2. Introduction COJ02

This is a Full walkthrough of Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (X360/PC/PS3).
CoJ:BiB is a game that follows the McCall brothers (Ray, Thomas, and William)
on their journy through the wild west to find the legendary lost gold of
Juarez.
-- This walkthrough is NOT spoiler free and will contain the cutscenes reached
throughout the game.
The game has been completed multiple times by myself in order to check the
steps of the walkthrough. Though this is a walkthrough on CoJ:BiB,
please understand that the techniques outlined below are not the only way
to complete the game. This is simply an outline that covers the full step by
step events of the game, and also what I beleive to be the easiest way to
complete the game from start to finish.
As you read through this walk through you will notice
that each section is seperated by Acts, and chapters. Each chapter will
outline the steps from start to finish, along with all secret poster locations.
Last but not least, this guide was written based off of the Xbox 360 version
of the game. All versions are the same in terms of gameplay, but have differnt
controls. Certain areas of the guide will be outlined according to Xbox 360
controls, but while playing in the game you will see the control scheme on
screen for your particular platform.

1. Rusty: Lowest quality weapon
2. Standard: Standard weapons have normal strength and RoF.
3. Prime: Slightly better then the standard (Silver Weapons)

ACT 1: WE ARE FAMILY COJ06

CHAPTER 1 - COJ07 5/5 SECRETS
===============================================================================
The game starts off with Ray and Thomas standing toe to toe aiming at each
other and ready to fire. Ray wants justice, and as the screen goes black
You hear a gun shot.
- Atlanta Georgia 1864. Two years earlier
You start the game off required to play as Ray (press RT) As soon as you gain
control, walk forward until you meet up with another soldier. You will hear
all types of cannons and gunfire, but don’t worry about this since no one is
shooting at you yet.
the soldier tells you that lieutenant fox needs you at the flank and that the
Yankees have taken the forest.

New Objective: REPULSE ENEMY ATTACK ON THE RIGHT FLANK
------------------------------------------------------
Follow the soldier straight ahead until you reach the flank. Just before
reaching the soldiers, look to the left and you will see a small ammo crate.
After you grab some ammo, begin firing at the enemy soldiers from the flank.
After killing about 4 or 5 enemies here you will hear a horn sound, and then
a giant explosion on the side.

New Objective: REPULSE ENEMY ATTACK ON THE RIGHT FLANK
------------------------------------------------------
Follow your objective star around the corner and you will see an ammo box
highlighted in red. If you need the ammo feel free to open the box and grab
what you need. Continue ahead and around the corner
Save Point
You should now be alongside a group of soldiers firing up ahead in the
distance. Follow the same steps as previous and after gunning down about 3 or
4 enemy soldiers you will hear the horn blow again.
After you kill enough enemy soldiers, the nearby soldier will tell you that
they will stay behind and wait for another wave, but you need to go and secure
the next area. Ray suggested informing headquarters in case his brother is in
trouble, but he is instructed to secure the area instead.

New Objective: FIND AND ELIMINATE ENEMY SOLDIERS IN THE CAMP

follow your objective star and head through the stuck door. as soon as you go
through the door, turn to the left and look down to find a small black box.
Open it and pick up secret #1.
head straight and stay to the right. Follow your objective star and you will
run up behind three enemy soldiers that have made it past the flank. Shoot
these three in the back, and you will hear a soldier yell "there is one in the
tent". Don’t worry about getting shot here, just rush into the tent and take
care of this lone survivor.
CUTSCENE
On your way out, Ray tells Obrien to head over to headquarters. but before
having a chance, poor Obrien gets his head cleaned by a nearby sharpshooter.

New Objective: FIND AND ELIMINATE ANY SHARPSHOOTERS
---------------------------------------------------

************************** SECRET LOCATION 2 **********************************

This secret can be found at any point that you are in this area, so now is
good as ever. after exiting the tent, make an immediate right and move between
the current tent and the next closest tent to you then make a left and walk
straight (you should be behind the tents, but stay to the left). You should
pass a table with a dead body on top, and one of the tents on the left should
have a black box against it on the ground with a secret inside.
Once you get secret 2, follow the objective star to the sharpshooters.
Use the trees as cover, and also use the objective marker since they are very
hard to see. If you have a rifle, now would be a good time to use it due to
the great range it has. You will need to kill two snipers in this area to
continue.

New Objective: GO TO THE OFFICERS TENT
--------------------------------------
Once you clear out the sharpshooters, follow your objective marker to the
officer’s tent. When you reach the tent, just walk inside.
CUTSCENE
Ray tells the officer that the enemy is moving through the left flank and
they need to attack now. After the "ok" from Barnsby, Ray is instructed to go
with corporal Scott to attack.

NEW OBJECTIVE: SAVE THOMAS

************************** SECRET LOCATION 3 **********************************

Follow Corporal Scott (or the objective star) to the next area. If you follow
to the next star, you will come to an area with a group of soldiers standing.
Before going to the top of the hill, find the two men closest to the small
stream. If you face these two men, the stream should be behind them. cross to
the other side of the stream and a few feet to the left you will find a small
box with secret #3 inside.
Once you have your secret head to your objective star.
CUTSCENE
Ray tells the soldier that they are going for the trenches, and that they can
go around and behind the enemy soldiers.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FOLLOW THE SOLDIER
---------------------------------
Follow the soldier down and around to the trench. Ray tells the soldier to
hold his charge until he sees an opportunity.

NEW OBJECTIVE: CREATE CHAOS ON THE ENEMY SIDE
---------------------------------------------
Save Point
Follow this path all the way around. Eventually you will come to a point where
you are right behind a group of soldiers standing on a ledge. If you get lost,
follow the objective star.

***** CONCENTRATION MODE *****
------------------------------
- You can enter concentration mode when it is charged
- Press B to enter concentration mode
- You can use concentration mode when it is charged. Shoot enemies to build
your concentration.
Save Point
Here you will learn the mechanics of concentration mode. This is actually very
simple. Press "B" and your target reticle will turn red. you can then scroll
over any enemies in the area to leave a target marker on them. You can do this
until the red bar above has ran out, or you can press "B" again to fire.
After you have killed the enemies with the concentration mode, you will see a
group of enemies come out from your right side and attack you.

NEW OBJECTIVE: REPORT TO THE OFFICER
------------------------------------
Gun down as many of these soldiers as you can and your backup will take
care of the rest. Head over to the officer to report.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FOLLOW THE SQUAD TO THE TRENCHES
-----------------------------------------------
Follow your squad over to the trenches to continue the assault. You will run
pass a beach on your left where a few more enemy soldiers will attack you.
Either shoot them down or continue ahead following the objective star. Be sure
not to go to far left or you will get within range of the cannons and be blown
up. You will eventually reach your next area.

NEW OBJECTIVE: USE DYNAMITE TO MAKE YOUR WAY THROUGH
----------------------------------------------------

NEW OBJECTIVE: CLEAR THE TRENCHES OF ENEMY SOLDIERS
----------------------------------------------------
In this closed in area, you will see an ammo box and an explosives box. To the
right of the explosives box, there seems to be a path, but it is closed off
with a large wooden structure. Grab some dynamite out of the explosives box
and equip it using "RB". toss a piece at the wooden structure and it will blow
a path through.
Head down this path, but take caution since you will be attacked by a group of
enemy soldiers. Use the crate in the path to duck behind if needed, otherwise
make your way through the path.

***** COVER SYSTEM *****
------------------------
- Stand by the edge to automatically enter cover mode.
- Move RS left and right to peek from behind the corner and shoot enemies
when you get to the end of the path you will see foot prints highlighted in
red on the ground. Go over and stand at this position and learn the mechanics
of cover mode.
To enter into cover mode, simply walk to the corner of a wall and Ray will
slowly peek around on his own. just move away from the wall to leave cover.
Once you enter cover mode here, shoot the three enemy soldiers that attack and
then move to the next cover spot.
- Stand behind the box to automatically enter cover mode.
- It lets you hide and unhide by looking up and down.
Shoot the three enemy soldiers here and continue through the trenches.
Save Point
head to the end of this path and you will have to make a right. Waiting around
the corner you will be attacked by a few more enemy soldiers. grab the oil
lamp on the crate to the right and toss it at the soldiers to stun them. once
they are stunned you will be able to easily shoot them. You can also shoot
the explosive barrel in the distance as well.
You will come to a position where you can either make a right or keep straight.
For now, just keep straight. You will come to an area with an ammo box. grab
your ammo and continue back to come to another area with a second ammo box and
some loot on the ground. Head back out and follow your objective star.
When you get back to the previous area, you will be attacked again by more
enemy soldiers. Carry an oil lamp with you and use it to stun them. There will
be about 4 - 5 enemies here. After you take out your enemies here, you have
the choice to go either left or right. head to the right. You will be attacked
at the next turn so beware of the explosive barrel on the right or it could
kill you if shot.
If you have your concentration built up, now would be a good time to use it
since the soldiers have a lot of cover on the other side. Here you can either
head left, or keep straight. Be sure to head to the left for your 4th secret.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 4 **********************************
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
head to the left and go all the way to the end and make another left. follow
this path all the way to the end and you will find your small black box with
secret 4 inside.
Head back to where you came and this time continue across to where you
previously killed the soldiers. You will come to an area with a Gatling gun
and a door on your right with your objective star. Just walk over to the door
to receive a short cut scene.

Thomas walks out and tells Ray that he rigged the bridge but cant blow it up
because they no longer have control of the cannons. They see the
reinforcements coming and Thomas tells Ray to get on the other Gatling gun
and hold them off.

NEW OBJECTIVE: DEFEND THE POSITION. FORCE THE ENEMY TO RETREAT
--------------------------------------------------------------
Head up the ladder to the right of the first Gatling gun, and hop on the upper
gun. Gun down any enemies that approach.
----------------------------------------
***** Achievement: none shall hide *****
----------------------------------------
Here is a good place to get the "None shall hide" achievement. Using the
Gatling gun, shoot toward anyone that takes cover behind one of the walls.
If you hit one through the wall you will unlock the achievement.
Once you take out enough enemy soldiers, you will receive another small cut
scene.
Cutscene
Thomas tells Ray that he is going to blow the bridge, but Ray offers to go
instead and tells Scott to come with him.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIGHT YOUR WAY TO THE RIGHT AND RECAPTURE THE CANNONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Save Point
Head into the dark room where Thomas was previously located for an ammo box
and some loot. Follow Scott and your objective star down the dark hallway and
to the right. Head to the end and follow around to the left. Keep following
Scott around to the left and then to the right
Save Point
eventually you will see an enemy soldier standing on a platform from up above.
Gun him down and head to that same area. beware because once you turn the
corner here more enemies will be waiting. Scott will do a little damage, and
eventually get shot but you will have to do most of the work here.
Shoot anyone in your path and continue forward. Just be cautious of any
explosive barrels that can take you out. when you get to the end of this
area you will make a right and there will be 4-5 more enemies waiting. Now
would be a good time to use your concentration. If you don’t have your
concentration built up then toss a stick of dynamite down the way.
After you clear these enemies out, head down and to the left and you will be
attacked once again. more dynamite will work perfectly here. When you clear
this area out, find the ladder up ahead and head down. Before going too far,
pull out your rifle or shotgun and aim down the way and you will see a couple
more enemies on a platform in the distance. There is an explosive barrel
behind them, so use this to your advantage.
When the coast is clear, head over and climb the ladder up where you just
killed the two soldiers. there is an ammo box on this platform with some more
dynamite inside. head to the right and you will go up another ladder.
Save Point
There are 4 enemies waiting up top here. Either throw a stick of dynamite
up, or aim for the explosive barrel at the top. then turn to the
right and take out the next couple of guys waiting. There are plenty of boxes
and crates to duck behind here, and there are at least 4-5 enemies down the
way so be sure not to rush into the next area. The enemies will come in from
the right in the next area, so again beware. Once you clear the area out you
will hear one of the soldiers yell out "the Yankees are landing on the river
banks".

NEW OBJECTIVES: PREVENT ENEMIES FROM LANDING
--------------------------------------------
Follow your objective star over to the cannon and press "X" to control it. in
the distance you will see rafts filled with enemy soldiers coming across the
river. here you will need to blast these rafts back to where they came from.
----------------------------------
***** Achievement: D-Day 15g *****
----------------------------------
The trick to getting this achievement is aim. Be sure to fire once the
enemy rafts get on screen. the easy way to achieve this is by adjusting your
aim so that you target reticle is a bit above the actual raft. doing this will
allow the cannon to fire a lot further then normally would. The further away
you blow the rafts, the easier it is to get all of them before they land.
There should be a total of about 18 rafts.
Once you have completed this task, you will hear a soldier yell out that the
enemies are rushing the bridge. he ask Ray what he wants to do, and Ray says
he is going to blow his bridge up.

