip it.
Just be warned: skipping certain minigames can prevent obtaining certain
trophies.
_
|_| TROPHY: HUZZAH -- ONCE MORE FROM THE TOP
    Complete the tutorial.

The reenactment begins at Grandma Utz's hut. Doc and her will give "asides"
that double as clues whenever Rufus tries solving the puzzles.

• Open toolbox
• Take Power Inverter
• Take Hammer
• Take Hammer again
• Take Hammer a third time (it's under kitchen table)
• Obtain Tablecloth (automatic)
• Open bathroom door
• Inspect bird (drops in toilet)
• Put power inverter in bathroom fusebox
• Pull bathroom flush handle
• Push sink flush button
• Use Tablecloth on watery sink
• Use sink's garbage disposal button
• Take Soaked Tablecloth
• Use Soaked Tablecloth on kitchen fire (obtain Hammer)

The scene then moves to Rufus' cockamamie sawblade contraption.

• Step on bellows
• Step on panhandle (obtain Knife)
• Use Knife on uppermost Firework
• Step on panhandle
• Step on bellows

Rufus will reach the escape pod.

The majority of the game takes place in this multi-suburb port. The guide'll
list the general order of completion, although some overlap exists. (Players
who want the annoying "Collecting Agent" achievement should use the guide I
made in the Achievements section. The reason it's there: it requires doing a
bunch of out-of-order segments to fill the inventory.)

And before I begin, here's a loose map of the Black Market. Passageways yet
untaken are marked as a "???" initially with their screen information filled
in afterward. Remember to use the Mouse 3 button to highlight available
passages.

[1.1] FIRST LANDING
___________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This first section covers the first encounter with the FBM and the "prologue"
portions, before the plot heats up. Rufus starts on Bozo's trawler. Freely
moving around town won't be available for some parts.

NOTE: Players can begin the "Pin-Up Goal" achievement search immediately, but
since it requires players find 12 post-its without loading a game in-between,
I'll mention it at the later point of no return. That way, players have a
chance to have a "clean save" and can do it all in the shortest amount of
time, rather than having to do most of the guide in one sitting.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: CHEATER
This is similar to "Pin-Up Goal" achievement, only instead of finding all
twelve post-it notes (unlocks picture in "Puzzle" area of Bonus menu), a
player finds duplicate notes. This can be done as early as the trawler,
by finding and taking the first note (https://i.imgur.com/8LvXTIh.png),
reloading to respawn the note, then repeating eleven times.

NOTE: Collecting post-its gives a SFX, but only until "Pin-Up Goal" or its
counterpart achievement is done. Also, double-clicking on post-its may glitch
the achievement, so single clicks only!

• Dig in trash can (obtain Bait)
• Exit trawler
• Speak to fisherman (automatically view nearby map)
• Visit industrial park

• Enter backyard of industrial park
• Take Crank off shelf
• Take Electrical Tape off shelf
• Take Stick
• Combine Stick and Electrical Tape (creates Insulated Stick)

Having Rufus throw and fetch the stick himself a couple times counts toward
the Supercool achievement, so be sure to do that (three times is plenty).

• Use Insulated Stick on Clever-Byte
• Use Insulated Stick on lamp (get Insulated and Highly Charged Stick)
• Use the charged stick on Clever-Byte

• Enter Doc's workshop past Clever-Byte
• Speak to Doc (automatic)
• Take Screwdriver from counter
• Exit back to the outer street
• Speak to Organon haters (automatic)

At this point, players can explore the entire city, minus Bellevue, which
has a locked gate. The destination is the gadget shop at the docks, though
players can collect a bunch of items while exploring.

• Enter marketplace
• Take Expired Pills from pharmacy dumpster

• Enter Little Venice
• Take the Antenna near the building

• Enter Gulliver's Gully tavern
• Make jukebox play "Mating Song of the Junkcrabs" music (if not on already)
• Take Sugar Dispenser on Bozo's table
• Pour sugar into bar's exterior generator
• Reenter the tavern
• Steal the hanging Razorfish
• Use screwdriver on side hatch, then open it up
• Steal "The Mating Song of the Junk Crabs" sheet music
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: ENDURANCE TEST
In the outdoor screen with the tavern generator, kick the gondolier's
bumper to deploy its airbag, making him run off. Repeat this nine more
    times (requires reentering screen).

• Enter docks
• Get beaten up by Donna's thugs (automatic)
• Inspect jar of hooks by fisherman (obtain Hook)
• Steal Bucket hanging by fisherman

• Enter Gilligan's Gadget Garden, i.e. the gadget shop
• Speak to robot (automatic)
• Pick any option
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: LOLLIPOP OR LOVE?
    Buy cartridges for Goal's implant.

• Return to Doc's workshop (automatic)
• Obtain Cartridges (automatic)
• Obtain Remote (automatic)
• Combine the two new items to make Remote Including Cartridges

The implant repair surgery splits Goal's mind into three personalities. Rufus
can use the new remote to switch between those personalities, and must coax
each to get the surgery. Each has her own quirks and related "quest".

Goal relocates to the tavern at this time. After switching cartridges once,
each is labelled with the corresponding state of mind: Lady, Spunky or Baby.
Players can also tell which personality is active by body language or just
right-clicking (Rufus' replies change slightly).

[1.2] RECONCILING WITH GOAL, PT. 1 - LADY GOAL
______________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Lady Goal is the default, snooty personality for Goal.

• Speak to Goal and do a romantic intro (any option works)
• Say "You have to come with me and see Doc"
• Obtain Peanut Bowl (automatic)
• Exhaust Lady Goal's other dialogue options

Lady Goal comments on how hungry she is. Bozo will also suggest getting tips
on classy women from Seagull uptown. (Be sure to use the "Hey, Baby" line on
her as well, since it counts toward the Supercool achievement.)

• Speak to the bartender about "I, um, need to use the bathroom"
• Speak to Garlef, the resistance member on the tavern balcony
• Ask "Have you got the key to the tavern bathroom?"

• Approach Bellevue's gate via the marketplace
• Use Peanut Bowl on smell detector to gain entrance

Bellevue contains an outdoor "scenic area," Seagull's House, Crane the Poet's
house, and a dining area left of the main entrance (contains takeout vendor
and platypus trapper).
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: BLOODY NOSE
Step on the rake 10-11 times. Do this before the next part.

