This is the first time me write a FAQ for a game..^^
So if have any mistakes please be forgiving..^^

Oh mine, how me hate .txt files. So hard to do text formatting. nvm, .txt files aren't
meant for data formatting/layout. Now let's get ahead with 'business'^^.
Ok, this is a FAQ written for the NGPC game Samurai Showdown !2. Purpose of writing this
FAQ? One reason is that me find that the present SS!2 FAQs over the net are not complete
and comprehensive enough for a gamer. Most of the FAQs for this game do not even have the
complete movelist for all the characters in the game...sigh. Okay, enough bragging over
such things...me sure that nobody likes to read about these things in any FAQ.

S.C.S (Samurai Combination System)
This is a set of normal slashes chain. S.C.S that end with AAA maxes half of the player's
rage gauge. S.C.S that end with BBB floats the opponent, also it enable the player to
cancel the S.C.S combo to another special or desperation move. S.C.S that end with ABB
gives that opponent around 1/2 lifebar damage.


Character Movelist

Format of the movelist:
     me will give a simple description on the usage of the character. Followed by a
detailed description of the basic/sub and moves of the character. Lastly, me will give some
combos used by the character. Some of the move names are translated from Japanese (As me
Japanese translation is not good, please mail me if the name is wrong.^^ Names translated
from Japanese is (bracketed)

Movelist Structure:
     Basic/Sub attacks - There are 2 areas in the sub/basic attacks. Cancellable and type
of attack. Cancellable means the attack can be cancelled into a move. Type of attack means
where the attack hits. High attacks can be blocked either standing or crounching, Medium
attacks can only be blocked standing and Low attacks can only be blocked crouching.

     Movelist    - List of all the moves available for the character

     Moves from cards - List of all available extra moves from graphic cards.

     Combos      - List of chainhits that me found..^^ Sub-divided into 3 categories,
normal combos from slashes, Technique specific combos(combos that based on a lot on timing
and quick reaction to perform.) and High damage specific combos (combos that deal
huge/insane damage to the opponent.)





Asra(Slash)

     Description: Asra(Slash) is a character that uses his range to trap/kill
opponents. Most Asra's moves are slow and not combo-able. Has a ranged projectile. Jump
attacks are more ground-based than air-based.

Asra(Bust)
     Range:       Long
     Speed:       Slow
     Description: Same as Asra(Slash) except that Asra(bust) has a fast
projectile,and a projectile that is unblockable. Asra(bust) is capable of flight. Asra's
lightning is a very strong move to use, a sure hit 'uppercut' to counter against opponents
who like to jump.Asra(bust) Hidden Method of Mayhem is unblockable.

Morozumi Taizan(Slash)

     Description: Taizan(slash) has one of the highest damaging Hidden Methods of
Meyhem in the whole game (more than 1 lifebar out of 2). Quite fast in some of his moves,
but most of his moves are predictable.

Meyhem.

Tactics, Combos, Strategies!
Due to the fact that not many characters in this game have high damaging combos or combos
that require 'intense technique' to perform. me decided to have a section like this.
Basically this section contains all the 'wonders' me found out after 1.0 version of this
FAQ is out and that's around 3 mths.(you can call them 'real wonders'. Oh mine, SNK should
really hire me as a playtester^^). Ok, ok, enough blabbing. Let's get started.

Combo revision...let's do some revision on the types of combos. We have...'chains'(normal
chaining up of hits/moves), 'juggles'(series of hits that keep opponent away from the
ground), 'OTGs'(some of you who are not familiar with this term, OffTheGround, mostly used
in Capcom's vs.series, flip opponent up from downed position), 'Delayed' (combos that uses
the time delay of moves), 'Crossovers' (combos that attack opponent's back) and lastly
'infinites' (series of 'chains' that chain up together, forming an unbreakable pattern of
hits).