NEW OBJECTIVES: MINE THE BRIDGE
-------------------------------
follow your fellow soldier down and back onto the battle field. follow him
over to a group of rocks and 4 enemy soldiers will attack you. duck behind the
rocks, and gun these soldiers down. Look to the right and you will see a large
bridge just waiting to be destroyed. Notice the four objective stars. You will
need to plant dynamite on all four of these stars. Head below the bridge.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 5 **********************************
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are four stars showing where you plant your dynamite. From the area that
you will be coming from, head to the star on the right side and you will see
a rock with a dead body on it. look at the dead body, and notice a secret
poster next to his right hand. grab it!
once you've grabbed the secret, plant the dynamite on all four stars
----------------------------------
NEW OBJECTIVES: BLOW UP THE BRIDGE
----------------------------------
Once you have planted the dynamite, head to the opposite side of the bridge
from where you started and you will see a rather large rock along with a
detonator next to it. Press the detonator and watch the fireworks.

You see the battle field destroyed, and you see Ray asking where the
reinforcements are at. Finally someone shows up, but it’s just the sergeant.
He tells the brothers that Barnsby is calling for a retreat. Ray tells him
that they are holding the line and they should not retreat. He then says that
the family home is in harms way and he refuses to let it be burned.

Chapter 2 - COJ08 5/5 secrets
===============================================================================

NEW OBJECTIVES: GO WITH YOUR BROTHER TO THE FAMILY HOUSE
--------------------------------------------------------
As this chapter starts, you are only able to control Thomas this time. once
you gain control, Follow Ray up the hill until you come to a cut scene.
Cutscene
Thomas will see a dead body on the ground being attacked by the nearby crows.
The screen gets dark as if you were in concentration mode and Thomas shoots
all the crows. Ray tells Thomas that he must have learned some new tricks.
Head further up the road and you will see another dead body. This time you are
prompted to press B to enter concentration mode.
- Press B to enter concentration mode
- save point
- press and hold RT and keep holding
- Now use the RS as the revolvers hammer to shoot quickly
Follow these steps to use the concentration mode and shoot the crows. Once you
have done this continue ahead. You will come to an area with some burning
houses on the right side. two enemies will attack from the side road. Be sure
to use cover and shoot them down before they have a chance. After you gun
these two soldiers down, head down the road, but stay close to
the houses on the inside of the fence (simply follow your objective
star). you will hear someone screaming for help here.

NEW OBJECTIVE: RESCUE JACKSON
-----------------------------
run toward your objective star and you will see a door on fire with someone
inside the house.
Close to this location you will see a well with a few buckets of water next to
it. grab one of the buckets and toss water on the door to put the fire out.
next try to open the door, but Thomas will not be strong enough to open it.
Ray will tell you to step aside while he breaks through the door.
Jackson will tell ray and Thomas that the soldiers took over and killed all
the cattle.

NEW OBJECTIVE: CHECK THE STABLES
--------------------------------

stand on the other side of the doors to start cooperative concentration mode.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
a new objective star will appear on screen next to a stable and you will see
Ray run over to the door. You will also see the glowing red footprints on the
opposite side of the door. Stand on top of the footprints to start coop
concentration. During this process, you and your brother will break through
the door, and in slow motion have an easy shot at anyone waiting inside.

***** achievement: Yankee Cow *****
-----------------------------------
As you break through the door, notice that there are no enemies on the other
side, but instead just some cattle. You can get the Yankee cow
achievement here if you do not kill the cow.
- Each crosshair represents one of your two revolvers. press LT and RT to
shoot both weapons

************************** SECRET LOCATION 1 **********************************
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you enter into this stable turn to the right and go to the end. when you
get to the end look to the right and there will be a small box on the ground.
open the box for your first secret of the chapter.
Once you have your secret, turn around and head over to the area that Ray is
standing in. you will need to jump up to the next level where the red glowing
footprints are. Press "A" to jump up, and once you are up just stand over the
foot prints to pull your brother up. Once ray is in the same area as you, he
will break through a close by wall, follow him down to the next area and you
will find an open door.
Save Point
When you head through the door you will see Jackson running across the field
and some soldiers firing at him. Ray will tell you to follow him since the
soldiers can’t see you two. You can fire at the soldiers from here,but it is
not suggested. Follow ray off to the side and behind the houses nearby. the
first house will have a ladder behind it. Find this ladder and head up. This
will give you a good vantage point to shoot from.
There will be anywhere from 8 to 12 enemies in this area, so look out. some of
them will sneak behind you if you stay on ground. once you have cleared out as
many enemies as you can from the rooftop, hop across to the next roof.
in this house you will find a box with some loot inside. Leave out of this
house, and remember to watch out for any enemy soldiers. once you have picked
up the loot in this house, run to the next house over.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 2 **********************************
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you reach this area go into the 3rd house. inside there is a ladder. look
right next to the ladder and there will be a small box with a secret inside.
also next to the bed is another ladder with two bags of loot.
Head out of this house and make you way to the end. of this group of houses
and feel free to search the different houses for loot.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 3 **********************************

Make your way to the 2nd house from the end in this area, and head through the
door. there is some loot on one of the beds and in a box next to the other.
head up the ladder and you will find another small black box with secret
number 3 inside.
When you get to the end of the houses, follow Ray down the field. until you
come to the dead body of the man previously known as Jackson

Once you take a look at the dead body, a soldier will fire at you from a
distance with a Gatling gun.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FOLLOW YOUR BROTHER
----------------------------------
Ray will hop the fence and run through the corn field in attempts to avoid the
Gatling gun. follow him and he will eventually stop. When you come to a stop,
you will see 6 soldiers coming straight at you in the corn field. Thomas will
tell Ray to duck down and out of sight
- Kill all enemy soldiers in the cornfield before they find your brother
- use the corn field to stay hidden
- The knife is a silent weapon
you can approach this one of a couple ways. It is intended for you to use the
knife here and kill the enemies by staying silent and sneaking up on them. You
can equip your knife and head toward the soldiers, but doing things this way
can possibly get you off track since there is no map. if you are able to find
the soldiers (which is not hard at all) throw a knife at them to kill them
silently. Kill them all to recieve the Cathcher in the Rye achievement.

The second and easier way (requires good aim) is to just pull out
your rifle and gun them down at first sight. The problem with this method is
that there are about 6 enemies, so if your aim is not particularly good then
you may get shot before you can take them all out, especially on hard
difficulty.
If you duck down and use your knife, but then get lost in the cornfield, don't
hesitate to stand up and find out where the remaining soldiers are. would
suggest heading directly for the soldier all the way to the right, kill him
turn left and head toward the other ones.

NEW OBJECTIVE: MEET WITH YOUR BROTHER IN THE SAFE ZONE

NEW OBJECTIVE: GO TO THE TREE

follow your objective star to the safe zone which is a nearby tree. You will
see a fire started. Looks like the soldiers are trying to smoke you
out to the Gatling gun. You will see a dead body on the ground, next to the
body is a lasso. grab the lasso by pressing "X"
- Find a place to catch - will be highlighted when in range.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIND A GOOD SPOT IN THE TREE TO TAKE DOWN THE MAN ON THE
GATLING

look to the top of the tree and you should see a red circle indicator showing
that you can lasso up to the tree branch above. When you find the
red indicator, follow the on screen prompts
- Press and hold Rt
- Spin the lasso by rotating RS
- Use LS to climb
Once you are to the top of the tree look for the objective star and pull out
your rifle. hold aim for a few seconds to zoom in on the Gatling
gunner. Once the zoom is close enough, gun him down and hop back down the
tree. Follow your brother over to the area with the Gatling gunner was.

as you get closer to this location, at least 5 more enemies will attack.gun
these guys down quickly. You will hear Ray tell you to grab a horse.
follow him over and hop on the horse next to his. Follow your objective star
down to the end of this dirt road, and 3 more enemies will be waiting.
when you get to this gate, hop off your horse and head in.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GO WITH YOUR BROTHER TO THE FAMILY HOUSE

be quick to take cover as enemies will fire on you the second you come around
the corner. The objective here is to make it to the other end of this area in
one piece. wave after wave of enemy soldiers will attack you hear though, so
be sure to duck behind the trees if needed. Remember to also use your
concentration in this area if you have it built up. Once you are able to
battle your way to the other end of this path you will have a big surprise
waiting. Yup an enemy soldier will be firing a cannon from in front of the
house.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET INSIDE THE BUILDING
--------------------------------------
When you get to this area, Ray will tell you to run when they are reloading.
However, that is a good way to get yourself killed. Try not to make this area
harder then it seems, just stay far back in cover and shoot each of the
soldiers one by one until there are none left. They will fire from
a number of areas. There will be at least 2 on the top of the roof, from the
windows below the roof, and on ground level next to the cannon. There are many
enemies here, but they are predictable, and easy to gun down if you take your
time. just stay far enough back to stay out of the cannons range. Once you
shoot enough enemies, the path will be cleared, and ray will head up and wait
for you at the building door. head over to the red footprints for a coop
concentration.

there will be 5 enemies on the other side of the door waiting.
They are pretty easy to kill since you will be in coop concentration. To get
the achievement, just be precise here and be sure to kill all the enemies.

Ray will tell you to go to the front balcony so you can
catch them in the crossfire.

head up the steps here and when they split, follow then to the right. at the
top of the steps is an open window on the left. Hop out the window onto the
balcony and look to your right to find a small box with secret 3 inside

head back in through the same window, and look straight ahead. You will see a
door with a small box to the right of it on the ground (behind the cabinet).
open it for secret 5
Once you have collected your secrets, head to the open door near ray and there
will be another window. Hop on the ledge and equip your lasso. you will see a
red indicator to the balcony on the left, and you can lasso onto it. you will
see the red footprints again so be sure to stand on them for another coop
concentration.
Ray will break through the door on the opposite side to distract the enemies,
and you will break in the door from behind and gun them all down without one
shot coming your way. There will be 4 enemies in this room
Cutscene
Here we meet William, the third McCall brother. It turns out that the
brothers’ mother died through the night. William says that he tried to
protect her, but was overwhelmed. Thomas suggested heading for the harbor to
find some transportation

NEW OBJECTIVE: GO TO THE BOAT
-----------------------------
Head out the previous window where you found secret 3, and hop down to the
ground. enemies will attack up ahead so beware. you should be safe to run to
the brick wall up ahead. Use the wall as cover and gun down the 4 enemies in
this area. Look far out in the distance and notice a boat coming to the shore.

NEW OBJECTIVE: USE A CANNON TO DESTROY THE STEAMBOAT AND STOP REINFORCEMENTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are multiple cannons in the area, but grab the one closest to the water
and aim at the boat. fire away!! 10- 13 hits should do the trick here
depending on the difficulty level you are using. once you
have destroyed the boat, either fire a few more cannons at the survivors, or
hop on the close by Gatling gun and mow them down with it.
Cutscene
Thomas tells ray that they can’t stay for long. Ray states that they will
come back after the war and this will be their home again. 3 hours later. here
we see Barnsby they notice that the brothers have put in a lot of work.
Barnsby says that the brothers violated a direct order and it is because men
like them that Atlanta burned.

Chapter 3 - COJ09 secrets: 5/5

- Fort smith, Arkansas, 1965
This chapter starts off with Ray and Thomas doing a little wrestling inside
of a saloon. William asks what they are doing, but they say just having a
disagreement.
William stated he doesn’t want to get kicked out of another town. we find out
that the two brothers are fighting over a girl that Thomas stole from Ray. We
then find out the girl was the marshal’s daughter. just as we find this
information, the marshall shows up and demands answers. The McCall’s have
crossed the line this time... hows about a duel!!!
Save Point
From this point you have the opportunity to choose which brother you play as.
For this chapter it doesn’t matter which one, both are equally good here
Thomas - agile deadly at long range with rifle. uses lasso to reach higher
spots. can use box
Ray - strong deadly at close range with dual wield revolvers. uses
dynamite to blow things. can carry Gatling.
Once you have chosen your brother you will be placed in your first duel.
- Defeat the sheriff in a showdown.
- Use LS left or LS right to move and see your enemy
- Use RS to control your hand
- keep your hand close to your gun but don’t reach for it too early
- When you hear the bell, reach for the gun with RS and shoot
The object hear is to watch your enemies’ movement. whichever way he walks,
walk the opposite so he is always positioned in front of you.
if you reach for the weapon to early, you will not draw and there will be
about 4 seconds to which you cannot draw and are wide open for attack.
listen for the bell and flick the RS stick to draw your weapon and you press
RT to fire.

Once you have defeated the sheriff, you will hear your brother tell you to
come into the saloon. Run inside and take cover. after enough shooting, the
enemies will attempt to torch the saloon.

find the steps in the back and follow your brothers up.

when you get to the top of the steps in the saloon, look on the bookshelf on
the right side and there will be a secret sitting there.
once you grab the secret, head through the already open door. and find the
stuck door on the right. break the door open if you are using ray, otherwise
wait for ray to break the door off if you are using Thomas. once you break
the door off, head right and down the steps.
You hear ray say they need to find some horses to escape.
When you get down the steps, follow your brothers and they will eventually
come to stand in front of your first weapon store.

