2. HOW DO I GET SKILLS?
well according to the www.neogeo.co.jp site, each time you complete
a stage you get a percentage increase in finding a rare skill, base
on the difficulty setting. If you are plaing on easy, you get 0
points, normal 3, and hard gets 6 points. These points are the
percentage of you obtaining a rare skill for the round. Not exactly
sure how this works, but I have two ideas:
let's say we are fighting at hard difficulty...
you play against 4 people in the sunken ship stage, so you get a 24%
chance of winning a rare, whereas you play 10 people in the ship
graveyard, and so you get a 60% chance of getting a rare???
or you get 6% increases for each stage you play until you get a rare,
and then it will reset to 0. Can't quite tell, since I've gotten a few
streaks where three boards in a row give me rare skills.
3. WHY GET ALL THE SKILLS?
It may sound pathetic, but snk is promoting the KoF r-2 with a little
competition, in which 100 special seiko watches will awarded to the
people who complete making mode. I only need three more. I haven't
heard anything, but I think one of them is called scrap... :-/
Anyhow, It's also kind of fun when you get all the transformations to
have Mai dressed as Rugal, talking to Kasumi about how Andy belongs to
her... I guess I'm just a bit twisted here. Actually, some of the skills
are a hoot. HIPITY is one of the most interesting, as it gives anyone a
unique counter that draws from 5 of their moves. Basically, it's a 5 hit
combo, but it seems to use different motions for each character...
4. HOW CAN i KILL OF MY ENEMY FASTEST, WITHOUT GETTING HURT?
Some characters have a combo setup that will take advantage of the CPU's
startup lag. The CPU takes about 2-3 seconds to actually start its
attack, but in case you throw a projectile, or certain specials, it'll
startup right away. Anyhow, here are a few ways too annihilate your foe
without worrying about which skills you are holding.
These are not really combos, but more like routines.When you see a part 1
and a part 2, you should do part 2 after the opponent is dizzy, as it is
the more damaging combo.
Chris (normal or orochi)
jump A/B, stand A, forward+B, jump A/B, stand A, forward+B, QCB+A
this will dizzy any opponent, unless your faint rate is altered.
you can follow with:
jump A/B, stand A, forward+B, QCB+A
or more powerful (for RYO or IORI, who have higher intrinsic defense)
jump A/B, stand A, forward+B, HCF+B
and then:
jump A/B, F,QCF+A. (should kill)
or any DM/SDM
SHERMIE (normal)
(part 1)jump A/B, stand A, forward+B
(part 2)jump A/B, stand A, forward+B, HCB+A, QCF+B
follow with part 2 again.
note:watch all the hits, and then look at the hit count on the screen.
Even though the shermie whip hits twice, it is a throw and the hits are
not counted. :-\
SHERMIE (orochi)

follow with part 2 again.
RUGAL
jump A/B, stand A, jump A/B, stand A, HCB+A, walk close and QCF+A(hold)
this will create the electricity ball, when the enemy gets up, it will
either get ticked to death, or attempt to roll past, which is just as
futile :) The second standing A should hit twice, otherwise, the combo
routine won't work, so try to be close in the second punch.
YASHIRO

even on difficult it is too stupid to block.