• Inspect tree near Hoedown the Gardener
• Reenter Bellevue after Hoedown kicks Rufus' ass (rake is now gone)
• Take the Spade
• Use Bucket on tub of dirt (obtain Bucket with Soil)

• Enter Seagull's House, the large white building near Hoedown
• Say "Aren't you at all glad to see me?"
• Say "Don't you even want to know what I've been up to all this time?"
• Say "I need to go look after my Elysian girlfriend"

Seagull will give some dating advice, specifically on visiting Chez Schlumpi
and removing platypus from the dinner menu.

• Inspect books on bookshelf (obtain Candle Memo)
• Inspect bookshelf again
• Inspect bookshelf's upper-right corner to reveal secret door
• Steal Vacuum Cleaner
• Inspect flowers (obtain Water Memo)
• Inspect goldfish bowl (obtain Bread Memo)
• Inspect window (obtain Coal Memo)
• Obtain Thread Memo (automatic after getting the other four memos)

• Enter Crane the Poet's house, directly beneath Seagull's
• Show Crane the Thread Memo
• Take the Thread above the door
• Show Crane the Coal Memo
• Steal the Coal near the stove drawing
• Show the Water Memo
• Take the Water
• Show the Candle Memo
• Take the Candle
• Show the Bread Memo
• Take the Bread
• Take the Urn

• Enter Bellevue's outdoor dining area
• Speak to Platypus Trapper (exhaust all options)

Rufus learns the restaurant's fortune cookies may have trial membership cards
inside, which can earn a free field guide to platypuses. Another tip is that
the trapper can supply platypuses to the restaurant thanks to the unguarded
nests. If they were to have guardians again, that would be disastrous...
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: WITH LOVE FROM PORTA FISCO
Read the platypus greeting cards five times.

The next step is obtaining a fortune cookie. Since Rufus has no cash, he must
take advantage of the restaurant's price decreases.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: ALL MINE!
Obtain the fortune cookie without skipping the event. Do this order:

    1) Select menu #2 -- a medium drink, two burgers, fortune cookie
    2) Change two medium burgers into one large burger
    3) Change large burger into a large drink
    4) Change large drink to a small drink
    5) Change medium drink to a small drink
    6) Change pair of small drinks into pair of small burgers
    7) Change two small burgers into two medium burgers, then one large one
    8) Change large burger into large drink
    9) Change large drink to medium, then small, then to nothing

• Obtain Fortune Cookie (automatic)
• Visit the docks
• Give Fortune Cookie to the lucky fisherman
• Obtain ID Card (automatic)

If Rufus tries opening the fortune cookie on his own, he'll always lose, and
the game eventually gives a major hint to talk to the fisherman. Players who
need repeat cookies can order "the usual" at the restaurant, skipping more
minigame madness.

• Revisit platypus trapper
• Show him the ID card (obtain Field Guide)
• Read all entries on platypus eggs/hatching in Field Guide

Rufus will be able to interact with the four eggs around town after reading.

• Climb into upper window near platypus trapper
• Use Crank on clothesline gadget
• Operate the crank
• Take Flying Platypus Egg

• Reenter Bellevue's main area
• Inspect egg near where the rake was
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: GARDEN WORK [https://i.imgur.com/dah2yTZ.gif]
Steal the meerkat's egg without skipping the minigame. The key tip here
is the meerkat's movement pattern: it always moves like a chess knight,
except when in a corner (it can teleport to opposite corner). To win,
basically put it in a corner, trap the opposite corner, then use rocks to
    block the other nearby exits.

• Obtain Earth Platypus Egg (automatic)
• Visit gondolier area outside Gulliver's Gully tavern
• Take Water Platypus Egg (underneath ramp)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: COLLECTING AGENT [https://i.imgur.com/M2XiLFf.png]
This elusive achievement requires collecting twenty-six items, one more
than the inventory limit. Those who followed the guide without additional
combining should already have twenty-two. Thankfully, players don't need
extra headaches here -- just stop reading this current section and start
following the [1.3] Baby Goal steps. The achievement should pop after the
gadget shop segment, at which point readers just return to this section
    again.

• Enter Gulliver's Gully tavern
• Use Candle on the one near Bozo's table (obtain Lit Candle)
• Move to the industrial park, where Doc's workshop is
• Use Coal on furnace
• Use Lit Candle on furnace, causing Fire Platypus Egg to rise from chimney
• Inspect egg to accidentally drop it in pipe system
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: EGG RACE [https://i.imgur.com/0hFV6xI.png]
Obtain the egg from the pipes without skipping the minigame. It's just a
matter of connecting various hoses, aiming to get the sucker out a bottom
pipe with red arrows on it. See screenshot above for the solution (there
    isn't a time limit).

• Take the Fire Platypus from the furnace

Now to claim the other three. The platypus field guide gives hints about the
habitats and hatching methods. These can be done in any order, really.

• Combine Earth Platypus Egg and Bucket of Soil
• Put "Bucket with Egg and Soil" into Doc's freezer (in his workshop)
• Use freezer switch twice
• Use Spade on frozen platypus
• Obtain Earth Platypus (automatic)

• Visit fisherman at docks (×3)
• Show fisherman the Razorfish
• Say "I use a special kind of bait"
• Add Expired Pills to fisherman's bait bucket
• Show fisherman the Bait (anchovy on a stick from first Deponia game)
• Obtain Tigerfish
• Visit Doc's backyard, where Clever-Byte was earlier
• Use Tigerfish on bucket of paint (obtain Zebrafish)
• Combine Water Platypus Egg and Zebrafish (obtain Frankenfish with Egg)
• Use Frankenfish with Egg on the electrodes just inside the workshop
• Obtain Zebrafish with Egg
• Visit Seagull's house
• Use Zebrafish with Egg on aquarium
• Take the Water Platypus

To reach Seagull's House safely with the zebrafish, Rufus must use the Water
on it every two screens, i.e. when he comments on its near-death state. If it
dies again, return to the electrodes and try again. (Note that some players
claim the "Animal Lover" achievement requires letting it die a few times, so
consider doing that if it's not yet obtained.)