From the saloon, first head down the steps and turn to the right. walk to the
end here and turn left. You should see the weapon store directly ahead.
before walking to the weapon store, look for a shed on the right side with
some stacks of hay under it. directly next to the hay stacks is a small box
with a secret waiting inside.
Once you have picked up your secret, head inside the gun shop. here you can
purchase any ammo, or guns you may need. keep in mind this is the first shop
so the weapons will not be anything to special. If you don’t have one though
I would suggest investing in a rifle. Head out the door and follow the
brothers. if you are using Ray you will need to wait for Thomas to climb up
top and then just stand in the red footprints and he will help you up. if
Thomas, follow William up to the top and then turn around and help
Ray up by standing in the red footprints. when you get up top, break
through the door and there will be one harmless woman inside.

once you break through the door with the one woman inside, turn to the left
and there will be a small box with a secret inside next to the bed.
head through the open window on the side of the room and Thomas sees a stage
coach, and the brothers are thinking about stealing it. William suggest
turning yourself in.

Thomas: If playing as Thomas here, jump off the ledge and head toward the
stage coach. there are enemies in the area, so you may want to take care of
them before hopping on. once on the stage coach it will automatically drive
to the proper location.
Ray: If you are playing as Ray here, head to the opposite end from Thomas and
William and fire on the enemies from above to keep them occupied while Thomas
steals the stage coach. there should be about 6 enemies in this area. once the
stage coach is over by you, hop down and onto the stage coach
while on the stage coach you will not have control over the movement. You will
still control your character and his ability to shoot, but the stage coach
will drive on its own. Once on the stage coach, it will begin to ride through
town. enemies will attack, but are not much of a threat unless playing on
hard, and even then they are not that tuff here. just shoot them as you see
them, but don’t worry if you miss one.
eventually you will reach a point where your enemies will pull a wagon out in
front of the stage coach. there will be about 5-6 enemies here shooting at
you. if you have concentration then use it to take care of the enemies before
getting off. You will here ray tell Thomas to cover him while he tries to
move the wagon.

NEW OBJECTIVE: MOVE THE HAY WAGON

Regardless of who you are playing as, you do have the ability and </pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
should get off of the stage coach since there are two secrets in this area for
you to collect

hop off of the stage coach after the enemies pull the wagon in front. once you
are off the stage coach on one side is a grave yard and on the other is a
bunch of barrels etc. head to the left side where the barrels, shed and stuff
are, and under one of the sheds is a box with the secret inside

************************** SECRET LOCATION 5 **********************************

before moving the hay wagon, head into the actual barn that it was pulled
from. look to the left once you walk in, and on the ground under a small tub
is secret number 5
If you are Thomas, then Ray most likely has already attempted to move the
wagon and is now waiting back at the stage coach. if you are using ray, then
head to the wagon and you will see the red hand prints. use these to try and
push the wagon.

NEW OBJECTIVE: ESCAPE FROM THE TOWN
-----------------------------------
once you realize that Ray is too weak to move the wagon, more enemies will
come from the barn and attack. if they get to close, gun them down and get
back to the stage coach.
Save Point
the stage coach will move through the city with no problem, so all you have to
do is shoot anyone that becomes a threat. You will come to a couple of coop
concentrations along the way, and also a spot where your path is blocked by a
group of cows. fire your gun into the air to start a stampede and the cows
will clear the area. eventually Thomas will drive the coach through a store.
there will be 2 more coop concentrations here, but shortly after Thomas will
stop. you will tell William to take control, and you will then get inside of
the stage coach.
Save Point
Once you are inside, notice there are two windows. once on each side. face
the back of the stage coach and as your are riding, enemies will attack from
both sides by horse and you will need to gun the down. the first 3 enemies
will attack on your right. the next two on the left, and then another 3 on
the right. Once you have finished them you will head up a hill and here
Thomas say they gave up. They will then begin to toss dynamite your way, but
in effort to stop you they blow a road block in their own path.
you see William asking what you have done. he tells them that they will be
hunted down since they killed a us marshall. Ray suggest to go to Mexico
since there is a treasure outside of Juarez. If they can find this then they
will be able to rebuild their home. Ray tells Thomas that he will kill him if
he every steals another woman from him.

Chapter 4 - COJ11 secrets: 5/5

We see Running River speaking to his people. he tells his people that the
treasure belongs to his people and it is a source of power. We find out that
he has a plan to use a sacred medallion to trade for guns. Running river
decides to send his son "seeing farther" on the mission to get the medallion.
We see Thomas, William and Drunk Ray sitting in a bar talking about the
treasure. William states that the treasure is nothing but a fairly tale.
Here we meet Marisa, she catches Rays eye, but before she can walk out
she is harassed by the two men at the door. One of them tells her that
Mr. Devlin wants to see her, and this buys him a spit in the face. The two
men attempt to attack Marisa and one is shot in the head by Ray.
Choose your character here to begin the chapter (choose ray to have a good
chance to get the Arkansas Fried Rooster achievement)
As you start, you will automatically be positioned behind the counter. use
this as cover for the bandits directly in front of you. they will be hiding
behind the tables, and also from above on the second floor. The enemies up
top are particularly hard to kill since they tend to stay behind cover. Once
you have cleared the room. Thomas will tell Ray to come. You here the
previous man outside with the girl telling the brothers to come and get her.
Head over to the door for the coop concentration.
Save Point
break through the door with the coop concentration and gun down the 6 men on
the other side. Once you have finished them all you will see the same guy
telling you to come get the girl if you dare.

NEW OBJECTIVE: RESCUE THE GIRL FROM THE BANDITS' HANDS

Save Point
Follow your brother around the corner and follow the objective star. in the
next area, kill the guy who rushes up at you when you move a little further
into this area notice that there are bandits shooting from the roof as well.
be sure to kill the roof bandits as they will toss dynamite that can do a lot
of damage.

***** Achievement: Arkansas Fried Rooster *****
-----------------------------------------------
Once you have cleared this one section, look ahead in
the middle of the area. there are a lot of roosters in this area, so if you
picked Ray, pull out a stick of dynamite and find 5 of them close to each
other and toss it in. You will need a total of 10 roosters for the
achievement.
once you are done here, follow your objective star up ahead. You will notice
that the door is closed and unable to be opened. If you look to the far right
from here you will see a stone wall with a stair case next to it. head up
these steps and you will see William run up behind following behind his
brothers. if you are playing as Thomas, climb up top to the platform and then
help Ray up, if you are Ray then head to the red footprints and allow Thomas
to help you up. Once you get up top, follow Thomas down the other
side. When you get down the stone steps look straight ahead and you will see
another staircase with some bandits waiting. shoot them down and head up the
steps. when you get to the top, turn to the right and you will see more
bandits firing at you.

once you get into this area, you will see a few houses on the left, and then
one house on the right. Head toward the last house on the left, and in the
far corner between the house and the stone wall, there is a small box with a
secret inside of it
once you grab your secret here finish shooting the bandits on the other side
of the wall. when you go into this area and turn right, more bandits will be
waiting up the road. on this road there is a large barn on the left side.
inside you can find some ammo and loot. Once you have searched the barn, head
over to your brother to enter the next area.
before going through the door you see William still following you despite
instructions to stay away.
head around the corner here and two snipers will fire at you from the roof
ahead. If you are Ray you will need to stay behind and cover Thomas, but if
you are Thomas you will need to make your way up to take out the snipers.

RAY OBJECTIVE: ENGAGE THE ENEMY IN BATTLE, COVER THOMAS

After seeing William for the second time, you will be in the next area. where
there are two snipers waiting to fire at you from a roof. immediately after
ray tells William that he is going to get them killed turn around. Take a
couple steps forward next to your brother and turn to the left. again beware
of the snipers in this area. run straight across and make a left to find a
small box with the secret inside. or another way to put it is to turn
around, and follow the wall on your left side all the way around and
into the corner. There is a secret box here
Once you have grabbed your secret, take cover and fire at the snipers. to
keep them busy. if you kill them it works out, but if you simply hold and
cover Thomas then he will kill them.

If you are playing as ray, be sure to kill the snipers on your own to get the
Sharpshooter Distraction achievement. if playing as Thomas be sure to kill
them within 10 seconds.
Once the path is cleared follow your objective star around the corner to the
left. more bandits will attack here as usual so use the cover around you to
prevent death. You will eventually come to a large stone wall with a brown
wooden doors and red footprints for coop concentration. Stand in the
footprints and unleash the beast on the bandits behind the door. There should
be about 8 enemies in this area. Once you have cleared the area out head
forward following your brother and the objective star.
in the next area the rattler will stand out and challenge you to a
duel. they call him the rattler, because that’s how fast he is.

NEW OBJECTIVE: DUEL WITH THE RATTLER AND KILL HIM
-------------------------------------------------
Use the same steps as the previous duel and he should not be a problem.
You find out that they took the female to the church and your brothers
tell you to follow them. Do the usual and follow your objective star. When
the bandits attack, gun them down and continue ahead down the alley. if
you correctly follow your objective star you will come to a large open
market place type area with a weapon shop called (Tienda de pistolas)
inside (you will know this area because you will pass in between two
buildings with fruit boxes outside of them to enter the market
area). There will be about 7 bandits in this area so kill them and let’s
find another secret.

In this market area, right in the middle is a tent area. look for three
barrels positioned next to each other and there will be a small box next to
them with your secret.
If you need ammo, head into the weapon shop and tool up. otherwise follow
your objective star around and down the hill to your next area. when you head
down the hill into the next area, you will be attacked by more bandits.
notice a staircase to the right as soon as you enter this area. head up the
steps.

when you get into this area, hed up the steps and look at the bench on the
side. you will see a hat with a secret on the bench next to it.
Once you grab your secret keep on after your objective star. we will find
this girl yet!!!
in the next area you will see two bandits with the girl next to a wagon.
she breaks free and runs into the church and the bandits' fire at her. gun
these bandits down and pursue. follow the girl up the steps and you will come
to the church. head inside and you will see your mystery girl
The girl ask who they are and then William tells that they won’t hurt her.
as soon as you can catch your breath, more bandits attack from behind you.
luckily the door is closed so let’s not rush. instead let’s get our last
secret.

head all the way to the back of the church, even past the girl and turn to
the right. on the floor in this corner is a small box with a secret inside.
once you have grabbed your secret head back to the front of the church for
another final co-op concentration for the level. stand in the red foot prints
to break through the door. There should be 4 enemies in your view. after you
kill then, about 7-8 more will attack. Most will come from the far left side
over the stone wall. Once you have cleared the area you will receive a cut
scene

you meet up with Juan Mendoza (Juarez). everyone thinks each other for the
help, but Juarez thanks the brothers for saving Marisa. he then invites the
brothers to a little gathering he is having later. it turns out that Juan
Mendoza was the leader of a big outlaw band, and William figured this would
lead to trouble. Juan tells the brothers that he has something that need to
be done. he ask them to take care of Devlin and he will pay them with the
treasure.

Chapter 5 COJ12 Secrets 5/5
===============================================================================
As the chapter starts off we see Thomas and Ray standing at the top of a
large cliff. Ray ask Thomas if they should do it quietly. Thomas looks over
the cliff and drops a present for the bandit below.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIND DEVLIN
--------------------------
Start the chapter you will need to head down the hill up ahead. When you get
a little ways down you will come to a wooden surface, and bandits will begin
firing at you from up ahead. When you get to the wooded area, head over to
the left there will be at least 4-5 enemies waiting here. Take cover and gun
them down from the cliff to make things easy on yourself. Head down the
wooden steps and continue forward. More bandits will attack from up ahead.
Eventually you will head around a short curve and reach the bottom

In this open area you will see 3 stage coaches. In between two of them will
be a wooden stall and a small black box with a secret inside.
After you collect your secret follow the objective star ahead to the next
area. As you head forward you will come to an area with a lot of wooden
structures. and a bunch of bandits. There are at least 8-10 enemies in this
area.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 2 **********************************
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this area, walk to the center and then turn right. Head all the way to the
end and you will come to a wooden fence with a few horses on the opposite
side. When you get to the fence, turn right and on the ground is a small
black box with a secret inside.
Once you grab your secret here, turn around and head toward your objective
star. If you explore the right side of this area further up from where the
horses were, you will notice a path leading to the right. At the end of
this path you will find a gun dealer, so feel free to purchase new weapons
if needed.
You will come to another hill leading up with a couple bandits
attacking from ahead. Kill them and continue up. When you get toward the top
of the hill, look out for the bandit throwing dynamite from up above the top
of the wooden platform. When you reach the top you will see a large building
up ahead.
Cut scene
Ray calls for Devlin to come out. Ray tells Devlin that they are taking over.
Devlin tells the brothers that he was considering giving them a job, but that
obviously wouldn’t work. Devlin walks off.