So, how is this suppose to help or mean? you might say.. But this is basically how me
catagorise/sort out the combos me found. These also become the 'backbone' of all fantastic
combos that anybody had seen. Take a look at this example.

Jubei(Slash/Bust)

S.C.S+BBB, walk-under opponent, Down+A(tap, opponent standing), QCF+A(hold), Forward+A
(tap), QCF+A(hold), Down+A(hold), Jump+A(hold) (10hits)

This is an example of a simple 'chain' attack, followed by 'crossover', 'OTG', another
'chain' and lastly, 'juggles'. Knowing how to break up combos is important, you can break
up a combo and link up with another. Normal hits are static, but the variety of chaining
hits up is endless. With the above example, me can change it to another type of combo...

S.C.S+BBB, walk-under opponent, Down+A(tap), QCF+A(hold), Forward+A(tap), QCF+A(hold),
Back,FTD+A (super, for Bust version) or DPF+A(hold) (slash version).

As you can see, just by changing the 'juggle launcher'(Down+A, hold), another combo is
'found'. There are more variations like:

S.C.S+BBB, walk-under opponent, Down+A(tap), QCF+A(hold), Dash+A, Down+A(tap), QCF+A(hold),
S.C.S+BBB...

An infinite is 'formed'. This is Jubei's 4th infinite in this game. (this game is an
infinite fest). So, vary with the different slashes/kicks/punches. You will find a lot of
absurd combos that you think will never be done. me cannot list out all the combos in the
game.(then this FAQ will be 'never-ending')

Speaking of 'juggle launchers', there are 2 common 'juggle launchers' in the game, Down+A
(hold) and the last hit of S.C.S+BBB. Both can be comboed into another move/hit. S.C.S+BBB
is very simple, but comboing after the Down+A(hold) is an 'art' (since Down+A,hold is not
cancellable at all. However Jubei and Haohmaru can find some way to combo, me see a
possibility of other characters to combo too^^). An example of 'uncommon juggle launchers'
in the game is Kazuki(bust) 2nd hit of his 3 part attack (slide,uppercut,jump and hit
down). Just perform till he does his uppercut, then wait for a while ('delayed' combo) and
Kazuki can juggle the opponent^^ (you can do a standing A or jump+B for example). That ends
the combo revision, me will list down the infinites of this game.

List of known infinites. 13 characters out of 15 have infinites.(me list the simple ones,
there are longer variation to some of the character's infinites, like
Nako's,Jubei's,Kazuki's etc). Yuga and Rimururu have no infinite at present.

Samurai Graphic Cards:
Each character in the game have 8 different graphic cards, 4 for slash version and 4 for
bust version. During character selection, the player is given the choice to equip 2 cards
of his choice for the chosen character. In total there are 120 different cards in the game
and the player can collect 8 cards of the same type each, making it a total of 960 cards.


Rarity of Graphic Cards:
The number of stars at the bottom-left of the card denotes the card's rarity, with * the
lowest and *** the most rare. Each character has one *** card, two ** cards and one * card
for each version(slash/bust).

Graphic Cards Abilities:
There are 4 different cards for each character. One card powerup the character's damage and
allows the character to cancel his/her standing strong slash (A, long). One card beefed up
the defences of the character, reduces the amount of damage taken. The other 2 cards either
give the character new moves or powerup the damage/hits of their current existing moves.


Codes:

       There is only the code to use Yuga.

During character selection, go to the prompter(Kuroko). Hold B button (you will hear a
'blub' clicking sound). Rotate the joystick in 360 motion in any direction 3 to 4 times,
pushing the joystick to the end in each direction. If you do it correctly, you will hear a
'confirmation' sound and the prompter(Kuroko) will be replaced by Yuga (do not let go of
the B button until you select Yuga).


Comments and Future Enhancements:

Wah..finally finished this FAQ after so long. In the next update version of the FAQ me will
add in the move names that are missing in this version.(those with the brackets( ) and