• Visit Seagull's House in Bellevue
• Enter roof via behind-bookcase passage
• Use Urn on pipe
• Combine Thread and Hook
• Use "Hook on a Thread" with half-mast windsock
• When prompted, fasten hook to the pipe's grommet
• Use Flying Platypus Egg on half-mast windsock
• Enter Seagull's House again
• Use Hand-held Vacuum Cleaner on behind-bookcase lint trap (obtain Lint)
• Use Razorfish on windsock's taut line, hatching the egg
• Steal the Windsock
• Combine Windsock and Antenna (obtain Landing Net)
• Use Bread on birdhouse near Bellevue gate, summoning platypus closer
• Use Landing Net on Platypus
• Obtain Flying Platypus (automatic)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
Have all four hatched platypuses in the inventory at the same time.

With all four critters found, all that's left is placing them at their nests.

• The earth platypus' nest is Bellevue's entrance
• The flying platypus' nest is by the platypus trapper
• The fire platypus' nest is in the industrial park, near Doc's furnace
• The water platypus' nest is atop the lamppost outside the tavern

Platypus is off Chez Schlumpi's menu now, which means Rufus can reserve a
table in Seagull's name.

• Visit Seagull's house
• Say the "I did it" response
• Visit platypus trapper
• Choose "So, when you've got time..." option
• Visit Crane's house
• Pick "You know quite a bit about poetry, don't you?" (or similar option)
• Say platypus trapper's "Here am I. There are you, platy-poo" line
• Obtain the ear bug (automatic; not an inventory item, though)

• Visit Seagull again
• Say "I know which words I'll use to impress Goal"

Note that giving crappy poetry lines to Crane and Seagull counts toward the
"Supercool" achievement. Since it's unknown which ones work in particular,
just say them all to be sure.

• Eventually say "I may not be good at waxing eloquent. But I've got this"
• Obtain Invitation for Lady Goal (automatic)

• Give Lady Goal the invitation
• Visit Seagull's house (automatic)
• Take Radio Equipment Memo off Seagull's desk
• Give memo to Crane
• Obtain Radio Equipment (automatic)
• Visit dining area by platypus trapper
• Give Radio Equipment to platypus trapper
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: FAMILY DRAMA
See the scene between Seagull and Lady Goal. I don't believe anything
else is required, since the achievement icon is a Star Wars parody, which
is based off a line Seagull says here.

After foiling Seagull's date sniping, the Lady personality is persuaded and
Rufus automatically returns to the tavern.

[1.3] RECONCILING WITH GOAL, PT. 2 - BABY GOAL
______________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Baby Goal is the silly, naive personality.

• Switch personality to, then initiate conversation with, Baby Goal
• Say "You have to come with me and see Doc"
• Say "Won't you please just come along?"
• Say "Can't you remember anything?"
• Say "Janosch, Janosch. What's up with that Janosch?"

Apparently, doing Goal's conversation about naming bugs counts towards the
"Animal Lover" achievement. This can be done by using the "Hey, Baby!" pickup
line, then "What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?"

• Speak to Garlef in the tavern
• Ask "You're part of the resistance movement, or so I've heard?"
• Ask "May I join you?"
• Say "Please, let me join you! I want to impress a woman!"
• Obtain Bathroom Key (automatic)

• Speak to Nod
• Say "I think an apology would be in order"
• Say "Unorganized Crime...what is that exactly?"
• Say "May I join you?"
• Pick any of the first four options
• Say "How can I prove to you that I'm reckless enough?"

• Unlock tavern's bathroom door
• Enter bathroom (automatic)
• Obtain Shred of Toilet Paper (automatic)

• Visit marketplace
• Give Shred of Toilet Paper to blind pharmacist
• Obtain Cucumber of Revelation (automatic)

• Enter gadget shop at the docks
• Put on anti-gravity socks
• Take Indestructable Sunglasses of Eternal Darkness
• Return to floor level
• Put the sunglasses in the shredder
• Obtain broken sunglasses (automatic)
• Show broken sunglasses to robot
• Use Cucumber of Revelation on the counter's Juicer Hat
• View revelation (automatic)
• Show broken sunglasses to robot again
• Steal Golden Dragon of Invisibility off podium
• Use Golden Dragon of Invisibility on Rufus (right-click in inventory)
• Steal broken sunglasses off counter
• Obtain Left Frame (automatic)
• Obtain Right Frame (automatic)
• Obtain Sunglasses Lens (automatic)

Those who skipped to this [1.3] section from [1.2] for "Collecting Agent" get
it here, if they followed the guide properly. Note that the Golden Dragon of
Invisibility, when right-clicked outside the shop, disappears because it's
lost. Reentering the shop finds it again.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: T-415411293
    Do the following:
    • Combine Right Frame + Sunglasses Lens (obtain Right Frame with Lens)
    • Combine Right Frame with Lens + Left Frame (obtain Repaired Sunglasses)
    • Move to the dark alley in the marketplace
    • Use the repaired sunglasses on the "eyes in the trash" for a scene

It may be possible to do the above achievement by putting the lens in the
other eyehole, too. Make sure to reload the save after

• Visit Little Venice
• Combine Left Frame and Sunglasses Lens (obtain Left Frame with Lens)
• Combine Left Frame with Lens and Right Frame (obtain Repaired Sunglasses)
• Use Repaired Sunglasses [Left Frame] on the periscope
• Enter submersible's hatch

Rufus can't enter without using the lens in the left frame, since that's the
only one the henchman can see from.

• Inspect radio room door
• Start radio transmission (automatic)
• Pick 2nd, 3rd or 4th dialogue option
• Obtain Slides (automatic)
• Press red button on radio console
• Use Razorfish on revealed cat

Rufus won't shave the cat unless Nod specifically mentioned it back in the
tavern. There's a conversation with Donna immediately afterward.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: WHAT WOMEN WANT
Complete Donna's tic-filled conversation on the first try, in this order:
    • What did she say?
    • That I'll be made into shark food.
    • Go ahead.