NEW OBJECTIVE: CHASE DEVLIN
---------------------------
When you gain control, bandits will begin shooting at you from the building
where we just seen Devlin. The first two should be on the ground level, there
should be one on the roof and two more in the windows. Follow your brother to
the door for a coop concentration. This concentration will give you the
opportunity to kill 4 enemies.
Kill the bandits with concentration here, and head straight to the back to
find a staircase leading up. head up the steps and around the corner. Gun
down the bandits in this hallway.

when you get up the steps, follow around the corner. Go through the first
open door on your right side and look for a secrets box on the floor on the
right side of this room next to the door.
Head back out this room and out the open door to the right. there should be
another enemy waiting up ahead around the corner. kill him and head forward.
when you move around the corner, look out for the enemies shooting from
below, there should also be one at the water tower as well. Kill all
the enemies in this area.
Here you will split and your directions will be slightly different depending
on which character you are playing. Ray will tell Thomas that Devlin escaped
through the courtyard but the gate is blocked off. Thomas tells ray that he
will jump over to the other side and open the gate.

If playing as thomas, pull out your lasso and use it to swing to the other
side of the platform. head around the corner here and drop back down to the
ground. you will see a large explosion and the water tower will fall over
destroying the passage gate.
If playing as Ray, you will simply need to cover your brother as he makes his
way to the opposite side. enemies will come out from the cliff on the other
side’s (by the explosive) and from down below as well. You will eventually
hear an explosion and here Thomas calling for you.
Save Point
Ray tells Thomas to go above, and he will go below and they will both meet up
at the end.

RAY OBJECTIVE: LOOK FOR DEVLIN IN THE MINE SHAFT

Thomas objective: look for Devlin in the canyon

If using Ray, follow your objective star to the gate in this area. Head
through the gate and to the left. You will walk down a hill.
Save Point
About half way down the hill you will be attacked by more enemies. Take cover
by one of the large rocks ahead and take them all out. There should be about
5 enemies in this area. There are ammo boxes in this area under the sheds if
you need to replenish. Once you have taken them out, head forward into the
mine up ahead. Use the objective star on the screen to keep your way. Once
you get into the mine the path will split. Look for a box right in the middle
of the path split though to grab some explosives.
If you go to the left or the right both should have the same results, you
will come to a boarded up area that you can not proceed through. Toss your
dynamite into this wooded structure to clear a path for you to follow. Once
you clear the path head forward and take out any enemies that attack. Move
up the steps if you want to have the high ground, but eventually you will
have to drop down. This narrow path should have a couple more enemies to
kill. You will eventually come to another area that needs to be blow up to
continue. The Boards look exactly like the previous ones. Blow these boards
up and continue to follow your objective star.
Save Point
When you get around the corner here, you will be attacked by a few more
enemies. One will be on the platform above you so look out for him. When you
get about halfway into this area, you will here a couple enemies yell "he's
coming he's coming, light the fuse". When you hear this you will also here
some very loud explosions in the walls as well. Run up ahead to avoid being
caught in the explosion.
Cutscene
You meet up with your brother here. Ray ask Thomas if he has seen Devlin, but
Thomas tells him that Devlin is still on the run. Ray replies that it is
because he was on his trail.
If using Thomas, follow your objective star up the steps and around the
corner. There will be bandits shooting from the rooftops and platforms
up above on the left side. Once you get to the edge here and kill the
5 or 6 bandits to the left, pull out your lasso again and use it to swing
across the gap. head straight ahead and go up the small steps and make a left.
there will be another gap here to swing across using your lasso. when you
come to the end of this platform a bandit will be shooting at you from the
ledge on the left side here. Kill him and jump over and climb up this
ledge. You will see Devlin run away on horse. Head down the wooden steps
here, all the way down to ground level.
Follow your objective star behind Devlin and when you reach it you will
reunite with your brother.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIND A WAY TO ELIMINATE THE SNIPER
-------------------------------------------------
you will come to an opening and immediately be fired at by a sniper. If
playing as Ray you will need to find a way up to take him out while Thomas
covers you. Take the path on your right side (across from where Thomas is
standing). This will lead you up and close to the sniper for a wide open
shot. When you find the opening, take a shot and take down the sniper.
Once you take out the sniper head back down to the middle area. There will be
enemies down below. Your brother will begin the assault from where he was
previously standing, and you can get in a few good shots from higher up.
Clear this area and meet your brother at the bottom. Enemies will then come
from the platforms above.
You will hear Thomas say "These are his horses he had to go up".
Follow behind your brother up the First set of wooden steps. He will then
turn to the left and head up a second set of steps. Follow him up these as
well. When you get to the top turn around and there will be a third set of
steps with enemies up top waiting. Kill the enemies and head forward
to find a fourth set of steps. Kill the enemies at the top of the steps and
head up.

************************** SECRET LOCATION 4 **********************************

When you reach the top of the 4th set of steps, turn around and you will find
a wooden platform leading in the opposite direction of your brother and the
objective star. Head to the end of this platform to find a box with a secret
inside.
Turn around and head back and up the 5th set of steps behind your brother.
and head to the left. Kill the one enemy up here if you haven't already done
so and head up the hill. More enemies are waiting at the top. follow your
objective star up ahead and around to the right through the dark cave.
Save Point
Once you cross your checkpoint, more enemies will begin firing at you from up
ahead. Kill the enemies here and grab some ammo from the ammo box in the
area and continue forward. When you get into this large open area, you will
be attacked from a lot of enemies. From above and from behind cover ahead so
be very cautious here. There will be six enemies to start with (3 will be on
the steps above and the one will toss dynamite). If you have concentration,
now would be a great time to use it. Kill the enemies here and head up the
steps where the one guy was tossing dynamite. More enemies are waiting here
from all over. There should be about 5 enemies waiting with two of them on
the platforms above.
Follow your brother and objective star up ahead. You will walk up a hill and
when you reach the top, four more enemies will attack with two of them
shooting from the platform at the top of the steps. When you
get up the steps follow around to the right and up another set of steps. Look
to the right again and head up the last set of steps here. Kill the enemy
waiting here on the right and find the wooden bridge and follow your brother
across.
When you get to the other side make a right and another 2 enemies will be
waiting for you next to a wooden shack.

Go past the wooden shack where you were just being shot at and head down the
steps. When you get to the bottom of the steps, make an immediate left and
you should see a rock, and also two crates stacked on top of each other. walk
between the rock and the crates and then turn left again to go behind
the rock and the steps and there will be a box with a secret inside.
Once you grab your secret, head up the steps to the right behind your brother
and make a left. Follow him across the small wooden bridge around and out of
the cave.

You see Devlin and another man waiting here. Devlin tells the man to kill
Thomas and Ray. The man tells the brothers that he kills for money and he has
seen the wanted posters for them.

means walking the opposite way of him. He is fast, so listen for the bell and
watch his arm movements. Keep your hand as close to your gun as possible

target reticle turns red fire because if you wait too long you will be shot.

Ray grabs Devlin and throws him on the ground with his gun in his hand.
Devlin tries to offer money to the brothers in exchange for his life. Ray
aims at Devlin but then the little brother comes to the rescue. He begs ray
not to shoot Devlin and don’t be like all the bad people who will burn in
eternity. Ray tells him that it is too late for him. The brother says that
the lord is a forgiving man and will forgive people for their sins. Ray s
hoots Devlin and replies "well hell that’s good to know"

Chapter 6 - COJ013 12/12 secrets

Chapter 6 is a bit different from other chapters in the game. This is the
first free roam/side missions chapter. You will choose a brother here, and
you are free to explore any and every area within the desert without having
to worry about a losing the mission for leaving your brother. There are three
side missions here that either can be completed or skipped all together to
continue to chapter 7 and there are 12 secrets to be found here.

From where you start the chapter, run pass/behind the gun shop and you will
see some large stones and a tree up ahead. Go behind the stones and there is

Turn around and run back pass the gun shop and look toward where your
brothers are standing. There will be a windmill and close by will be what

Start your mission and stand directly in front of the gun shop and face the
windmill. you should see your bro standing next to the dirt road. standing
facing your bro and the windmill follow the dirt road to the right (should be
moving toward the objective star). not far ahead the road will split. stay to
the right. once the road splits, look to the right (you should know this by
the very small broken down fence on the right after the split). if you stand
next to the broken fence and look to the right you will see a white building
behind the rocks up ahead. go to this building and there is a ladder at the
back. climb the ladder and there is a box with a secret on top.

stand at the back of the same building and face the mountains behind it.
follow this mountain wall to the left until you come to a wooden platform on
your right side (against the mountain). in front you will see a mine cart
jump on the box next to it and inside the cart is a secret.
Continue following your objective star and make your way over to the next
location.
Save point
When you reach this area you will move through two mountains and see a group
of bandits sitting on the ground. Once they get in sight, they will get up
and begin shooting at you. They also have rifles so beware there are three of
them. Kill them and head forward and to the right. You will head
through another narrow path with more bandits waiting. Keep a look out way
above because one bandit will be waiting way up above. (after killing him, if
you are using Thomas you can lasso up above if you would like to grab the
sniper rifle). There are tons of enemies in this area so use your cover,
concentration, and also the explosive barrels to your advantage.
Clear out this area and do a little searching and you will find loot, and
also ammo boxes in the area. Once you have what you need move on to the next
area. (follow the objective star).
In this next area, again there will be quite a few bandits waiting (10 total)
with one on the cliff up above. Use cover and concentration to take out the
bandits in this area. follow your objective star to the next location and you
will come to a large open area with a rock in the middle.

when you reach this spot in the mission you will have to fight a man in a
cave. in the large open area right in front of the cave where he will shoot
from you will see a rock in the middle of the area with boxes, and loot going
all around it. there will be a supplies box with a light on top and next to
it a small box with a secret inside.
once you grab your secret, you will already be under fire. look toward the
cave where the gun shots are coming from but take cover behind the nearest
rock. you should see an opening ahead where the bandit will run from side to
side shooting at you as he takes cover. Use either your rifle, or if you have
it the sniper rifle and shoot him each time he shows his face. A few good
shots from the rifle should trigger very short scene and a duel

hiding and in the far back right corner you will find some ammo and a rifle.
Once you have everything you needed, head back out the way you came in. When

After killing the bandits, follow the mountain wall on the right side. If you
stay against the mountain on the right you will come to a wooden platform
against the mountain wall. (If using Ray) climb the two ladders
here and make your way up to the top of the platform and place the dynamite
on the rock. after it blows up head forward and the path will end, but
slightly to the right and down below you will see the wooden platform. drop
down to this platform and you will see a bucket on the left with the secret
inside.
(If using Thomas) pull out your lasso, and find the lasso point above and
use it to pull yourself up. once you get up head forward and climb to the
next area to find the same secret

Keep following the mountain wall on the right and you will eventually come
to an open area where you can turn right. follow this area (again be sure
you are following the mountain on your right side) and eventually you will
find a small stone house at the end. jump over the stone wall in the front
(the left side of wall is broken and can be jumped over). the secret is on
the ground next to the brown basket (on the right).
Head back to the gun shop for your next mission.

Start the Ramos mission from the gun shop, find the water tower (next to the
gun shop) and there is a dirt road next to it on the left. follow this road
away from the gun shop and toward Ramos (objective star) and you will
eventually come to see Ramos tower. immediately once the tower gets in full
view stop and you should see a large rock the right of the road, turn right
at this rock and run straight until you find the broken wagon and boxes.
there is a secret in the box on the wagon.
Alternate
When you get to the Ramos tower there will be a large gate to enter the fort.
turn opposite of the fort. make sure you are standing on the road and you
should see some small rocks and then a bigger rock on the right side. head to
this bigger rock and then turn to the immediate left and head straight ahead
to find the broken box, wagon, and barrels. next to the wagon is a small box
with a secret
follow your objective star and Head over to the large fort like area. If
using Thomas, lasso your way up the water tower on the left side, if using
ray blow the gate open with dynamite.
Either way you do it, get inside the for. There will be 5 enemies waiting for
you. Kill them all. head forward and around the corner to the right and there
will be four more enemies waiting. Once you kill them, you will now need to
get inside the building to the middle. If using Thomas, head up the steps in
this area on the side of the building and use your lasso to climb up. head
around the corner up here and kill the bandits. You will see some steps, but
instead of going up, go through the door right next to the barrel in front
of the steps.
If using Ray, you should be able to break through the door under those same
steps at ground level.

when you get inside the building if using ray, enter the building head up
the stairs and enter the first door on the right, if Thomas you will enter
from the top and go to the room straight across from the entrance go through

this room follow around to the left, and when you go past the bed in the
corner will be a safe. open it for a secret.

NEW OBJECTIVE: DON't LET RAMOS GET AWAY

Once you get into the last room here, Ramos will run away to a different
area. After you grab your secret, head out the open door on the right side of
this room and kill the bandit down below. there should be at least 3-4. Once
you kill him, grab your horse and follow the objective star after Ramos.
on your way after him you will be shot at by a bandit standing on a cliff,
either kill him or continue after Ramos (don’t take too long or the mission
will fail). You will come to an old broke down building where Ramos and his
gang are hiding out inside

When you get close to the building, the gang will shoot at you from inside.
just get next to one of the broke windows or the door and kill them from the
outside. Once you shoot them all Ramos will come out to fight face to face.

building, find the nearby road next to it (on the left) and follow this until
you reach the grave yard (enemies will attack). look for the
caskets in the ground and one will be open and have a secret inside

after completing the Ramos mission, face opposite the front of the stone
house where you had your dual and you should see the water tower
in the distance. head to the tower. You will see a stack of wood on one side

ladder is directly on your left side. you will see a hill directly in front
of you with a large rock on it. run straight ahead to this rock. when you
get there you will see a wooden structure looks like a hanging. next to it is
a box with a backpack on it. Kneel down and behind the backpack is a secret.
Head back to the gun shop for your final side mission.