Doing the conversation incorrectly has Rufus walking the plank, automatically
ending up back at the docks. It's also possible to complete the conversation
in other ways, though it may not give the achievement. (For instance, trying
to strike a deal with her repeatedly, then picking "go ahead" afterward.)

• Enter submersible bridge
• Steal the Tournament Hand

• Return to the tavern
• Speak to Garlef
• Ask "Why are you sitting here on your lonesome?"
• Pick "I want to play!"
• Pick "I'm ready!"

Players must beat Garlef in rock-paper-scissors to continue. Rules:

- Winning earns two fingers
- Losing a round or cheating loses two fingers
- Rock requires no fingers
- Scissors requires two fingers
- Paper requires four fingers

Players can only do options if they have the fingers to do so. This means if
Garlef has only two fingers left, he can only do scissors and rock. When he
has no fingers in reserve, use paper to win.

• Learn the resistance's secret knock from Garlef (automatic)
• Speak to Goal
• Say "It is done. We're resistance fighters!"
• Goal relocates to the resistance base (automatic)

• Visit dark alley in marketplace
• Inspect door (Rufus' knock is thrown off by the marketplace theme music)
• In the game's settings menu, mute the music
• Try knocking again (Liebold makes Rufus try doing the old knock)
• Hide in the junk crate
• After the scene, knock again to gain admittance

The game will prompt players to turn the music back on. The "okay" option
reenables it at half strength.

• Enter resistance base
• Hear Janosch's introduction (automatic)
• Optional: speak to Janosch via "you call yourselves a resistance cell?"
• Optional: speak to Janosch via "So what's your concept?"
• Optional: speak to Janosch via "I've got a concept!"

Players learn that the slides can be used in the projector.

• Use Slides on projector
• Say "It's a symbol"
• Say "It's an Organon bombing fort"
• Say "Our enemy will try to eradicate Deponia"
• Say "Our team will dare to attack!"
• Say "I obtained topographical data locating one particular Organon fort"
• Say "...detonate a bomb here and put an end to all life, marine and on land"
• Say "Goal and her brain implant might mean an important trump in our hand"

Only the above options work. Picking anything else makes the plan go awry as
Rufus laughs at Janosch's speech impediment. (Those who heard the developer's
commentary for the room already got a hint at this puzzle.) If done correctly,
Baby Goal is persuaded and everyone returns to the tavern.

[1.4] RECONCILING WITH GOAL, PT. 3 - SPUNKY GOAL
________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Spunky Goal is the sporty, irascible personality. Although this is last in
the guide's order, it can be done first, if players really wanted.

• Use remote to switch personality to Spunky Goal
• Say "You have to come with me and see Doc"
• Hear Bozo chime in (automatic)

One of Spunky Goal's dialogue options has Rufus sing the "Dumb Bum" song to
accidentally prove his stupidity. This counts toward the Supercool cheevo.

• Speak to Bozo
• Say "What were you going to say earlier? Something about a..." option
• Say "I do believe Spunky Goal likes me"
• Say "Tell me more about your Bambina"
• Say "I think you should pay a visit to your Bambina"

Bozo will relocate to the weapons shop between the industrial park and Little
Venice from now on.

• Visit weapons shop area
• Speak to Bozo
• Pick "Of course. It's going to be great."
• Watch the courtship scene with Bambina

The gondolier near the tavern does some drive-by noise pollution, screwing up
the chance to hear Bozo's special words. This happens each time unless he's
dealt with.

Players should already have some of the prep work done, but just in case they
haven't, do these steps:

• Enter tavern
• Put jukebox on "Mating Song of the Junk Crabs"
• Exit tavern
• Pour sugar in generator
• Reenter tavern
• Steal "Mating Song of the Junk Crabs" song sheet
• Outside the tavern, kick gondolier's bumper to make him leave
• Use "The Mating Song of the Junk Crabs" on his music stand
• Revisit weapons shop
• Have Bozo try wooing Bambina again
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: DEPONIA IDOL
Make the gondolier sing all four songs in the tavern jukebox. None of the
others (Junk Avalanche Tarantella, Jolly Johnny Song, Dead Pigeon Tango)
have a useful effect plot-wise, so those who need this achievement should
just do as the guide advises, only the correct method is done fourth in
    order.

The mating song summons crabs from the marketplace's alley into a pipe near
the weapon shop. (This should happen by default, but if it doesn't work, it's
because players may have tampered with the pipe diverter near the marketplace
pharmacist. Return there and connect the red and yellow pipes.)

• Have the crabs be summoned into the weapon shop's red pipe (automatic)
• Use pipe's valve, trapping crabs inside
• Revisit marketplace
• Connect the red and green pipes
• Revisit weapons shop
• Use the crab pipe lever (crabs enter airbag crate at the industrial park)
• Kick gondolier's bumper again, forcing him to get a new, crab-ridden one
• Have Gonzo try his luck with Bambina again

This time, the mating song goes awry for the gondolier and Rufus learns the
six-letter phrase into a woman's heart. (In rare cases, players doing the FAQ
out of order may need more sheet music to get the "Collecting Agent" cheevo.
In that case, simply go get more at the tavern like before.)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: PIN-UP GOAL (PT. 1)
For those following the walkthrough, this is the point of no return on
starting the achievement, which requires finding all 12 post-it notes in
the game without reloading in-between. (For those not following the FAQ,
the cutoff is the point of no return on whichever personality is done
third/last in order.) I would suggest making a separate save at this
    point, just in case.

    1) Bozo's trawler [https://i.imgur.com/8LvXTIh.png]
    2) Industrial park backyard [https://i.imgur.com/D9o1eYN.png]
    3) Doc's workshop [https://i.imgur.com/aShDjmT.png]
    4) Marketplace [https://i.imgur.com/bxyM96R.png]
    5) Gulliver's Gully tavern [https://i.imgur.com/nn3D8kz.png]
    6) Gadget Shop [https://i.imgur.com/lCPSbWD.png]
    7) Bellevue, Old Town [https://i.imgur.com/ozWUIyo.png]
    8) Resistance Base [https://i.imgur.com/jyeKhXy.png]

The remaining four post-its only appear in the third act, so be careful not
to reload in-between!