If you follow your objective star from the gun shop, you will come to a large
canyon area. When you get to this area, follow the narrow path to the right.
Look for the first tree branch on your left side, and there will be a
ledge below that you can drop down to. Drop down and go to the left to
find a backpack and also a secret poster.
Head to your objective star to find the stolen cattle. This area can be a
pain if you are not cautious. When you get to your destination, bandits will
start shooting you once they come in sight. there are a lot of bandits here
and they are very spread out. so do not rush into this area guns blazing.
take your time and kill them one by one from long distance to save yourself
some trouble.
Save Point
Eventually you will fight your way to a large open area filled with cattle.
when you reach this area, there will be more waiting. kill any bandits and
head to the right. when you make your right you will come to a circular area
and two bandits will pop out from both sides and shoot you so be careful.
Once you kill them; the final bandit will be waiting up above.
Save Point
Similar to the stolen goods mission, the bandit will pop out and run from
cover area to cover area and shoot as he does. As long as you stay behind
the rocks here and pop and shoot you should be safe. After a few good
shots, the bandit will come out and challenge you to a duel.

that they will be rewarded for their efforts, and introduces them to seeing
father. He tells the brothers that the apaches have the medallion which is
also the key they need to find the treasure. Seeing father tells them that
the medallion is cursed.

Chapter 7 - COJ15 5/5 secrets

Mendoza tells the brothers that things are getting complicated and his gun
runner is in jail. He has been caught by the Pinkertons and they seized over
300 rifles. The brothers agree it’s time to bust the gun runner out.
Ray is standing alone and is approached by Marisa. Ray tells her that they
don’t need anyone else and he can protect her. He also tells her that he
can get her what she wants (The medallion) and he can take it from Juarez.
He would do it for the both of them.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET THE PRISONER OUT OF JAIL
-------------------------------------------
The chapter starts, hop on your horse and head down and around the mountain
following your objective star.
About halfway down ray says they will get in grab the guy and get out. Thomas
is worried that they may be ready for them this time.
When you reach the bottom of the mountain, follow your brother to the nearby
shack to jump over along with your brother
Save Point
When you reach the other side head toward the middle of this area and Thomas
will say "It's too quiet". Once you here this, get ready to take cover.
Enemies will attack from the rooftops on both sides up ahead. About 6 enemies
should attack with three on each side. Once you take care of them, follow
your brother over to the window of the jail house. there are bars on the
window, but they can be pulled down if you have a horse. turn around and
find one of the horses in the previous area where you just had the shootout.
bring it over to the objective star for it to pull the bars off of the
window.

We see the brothers attach the horse to the bars and then give it a smack on
the back. after a little pulling the bars break off.
Head through the window and you will see red footprints next to the door for
co-op concentration mode.

when you break open the door for the coop concentration, the enemies will be
on the right side of the room with one running across to the left. There
should be a total of four enemies.

once you take out all the enemies go pass where the enemies were and make a
left around the corner. up against the wall will be a box on the ground with
a secret inside.
Grab any ammo and there should also be a rifle in this area if you need it
and then turn around and open the door on the left side of the room. there
will be two enemies waiting on the opposite side. head to the room with the
objective star to find that the door is locked.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIND THE CELL KEY
--------------------------------
Once you do so, turn around and head up the wooden steps on your left side.
At the top will be another enemy waiting to kill. Reach the top and open the
door, but beware because more are waiting to shoot you on the other side.
There should be one waiting as soon as you open the door. there should be a </pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
bag of money in this room, once you have grabbed it, head through the door
on your right. There are two enemies in this next room guarding the key
so kill them quickly. Grab the dynamite, any loot, and also the key from
the table. Head back down the steps you previously came from and back to
the locked cell.
Open the door and realize that the prisoner is not in the cell.

NEW OBJECTIVE: FIND THE PRISONER

head back out the room and follow your brother back to the window. There will
be a few bandits waiting for you. Once you kill them, hop out but do not run
into the street or you will be killed by the Gatling gun. Instead head back
the other way following your brother. Ray will suggest going to the top of
the tower to see if there is a better view. Move toward the tower, but take
cover as a group of enemies will come out to try and shoot you down.

There should be 9-10 bandits in this area, so use concentration to kill them.

If using Ray, the bandits will be on the opposite side of the gate on the
roofs so provide cover for Thomas until he reaches the other side and
unlocks the gate for you.
If Thomas, pull out your lasso and find the nearby lasso point on the wooden
balcony above and to the left. Use it to climb to the next level and go in
the door up here. Once you get inside, the window will be blow out, kill
any enemies through the window and hop out. Get all the way down to ground
level and go to the wooden gate to let ray through.

Once the gate is open, follow your brother over to the next area.

you will move through another gate and make a left to go between buildings.
You will come to an area marked explosives, and there will be a few bandits
shooting at you. Just take cover here and fire a couple of shots their way
and watch the fireworks. Don't get to close here or you will be caught in the
blast and die. Once this area is destroyed, head over through the wreckage.

There is a sharp shooter up ahead in the barn across the way, so pull out
your rifle and kill him quickly. Once you take out the sharp shooter, head
toward your objective star. for coop concentration.

before engaging the coop concentration, standing facing the coop
concentration point, make a left and head behind the barn that had
the sharpshooter inside. on the ground is a box with a secret inside.
Head back over and start the coop concentration.
- coop concentration: the bandits will be spread out here and there should be
5 of them to kill.
once you finish the concentration, kill the last two enemies in the area.
if using Ray, cover Thomas as he climbs to the top, if Thomas climb to the
top of the nearby tower. More enemies will attack from the area
ahead (including on the roof).
Thomas says the streets are clear and there are guards on the roof of the
saloon so that is most likely where the prisoner is.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET TO THE SALOON

Once your objective updates, more enemies will attack you from the right.
Take cover and shoot them as they appear. there should be 5-6 bandits here.
head to the objective star and go inside the building. Head through the
building and follow your brother to the left

Open the door here and grab ammo off the table to the left and look through
the window near your brother. You have a good shot on the Gatling gunner
here, so kill him while you have the chance. Once you kill him, kill any
other enemies that come into site through the window.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET ON THE WAGON AND USE THE GATLING GUN

Once you kill the gunner, head out the nearby door and hop on the Gatling
gun and take out all the bandits ahead. After you kill about 15 bandits, you
are free to jump off and continue ahead toward the saloon
Save Point
If you are running low on ammo, look to the left for the gun shop nearby;
otherwise continue ahead to the saloon. On your way there you will be
attacked by enemies on the roof, so make sure you are cautious as you move
through the streets. Also about halfway up, a stagecoach will come rushing up
the street from behind you firing at you. Continue to follow your objective
until you reach another wide open area in front of the saloon.
When you reach this area, Thomas will yell "it's an ambush" bandits will
start firing at you from the rooftops all around so take cover. My suggestion
here is to just stick close to the building opposite of the saloon. There are
plenty stands here to take cover behind, and the bandits on the rooftop
behind you will not be able to get a shot off on you. After killing about 15
bandits on the rooftops, the saloon doors will open and more will come out
and start firing at you. When Thomas says check the saloon, head for the open
doors.

Once inside the saloon, head behind the bar in the corner and at the end on
the floor is a box with a secret inside.
Head up the steps in the saloon once you have collected your secret.

when you get to the steps you will be shot at from a bandit at the top. Kill
him and continue up the steps. When you reach the top, head around the corner
on the left and kill the bandit that is hiding in the doorway on the right
side. Head through this doorway and kill the two bandits waiting inside and
walk over to the prisoner.

The brothers tell the prisoner that Juarez says he owes them some rifles,
and if he leads them to the rifles then he may just live.

Follow the prisoner down and outside of the saloon, and you will be
confronted by a bandit for a duel

Same as the previous duel, keep the bandit centered in front of you, which
means walking the opposite way of him. He is fast, so listen for the bell and
watch his arm movements. Also you can use the background music as a good
indicator as to when to pull your weapon. Keep your hand as close to your gun
as possible without actually reaching for the gun. Once you hear the bell,
flick the right thumb stick back (on PC the mouse) and grab your weapon. Once
the target reticle turns red fire because if you wait too long you will be
shot.

once you have won the duel, follow you brother and the prisoner toward your
objective star. the prisoner will automatically take cover when under attack,
so shoot any bandits that attack and continue ahead. Follow ahead and climb
up the wooden crates with your brother and the prisoner to the rooftops.
follow over and kill the bandits that attack. They will attack from the open
doors, and also from across the street.

Once you drop back down to the ground, instead of following straight ahead
after the prisoner, turn right and look in the far right corner where the
first fence meets the building and you will find a brown box with a secret

After you grab this secret, head opposite of this side. In other words after
dropping down to the ground, turn left and run to the back of this area. you
will see three horses on the left here and there will also be a small black

once you have grabbed your secrets, follow your brother and the prisoner
toward the street. a Gatling gunner will be waiting though, so instead of
running out to the street, find the steps leading up to top and get to the
balcony. This will give you the advantage over the Gatling gunner and all
other enemies firing at you. There will be enemies all in the street, a
Gatling gunner, and also enemies will appear in the upstairs part of the barn
on the far other side. Once you have cleared the street, follow the objective
star to the other side and into the barn.

Mendoza unwrap the mask from the prisoners face. Mendoza states he does not
want a war with the Pinkertons and they need to renegotiate or he will take
his men and go. when they take the mask off we see that the prisoner is
commanding officer Barnsby.

from the gun shop, follow the main road to the railroad area. when you reach
the area, on the right side you will see a large wooden barn. go into the

When you get to your objective star, the railroad worker waiting will tell
you to keep your eyes open because Indians are everywhere. Wait for the
Indians to attack from the other side and gun them down as they
appear from the bushes. Be sure not to let too many of your people die or you
will lose the mission.
My suggestion is to stand on the right side of the barn (near the railroad
workers) since they will also appear on the right side. The Indians will
attack from the top of the barn; jump from over the fence, and also from the
top of the large rock behind the fence. After killing about 15 Indians one of
the workers will yell that they are attacking the second section.

NEW OBJECTIVE: PROTECT THE RAILROAD WORKERS ACROSS THE BRIDGE

follow your objective star to the other side of the bridge. You should be
able to walk right across. Be careful because when you get close to the other
side the Indians will begin shooting and there is nowhere on the bridge to
take cover. When you get to this side, make out where all the railroad
workers are, and look to the opposite side and you will see the Indians
coming from on top of the cliff.
Kill them one by one until they are all done for.

Head back to the large wooden fence. There will be one enemy on the top by
the windmill, and also a bunch on ground level. I counted 15 when completing

wooden fence and gun as many down before entering.

Once you reach the farm, head over to talk to freeman. He tells you that a
man named snipes wants to take his land. and his men were on their way. Once
you talk to freeman, he will tell you to get to the balcony.

Head to the balcony of the house. Pick up any ammo from in the house. Once
you get outside, you will see the men coming to attack. Once they get on

kill and they will all be spread out so make use of the full balcony.

to do the right thing.
Head back down stairs to freemen. Freeman tells you that he has gave you
everything he has, but still begs you not to let snipes get away with this.

the bandits will begin shooting from the roof tops, and from ground level.
There will be at least two enemies just beyond the rock here. In this area,
there is nothing real fancy about it, just take cover and fight your way to
the objective star. Beware of the rooftops and balconies as the bandits love
to shoot from these areas. Head to the building with the objective star, and
enter in and head upstairs. The door should be closed so just head on in.

Follow him up the pathway and toward the objective star. They will lead you
down a dark narrow path. When you get to the end you will receive a cut scene

into the hideout, and inside it is colonel Barnsby. The brothers are help up
with guns to their head. Barnsby states that he made a blood oath to hunt
down everyone who fled his command. He tells them that they will pay for the
betrayal and die.

Chapter 9 - COJ017 secrets: 5/5

Barnsby has all three brothers tied up in a dark room. He says that he
doesn't have a problem beating one of them to death. William tells Barnsby
about the legend of lost gold, and the medallion is the key to the lost
treasure, and the rifles are payment for the medallion.
When the cut scene is over, the brothers will tell William to cut his hands
loose on the nearby saw. When William cuts himself loose he will free both
brothers. Once you are loose, grab the chair in the room, and attack the
one enemy that walks in the room.

Once you knock the guy out, grab his gun and the rest of the ammo from the
ammo box outside the door. There will be bandits standing to the right firing

Once you kill the enemies follow your objective star down the steps. You will
go down four flights, and then come to a very narrow wooden bridge to cross
to the other side.