• Return to the tavern
• Speak to Spunky Goal
• Say Bozo's line (only choice available)

Goal gets so pissed, she starts a squabble...and squabbles in this neck of
the woods require platypus bataka. Basically, players are put into a Mortal
Kombat-esque minigame where they have to block Goal's attacks, then strike
back when she blocks.

Rufus can choose to block his head, torso or legs. Doing it successfully
prevents all damage and gives an opening to hit Goal, who can block two spots
at once. The key to winning the fight is observing Goal, who points to where
she'll attack and leaves a spot of her body open on defense. (Note that, when
Goal is almost "dead," she'll go into rage mode, doing five free hits on her
opponent. Surviving wins the match.)

If Rufus loses, he can practice on an arena dummy to "power up" and make his
attacks do slightly more damage. The dummy's Simon (memory sequence) game is
optional, however, and shouldn't be required. See the image below for a cheat
sheet on Goal's stances.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: SUPERCOOL
This pops here, supposing the following items were done:
    • Repeatedly fetched the stick for Clever-Byte
    • Use the "Hey, Baby" line on Lady Goal in the tavern
    • Sing the "Dumb Bum Song" for Spunky Goal in the tavern
    • Said crappy poetry to Seagull in his house
    • Said crappy poetry to Crane in his house (the "stalks" reply works)
    • Lost the opening round of Platypus Bataka
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: SHUT UP, SIMON! [https://i.imgur.com/EYeXPd4.png]
Defeat Goal in Platypus Bataka without skipping the event. Some say that
one must do it WITHOUT practicing on the dummy to get stronger, but I got
it even while doing that (on the Complete Journey edition of game).

Winning steals Spunky Goal's heart and ends her segment, with the lovebirds
returning to the bar. For those following the walkthrough, all the surgery
prep work is over, so Rufus automatically goes to Doc's place for Act One's
closer.

[1.5] RECONCILING WITH GOAL - SURGERY TIME
__________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Leaving Doc's area isn't permitted in this segment, which is why players had
to do all prep work for "Pin-Up Goal" before this point. (Those who didn't
should reload the last save and organize properly!) Additionally, all items
from before are removed.

• Talk to Janosch (automatic)
• Knock on back door (obtain Liebold's Remote)
• Use Liebold's Remote on Liebold
• Enter portal that appears

• Speak to Future Rufus (automatic)
• Say "I want proof"
• Pick any of the five embarassing options
• Say "Oh, well. I guess I'll rescue Goal then."
• Enter portal (automatic)

• Talk to Doc
• Say "That element on Donna's temple..."
• Inspect drawer near asbestos cabinet
• Obtain Donna's Remote (automatic)
• Obtain Liebold's Remote (automatic)

• Talk to Lady Goal
• Say "I found this remote..."
• Say "Wow, Doc keeps a bottle of champagne in his office?"
• Obtain Cartridge (automatic)

• Combine Donna's Remote and Cartridge
• Use combined Donna's Remote on Donna
• Talk to Donna-Goal (automatic)
• Inspect thugs on floor
• Obtain Crowbar (automatic)
• Obtain Weapon (automatic)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: PRE-PARADOX
After Wink and Nod are put out of commission, reenter the portal and see
a scene with Garlef and Liebold. Do this before the next step.

• Leave Doc's lab through the door
• Talk to Past Rufus (automatic)
• Use Crowbar on Electrodes
• Pick "Zeeblezooble"

Choosing other options creates a time paradox, forcing players to restart a
portion of the last few minutes.

• When Rufus leaves, shake the clock
• Deal with Liebold and Garlef (automatic)
• Return to Doc (automatic)
• Speak to Donna-Goal (automatic)
• Pick "But where's the problem?"
• Pick "Okay. I think I understand now"
• Pick "But there must be a way!"
• Pick "There must be a way to accomplish both!"
_
|_| HUZZA - PUT BALLS TO THE WALL
    Complete Act Two.

3) RED RUST SEA [WK02]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Rufus begins with nothing but the Remote for Goal's personalities.

• Speak to Janosch
• Obtain Secret Knock Note (automatic)
• Board Bozo's trawler (automatic)

Players have access to four places in this chapter: Floating Black Market,
Isla Watchit, the North Pole, and Porta Fisco. Visiting all four is crucial
in solving the chapter's main problem: locating the submersible.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: PIN-UP GOAL (PT. 2)
For those who found the eight notes earlier and are rarin' to get the
final four, it's good to get that out of the way immediately.

    • #09 - Isla Watchit [https://i.imgur.com/Mfh0ExL.png]
    • #10 - Isla Watchit [https://i.imgur.com/BYVRrpn.png]
    • #11 - Porta Fisco [https://i.imgur.com/wpaIyDC.png]
    • #12 - Porta Fisco [https://i.imgur.com/SBUzeCj.png]

Whew, that achievement was more annoying than Deponia's "Droggeljug," eh? OK,
onto the plot stuff. Some of these locations can be visited in any order.

[2.2] NORTH POLE
________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Steal the Hose
• Inspect snowbank (obtain Ice)
• Enter trawler
• Optional: try drinking tea by Goal
• Put Ice in tea
• Drink tea
• Piss on outdoor pole (automatic)
• Take caveman's Torch

This is a two-screen area, not counting the trawler.

• Follow Goal into the deepest screen
• Take the Broken Transmitter
• Return to trawler
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: WOOOGHIEEE
Try using the broken transmitter on the trawler's radar. This should also
work with the intact transmitter obtained in the next step.

• Show Doc the new item (obtain Transmitter)

The item needs to be mounted atop the radio tower further in, but there's no
way to do that just yet.

[2.4] PORTA FISCO
_________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This is the northernmost area available.
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: FREESTYLER
Talk to Goon (by pipe) about freestyling.

• Take the Power Inverter from cardboard box
• Use torch on burning barrel to get...the Burning Torch!
• Enter path up road past Goal
• Use Burning Torch on mountain of tires
• Take Tire

• Enter weird tent near Goal
• See opening scene with fortune teller (automatic)
• Ask "Are you some sort of psychic?"
• Ask "Can you predict lottery numbers?"
• Ask "Oh, come on...tell me the lottery numbers"
• Try taking bananas three times
• Obtain Bananas

• Optional: ask Spunky Goal to come with to the fortune teller
• Use Remote to switch Spunky Goal to Baby Goal
• Ask Baby Goal to visit the fortune teller
• Reenter fortune teller's hut
• Ask "How do I prevent Goal from marrying Cletus" (then rephrase after)
• Say "This is all humbug. You're holding the ball upside-down."
• When fortune teller shows ball, use Remote on Baby Goal
• Ask any two questions in Spunky Goal's presence (i.e. she complains twice)
• Ask wealth-related question
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: A BOND FOR LIFE
Listen to Spunky Goal wring the lottery number info out of the fortune
teller. Some say that the achievement requires doing all the questions in
a similar fashion (i.e. ask any two questions in Spunky's presence, hear
the neck-wringing on the third, then repeat for each question) but I've
obtained the achievement after hearing only two. This may differ between
the base game and the Deponia: Complete Journey editions.

Note that players can't get Baby Goal back into the tent after hearing the
lottery tip, so if the achievement doesn't pop, reload and ask the cash query
last.

• Enter the pipe by Goon
• Knock on door
• Solve the "knocking" puzzle

The hint is the paper Janosch gave before leaving the Black Market -- the one
with "+, -, +" written on it. Basically, add or subtract knocks from each
other, like so:

1) Knock thrice
2) Hear response knock of one
3) Knock four times (3 + 1)
4) Hear response knock of three
5) Knock once (4 - 3)
6) Hear response knock of four
7) Knock five times (1 + 4)

The number of knocks can't be zero or more than five, so some opening knock
amounts won't work. Those who hate these types of puzzles can skip it using
the normal arrow button, since there's no related achievement.

• Enter resistance base
• Speak to Janosch (automatic)
• Ask Janosch "what's up with the torpedo dolphins?"
• Say "You sold all the torpedo equipment?"
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: TEASING THE DRAGON
Order Toni to clean the dolphin pool, bring black coffee, and do twenty
    push-ups.

• Take the gas Canister
• Hang burning Tire in the service hatch entryway
• Use the Bait Fish on the baby dolphins
• Take the Can of Tuna
• Take the Wading Pool
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: ANIMAL LOVER
This should pop now, provided the following were all done:
    • Do the tavern's Princess Lamefoot conversation with Baby Goal (Act 2)
    • Let the Frankenfish die at least once (Act 2)
    • Kill the baby dolphins on accident (Act 3)

[2.5] RECLAIM THE TORPEDOES
___________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Visit the North Pole
• Inspect pole star while standing outside
• See the lottery numbers (automatic)

Obviously, the numbers only appear if Rufus heard the fortune teller's tip.

• Return to Floating Black Market
• Talk to Fisherman
• Say "
• Say "
• Say "Could you please catch me a boot?"
• Say "I won't go away until you catch me a boot"
• Win the game of patience
• Obtain Shoe (automatic)

Winning the game of patience simply requires standing in place after issuing
the challenge. Don't walk away, no matter how many times Goal whines, and
the fisherman eventually relents.

• Use Can of Tuna on outdoor cat dish
• Ask Spunky Goal to enter cat flap
• Enter Gadget Shop
• Use Bananas on Banana Straighter (obtain Straight Banana)
• Use Lott-O-Mat
• Obtain Prize (automatic)
• Give Prize to Shop-o-Mat
• Obtain Torpedo Equipment (automatic)

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Visit Isla Watchit
• Use Bananas on generator exhaust pipe
• Use Hose on generator
• Use Canister on hose (obtain Diesel)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: CAPTAIN PLANET
Use the canister to collect the diesel, after spilling it in the first
place. Pretty sure this one's mandatory.

• Return to Porta Fisco
• Give Shoe to Goon
• Obtain Broken Umbrella (automatic)
• Enter sewers to resistance base
• Inspect jet engine's hatch
• Install Power Inverter
• Use Diesel on engine
• Press button by door (causes tramp's stink to waft into base)
• Enter resistance base
• Take air fresheners

While players are here, they can also solve the adult dolphins' depression.

• Enter back area of resistance base
• Use Straight Banana on the manhole
• Perform a slapstick routine (automatic)
• Let dolphins out of the water lock using the lever near Toni
• In jet engine screen, give Torpedo Equipment to dolphins

• Return to Isla Watchit's furthest screen
• Put Wading Pool on circular plateau near pump
• Pump filthy water into pool
• Combine Broken Umbrella and Air Freshener Trees
• Give the Broken Umbrella with Air Freshener Trees to Baby Goal
• Give Prize to Baby Goal
• Use Transmitter on Radio Tower

Be sure to get the "Woooghieee" achievement before the transmitter's gone.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
[2.7] CATCHING THE SUBMERSIBLE
______________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Time for the chapter-closing portions. For those who didn't do the dolphins'
preparations yet, go to Porta Fisco and do that now:

• Enter back area of resistance base
• Use Straight Banana on the manhole
• Perform a slapstick routine (automatic)
• Let dolphins out of the water lock using the lever near Toni
• In jet engine screen, give Torpedo Equipment to dolphins

For those who followed the walkthrough exactly, inspecting the trawler radar
automatically moves to the next phase: catching the submersible. The map is
the radar screen where Rufus controls the dolphins' movement. Each can be
told to advance or turn, but not both. The submersible can go one space in
any direction, meanwhile.

The goal is to move a dolphin onto the submersible's occupied grid square in
any fashion. Just remember that the pursued craft can move diagonally without
turning; the dolphins can only move straight. (They also can't occupy the
same space as another dolphin or "pass their turn". The submersible can pass
its turn, though, which only works in the players' favor.)
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: FLIPPER OUT
Complete the dolphin minigame without skipping. Due to the submersible's
maneuverability and the dolphins' lack of it, winning usually requires
cornering the craft in any corner.

When the craft is captured, the trawler moves alongside it and can't go to
other locations. Some of the steps can be done in any order.