Once you get to the first narrow wooden bridge, you cross over and make a
left. behind the barrels is a light brown box that contains secret 1.

spot an elevator and hope that it goes to the bottom. You will head down
another flight of steps and four enemies will attack you. Once you kill them,
head across the narrow wooden bridge.
There will be boxes around with ammo and loot, so feel free to take your time
and do a little searching.

Eventually you will come to a closed door where you can engage in coop
concentration. Just stand in the red foot prints to begin. There will be
three enemies waiting behind the door in direct sight. (A fourth will most
likely be waiting behind the barrels in the same area)

Head into this tunnel and to the left. Shoot down the enemies up ahead.
Through the whole tunnel to the end there should be about 8 enemies. When you
get to the end, head out to continue.
once you get out, head down the steps and across the wooden bride. Make a
left and head down the next flight of steps here. When you get down, you will
come to a gap in the path. Across the other side is a draw bridge however
that Thomas can access and lower.

Before heading across the drawbridge, stay on the same side and head over to
the left side and around the corner. You will see two barrels, one on its
side and a secret poster in between.

Thomas objective: GET TO THE TOP AND LOWER THE DRAWBRIDGE

If using Ray, wait for thomas to head for the draw bridge lever and
shoot down the enemies on the opposite side that are attacking. Provide
cover to Thomas and he will reach the other side and lower the bridge for
you.
If using Thomas, go back up the steps you previously came down and pull
out your lasso. Follow around the corner toward the lasso point and stand
at the edge of the platform and lasso over to the other side. Here you will
need to head down these steps and the drawbridge lever will be right here.
Move across the bridge. If any more enemies are
shooting at you, be sure to take them out and continue to follow
your objective star. When you get to the other side, head left and find more
steps leading down. take these steps and when you get to the end more enemies
will attack on the right. Take cover behind barrels and take them out. Once
done, head around to the right and you will come to the third of the narrow
wooden bridges.

When you get across the third narrow wooden bridge here, find the mine cart
near the door to the second mine. Inside this cart is a secret poster.

stand in the proper location to start the concentration. When you break in
there will be six enemies to shoot. They will be spread out with one on the
plank up above across the mine. You most likely will not get all of them so
any that you miss just shoot them down before they realize what happened.
Head inside the mine and William will say "looks like we are stuck". If you
are ray follow your brother over to the ledge for him to help you climb up,
if you are Thomas find the red foot prints at the ledge so you can climb up
and then help Ray up. Once up top more enemies will attempt to shoot you.
head down this narrow path and use all the cover available to keep you
alive. Kill the group of enemies here at the exit and continue ahead. There
should be loot and ammo in this area so be on the lookout.
Once you get out you will come to the elevator. Thomas is eager to get on,
but Ray is not so happy about the idea.

Once you exit out of this mine (The second mine) you will find a crate on the
right next to the edge. Look behind the crate for the secret.
Once you grab your secret, turn around and head across the very narrow wooden
plank, and then down the steps. You will go down two flights of steps and
then further up, more enemies will fire at you right across the next steps.
After you shoot the couple enemies across the steps, you will see that
someone has to go access the lever for the elevator.

THOMAS OBJECTIVE: GET TO THE TOP AND ACTIVATE THE ELEVATOR LOWERING
MECHANISM.

Save Point
If playing as ray, all you have to do is sit back and shoot the enemies on
the opposite side while Thomas goes for the lever. The enemies will shoot
from way up above at the top of the wooden platform on the opposite side.
If playing as Thomas, head down the steps in front of you and cross the
boards to the other side. Once you get to the other side just turn left
and pull out your lasso. if you stand on the wooden platform on this side
and look up you will see the lasso indicators. Use your lasso to pull
yourself up to the next level, and repeat the same thing here to pull
yourself up one more level. Once you are at the top, head to the right and
follow the objective star. you will climb up some rocks and if you follow
the star it will lead you straight to the mechanism you are looking for.
Once you get there, you should be able to just jump over the hole in the
ground to get to the lever (be sure to run and jump) and pull it to lower the
elevator.
When the elevator get down everyone will get on and you will head to the
bottom. Once the elevator starts down, look directly above you because
enemies will appear from above and drop explosive barrels on your head

Shoot down the dynamite before it damages the elevator

Here just shot the barrels as they come falling down. If you get hit by two
or three (depending on the difficulty) you will fail the mission. After you
shoot 7 barrels you will see an explosion up above before you reach the
bottom.

To get this achievement you just need to shoot all the barrels before they
hit you. If one hits you then you will not get the achievement.
Just aim up, and if using ray use your pistols so you have more bullets.

After the explosion, enemies will begin shooting at you from the platform on
the other side. They should be easy to kill with your rifle.

As you keep going lower on the elevator more enemies will attack. but you
will eventually reach the bottom.

Once you reach the bottom of the elevator ride, hop off and look for the
crates and barrels on the right. There is a small light brown box with the
last secret inside.

on the other side before proceeding. Once you take care of them head down
the steps and across the last plank. Before heading down the next flight of
steps, walk to the end of this platform and look down. You should be able to
see the ground from here. there will be some enemies down on ground level.
Kill them before going down. If you have concentration, then I would suggest
using it so you can see the remaining enemies at the bottom. Once you take
them out continue down the steps.
You and your brother will spot some horses at the bottom. but before getting
them you will have one more coop concentration.

on screen, and more further out.

This is a good spot to get the quick hands achievement, but it may take a few
tries. Just try to remember where each enemy is at and reload if you have to.
There are at least 7 enemies that will show on screen.
After the concentration mode, shoot the remaining enemies and head over to a
horse and hop on. once you get on your horse, disregard any other enemies in
the area. Just ride the horse as fast as you can out of the area to complete
the mission because there will be sharpshooters firing at you.

You start the mission with your brothers and are getting ready to find the

EXAMINE THE SURROUNDING AREA

When you start the mission, Look at the back of the stage coach and you will
see tons of guns and ammo that you can purchase. Get what you need and head
toward the first objective star. You will come to a cliff where you need to
help your brother, or get helped up depending on which brother you are using.
when you get to your location you will see wheeping rock and this is where

to a point where one of the men say they seen a Indian in the bushes up

Hop off your horse and head to the woods to take a look around. You will
reach your objective star, but there will be nothing waiting, so head back to
the wagon to report this.

Continue down the path near the wagon and be sure to stay cautious of your
surroundings. You will come to a stop with a large rock structure. Your
view will zoom in on an Indian at the top. Your men will fire at him, but hit
nothing. They will get nervous and demand that you all get a move on it.

once you have this scene of the first Indian on top of the large rock, head
forward and under the arch. As you move ahead down the path keep a close

receive a new objective

If playing as Ray, head to your objective star. and you will come to a
cliff. Down below there will be a number of Indians firing arrows at your
head so beware. There are plenty rocks in this area so stay behind
cover and gun them all down. Once you kill them continue up ahead.
Eventually you will catch up to William. He tells you that he ran away
and left the girl. Ray tells him that they will meet back and Thomas
will save Marisa.
If using Thomas, head to your objective star, and follow up the hill to
the right. Make your way to the top of this hill, but stay cautious
because there will be many indians waiting for you. They are not
hard to kill, and they use the bow and arrow, so as long as you
avoid getting surrounded, you should be safe. When you reach the top
you will meet up with Marisa.

THOMAS OBJECTIVE: MEET RAY AT THE WAGON. PROTECT MARISA
RAY OBJECTIVE: MEET THOMAS AT THE WAGON. PROTECT WILLIAM

If using Thomas, keep Marisa close behind, and stay cautious. On the way back,
Marisa tells Thomas that she can't wait for this to all be over, but
wishes this moment will last forever just to be alone with him. When
you get back to the location Thomas tells Marisa that Juarez needs him,
but he will protect her. Ray walks up with William.
If using Ray, keep William close behind, and stay cautious. When you get back
to the location of the wagon it's now gone. and no one is to be found.

RAY OBJECTIVE: FIND THOMAS AND MARISA. PROTECT WILLIAM
------------------------------------------------------
Ray tells William to stay in cover. Head over to your objective stars and
get ready to do battle. As soon as you head up the cliff to the objective
star, the arrows will begin coming your way. Use your rifle in this area
since it provide a good bit of range. The Indians can be hard to see in the
trees, but look closely and you will find them. Once you clear out the first
wave you will continue ahead to your objective. Once you get about half way
up, more Indians will attack. Use the same directions as before and take them
out one by one. Continue up the mountain side to the objective star.
You will eventually catch up with Thomas. and you tell him that the Comanche
took the wagon. Thomas says they need to catch up and get the rifles.

NEW OBJECTIVE: RETURN TO THE SHALLOW RIVER CROSSING

Follow your objective star over to the river crossing. You will be attacked
by more Indians here so beware. They are hard to see but easy to kill. Place
a couple of good shots and they will go down easily. When you get close by
you hear the wagon and gun shots come flying your way until Ray yells to stop
shooting. He tells Juarez that the Comanche’s took the wagon and Juarez
mentions that there was 100 rifles on that wagon.

NEW OBJECTIVE: RECOVER THE WAGON WITH THE REMAINING HUNDRED RIFLES

Hop back on a horse and move to the next objective star. You will go between
two mountains in a dark area, and then come to a stop. There will be plenty
Indians here to shoot, so do so with caution. They will be spread out, and
some will be far off in the water. They blend in pretty good water and weeds
so be careful.

kill all the Indians in this area, including the ones in the large river.
Once you do, head into the river and stay toward the left. Find the canoe in
the water here and there will be secret poster 4 waiting for you inside.
If there are any Indians left, kill them and your people will then follow you.
They will ride across the river to the other side. head over with them. If
you get mixed up; just follow your objective star. You will go up a hill on
the other side. You will come to a very dark area between the mountains. In
this area about halfway through you will see a ray of light shining down from
up above on the left side and down to the right side.

Once you get to this light shining down, look on the right side near the
mountain wall and you will see a dead body. next to this body is your last
secret for the level.

Once you get to the end of this area you will see the Indians across the
canyon. Thomas says they don't seem too worried. Ray tells Thomas to head up
the mountain on the left side and he will flush them out from the right.

RAY OBJECTIVE: ATTACK THE INDIANS BY THE WAGON

Thomas objective: CLIMB THE ROCK AND COVER YOUR BROTHER

If playing as Ray, head to the right to the objective star. Once you see
the Indian enemies, begin firing on them. They will be running around
and should be pretty easy to kill. there are plenty rocks to take
cover behind as well so this should be a breeze. once you kill
about 5-6 Indians, your wagon will catch up to you. Juarez will direct you
to get on the wagon and grab the Gatling gun.
If using Thomas, you will need to turn to the left and pull out your lasso.
There will be a nearby lasso point. Stand close to the edge of the mountain
and aim at the lasso point to attach on. Pull yourself up, and head forward
and across the tree bridge. There will be indians over here so kill them
before continuing. There should be 8 or 9 in the area. Follow up the hill
on the left side to the objective star. When you reach the location just aim
down and kill the indians at ground level below.

THOMAS OBJECTIVE: RETURN TO RAY

Lasso on to the tree near the top of the hill and let your self back down to
ground level to reunite with Ray.

Once you get on the Gatling gun the wagon will begin moving. Indians will
come after you on horses, but they are pretty easy to take out using the
Gatling gun. They will attack in waves. So in other words a group of about 4
will attack, and when you shoot them down another group will come soon after.
The Gatling gun is very overpowering here so there should be nothing to worry
about. You should be able to shoot the Indians or the horses to stop them.
Eventually they will stop attacking. Juarez will tell you that you are in
apache territory and the Comanche’s do not need any more enemies.

William tells that the lord is watching over them and there are no evil men,
but only evil deeds. Seeing farther shows up, and they have arrows ready to
shoot. He tells them that the guns are worthless and they should kill them
all, but because William is a friend of seeing father, running river spares
their life. But takes Marisa as ransom.

shoot them down quickly before they warn the rest of their people.

point seeing farther in the right direction through the village.

once you jump over the wooden platform with your brother walk a couple feet up
behind your brother and seeing farther and then look to the left. You will
see a some sort of wooden structure and behind it will be a basket and the
secret poster will be on top.
once you get in this area you will be spotted by one of the Navajo. This is
bad news. Beware in this area since there are tons of Navajo all around ready
to shoot you down. Follow seeing farther over and take cover behind the rocks
in the area. Pop out and fire a couple shots and continue ahead, but don't
venture off to far by yourself because they will surround you. They will
fire arrows and bullets at you.
Your objective star will lead you up a hill so get here as quickly as
possible. Again don't waste time trying to kill all the Navajo
in the area because there are way too many and they will keep coming at you.
Heading up the mountain you will be lead around a couple corners
but continue up. About halfway up Thomas will tell Ray to bomb the rocks
nearby in order to block the path.

farther and you will come up against more enemies. this area will be narrow
so use a rifle here and stay at a safe distance. once you clear the area out,
you will come to a bridge. Before having the chance to cross the bridge it
will be destroyed from the opposite side.

before reaching the broken bridge, notice on your left is a ladder. Climb
this ladder and on the top of the body is secret poster.