• Inspect lamp
• Take Candle
• Open the storage locker
• Take the Diving Suit
• Hang Diving Suit on crane hook
• Enter suit and submerge
• Take the two Hoses
• Return to surface
• Combine two Hoses into the Long Hose
• Connect Long Hose to water faucet
• Connect end of Hose to Diving Suit
• Inspect faucet again, filling suit with water

• Enter trawler cabin
• Use Candle on stove pot
• Take the Pot with Wax
• Switch personality to Spunky Goal
• Exit cabin
• Ring doorbell three times, denting the door
• Use Pot of Wax on the dent (obtain Impression)
• Use wax Impression on diving suit helmet

• Say "Can you please lower the dummy?" to Bozo
• See explosion scene (automatic)
• Reenter diving suit and submerge
• Try entering hatch

|_| ACHIEVEMENT: HUZZAH - WE'LL WORK OVERTIME
    Complete the third act.

4) BLASTING TOWER [WK04]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Ahh, the final chapter! Rufus begins outside the blasting tower with no items
besides his Remote. Three teleportation devices are beached nearby, each
connecting the beach to the base.

• Enter the beach transporter with the fly
• Enter the base's rightmost transporter
• Enter the beach's empty transporter near Doc
• Enter the base's uppermost transporter
• Enter the beach's empty transporter near Doc
• Optional: talk to Janosch
• Enter the beach's uppermost transporter again
• As Frog-Rufus, inspect (and eat) the fly in the leftmost beach portal
• Use the current transport again
• Reenter the beach via transport
• Use the leftmost, now fly-less, transport
_
|_| ACHIEVEMENT: BEHIND THE MIRROR
After solving the puzzle and landing in the base, right near the ladder
to the next portion, go back through the previous portal for what's
apparently a "Whispered World" easter egg.

• Go up base's ladder
• Watch Argus' scene (automatic)
• Enter the base door nearby

• Inspect Cletus' bag (obtain Cartridge)
• Combine Remote and new Cartridge
• Use Cartridge on Donna
• Speak to Goal (automatic)

• Punch Cletus to get back on top and in arm range of the remote
• Repeat the above two steps (×3)
• When the red remote drops, press it
• See cliffhanger scene (automatic)
• Press red remote when Goal appears
• Say "Um... Well..."
• Say "Cletus didn't lie to you"
• Say "I've still got the other remote" or any other option

III. ACHIEVEMENTS [ACHV]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
There are thirty-four (34) achievements in the game, spread out over the four
chapters/acts available.

ACT 1: GRANDMA UTZ'S HUT [3]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
_
|_| HUZZAH -- ONCE MORE FROM THE TOP
    Complete the tutorial.
_
|_| BLOW JOB
In the wrecked lifeboat to Elysium, blow on the dusty badge five times
    before pressing the button.
_
|_| HUZZAH -- WITH BOOZE AND SO FORTH
    Complete the opening act.

ACT 2: FLOATING BLACK MARKET [18]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
_
|_| CHEATER
This is like "Pin-Up Goal," only instead of finding twelve individual
post-its spread out across the world, players cheat by finding duplicate
notes. This can be done in either Act 2 or 3 by finding (and clicking on)
a note, then reloading the save, and taking the note again. Because this
PREVENTS getting "Pin-Up Goal" on the same file, it's recommended to do
this immediately, then start a new save to avoid wasting tons of time.
As this image shows (https://i.imgur.com/8LvXTIh.png), it can be done as
early as Act 2's beginning by taking the note and repeating eleven times.
_
|_| ENDURANCE TEST
In the outdoor screen with the tavern generator, kick the gondolier's
bumper to deploy its airbag, making him run off. Repeat this nine more
times (requires reentering screen). This must be done before learning
Bozo's magic words for his Bambina.
_
|_| LOLLIPOP OR LOVE?
Buy cartridges for Goal's implant. This is mandatory, regardless of what
    option players pick.
_
|_| BLOODY NOSE
Step on the rake in Bellevue 10-11 times. This must be done before the
gardener takes the rake following Rufus' "kick the tree" accident.
_
|_| WITH LOVE FROM PORTA FISCO
In Bellevue's Old Town, read the platypus greeting cards five times.
_
|_| ALL MINE!
Obtain the fortune cookie from Bellevue's food vendor without skipping
    the event. The correct order:

    1) Select menu #2 -- a medium drink, two burgers, fortune cookie
    2) Change two medium burgers into one large burger
    3) Change large burger into a large drink
    4) Change large drink to a small drink
    5) Change medium drink to a small drink
    6) Change pair of small drinks into pair of small burgers
    7) Change two small burgers into two medium burgers, then one large one
    8) Change large burger into large drink
    9) Change large drink to medium, then small, then to nothing
_
|_| GARDEN WORK [https://i.imgur.com/dah2yTZ.gif]
In Bellevue, steal the meerkat's egg witout skipping the minigame. The
tip is the meerkat's movement pattern, which resembles a chess knight,
except when in a corner (it can teleport to opposite one). To win, force
it into a corner, trap the opposite corner, and use rocks to block its
two remaining exits. Rufus can only do this minigame after acquiring the
    platypus field guide.
_
|_| COLLECTING AGENT [https://i.imgur.com/M2XiLFf.png]
This elusive achievement requires collecting twenty-six items, one more
than the inventory limit. Follow the walkthrough as-is, then skip to the
[1.3] section when prompted to obtain the achievement.
_
|_| EGG RACE [https://i.imgur.com/0hFV6xI.png]
Obtain the fire platypus egg from the industrial park pipes without
skipping the minigame. It's just a matter of connecting various hoses,
with the goal having it shoot out the bottom pipe. See the screenshot for
the solution (there's no time limit).
_
|_| ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
Have all four hatched platypuses in the inventory at the same time. Just
follow the walkthrough and don't put any in nests early to get this.
_
|_| FAMILY DRAMA
See the scene between Seagull and Lady Goal. This is likely mandatory.
_
|_| T-415411293
    Do the following:
    • Obtain broken sunglasses-related items from gadget shop (see FAQ)
    • Combine Right Frame + Sunglasses Lens (obtain Right Frame with Lens)
    • Combine Right Frame with Lens + Left Frame (obtain Repaired Sunglasses)
    • Move to the dark alley in the marketplace
    • Use the repaired sunglasses on the "eyes in the trash" for a scene
_
|_| WHAT WOMEN WANT
Complete Donna's tic-filled conversation aboard her submersible on the
first try (i.e. without being dumped into the water). Use this order:
    • What did she say?
    • That I'll be made into shark food.
    • Go ahead.
_
|_| DEPONIA IDOL
Make the gondolier sing all four songs in the tavern jukebox. The guide
describes this process already, but for repetition's sake: (1) pick a
song on the tavern jukebox (2) dump sugar into outdoor generator, causing
a power outage (3) use screwdriver to open jukebox's hatch (4) steal the
dwarf's sheet music (5) kick the gondolier's bumper to make him vamoose
    (6) replace gondola sheet music (7) have Bozo woo Bambina, and always get
interrupted by the gondolier. See the walkthrough for getting Bozo to do
that seventh step. When the gondolier sings one song, just get more music
from the jukebox and do it all over again.
_
|_| PIN-UP GOAL (PT. 1)
This requires finding twelve post-it notes in the game without reloading
in-between. The notes only appear in Acts 2 and 3, so players are urged
to wait as long as possible (i.e. before finishing third Goal personality
quest) before finding them. That way, when Act 3 starts, players can just
rush around and find the remaining four. Making a fallback save, just in
case, helps. Also remember: players can't do this on the same file as one
that got "Cheater" earlier, since the bonus puzzle is already completed.

|_| SHUT UP, SIMON! [https://i.imgur.com/EYeXPd4.png]
Defeat Goal in Platypus Bataka without skipping the event. Some say that
one must do it WITHOUT practicing on the dummy to get stronger, but I got
it even while doing that (on the Complete Journey edition of game).
_
|_| SUPERCOOL
This pops here, supposing the following items were done:
    • Repeatedly fetched the stick for Clever-Byte
    • Use the "Hey, Baby" line on Lady Goal in the tavern
    • Sing the "Dumb Bum Song" for Spunky Goal in the tavern
    • Said crappy poetry to Seagull in his house
    • Said crappy poetry to Crane in his house (the "stalks" reply works)
    • Lost the opening round of Platypus Bataka
_
|_| PRE-PARADOX
Toward the end of the act, after Wink and Nod are put out of commission
in Doc's workshop, reenter the "asbestos cabinet" portal instead of going
out the door. There'll be a scene with Garlef and Liebold.
_
|_| HUZZA - PUT BALLS TO THE WALL
    Complete Act Two.

ACT 3: RED RUST SEA [9]

_
|_| PIN-UP GOAL (PT. 2)
The final four notes are found in the third act. The achievement pops as
long as the previous eight were acquired and no loading was done since.

|_| WOOOGHIEEE
Try using the broken transmitter on the trawler's radar. This should also
work with the intact transmitter obtained in the next step. Do this before
repairing the radio tower later on.
_
|_| FREESTYLER
Talk to Goon in Porta Fisco about freestyling.
_
|_| A BOND FOR LIFE
This occurs in Porta Fisco's fortune teller hut after Spunky Goal wrings
the lottery numbers out of the occupant's neck. Some say this achievement
requires hearing all Spunky Goal's neck-wringing scenes, but it may occur
only on the lottery one. (Spunky wrings the neck after the third time she
complains, allowing Rufus to time it appropriately.) Since Goal can't go
into the fortune teller hut after hearing the lottery prediction, if the
achievement DOESN'T work, reload the save and preface the lottery query
    with the filler ones.
_
|_| TEASING THE DRAGON
In the Porta Fisco resistance base, order Toni to clean the dolphin pool,
bring black coffee, and do twenty push-ups.
_
|_| ANIMAL LOVER
This pops after doing the following:
    • Do the tavern's Princess Lamefoot conversation with Baby Goal (Act 2)
    • Let the Frankenfish die at least once (Act 2)
    • Kill the baby dolphins on accident (Act 3)
_
|_| CAPTAIN PLANET
On Isla Watchit, destroy the generator by sticking a Banana in its pipe,
attaching a Hose to siphon diesel (causing a spill), then cleaning the
spill with the Canister. This is mandatory, basically.
_
|_| FLIPPER OUT
Toward the chapter's end, complete the submersible/dolphin hunt minigame
without skipping. Due to the submersible's maneuverability and the
dolphins' lack of it, winning usually requires cornering the craft in any
    corner.
_
|_| HUZZAH - WE'LL WORK OVERTIME
    Complete the third act.

ACT 4: BLASTING TOWER [4]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
_
|_| BEHIND THE MIRROR
After solving the teleporter puzzle and landing near the base's ladder,
go back through the previous portal for what's a "Whispered World" easter
    egg.
_
|_| NOT IN THE FACE!
Punch Cletus in the face ten times during the fight's course.
_
|_| HUZZAH - LET'S HOPE FAR AWAY
    Finish the fourth act.
_
|_| THANKS!
    Complete Chaos on Deponia.

[Q] - Do you have an album for all the puzzle solutions and stuff?
[A] - Why, yes, yes I do: https://imgur.com/a/nvVW4
Note that I also keep master copies, so if the link ever dies for some
weird reason, I can email those images directly when asked.

[Q] - The Shop-o-Mat won't wear the sunglasses!
[A] - Juice the cucumber first. Rufus can't make forward progress without it.

[Q] - Rufus won't pick up the eggs!
[A] - He makes up an excuse until he reads the platypus field guide.

[Q] - Garlef won't give me the bathroom key!
[A] - Asking him point blank never earns the key. Only by using the option
      about impressing women (appears after various Baby Goal conversations;
see walkthrough method) will it be obtained.

[Q] - The crabs in the weapon shop pipe keep disappearing!
[A] - After they're led into the pipe, make sure to trap them by turning the
nearby valve. This should be done before leaving the screen.

[Q] - Goal won't enter the gadget shop when asked!
[A] - Baby Goal won't; Spunky Goal will. Swap her cartridges.

[Q] - Rufus won't slip on the bananas!
[A] - Only a straight banana will work. Use the machine in the Floating Black
Market gadget shop to (as Captain Picard would say) make it so.

[Q] - Is Leopard Mode real?
[A] - This is referring to the section in the hard copy's manual, I presume.
Pretty sure it's just an in-joke.

[Q] - Why don't you have any PS4 information!????
[A] - At the time of this writing, the game isn't on PS4 yet, though it's
expected to be in December 2017.