Head back the opposite way behind seeing farther and your brother to find
another path to take. Seeing Farther will insist that the grey coyote is
telling them something. You will come to the edge of the cliff, and there
will be a tree with red hand prints on it. Push this tree along with your
brother to create a path across the canyon.
Cross the tree bridge and continue up ahead.

after crossing the tree bridge follow down the road, and it will eventually
come to a river with some semi large rocks in the area. look to the left in
this area, and you will see a dead body with a secret poster next to it.
You will most likely receive a save point here. Once you receive the save
point look to the left and the secret should be waiting here for you.
Once you grab the secret, move over to your brother and seeing farther and
more Navajo will come out and attack. Take cover and take them all out
one by one. Continue ahead after you finish them off. More will eventually
attack so keep firing. They will be at ground level, and also in the
mountains up ahead on the left. After killing the enemies on the mountains
and getting to the end of the path there will be a path on the left of the
river leading up higher. follow this path up. Get over the rocks here with
your brother to continue.

A little way up you will see a large smoke signal. The Navajo are warning the
other villagers of your presence.

NEW OBJECTIVE: KILL THE REINFORCEMENTS COMING FROM THE NEARBY VILLAGE

When you get up to the top of this area, use the previous strategy and take
cover, and kill all enemies up ahead. There will be about 11 enemies in this
area. Once you take them out, head over near the lake with seeing farther and
your brother.
Seeing farther tells that this is where the medallion was placed in the
water, and they will have to go in and down to find it. The brothers decide
it would be a good idea to blow the dam to drain the river. You will see
more Navajo coming by canoe. It may be wise to get away.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GO ALONG THE SHORE TO REACH THE DAM
--------------------------------------------------
Follow the others along the shore to reach the dam. If you wait too long in
this area you will be attacked by more Navajo. There are no secrets here, so
make things easy and just move to the next area. When you get to the top,
shoot down anyone who is waiting here. There should be about 8 - 9 enemies
between yourself and the your next location.

you will come to an area with 2 wooden shacks. Ray will say that the shacks
look like the same type of shacks back at Devlins camp and so the Navajo

once you grab number four, head to the other shack and find another box with
secret 5 inside
Head over to the objective star nearby and your brother and seeing farther

will begin firing at you from the rocks above. Shoot as many of them as you
can and then head to where your brother is.

NEW OBJECTIVE: PLANT DYNAMITE AND DESTROY THE DAM

when you get to this area, you will see multiple red indicators on where to
plant your dynamite. You may want to be sure all the Navajo have been cleared
out first because you will have to run from the area once the dynamite has
been planted. Once you plant all three sticks, you will have 30 seconds to
get away. Kill any Navajo in the mountains and keep going to get as far away
as needed. When time runs out the dam will explode.

Save Point
Watch as the water drains out of the river, and head over to the burial
ground. You have already collected all your secrets, so there is no need to
do much exploring here. Head across the new path made and you will receive a
cut scene.

this is where the medallion is located. A group of Navajo come out from
behind the rocks, but do not attack. Seeing farther tells the brothers that
they will not spill blood on their sacred place. This will trigger a coop
concentration.

one in the mountains up above. Once you kill them, there should be a few more
waiting on the opposite side so take them out as well.

Seeing farther goes for the medallion, and behind him comes a group of
Navajo. Cover Seeing farther and once he says he has the medallion head for
the boat. As you move toward your boat be careful because 5 more Navajo will
attack from behind the rocks. concentration will be useful here if it is
already built up. head down and hop on the canoe.

once you are on the canoe, up ahead you will see two more canoes filled with
Navajo. there should be at least 3 on each. Be sure to shoot ALL of these
Navajo. Once you kill them, there will be 2 more canoes with Navajo again.
Turn around and kill ALL the Navajo on these two canoes as well.

From here you will keep moving, and there will be Navajo on top of the

finally comes to a stop at the bottom. Seeing father tells that they have
violated the sacred place of the Navajo and for that they will be punished.

From where you started the level, there will also be tents on the opposite
side from the first two. Facing Barnsby they will be on the left. go on this

Once you grab these secrets, begin firing at Barnsbys men. They will be on
top of the mountain and also on ground level. There will be a lot of them
so be careful in this area. If you have concentration built up then use it.
Once you fight back enough of Barnsby's men, a Gatling gunner will come out
and begin shooting at you. Take cover.

head to your objective star and look back the way you just came from. Enemy
fighters will be rushing. Shoot them down before they get to close.

head to the mountain behind you and climb up with your brother. Once you get
up, turn around and again begin shooting the enemies down.

them and begin to retreat back further. keep shooting but take cover and move
further back.

Once you get up here you will be in a wide open area with some tall wooden
structures with dead bodies on top. They will be positioned in a circle.

from here find your brother. Ray tells Thomas that he doesn’t have much
dynamite left. not enough to take out all of Barsnby's men. However he does

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET CLOSER TO THE CANNONS BY TAKING THE MOUNTAIN PATH AND
DROP A LANDSLIDE ON THEM

once you talk to your brother, follow right behind him to the mountain path,

NEW OBJECTIVE: PLANT EXPLOSIVE ON THE ROCKS

once you get to the rocks, you will see three objective stars, one is on the
same side as you, and the others are on the opposite side from where you
currently are. Plant the 2 sticks of dynamite on the opposite side first and
then the third on the first side and you will have 10 seconds to get away.
run far away from here, because standing to close will cause you to get
caught in the explosion and you will lose the mission.

The rocks will blow up here and crush the cannon and any of Barnsby's men

all the tents are destroyed and the area cleared. Barnsby introduces himself
and tells running river that he is there for the medallion. If he hands it
over he will let seeing farther live. If not then he will be killed. Barnsby
tells running river that he has until sundown tomorrow to bring the medallion
to the ghost settlement or seeing farther dies.

after entering the ghost town, Head forward and after the 2nd building, turn
right and you will see the bank on the next street over (3rd building on

hearing this, the brothers think they have an idea of which building he may
be inside.

NEW OBJECTIVE: SEARCH THE HOUSE WHERE O'DONNELLS VOICE WAS HEARD

Follow your objective star over to the building. When you get close by,
Barnsbys men will shoot from the second floor. Shoot them down and head to
the building. If you are using Ray, just go inside through the front door.
Kick open the door and 3 men will immediately fire at you. kill them and
head up the steps on the left side. There will be another man waiting
at the top of the steps and one inside the room.
If you are using Thomas, everything still applies but you will need to
lasso up to the top floor to get inside the building. Once you clear
out the building, you notice that barnsby and o'donnell and not here.
Head back outside the building.

NEW OBJECTIVE: SEARCH ANOTHER HOUSE

Head over to the shack where the voice was heard. Again when you get close
by, enemies will begin firing at you. Gun them down before they take you out.
Some will be at ground level and some will be on the second floor.

before going into this building (2nd building) go to the left side and you
will see some horses. near the horses and against the building is a small
light brown box with a secret poster inside.
Grab your secret and head into the building. Kill the 3 men on the bottom
level and head up the steps. Go into the room here and kill 4 more men.
Unfortunately O’Donnell and Barnsby aren't here either. When you head back
outside this building, there will be more of Barnsby men shooting at you
from the saloon. Kill them.

Barnsby finally comes out of hiding here. He says that he has waited a long
time for this day, and demands the medallion. Barnsby tells that he is
getting the medallion even if he has to pry it out of your hands.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET BARNSBY
--------------------------
Once Barnsby is done talking you will see multiple men on the rooftops. Kill
them quickly because they will have a pretty easy shot at you. Kill them
and the ones on the second floor of the saloon. It would be a good idea to
use concentration and take cover at this point. Once you kill enough men,
one will begin tossing dynamite from the roof. you can't shoot him from the
ground level, so Thomas will need to get to higher ground and take him out.

Thomas objective: Get upstairs and kill the bandits throwing dynamite

At this point a group of men will come out in addition to the one tossing
dynamite. Use concentration to take them out quickly. There is a nearby
building (behind you) that you can lasso up to reach the second floor.
Once at higher ground go inside and look out the windows and you will
see two enemies on top of the building. They both have stars over there
head, so be sure to kill both of them.
A Gatling gunner should begin firing at you now. take cover next to the
saloon and take him out when you get a shot.
Once the two brother are both standing in front of the saloon, you will see
red footprints for a coop concentration. Step in the red to begin the coop.

There should be 5 enemies on screen for this coop concentration. they will be
mostly in the middle of the screen. Take the men out and head into the saloon.

Once you get into the saloon door, make a right and go straight over to the
corner. There will be a box with a secret inside.
Head over to the steps to receive a duel. O’Donnell says that he will take
the medallion when he wins. As you walk out of the saloon, running river will
take out the men on the rooftop waiting to kill you. This gives you a fair
one on one fight now.

Duel: O’Donnell

Same as the previous duel, keep O’Donnell centered in front of you, which
means walking the opposite way of him. O’Donnell has very good speed, so
listen for the bell, and watch his arm movements. Keep your hand as close to
your gun as possible without actually reaching for the gun. Once you hear
the bell, flick the right thumb stick back (on PC the mouse) and grab your
weapon. Once the target reticle turns red fire because if you wait too long
you will be shot. This one may take a few tries but you should be able to get
him.
Save Point
As you take out O’Donnell, you hear Barnsby and then a few gun shots. head
upstairs to see what has happened. When you get upstairs, you see that
Barnsby has killed seeing farther. The brothers tell running river to stay
with his son, and they will make Barnsby pay.

Save Point
Head back outside the saloon and follow your objective star. Kill any of
Barnsby men in the way. The objective star will lead you to a nearby cemetery
and church.

In this area you will also find a large barn on the left before getting
to the church. Head in the barn and there will be some of Barnsby men inside.
There should be 4 openings to the barn. next to one of the open barn doors is
a small box with a secret inside.
When you get into the cemetery another Gatling gunner will begin firing on
you. Duck behind the wagon or stones nearby and take him out when you get a
clear shot. There will also be some men inside the church and on the outside
on both the right and left. Use concentration here to take them and the
gunner out.

Once you take out all of the men here including the Gatling gunner, head to
the Gatling gun, and make a right. on this side is your last brown box with a
secret inside. This one should be close to the right corner.
once you grab your secret go back and get on the Gatling gunner.
Barnsby will begin to talk and say today is the day for justice, and he will
be bringing justice on you.

shoot the bell until it falls and destroys the area.

Mexico, Mendoza's fort, near Juarez
-----------------------------------
William is sitting and tied up. He is smacked by Mendoza and demanded to tell
him the secret of the medallion. He says if he is not told how to use the
medallion then they will catch the brothers and kill them. Marisa tells
William a little about her past. She says that she hates Juarez and she needs
someone that can protect her. The brothers decide on getting William back at
any means. Mendoza brings one of his men down and tell him to cut William
throat. As the man gets close to William, he turns his head for a second.
Just enough time for William to pull out his gun and shoot him. Mendoza tells
William that he is not so different from him.
For those who played the original CoJ, this area should be familiar. We stand
back at the fort. You have to choose Thomas to start this mission.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET TO THE FORT
------------------------------
When you begin the mission, head toward the fort. If you walk straight ahead,
pull out your lasso, and there will be a spot where you can pull yourself up.
Before going into the fort, be sure to be prepared for a tuff gunfight. There
will be Mendozas men all over the place here, and they will not hesitate to
take you out. Near the lasso point, there will be a man walking here as well.
Wait till he has walked away to pull yourself up. Once you get up top, duck
down next to the crates, and take out the guy that was previously standing
here.
Once you kill him this will alert everyone, so beware.

NEW OBJECTIVE: LOCATE THE SAFE PLACE NEAR THE FORTS EXIT
--------------------------------------------------------
You need to find the safe spot that you will make your getaway at. This spot
is located at the front of the fort. Once you have taken out the first guy
here turn around while ducked behind the crates and take out a few more
enemies. Be sure not to show your head for too long or you will be killed
very fast. To find the safe spot, just look for your objective star.
Once you kill enough of Mendoza’s men from this spot, stay up top but make a
run toward the location where you killed the first guy. there should be more
crates up here just ahead so run to these and duck down. Kill a few more men
and when the coast is clear keep running around this ledge.

If you keep running around this ledge, you will get to the end and make a
left; this will bring you to your first secret box. Grab the poster out.

Once you grab your secret, drop down off of the wall, and face the way you
just came. To your left will be the fort wall that you were just running on.
Head to this wall and you will see doors leading into the wall. not
including the door behind the tent, go into the third door on this left side
wall and there will be a secret box on the right side.
At any time if you begin to run out of ammo, just run outside the front gate
of the fort and you will find a gun dealer where you can buy more weapons and
ammo.

head to the right side of the fort. Kill any men that attack. You will find
a door to go into the fort wall on this side (the far right wall of the fort).
If you go into the 4th door on this right side of the fort and make a
left, about halfway up there will be a secret box on the floor.

Once you grab this secret, head out and continue following this wall on this
side. After you pass the last door on this side there will be a hay stack
against the same wall and also a secret box next to it.
Head back to your objective star now killing any bandits that get in your
way. The star will lead you to a barn right next to the exit spot from the
fort.

once you get inside this barn, turn to the right and there should be a secret
box on the ground.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET THREE HORSES TO THE HIDEOUT
----------------------------------------------
Here you will now need to find three horses and ride them back to the
hideout. The horses are marked with objective stars. Head out the barn and
to the left. Again keep a sharp eye out because there are more of Mendoza
men all over the place. Follow the objective star to the first horse. Hop
on the horse and just sprint back to the tent and leave him inside.
Save Point
Head back out the barn and repeat the process. I would suggest going around
to the left again here. The next horse will be directly behind the building
in the center of the fort. Fight your way to the horse, and again hop on and
sprint to the hideout and drop the horse off. If sprinting, you should be
able to get to the safe spot without taking too much damage.
Save Point
This time exit the barn and head to the right. the last horse is in the right
hand corner on this side. near secret 4. Hop on the horse and just sprint
back to the safe spot.

NEW OBJECTIVE: PUT OUT THE FIRE AND ELIMINATE JUAREZ'S MEN

Once you take the last horse to the safe spot, the doors will close behind
you. Mendoza men will set the barn on fire and try to burn you alive. facing
away from the fire, there are buckets of water in the back corner on the left
side. Grab one and use it to put out the fire.
Once you put out the fire, kill the men standing behind the door. Don't go
too far out because there will be more than one, and they will also toss
dynamite at you. Once you kill all the men, one final bandit will challenge
you to a duel.

Thomas is pacing back and forth. Marisa comes running out and tells Thomas
that she loves him. Marisa tells Thomas that William is dead, and she shows
him the medallion. She tells Thomas that they cannot wait for Ray.

We flash back to the point where Mendoza ordered William death. The men are
getting ready to kill William when Ray jumps out and takes them out. William
tells ray that he killed a man. Ray tells William that there is nothing wrong
with defending yourself.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET TO THE MAIN GATE
-----------------------------------
Once you gain control, turn around and head to the objective star at the main
gate. You will see a door in this room that you can break open. Open the door
and you will see Juarez run off. Kill the two men in this room and head
through the door. three more bandits will be waiting on the other side of the
door.

Once you kill the three bandits here, make a right and you will see a stack
of boxes on the side. Head pass the boxes and look behind them on the right
side for a box. It has a secret inside.
Once you grab your secret head up and around the corner. Kill the three
enemies here and go to the next hallway. There will be another bandit waiting
at the end of the hall here. Either shoot him down or toss some dynamite down
the hall to take care of him. Head up this hallway and about halfway to the
end there will be a hallway on the right. More bandits will fire at you from
this hallway. Head up the hallway and pass the fire and kill the 5 bandits
here

once you kill the bandits in this area with fire and two pillars and double
gates, look for a double gate on the left of this room. There is a box next
to it with a secret inside.
once you grab your secret, head around the corner up ahead. Kill the two
bandits at the top of the steps and continue ahead. There will be more steps
on the left side corner here. head up the steps and kill the bandit waiting
at the top.

Once you get to the top, you will come to some double doors leading to the
main lobby area. Break open the doors and there will be a group of bandits
on the other side. There should be four.

There should be a market type area right in the middle, and some steps on
the opposite side leading up. Under these steps in the right corner is a
box with a secret inside.
once you grab your secret, go over to the door near William and head in.

Once you get into this last room Ray will say "Thomas is waiting by the
front gate with the horses" In this room there will be more steps. Facing
the steps, head to the right side corner behind the steps and there is a box
with a secret inside.
Once you open the door in here to get to the gate, there will be a group of
men on the other side waiting to gun you down. Don’t go out the door or you
will die. Instead, once you open the door just fall back to cover behind the
wall next to the door. William will eventually close the door back, and tell
you he knows another way out. through the caves.

NEW OBJECTIVE: GET TO THE DRAINPIPE IN THE FORTS DUNGEON

follow William to the next location. Once you go back through the doors more
bandits will attack. Kill them quickly before they get the upper hand on you.
and continue to follow William. He will lead you back down the steps.
Continue to follow him all the way down around the corner and down the next
hall. He will lead you down more steps here and back the way you originally
came.
You will come to the first room and there will be a grate on the floor that
needs to be blown open to proceed.

toss a stick of dynamite on the gate to blow it open. Make sure you don’t
stand close enough to take any damage. Drop down into the drain.

Once you drop into the grate, turn left and there will be a box on top of the
crates and barrels with your last secret of the game inside.
Follow William and the objective star. You will eventually come to an area in
the wine cellar where more bandits will attack from around the corner so be
careful. Kill the bandits here. There should be at least 3 waiting. Head
forward and down the steps leading to the cave once you take them out.
Save Point
Three more bandits will be waiting on these steps. kill them and continue.
This is a dark area, and is filled with bandits so use the objective star to
find your way. just be careful not to rush around any corners or down any
hallways or you will get shot.
Head through the caves, and follow your objective star and also William until
you come to a large area with two large rocks in the water. There is a ledge
up above as well where you will be attacked next.

Juarez tells ray that they could have been friends, but now he will die.
This is a tuff area so beware. Enemies will attack two at a time from the
ledge up above, and will drop down to ground level if not killed fast
enough.

NEW OBJECTIVE: DEFEAT JUAREZ
----------------------------
I found that the easiest strategy here is to stand behind the large rock on
the left side to start with. Use a power weapon here such as the double
barrel shotgun or the rifle. aim up at the opening up above, and shoot down
the bandits as they come out. If you miss one, they will drop down to ground
level and approach so make sure your aim is on point here.
A good strategy for this area, is to remember that if you get into trouble,
you can always retreat back into the tunnel where william is standing. The
bandits wont be able to toss dynamite in here, and this is a good place
to allow your health to regenerate while being safe from fire.
After killing four of the bandits, Juarez will come out shooting and tossing
dynamite. His dynamite can blow up the rock that you have cover behind so
look out for this. You are using Ray so pull out a stick of dynamite and
cook it for a couple seconds and toss it up at him. Stay close and ducked
behind the destroyed rock. There should be enough left for you to duck
behind. If you have enough dynamite left, a few well placed tosses along
with a few gun shots should take Juarez down.
Juarez will tell Ray that he betrayed him. He then challenges Ray to a face
to face duel.

Chapter 15 - COJ25 No Secrets
===============================================================================
William and Ray show up at the holding place of the lost gold. Inside we also
find Thomas and Marisa. Ray tells Thomas that he warned him about what he
would do it Thomas double crossed him again. The brother are at a standstill
with guns toward each other. William feels like he has failed both brothers,
and they are now enemies over a lady. He gets between Thomas and ray. William
tells ray that to get to Thomas he has to go through him. Ray demands that
he step aside or else. William reaches into his bag and Ray fires and shoots
William down. As it turns out, William was reaching for no more than a bible.
Looks like Barnsby is still alive. He tells the brothers that running river
cut him free and he followed them to the gold. He tells that under his
command the south will rise again. He tells the brothers it’s time for them
to pay the price.

NEW OBJECTIVE: KILL BARNSBY AND HIS MEN
---------------------------------------
we see Barnsby running away. as he gets away a bunch of his men step out and
begin attacking. There will be at least two walking Gatling gunners in this
area so do not rush into the area to fight. Just take cover and use
concentration to kill them easily. After killing enough of Barnsbys men, the
temple will begin filling with sand. Once you see the sand begin to fill in
kill the remaining men in your path. There will be two large statues in this
area, both with staircases leading up. However one of the staircases is
broken down. Head over to your objective star and brother and head up the
steps. There should be one of Barnsbys men on the steps, and when you get
to the top there will be another waiting behind the wall. Kill these two and
then hide behind the large pillar up here. Beyond the pillar on the other
side, Barnsby and his men are waiting to kill you. Don't try to go to the
other side with Marisa and Barnsby because the middle will break and you
will die.
All the men on this side are very tuff, so do not underestimate them, and
be sure to stay in cover if you get in trouble. peek out every so often and
one by one take out each of Barnsbys men. Use concentration if to many of
them get on screen. Eventually Barnsby will show his face. He will not stand
in the open for long. He will jump out and fire some shots and then duck back
behind the pillar. Barnsby is tuff here and will take you down in one or two
shots if you get careless. Use your rifle to get some stronger
shots on Barnsby and take cover after each shot. Once you get 4 or 5 well
placed shots on Barnsby he will challenge you to a duel.
The brothers tell Barnsby that it’s time for him to die, and he will run out
of bullets soon. They ask him if he is ready to let the south slip away.
Barnsby challenges one of the brothers to a duel.

them would have stood to the end. William sacrificed himself for the brothers
to save them. In his sacrifice, William turned to the lord and put away his
guns and became a preacher. Thomas and Marisa got married, and the wedding
was done by Ray.

for completing the chapters are not unlocking, am I doing something wrong?
A. You will receive achievements for completing each of the acts in the game
but not for completing chapters. See the table of contents above for
a full list of what chapters apply to which Acts.

Q. How to purchase new character classes
A. You build up money by playing online/ranked matches. When you have enough
money to purchase a new character load to the main menu. From here go into
Multiplayer/(PSN/Xbox Live/Internet)/Unlock Character.

A. Yes there are subtitles in the game. To enable subtitles, go to
Main Menu/options/Audio/subtitles

Q. How do you check the status of achievements?
A. from the main menu choose achievements/Trophy. On the left you will see a
list of achievements. The ones already completed will be checked. On the
right is the status of each achievement (how close you are to reaching)

Q. How Do I recover a deleted profile on the PC version of Call of Juarez?
A. To recover an online profile, start by logging out (from the player
profile screen) and create a temporary account. Once this has been
completed choose "multiplayer" and then "Internet." From the next screen
choose "upgrade to online account." From the upgrade screen choose
"change player profile" (bottom/left). There will be an option on the
next screen to recover your Internet player profile.

Q. How do I use in-game messaging and friend invites on the PS3?
A. First create and start your multiplayer game. You will see the character
selection screen. On this screen, press "Square" to access your options,
and choose "invite to game". This feature is not available in ranked
matches.

A. Type the code 735S653J into the exclusive content menu to unlock content
- This unlocks $40,000 to spend on unlocking new characters

Q. I have the PC version. I have reached a duel, but my mouse will not respond
I can move the character from left to right, but cannot move the hand
A. If your mouse does not respond during duels, try pressing Alt+Tab to
Minimize the game, and press Alt+Tab again to re-open the game.

Q. In chapter 12 I am instructed to blow up some rocks with Ray. I plant
the dynamite, but no matter where I go, I always die when the dynamite
explodes
A. There should be three dynamite indicators here. PLant the two pieces
of dynamite on the opposite side of the rock first. Then plant the
third piece that on the side by itsself. You only have 10 seconds
here, so as a rule of thumb just run the opposite way until the
dynamite explodes rather then running to a spot and waiting.

Q. Where can I find the old west map pack for PC?
A. Currently the Old West map pack has not been released for the PC version
of CoJ:BiB. If this should change I will update the guide on contents
and also where to find it.

Q. On chapter 3, I am at the part where I get inside the stagecoach, and
the bandits are shooting at me from through the windows. I am always
shot down before killing any enemies. How do I pass this part?
A. face the back of the stage coach and as your are riding, the first 3
enemies will attack on your right. the next two on the left, and
then another 3 on the right. You can use your guns, or if playing
Ray using dynamite is also a good idea.

Q. When playing Call of Juarez:Bound in Blood (PS3) online, I am randomly
getting disconnected from multiplayer, and always have a lot of lag. Is
there way to fix this?
A. First, how are you connected online? If wireless, or connected to a
router, try temporarily connecting directly to the modem. If you are
using DSL or a standard router, you will need to configure
port 3658 (UDP) for CoJ multiplayer.

Q. How do I upgrade weapons for multiplayer?
A. Upgrades for multiplayer will improve character health and speed, but not
weapons. While playing the game on PC (Press T) and there will be an
upgrade option on the character class screen. If playing on consoles,
press start, press LB(X360) and L1(PS3) to upgrade.

Patch 1.1 adds a few fixes/improvements to single player, but also
contributes a lot to the multiplayer as well. However, one of the best
features of the patch is that it adds compatibility for user content
creation. Players can now download a few files that will allow them to

USER CONTENT CREATION PACKAGE

The user creation package is a tool that will allow users to create
single and multiplayer maps. This also gives you the ability to
upload them to the web for all users to enjoy.
To get started with the User Creation Package, you first need to download
a couple of files.

2. User Content Creation Package (Link Below)
Once the user creation package is downloaded and installed, you should have
an icon either on your desktop, or in the "All Programs" of your start menu.
I won't be going into details on using the editor here since there are many
great tutorials on the User Content Site. However keep in mind that once a
map is downloaded it will need to be added to the Call of Juarez game
folder into the CoJ2\Data\MapsNet folder for multiplayer, or the
CoJ2\Data\MapsExtra for single player.
